Youtube daily report w Apr 16 2017

Hey everyone.

So I've looked into the new release of Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PS4 and can confirm that

this release is still censored outside of Japan.

The Japanese release however is still uncensored, so, if you can understand Japanese, or just

wish to pick it up anyway, you don't have to worry about Square Enix making changes

there as well.

The release I'm talking about is the new collection of both 1.5 Remix and 2.5 Remix, all on one

disc for PS4.

That means this package offers four full games, as well as 2 of the other games in the form

of movies.

Also, if you were to pick this up alongside Kingdom Hearts 2.8, also for PS4, that would

mean you'd have the entire Kingdom Hearts series at your hands, on only 2 discs.

So, this collection was really supposed to be a definitive package of the games.

And, it's not just the convenience of having them on one disc, but all of the games' graphics

are the best they have looked, are in 60 FPS, have much faster loading times and various

other improvements.

However, the censorship is still there in English versions.

I made an in-depth video about the censorship that Kingdom Hearts 2 faced overseas a while

back and will link it in the description, if you want to go check it out, but to give

a quick summary of the changes.

Unlike the other games in the series, Kingdom Hearts 2 had many changes made to it for the

English versions, toning down the violent nature of certain scenes, and we have never

had an official explanation for these changes from Square Enix.

For example, in the Japanese version, when you slice of the Hydra's heads it has green

blood like it does in the Disney movie, outside of Japan though, it was changed to some kind

of black smoke.

Then there were changes to things like this scene, which shows Will Turner point their

gun to their head and threaten to commit suicide.

In the English version, they don't point the gun at themself at all.

There were quite a lot of other changes, so make sure to check out the in-depth video

if you're interested in seeing the rest.

However, it's worth pointing that I haven't been made aware of any new censorship either.

You may recall how the PS3 version of Kingdom Hearts 2 made a change to Kaira's character

model, so that it was no longer possible to see her panties.

In fact, that entire region of her model was deleted and this affected both the English

and Japanese versions.

But, as mentioned, there have been no other new censorship changes like this found for

the PS4 version.

So anyway, on paper, this PS4 collection really seems to be the ultimate experience, but the

censorship is still not removed and we've still not had an explanation for why the changes

were made.

Whilst it may have been unlikely for Square Enix to go back and uncensor it, I thought

that it was something still worth looking it.

Censored Gaming doesn't like to just report on a game once and then forget about it after

all, but tries to keep a definitive record of games, both old and new.

Until next time anyway folks, thank you for watching.

And please make sure to check out the other Kingdom Hearts 2 video if you haven't already!

5 Mysteries Science Can't Explain - Duration: 14:53.

5 Mysteries Science Can't Explain

Science is dedicated to solving riddles, answering questions and generally demystifying the vast

universe.

So far, we managed to explain and understand a lot of things.

We've peered into the furthest reaches of the universe and delved into the exciting

world of atoms.

We managed to understand the basic building blocks of life while building a civilization

capable of learning about uninhabited planets.

The last few centuries have been especially good for science.

In the 17th century, Isaac Newton solved the ancient controversy over the nature of forces

and motion with his three laws.

In the 18th, Ben Franklin figured out a lot about electricity.

In the 19th, Darwin explained the diversity of species, Maxwell revealed the physics of

light, and Mendeleyev defined the families of chemical elements.

Finally, in the 20th century, we had Einstein, who figured out all sorts of stuff, including

gravity.

Still, there is a long way ahead of us and a lot of mysteries left for the 21st century

to solve.

Hi!

I am Mister Mysterious, and in this video, we will be taking a look at some of the still-unsolved

scientific mysteries that are forcing us to settle with mere speculations as this moment.

The Taos Hum

The town of Taos, located in the north-central New Mexico, is a small laid-back artsy community.

However, there is a very strange phenomenon happening here that is connecting this place

with a handful of places around the world.

The so-called Taos Hum is a low-pitched noise that has been keeping scientists busy for

more than 20 years now.

The hum seems to have first been reported in the early 1990s when Joe Mullins, a professor

emeritus of engineering at the University of New Mexico, conducted research into the

Taos Hum.

Based on a survey of residents, about two percent of the general population was believed

to be "hearers", those who claimed to detect the hum.

In addition, the sound was most noticeable to hearers between 8 PM and 9 AM, and most

people plagued by this phenomenon heard the noise at least once a week.

Sensitive equipment was set up in the homes of several of the "hearers", measuring

sounds and vibrations.

After extensive testing, nothing unusual was detected.

However, the research revealed that there was not a single identifiable Taos Hum, but

instead several different ones that people reported; some describe it as a whir, hum,

or buzz.

This prompted scientists to believe that the Taos Hum might be a result of subjective experiences

instead of objective sounds.

Interestingly, Taos is not the only place plagued by unknown noises.

