SOMETHING MORE WHY SMILE By Zig Ziglar

Audio Produced by CONSEJOS PARA SER FELIZ

1. YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK If you only learn methods, you will be bound

To your methods, but if you learn principles you can conceive your

Own methods. -Ralph Waldo Emerson-

Our performance plays an important role in

Triumphant and happy will be our future. Be careful what you feed your mind, because

That will affect your actions, and these will affect your future

2. SOLVING PROBLEMS The central point is not problems, for

These are part of your life. The important thing is how to handle them.

You can take control of your own thoughts, actions and emotions; This means you can

Take control of your life. the best way to

Dealing with problems is rearranging your thoughts

And see them as opportunities to grow or mature.

3. CHANGE CAN BE GOOD FOR YOU We get comfort from those who agree

With us and growth of those who are not.

If you are willing to change your thinking today, you can

Change your life and your way of life to make your future

Be better and brighter. 4. LET YOUR MIND EXCEED YOUR KNOWLEDGE

"Your goal must exceed your knowledge, otherwise

What is your effort? "" What could be worse than blindness? "

They asked Hellen Keller once. "It would be infinitely

Worse having a 20/20 view without vision, than being blind but with

Vision, "was his response.

5. Do not get confused It is not intelligence that matters most

What guides you: the character, the heart, the qualities

Positive and progressive ideas. - Fyodor Dostoyevsky -

Many have the tendency to "box" and continue

Doing things in such a way because "always the

We have done so. " 6. NEVER TAKE A BAD DECISION AFTER

OF A BAD THROW Too often we all make a

"Bad shot" (eg, making a mistake or manipulating the truth).

Then we aggravate that "bad shot" by denying it, defending it,

Lie or rationalize it instead of thinking quietly,

Recognize the error and fix it in a logical and sincere manner.

7. THE GOSSIP IS HIGHLY DESTRUCTIVE Gossip always damages relationships, in

Particularly with the person you are gossiping about. For example,

Once you've said something cruel to someone, you feel

Uncomfortable around you and your relationship with that person

Will suffer. 8. WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY

Mountain peaks inspire leaders, but the

Valleys make them mature. - J. Philip Everson -

9. TO WHERE WILL TIDES ARRIVE? Success is not measured by what an individual achieves

But because of the opposition it has faced and the

Value with which it has maintained the struggle against overwhelming inequalities.

- Orrison Swett Marden - You can not develop your full potential without

Face serious setbacks along the way.

Individuals grow stronger, mentally and spiritually.

When they are "tested" with resistance or opposition.

10. OVERCOMING THE FEAR "It is easy to be brave when you are not

scared". Similarly, it is easy to talk about how to overcome the

Fear when you have little to fear. Fear is real

For most people and somehow we all have

Afraid of something. 11. THE WAY TO GREATNESS

Joe Sabah says that you should not be great to start

But you must start to be great. If you have a great ambition, go the extra step

Big you can to reach. Do not worry if that

Step is small, as long as it is the longest

That you can give for now. (Mildred Mcafee)

12. IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM AND THEN SOLUTION THEN Success in life comes when we learn

To handle these personal and business problems with

The least ostentation possible.

13. HOPE IN THE FUTURE Things are the best for those who do

The best to make things come out the best.

Dr. John Maxwell says that if there is hope in the

Future, there is power in the present. The reason is simple: The

Hope in the future has a dramatic influence on

Your current thinking. This determines your performance, and you

Today's performance is related to your future.

Dr. Tony Campolo says your past is important

Because it brought you to where you are. But important

Whatever, it's not as important as the way you look

Your future. John Johnson says that men and women

Are not limited by where they were born or

By the color of his skin but by the magnitude of his hope.

14. THE "BASE" OF YOUR ATTITUDE Admitting an error is a beginning; Fix it

It is a step forward; To continue is success.

15. CONCERNING YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES We can not become what we need

Be if we remain as we are.

Drucker said: "Leadership is lifting the vision of a person

Higher prospects, raise the yield of

Someone at higher levels and build a personality more

Beyond its normal limitations. 16. EMBRACING THE RESPONSE

Watch your thoughts, these become words.

Watch your words, these become actions. Watches

Your actions, these become character. Watch your character, this becomes

your destiny. 17. SEEK MUTUAL BENEFIT SOLUTIONS

A winner is so big that he admits his mistakes, so

Intelligent that makes them profit and so firm that corrects them.

18. A PHILOSOPHY FOR LIFE Successful people tell others how to

Climb, not where to go down.

Remember, happiness does not depend on who you are or what you

do you have. It depends only on what you think. -Dale Carnegie-

Understand that no one who is someone to anyone can be

someone. 19. IN THE MIDDLE OF SMOKE

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker.

Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary diversion, not

A cul-de-sac. -John Maxwell- 21. TRY IT, YOU CAN

Everyone only listens to what they understand. -Goethe-

Many of us have talents that we have never had

Because we have not "tried" to do something

specific. Tip: The next time someone

Ask to do something that you have never done before, do not respond automatically

"do not". Think about it. Maybe you could try. Who knows?

Maybe you have talents that you have never recognized. 22. THAT FIRST PRINTING

He who gains a victory over other men is

Strong, but whoever gets a victory over himself is

almighty. -Lao-Tzu-23. PERSISTENCE AND GOOD HEART = SUCCESS

Triumph and defeat are not in the clamor of the crowded street

Nor in the shouts and cheers of the crowd, but in

ourselves. -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow- You're not finished when they defeat you, but

When you give up

24. WHY ARE YOU WHERE YOU ARE Human destiny is decided by choice,

Not luck. Thomas Sikking: "You are not the product of

A broken home, a devastated economy, a world in

Time of war, a minority, a family of

Drunk or from a neighborhood sunk in poverty. You are

The product of your thought process, and anything that

Think today is the foundation of your future. "

If someone mistreated you in the past, it's okay to give credit

To that person for having spoiled the past, but not

Give him permission to ruin your present and your future.

Master your thoughts and your future. Decide that you will have

A better tomorrow. 25. LISTEN TO THE ADVERSARY

When a man does not listen to his conscience, usually

Is because he does not like the advice of a stranger.

26. GIVE ON THE WHITE IS "POSSIBLE" Those who have earned the right to boast

They do not have to.

27. MOST MEN DO NOT UNDERSTAND What will change your position is not your position

In life but the disposition that you have.-Dr. David Mickingley-

28. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION It's not what you know or know.

What you are is what really matters. 29. DO NOT ALWAYS TAKE IT TO THE FOOT OF THE LETTER

Have a little fun in your daily life. Take some things from

Literal way and acts accordingly; The laughter you will draw

Experience will brighten your day and will also help

Another person to feel happier. 30. POSITIVE TRIVIALITIES

Character is the result of thousands of small daily struggles

To live according to the best in us.

Whoever acquires knowledge and does not put them into

Practice is like plowing a field and not sowing.

Most of what happens to you is your fault.

We are all molded by what others expect from

US. We live above or below what others

Believe in us and what we can do. Actually,

What other people think of us is often more

Important and influential that what we think of us

Themselves. Therefore, we must be careful with

Our partners because they influence in many ways

In what we do with our lives. You have to believe before you can achieve.

31. THIS IS TRUE LEADERSHIP Be generous. Give charity to all men;

Respect yourself; To a friend, give your heart; to

Your father, gives deference; Give your child a good example;

To a personal enemy, forgive him; Behave with your mother

So that you feel proud of yourself.

32. BE SOMEONE EXCLUSIVE Enthusiasm is priceless when you inspire it

Reason, is controlled by prudence, his theory is solid,

Its application is practical, reflects confidence, propagates joy

Healthy, builds morale, encourages peers, produces

Loyalty and laughs at adversity.-Coleman Cox-.

33. GO TO TRIUMPH If you do not feel good about yourself, you will have

A limited capacity to believe in others.

34. GROWING OR PUSHING The ego is our silent partner, very

Often with dominant interest.

Keep growing. Do not start to swell. SELF-EGOISM means "Immoderate self-love

Same, that makes think only in the personal interest "

35. ECONOMIC NEEDS AND CRIME Character is not made in a crisis alone

Is manifested in it.

"Everyone has the right to comment, but no one has

Right to do the bad. "Tightening the economic belt is many

Times an edifying experience that teaches us

More aware of the so-called "needs

Of life ", so that we leave with more strength of the

Economic challenges and better prepared to build a future

More prosperous. 36. HOW TO TREAT THE DISILLUSIONS

Do not let the mistakes and disappointments of the

Past direct and control your future. Life is like a game of tennis. Who better?

Serving rarely misses.

37. THIS IS IMPORTANT We often hear, "I'm a self-taught."

Consequently, we have never heard "I am self-failing."

38. PERSONALITY OR CHARACTER? Reputation is what people think of you.

Personality is what you seem to be. Character is what really

you are. The development of the personality has to

See with learning new conversation skills,

Styles and eloquence skills development.

Character development is deeper, rather

More difficult and often requires changes that are at least

Temporarily uncomfortable and demanding. Character development is the best indication

Of maturity. 39. SEE THINGS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW

OF THE NEIGHBOR It is not uncommon for us to understand with ease

The feelings of the other person when we get to know them.

