If you've ever had the opportunity to have dinner in the dining car of a train, then
you'll probably have some pretty fond memories of it.
Now, I'm not talking about grabbing a hot dog and a bag of chips at the concession stand,
but rather sitting down to a complete meal in the dining car.
The recipe we're making today is inspired by just that.
Plus, it's perfect for this time of year when you want to serve something special.
The first thing we're going to do is mix some softened butter with some mixed garlic, a
squeeze of lemon juice, and chopped parsley.
Then we spoon that down the center of a piece of wax paper and roll it up, creating a log.
While the butter chills in the fridge we'll cook up a couple of strip or rib-eye steaks
that we've seasoned.
When the chilled, season butter hits the hot steak and begins to melt, get ready to take
a bite of the most flavorful steak you ever tasted.
To get the recipe for our melt-in-your-mouth steak all you have to do is visit our website
and look for what we call Dining Car Steak.
I'm Howard in the Mr. Food Test Kitchen, where today we found a dining car-fancy way for
you to say, "Ooh It's So Good!"
Mmm.

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks - Duration: 1:35.
With summer winding down, and life getting back to normal, many of you are looking for
something new and exciting to shake things up.
That's why you're gonna love the stuffed pizza sticks we're making today.
And, after taste-testing them, we found these are just as good served as a snack as they
are with a meal.
After unrolling a can of refrigerated crescent dough, we start by pinching the seams together,
creating four rectangles, like this.
Then we sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese down the center of each piece, shake
on some Italian seasoning, and top that with sliced pepperoni.
Now, the dough gets folded over the filling, and we seal the edges.
That way, none of the cheesy goodness oozes out as it bakes.
Okay, we give each one a twist and brush 'em with some butter, and shake on some Parmesan
cheese before baking them off.
While these bake, I suggest heating up some spaghetti sauce, so you can dip or top them
with even more goodness.
I have a feeling that this is gonna be one of those recipes that you're gonna make over
and over again.
To get the recipe for these Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks, all you need to do is visit
our website.
I'm Howard, with Kelly, in the Mr. Food Test Kitchen, where today we found a pizza-perfect
way for you to say, "Ooh It's So Good!"

How Copyright Works: Co-Writing & Performance Rights Organizations (PROs) | ASCAP BMI SESAC - Duration: 8:57.
In this video, we will discuss co-writing.
What that mean is to write music with someone else,
how you make the business arrangement of it and as well as what can go right and wrong.
We'll also discuss the performance rights organizations.
ASCAP, BMI and SESAC,
songwriters belong to one of them and
these performance rights organizations pay the songwriter for performances of the music,
so that's very important.
To begin with co-writing,
it is assumed that if you don't state
otherwise and there are two names on a copyright registration,
that the agreement is 50-50.
If I wrote all the music and a person over here wrote all the words,
then we're 50-50 owners.
I own half the words even though I wrote none of them.
She owns half the music even though she didn't write any of the music.
But it's a 50-50 split and that's
if you didn't say anything and there are two names on it.
What's very common though is for people to say,
"We're going to work as a team and let's write a few songs,
or let's write one song and see how it goes."
The issue that comes up is did both people
contribute equally and how do they feel about this?
This can get into sensitive issues as well,
it can be feelings.
You can't exactly quantize when two people contributed music and lyrics.
You can't literally say that was 49.6 percent and this is 51.4.
You can't get into that perfectly so you have to give an estimate.
What most people will say is they all agree that we're going to be co-writers,
The Beetles are great example,
Lennon and McCartney realized that they're going to be,
let's just say, we're co-writing, 50-50 on everything.
Paul song, Getting Better,
great song from Sgt Pepper.
He wrote it completely John Lennon inserted one line,
it was grey, it's very sarcastic.
When Paul says, "It's getting better all the time" and Lennon just says,
"Couldn't get much worse."
In terms of the number of words,
that's not 50 percent of the words but it was just a really cool line.
The Doors, famous American group from the 60's,
the first three albums,
all music in all compositions was by The Doors,
so the four of them shared in the music.
But later on this had to become issues where look,
we're not all equal.
From their fourth album and on,
they decided to break it up and say, "No,
okay, these two wrote this song,
this one person wrote that song."
But these are the issues you have to understand and know how you're going to go about,
are you going to have a formal written document saying that's how this works?
There are a lot of things that can go right and wrong with this.
It could be you again,
do it after the song you say, "Well,
okay, just count me for 10 percent, I didn't do much."
But that's one of the things that can happen with co-writing.
When it comes to co-writing,
another thing to consider is well,
how long is the copyright term?
How long does copyright last?
It lasts for your lifetime plus 70 years after you're deceased.
So, if you write with someone,
you're work is going to go for a long time and a lot of things can take place with it.
Also, you reap the rewards,
the benefits and the disadvantages,
some problems can come from it.
I'll give you an example without mentioning names.
Four songwriters who are very well-known,
have a pretty very well-known song.
The four of them are interesting people live in different places.
One of the writers started not
making intelligent choices in his life and started doing some foolish things.
He through the influence of his partner started saying,
"These people stole our song."
The other three listened and said,
"They didn't steal our songs,
these songs aren't close, what are you doing? "
But, as one of the four writers,
he had the right to go sue,
to initiate a copyright infringement lawsuit against
these other writers and he did and they lost quickly in a motion for summary judgment.
What happens is the other three writers
who had nothing to do with it said, "Don't do this."
They ended up having to pay a significant court costs because of the action of one.
Is just something that goes to show it could occur,
that's kind of rare but it can happen.
Another thing that can happen is say
you go on to be come co-writer with someone else and that first-person you co-wrote with,
might think, "Hey, that new song of yours is like the one we wrote 10 years ago."
So, you could also potentially be sued for infringing what you did earlier.
It can get that complicated.
Those are the worse case scenarios but it's very helpful to know about them.
When it comes to Performance Rights Organizations,
there is three in the United States, three primary ones.
ASCAP is one of the oldest.
It's been around since around 1909.
It was formed by Broadway composers to make sure their music was
being whenever it was played that there would be paid for it.
ASCAP was the American Society of Composers,
Authors, and Publishers, is what the acronym stands for.
But it was created for that kind of music and they excluded a lot of music.
They excluded jazz, blues,
country, they didn't care,
they were more the Broadway the higher-paid composers.
BMI came in 1939,
it's Broadcast Music Incorporated.
It was put together by radio companies.
They had a much different approach,
they thought let's do the music that ASCAP doesn't do.
So, they were more likely to get into Country,
folk, blues, jazz and the music that ASCAP had ignored.
In between those in 1930,
came SESAC as European company and it's for profit.
ASCAP and BMI are non-profit.
So, everything about them becomes public,
the money they're making.
SESAC is for profit,
it always has been and they escaped to this country just to police copyrights.
They were first saying,
the Americans were just dealing,
they were paying royalties on music from European so, that's what they started.
But now all three ASCAP,
BMI and SESAC have so much in common.
They're just trying to look out for their members and trying to get them paid.
So, if you're an ASCAP writer and you want to write with a BMI writer,
I definitely give this advice is something to try.
If your song has some success,
whatever the level success is,
one of you is ASCAP and one of you is BMI.
Well, when the checks come in,
see what they are,
they won't be the same.
Because ASCAP, and BMI, and SESAC,
they are very proprietary and secretive about how they calculate payments.
If you're the ASCAP person working with the BMI person and
the BMI person made a good amount the more money than you did,
then you as the ASCAP person need to go to ASCAP and say, "Hey, look at this.
We are co-writers it's 50-50."
Then ASCAP would likely raise the money so it's the same,
or tell you, "Well, okay,
but we do this kind of performance differently,
so when the music gets here we'll pay more."
They may pay more for television,
they may pay more for certain radio stations.
I mean nothing to understand is the way the PROs work is,
if your music is played on New York radio on a Friday,
that's better than New York City Radio Tuesday at four in the morning.
That's better than the city of Boston which is smaller than New York and then you
take the Moines Iowa which is smaller than Boston and you go on and on.
So, they have different rates for what part of the country music is being played,
how long it's being played and so forth.
So in conclusion, it's very important to think before you get into co-writing to realize
it is legal whether you want to have a written document
that establishes the relationship and the songwriting splits,
that's a good idea.
But whether you do or not it is legal and there's so many advantages to co-writing,
but it's good to know all round what the good things they
can lead to and the mistakes that could occur from it.