There are dozens of other cities in which some residents claim to hear something strange.

Still, most of those cases get solved at one point.

However, this is the first time that science wasn't even able to prove that the strange

sounds are real.

Several studies of this phenomenon concluded that the answer to the Taos Hum mystery may

be found in the inner world of personal experience.

Even though we don't notice it, our ears sometimes create their own noises.

We don't get to hear them until it's very quiet.

This phenomenon, called spontaneous otoacoustic emissions, is different than auditory disorders

such as tinnitus, which causes a ringing in the ears.

The Taos Hum was first reported more than 20 years ago, and it seems like this is going

to remain a mystery for a lot longer.

The Mummies

In 1992, a group of German scientists were investigating Egyptian mummies and discovered

remnants of hashish, tobacco, and cocaine in their hair, skin, and bones.

The discovery of hashish wasn't as surprising since it could be easily concluded that Egyptians

were in contact with nations living in Asia, which is where hashish came from.

Tobacco and cocaine were strictly New World plants at the time of the mummification.

This led to speculations that Ancient Egyptians may have traveled to the New World, which

is a completely new theory that goes against everything we know about this ancient civilization.

The tests were first thought to be contaminated.

Later, it was believed that the mummies were fakes from where the king of Bavaria originally

bought them.

But after authentication and similar results with other specimens, it was determined that

the unexplainable had to be the truth.

In 2011, a series of discoveries on a stretch of the Red Sea coast once again proved the

Egyptian's seafaring abilities.

Archaeologists found traces of an ancient harbor that once launched early voyages onto

the open ocean.

Inside a series of man-made caves, they found timber, rigging, limestone anchors, steering

oars, reed mats, and cedar planks.

Today, this is the strongest verified proof of the Egyptians' nautical roots.

Further evidence of an Egyptian journey to the Americas comes from an intriguing discovery

in the Marble Region of the Grand Canyon.

According to the Arizona Gazette, on April 5th, 1909, the Smithsonian-funded explorers

found a variety of Egyptian-like artifacts including stone tablets with hieroglyphs.

Still, the Smithsonian Institute has no current records of the finding.

Perhaps it would be too inconvenient to rewrite the history books and alter long-held traditions

such as the Columbus Day celebrations.

Silence Zone, Mexico

There is an area in northern Mexico where radio signals don't work, and compasses

spin out of control when placed near stones on the ground.

It is located four kilometers from San Ignacio, and it is known as the "Trino Vertex".

However, this area is also known as the Silent Zone or Zona del Silencio.

Frequently compared to the Bermuda Triangle (both are located between parallels 26 and

28 and have similar legends), the legends say that radio waves cannot be transmitted

through this area due to local magnetic fields.

Perhaps the best-known incident connected to the Silent Zone happened in 1970 when a

rocket used by the US Air Force lost control and invaded Mexican airspace.

Since the rocket was carrying two small containers of Cobalt 57, which is a radioactive element,

a team of covert specialists was employed to find the missing rocket.

The aerial search extended over three weeks, but the rocket was finally returned to the

U.S.

What is interesting is that throughout the 20th century, large meteorites landed numerous

times across the Silent Zone, with two even falling on the same ranch – one in 1938,

and another in 1954.

However, the Silent Zone became known by its name in 1966 when Pemex, the national oil

company, sent an expedition to explore the area.

The lead of the expedition was frustrated by the problems he was having with his radio,

so he christened it the Zone of Silence.

Even though many believe that nothing strange is happening in the Mexican Silent Zone, there

are too many strange events connected to this area.

Groups of scientists are still occasionally visiting the Silent Zone, but just like with

the Bermuda Triangle, any rational piece of evidence is missing.

In the meantime, people come from all over to experience the area and see for themselves

if numerous legends are true.

Stone Spheres of Costa Rica

Still considered a great unsolved archaeological mystery, the near perfect ancient stone spheres

of Costa Rica were first found near the southern Caribbean in the Diquis Delta, and hundreds

more have been found all over the country.

Since the 1930s, hundreds of stone spheres have been documented, ranging in size from

a few centimeters to over two meters in diameter.

Some weigh 16 tons, and almost all of them are made of granodiorite – a hard, igneous

stone.

These objects are monolithic sculptures made by human hands.

Archaeologists and sciences were able to figure out how these spheres were made.

It is believed that they were made by reducing round boulders to a spherical shape through

a combination of controlled fracture, pecking, and grinding.

Furthermore, the balls could have been roughed out through the application of heat and cold.

Finally, this process would end with the spheres being polished to a high luster.

What is interesting is that there are no traces of metal tools, even though metal tools were

available at the time these spheres were created.

The biggest mystery that surrounds these strange-looking objects is that no one knows their true purpose.

Many of them were found to be in alignments, consisting of straight and curved lines, as

well as triangles and parallelograms.

One group of four balls was found to be arranged in a line oriented to magnetic north.

