Come to us, set us free...

Do you hear the torments of beings in distress?

Their tortures embrace the fortress

Poor souls, full of remorse, of anger

Are scaling and cracking like rock

Ikana is crying of despair

Grazed by her nightmares

Splinters of stones and fear

Are cutting your heart from every side

Hero of Time, do you hear our prayers?

Set us free from our chains, from our shackles

Hero of Time, do you hear our prayers?

Set us free from this hellfire

Cursed place, which is crying upside-down

Scratched by your light arrows

They're watching you, hidden in the darkness

The spirits, which are awakening

Taking The Subway When You're Deaf - Duration: 6:10.

(pen scratching)

(Pokemon game sound)

Hello. Okay, so let's talk about taking the TTC or the subway

as someone who is deaf or hard of hearing.

For the first time yesterday since moving to a different location,

or since my boyfriend moved to a different location,

I used the TTC in Toronto by myself.

Before, my boyfriend was living in downtown Toronto

and it took a while for me to use the subway there

because I was afraid of taking it by myself,

and then he moved outside of downtown Toronto

and it took me a while to get the courage to

do it all over again.

I mean, let's be honest, the TTC

isn't the most deaf-accessible always.

I'm assuming that's probably similar to other subway stations,

so maybe you can use these four tips and tricks

that I have for using the subway station

when you are deaf or hard of hearing.

Or if you're not deaf or hard of hearing

and you just want to know what I did then,

you know, hello, join me.

So, I actually went all the way from Kipling station

to Queen station by myself and then back

and that was a little nerve-racking.

So, the very first thing that I did

was I went on Google Maps... about 20 times

and then before I left,

I made sure to screenshot everything on my phone.

Because when you go underground there's no more service

and Wi-Fi doesn't really work.

At least for me yesterday the Wi-Fi didn't really work,

so I needed to make sure that I had all the information there

to make sure that I was very, very comfortable

and I wasn't going to get lost.

Because I know I can't rely on TTC workers and all of them

to type for me because that's a risk that...

It's a waste of time sometimes.

So, I screenshotted the station that I was leaving from

and I also had to walk there myself,

so that was something that I had to do a lot of research on

because Google Maps made me get lost the whole entire time

and took me in one big circle

and actually took me past the station, but anyway.

So, I screenshotted the station I was leaving from,

the station that was my destination station,

which actually I took one extra stop to Queen.

Originally I was supposed to stop at Dundas as my destination.

I just took that extra stop because I know that station.

And then I definitely screenshotted the station

that would make me switch subways.

So not only that but I pulled up all the stops in between, like,

Kipling and Yonge,

and just made sure that I could keep track of all the stops.

That way I would make sure I would not get off at the wrong stop.

Now, on every subway that I've been on

there is a little map that shows you all three lines,

so the eastbound-westbound, north and south- okay, that's...

There was a line from Kipling to Kennedy

and then two other lines that I can't remember right now.

Now, on the newer subways they had actual lights on each stop,

so when you passed one

it would turn orange or something

and then when the next stop was coming,

that light on that would flash,

so you would have an idea of where you were going.

Now, the older ones, they didn't have

lights attached to each stop, so you kind of just had to...

It... It is what it is.

I could sort of hear some of the stops in the announcement,

but a lot of them I didn't really understand,

so it was kind of really hard to follow along with without the light.

When I changed subways at Yonge station,

that was easy because I changed to a newer subway,

but the one from Kipling to Yonge, it was an older one, so...

Another thing that I really, really like on the newer subway

is that there's a big old text screen that will say

'next stop Queen' or 'next stop Union' or, you know, whatever

and then it will tell you which side to get off of,

which I don't really need that, I can see the doors open myself.

But it's nice to know what the next stop is in plain text.

That is probably the most accessible way for me

to know where we're going and what the next stop is

and it makes me feel a little more comfortable.

However, when I'm on an older subway,

like from Kipling to Yonge and Yonge and back or Bloor and back,

there's no screens, so what I actually end up doing -

and this is my last tip

is I try to sit by a window

somewhere that is accessible

that I can look at the walls of the subway stops

and, you know, see where we are.

So for example, when I look on my Google Maps screenshot

and then I see the stop before Kipling,

I can just look out the window and when I see that name on the wall,

I know, "Okay, I'm going to get off at this next stop."