The message is clear: Do not judge. Put in the

Position of the other person and try to think as she thinks

Or feeling like she feels.

40. HOW TO MANAGE THE CRITICISES No one appreciates so much the value of criticism

Constructive as the one doing it.

41. MEMORY IS IMPORTANT I know as a draft: acknowledge your mistakes,

Learn from them and then remove them from your memory.

42. CLASS Some people leave their footprints in the sand

Of the time, but others only leave the mark of a heel.

A person with class is an individual of integrity, someone

Who would you love to have as a parent or child, my friend?

Or neighbor, mentor or counselor. In short, the class was

Identifies with someone who is "excellent" who runs the extra mile to be

Kind to those who serve him politely. "Class is something you choose for yourself.

It is to compete honestly, to face the problems, to receive

Praise with gratitude and humility, and do not beat your competitors.

If you have class you are loyal both to yourself and to

Those around you. Class is born of self-respect and

Healthy respect for others. Not everything can always be achieved in

this world. Fortunately, the class does. " 43. CHALLENGE OR PARALYSIS?

Let us not mourn what we have lost; Let's get happy

Of what we still have. Consciousness is what hurts, when all

Others feel very good.

44. HOPE: THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS SUCCESS Nobody demands too much explanation for a job

well done. A seller who went to Africa to sell shoes

And informed his company that it was impossible to sell shoes

There because they were all barefoot. The one who replaced him

Reported that it was the most extraordinary market

Seen, since no one wore shoes. A seller had

Hope, the other does not. Without hope there is no effort.

45. WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS? Someone once said that if you treat a person

As it is, you make it worse than it was. But if you treat her

As the person who can become, you will make of him the

Best individual possible.

46. THE GREAT DOES NOT BEGIN WITH GREATNESS Some great people make others

Feel small, but who really are big

Make everyone feel great.

47. AN ETERNAL TRUTH One of the most beautiful compensations of

This life is that no one can sincerely try to help

To another without helping himself.

48. FAILURE, SIT NOW Most parents are experiencing

Joy of seeing their children turn around, then crawl,

Then stand up and take their first steps.

They extend their hands to encourage the child to give two

Or three steps towards them. The possibilities are one in

Three trillion that when the child falls the father says:

"You see, you had your chance and you lost it! You will not return

To try to walk again! "That is absurd; Nevertheless,

Is it not equally absurd to think that we can achieve success

Important in our lives without experiencing any

Kind of setback? We must all remember that failure is a

Event, not a person, and that success is a process

And not just a momentary fact. Few triumph from the night to

the morning. On the contrary, it takes time to succeed.

We must remember that the winners are individuals who are

Have risen more times than they have fallen. 49. WE ARE EMOTIONAL

Most people take pride in taking

Logical decisions, but research shows that

Conclusively that we mainly make emotional decisions because

Deep we are emotional beings.

50. Give of what you have There is only one way to succeed in something: give it

all. - Vince Lombardi -

51. ADDING TO WORK OR MAXIMUM WORKERS? Hardworking workers work hard because

They love what they do. They work with intelligence, they love

Their jobs in addition to the benefits and services they

These give them. They also love to supply adequately

The needs of their families.

The evidence that loving what you do is irrefutable.

People for whom you do it is healthier, more productive

And even more economically profitable than working

Out of fear or avarice. Working overtime for love is very

Healthy, to a point. 52. THE SCHOOL VS. COMPLETE EDUCATION

An old saying says that when you finish school you will

Education ends. This is simply not true.

You never finish school and it's rarely easy, but always

It is important. 53. THE RESPONSIBILITY IS YOURSELF

Abraham Lincoln said, "You can not escape the

Responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today. " 54. LAUGHING IS A GOOD MEDICINE

"You can not laugh and be angry or you can laugh and be

Worried, because stress, worry and laughter did not

they are compatible. Laughter is low in calories and has no caffeine,

Sodium, preservatives or additives; Is 100% natural and

There is only one size for everyone.

55. LEAVE SOMETHING BEYOND YOU Responsibility demands that we pay our

Our own way and leave something for those who will follow us.

56. BEWARE OF WHAT YOU LEAVE The measure of a life, after all, does not

Is its duration but its donation.- Corrie Ten Boom -

It has generally been recognized as true that

We will keep our first impression for a long time

Of someone and that we maintain almost the same time

Last impression we have of that person. 57. TEAMWORK

Most people behind the scenes do not

They get publicity, but they make things happen.

58. THE EXCUSES WE GIVE An excuse is nothing more than a refusal to accept

The responsability.

