CHAPTER XXIV

SAM ARRIVES

Whether the Stars were determined to show their opponents what they could do when they

tried or whether it was because they wanted to show their confidence in Joe, or even whether

it was due to a slump in the playing of the Academy team, was not made manifest, but at

any rate in their half of the sixth inning our friends gathered in four runs, making

the score ten to three in their favor.

"Oh, it's a walk-over," boasted Tom Davis as he did an impromptu war dance.

"Yes, we've got 'em beat a mile," added Seth Potter.

"Don't be too sure," commented the Academy captain.

"No game is won until it's over and we've got three more innings yet.

The seventh is always our lucky number."

"You're welcome to all you can get," rejoined Captain Rankin with a laugh.

"Seven is where we always eat pie, too."

The Stars were about to take the field for the[192] beginning of the seventh when there

was a commotion over at one entrance gate.

A lad came running through the crowd.

"Hold on!" he cried.

"Wait!

I'm going to play.

Let me pitch!"

"Sam Morton!" burst out Tom Davis.

"Why couldn't he stay away until we had the game won?

I'll bet we slump as soon as he goes in the box."

Sam came on running.

He was panting and out of breath.

"What's the matter?

Where were you?"

demanded Darrell.

"I got on—the wrong car.

I thought it—came here.

They—took me off—in the woods—somewhere.

I've had an awful time—getting here.

Is the game—over?"

"No, we're just starting the seventh."

"Can't I pitch?"

Darrell hesitated.

It was a perfectly natural request for Sam and yet Joe had been doing so well that both

the manager and the captain disliked to take him off the mound.

"Can't I pitch?"

again demanded Sam.

"You don't mean to tell me that Joe Matson has——"

"Joe hasn't done anything but what we wanted him to," put in Rankin quickly, "and

he's made a good record."

[193]

"Oh, I suppose so," sneered Sam.

"Well, if you don't want me to——"

"Of course you can pitch," said Darrell quietly.

It was unquestioningly Sam's right and though he was in rather an exhausted condition still

the manager and captain knew that he was at his best early in his game.

"What are you going to do; change pitchers?"

demanded the manager of the Academy team, striding up to Darrell and Captain Rankin.

"Yes."

"You can't do it now."

"Why not?"

"It's against the rules.

You've got to have some one bat for him first.

You can't change until next inning."

There was quite a mix-up, and rules were quoted and mis-quoted back and forth, for, as I have

said, the lads were far from being professional or even college players.

The upshot of it was that Sam was allowed to go in, whether or not in accordance with

the rules the boys did not decide, and the little feeling that had been raised soon subsided,

for they were all true sportsmen.

As for Joe, at first he felt humiliated that he was displaced but he realized that he had

had more honor that he had at first expected, and his[194] arm was beginning to pain him

very much.

So, on the whole, he was glad Sam had arrived when he did.

Not so the captain, manager and other Star players, however, for Sam allowed two runs

while he occupied the box, and the Academy team and their friends were jubilant.

The Stars managed to get two runs in their half of the seventh.

Joe did not play, his place at centre field continuing to be filled by Tom.

Joe was glad of the rest and he watched the efforts of his rival closely.

In the eighth Sam did not seem able to pull himself together and three runs were due to

his poor pitching.

"Say, if we play innings enough we'll beat 'em even with their new pitcher!"

called some one in the crowd, anxious to get Sam's "goat," or nerve.

And this seemed likely.

In their half of the eighth the Stars only got one run, and when the ninth inning opened

there were some anxious hearts among the members of the visiting team.

And then came a terrible slump.

Sam grew wild, allowed bases on balls, struck one man and muffed an easy fly.

When the route and riot were over there were five runs to the credit of the schoolboy players

and they had tied the score,[195] pulling up from a long way in the rear.

The crowd went wild for them.

"Fellows, we've got to make our half of this inning count," said Darrell earnestly.

"They're making fools of us and they're not in our class at all.

