10 Things You Didn't Know About Mario Kart 8 - Duration: 3:15.

What's up, Mitten Squad?

My name is Paul and welcome back to another Top 10 video.

In this video, i'll be going over 10 Things You Didn't Know About Mario Kart 8.

Number 10.

Before the race starts on the Ribbon Road course, you can spot a poster that depicts

a Lakitu in a kung-fu like pose that says "Dragon Driftway The Movie, Kung Fu Lakitu,

coming Spring 2015".

This poster is referencing Dreamworks film and television series Kung Fu Panda.

Number 9.

Four cup icons can be found in the game's files.

They're icons are a Boo, a Blue Shell, a Shrine Sprite, and a Yoshi egg.

The lack of detail on the icons compared to used icons suggests that they are going to

be cups for possible Mario Kart 8 DLC.

Number 8.

You can see a billboard on the Toad Harbor course that reads "Shy Guy Metals, Since 1987".

The billboard references the first appearance of Shy Guys in the 1987 game Dream Factory:

Heart-Pounding Panic, which is actually a translation of the Japanese game that appears

on screen now.

Number 7.

Throughout the Ribbon Road course, you can spot various knitted Yoshi's around the

course.

There are 3 in total, a pink Yoshi, a blue Yoshi, and a green Yoshi.

These are references to both the three yarn Yoshi amibos available as well as Yoshi's

Yard Land.

Number 6.

The 1.1 update to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe altered one of the Inkling Girl's taunts because

the original animation could have been viewed as being an offensive gesture in certain areas.

Number 5.

In Mario Kart 8's Sunshine Airport track, the serial number "55402MS" can be seen

on crates on the carousel.

The code is a reference to Super Mario Sunshine's Australian and European release date, October

4th, 2002.

Number 4.

In the files for Mario Kart 8, you can find an emblem for Kamek that goes unused in the

game, suggesting that he was going to be a playable character at some point during Mario

Kart 8's development.

Number 3.

The sharp, raised turn on the retro version of the Mario Circuit track is supported by

an Ultra Arm.

The Ultra Arm references a toy made by Gunpei Yokoi, the Ultra Hand.

Yokoi is perhaps best known as the designer of the Gameboy.

Number 2.

There was a picture of Diddy Kong among other Mario characters in a Spanish copy of Official

Nintendo Magazine, suggesting that Diddy Kong was planned to be in the game at some point,

but was unfortunately cut.

Number 1.

A map of the city can be spotted on the wall at the beginning of the course on the Mario

Kart 8 DLC course Super Bell Subway.

The map seems to have a similar, if not identical, structural layout to the city below Mario

Kart 8 version of Mario Kart 64's Rainbow Road course.

Toad Harbor is also marked on the map, suggesting that the two courses are in similar areas

near Toad Harbor.

Alright that's gonna do it for this Top 10 video about Mario Kart 8.

If you enjoyed the video or learned anything leave a Like.

If you didn't enjoy the video or didn't learn anything leave a Dislike.

Leave a comment if you have any suggestions for any future Top 10 video about any game

or game character.

My name is Paul of Mitten Squad.

Have a wonderful day.

Miley Cyrus - Malibu | Mini Pop Kids Cover - Duration: 4:08.

I never came to the beach

or stood by the ocean

I never sat by the shore under the sun

with my feet in the sand

but you brought me here

and I'm happy that you did

cause now I'm as free

as birds catching the wind

I always thought I would sink

so I never swam

I never went boatin'

don't get how they're floatin'

sometimes I get so scared

of what I can't understand

but here I am

next to you

the sky's more blue

in Malibu

next to you

in Malibu

next to you

we watch the sun go down

as we were walking

I'd spend the rest of my life

standing here talking

you would explain the current

as I tried to smile

hoping I just stay the same

and nothing will change

and it'll be us just for a while

do we even exist?

that's when I make a wish

to swim away with the fish

is it supposed to be this hard

all summer long

I never would've believed you

if three years ago

you told me I'd be here

writing this song

but here I am

next to you

the sky's more blue

in Malibu

next to you

in Malibu

next to you

next to you

the sky's more blue

in Malibu

next to you

we are just like the waves

that flow back and forth

sometimes I feel like I'm drowning

and you're there to save me

and I wanna thank you with all of my heart

it's a brand new start

A dream come true

in Malibu

How to cook wild mustard (Sinapis arvensis) - Duration: 5:22.