George Washington Carver said that 99% of failures are

Of people who have a habit of making excuses.

In the long run the excuses are expensive because they do not allow us

Face the truth about ourselves. They prevent us

Act and correct our mistakes, eliminate our

Weaknesses, develop our talents and improve our

character". 59. THE ATTITUDE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT

What you give to another belongs to you in some way

always. "To feel gratitude, but not express it specifically,

It's like wrapping a present but not delivering it. "

60. THE CHARACTER MAKES THE DIFFERENCE Most people fail more due

To their defects of character than for any other reason.

Apartment Hunting in Hanoi, Vietnam 2017 | LIFE IN VIETNAM - Duration: 10:11.

Hey what's up guys?

I'm lakeside here, this is just a one minute walk away from my new apartment.

I never imagined living so close to a lake in Vietnam, I think this is the biggest lake

in Hanoi.

There's just a lot of people, there's nice park space.

And, you know, families are out there.

There's people exercising, there's lots of free exercise machines, just like Korea.

So you get a lot of the old people and stuff, doing light workouts and stuff.

Working the ellipticals and other kinds of stretches.

It's really good to see this.

I like this environment and I like that it's right by my new apartment.

So speaking of new apartment, this is the apartment hunting video in Hanoi.

In Hanoi, just like anywhere else, it depends on what you're looking for in terms of housing.

You know, if you're looking for like a two bedroom, if you're looking for a studio, if

you're looking for roommates.

Those are all going to be factors that go into finding your place, right?

So just like anywhere else in the world, Hanoi has its very low range, and very high range.

If you want to spend a couple grand for an apartment per month, or if you want to spend

just a couple hundred bucks.

So those options do exist.

While looking for apartments, there's several ways you could do it.

You could call a real estate agent, themselves, you can go online, I went through the "Hanoi

Massive Housing" Facebook group.

It's a really great place where you can find posting on all types of units, for rent, or

for sale.

Short term, long term, it's all listed there.

So initially I was looking for a room in a shared apartment ranging between $170 to $250

and hopefully one of those rooms would have an "ensuite bathroom" meaning that the bathroom

is inside the room, not outside of the room.

And also a private balcony.

I wanted some natural lighting and if possible a balcony space where I could look up some

emails and stuff like that.

Drink a cup of coffee in the morning and just chill on my own balcony.

So the first apartment, I was taken to this place that has actual slum surroundings, there's

like a sewage stream and it had like styrofoam and all this other trash in it.

Not the first thing that I want to see when I'm coming, literally, to the first apartment

in Hanoi.

We go in this very nice big first floor but also in the kitchen we turn on the lights

and there were all these rats.

It was pretty gross.

So it's dark, he turns the light on, and I hear all this noise, like what the hell is

happening?

And all the pots and pans in the sink and stuff are moving around and then like 3 rats

go jumping out the window.

That was totally unexpected and so on top of the slum stuff, plus the rats, that's definitely

not something you want to see while house hunting.

So immediately, those two things, without even seeing the room, I was just like nope,

off the list.

But just to show you guys what the rooms do look like.

There was a room, it had barely any light.

The balcony was kind of big but it faced the back of the building and so there was like

no view.

It's kind of strange to go sit out there in the morning and have a cup of coffee.

And the bathroom was shared with one person that lives on the same floor.

And that bathroom was dark and damp.

So it did not meet any of the requirements that I was hoping for, except that it was

a shared apartment, in the budget range.

Apartment 2 was in a little bit more of an actual residential area, which is great, it's

what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, the room was still occupied, the tenants weren't going to leave for another

week or two.

So that was like a really big downside.

The balcony was very tiny, and the bathroom wasn't in the room like I was hoping for.

It was across the hallway, and that also had like no natural light, it was very dark and

damp and moldy smelling.

That one was $250 per month for that unit.

The 3rd place I was looking at was $250 a month, and it had a really big room.

It had a big room with natural lighting, enough space in there for a desk and a refrigerator,

and a queen sized bed, plus like a living room, you know?

You could walk around in it and not feel like you're trapped in a box.

It did come with a small balcony, enough that you could potentially maybe put a chair out

there and a small table.

I don't know.

So this room was also occupied, and they also had the cutest puppy, that puppy was so playful.

Omg, I love dogs!

So the room itself was fine, but it seems like the shared kitchen situation just wasn't

happening.

It was really dirty, there was trash everywhere, people were mainly using the kitchen on the

4th floor on the top.

Instead of the one on the 1st floor, where the motorcycles are.

I don't know why, but anyway, both were a little bit dirty.