The Science of Being Scared - Duration: 3:59.
[ intro ]
Hi everyone!
I've been looking for Squeaks all morning.
I know he's around here somewhere, but I can't find him.
Squeaks?
Where are you, buddy?
Oh, it's only you, Squeaks.
You scared me.
[Squeaks apologizes].
Apology accepted, Squeaks.
I know you were only trying to surprise me.
For a second there, when you scared me, I felt myself want to run away really quickly!
Then, when I realized it was you, that feeling went away.
You must have triggered my fight or flight response.
[Squeaks asks what that is]
That's something that happens when animals like us get scared, because we want to get
to safety as quickly as possible.
It's okay to feel scared sometimes.
It happens to everyone, even grown-ups!
If we're scared, and our brains decide we need to get somewhere safe quickly, there
are two main things that can happen.
Sometimes, our brains will decide on the fight option, so that we can scare away whatever
is scaring /us/.
Without really meaning to, we might suddenly feel angry, and even try to fight whatever
scared us.
Other times, our brains will decide on the flight option.
[Squeaks asks if this means Jessi can fly]
Good guess, but it doesn't mean we can fly!
Flight is another way to say "running away".
If our brains choose flight, we might feel even more scared than before, and want to
run away from whatever scared us as fast as we can.
For either fight or flight, we don't really make the choice ourselves; our brains and
bodies just react without us thinking about it.
[Squeaks asks for elaboration]
It might sound strange, but our brains are trying to get us to safety quickly, so it
doesn't give us time to really think about what we want to do.
Fight or flight is an instinct: something our brains and bodies do naturally, without
us thinking about it.
It's the brain's way of protecting us.
When we get scared, our brains sends signals all over our bodies, preparing for action.
It makes our heart and lungs work faster to get energy to our muscles, so that we can
run really quickly, or fight really hard.
It even makes our eyes focus better, so we can see things moving more easily.
Our bodies will stay ready to fight or flee, until we're safe.
[Jessi stretches/yawns]
[Squeaks squeaks a concern]
I am a bit tired now, Squeaks.
The fight or flight response put my body into overdrive, with so many muscles and organs
getting ready to leap into action.
Now I can start to feel how much energy went into that response.
If your brain goes into fight or flight mode, you may not notice what's going on to your
body very well.
But once you realize everything's okay, your brain allows you to think clearly again,
and you might notice that you're really tired, hungry, or thirsty.
Whew.
I sure am glad that it was only you trying to surprise me, Squeaks, and not something
really scary.
I'm glad that I didn't run away too far!
[Squeaks squeaks a suggestion]
That's a good idea, Squeaks!
Squeaks says that when we feel ourselves getting scared, it might help to take a deep breath
in, and then a deep breath out really slowly, like this.
[Jessi demonstrates]
This can help our brains stay out of fight or flight mode, so we don't feel as scared.
Let's try it.
Ready?
[Squeaks attempts to scare Jessi, and Jessi takes a deep breath, and lets it out slowly.]
That worked pretty well!
I felt scared for a moment, but my breathing gave me enough time to realize that it was
only you, and I felt better.
But just in case, let's go play something less scary, like chess!
[Squeaks agrees]

Hear me out on listening.
Hear me out on how you listen and how you can listen.
Today's parable of Jesus is about that.
It happens very often that we get tired by different attempts to encounter the Bible.
It seems that it does not bring any benefits to us.
It often happens so because we listen badly, we cannot listen.
Jesus addresses the parable exactly to us, who want to learn to listen.
Before you open the Bible, ask yourself a question - Are you geared to listen?
Are you ready for the Word that will come to you today to overwhelm all of you?
Are you ready for the Word to affect your will, to affect your mind,
to seize your emotions? Are you ready for it?
If so - it means you can listen because listening we are invited to
is not only recording sounds, letters or wording - it is the readiness to be totally seized by the Word.

Nonito Donaire vs Luis Maldonado | KO Rd 7 | Boxing Highlights - Duration: 19:38.
these tailor the tape here at Foxwoods Donaire turned 25 just two weeks ago
four years younger than Maldonado the champion with the slight edge in height
and recent at yesterday's weigh-in both came in under the 112 pound limit by one
pound and the key unified rules is no standing 8-count no three knockdown rule
a fighter can't be Saved by the Bell in any round if an accidental head butt
costs the fight to end within four it's a no decision after four rounds they go
to the cards if a punch causes a cut and the injured fighter cannot continue he
loses by TKO so here at Foxwoods in connecticut we