Hello everyone and welcome to my kitchen..

Let me show you how to cook wild mustard.

Mustard is a powerful detoxifying plant.

There are two ways of cooking it:

Leaves: harvest small stems with leaves.

Flowers: harvest the stems with flowers (beginning of blooming).

Flowers: cut the stems and boil them in salted water for about 10 minutes.

Remove the water and chop the stems.

Put them in a salad bowl with green olives and a chili pepper.

Add the juice of half a lemon.

Pour some vinegar.

It's an excellent bread filling.

It's bitter, yet tasty.

If you wish, you can add garlic or rosy garlic.

Leaves: you can boil the leaves in the same way (10 mins/salted water).

Coarse chop them.

Cook them in a pan with olive oil and onion (or garlic) for a few minutes.

Cooked leaves can be used to season pasta, rice or potatoes.

I use a lot of wild plants when I cook...

...this way I can be sure they are 100% organic and pesticide-free.

I hope you enjoyed my video, until next time!

Man, I Love My Road Bike. | Sometimes One Thing Just Leads To Another. - Duration: 8:21.

Singing...

Know what I really love about my bike I just love going over bumps and

stuff and not hear a rattle don't hear any squirrely noises coming out of it

tells me that I did the right thing and putting on the right length of chain I

calculated the correct length through the chain so that's not slapping around

there's nothing on the bike that's nice causing a rattle causing a noise

lowering the psi makes a lot of difference bike runs a little smoother

quicker I know it's quicker

it's a great feeling

that's the train you hear going by trying east just to my right side

probably 20 yards within the track

Oh

you know it's kind of funny how I came up with the thought about tire pressure

once again I been trying different camera mounts and camera angles to

record my videos and all the things that I know it's quite a bit especially after

you to be at some of the videos especially on a high Madonna when you

come when it comes to a sunny day blue skies and you get trees in the picture

and there's a lot of trees in my pictures like up here in front of each

other alright all these leaves in the shot I'm going down a tree-lined road

the roads a little uneven here we often my videos begin to look blurred

especially in the tree and tried everything in terms of shutter speed and

a couple of bit rates and all that kind of thing

and I am following YouTube standards for doing that so I said what the hell is

going on I found my pants if follow you my videos and certain

papers will look as good as other people and it finally came down to well the

camera must be vibrating must be bouncing around so I went back to a

camera mount that I'm currently using and it works great but just to tweak it

a little bit more you know what what can I do to take the vibration not on the

bike as much as much as possible the first thing that occurred to me was no

shit how about taking some tire pressure off

lower your psi can I do that safely

should I do it so it's some research and sure enough

not only a good idea but it seems like I probably was running like you hi psi all

alone well there you go

but he'll say one thing leads to another

20

by the way video before I uploaded to YouTube oh my wife is so unbelievably

clear regardless of any sort of low vibrations so YouTube does screw with it

a bit well here's the town green here in Guilford seems like there's quite a bit

of activity here this morning and I think it's probably related to well

first of all church looks like they got a fare going on here end up here on the

right on the green looks like some sort of bizarre going on

whoa

I'll make it nervous see an SUV coming at you it's funny you know the other day

I'm writing along Susan's behind me and in the left lane they had this guy

essentially blocking the lane with this landscaping truck I'm sure you what I'm

talking about this guy parked in the middle of the road basically and you got

to go around them and there make a living so what do you care right so

anyway he's blocking the left lane I'm driving am i lean I'm perfectly fine so

I'm a little concerned about Susan behind me because I see this guy in the

sports car approaching from the other direction and know that he wants to

swing into my lane to get around the contractor I wouldn't let him I stayed

right in the extreme left lane on my side so that Susan would be run off the

road by this jerk this guy in a small sports car for the students I defend his

own environment throws up his hands and disgusted he

like what the hell's wrong with you

and I looked at him I said have a nice day with G you know he expects me to get

out of these ready to come into my lane amazing amazing anyway there's always

something on the road with other drivers but Mike my philosophy might have to

tour them lately is then have a nice day and thank you here's a group

you got a drive like your life depends on it because it does you have to ride

like your life depends on it

and

but a nice day ending in clouds but nice morning a ride buckle thanks for coming

along this morning we'll see you next time get out there and ride

you

on your real estate investing.

