hi guys! How are you?
Welcome one more Thursday to this channel
my name is Carito
and I hope you had a good New Year party
hope you've had a super great time
I want to talk with you that before New Year
I had a trip with one of my best friends
to a city that is more or less near from the city where I live
and well I was thinking that
every time I travel,
I'm arming and disassemble my skates
for security
simply even if you pay
your traveler's insurance
everything can happen so I always prefer
to separate my frames and
put them in one side and the boots take them apart
si it was interesting for me
share with this with you so that you can know
how to arm and disarm your skates
because you can use it not only while traveling
you can use it when you want to change
of discipline, it means that if you want to change your frame
an aggressive frame and yours is of fitness
or if you want to change from fitness to slalom, etc
so I think it's super important
and interesting you to know how is that I arm them
so let's start with the video but first
give it like and subscribe to the channel to know
that you're liking this kind of tutorials
and now let's begin with the video
well guys let's start disarming
our skates
here i have my babies
and for this frame what I need is
an allen key of 4.0
which is the key that I use for my wheels
and I also use this one of 4.5 mm
or 3/16 of allen
which joins the frame to the boot
so I'm going to use these two
but you have to find which kind of keys do your type
of skates use
and in this case my frame
is for wheels of 72mm
or the size is 219
so
we're going to take off 2nd wheel
and last one going from toe to heel
I will take out the second and fourth wheel
obviously it depends on the size of your frame
what you can do for the first time is to take out all your wheels
and observe in which point
or wheel you've to take them out
you will take them for not disarming all
so you will see in which wheels
is the screw
that joins the frame to the boot and so that it will be
much easier and fast now I'll take
this key that is the boot key
and I'll insert it well, here before taking out
the screws that join the boot
I marked with polish nail
here you can see it pink
I marked with polish nail the measure
in which are placed
the frames so that
it will not go out of control
the movement because for 1 mm
your skating could get affected specially
in Freestyle Slalom
is important that the measurement are precise
so what I did is to mark my frames
before taking out the screw
and now be careful with these screws because
as they are small
they can get lost easily
so what I recommend you is
to loose them a little bit
from both sides
once you marked the
lines where the screws are
and you keep going until is completely out
the screw
and now take your screws
take them out the frames
and place them
in the boot
for not loosing them
adjust them a little bit for not loosing them
now we take out the other screw
and done, is set
if you don't understand something about the wheels
or about the frames I let you down here the link
well 2 links, first one that is about how
to move your frame depending where
does your skate or feet is bending
and second link that I will let you
is about what type of wheels
you can use or what kind
hardness, size or shape
do the wheels have so
I let you those links down here
in the description box so that you could know
well what we're talking about right now
and what I'm going to do next after
taking out and separate the frame
of the boot is that I'm going to place
the wheels but only semi placed
semi placed means that I will not adjust them completely
because like this
will be more quickly when I want to place them again
and ready we will have like this
separated our frames
from our boot you can keep them
as I normally do while traveling
that I do it separately for not loosing them
in case something happens and
and now for arming them again
what you have to see is that in this part
internal
where the boot supports
here we support the boot
there are some writtings
in the heel in toe we have nothing
in heel we can see some writting
which are the size of the frame
which in my case is 219/72mm
and these mean that is the size
that fits maximum to this frame
which are the wheels of 72mm
and little bit down it comes
a letter that says R or L
this will indicate you
which frame is, if it says R
of RIGHT or L of LEFT
so thanks to this you will notice
where you have to place your frame
and remember that where the text is
where the heel goes
so to arming again your skates
we will do exactly the same
we take our key of the boot
loose a little bit the screws
they have two pieces these screws so
be careful of not loosing them
I will let them here for not loosing them
we take out these screws
careful
and now let put
the frame taking out
the wheels as I mention before
remember that is toe to heel
with the text you will guide you
so we take out
again the wheels
and now lets insert
the screws have to point
the screw rope has to point to the boot
so place the screw from the inside of the frame
like this, to come out the screw rope
and you inserte the second screw
so that
you can insert them well
to your boots
and adjust them again
little by little
so that we can
enter to the perfect position as it was
remember that you
have to place them exactly where you marked
the line, I marked it with a polish nail
so adjust them a little
move the frame exactly in the measurment
where you want it and
now you tight them
tight them well so not get loosen
and now we are going to place our wheels
remember that for placing our wheels
we always have to observe which
side of the wheel is less worn out
and the side which is less worn out is the one
that is going to be in the internal part
of the skate, it means
in our internal part
of our foot where our heels join
and there is where it goes the side less worn out of the wheels
in this case this side is the less worn out so
I will put it
in the internal side of the feet
and the same with the second wheel
we search which side is the less worn out
and we place it in the internal part
we took our key for the wheels
and we adjust them well for
not get loosen
our screws
and done!
that's how our skates stayed again