known as the filipino flash introducing no neatly
once again ladies and gentlemen 12 rounds of boxing scheduled our referee
in charge now to give instructions Charlie Dwyer tell me both all the rules
set a good clean fight obey my commands at all times shake hands good luck
when sweaty
we get our tripleheader underway with the IBF flyweight championship kendo
neato Donaire build on his stirring wind just five months ago we know he can
punch but he also brings good skills and lightning speed and a very fast daughter
the aggressive Louis Maldonado very tough guy who seldom goes backwards tard
though as Donaire which could be a huge factor probably if there's one thing in
this match that we would be looking at it's a question of whether Luis
Maldonado can attack make Donaire feel his punches
Donaire the champion in the red with the white trim Walden Otto the Challenger on
the red and green Maldonado can take a punch has lots of heart however he is
hittable any cuts which could also impact tonight Maldonado mainly a boxer
counter puncher good body puncher will switch to southpaw usually in round two
for summaries like clockwork although Donaire doesn't think he'll
switch as much versus a right-hander we shall see interestingly donators only
lost against the southpaw after that he quit for a while his heart wasn't in it
but in time he realized he loved the sport early on here in this match what
we want to see is when Maldonado is attacking Donaire does he square his
body to him and make himself a more available target
Donaire fields have all done out will be easier to hit them dark in Ian because
he keeps coming forward dar Chilean as unorthodox as he is fights more from the
outside as you can see down there with those high red socks terrific physical
attributes tall angular strong good reach factors against dark idiot
will they impact here tonight here's that nice jab and a good right hand
followed by a left uppercut by the narrow zone there has a complete arsenal
and the hook that knocked our Tinian out was a punch that he wasn't using for a
lot of fights because it was injured early in his career and now he it's a
weapon for him and they want to land it in every fight jaan expectedly it was
the telling punch most thought the right would be more instrumental and there is
a good left hook by Conair Henare had broken his left hand earlier
in scre as you point out and it had posed problems throughout his career it
was a perfect left hand with uncanny anticipation I mean he too is I
mentioned Walton I was a good counter puncher but so is Donaire if you recall
now Jenny was just about ready to throw a left hand himself when he got nailed
with the left hook by Donaire and the punch had so much force behind it that
their chin Ian was completely disoriented didn't even realize he'd
been knocked out you know so far in this match
Donaire has also had the edge in hand speed his combination is the much
quicker than Maldonado now we we noted on there's a quick starter so we kind of
expect that 20 seconds left in the opening round scheduled for 12:00 for
the IBF flyweight belt has mentioned Maldonado battled Christian Mijares to a
draw no easy feat although Mijares a southpaw some compared Donaire to
Mijares because of his size and punching accuracy
but talked about the left hook and how it is now an important punch for him
countering left just like the one that got to dart inin because it was a right
hand for right at the end that first time Maldonado switched lefty so he beat
it by about four seconds he did switch to lefty in the first round against dart
chin e'en which may have actually worked against him because I thought he was
more effective with his straight right bucks and he just didn't jab enough in
that fight we'll see how this one goes against the man who conquered to our
chin Ian you noticed in the corner of donair the man talking to him was his
his dad knows Itoh donair senior said he father son seems to be the case here put
on there
really caught and Bonato disoriented he's in some trouble now is he back
pedals
he's got him against the ropes with a huge right hand to start things off some
bleeding now he'll and even as a lefty Maldonado is having trouble and he
mentioned bleeding manolito is trying to end it in dramatic fashion the face of
all tonight oh now a bloody mess now this is nothing new with him
the blood from Maldonado all over the chest of donair the left hook upstairs
and Maldonado stumbled momentarily but maintained his balance southpaw stance
here I always feel that when a guy switches to southpaw he loses something
his offense and defense does suffer zone there has mixed in some great lead
rights like that one that set Maldonado back on his heels but the left hook has
been an impressive weapon as we look at it from above there's the right hand by
Donaire and later on the left hook would become a factor as a lefty now the right
hand very low from all donato and Donaire turns that hook over
and I clean up the mess on the face of Luis Maldonado a ringside physician dr.
Michael Schwartz was in there but here's some the bleeding erupts out of the
corner of his right eye even for the next round begins
so he's in difficulty already here to begin round 3
you know Maldonado came back as we noted with four wins after the loss to the
ginning but three were against fighters with records of 10 and 17 7 and 28 and 2
and 3/4 sergio Espinoza's 14 3 his last win and it was a tough finish
the final minute of round 3 it's scheduled for 12 but will it go that
deep Donaire said he said he thought it just hammers away with the white it just
makes their complete he's just red-faced
swing and a Miss by Donaire looking for the end
eleven of his 18 wins by knockout don't air
and he's looking for number 12
okay do you have to keep going in this fight
he's handsome
hey you know the corner to go lefty we see him there as a right hander but
that's where he did switch to lefty and the problem is he's been ineffective
from both stances and when he goes to the left-handed sense there's the left
hook by donated that would miss but for he'd been landing so steve righty or
lefty there's no safe haven for this young man famed cut man Jimmy Montoya
earning his money tonight he actually worked with nonito Donaire in the past
for about three years nonito actually lived in Jimmy's house
for a while so he knows the champion very well but boy he's got his work cut
out here with the cuts Jimmy Montoya really a great boxing guy
as a trainer cutman manager and all the rest nonito Donaire 18 and 111 knockout
six and a half year pro he's in the red trunks Luis baldanado with the more
experienced 37 1 and 1 28 Kos a nine-year veteran IBF number for his
second world title shot but it is not going well
they're singing with that left hook and how about Donaire switched to lefty
momentarily and there is now actually coming to left
nice right hook my mouth and there's in the keys I said though
there can't throw wild punches that's exactly what he did there
he got hit with a really good right hook by Maldonado did that punch make a
difference in what the raisins versus Jose Cardenas
July o6
took the second round left hand straight left that scored by
Maldonado
yeah there was a balance situation for Maldonado
and also the good news not bleeding except for a little bit from the right
eye
and it's going around the ice Maldonado who look completely out of this fight
will land a big right hook there's that's the first of what was a number of
good punches that he landed not just the right hook but also some very good
straight left hands and later on in the round he would keep the pressure up
using his jab as a rangefinder there was a nice left hook by Donaire and he got
to kind of pushed backward but it was in around Louie's small got to be careful
now he can't get too cute he is dominate as the you know the first three plus
rounds and then all of a sudden Maldonado got his wake-up call and you
know for some reason - there went into a southpaw stance which seemed to be
uncalled for at the time he was dominating in a Orthodox stance
inexplicable and you know this reminds us that Maldonado has been ranked in the
top 10 and there has been much more to the body
shot by Donaire great shot downstairs in the in the last round is a straight left
hand that scored by Maldonado he's got the Donaire back packing up but
as he's backing up a nice left hook by Donaire there will always and he's come
back in to scrap up the power of don't air
but left hand there by right on the nose you seen some blood on that show as well
I think
but maybe more sometimes we were even seeing from the face of mom
around sex scheduled for 12:00 for the IBF flyweight championship detailed
O'Dare the champion of the red with the white trim Louis Maldonado ranked number
four the Challenger on the green and red and white team up keep up
we're seeing a real lesson in how resilient are there to do go straight
that shook Maldonado up momentarily but he comes
tough kid Maldonado
and he's scoring
better after he gets drilled and he continues to come forward
guts
but clearly around Donaire one but an exciting one nonetheless and we had
around seven who thought it would go this far after the way it started
Maldonado the kind of fighter that just doesn't back down you know you ask
yourself if Luis Maldonado was just a little more powerful you know when he's
been into the mob them out or not getting in from time to time but and you
know Donaire will be tested and as we look at
the press hrothgar know they're in charge
five hundred fifty nine fifty five four
different kind of a fighter than Glenn indeed the war technical there's a nice
that took today to the chin well if there was any part of the Leto's been
there then there's preparations to this fight that he did skimp on because of
all the trips to fill Philippines and all the rest
not only taking the business here
so we don't see the evidence of so there has been excellent
he's won just about every round and he is what he got up though in a rocket
nonito Donaire dramatically ends that round a big uppercut that's the one that
started the problem for Maldonado and then this left hook sends him to the
canvas great uppercut on the inside by donator that froze Maldonado there it is
look at him he's just got throws right there and then got hit with the big left
hook by nonito Donaire somebody asked Maldonado the car do you want to
continue what did you expect him to say I mean after what we've seen in his
career not only tonight he's seen a number of times he never quit he has no
quit really richest a greedy performer
Donaire I think wants to go out there and get him up in this round
feel the resolve did he fight then they're a little
cause for optimism is the amount of stress
there's a garage
the very closely but he lets it go on as Donaire just let
up momentarily Charlie Dwyer right on top of the
situation third man of the Ring
when they're looking to edit in dramatic fashion
that is nonito Donaire scores a TKO last round that started the problem
perfect straight right hand through the card and then don't err knew that if he
could just throw enough punches he might get this fight stopped and he blasted
away charlie Dwyer did a very good job of letting this fight go to the point
where he gave Maldonado a chance at least but then was able to step in just
at the moment where this fighter was in trouble
good job by referee and for Maldonado and what else the left took was the
punctuating punch and why not it's been such an important was there the course
of this fight for donut actually half left hook half uppercut but no need to
go on air you set it before the fight
so his fans celebrate the dream

Thinkware X350: Slightly overpriced dashcam - MEGAPIXEL - Duration: 2:20.
The Thinkware X350 is a new mid-range dashcam from Thinkware.
Of the two main design styles Thinkware tends to use, the X350 is the more traditional one
with a built-in LCD like the X550 rather than the screenless version like the F800 Pro.
So it looks a bit like a compact camera.
It also only offers Full HD recording rather than the higher resolutions now on offer from
some manufacturers.
With a price well beyond the sub-£100 level some dashcams can now be purchased for, is
the Thinkware X350 worth the extra money?
The Thinkware X350 only offers Full HD video resolution, but it does at least capture this
with a premium 2.12Mpixel Sony Exmor CMOS, which has a good reputation for image quality
and low light performance.
Thinkware appears to be focusing more on component quality rather than raw resolution with this
model.
The Full HD video is recorded at 30 frames and 11Mbits per second, including audio, which
is a slightly aggressive compression ratio for Full HD.
There aren't any other resolution, quality, or frame rate options.
At this one setting, video can be recorded for around 97 minutes on an 8GB MicroSD card
before looping occurs.
The Thinkware X350 has a solid physical design, but the image quality doesn't quite achieve
the same level.
As a result, the £130 price is a little high when you can get similar quality for under
£100, and for the same money a higher resolution is available, for example with the Garmin
Dash Cam 55.
In other words, there are better value and quality options elsewhere.
The Thinkware X350 is let down by mediocre image quality considering its mid-range price.

Dining Car Steak - Duration: 1:36.

Veggies That Aren't Nearly As Healthy As You'd Think - Duration: 3:29.
Vegetables are always a healthy choice, right?
Not exactly!
Not all vegetables are the superfoods they're made out to be especially if you have specific
medical conditions.
Before your next trip to the farmer's market, here are some vegetables that might not be
as healthy as you think.
Nightshades
The so-called "nightshade" family of veggies can increase inflammation within the body,
leading to issues for some people.
This means innocent-looking veggies such as tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers could cause
problems for those dealing with inflammation-related issues.
Renee Tavoularis, health coach and co-founder of Well Within, told us in an interview,
"Studies have shown that there is an association with [nightshades and] arthritic and joint
pain problems."
She recommends that people with chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases avoid nightshades
altogether.
For the rest of us, the nightshade family could still present other issues.
Nutritional counselor Dr. Elizabeth Trattner advises shoppers to avoid non-organic tomatoes,
for example, which could be loaded with pesticides.
And Dr. Konda Reddy of Physicians Weight Loss Orlando says eggplant is often more calorie-dense
than you would imagine.
"Often chosen as a meat substitute, eggplant shares an unfortunate characteristic of the
very thing it is trying to replace.
Due to its spongy texture, eggplant will absorb the oils, fats, calories and sodium of whatever
it is prepared alongside."
Green peas
They're sweet, juicy, and green, so peas must be healthy, right?
Not for everyone.
According to Dr. Luiza Petre, a board-certified cardiologist and weight management specialist,
if you suffer from gout, it's best to steer clear.
"Peas are full of purines, which the body breaks down into uric acid.
Adding peas to your diet can exacerbate gout and impaired kidney function."
Radishes
In the hierarchy of healthy vegetables, radishes, while quite tasty, don't reign supreme.
Apart from being a good source of vitamin C, radishes aren't incredibly nutrient-dense
compared to other veggies.
And radishes belong to a small group of vegetables more likely to cause gas and bloating, according
to the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders.
Iceberg lettuce
If you've been relying on iceberg lettuce as a base to your favorite salad, it may be
time to switch things up.
While certainly not "unhealthy," iceberg lettuce has less nutritional value than other leafy
greens including butter and romaine lettuce, according to the Academy of Nutrition and
Dietetics.
Still, it's better than not eating any leafy greens at all, so if iceberg is your go-to,
keep on rockin' on.
ICEBERG, RIGHT AHEAD!
Veggie chips
Although veggie chips may seem healthier than your average greasy potato chips, they're
usually not.
Registered dietician Keri Glassman says that vitamins found in vegetables essentially disappear
when they're processed, so they really don't offer much nutritional value at all.
Plus, many veggie chips are high in fat, sodium and calories, just like regular potato chips,
so you might as well have the real thing.
"If I'm gonna have a potato chip, I want a real potato chip."
Better choices
When choosing vegetables to eat, experts say sticking to the non-starchy variety will usually
give you the most bang for your buck.
Registered dietician Dr. Catherine Metzgar explained to us in an interview
"Vegetables like corn are higher in carbohydrates [...] [Starches found in corn] are very digestible
and are quickly converted into sugar in your body, raising your blood sugar."
White potatoes are another starchy pick experts advise against.
Dr. Trattner notes that white potatoes and corn are both high in empty calories and high
on the glycemic index.
To get the most out of what the garden has to offer, experts say to choose vegetables
that are low in carbohydrates and high in fiber, since they impact your blood sugar
the least while still offering up the vitamins and minerals your body needs.