If you've been in it,

or if you're thinking about getting into real estate,

it's still a great time -

but you've got to know a few things about it.

We are in an "Up" market and a lot of people ask me,

they say, "David how should I protect myself

against another downturn like we had back

in 2008, 2009, 2010?" Great, great question.

I stay fully invested in real estate,

either as a lender or as an equity owner of property,

and you can too -

but you've got to know the right property segments to invest in.

And I'm talking right now just specifically about single-family -

I don't want to get complicated

and talk about multi-family or commercial -

let's just stick with single-family,

because you can stay really safe in single-family.

I like the price band between $80,000 (that's all-in;

that's my acquisition plus any rehab or renovation)

up to about $150,000.

Now, why do I like that price band?

Because number one, it attracts the kind of tenants I want.

These are going to be good houses in good neighborhoods:

3-bedroom, 2 bath, 2-car garage in neighborhoods

where there's good access to schools, and access to jobs -

the neighborhoods where you can walk down the street

on a Saturday night and feel safe.

So that's the key right there.

The second part is the rental:

the rental income relative to those price points,

between $80,000 and $150,000, is really rock solid.

In fact, you should get at least 1% per month

of the total value of that property.

In other words, an $80,000 property should produce

$800 per month -

typically, they will produce more than that -

and a $150,000 property should produce

at least $1,500 per month.

That's where you want to be.

Realize when the markets reset,

when there's a downturn,

you're in that price band where people want to be.

People will ratchet down a little bit

if there's a higher price point property, into that band.

It's good people, good tenants, and it's the right place to be.

If you do that, and use safe leveraging

and have great management on the back end, it can't go wrong.

But you've got to know how to access those right deals.

That's the key.

Alright, that's my freedom tip for today.

Remember, always say freedom focused.

¡Ándale!- Episode I- Cancun, the other side (sub ENG/ITA) - Duration: 6:22.

I really like to take urban photos with social content

but also I work on commercial things.

This is a city with high touristic flow

And, therefore, the economic flow is high

This generates many contrasts in the society:

There are very rich people and some are estremely poor

There is not a middle way.

I reflect this contrast in my work:

where there is a lot poorness and where there is a lot richness.

Then, you can see it, you can appreciate it, if you know how to look.

It is starting to be valued (Graffiti)

As you can see here..

there is diversity, there are colours,

there are many shapes. All this is very common in the suburbs,

in the neighbourhoods. However, luckily or unluckily,

it is barely announced, people barely see it as vandalism;

people are starting to see it as an expression movement

as an alternative art to all what we have.

For sure, it is painting, but still each has a style

and each one wants to communicate something

in one way or another, but everyone wants to communicate

They do not have the means, but this is their way to express,

to say everything. it is a form of whom they keep the things

There are many events, but little information in reality

There is dance, opera... but not enough information

The information is only for high society people,

to explain it somehow. There is few advertising

and I think that it would have to be easier to share information

with the social networks. And I like opera, I love it

and piano and so on.

The art in Mexico is something undervalued, disparaged.

It does not receive the value it should really be given to it

or the value that it receives in other countries.

I do think that institutions

should give some more support to art

and that there are really good artists in Mexico

but they unfortunately have to migrate to other countries,

because of the little support they receive here and that they need to be able to develop it

And, well, in general the culture...

We do not have enough culture here in Mexico.

I see companies have taken possession

they have privatized all what belongs to the people

The archaeological areas, the beaches, etc.

all this do not belong to us (Mexican people) now.

He makes the art pieces, he has his atelier here

It is very rare to meet him here

The guys are creating graffitis in some area of the city

where it is banned

It is not allowed

But sometimes the government offers some walls where

the guys can express themselves and paint there

I have just watched a video about a Mexican guy, who is going

to make graffitis in Dubai A guy from Cancun? Yes from Cancun

Mexico is very rich in culture

but I think that us, Mexican people, do not focus enough on it

We sometimes do not consider it important enough, although we have a lot of culture.

What about other arts, like dance or theatre?