This has led to speculation that the spheres may have been arranged by people familiar

with the use of magnetic compasses, or astronomical alignments.

It seems like we'll never get to know the real truth behind these stone spheres since

almost all of them have been moved from their original locations.

Many of the balls have been blown up by local treasure hunters who believed that the balls

contain gold.

Balls have been rolled into gullies and ravines, or even into underwater marine locations.

Dozens of these objects have been transported far from their zone of origin, separating

them even further from the consciousness of the descendants of the people who made them.

The Placebo Effect

Imagine the following scenario: Several times a day, for several days, you induce pain in

someone.

You control the pain with morphine until the final day of the experiment, when you replace

the morphine (which is a powerful pain medication) with saline solution (which is a mixture of

salt and water).

This happens without the patient being aware that all of a sudden, saline solution is being

used.

Can you guess what happens?

The saline takes the pain away.

This phenomenon is known as the placebo effect.

Somehow, sometimes, a whole lot of nothing can be very powerful.

Suddenly, the saline solution seems as powerful as morphine.

A scientist named Fabrizio Benedetti of the University of Turin in Italy carried out the

previously explained experiment, but he added a final twist of adding naloxone, a drug that

blocks the effects of morphine.

The shocking result?

The pain-relieving power of saline solution disappeared.

So, what is going on here?

Doctors have known about the placebo effect for decades, but the experiment conducted

by Fabrizio Benedetti showed that the placebo effect is somehow biochemical.

Apart from that, we simply don't know anything else.

Benedetti has since shown that a saline placebo can reduce tremors and muscle stiffness in

people with Parkinson's disease.

In other words, he was helping those who were suffering from serious and damaging illnesses

using saline solution instead of using drugs.

As Benedetti says, we have a lot to learn about what is happening here.

One thing is clear: the mind has the ability to affect the body's biochemistry.

Researchers now need to identify when and where placebo works.

There may be some diseases in which it has no effect.

As yet, we just don't know.

Tell me in the comments section, what do you think about these unexplained scientific mysteries?

Do you believe that there are some areas on our planet that are influenced by mysterious

natural forces, and do you think that the history books are telling the truth about

out past?

If you find it mysterious, share and like this video.

WHO WILL DIE IN AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR? - Duration: 4:29.

Characters in the MCU never die. And by that I mean, unless you're an underdeveloped

villain, a fast vaguely Eastern European guy, or Coulson, kidding not really. But with the

third entry in the Avengers series, Avengers: Infinity War, coming up just next year, who

knows, maybe it's time for someone to go. So today I thought I'd talk about who I

think could potentially die in Avengers 3. And two things for the record, spoilers for

the MCU so far, although I guess I probably should've said that before, whatever, it's

been 2 years alright, and secondly this also applies to the yet to be titled follow up

to Avengers 3, as that is kind of a continuation of this story. Alright then, let's get into

it. Firstly, let's get some main contenders

out of the way. Iron Man. I think there's a pretty good chance he could die here. TonY

Stark has kind of been the linchpin in the MCU thus far, a lot has changed but he's

kind of remained constant throughout these movies from the very beginning. And he's

arguably the most popular character, though there are others that are coming for that

position. So having him be killed off here could be a really emotional way to add some

real stakes to this movie. Plus we've been told over and over again that Infinity War

is the culmination of all the MCU movies, so since Iron Man started this whole universe,

a decade prior to this movie's release by the way, seeing him could be fitting. It could

also be a way of kind of concluding the old Avenger's storyline, since most of the original

actors' contracts are up after this, and kind of ushering in this age of the new MCU.

Then there's Captain America, who I really thought was gonna die in CiviL War, like,

everything pointed to that, but I guess I was wrong. Yeah, there's a decent chance

he'll die here, though if he was going to I think they would've done it in Civil War.

He's also a super genuine and very respected guy in this universe, so if he died, it could

kind of work as a team motivation for the Avengers, in the same way Coulson did.

I also think there's a very small chance that The Winter Soldier will die, but I think

a likelier outcome will be if Cap dies, then Bucky will take on the mantle of Captain America.

Even though Captain America isn't really Captain America anymore, I don't know, it's

kinda confusing. Now one that I really think has a high probability

of happening is The Vision. This has been floated before, and yeah, while it might seem

kinda obvious, I still think it'll probably happen. The reason being, Thanos is gonna

get all of the Infinity Stones and of those stones is in The Vision's head. So it's

going to get removed, and that's either gonna just put him out of action for the rest

of the film, or kill him, and I suspect the latter.

I also think Loki might bite it here. And yes, for real this time, I know he's died

like 15 times already, but actual death here. And the reason I think there's a very good

chance is that remember in the first Avengers, Thanos gave Loki this army to take over and/or

destroy the world. He said if he doesn't succeed there won't be any place in this

universe he can hide, or something like that. And as we know, spoiler alert, he didn't

succeed, so i can imagine Thanos is gonna be out to slaughter him this time around.