Garden Pond Update: OVER GROWN POND PLANTS! - Duration: 13:19.
what's up fishtank repol Dustin's fish tanks bringing it to you with another
pond update how's everybody doing I hope you're doing well I want to give you
what's been going on in the pond in a two week time period where I was
actually going on vacation took a little RV trip with the in-laws around upstate
New York had an absolutely epic time but a lot happened in the two weeks that I
was gone I think there's a lot of lessons that you all can take away from
this and today's video I'm gonna give you an update on what's going on with
the invasive species that are overtaking my pond we've got some bugs that are
overtaking one of my favorite plants I'm gonna trim that plant up today I'm also
going to show you all the importance of roots and an accident that I came home
to that luckily my boy Josh was able to clean up so here we go
excited about aqua cello but that's another video want to show you around
the garden pond I guess I'll stand up so this is what
chill this is my cup from Amelia stamps calm my girl on Instagram if you're not
following me on Instagram by the way andrew has been slaughtering it we're
featuring people's tanks you can email your tank to editor at Dustin's
fishtanks calm and we are featuring those on Instagram a lot of people have
some beautiful tanks so thank you for everybody showing around that stuff also
follow me on instagram at Dustin's fishtanks on Instagram we're here to
show you more well here's what's up got all this going on with the pond all
right first things first obviously everything is overgrown with the weeds
here I'll show you my actual plants down here the ferns doing well this plant
look at this plant y'all look at this I forget the name of it but like that's my
coffee cup next to this plant I hope you all can get that this plant is
absolutely blowing up totally love it this plant was purchased at McClure's
you can click links around here and check out that 360 video I did at
McClure's I wish that 360 video was done better here's the plan in case you all
are wondering what's up we have already gotten with the city of Jasmine County
we're going to be bringing in water here we're going to be getting with some
electric too soon so the greenhouse 2.0 is coming yeah over here the ficus was
out and actually did pretty well I don't know what this plant is if anybody knows
what that is let me know we'll roll around here obviously when you leave for
vacation things get a little overgrown I've got a honey-do list a mile long
because I got to do all this weeding or whatever but you'll notice as we walk
out here something's a little bit different and I'm gonna show you at the
end of this video about that but let's talk about the pond folks first things
first water highest and I got a video coming
out on Sunday talking about all kinds of evasive species and fish but the water
hyacinth took over this in Andhra I hope you can
get this shot one of my baby koi is out right now he's hiding away I got a white
I got a white black and white baby koi in there that's super sweet so when I
came home I actually removed a ridiculous amount of water hyacinth from
the this is about half of what I had removed
so like this was all just up in there you could barely see any of the plants
so I had to thin this stuff out got some Manan kuris growing in it as
well actually throw that back in there but the pond was basically choked out
now I want to point out a couple of things on here these have been removed
just recently on the water hyacinth the water highest and this can happen in
your aquariums too if you look at your plants the plants tell you the story
these have slightly yellowing underneath and if you can see on here there's a few
of them with a little bit of yellowing underneath these are better examples
what happened was the pond got covered in hyacinth
there was no rain until the last day and I'll talk about that in a minute look at
the dragonfly greeting me what's up dude on camera see that on point on camera on
cue me and him but what I was saying is the water hyacinth ear actually has a
little bit of yellowing going on underneath what that is is a lack of
nutrients well what happened the plants covered the entire surface there was no
water changes there was no rain and it sucked all of the macro micro elements
out of it basically the plants got a little bit hungry okay now when I finned
it out they're a little bit more green but you can see these were a little bit
yellowing on the edges of the hyacinth fast-growing plant will roll over this
way I want to walk around here we're going to come back to this in a second
cuz I'm actually gonna trim this up for you huh look at this you think dusty
needs to mow the lawn two weeks time boom over curled like crazy with the
grass but check this out this is interesting to me this is the hibiscus
and mal and shut up everybody given explaining like with a difference in
these plants this plant stopped flowering I don't know if it's just a
seasonal thing I don't know if it's a nutrient deficiency I don't know what's
happening but these used to be big beautiful flowers you can click links
around here and see how that's going on I also tried to thin out this look we're
not perfect here I tried to thin this and add it over here it slowly died a
little bit but you can see it's kind of coming back just a tiny bit so the
initial stuff this happens in accordian plants happens upon plants its thinned
out it looks a little bad but then inside the center here
you can see this new growth coming and I didn't see this until I got up close so
what I need to do is come out here and hack this Josh has my scissors but new
growth is coming on these because I wanted to kind of like make a field and
kind of hide this right here so coming it's coming back whatever so I'm curious
what's up with this right here I don't know if it's just up there yeah I lost
it I don't know just a water or a lack of nutrients in the water whatever
obviously I've got a lot of weeds around here but let's talk about my favorite
plant the plant that I bring to the aquatic experience every year in Chicago
probably gonna bring it to the aquatic experience this year in New Jersey
definitely gonna bring it with me too I would yeah bro Chicago I can't wait to
see you coming up real soon I think in like three weeks
kids awkward skated because that's coming more on that but look at this
this you all had some great feedback on the Japanese beetles coming through and
just tearing this apart so what I'm gonna do because this plant grows so
quickly and this is advice that you can use on your Amazon swords you can use it
on your jungle Val you can use it on your sedge I'm showing it full throttle
style on the red stem talia and that is this just cut these leaves okay this
leaf is not doing the plant as much good as this leaf because this sleep is beat
up so we're gonna trim this sucker back that's gonna cause the plant to say oh
sweet these leaves are working better and it's gonna grow even more when I do
that note it's about to have the giant spike thing come out the top super
pumped about that get to work mom yeah that's right give birth to me and then
clean up my give birth to me and then clean up my pond sorry she comes down I
don't even I don't even ask her to start cleaning up the ponds you just start
I get a new greenhouse I'll be selling the off runs of this dude it's an
amazing plant lets them Talia I bring it in in the wintertime and I let it sit
and barely lived in the greenhouse and then I come back out in the summertime
it just goes wrong what she got beat up now it appears as though those beetles
are gone they're not as many beetles on here look at that there's no more
beetles on here they like gave up I can't hold this plant down you all know
this I've said it before and I'll say it again dusty when I pass on to the next
life there is a certain plant that needs to be with me in the afterlife and that
plant is jungle bonus area and I'm about to show you why as I get into a pond
with a $200 wireless microphone here it is this is giant jungle val not the
regular val but look at this plant folks this plant is bout it and in ain't
living without it come down here and I'm gonna show you this Josh and I actually
put some of this in an order but this is giant jungle val like oh my love it love
it love it like this plant is awesome there's a reason this plant is in all of
my best selling beginner planting combos it's also actually left this little
container right here and has gone down into the substrate on itself oh by the
way these are the swords that we're selling for a whopping 3 bucks so yeah
you want to get yourself a fully underwater groans sword there you go but
you can see the val is actually coming out the top here I actually saw this
plant and I had to get down into the water and play with it when I was up on
my beloved Lake Erie you can check that clip out as well Lake Erie style here
EPA vilification told Josh peppy little horn
word in there Joe
that's nothing to do with fish tanks but it has to do with plants so I'm breaking
it to you we had a big storm today before I got home this is a water maple
they say you're not supposed to plant these trees and with good reason the
larger your roots the larger your clan unfortunately these
types of plants don't have that big of roots well look at this sucker hardly
any rude massive tree like pulley has fallen down so I want to tie it back
into aquariums for you which you have good news
generally speaking you'll have your plants you don't have good roots this
kind of stuff can happen so check out this massive tree that came down and
it's been sitting here to a good home water maples are meant to be around
watering out on the street this is just hornwort fast-growing oxygenating plant
illegal in a bunch of states superfly though this stuff allegedly grows in
Siberia it's Ivan Drago tuff you can click links around here and check out my
bulletproof species this is one of them it's illegal for a reason because it
grows so freakin fast though but great for breeding fish great for absorbing
nitrates out of the tank fish like getting busy in it click links around it
for the horniest fish video hornwort invasive species for sure it'll blow up
anywhere so this is what's up with the pond do me a favor folks drop me a
comment on any sort of overgrown you've seen with like a hyacinth or a water
lettuce note the difference between the high the water lettuce and the water
hyacinth the water hyacinth is losing to the water lettuce the water hyacinth is
losing to the water lettuce in this little battle I've also got some really
fire a little bit leggy but Stella still hotter coming out pretty legit out of
the pond here it loses the lower growth it then grows like crazy on top so
that's what I'm doing hit the like button subscribe button share button go
follow me on Instagram and email editor at Dustin's fishtanks calm your sick
aquariums but let me know what you think of this
pawn and what invasive stuff you guys let me know if you could win a hack with
chellie Chicago come on my run here to the last video
say tank on everybody say take on my no she's out take on everybody later