Of course, I could also continue to look out the window

and when I see my stop, then I leave.

But just for a little extra comfort, because I like that extra comfort,

I just like to know ahead of time where we are going.

I know the TTC is extremely easy for some people,

but coming from somebody who is not used to public transportation,

it can be a little bit scary,

especially when you know there's going to be

announcements made that I cannot hear,

auditory announcements that I cannot hear,

and there were announcements and I was just like,

"I have no idea what is being said."

So, it's a little frightening, but those little tips and tricks

and constantly checking things make me feel a little bit better.

A couple of other deaf friends have told me that

they find it a little hard to navigate the TTC as well,

so... I know I'm not alone.

But if you have any other tips -

it doesn't matter if you're deaf or hard of hearing

or even hearing, because I know

some people get confused by the public transportation anyway -

so if you do have any other tips in general,

please feel free to leave them down in the comments.

I'm excited to go on my next adventure by myself to Koreatown,

which is a shorter journey than going all the way to Eaton Centre,

so if I can go all away from here to Eaton Centre,

I think I will be fine going from here to Christie station.

But I'm excited.

Trump Blasts Deputy AG I'm Being Investigated By Man Who Told Me To Fire The FBI Director! Witch Hun - Duration: 3:11.

Trump Blasts Deputy AG Im Being Investigated By Man Who Told Me To Fire The FBI Director!

Witch Hunt

by Tyler Durden

President Trump's latest twitter target seems to be his own Deputy Attorney General Rod

Rosenstein who he blasts for the hiring of a Special Counsel to investigate the firing

of former FBI Director James Comey, after writing a letter himself explicitly calling

for the firing of James Comey.

"I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the

FBI Director!

Witch Hunt"

Of course, Trump's message isn't crystal clear on exactly who the subject of the tweet is

and has left some wondering whether he might actually be referring to Special Counsel Mueller.

That said, we would note that if Mueller did, in fact, weigh in on the firing of Comey it

would almost certainly make him a conflicted party in any obstruction investigation.

Moreover, since Rosenstein did, in fact, draft a letter calling for the termination of James

Comey, a letter which Trump revealed publicly on May 9th, it would seem more logical that

the tweet is directed at him.

Here is an excerpt from our post back in May:

In the letter from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, he cites the handling of Comey's

Clinton investigation, and says that Comey was wrong to cite his conclusions about the

Clinton email probe in July of 2016: "I cannot defend the Director's handling of the conclusion

of the investigation of Secretary Clinton's emails, and I do not understand his refusal

to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken," Rosenstein wrote.

Rosenstein was referring to Comey's decision to announce in July last year that the probe

of Hillary Clinton should be closed without prosecution, but then declared - 11 days before

the Nov. 8 election - that he had reopened the investigation because of a discovery of

a new trove of Clinton-related emails.

Democrats say the decision cost Clinton victory.

Rosenstein also identified several areas in which he said Comey had erred, saying it was

wrong of him to "usurp" then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch's authority by announcing the

initial conclusion of the email case on July 5.

Comey "announced his own conclusions about the nation's most sensitive criminal investigation,

without the authorization of duly appointed Justice Department leaders," Rosenstein wrote.

Comey also "ignored another longstanding principle" by holding a news conference to "release derogatory

information about the subject of a declined criminal investigation."

Of course, despite Rosenstein's letter, critics will note that Trump later admitted that he

had been considering the termination of James Comey from the moment he took office.

Cuba trip with @supercharge - Duration: 12:55.

hi guys! I can't believe it but i am in Cuba!

and it is so so hot here

as you can see i am all red and sweaty

because it is crazy humid

and I cant really breathe normally at the moment

but thank god we have AC in our room

now I have one hour to get ready

I need to fix myself

because we have a cultural night

for now i only have my dress but I need to do something with my face as well

we are only staying in this villa for a couple of days

so we are not unpacking our luggages

so we are ready to go

here is my outfit for tonight

I think the moment I go out I will feel so hot, I wont be able to take any photos

in any case I already want to go to the city and see how it is in the heart of Havana

and try some nice food

we already had some great mojitos today

so I am excited to go out finally

Rachel and I are walking around and taking some photos because the light is perfect