Yes, I have heard about some performances, mainly related to theatre

However, I am not sure if there is anything, here, in Cancun.

If there is any theatre..

How to Make Beef Kabobs - Easy Steak Kebabs Recipe

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your Host Matt Taylor, this next

grilling episode, we are going to make beef kabobs, oh yummy, super easy to do, great

for if you have a big gathering of people, let's get started.

First we need to soak our bamboo skewers in water, you see up there in the corner, I have

them soaking in water.

And then we want to decide what we want to put on our skewers, obviously we need some

steak, I am using a London broil cut, but you can use whatever kind you want, you can

do pineapple, you can do onion chunks, you can do bell peppers, tomatoes, you can do

whole mushrooms, whatever you really want to do whatever your favorite vegetable is,

those are some of my favorites to use, kielbasa sausage is really good to put on there as

well.

You don't want all the pieces of ingredients to be really smashed together, you want a

little bit of room between them, and then now it is ready to go on the grill just like

that.

And here we got them on the grill, and these are going to take somewhere to about 5 minutes

per side so about 10 minutes total.

You pretty much just cook them until you get the steak how you like it, medium rare, medium.

Got my brothers over here manning the grill, flipping the kabobs.

Another thing that is really good to do is take fresh pineapple and cut them in long

little pieces like this, and then grill them, those are super good, and then you are just

going to grill these like I said earlier, until the steak, gets to whatever, however,

temperature that you want, medium rare, rare, well done.

My mom working the grill, Hi mom, this is fun, not too hot, I think this is the first

time I have ever done kabobs.

This is my brother Mark; he is going to dig into one of these kebabs, what do you think

Mark?

Awesome, All right, that is how you make beef kabobs, really easy to do, super versatile,

you can switch out the ingredients that you put on the kebab, with your favorite vegetables

if you want, it's really good for a gathering, like I did for my birthday party, people just

show up, they put whatever they want on the kabobs, and then you just man the grill, and

you can let them cook it themselves, if they are competent enough, or you can cook it for

them, it's really cool to do, go out there and make your own, I am Matt Taylor this has

been another episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, thank you for joining me, as always

if you have any questions or comments put them down below, and I will get back to you

as soon as I can, thumbs up, down in the corner push it.

Don't forget to subscribe to my channel and check out my other videos.

Take care.

Runescape: How To Make Grinding Fun - Duration: 6:41.

What's up guys it's me Jeremy.

We're doing something a bit different today, with a video that is not going to be about

League of Legends.

Out of all of the games that has stood the test of time, probably the most iconic of

them all is Runescape.

Created in 2001 this Legenday MMO by Jagex has had over 250 million accounts created

since its release, and to this day, still has an active, healthy and growing playerbase.

And throughout time the developers have done a lot of things right and some not so much,

but there's one thing the game truly succeeds at from a game design perspective, that has

allowed it, at least in my mind, to truly stand the test of time.

Runescape as a game succeeds at making grinding fun.

Whether you are playing the modernized Runescape 3 or the classic OG Old School Runescape,

we'll be referring to both games in this video together hand-in-hand as simply Runescape,

since pretty much all of our talking points apply to both games equally.

Hundreds of Massively Multiplayer Online Games have come and gone, and the biggest fault

that these forgotten and unplayed games typically have, is that they fail to make their long-form

gameplay interesting.

The gameplay consists of killing 6 wolves to level up so that you can go on to kill

6 move wolves in a new area, gain some more levels, and kill some more wolves, until you

get bored and uninstall.

Grinding is and always will be a pretty big part of the MMO genre as a whole, and so that

aspect is typically what defines the gameplay of an MMO.

And making grinding fun is, at least on the game design side of things, is the number

one thing that has contributed to the long term success of the game as a whole.

Sure, Jagex has done a ton of other things that also contributed heavily to Runescape's

long term success, but from specifically a gameplay perspective, making their grinding

elements fun is what allowed the game to last longer than the lifetime of some of the people

watching this video.

There's quite a few ways that Runescape accomplishes this incredible feat, and it's

the culmination of all of these things together that has made the game design massively successful.

In runescape, you as a player are given complete control over what to do.