We've got to beat them!

Sam, wake up!" he said sharply.

"I'm not asleep!" retorted the pitcher.

"If you think I am why don't you send that Matson in again?"

"Easy now, easy," spoke Rankin.

"You can pitch if you pull yourself together, and if we can't make a run this inning and

it goes to the tenth you'll have to unwind some curves."

"I will, but it won't go to the tenth."

It didn't, for the Stars took a brace and pulled off one run, winning the game by a

score of fourteen to thirteen.

But it had been a close call.

"Well, you beat us," acknowledged the Academy manager as the winning run came in.

"But it took two pitchers to do it, and you'd have done better if you'd stuck

to the first one."

"Perhaps," admitted Darrell.

"You played better than I gave you credit for."

"Why don't you use that first pitcher regularly?" the home captain wanted to know.

"Oh, maybe——" began Darrell, and then he[196] saw Sam standing close beside him,

and he did not finish.

"What were you going to say?"

demanded Sam roughly.

"Nothing," answered the manager in some confusion.

He was saved a further reply by the approach of a boy who held a note in his hand.

"Is Joe Matson here?"

the lad asked.

"Right over there," said Darrell, pointing to where the young pitcher was talking to

Tom Davis.

"I've got a letter for him," the messenger went on.

Joe rapidly tore open the envelope and read the few words the note contained.

"I've got to leave here," he said to Tom.

"Why?

What's the matter?

Nothing wrong I hope."

"I don't know," answered Joe.

"The note says I'm to come home at once.

They've sent a carriage for me.

I hope nothing has happened to—to anybody," and gulping down a suspicious lump in his

throat Joe followed the lad off the diamond.

15 Most Curiously Bizarre Flags You Won't Believe People Actually Fly in Honor of Flag Day! - Duration: 4:44.

Welcome back and happy flag day – if you celebrate a holiday centered around flags

that is.

Actually the mere thought of flag day got me wondering what we were thinking making

that a national holiday.

It turns out that the US didn't actually celebrate flag day until 1916 and despite

the fact that we all know its on the calendar, its not even a Federal Holiday – just something

we do.

Unless you are in Pennsylvania that is – flag day is important there.

In fact , they made flag day their first official state Holiday in 1937.

If all this disappoints you, don't worry.

While we all say flag day, it turns out that the entire week is considered National Flag

week so get that American flag flying.

If you want to really bring on the flags, try flying these fifteen very weird flags

from around the world just be sure to put it below Old Glory!

Top of my list is Libya.

See that simple green behind me?

That's the flag.

It just a green flag, which is weird but we'll call it unique since it was the only national

flag in the world with just one color and nothing else!

Nepal is up next.

While this flag is cool enough with its red, white and blue colors and interesting design,

what makes it truly stand out is that it is the only flag that isn't actually a rectangle.

Those blue lines outline the actual flag of two overlapping triangles.

Sicily, while not the origin of yoga, sure knows how to promote being bendy.

Their flag has three legs bent in some super awkward angles though the face is pretty cool

and the colors definitely catch your attention unless you happen to be a yoga master with

three legs, this flag just seems odd.

If the flag of sicily didn't please you, how about another version.

The isle of man offers the same red background, loses the bright yellow and the strange center

face but keeps the clockwise pointing three legged deal.

A lesson in simplicity, the flag of Antarctica, and yes there is a flag of Antarctica even

though its not actually a nation or state.

Either way, it truly represents the feel of the place with its simple snowy mass on a

field of icy blue.

I get cold just looking at it – how about you?

Of course I also see a triceratops – do you see it?

A happy flag is the flag of Fryslan Netherlands.

If only there was a tiny point on those red blobs.

We would all feel the love wouldn't we?

Even without any extra love, the flag at least reminds us all of frogger.