Other characters who could die but probably won't real quick, Scarlet Witch, cuz she

was made from an Infinity Stone so maybe, I doubt it though, they already killed a Maximoff.

Hulk and Thor, can't really think o f a real specific reason for them to die so I'd

say the chances are very slim, it's just that they're original Avengers and their

contracts are nearly up. And Hawkeye, who I would've said will die since they've

hinted at it a lot, but he's rumored to be in a movie that's being released after

this one, so….probably not. So before I wrap up this video, I just wanna

talk about something to do with my channel here at the end. So if that interests you,

stick around. I'm thinking about doing a podcast type thing with a good friend of mine,

rather than this kind of edited video it's more of a long form audio free flowing discussion,

I mean, if you know what a podcast is, it's that. Now to be clear this would not replace

my normal videos in any way, those will continue as normal, this would just be a little thing

in addition to that. It's just a way for me to kind of have a conversation and talk

about different movie related things that I might not normally be able to talk about

or talk about in kind of a free way. So if that's something you're interested in

potentially hearing, let me know down below. I don't wanna do something that no one would

listen to, so we'll see. And if you have any suggestions for a name for a podcast,

also feel free to leave that below. So, it might take a bit of time, but I'm hoping

to work on that in the near-ish future. So those were my thoughts on who will die

in the next Avengers. Who do you think will perish? Let me know all of your thoughts down

below in the comments. While you're at it be sure to like this video, check out my Instagram

and Twitter @bhl_hudson, and subscribe for more videos like the one you just watched.

Thanks for watching and I'll see ya next time.

Guru Purnima 2017: Full Moon Of The Guru Retreat With Dr. Pillai - Duration: 5:18.

but are they useful?

I'm in front of you to talk about the importance of Guru, the Guru.

I'm in front of you to talk about the importance of Guru, the Guru.

up so many ideas and then puts precise words in your Brain.

So what I do is I just call on a being like Ganesh.

No.

[Chants:] 'Om Gung, Gung, Gung, Ganeshaya Namaha,' and the being immediately clears

In The Guru tradition of India, if you don't have a Guru in your life, your life is a waste.

The Guru can give you everything that you want.

Without the Guru, even if you acquire knowledge, acquire money, you will not be liberated.

Liberated from what?

Liberated from ignorance, the ignorance of the body that creates diseases and aging,

the ignorance of the mind that creates limited understanding.

How does the Guru Principle work?

God comes here in the form of the Guru.

And if you are lucky, fortunate, then you will know who your Guru is.

You'll be transformed by looking at the Guru because The Guru's body carries Chakras,

energy points.

His very form is transformative.

His very look is transformative.

If he thinks about someone, that is the greatest Blessings that you can have, because God comes

in the form of a Guru.

That is the Indian Guru tradition.

So you don't have to worry about the validity of the tradition.

All that you have to worry about is how you relate to a spiritual teacher.

If you just go to him just for knowledge, and then that you will process, that will

be good, but it's not going to be 100% fruitful to you.

And in order to be totally transformed by the Guru, you have to look at the Guru as

your own higher Self, as your own God, guiding you.

And if you have the trust, then you are transformed.

That's why there is this saying, [Chants:] Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshswara,

Guru Shak Shat Param Brahma, Tas Mei Sri Gurave Namaha.

Guru is the Creator God, Maintainer God, and the God Guru Dissolves; and who is that three

Trinity?

That is my Guru.

So that is the most powerful statement about the Guru.

Being in the presence of the Guru is the most important.

This is what compelled me to do the Guru Purnima program.

I decided to do one.

But this will be like a week long program for Enlightenment, of making you to understand

your own divine Nature.

I'm Finally On an Airplane! - Duration: 9:27.

And we are here!

It was so long ago I was at an airport!

It was...

In June.

Yeah I guess

It was so long ago!

Ahh I want to go in!

But still not because...

Now that you're actually going you kinda want to stay home.

I'm nervous!

Look, that's the plane we're going with.

But I think we missed the sunset

I wanted to go in the sunset...

Oh it opens automatically, how nice.

Some difference from our airport

Mom, I thought you took us to summer!

Oh wow that's a lot of snow!

Sofia, you should see the snow when it's winter.

What?

It's spring

It is winter!

It's spring now

It's still winter here!

It's swedish spring

But it's still winter here!

It's winter here, isn't it?

well...

It's spring-winter

Both were right

Go out of the car Sofia

Oh whoops

But what's the difference between winter and spring-winter?

I can't get out!

It locked

He's totally crazy

I wish Tyra were here

Wait a minute, did you bring winter shoes?

Or did you just go in these?

I just traveled in those

Is it true?!

Which ones did he go in?