The unit after that was also $250 for a room in a shared apartment, it was actually next

door to the first unit that I was shown this day.

And the balcony was really small, there was only standing space, and the room was still

occupied.

It did have an ensuite bathroom, but it was kind of dark and no lighting or anything like

that.

And the room itself smelled a little bit funky, but I guess that's because it was still occupied

by the tenants who were going to leave later on that week.

So it finally came down to my 3rd day of apartment hunting, and I figured I'm looking at all

these rooms in shared apartments, between $170~$250 a month.

Maybe I'm not seeing what I'm hoping for because of the price range.

So even if I go up just a little bit and try to get some of those creature comforts that

I enjoy, such as a clean kitchen, private bathroom.

So I decided why not go for a studio, that way I don't have to worry about roommates

or anything like that.

So day 3, I checked out this studio apartment for $350 a month.

So this place had a kitchen, and a bedroom, and a patio space.

The shower was a little weird, it was this like Italian imported shower jacuzzi massage

thing, which seemed really out of place for the type of apartment it was.

There was also no air conditioning, but they did promise to me that they could have it

installed before I move in.

Yeah, this place was really like run down, it's definitely seen better days.

The ceiling panels were somehow not all the way fitted properly, so there's all these

major gaps connecting the attic to the rooms.

So you know, like roaches and centipedes and all that other stuff, could easily just come

through that stuff right into your room.

There's no sealed factor to the apartment.

The patio space was really nice, it's outdoors, up on the 2nd floor and it overlooks a nice

local street.

You get to see all the local people eating and drinking, and stuff like that.

So nightlife seems like fun, but I don't know exactly how loud it would be every night,

going into the evening when people are eating and drinking.

I don't know if it would be like Korea, where people would be out until like 2 in the morning,

or later, drunk and causing a loud ruckus in the neighborhood.

I don't know what that would be like.

There were 2 deciding factors that made me really cringe and say no to this place was

1) the bathroom.

The bathroom is not actually in the unit, you go downstairs to the 2nd level.

There's actually a boutique shop there, someone opened up like selling boutique clothing.

And outside of their shop is the bathroom, it's the toilet, and you need a key to get

in.

It's almost like a public bathroom, it seems like.

The other factor that made me decide no on that place was the fact that it was built

on top of a restaurant.

So you have to physically walk through the restaurant customers to get to the stairwell

that goes up to the place.

When I was doing that, coming in, there was all these upside cockroaches, like really

big ones.

And that makes sense, cockroaches are going to be anywhere there's a restaurant, it doesn't

matter how fancy your restaurant is, there's going to be roaches in any food establishment.

Finally, I get to check out this awesome space.

Checked out this studio apartment for $350 a month, it had a really nice open space,

everything seemed nice and new.

There was lots of natural light, and that's really something I wanted.

It had it's own kitchen space with actual granite countertop.

It's away from the road, the main road, so it's really quiet.

It's fully furnished and comes with this sofa and a nice queeen sized bed.

Unforunately it doesn't have any balcony, but you don't really need a balcony when you're

in Vietnam, you could just go to the roof if you absolutely need to.

And there was a nice chill space up there.

The laundry machine and the dryer are shared, and the roof top space is shared, but that's

it.

Everything else is all your own.

The only downside to this unit was behind the building there's all this construction

going on.

So there actually was this sewage canal that was there but the city has been trying to

get rid of these places over time, and so right now they're dredging out all that sewer

canal and they're implanting an actual proper sewerage system with pipes and stuff.

And they're going to lay cement and dirt over it, and they're going to make like a mini

backalley road behind there.

So eventually, there will be some mopeds and stuff going back and forth, but it shouldn't

be loud because it's not the main road, it's just a backalley road.

So it'll just be locals driving by and I don't mind that.

So what do you guys think I chose?

Yeah, I chose the studio apartment with the construction behind it.

It seemed the best bang for my buck, $350 a month.

So stay tuned, I'll give a proper apartment tour, full on apartment tour in detail in

another video.

So stay tuned for that.

Thanks for watching guys, I really hope you enjoyed this video, I hope it gave some insights

into apartment hunting here.

It's very easy.

There's tons of places.

You just got to come out, go for it, and you'll find your place real soon.

It took me 3 days to find an apartment here after arriving.

See you guys in the next video!