You asked: hacks on how to handle the Arizona heat (ASU) - Duration: 2:52.
Hey! It's me, Ben.
And I'm uh...I'm out here accumulating quite the sweat
here in this AZ heat.
We'll hopefully be coming at you with some tips on
how to beat that bad boy.
This is You asked.
Beat the heat.
Well, the only way is to keep in the shade.
Like try to walk in the shade of buildings
or jump from one shady tree to another.
I'm a big, firm believer in the good ol' Hydroflask
especially in Arizona. It keeps your ice in there as long as you need it to.
Oh yeah.
Always park under covered parking when you can.
Always stay hydrated, of course.
And then, also, I always bring, like, a change of clothes
because it gets, like, really hot.
Well, uh, crop tops are good.
Um, I also wear pants which seems like that would be counter-effective but like...
Right, really?
What's the, what's the science there?
The sun won't hit your legs.
Ohhh.
Which actually, like, it works. It works, I promise.
Do you get some tan lines though? On those ankles though?
Yeah a little bit.
So, uh, how do, how do you go about beating the heat?
Oh wait, there's nobody here because it's hot outside.
In October and November it's getting pretty nice up here.
Especially the winter. I mean it's great up here.
So how do you go about...
So what do you do to beat that heat?
Luckily we live in Arizona so there's a ton of pools everywhere you go.
Word.
Specifically the Sun Devil Fitness Complex.
They have an amazing pool.
Yeah. Heated year round, I'll add.
Try to wear a cap, hat or carry an umbrella.
Drink juices often.
Do you have a favorite juice?
Simply Orange by Tropicana.
I agree, actually.
I just love that juice I don't know what it is, what is in it.
Hopefully oranges, but...
I suggest embracing it.
How do you embrace it?
Uh, I like to go out and bike in the middle of the day.
OK.
And appreciate the sunshine.
I just really don't go outside.
What're you doing here?
I don't know.
Just got lost and you ended up outside? Took a wrong turn?
I didn't take my own advice.
Sunscreen is, like, paramount because your skin will burn,
like, you'll feel it.
Don't wear jeans.
What're we doing?
Try to walk behind someone really tall to your classes, like me
We've got the trifecta here.
Exactly.
Try not to grow a beard.
You are just--

These Twins Are Our Ride-Or-Die Inspiration - Duration: 3:12.

- [Katia] Being a twin, you're always identified as a unit.
- [Jasmine] We've experienced every moment in life together.
- [Katia] We learned to drive together,
you go to school together, you're in the same class.
- [Jasmine] We went through the same hardships as teenagers.
- [Katia] We work together, we're
on the phone together a lot.
- [Jasmine] You feel a connection
that you just don't with anybody else.
We've been together since day one.
- [Katia] It's been important for us,
as individuals, to forge our own paths.
Living far apart is tough, but I always know
she has my back 100 percent.
- [Jasmine] I live in Index, Washington
at the base of the Cascade Mountains.
Everyday, I know it sounds cliche, but I just wake up
feeling totally blessed. It's beautiful.
Usually in the morning, I drink my coffee, I walk my dog
and a little bit before 9, I call Katia, or she calls me.
I'm a paralegal, I'm kind of the assistant for the attorney.
All-in-all, it's amazing having my sister as the boss.
We're very close and, obviously, very candid with each other,
but we're a team - working together in a sense,
but different places.
- [Katia] I'm an immigration attorney in New York.
It's obviously a fast-paced life,
but I do really love New Yorkers.
I love the vibrant diversity that the City has.
It's truly unique in the world,
of all the places I've ever been.
Starting my own practice, it's long hours, it's high stress.
So I really appreciate the work that Jasmine does.
- I definitely encourage her everyday.
You know, the bad days I'm like, "Let's get off and take a ride."
- Jas and I have never really been competitive,
but on the bike it's a different story.
We're very competitive on the bike.
- Katia is faster on the bike, hands down.
- I would win in a race.
- I would say Katia's more competitive than me.
- I'm a nice sister.
- I would say I'm better at snowboarding.
I think she would agree with that.
- Me.
- I run marathons, and so running
was always my physical outlet.
But, the bike has really been a game-changer.
For one, you never really know
when you're gonna have that space in your day.
And so, if I have a break, maybe, in meetings,
I can take that opportunity and really seize it.
- I'll see a class that we wanna do and I'll say,
"Hey, are you down to do Alex's 5:30?,
"FYI - 8:30 your time."
I live in a super-small town, about 600 people.
It's pretty cool to hop on the Peloton bike
and, all of a sudden, I'm riding with
thousands of people from around the world.
- [Katia] I will filter the leaderboard to just her and I.
- I'm usually hot out of the get-go.
- Jasmine can be leading almost the entire ride.
Except for the end, I usually have more steam than she does.
Jasmine has never made a better time than me.
- Having this physical outlet is really cool.
It's been another tool for us to stay connected
and to see one another despite the distance.
- [Katia] Jas and I have matching tattoos,
they're identical.
- [Jasmine] It makes me think of her every time I see it.
- [Katia] And I like to keep it
as a reminder of where I'm from.
- [Jasmine] It just reminds us of home.
Which is here and, I guess, just being together.

NASA Destroyed Evidence Of Life On Mars - Duration: 3:35.
Apparently, nasa found evidence of life on mars 40 years ago, and instead of announcing
it to the public they set the evidence on fire.
So what exactly was this evidence, I'll fill you in here on IO.
Welcome back to Inform Overload, I'm charlotte dobre.
Thinking that nasa is covering up aliens is one of the internet's favourite conspiracy
theories.
But As much as I would like this video to be about a nasa cover up, its not, but it
does explain why we are just finding out that there are organic materials on mars.
Here's the deal, Back in the 1970s, nasa landed the Viking 1 and Viking 2 landers.
The Viking 1 and Viking 2 were supposed to scan the surface of mars for signs of organic
material that could prove that it was once habitable.
The problem was, both the Viking landers spent 10 years on the surface of mars and found
nothing.
Which doesn't make sense.
The surface of mars is pelted with carbon rich meteorites all the time.
And recently, curiosity rover did confirm the presence of organic molecules.
So why didn't the Viking landers?
Could it be that nasa hid the information from the public over fears that releasing
the information would cause mass hysteria?
Well actually the reason is a lot dumber than that.
According to a paper published in the journal of geophysical research, the organic molecules
were on mars, but the Viking landers set it on fire.
When the landers were analyzing the soil on mars, they heated up the samples to a maximum
temperature of 932 degrees Fahrenheit, or 500 degrees Celsius.
That is HOT.
The reason for this was they were trying to release volatile organic compounds.
It should have been fine, the heat wasn't supposed to destroy carbon molecules, but
there was something else in the soil that nasa didn't account for.
A hyper-flammable fuel called Perchlorate that set the carbon molecules on fire.
And what's more is, proof for this was found because when the perchlorate burned the carbon,
it left behind a molecule called chlorobenzene.
All scientific terms aside, all of this means we could have known about organic matter on
mars for close to 40 years by now, if the Viking landers hadn't set the soil samples
on fire.
You had one job nasa, ONE JOB.
In other mars news, Researchers at the national institute of astrophysics in rome say they
may have found a huge underwater lake underneath the south pole of mars.
Using a radar instrument, the team found that there was a 20 kilometer or 12 mile lake,
1.5 kilometres or 0.9 miles below the surface.
This is huge.
Potentially, there is Liquid water on the surface of mars, that could end up being a
habitat for life.
There are sub-glacial lakes on the surface of earth where life does exist.
Maybe just microorganisms, but still, life.
More research needs to be done.
Mars is significantly colder than earth, it gets to be around -68 degrees Celsius or 90
degrees Fahrenheit.
In order for this water to be liquid, it would have to have a lot of salt in it.
But still, exciting news anyway guys.
I wonder if I can get nasa to bring me back a microalien so I can keep it in a tank by
my bed.
You know like sea monkeys?
Who remembers sea monkeys?
I would be SO down for some mars sea monkeys.