My vans

Wait is it true

You didn't tell me!

I said winter shoes

No!

And I haven't even noticed

Well I took 2 pair of shoes with me

David went in these shoes

But you had 2 pairs?

Yes...

Then he can have one pair

Ok you can have these if you want to...

That's kind of funny

Then we'll have to find solutions

You could make a whole book out of this trip

A trip full of happenings!

Here's my mom's old room

and there's me in mom's old room!

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone - [PV] "What Do You Mean!?" (Romaji/English Subs) - Duration: 3:10.

"What Do You Mean!?" Music & Lyrics by Kuchibashi-P

My troubled thought next to me is

A pendulum clock swinging on a local solution

It has put embarrassing words in a column

And made a start on the next puzzle

Drawn with an abstruse equation: Affection

Machines called humans meditate

What do you mean? What do you mean?

What do you like?

What do you mean? What do you mean?

That's not what I mean

What do you mean? What do you mean?

What are your likings?

What do you mean? What do you mean?

Am I measuring up to you?

If I'm not depending on numbers

I wonder what I can convert the boredom into

Suddenly I catch your eye and hide my sigh

And so I meditate on a machine called human

What do you mean? What do you mean?

What do you like?

What do you mean? What do you mean?

That's not what I mean!

What do you mean? What do you mean?

Who do you like?

What do you mean? What do you mean?

Tell me everything

What do you mean? What do you mean?

For your smile

What do you mean? What do you mean?

I get co-occurred

Tell me

Facts about random German places - Duration: 4:38.

A big thank you to my Patron Michael for suggesting the topic for this video.

And remember that you, too, can help suggest topics for videos

and see your name in the credits

by supporting me on Patreon. So check that out if you haven't already done so.

But before you, enjoy the video.

Wherever you go, the chances are you'll find some funny or quirky facts about the place.

For example, the town I grew up in may or may not be the gateway to the underworld.

But, just because it's fun, here are some quirky facts about random German places.

The city of Ulm boasts the tallest church in the world.

But, more importantly for this video, its name forms part of a tongue-twister.

That's not the fun part.

The fun part is that I now have to say it.

Thank you. I won't be doing that again.

Mageburg is the capital city of Saxony-Anhalt,

and its local dialect is a Low German variety called Eastphalian.

An interesting quirk in this dialect is that while this phrase is spelled with five Gs,

they're all pronounced differently, and none of them is pronounced [g].

Using the International Phonetic Alphabet you can see the different pronunciations of the G.

Oh, you want me to say it?

All right, I'll do my best. Aplogies to the people of Magdeburg,

but it's a bit like this.

Let's move on to something that doesn't involve me trying to pronounce something.

Parts of the city of Mainz aren't in Mainz.

They aren't even in the same state.

They used to be, but after the Second World War Germany was completely reorganized.

The new states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse were created,

and the border between them was the river Rhine.

This meant that six districts belonging to Mainz were on the other side of the border.

Three of them became independent towns,

and the other three were incorporated into the city of Wiesbaden.

And this means there are parts of Wiesbaden that have "Mainz" in their names.

According to opinion polls,

most of the people living in these areas still feel they should be part of Mainz.

In fact, when naming new streets,

the city of Mainz is very careful not to use names

that are already in use in Amöneberg, Kastel or Kostheim,

just in case the day ever comes that they rejoin Mainz.

The people of Bischofsheim, Gustavsburg and Ginsheim

are actually quite happy with the situation,

because historically they were mainly Protestant

and never felt they belonged to the Catholic city of Mainz.

Many German cities and towns like to add a descriptive prefix to their names.

For example, there is the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg,

the Brothers Grimm City of Hanau,

and the Luther City of Wittenberg.

But some of them you feel are trying too hard.

For example, Hostmar describes itself as the Town of Castellans' Houses...

...because it has some.

The town of Altenburg chooses to call itself after the popular German card game Skat.

Why?

Because it was in Altenburg that some people took the older game of Schafkopf

and changed some of the rules.

They take it very seriously, though.

It's the seat of the International Skat Tribunal,

which exists to resolve disputes over the interpretation of the rules.

My favourite, though, is the town of Teltow, just outside of Berlin.

Famous for growing turnips, it's known as the Root Vegetable Town of Teltow.

The town itself, though, has stopped short of adopting this name officially —

a decision which is certainly wise, if disappointing.

Thanks for watching. If you'd like to send me a postcard, here's the address.

50 wise and curious facts about that most remarkable predator of the night – the owl - Duration: 7:32.

Welcome Back!

I'm Clover.

This week, people the world over will celebrate the International Owl Festival.

Before it gets here, I was curious to know all that I could about owls, so here are 50

wise and curious facts about that most remarkable predator of the night – the owl.

There are more than 200 different types of owls living in all kinds of places from deserts

to mountains, open grasslands to forests.