I think Cuba should have some beautiful sunsets

we are in a restaurant

and now we will try some local food

I am not sure what we should order here

someone is filming me at the same time

I hope they will recommend something nice to us

but all these famous people were here so I hope this place is nice

we woke up and we are so tired

because last night we were trying to find some wifi

because guys needed to post something

I didn't need to because people on my side of the world were asleep

so we went to sleep really late

and woke up very early

so right now I am still so jetlagged

and I hope to feel a bit better today

because at the moment a feel a little like a zombie

this is my outfit for today and now we will have breakfast

I am so hungry, even though we ate late last night but then we walked for so long

we are now driving in this thing to have lunch

i think I will fly out now

good morning guys

today is our last day in Havana

and the activity for today is Vintage cars

we were supposed to do this yesterday but didn't do it because of the rain

so we are doing it today

and now we will have breakfast, drive in the cars, take some photos

and then we are going to Varadero

it is a different city here in Cuba

while everyone is getting ready I will quickly show you our house

here is our room, sorry for the mess

we have very high ceilings

very strange art on the walls

this is where we sleep

we have our own bathroom which is very cool

here is the corridor with different rooms

then this is the main area

this is where we have breakfast

I really love this room

this is our terrace

here we have breakfast in the morning

there is the kitchen

and there a re a few more rooms on the second floor

the house is really beautiful

so now you can see a bit of the bathroom

so the first car arrived!

just look how beautiful it is

i am so in love with all these cars

we are in the prettiest car of this pink color

we are finally in Varadero

it is the final of the champions league at the moment

Real Madrid won and here obviously everyone supports them

this is how our hotel looks

right now we are waiting to check into our rooms

and we really want to swim in the sea or in the pool already

we are tired and hot and can't wait to jump into the water

look what I did to my hair today

I tried this color stick for the hair

it was really easy and quick

I am not sure how nice it looks but i wanted to try it out

maybe i need to blend it a bit more

now we are going on a yacht into the sea

first we will quickly grab something to eat, cause we are late as always

we just arrived to a beautiful island on our yacht

before that we swam with the dolphins

this was my first experience with the dolphins

I have been to the dolphinarium once

but i have never swam with them

we didn't really swim with them

we were on a special platform and we could cuddle them etc

I really enjoyed it, even though it is really sad

i have mixed feeling, because on one hand i really loved it but it is not very ethical

so here is the island, with no people

I am waiting for everyone, they are still on the boat and I left to do a little vlog for you

we are having some lobster for lunch

with this beautiful view

this is how we tanned today, please just look at this

there are different shades of red and pink

now we are going to take some last photos

and then we will have dinner

and then we will go party because tonight is our last night

I am saying goodbye to the guys and getting on my plane

I dont want to say goodbyeeee

CRISPR 101: Curing Sickle Cell, Growing Organs, Mosquito Makeovers | Jennifer Doudna - Duration: 7:22.

Well, CRISPR is an acronym that actually represents a sequence of DNA letters in the genomes themselves.

It is found in bacteria and it was interesting to scientists originally because it's a bacterial

immune system, a way that bacteria can fight viral infection.

But the CRISPR acronym has now become widespread in the media as an indication of a new technology

for gene editing.

And the story of how an adaptive immune system and bacteria was harnessed as a technology

for gene editing is really part of what A Crack in Creation is about.

So the CRISPR gene editing technology is a tool that scientists can use to change the

letters of DNA in cells in precise ways.

So I like to use the analogy of a word processor on our computer.

So we have a document, you can think about the DNA in a cell like the text of a document

that has the instructions to tell the cell how to grow and divide and become a brain

cell or a liver cell or develop into an entire organism.

And just like in a document the CRISPR technology gives scientists a way to go in and edit the

letters of DNA just like we might cut and paste text in our document or replace whole

sentences even whole paragraphs or chapters.

We can now do that using the CRISPR technology in the DNA of cells.

So, we think about a technology that allows precise changes to DNA to be made, for scientists

this is sort of really a gift that allows research to proceed very quickly in terms

of understanding the genetics of cells and organisms, but also provides a very practical

way to solve problems.

There's many that we could discuss, but I'll mention a couple that I think are particularly

exciting.

So in clinical medicine, the opportunity to make changes to blood cells that would cure

diseases like Sickle Cell Anemia disease, where we've understood the genetic cause or

for a long time but until now there hasn't been a way to actually think about treating

patients.

