"I just see beautiful things and I want to make more beautiful things" - Duration: 2:41.

We started A.N.D. about 5 years ago.

Me as a volunteer.

So I'm the design partner.

We're a small fairtrade partnership and we started really to support disabled artisan.

And disabled artisan make all our bags, clutches, all the wood carving and that's all done by

a team of young men in wheelchairs with polio, mostly polio and some speech and hearing difficulties.

The bags are all made by various, mostly polio disabled or landmine disabled artisan.

The main fabric we use is our handweaves.

We have three or four weavers now that do different kinds of silk, tie dye or ikat or plain silks.

The weaving comes from farming families who do weaving as a supplementary income.

We don't have workshops, we don't have factories.

They're scattered all over three or four provinces and they work not in the house, under the

house where they have the big loom in the shadow of the house under the stilted house.

That's where all the weaving comes from.

We do a lot of clothes.

We have a full time team of lady and gentlemen sewers.

They are mostly village tailors who come in to Phnom Penh for a better job and a better wage.

All our staff can have free accommodation.

Shop staff and sewing staff.

So they have safe accommodation in central Phnom Penh and we do full health insurance,

maternity leave.

We want them to stay with us so hopefully that's kind of what we do.

We don't have photographs of disabled artisan.

Some shops do that and I've been asked why we don't have people.

You know, we're a fashion store to be honest.

And if people want the story we put a leaflet in with every purchase, the story's on there.

And they can talk to us you know.

Number one is they like the stuff, number two is the story.

To me.

Our customers come from everywhere, they can buy a Prada bag, they can buy a Chanel bag,

they can buy a GAP bag or whatever they want.

But they've got to come in and say, "Wow, that's quite a nice bag."

We're not doing sympathy buys here.

We're doing buys because we're a design led fair trade partnership.

So I don't have a great philosophy, I'm not very analytical about what I do at all.

I just see beautiful things and I want to make more beautiful things.

It makes sense to me, you know.

And along the way we have people who are charming to work with, fun, great sense of humour and

they're doing nice things.

There's not more you can really ask, really.

Today is a Buddha day.

Buddha days are very good because we get fruit and we do light the incense and everything.

Every shop has a little alter.

We're in a Buddhist country.

And then we get to eat the fruit afterwards.

So it's a win, win situation.

The Buddha gets a choice.

If he wants a banana he has to be quick I can tell you.

Nothing's wasted here.

Buddha's quite good to us actually.

Every time we open a new shop we have like a big blessing.

They're throwing water everywhere.

So we have monks come in and it's a lovely occasion.

And we're scattering lotus petals, it's all very romantic.

We have a very good relationship with the local temple just across the road.

I mean, not just across the road that's an apartment block.

We have a sort of contract, a loose contract with a monk to come and do the blessing and

make sure they do it, and make sure it's blessed so we sell things actually.

I would regret not spending time with them.

So I actually do make time for that.

How to Read 5 Books in a Week | Read Books Faster - Duration: 4:00.

At times I have been asked by few of my viewers about how I manage to read so many books in

a short span of time.

Not only people ask this on YouTube but on other social platforms as well like Quora,

Facebook etc.

So, I am making this quick video explaining what exactly I follow to read books faster.

Now when I say faster, I don�t compromise on productivity or efficiency.

And hey, this method is only for selfhelp, motivational or inspirational books.

You certainly don�t wanna follow this rule when you are reading a fantasy, love story

or a fictional book.

So without any further delay, let�s get to that secret trick.

So basically what I do is I listen to the audio book at twice the speed while I look

at the book and follow along.

There are so many great things about that.

First of all, it combines two senses, seeing and hearing so you basically end up with really

good comprehension while being really efficient at the same time.

It�s just like the video you are watching right now.

It wouldn�t be as effective if you were just listening or just seeing it but when

these two senses are combined, it does magic for comprehension.

Another benefit is that you tend to get the flow of the language and you improve on your

listening and speaking skills.

You can take me as an example.

You can go ahead and watch my first few videos I posted on my channel and watch this video

just after that.

You will instantly notice the difference in the way I used to speak and the way I speak

now.

Not that I speak awesome now but I certainly have come a long way from the day I posted

my first video 4 months back.

Moreover, you get really efficient in listening while you are in a classroom, in a meeting

or a seminar.

You will be able to follow the speaker even if he/she is speaking fast.

Another possibly more important benefit is that it keeps you in a straight line and it

keeps you going.

So, you are not going back and re-reading things, you are not taking all kinds of unnecessary

breaks or pauses, your eyes aren�t running around all the time and you certainly are

not getting distracted every 2 minutes.

So guys, I am pretty sure I have tried almost everything on this.

I have tried just the audio books, or actual books and many other tricks but this technique

is what worked best for me.

You can take a book like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective people and can finish it like in

4 hours.

You can take a book like Rich Dad Poor Dad and can finish it literally in just 2 hours.

You can basically finish most of the books in 5 hours unless you are reading a book with

over 600 pages.

Now lemme just address one more thing.

Every time I talk about efficiency while reading, some people always point out that you shouldn�t

be rushing when you read, you should just enjoy the book.

And I actually agree to that because I know how good it feels to read a book, sitting

on your couch on a Sunday morning with a coffee mug in your hand, just to relax.

I absolutely love that feeling but at the same time I don�t just read for pleasure.

In fact, most of the time I read for the sole purpose of improving my life and the more

I read the better my life gets.

So when I am reading J.K.

Rowling or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I don�t rush and I enjoy the book, but most of the

time, I have this feeling of urgency to gain the knowledge from the book and I follow this

trick of listening and reading at the same time.

So guys I hope it solves the mystery of how exactly people read fast and complete 5 or

more books in just a week.

Trust me guys, this is one of the best things I have introduced into my life lately.

I was able to read 5 books last week which is something definitely I wouldn�t be able

to do if I wasn�t using this method.

Good morning! This is Day 3 in Osaka!

So I'll go over the Introduction, the objectives, the methodology, the findings and the conclusion of this study.

The conference is all done and I'm heading home to relax and have a fun evening with my family.

I just left the conference and I decided to stop by the Osaka Castle

I'm not gonna go in because I've already been in before

and I actually want to go home and relax a little bit.

It's been a long day at the conference!

At that point, I was going to talk about the Castle, its history and everything else

but I got so thrown off by the persons (Asian tourists) just looking at me

and staring me the whole time I was in front of the castle that I decided to leave as soon as possible.

and it's nothing new really... you get stared at everywhere you go basically.

Especially in areas where they're not used to seeing person that look like you.

But it's still nothing that I'll ever get used to. Sometimes when I yawn,

I see persons just staring deep into my soul. It's just so uncomfortable

or persons taking pictures with their phone, like sneaking a picture when they're in their car

or in the train. It's just very awkward

One thing I find so strange about Japan is that

everyone just leaves their bike unlocked

in the middle of the street like

they are not scared of getting their bikes stolen what so ever

all of them are not locked... they just don't care

or maybe it's because like no one steals bikes here??