In fact, while you probably won't see most of them owls can be found on every continent

except Antarctica.

Given that kind of diversity, its weird that all owls fall into one of two groups, the

barn owl and the true owl.

Now barn owls are actually owls, they are just set apart a bit.

The barn owl is a medium sized owl with a heart

shaped face, long legs and strong talons.

True owls are all the other owls.

The barn owl is particularly loved by farmers since it eliminates any rodent problem in

the barn and surrounding fields.

In fact, a single barn owl needs up to 1,000 mice or 50 pounds of food per year to survive.

Mice aren't their only prey, it was just a good example.

Owls also eat insects, other small mammals and other birds.

Some species are also fond of fish.

As I said, there are over 200 species of owls and the amount of food they need varies greatly

depending on their size and size ranges are huge.

The smallest elf owl averaging one ounce in weight and five inches in height to the largest

the Eurasian Eagle Owl that grows up to ten pounds and can have a wingspan measuring up

to six and half feet in width or the Great Grey Owl which can grow up to 33 inches tall.

Regardless of quantity most owls hunt at night, though some hunt at dawn or dusk and a few

like the burrowing owl hunt during the daylight.

No matter what time it is, most owls hunt using their amazing sense of smell or hearing

and grab whatever they find with their sharp, strong talons or claws.

In mentioning vision, its important to note that most owls are farsighted which means

they cannot see things close to them but in exchange they usually have excellent distance

vision.

In fact, the northern hawk owl can see a vole up to a half mile away.

That brings me to a huge surprise.

You know those big round, forward facing things that most people think of first when they

think of owls?

Do you think they are eyes?

Guess what, they are not actually eyes like we think of eyes.

They are more like eye tubes and owls cannot roll or move their eyes at all.

The front placement and composition of these eye tubes are what give owls the incredible

depth perception they need for the low light hunting they do so very well.

Most owls also have an excellent sense of hearing.

Their ears are located on both sides of the head behind the eyes, like yours, but they

are different form you in that they are usually located at different heights on the head.

One is placed lower than the other – wouldn't that make wearing glasses tricky.

Owls don't mind having offset ears though because it improves sound detection and makes

locating prey much easier.

Some owls have what looks like ears placed evenly on their head.

These aren't ears and cannot detect sound.

They are actually a big fake out that the owls use to help camouflage themselves or

in shows of aggression.

Owl's sight and hearing is enhanced by the fact that owls have twice the number vertebrae

in their neck as humans do – fourteen in total.

This makes the owls neck super flexible and gives them the ability to turn their heads

about 270 degrees letting it look and hear in a lot of different directions even over

its own shoulder it its search for prey.

Remember, the owl cannot move its eyes because of the way they are made so the only way it

can look in another direction is to turn its whole head making those vertebrae not just

a cool adaptation but a necessary one.

Anyway, added to all these incredible characteristics is the owls ability to fly silently.

If you are close enough, you can hear most birds flapping as they fly.

Animals that might become prey can usually hear those noises from much further away and

in plenty of time to hide.

Owls have special feathers that muffle the sound of their flying and allow them to use

their best hunting strategies of stealth and surprise to catch some of those many, many

pounds of food them must eat each year.

With all those super hunting skills comes one big drawback.

Owls don't have teeth and they cannot chew their food.

Owls do have hairline feathers on their beak and feet that they use as a kind of feeler

but they have no teeth.

Because of this lack, most owls prefer to hunt prey that is small enough to fit in their

mouth because they often swallow it whole, bones, feather, fur, teeth, claws, everything

goes right down the owls throat.

Whatever the owl cannot digest is regurgitated in the form of a pellet.

In fact, people intentionally collect and dissect these pellets to see what type food

a particular owl has been eating.

Go ahead, take a moment to say YUCK!

If that didn't' disgust you, you can go online and order some owl pellets of your

very own.

Honestly, companies collect and sell them.

If you find all those facts about owls as impressive as I do, then the curiosity roaming

through your mind is how to find an owl in the wild.

Usually owls are solitary and territorial creatures though if a group or parliament

of owls get together you will hear a lot of noise.

While not all owl species can hoot, most do.

While different species produce different sounds, you might listen for a screech, hiss

and even a scream when you are out owl hunting.

Whether one or a bunch of owls, unless they are making noise you will likely have trouble

spotting one if it doesn't want to be found.

Owls coloration is designed specifically to blend into the environment and can come in

a wide range of colors including brown, rust, gray, white and black.

You likely won't even spot an owl if you hang out at the local watering hole.

Owls rarely drink water.

They get most of the liquid they need form their prey though some owls do like a nice

bath now and then so waiting on the banks of a lake or river might be a possibility

though your are more likely to spot something other than an owl.

The best way to find a barn owl is to look for the heart shaped face.