Because things are based on individual skills and definied quests and such, a player has

infinitely more opportunities and choices than you would expect in a more traditional

MMO where you start at level 1 in the zone that you stay in from level 1-10, and then

moving onto the next zone from level 10-20 and so on.

In Runescape, there is no set path, no strict levelling zones or areas, the entire world

and every part of it is open to you in some way shape or form.

Right off the bat you get to choose what you want to grind at, and that level of control

gives a lot more interest to the repetive elements, since you never feel like you are

forced to do something.

The introduction of choice already does a ton to make grinding feel less like a chore,

and much moreso like you are working towards your own set goal.

Although repetitive grinding is a massive part of runescape for sure, it never really

feels like it is forced on you the way the levelling grind might be in a more traditional

MMO where you gain experience, level up, and eventually hit the overall level cap.

As well, Runescape does an absolutely fantastic job at giving you meaningful, significant

rewards at the end of your grind.

Although the grinding aspects definitely do get tedious, you are always met at the end

with an extremely satisfying payoff.

It leaves you feeling like you worked hard on a project and ended up with something awesome,

which is a feeling that can be quite hard to come by, and not only just in gaming.

It does an amazing job of giving incredible satisfaction upon accomplishing a goal, be

it by giving you an epic item, unlocking a new and exlusive zone, or gaining access to

a new piece of gameplay, very rarely does a grind in runescape to obtain something feel

like a waste when you finish it, and by giving you a good feeling of accomplishment, you

are always left at the end feeling like the grind was worth it, and you're excited to

start on the next one.

Another aspect that Runescape introduces as well, is that they typically add in some amount

of randomness to the repetitive and boring elements.

There's loads of random stuff in the game setup to where you might be grinding for an

hour or so, and hey here's this random extra bonus reward for no reason, or maybe you randomly

get some extra XP, a nice free item, a rare drop, or if you're extremely lucky, one

of the coveted rare pets.

By introducing these random rewards to respective aspects of gameplay, things are kept a little

bit more interesting.

Along the way to your epic reward at the end, you're bound to stumble upon some nice little

bonuses, and there's also a slim chance of getting something that is super rare and

awesome too.

This randomness allows the repetitive gameplay to actually have moments that are different,

and allow the entire process to feel just a bit less repetitive overall to be enough

to not get bored along the way to reaching your goal.

The cycle of pacing between repetitive grind session to a meaningful reward, mixed in with

random elements, all while keeping the grind under the control of the player, allows you

to always be reaching for the next goal, and for things to not get too dull along the way.

Although Jagex is often praised for their heavy community involvement, consistent updates,

and constant improvements to Runescape, the game design is an aspect that goes quite underappreciated,

and overall has contributed a lot more than you might think to its long term success,

and is a great game to take inspiration from for MMO game design.

I know it wasn't a league of legends video today, but I want to try and make more of

theses video essay type things about design for video games as a whole, and Runescape

is a game I've played since elementary school, and still do to this day, so I felt it was

a great place to start with this type of content.

So let me know what you thought of this video, and I'll see you guys next time!

Introdução ao JAWS - Aula 2.1 - Instalar o software - Duration: 10:12.

In this section, we will take our first step into the world of JAWS.

We will focus on how to install and start the configuration of JAWS.

JAWS is a screen reading software for Windows. In Brazil, it's sold by Tecassistiva,

a company that specializes in solutions for accessibility.

It can be acquired for a single user or at a bulk discount for multiple users.

However, if you have not acquired it yet, but want to test drive it, no problem!

You can download it on Tecassistiva's website.

Once you install it, it will work for 40-minute periods for 30 days.

If you are blind and currently without

a screen reader, ask a friend to help you start the install.

Go to "tecassistiva.com.br" and select "Produtos" from the navigation menu.

Spelling the site: t e c a s s i s t i v a . c o m . b r .

End of spelling.

At the end of the list, choose "Softwares" and then click on JAWS.

At the bottom of the product page, click on the "Downloads" tab.

Go to "Softwares" and choose the link for either 32- or 64-bit depending on your computer.

Wait for the EXE file to download completely. After downloading, go to the Downloads folder

and double-click on the file to open it.

Continue through the installation menu by clicking Next.

After the installation is complete, JAWS will start speaking.

This is helpful for a blind user because

they can configure it by themselves.