Bye!

it is a hot day

and kitty and I are both

very very lethargic

so on Wednesday and yesterday I went to the BSAD degree show

which is the Bath School of Art and Design degree show

which is held at Sion Hill, which is a campus

I'd never been to before

it was very good

I enjoyed it a lot

made me remember how much I really like

going to galleries and stuff

there were two videos there that were part of like

the photography exhibit I think

by a guy called Jake Samuel Ogden

and they were called 6ft

and You Can't Enjoy Your Shed Forever

and like 6ft was

of like photos of vans and their owners

with like a voiceover, conversation of said owners

talking about their vans like how they like

living in them and doing them up

and having them on their drives or driving them around

and like the amenities that they like installing

and all that sort of stuff

and You Can't Enjoy Your Shed Forever was about

I think two couples

who had retired pretty young

and were now like finding things to fill their time

it made me uncomfortable watching it

all of these people were pretty wealthy

definitely what you would call middle-class

like Guardian-reading

die-hard liberal sort of people

and it made me kind of uncomfortable watching it

because like I know those sort of people

I am one of those people in the making

for sure [laughs]

so like, on one level I totally understood them

but on another

watching it made me feel

in parts, really angry

because of how much money they had

and how they were spending it

pretty much all on themselves and on their absurd vanity projects

like having a shed

a fancy shed, or like a fancy van

two of them said how it was nice to have more time

for volunteering, but there wasn't any footage of that

and there was a lot of footage of them

like, shopping, and enjoying their fancy things

and like, I felt this anger particularly strongly

in light of the main news story this week

which is of the Grenfell Tower fire

and y'know, that's a situation where people have died

where poor people have died because

they were seen as basically unworthy

of having basic safety

because they were poor

I mean I think that's basically what it's come down to

isn't it?

and the people in Ogden's videos weren't like, bad people

they're not the sort of assholes who believe that like

the poor deserve to be poor

and that y'know, if you're poor it's your fault

and you just have to work harder to get what you deserve

they probably donate to charities and they volunteer

like they said but it was still

it still made me angry seeing everything that they had

compared to everything that

y'know, other people don't have

which is obviously hugely hypocritical because

look at my life, am I right?

I am one of the young people, rare young people

lucky enough to own the flat that I live in

and I have parents who I can rely on for financial

help, if I need it

and I have, y'know

grandparents who have left me money

like, a lot of money

and it's not because I've worked hard for it

like, I've worked, but it's not like I've been

breaking my back over here

y'know, I have, I have gone for long stretches of

of time unemployed and I haven't needed to claim benefits

because I've had savings to fall back on

and like y'know, I get anxious about money

but it's not like

I've never been down to the last few pennies in my account

y'know? which is y'know something that loads of other

people do experience and they don't have help to fall back on

and the government sure as hell doesn't help

the way that they should

and like

it's unfair

relating to the title, I don't deserve this

I haven't done anything much to earn it

which has made me think of like Peter Singer's assertion

that morally speaking, you should only buy what

you need and then you should give the rest away

to people who don't have what they need

but then this ties into like

what is need, what do you need

what counts as things that you need?

because people need more than the bare minimum

this is where it ties into people who get shitty about

people who buy nice things when they

are having a hard time making rent

or y'know about prisoners getting TV's in their cells

you need more than the bare minimum

you need bread and roses

you can exist on bread but you need the roses

to give you something to exist for

that's a reference to a song

[laughs]

um, it's a good song

I will link a version of it below

and y'know, as a human being

I deserve more than the bare minimum

but the difference is, I can afford to give myself

more than the bare minimum, which not everyone can do

and like there's a point

where taking care of yourself and putting yourself first

becomes a justification for ignoring othes

so there's, there's an article that I read recently

by a journalist who went to the Goop festival

I think is what it's called?

Goop, if you don't know is Gwyneth Paltrow's

absurd magazine lifestyle brand thing

where she sells crap like

like $70 ice cream scoops

and $800+ dollar sex toys

but this journalist wrote this

"I hear that idea repeated over and over again at

the Goop conference - take care of yourselves

so that you can take care of others

put your mask on first

hold space for yourself

be entitled

take

at a certain point it begins to feel less like self care

and more like rationalisation

I don't know anything about the personal lives of

the women at In Goop Health

who they give money to, what hardships they've endured

why they were drawn to this event

and every person I interact with is funny and smart and kind and self-aware

but it is self-evident and measurable that white people

in the US, in general, are assiduous about the first part

of that equation - caring for ourselves

and less than attentive to the second - caring for others"

and like obviously I'm not buying $800 sex toys

[laughs]

but

it's still like, a line to be aware of

at what point does self-care slide into selfishness?

at what point does need become want?

and like this is complicated further by the issue of

spending money on things you don't need is bad

but supporting creators is goood

like I went to see the Addams Family Musical this week

which was fantastic, I loved it, I enjoyed it

I had a great time and I was supporting

a medium that I absolutely adore

but I didn't NEED to spend that money, y'know?