Though you might spot an owl sitting on the three to four round, white eggs that fill

its nest especially since owl eggs hatch over a period of time rather than having all the

eggs hatch at once.

If you want to improve your chances, you might find the elf owl nesting in a giant saguaro

cactus in the Southeastern United States or Mexico though they are as likely to live in

trees and telephone poles so don't count on it.

In other areas of both North and South America you can look for the long-legged burrowing

owl.

At night it can be found nesting in the ground in tunnels made by other animals like the

prairie dog.

If prairie dogs aren't prevalent in your area, the burrowing owl will also dig its

own nest if necessary.

Finding those tunnel entrances is important because the burrowing owl uses them to hunt.

It actually surrounds the tunnel to its nest with pooh and then sits and waits, all day

long if necessary, for its favorite food.

See, the burrowing owls favorite food is the dung beetle and everyone knows the dung beetles

favorite food is poo.

Smart bird that.

If all else fails and you still really want to see an owl, you could try a zoo or preserve.

Owls in captivity live as long as twenty years so they are a common display at zoos.

Don't forget to share some curious owl facts with your family and friends in honor of the

International Owl Festival and click subscribe.

I'll be back tomorrow with 50 more curious facts for you.

If you have something curious to share, let me know.

Maybe I'll make a video about it.

See you tomorrow.

VLOG #8 || EASTERN WASHINGTON ROAD TRIP - Duration: 11:26.

So good!

So right now, it's 7AM

I only got 1 hour of sleep last night

I'm crying forever

Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel

I hope you guys are having a great day!

Basically, this vlog, we'll be going on a road trip

We'll be going to Wenatchee to visit my grandma and surprise her for her birthday

Because recently it was her birthday last week but she lives up in the mountains

Some of us are getting together and go over to Wenatchee and surprise her!

And take her out for lunch

Ok so I'll show you some scenarios of my road trip

And show you whatever I'm doing on the road trip

Beautiful snow! Where we're located - Steven Pass

That's usually where the mountains are at and snow too as well. And it's still April!?

There's still a lot of snow out there. That's the usual for Washington!

So right now, it's 8:30 in the morning and we have like 2 hours left to go

Right now, it's still early in the morning so everything outside is beautiful and foggy!

You see how much snow outside! Wow ridiculous

Ok about 30-40 minutes, we'll soon arrive to Leavenworth

It's one of the most oldest, historic towns in Washington

Coffee is life bae

I'm really tired wow

That's what I get for only getting 1 hour of sleep last night

RIP me

So pretty much, coffee is helping me function for the day

I'm playing a game right now because there's no service

I'm playing Panda Pop. I do have bunch of games

My point saying is that most games I have require internet connection (network) and I don't have that right now

So I only have a couple of games that doesn't need one and I'm just playing whatever I have

Honestly I've lived here in WA pretty much my whole life

And it doesn't matter how many times I've seen this

I've seen this through different seasons such as snow (winter), fall, warm (spring/summer)

And everytime I see this, it always takes my breath away. It's just so gorgeous

It's like so amazing that where we live, it's in such a beautiful place

For you guys who live in Washington, you'll know what I'm talking about

So yeah we're at rest stop because obviously they had to go to the bathroom

So yeah

Ok so we just arrived in Leavenworth

Ok so that was it for Leavenworth!

Leavenworth is a very small, old fashioned, cute town. That's it!

Now, we'll soon arrive to Wenatchee

About 30-40 minutes left to go

Right now, it's 9:30AM

Honestly, I just want to sleep. Just go to my bed and sleep

I'm so tired

Crying forever

That's pretty much my life

I almost never really get enough sleep. I mean honestly I just don't

It's so gorgeous outside! It's a little bit cold but still a little bit warm and sunny. It's really nice!

Because so far, all we're getting is rain and it's cold outside. We just really had a long cold winter

So I'm just so ready for spring/summer so it can be warm like this outside

So we just arrived in Wenatchee finally! And it's 9:45AM right now

It has been a long 3 hours drive and I'm just ready to get out of the car

We're getting ready to surprise grandma close to 11AM

Now, I'm finally getting out of the car

I feel much better now!

Okay so we just left Wenatchee. We spent a couple of hours with grandma and some of other family members

We had lunch and talked for a couple of hours. It was good

I'll talk about this more later when I get home. I will sit down and talk a little bit about it so hold that thought till later

I need coffee desperately. I need more!

I'm only running on 1 hour of sleep and honestly I'm so ready to crash

But I'd rather hold and be patient till I get home then I can go to bed early

So I don't mess up with my sleep schedule. You know the drill blah blah

Right now, it's only 1:35PM

So in the back, they're 2 of my uncles

I'm at the local candy store near Leavenworth

They wanted to stop at the candy store near Leavenworth

They have many different kinds of homemade fudges. They have many candies, sodas, like old fashioned things

My mom and uncles did buy some things but I didn't.