HORRIBLY Painting Your Pets Mid-Breakdown - Duration: 16:37.
um hey, don't know how I'm gonna figure this out yet. I just filmed a very ranty
video so I thought today was as good a time as any to do one of the painting
videos so one I've got some - that was very aggressive I'm tryna calm down so
I've got some pets to paint I counted eight but if I've missed any it's not
because I hate you it's because I'm disorganized and I hate myself. And I
wish that I could put all of my time and effort into every single one but I'm not
an artist and nobody is paying me for this so they're not gonna be very good!
here are my rules: I'm not allowed to try and erase anything so usually if I make
a mistake with painting I'll try and blot it away and paint over it, I'm not
allowed to do that and 2 is I only have five minutes for
each one so the first one is from angstykinskywalker and I absolutely love it
I'm not even as cool as this dog. Let's go with five minutes. Ha!
Um where do I even start, I'm gonna try to draw him out first. I'm also not gonna
cheat... which is gonna make it even worse.
All right you're wasting time Katie shut up.
There's his nose, oh what a good dog,
got a good old snout. Oh this is looking great I'm just out here trying to do my best
trying to paint some dogs trying to make some *squirt* people happy. If you would like an
actually good picture there are plenty of artists online especially on tumblr
who will take commissions for it! Similarly if you are an artist do
not be afraid to charge people especially when you're young like um I
see a lot of artists on tumblr I think there's a big artists community there
and they don't always like to charge people. Like I've had people draw me
before and I do offer to pay for it because sometimes I use them and like I
used to use them in end screens and things and people will refuse to take
money which I appreciate because I'm broke too but don't be afraid to charge
people for your time and effort. If a stranger on the internet says let
me paint your dogs this is what you should be expecting. How am i doing for
time? 1 minute 25 oh my god I haven't even done the yellow sunglasses yet. Oh
my god I'm scribbling like a felt-tip pen. Time? Time?
20 seconds oh oh my goodness. *beeping starts* Looks amazing!
Am I right? Shut up *beeping stops*. Um you know I think there's a certain artistic impression
yeah you know this is the standard that you're gonna have to expect from this
video, okay. I'll leave this one out to dry. Next! boosboo sent me: this is my
kitty she's named Pitoune I don't know if that's how that's pronounced I'm so
sorry, Pitoune, and she likes to scream. Well me and your cat have things in
common. Five minutes here we go! She's got some green eyes, why not start with the- Oh
God oh dear
you know one of the things I miss most about my house in Brighton is my cats
that we stole from the neighbors they know how to knock down the cat flap I've
gone into this before. You know what - what is this? Wow okay I'll do her little pink
nose yes you know what that kind of does look like a cat right she's getting
there we're getting there we're gonna look
great by the end of it! Art is... what-
you- it-
beauty is in the eye of the beholder
so you might look at this and think that's not a good picture of a cat but
really... it is. It's just that you can't see it, you just don't understand
high-quality art. You just wouldn't get it! I will be personally shocked if
anyone even makes it this far through the video all I'm doing is painting
badly and chatting shit and here I thought that I
would calm down after my stressy video. You know I think it's kind of like
abstract it kind of looks like an angry Hedgehog. You know I really wish I could
just sit here and talk about all the standard drama in my life. I did actually
the angry video I filmed today.
*beeping* Oh times up! um well I'm sorry it's all I can say I
think if you know it to cat it looks like one.
Next! Okay I'm so scared that
I'm saying URLs wrong but we gon' carry on anyway. Next one is from
Proudmore, is that how...? I'm sorry I don't know how I'm supposed to be pronouncing
things and everything I say sounds horrible anyway cuz I've got this weird
northern but not even fun northern accent alright, anyway
sent me her dog called Foxxy, all dressed up because she loves it when we call
her pretty and she puts on a show for us. Again, very relatable and I'm gonna
actually try really hard! Genuinely try to do this well because we have been
mutuals for four years and so, I see you! Here we go I'm gonna try. Ooh maybe I'll do
it this way, yeah okay here's her ear and a head another ear. Oh, that's gone a
bit wrong okay can't erase it! Here's an eye and another eye, I don't think this
one's going well for me you know. Oh she's got such a cute little smile this is a
really cute photo, they've all been cute but like this is a
dog who's camera-ready you know. Oh no I'm sorry I don't know what that is I
feel like I should just give up now I'm just gonna try and do some nice fur
and hope that it ends up looking okay oh my goodness I'm so sorry I made your dog
look like some kind of hollow-eyed pom bear... I'm sorry man it is a really nice
picture it's just I've got, not-
no-
I don't actually have artistic skills. I know
I did that last video but that took me like an hour. *singing* Ruining your pet since 1998
I don't know how people didn't realize how old I was because it was in my bio
for ages but when I turned 20 everyone was like, what!! Loads of people thought I
was older and then someone was very rude and said, ugh they're stupid you look 17 tops
and I was like, that's rude, um, not because you're calling me young
looking, only 20 years old, but hello don't call my followers stupid please
lots of them were being nice and saying I seem older because I'm so mature. I
don't know what's happened it seems like they're just getting worse and worse as
they go on! I'm never doing this again I'm gonna do the pictures I already have
and then no more oh you know what it kind of looks like a sweet little bear
if, um, if Bears looked like that.
Some of the more artistic among you may be
thinking, Katie if you stop talking and focus you might be doing better and then
I might be too good at art and then... oh no... Would I want to be an artist if I was
good enough? Probably not, not creative enough. I say *beeping* Oh! I say making a youtube
video. It kinda got better when I put in the face. It definitely looks like
something and I will let you know when I figure it out but that's something is
not the picture you sent me. But thank you anyway,
I appreciate it! This next one is gonna be a hard one to draw but we gon' do it
anyway, it's from smolhoneybee, he's a Bernese Mountain Dog and his name is
Jameson. Five minutes starts now! Snout, mouth a tooth and another tooth and
a tongue, he's got a big old tongue, this one. Doesn't even fit on the page! I've
never had a cat or a dog and I just have this gaping hole in my life where I've
had no animals. I had a little rabbit he was very cute but um it's not the same
he was actually quite mean but we love him anyway.
All right all right! I'm just saying if this dog was a person
he'd have a great jawline. Ooh, ooh I have a pink, ooh! Oh yes, yes it looks so good! This was before I
got my hands on it, a very handsome dog and now... he's seen
he's seen better days not to worry still got some white to put
in... yeah that's good not pink at all. *beeping starts* Times up! Again very
abstract - shut up! *beeping stops* very abstract, once again thanks for
sending it in and I can only apologize for what is an absolutely abominable
painting of your dog. *beep* We are back! We're recharged and we've had an outfit change
becaaaause... I'm not gonna lie to you because I didn't want to wear a bra anymore and
I wasn't ready for a YouTube to see my nipples yet. So yeah this turned out as
brilliant as the rest of them did, le- let's continue!
yellowpotatolemon said
this is my friend's best girl Rue who I'm Pet Sitting, if you'd like, paint away
and I will. So, let's go, five minutes. We're getting back into the swing of
things I don't even know where to star- you know I want to be creative with this one
it's called, artistic expression
you can't even see
what I'm doing can you?
Oh yeah!
This looks like one of those McDonald's Happy
Meal toys except they don't know whether to market it for boys or girls so they
just go for both. I should have put more effort into this I'm gonna be real and
I'm I'm sorry that I didn't put more effort into your friends cat and I
wanted it pink and blue so that's what I've done! She deserves everything these
animals deserve the best pictures, I'm just not the person to paint them.
Oh no. Well. Why don't I give you a little nose
as well. Aw! Now it looks like an owl! What! One day I'll be sent to a land
where all of these animals exist and I'm forced to atone for my sins.
She's got some whiskers,
*beeping*
Well, she's got half a face of whiskers. You know I'm
starting to think my career as an artist is really taking off. Free her from this
nightmare realm. Who's next?! withinmywonderland sent me: my pet,
their pet obviously, and she is screamin and aren't we all
Five minutes let's go. Can we all just assume that I'm sorry for everything in
this video. It's probably yawning I'm so sorry that I'm assuming your cat is just
yelling at you. There's mostly white arou- oh. See if I was anywhere near monetised I'd
be like do you think I'm gonna get demonetised for saying the word nipples
on YouTube but let's be real since like February March this year it's been you
have to have 4000 watch hours and 1000 subscribers to be monetized at all so
it's not really a concern right now. That said if you know 800 people who want to
subscribe, if you know 800 people who want to see this... let me know! Ooh she's
got nice blue eyes I'm gonna do 'em in watercolor. Is that a mistake?
Aw,
pink tongue,
ah! That wasn't what I anticipated but you
know what it's not horrible- it is horrible I'm lying to myself this feels
like it's going well this doesn't - this feels like longer than five minutes
already what if I haven't set the alarm... I have I have 56 seconds. I think there's
only one picture I've actually fit the whole picture that I received into my
painting and it was the first one. You know when I was really little I wanted
to be an artist... and this is how that worked out. You're watching crushed
dreams live right now. Two seconds! *beeping*
Truly nothing screams
crushed dreams like this one. Alright. Final one I guess because hoe can't
count. guac-a-flocka-flame sent me five pictures of their husky whose name is
Thor. I'm gonna pick this one in the dark because it looks easier to draw and I
want to do the bright red eyes. Five seco- five seconds? Oh my god five minutes
starts now! I'm just gonna use so much black paint.
Let's be positive this is going really well this is exactly what a painting of
a dog should look like ideally. This is peak art...ist...ry.
So far I've painted
everything but the dog. Here we go here's where it gets real. Why do dogs have
black mouths? Um, UM,
Give him some pinky-red ear- YES, oh he looks... great.
oh I've got acrylic white I keep forgetting what I've got like all the
boys who've stopped talking to me. Oh and it's come out pink, okay, um.
Well, it's nice it's like a candyfloss color it's just like your dog
went to a field full of candy floss where where candy floss grows in fields *beeping*
That beep brings me such a feeling of relief. Well, if you thought the last one
was bad and borderline demonic you will love this one! I just don't know what to
say for myself anymore it's bad... that's all I can say about it. No! Posit- what
happened to positivity it's not bad it's just abstract and it's my interpretation
and you can't say that art is wrong!
That's... that's that done if you watched
all this I have just one question for you. Why? Let me put them all together and
show you what the squad looks like!
*classical music I'm not cultured enough to know the name of off the top of my head. Fancy vibes*
So, um, thanks for watching I appreciate that you stay with me through all of this
please go ahead and comment your favorite I would love to know! I think my
favorite personally is Thor because I just think he looks so dashing! Jokes
aside though I did have fun painting these as terrible as they are I do think
it's interesting how some of them can come out so...
abstract.
Thank you for
sending your pictures in and... they were all very lovely animals I just...
Anyway
thanks for watching please subscribe cuz I love you okay see you next time bye!
*upbeat music*