Immediately, JAWS will start talking to walk you through the configuration.

This first screen contains the speech settings such as rate, punctuation,

and typing echo.

We want JAWS to speak a little faster, so we will increase the rate using

the UP ARROW.

To continue, use TAB.

This setting will determine which type of punctuation JAWS will read.

We want to the intonation,

but not for JAWS to dictate commas, periods, question marks and exclamation points.

Use the ARROW keys to find "Most."

To continue, use TAB.

For Typing Echo, keep the "Characters" option, which is recommended for beginners.

Use TAB to find the Next button and press ENTER.

OK, these are our settings to run JAWS.

We want JAWS to automatically start when we turn on the computer,

so JAWS can help us login and type our password on the start screen.

Maintain these settings on this screen, they are recommended for beginners.

Use TAB to find the Next button and press ENTER.

Here we have some advanced settings, so we will keep all the defaults for now.

Use TAB to find the Next button and press ENTER.

This screen configures to what level of detail that JAWS explains.

We're beginners, so we want to explain it explain as much as possible.

Let's keep all the default settings for the time being.

Use TAB to find the Next button and press ENTER.

The next two screens are about Braille settings.

These settings are relevant when we're using a Braille display with JAWS.

This is a more advanced function, so let's skip ahead.

Use TAB to find the Next button and press ENTER on both screens.

OK, those are all the screens in the Startup Wizard.

Continue to the next video to learn how to start customizing JAWS to your liking.

CLOVER REVEALS 50 COSMIC FACTS ABOUT MERCURY YOU WON'T BELIEVE - Duration: 6:34.

Welcome!

I'm Clover the curiously clever cat.

The last few days my curiosity has focused pretty hard on space so here are fifty cosmic

facts about the planet Mercury.

Not only is Mercury the smallest planet in our solar system, its also a lonely plane

without any of the moons or rings that keep most other planets company but for all that,

its still a curiously interesting place.

Mercury is the densest, or heaviest planet after earth, being made mostly of rock and

heavy metals and to top off the list of bad luck Mercury also has wrinkles.

As the core of the planet cooled, it contracted giving the planet a wrinkled appearance.

Mercury is also pretty banged up, winning the award as the most cratered planet on in

the solar system and even worse, unlike many other planets these crater scars don't self-heal

meaning the scars stick around with the wrinkles.

Since the craters are so lasting, most of the are considered art and have been named

after artists and writers.

For all that it might be ugly, Mercury is probably pretty tough since scientists think

it has a core of solid iron.

That might actually be better than a spine of steel.

Living on Mercury carries a lot of benefits for humans.

You could quit the diet if you lived on mercury since gravity is lower than on earth and your

weight would be about thirty eight percent lower if you lived there.

You would also be a whole lot younger since one day on Mercury is equal to one hundred

and seventy six earth days.

Of course, a year on mercury is only eighty eight days long so age would become quite

confusing very quickly.

You probably wouldn't want to live on mercury though since surface temperatures reach as

high as eight hundred degrees on one side of the planet and as low as two hundred seventy

nine degrees below zero on the other.

Talk about extremes.

There's a good reason for the temperature extreme though.

While Mercury is the planet closest to the sun, it has essentially no atmosphere so its

warm where it faces the sun and receives rays about seven times stronger than what we get

here on earth.

Actually, its not quite correct to say Mercury has no atmosphere.

It does have a light exosphere of hydrogen, helium oxygen and some other things like calcium,

potassium and sodium which probably come form vaporization of the rocks on mercury, one

of the few terrestrial planets in the solar system.

Anyway, the minute the sun isn't shining, all that heat just poofs away freezing the

dark side solid.

Considering it stays daylight for a full year and then night for a full year the electric

bills trying to stay comfortable on mercury would be budget busters.

Though at certain points on the surface near the equator you could actually watch the sun

rise about halfway into the sky and then reverse and set again.

That would be pretty cool to see but perhaps the polar regions would be a better place

to hang out since they stay a pretty consistent temperature though it is one hundred thirty

six degrees below zero.

I said consistent, not comfortable.

Another benefit to the poles is that the crater at the North pole is believed to contain water

ice.

In fact, it is theorized that the north pole on Mercury contains enough ice to encase all

of Washington D.C. in a frozen block of ice two and a half miles deep.