Because you know me, I'm not into sweet things. It's not my thing

Now, we're pretty much driving back home for about 2 hours

Looking forward for that again

And I think it's kinda funny because back in Leavenworth/Wenatchee, it was sunny and little bit warm

But now, it's already cold, raining, snowing, and foggy. It's amazing how the weather changes so quickly

Ok so I just woke up from a nap and I'm still really tired. I only slept for like 30 minutes

RIP me

I'm just really tired

I don't really think getting 1 hour of sleep was the best decision I made

But oh well, it already happened

I'm tired. Really exhausted

I'm so happy to be back home

It was a long day

It was a good time. I just wanted to explain a little bit about what I really meant about my family back at lunch time

I did have a good time but keep in mind that I'm the only deaf person in the family

And my family doesn't know ASL. They know nothing about it

They don't really try to interact with me. They tend to talk with one of my parents

Like they tend to rely on my parents to get to know more about me. They don't actually interact with me

That's why I'm not really close with my family unfortunately

It's more of being idle, like I don't know what to do

I try to ask my mom what did they say but my mom's easily distracted so it takes a while to get her full attention

But the topic of conversation already happened. They're already on other subject

So my mom would tell me that she forgot or she would tend to summarize what they said

Like for example, "she's talking about my brother or one of my cousins"

She doesn't really get into what they talked about and that makes me frustrated

Because like I want to know more! Like I'm part of the family, you know?

Yeah so... But again, it was good but nothing special happened

I mean that's it

That's pretty much the whole situation I wanted to explain

So I hope you guys enjoyed this vlog!

It has been a while since the last time I did a vlog

It was very beautiful and watching the views of the forests, mountains, water, fresh air

Don't forget to like this video if you did and subscribe if you want to see more videos like this in the future

I hope you guys have a great week and enjoy life!

See you later! Bye guys

What's up people its your guy mark with mcguire's tutorials

I wanted to shoot a quick video to show you how to share your videos using camtasia

or to save your video now I usually use two options

you just go up into share now usually what I use most of the time is uhh I click

on local file and once I click on local file

I record in 1080p so I just click on

mp4 only up to 1080p you also got uhh

mp4 only up to 720p if you record in 720

but I always use 1080p so I just click on 1080p

next and I don't want a whole bunch of smaller

like smaller files so I uncheck this box

and than I would just name my file

and just click finish

than its going to upload

ok so once its finished rendering its

automatically going to open up and play the video that you just

that you just saved

so you could check it out and view it

so I'm going to close it up

just hit finish there and than I'm going to go over to

YouTube I'm going to find that file that I just saved and I'm going to upload it

and that's how I usually upload my files its uploading ok

processing done so now its complete so this is also another way that you could

do it also. You could also go up into share go to youtube

and here you could just put

the title its already checked off private but if you want

to as you can see you got your category you can put your tags in you can also

put the description and I'm already signed in and than I would click

finish and it will automatically upload this straight to my channel

so that's also another way that you could uhh that you could

upload your video clip

over to youtube and that's how I basically save my files

and upload to YouTube from camtasia. I hope you found this tutorial

helpful if so please like and subscribe and I'll see you in the next video

It's creator, Brian Flatt, claims that you can lose between 12 and 23 pounds of fat in just 21 days. It seems a lot, so do his claims stand up? Does the 3 week diet really work? The 3 week diet is basically a combination of different diets which are chained together into different phases. The diet starts with a detox phase, then an optional fasting phase followed by two different low carb phases.3 Week Diet Plan Review 2017 - Get 7 Days FREE TRIAL (Fast Weight Loss Challenge) As you might imagine with a diet promising such quick weight loss, the diet does seem quite extreme – and to carry out each phase to the maximum is not easy. As Karen found, it can make you feel pretty drained to start with. But as it's only for 3 weeks and the final phase is the least daunting, it is achievable. It is possible to do the diet in a slightly less extreme form, simply knowing that you're not maximizing your weight loss. As usual to aid weight loss, the weight loss plan includes an exercise program. This is split into two parts both with different types of exercises. The required exercise during the program is to walk every day before breakfast. The optional part is a classic dumbbell based workout program, which is intended to maximize fat burning. As this workout is optional, if you're not a fan of this type of exercise, it's no problem, you will easily lose weight without it, but you will slim more if you put in the extra effort. To balance against the restricted nature of the diet, standing on the scales each day and finding that you've lost weight is a great motivator. And that's the thing that keeps us going through the hunger pangs of the detox and fasting phases. My personal opinion is that it looks like he's put the diet together using a process of trial and error and then tried to find some supporting science to bulk out the manual. This would be the reason that the science and the diet don't always match up. But regardless, the results speak for themselves.3 Week Diet Plan Review 2017 - Get 7 Days FREE TRIAL (Fast Weight Loss Challenge) Who is the 3 Week Diet best for?