Control Plane vs Data Plane | The Ancient Soldier - Duration: 4:58.
you weren't working networking long before you hear someone talking about
the control plane and the data plane at first this can be quite confusing
what are they what are they used for what's the difference between them we're
here to demystify the control and data planes in times past communication was
very manual think of an ancient general organizing his troops he may post a
soldier as a messenger this soldier needs to listen closely for any messages
or watch read signals and be prepared to pass them on he's not overly concerned
with the message itself he just needs to pass it on quickly and accurately but
there are also times when the messages are meant directly for him
another soldier may be talking to him maybe he's getting new orders or maybe
he's finding out about a shift change in this case our soldier cares about
this message he needs to listen to what's being said think about it and
then respond our networking devices are like this soldier a major part of what
they do is receive traffic and pass it on quickly and accurately this is the
data plane also known as the forwarding plane this includes the FIB at layer 3
and switching at layer 2 routers and switches will also make good use of
technologies like saif t cam tables and specialized Asics if they're available
but these devices also need to be able to respond to traffic that's sent to
them and generate messages themselves they need to participate in the
conversation this kind of traffic could include management routing protocols
ping monitoring and so on this is control plane traffic the control plane
is special as it's involved in controlling how data is forwarded
through the network think of routing protocols for example the control plane
can definitely affect the data plane this includes altering and filtering
data like load balancing firewall rules and so on you can roughly think of the
control plane as the brain of the network but why do we bother making a
distinction between the two one reason is technologies can be developed
independently you can take a router that
you bought a few years ago and installed new
software on it giving you new features the control plane features are not
locked into the hardware of the data plane as they can major advantage is
seen in Software Defined Networking if the data plane and control plane is
separate we can remove the control plane from the device and now we have a
separate device such as an SDN controller which manages how the network
behaves our switches and routers can now simply focus on forwarding only think of
our soldier again for a moment imagine if he gets too busy chatting to another
soldier he could get easily distracted or overwhelmed this may make it
difficult to do his real job he might even miss something important
the same can happen in the network the control plane utilizes the CPU regularly
so if the CPU gets fully utilized the control plane suffers if it gets too
busy to handle any new packets it may struggle with something critical like
OSPF or EIGRP this in turn can cause a problem for the data plane so as you can
see the control plane is a potential attack surface if an attacker can
overwhelm the control plane perhaps with a ping flood or some other DDoS attack
they could compromise the whole device this is why we can use control plane
protection this is where we limit the amount of certain types of control plane
traffic that a device will accept some devices will have basic protection
built-in some more advanced platforms will let you configure the protection
yourself mostly through quads policies there's just one last thing I'd like to
cover and that's what is sometimes known as the management plane the management
plane is management traffic that's going to a device like ssh telnet web console
SNMP and others strictly speaking this is still control plane traffic but you
can treat it differently to other types of control plane traffic like routing
updates NetFlow ping and so on this raises an interesting question is all
management traffic control plane traffic well it depends on the perspective if
management traffic is going to a device then as far as this device is concerned
this is control plane traffic if management traffic is going through a
device perhaps to manage another device somewhere else then from the devices
perspective this is data plane traffic so the simplified version of all this is
that when forwarding traffic were using the data plane when generating or
responding to traffic we're using the control plane hope all this makes sense
and thank you for watching

No Small Creator - Duration: 4:23.
Oh hi!
KYLE: So Matt has been working out of Media Lab for the last couple of days.
Say "hi" Matt.
MATT: Hi.
KYLE: No, I said say hi Matt and you were supposed to say hi Matt.
It would have been hilarious.
You ruined it.
Go ruin something else.
Anyway.
MATT: Want to buy me McDonald's?
KYLE: What do you mean buy you McDonald's?
MATT: Alright!
Matt introduced me to No Small Creators.
I'll put a card that links to the video up in the top right corner.
It should be there now.
Hopefully.
If it's not that's really awk–
Let me try to distill the message down into it's essence.
Into it's purest form.
The Michelle Pfeiffer of content, if you will.
It's the idea that we are more than the number that appears underneath our videos.
I'm not trying to pretend that I'm bigger that what I am.
In the grand scheme of things I'm a micro channel.
But can we not still provide value?
That's … that's an actual question.
Please validate me.
There's a comments section for a reason.
For many, who wish that YouTube could become a full time job, there is this ideal that
they hold onto.
They have a million+ subscribers.
They can survive off of the generosity of their audience.
They can pursue opportunities because of their audience.
They're allowed to murder one person each year.
Tom Hanks overdoes that allowance each year, but … how can you stay mad at that face?
Value is so hard to quantify.
I mean there's monetary value, which has all sorts of problems, but you can sell something
for $20 and people will either decide to buy it or not.
But there is also emotional, spiritual, and intellectual value.
And that can vary wildly amongst different people.
I mean, I vividly remember going to watch the movie Boyhood.
And because I'm pretentious I loved it.
Anyway, I had this deep, emotional response to the this near 3 hour long film.
The credits come up, I'm wiping away tears, and the guy behind me stands up and loudly
proclaims "Well that was a waste of time!"
We were two people who watched the same thing but experienced something completely different.
And this is not an indictment on the guy behind, who was very clearly and obviously wrong.
But it's to show that value can't possibly be summed up by popularity.
I won't go through my entire sob story of how for many years I struggled with finding
value in anything.
I felt lost, and hopeless.
There were small flourishes here and there, I don't want to make it sound like friends
and family weren't around to spread joy and precious memories.
But there were long stretches of seeming despair.
And in those moments I found just a bit of respite from the creations of other people.
The musicals of Stephen Sondheim, the books of J.K.
Rowling, and the fake fighting of professional wrestling.
At some point we should go through each of those in particular, but I want to move on
to my own creative life.
I turned a corner from a consumer to a creator in the late 2010s.
There has to be a better name for that decade.
20 teens?
I'm not going to jail for this.
OK, I can't think of anything.
But I really became a creator of things in the 2010s.
And I knew it would take a while to create what I thought was needed.
Followers.
Because I looked at other people making videos, and what they were able to do, and all I could
focus on was that number under their videos.
That number was always large.
The cool people that I watched had these amazing numbers.
And here I was in the single digit territory.
Also the subtitle to the book I'm writing on my dating life.
Single Digit Territory.
All I wanted was those followers.
Because followers meant that I was valuable.
Without that big number I was worthless.
Mental health is a bitch.
It's really only been in the last couple years that I realized that my approach has
always been wrong.
Followers are not what I should care about.
Subscribers are not the be all and end all.
But community is.
This is not just one of those marketing things where they substitute one name for another
and try to sell you on some grow fast scheme.
And usually is packaged in a very useful pyramid shape.
The number being big is fun.
It gives you a lot of opportunities.
But people who find a lot of value in you, and can't wait to watch each week is a much
better situation to be in.
Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, one of my all time favourite TV shows
once said that "I'd rather make a show 100 people need to see, than a show that 1000
people want to see."
Because those 100 people will stick with you, engage with you, and be able to support you.
It might not be millions of people, but it means I've created something incredibly
valuable.
Plus I can go and get my Starbucks in the morning without showering and nobody gives
a rip.
There truly isn't such a thing as a small creator.
Not when you're making something of value.
I strive to do that each week.
Let me know how I'm doing below.
Have a great day, I'll talk with you next Thursday!