And now with this technology it's possible, in principle, to remove stem cells that give

rise to blood cells in a person's body, make edits to those cells that would correct the

mutation causing Sickle cell disease and then replace those cells to essentially give a

patient a new set of cells that don't have the defect.

So I think that's very exciting, and there are multiple research groups right now working

on doing just that.

So I think that's a future probably sometime in the next two to five years we will see

clinical trials in that area, and we hope a real progress toward curing that disease.

But another example that I think is also potentially very impactful clinically—but it has a very

different kind of strategy—is the idea of making edits to pigs to create animals that

are going to be better organ donors for humans.

And so pigs are already of interest for organ donation, but imagine that we could make edits

to the DNA of pigs to make their organs more human like and also to remove any viruses

from pig cells that might otherwise infect a patient and those are both things that are

actively underway using the CRISPR technology.

And then a third area that I think is interesting to think about from the perspective of global

impact in disease is thinking about using gene editing not to change the DNA in people,

per se, but actually to effect the kinds of insects that transmit disease to people.

And the idea here is that one could use a gene editor to create mosquitoes that would

be unable to transmit viruses like a dengue virus or Zika virus by using a technique called

gene drive that allows traits to be spread very quickly through a population using an

efficient way of gene editing such as the CRISPR tool.

And I think that's an opportunity that could have a very big impact in terms of global

health but also requires obviously some very thorough vetting and discussion about potential

environmental impact.

I think one of the aspects of this technology that's been very interesting to me personally

is my own kind of personal growth through the last few years.

I think when I started this research project, which actually began now almost ten years

ago in the lab, we were certainly not thinking about technology that would allow alteration

of human evolution or anything of that nature.

And over the last few years as this technology has begun to be deployed globally for different

applications I found that I've gone from thinking about it initially just with sort of almost

wide-eyed excitement thinking about all the opportunities that this offers to realizing

that there was real risk and that we really needed—"we" meaning the scientific community

and really frankly the human community—needed to be aware of this and discussing it.

And one of the things that sort of brought that to the forefront of my mind was a dream

that I had fairly early on in which I walked into a room and a colleague of mine said to

me, "Jennifer I'd like you to explain the CRISPR technology to a friend."

And he brought me into a room, and a person was sitting with their back to me and as they

turned around I realized it was sort of a horror that it was Hitler, and it was actually

Hitler with sort of a pig nose and it almost looked like a chimeric pig human sort of creature.

And it sounds funny in a way to relate that image, but in the dream it was a terrifying

thing, and I really felt real just stone-cold fear in the dream and sort of woke up from

that dream with a start and realized this initial feeling of "what have I done?!"

And that was really one of the things that motivated me to get out of the lab and start

talking to people more broadly about the technology, about its capabilities, about the great things

about it but also about things that really required really deep thought and careful consideration

and regulation.

Learning Korean Slang / 영국남자 한국슬랭 도전! - Duration: 7:23.

You are disgusting!

What did you say?

- You are disgusting! - Waah!

So today I'm here with Gahyun

- Yes. - Yes.

and we're going to learn some Korean slang.

She has prepared little bits of Korean Slang, thank you.

Ah, thank you [gamsahamnida].

Exactly.

You are going to Korea soon.

- Yes very soon. - You need to..

know this slang.

So they'll use these when I go? People use these.

- Yeah, they will use. - Or should I use these?

- Yeah you should, you can. - Okay, I can, okay great.

First one is

Jon.. mat.. Jon-mat.

Jon-mat. About taste!

About taste.. Jon-mat.

Oh yeah, cause mat is like

- mat-iss-so. (was tasty) - Oh.

So, is Jon from Jon-na? [Very - slang]

- Oh, yeah. So it's like, very tasty?

Ooooh! That's right.

- Very tasty? Yeah. - Ooh, very tasty.

So 'very tasty'. So the long version

- is it jon-mat-iss-so? - Oh!

- Oh yeah, I'm ready! - I'm impressed.

So pretend like we're eating, and you're like..

Oooh!~

This is very tasty!

Right, like that?

No-mat.

Okay, so I'm going to guess that No is in

No

- As in English No. - English, yes.

- And mat as in the taste, from before. - Hmm.

So it has no taste, so it tastes bad?

- Tastes bad, it tastes terrible. - Tastes bad? Oh.