it's a real mess, complicated again - don't you love this

by the fact that most people have like charity fatigue

like there's a real low in the faith in charities these days

because it's

it's understandably hard to y'know give money to charities

and feel like it's not making any real difference

and obviously it's better to give than to withhold

because then at least you're making some difference

and like what point are you making by withholding

when you could give, that's just a dick move

but it's still infuriating to give food every week to a foodbank

and know that people are still gonna go hungry

because they can't afford to eat

because wages are at an all-time low

and rents are at an all-time high

it's infuriating to know that

famines are going to occur no matter how much money

you give to a charity that's trying to give food to people

because

this country that the famine is occurring in

has had y'know a rotation of militias taking over the government

to sell a product that they have, to sell a resource

to governments from wealthier countries

who are going to buy no matter what

because they want that product

and they don't care what atrocities the militias

and their governments have y'know

committed to get into power and sell it

it's very frustrating, understandably

things are rough all over, as they say

but when you're feeling despair at the state of the world

and you're feeling like

your relative powerlessness

it's, it's good, I think, to

take a step back

for a second, and

eat something nice, and listen to some good musuc

and enjoy the lovely weather

if your weather is as good as it is here anyway

and y'know take a moment to just enjoy what you have

shout out to Lorde and bakewell tarts

for keeping me alive in this moment

so yeah, how do you guys deal with that conflict

if you deal with that conflict at all

if you think of it, because like it's another whole issue

to actually confront that in your life

whoof, this was a heavy video

for a hot summer day

I'm gonna go

and I'll see you next time

bye!

Cinnamoroll Café in Kyoto | シナモロールカフェ ! - Duration: 3:22.

Hey guys!

Today I'm going into Kyoto to go to a Cinnamoroll café, and Kyoto is kinda far to go for a

themed café, but 1) I'm wild about themed cafés, and 2) Cinnamoroll is like my favourite

Sanrio character, so I have to go.

Of course we are meeting Leina there, so let's go and see some Cinnamoroll food.

We made it to the café and everything is so cute on this menu!

Oh my god, I can't wait for you guys to see.

Have a look at this menu!

We just finished our food and it was really really amazing.

It's quite an expensive café, but the food was definitely definitely worth it, and the

whole theming, I don't know, you've probably seen some of it, the whole theming of the

place is really really cute.

Everything tasted delicious and was exactly like it looked in the pictures.

So I hope that you've seen some cute footage so far, and I will talk to you next time.

Peace!

Dive Conditions Report For Caloundra 21 June 2017 Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia #ScubaDive - Duration: 3:00.

Hey people are the interwebs it is Q bringing you your dive conditions midweek

report. At the Caloundra coastguard jetty we're on an outbound tide at the moment,

on a beautiful winter's day in southeast Queensland. Taking a look at the

Pumicestone water, it is still very dirty so regardless of what the tide times are

this weekend, there's no chance of getting a drift dive in The Pumicestone

Passage, because the visibility simply is not there. Overlooking Kings Beach, it

would be an understatement to say that the conditions are disappointing. Very

very rough surface and large waves breaking onto the beach and absolutely

zero visibility. In fact there's a dirty water mark out to beyond the shark net

bouys, so no chance of this cleaning up by the time the weekend rolls around.

It's not looking good as I look down onto Kings Beach. Down on Kings Beach boat

ramp, again confirmation of zero visibility in the water. We're currently

experiencing a moderate wind from the south, but that is going to drop to light

by the time the weekend comes around. There will be some cloud for the rest of

the week, but mostly sunny on Saturday and Sunday. It's a similar story at

Shelly Beach, big waves rolling constantly onto the shoreline and dirty

water with zero visibility out for maybe 500 meters. Even with the favorable

weather conditions that are forecast, I can't see this clearing up in time for

the weekend whatsoever. From the bird's eye view down onto The Keyhole dive site,

I can see the extent of how far out that dirty water really reaches, I'm

estimating again about 500 meters offshore for that dirty brown water. Zero

visibility as I look onto The Keyhole dive site. Once again at Moffat Beach,

the surfers are having a great day of it, some really nice waves coming in with

the southerly wind direction, but unfortunately again zero visibility here

and the surface conditions again not conducive to going diving at all.

Your tide times for this weekend, Saturday we have a high at 7:54 am and a

low at 1:59 pm. Sunday we have a high at 8:46 am and a low at 2:47 pm and the

swell for both Saturday and Sunday is expected to be below 1 meter. So in

summary, again I'm sad to say there is zero chance of a Caloundra based shore

dive this coming weekend, there's zero visibility all around the coastal dive

spots. If you found this dive conditions midweek report with Q helpful, please

leave a thumbs up down below, it really helps me out and subscribe to the

YouTube channel to see future videos. Thanks for watching and take it easy.