400,000 People In America Working As Slave Laborers For Corporations - Duration: 3:34.
Workers in the United States, in spite of all of the talking points coming from politicians,
still have things pretty rough in this country.
And according to the 2018 Global Slavery Index, things are actually a lot worse than most
people are willing to admit under the corporate rule here in the United States.
According to this recently released 2018 Global Slavery Index, more than 402,000 people in
the United States alone are modern day slaves.
Now, this is not necessarily people involved in the sex slave trade, where they got, you
know, kidnapped and put into that.
These are people who actually go and they work for corporations.
They work in factories.
They make our clothing.
They pick our crops.
And according to this index, due to the conditions under which they work and the slave-like conditions
there, the poverty wages, sometimes even below federally mandated or state mandated minimum
wage laws, these people are essentially slaves.
It is indentured servitude towards corporations here in the United States and it's happening
in 2018.
40 million people across the planet are working under the same conditions that those 400,000
here in the United States are working under.
And according to the report, there are several reasons why this problem is actually getting
worse instead of better.
The first happens to be our consumerist culture.
We always have to go buy things.
We have to have the biggest, the baddest, the best, the newest, the shiniest.
Because of that, demand for products across the board, even products we can't even afford,
goes up.
And that's where these indentured servants come from.
Most of them are not actually US citizens.
Some are brought over here from other countries under the promise of "Hey, we're going to
give you a scholarship to college," or, "We're going to give a modeling contract."
We're going to give you some kind of opportunity here, and once they get over here, they realize
that they're trapped.
These employers, whoever is doing this, the modeling agencies, the schools that bring
them over, take their green cards, threaten them with deportation if they do not ... not
their green cards, their passports.
But they threaten them with deportation if they do not play by the rules that these corporations
or other organizations want them to play by.
We have seen this in the fashion industry in the US.
The farming industry.
Private schools are doing this.
Modeling agencies in New York.
This is across the board and it is not unique to any one particular sector in the United
States.
But more than 400,000 people in this country today working as modern day slaves so that
they can continue to make the crap that we just have to run out there and buy every single
day.
The response to this is that we have to become more conscientious consumers.
We have to understand what we're buying, where we're buying it from, and where it came from.
We have to be smarter and more responsible with our money so that we as a public, as
a country, stop contributing to this massive problem here in the US and all across the
globe.
We owe it to these people who have become modern day slaves to our consumerist lifestyles.

Slap Shot Thoracic / Cervical Spine Stick Mobility Exercise - #10 Fundamentals - Duration: 5:25.
We're going to demonstrate what we call the Slap Shot maneuver. It's meant to really open up T-Spine mobility
We're also going to address lateral hip mobility with this move
so Chris is here to help us demonstrate that
when we set up, when we go into a wide position a great move that we like to teach our clients or students is to
Internally and externally rotate their femurs into that wide stance
so what Chris is going to do is he's going to pivot on heel and
To get that external rotation and then pivot on the balls of the feet to get that internal rotation
And he's going to continue to do that to gets into his wide stance
Chris is a has a lot of neuromuscular control and his end ranges of motion
So he's a really flexible guy with a lot of mobility
So his wide stance is typically a lot greater than most people's so this is something you want to work up to
So I'm gonna happen take the stick and place it across the small of his back with his palms facing forward
Okay, he's going to extend the arms. Once he gets the arms extended. He's going to lightly grip the stick from here
The stick is going to help to maintain extension
He's generally gonna pull apart on the stick to activate the posterior chain, and then he's going to go into his hinge motion
So he's going to push the hip straight backwards. It's going to change the angle of the femur in relation to the tibia
So you are not straighten than straightening the knees you are creating an angle at the knees. Okay from here
He's going to bring his right hand down without shifting his hips
once he brings the stick across to a position he's comfortable with he places it on the floor and then he pushes the stick into
the ground lightly
He's going to retract the top scapula back to increase that stretch in the anterior aspect of the chest and shoulders from here
I'm just going to have him gently pull apart on the stick
He's trying to lengthen the stick which is going to open up the ribs and increase thoracic mobility
Now I'm gonna have him turn his head up to the ceiling. So then we can work on some c-spine rotation
You'll breathe diaphragmatic Lee he'll hang out there for a little bit and then he'll bring his head back to Center
Lift the stick up and come back to Center and then he's going to switch to the left hand
So you're gonna bring the left hand across
Place it on the floor where he's comfortable
Gently push the stick into the floor retract right scapula back towards his midline his spine then he'll gently pull apart on the stick
He'll feel that start to increase his thoracic rotation now
I'll have him turn his head up to the ceiling to the right and work on a c-spine rotation
Good
Well hang out there for a few seconds now. Let me turn your head back to Center
Ease off the stick come back to Center and now we're gonna move again with the right pan down this time
You should be able to have a greater range of motion as he comes across
Now we're going to introduce
Shifting weight to increase the lateral mobility of the hips, so same instructions
So he's going to push the stick into the floor retract scapula gently pull apart on the stick. Now, I'm going to have him push
Through the left foot as he shifts all his way to his right hip
Make sure that you are pushing down with the whole entire foot as you can see. We are really increasing
the mobility of the lateral line
Now as it comes now, he's going to shift back
He's gonna push through his right foot and he's gonna shift all his weight to the left hip
Good
Now I'm gonna have him shift back to the right hip so he's gonna drive through that left foot
He's actively pushing the floor into the grip foot into the floor
He's gonna feel that adductor line really open up now from this position
I can have him work c-spine rotation again by having him look up to the ceiling
Good
Now turn the head back to Center shift your weight back to the left hip
He's pushing that right foot actively into the floor and now I can try to turn the head a little bit more
It's a little more challenging on this side
Yeah, now he's gonna return the head back to Center shift his weight back to Center
Release the hand position on the right and now he's gonna return favor and change side
So he's gonna bring the left stick in front and left under the stick
He's gonna push it gently into the floor reach our
Scapula gently pull apart on the stick and now he's gonna shift weight to the left hip he's going to push through that right foot
So once again make sure that foot is not collapsing in
We want to see that little that lateral pinky toe side driving down now
He's going to shift weight to the right hip so he's gonna drive through that left side
Now he's gonna come back to the left hip
Excellent, we're gonna introduce c-spine rotation. So he's gonna look up over his right shoulder
And turn the head back down now shift back to your right hip one more time
and
Now he's gonna look try to look over his left shoulder
Excellent now he's gonna come back to Center
He's the lift to stick up return back to retrace your steps don't just jump out of it
He's gonna ease out. He's going to push through the glutes
Come into extension through the hips and then he's going to do the internal external rotation coming out of that wide stance
Fantastic