So any food I would make

- would be.. - Ah, no-mat.

no-mat, exactly.

You can cook?

I can cook.. ah, I can cook an omelette.

- I can cook a nice omelette. - Ah, hmm.. that's easy to make.

And microwave meals, I'm the King of the Microwave.

Mmm, that is Shil.. hwa.. nya.

For example

VIXX is coming to London soon

- Hm. - And you can say, Shil-hwa-nya!

Ooh! Like 'Really?'

- Ooh! - 'Oh really', Oh I see.

- Oh, shil-hwa-nya. - Really?

Woah, that's hard to say.

- Shil-hwa-nya. - Shil-hwa-na.

Nya!

Shil.. shil-hwa-nya.

Ooh~

- I like this word. - This is..

- Geuk.. geuk.. geuk.. - Geuk.

-hyeom. - Ah, geuk-hyeom.

Geuk-hyeom.

If you show me

very disgusting video

- So just any video that I would show. - Any video.

I'll say

This is geuk-hyeom!

- That's disgusting. - Ah!

- So it means disgusting. - It's like..

very disgusting.

So if I got my penis out right now

I just went BAGOOSH~, and got it out

Geuk-hyeom.

So I'm going to hear that a lot when I'm in Korea.

Many people say.. "Steve Geuk-hyeom!!"

Steve Geuk-hyeom!

- Mil-dang. - Mil-dang.

- Mil-dang. - It's about relationship.

Relationship?

If someone ask you

'What's going on with that girl?"

you'll say

We

- mil-dang - mil-dang

jung-iya.

Jung-iya? What's jung-iya mean..

We are in mil-dang.

It's a relationship?

Oh! Are you like seeing each other?

Friends with benefits?

Umm..

It means push and..

- pull. - Pull.

Ooh! So it's bad?

So I'll be like, I'm in mil-dang

the girl is a bit annoying.

Tekken 7, FPS boost for low end PCs (Intel Celeron/IntelHD) - Duration: 4:00.

Wait, the next Tekken 7 came out in PC as well?

NEAT

I have not touched a Tekken game since the arcades in the 90s.

Maybe you are trying to play this game on a system that is a bit outdated

or slow and you need a bit of an extra performance?

Well you have come to the right place.

Welcome to the LowSpecGamer

the show where we explore ways of downgrading games to increase their performance

on computers under their minimum requirements

and while it is still early in the release window of Tekken 7

I know of at least one substantial tweak that might help you get this game running.

Tekken 7 is a recently released fighting game running on the 4th generation of the Unreal Engine.

It requires an Intel Core i3-4160 and at least a gtx 660 or 750ti.

Which is why I will be using this Intel Celeron G1840 and its included IntelHD.

You know, basically the same thing.

Initial reports of the game´s performance are really encouraging

and after lowering all the options to a minimum and a resolution of 720

I did get almost 30 FPS, which is really impressive for a recently released AAA game on this hardware.

But this is practice mode and we want to play online, so here is how to make it better.

You need to go into the configuration file located in your hidden local app data folder,

then tekkengame, saved, config, windowsnoeditor and the file is called Engine.ini

In here you can disable shadows by looking for a section called engine.rendersettings

(or adding the section if it does not exist)

and adding the command r.shadowquality=0.

Both these things will be in the description

You will notice the lack of shadows right away

and just with this the Intel Celeron setup was pushed to 35 fps , so it does provide a very nice boost.

The other thing I wanted to point out is that if you add a custom resolution in your GPU´s control panel

you will not see it in the game´s menu, but if you specify this resolution in the GameUserSettings.ini file in the same folder

you can get the game to run it full screen.

I wanted to see if this would be enough to actually get the game working online, so I decided to do a little test.

Hmm, what character should I pick for this online match?

I can't remember any of those... Wait, give me a second…

Are those… what I think they are?

Oh my god, she even has a tail.

This is going to be a disaster, isn't it?

Oh, she has chainsaws for hands.

Oh god, this is going terribly.

Oh, this is going terribly.

Well, that didn't last long.

That actually worked!

Ok, focus, I know I can do this.

Agh…

This is hilarious.

So, that's why I stopped playing Tekken, I could never figure this thing out…

That is all for this episode and I think the first time I have ever covered a figthing game.

Remember to reach out on social networks or the LowSpecGamer subreddit

if you have any further tweaks to share.