[CC] Ahn Hyeongseob clarification for his Meringue Time video - Duration: 2:26.

Hello, I'm Yuehua's Ahn Hyeongseob

*relax,relax....*

*still not enough eggs*

Do you have anything you want to say?

Do you want to clarify anything from Produce 101?

Clarify...

To be honest,

I didn't know what meringue was

really

I dont like ramen that much

Yes right you don't like noodles

I don't even eat cup noodles at convenience store

You don't even like jajangmyeon too

So I don't eat eggs that much

I only eat boiled eggs at sauna

I have only cracked raw eggs at my home economic class (a class where you learn coursework, etc)

The whites and the yolks,

I've never separated them before, really.

But that doesn't mean I don't help out at home

so it was my first time I heard the word meringue

and the first time making it too

I had to separate the yolks and white,, so it was hard

I have a question

Were you hungry at that time?

*HAHAHAHAHA*

I'm joking

Don't be mad

Wearable Baddie Makeup [Eng sub] แต่งหน้าแซ่บเบาๆ ลุคสาวผิวแทนแฟนฝรั่ง I จับเพื่อนมาแปลงร่าง 5 - Duration: 5:14.

Today we're doing a wearable baddie makeup look.

Let's begin with the no-makeup Avatar face

I'm gonna apply this L'oreal foundation all over her face

Although our model, Namfon, looks tan already

I'm using 1-2 shade darker foundation to enhance her tan even more

Being tanned is in now

Conceal her panda eyes with the Maybelline concealer

and blend it with a damped sponge

Lightly set under eye and T-zone using Maybelline's matte powder

Next I'm filling in the brows following her natural shape

The bear in the mirror is so creepy

Apply bronzer all over the eyelid

Drag it down to the side of her nose as well

Oh her lip shape is very pretty

like doll lips

like hemorrhoid shape. Just Kidding.

This lip shape was on trend in the past (in Thailand)

Apply double eyelid tape to fix her sexy hooded eyes

Coat her brows with mascara to create texture

For the eyes, I'm using this cute Beauty and The Beast palette today.

I'm applying this brownish pink color to the crease

and along the bottom lash line.

Apply the shimmery peachy pink color on the center of her lid

Go in with the blackest eyeliner across the lash line

and draw a wing upward just like Mulan's eyes

Next I'm using brown liner under the lash line.

This tutorial is very easy.

I'm gonna use this nude pencil on the waterline to make her eyes appear bigger

Highlight the inner corners

Apply false lashes and mascara

Brush it upward, so the natural lashes stick to the falsies

For blush, I'm using this soft pink blush from Mac on her cheeks and temples

She has high cheekbones already, so I'm not gonna contour today

Highlight on top of the cheekbones

This lipstick from Mac is perfect for this look

It goes well with the eyes and cheeks

If Farang see her, they'll be like OMG

Finish off with the setting spray.

Lee Brice "Boy" Cover - Coby Chock - Duration: 3:36.

Boy, you gonna know it all You'll think you're ten feet tall

And run like you're bulletproof And total a car or two

Boy, you gonna hate this town I wish you could burn it down

That fire in your eyes is twenty counties wide

But boy, you gonna love seventeen And boy, you'll do some stupid things

You gonna drive and kiss and throw a punch And grow up way too fast

You gonna drop the ball, hit the wall And break some hearts like glass

I know you will 'Cause you're a part of me

And a part of you Will always be a...

Boy, you gonna be so stubborn You get that from your mother

I already see it now, you weren't built for backing down

And boy, there'll be a small town night And you'll fall for her sky-blue eyes

And when she's in your hands You'll think you're a man and not a boy

She'll make you lose your mind, boy She'll be every reason why

You gonna drive and kiss and throw a punch And grow up way too fast

You gonna drop the ball, hit the wall And break some hearts like glass

I know you will 'Cause you're a part of me

And a part of you Will always be my boy

It's 3 AM and I'd do anything to get you back to sleep

And that face will be the same one in the rearview

The day I watch you leave

But boy, you gonna come back home You gonna settle down

But you won't feel the way I'm feelin' now Until you have a boy

He's gonna know it all He'll think he's ten feet tall

And run like he's bulletproof And total a car or two

Algo más porque sonreír por Zig Ziglar - Duration: 20:06.

31. THIS IS TRUE LEADERSHIP Be generous. Give charity to all men;

Respect yourself; To a friend, give your heart; to

Your father, gives deference; Give your child a good example;

To their defects of character than for any other reason.