Maybe Mercury is the answer to our political problems – we can shoot Washington to Mercury's

north pole.

That's not the only weird thing that happens on Mercury.

Since its orbit around the sun results in Mercury being positioned at different distances,

the pull of the sun is sometimes as much as seventeen times stronger than what is felt

by the earth or the moon.

What this means is that Mercury actually flexes throughout they year.

Smush a ball with your hand and you get the idea.

Maybe that's why only two spacecraft have ever visited the planet,

Mariner ten flew past Mercury twice back in the seventies.

Though the fly bys only got to see about half the planet the missions are credited with

measuring mercury's largest crater at just over 963 miles in diameter.

We also know that mercury is a tectonically active planet meaning new faults are forming

probably this very minute and that these faults are forming cliffs up to hundreds of miles

long and more than a mile high so that will give any visitor something new to look at.

The Messenger probe was sent out from Cape Canaveral back in 2004 to orbit the planet

and try and get more information to send back to earth and managed to orbit the planet more

than four thousand times before running out of fuel.

It did discover that mercury's magnetic field literally leaks.

Messenger encountered what can only be described as magnetic tornados nearly five hundred miles

wide.

Hopefully we can continue to learn more about Mercury as new missions hit the planet including

one meant to map Mercury in 2019.

Whatever we do, we have about five billion years to do it since some simulations show

that Mercury's interaction with Jupiter's gravitational pull might upset Mercury's

orbit so much it could collide with Venus around that time.

It shouldn't take all that long to explore since Mercury is only about two-fifths the

size of earth and it is believed that the planet is actually shrinking.

Another curious thing about Mercury is how quickly it spins.

Every time Mercury orbits the sun, it rotates on its axis three times.

While mercury is one of the planets you can view as a bright star like object from earth

with your naked eye, don't try to catch that spin you won't see it.

The rotation is so fast that People used to believe Mercury didn't spin at all and only

one side of the planet faced the sun all the time.

Even the Romans noticed Mercury moves fast though.

In fact, the Romans gave the planet its name for just that reason.

They called it Mercury after their messenger god because of the way it streaked across

the sky, well streaked relative to any other planet anyway.

The best places to see mercury are in the Earth's Southern Hemisphere though those

up North can usually spot this amazing little planet too especially by looking during daylight

hours.

It's a good thing Mercury is so easy to spot with the naked eye though because very

powerful telescopes have a hard time zooming in.

In fact, the Hubble Space Telescope can't observe Mercury at all because the telescope

has built in safety features that keep it from pointing too close to the sun.

Well, those are my fifty curious facts about mercury.

Now click subscribe because I'll be back tomorrow with something new and curious to

share.

If you're curious about something, let me know.

BTS V x Rap Monster – 네시 (4 O'CLOCK) [Ind | Eng lyrics Turn On CC] - Duration: 3:54.

One day, I wrote a long, long letter to the moon

It would not be brighter than you

But I lighted a small candle

At a dusky park

A nameless bird that sings

Where are you

Oh you

Why are you crying

You and I are the only ones here

Me and you

Oh you

Following into the deep night

The sound of you singing

Brings the red morning

A step, and another step

The dawn passes

And when that moon falls asleep

The blue shade that stayed with me disappears

Even today, I live moderately

I walk in pace, moderately wearing down

The sun suffocates me

And the world strips me naked

I can't help it, there's no other way

I collect myself that's shattered beneath the moonlight

I call you moonchild

We are the children of the moon

I breathe the cold night air

Yes we're livin and dyin at the same time

But you can open your eyes for now

Just like that any movie, like the line (from the movie)

The entire world is blue inside the moonlight

At a dusky park

A nameless bird that sings

Where are you

Oh you

Why are you crying

You and I are the only ones here

Me and you Oh you

Following into the deep night

The sound of you singing

Brings the red morning

A step, and another step

The dawn passes

And when that moon falls asleep

The blue shade that stayed with me disappears

Following into the deep night

The sound of you singing

Brings the red morning

A step, and another step

The dawn passes

And when that moon falls asleep

The blue shade that stayed with me disappears

The dawn passes

And when that moon falls asleep

The blue shade that stayed with me