Speaking of gaming, this flag from Antwerp Belgium definitely offers the avid retro gamer

a color blocks layout that just begs to have qbert hopping those 4 rows and 6 columns and

change all the crazy red, yellow, blue and white squares to something perhaps a little

less colorful.

While we're talking unusual combinations of red and yellow, how about Kyrgyzstan's

red flag with a lovely tennis ball surrounded by the sun?

Absolutely a flag that will wake you up if you ask me!

Of course, the central figure is not a tennis ball smashing the sun, but its fun to think

it is…

Number 11 takes us right back to that green color Libya seems so partial to flying but

with an added twist to make it perfect for Lombardy Italy.

Now whether that twist is a flower, a pinwheel or a jack from the game of jacks is up for

debate but regardless – its more interesting than libyas plain green.

Kenya has a pretty awesome flag featuring segmented black, red, and green colors but

what really makes it stand out are the spears and shield that form its centerpiece though

I'm not going to lie – I thought it was a strange bug when I first looked.

See it?

If the spears don't thrill you, take a gander at Uganda's flag also featuring some definite

stripes reportedly representing Africa's people of black, yellow, and red but centered

around a grey crowned crane which leaves me curious but curious or not, I like it!

As we've seen, flat green is a super popular flag color but Saudi Arabia certainly dressed

theirs up with an Arabic inscription above a sword representing arabias power.

Overall – a very attractive flag that I think would be hard to read when flying in

the wind even if I did know the language.

What do you think?

No flag countdown would be complete without a castle so Gibraltar is up next with a three

towered castle complete with a huge gold key.

Not only is it medieval to thrill some of us, its easy on the eyes to thrill all the

flag watchers out there.

Bhutan's flag features one amazing dragon stylized on a red and yellow background.

Though I can't quite explain the white orgs in each paw – talon – foot – whatever

– the flag is definitely one I'd fly.

Finally number 1 on my list is the happiest flag of all!

The North Caucasian Emirate flag didn't exist for long because, well, the republic

only lasted about half a year but I feel they should have been around longer.

I mean check out the happy, smiling flag.

Who wouldn't want to fly that every day of the year!

Thanks so much for sharing my interest in vexillology – say that three times fast.

Lets just say the study of the history, symbolism and usage of flags and I'll say thanks for

sharing flag day with me.

Don't forget – click subscribe because I'll be back tomorrow with some more curious

facts to share.

If you have an amazing flag picture – post it to me!

Strawberry Panna Cotta/ Panna Cotta alle Fragole - Duration: 6:14.

hi everyone and welcome back to my channel

well the summer is here and with the weather getting warmer each day the

desire for cooling and refreshing dessert increases and since strawberries

are in season I thought these layers panna cotta

recipe bursting with fresh strawberry flavor would be the perfect end to any

summer meal and now let's see how to make it these are the ingredients we are

going to need 450 grams fresh ripe strawberries 200 millimeters heavy cream

100 grams Greek yogurt 150 grams powdered sugar 15 grams gelatin leaf 1

tbsp fresh lemon juice the seed scrapped from half vanilla bean a pinch of salt

for the garnish I use fresh strawberries fresh mint leaves and mini meringue the

first thing we're going to do is a super super simple strawberry sauce wash and

hull the strawberries and cut in half combine the strawberries and the lemon

juice using a blender food processor or immersion blender blend the strawberries

until smooth

using the spatula pass the strawberries sauce through a mesh sieve to remove the

seeds

measure the amount of strawberry sauce you should have about 300 milliliters

for the panna cotta strawberry layer soak four grams gelatin leaf in cold water

until soft about 5 minutes meanwhile in a small saucepan over medium heat combine

100 milliliters strawberry sauce 100 milliliters heavy cream 50 powdered

sugar a pinch of salt and bring to a simmer then take off the heat squeeze

excess water from softened gelatin and add to the saucepan whisk until gelatin

has completely dissolved let the mixture cool to room temperature

then put into your mouth and very set in the refrigerator for about 2 hours until

firm before pouring the next layer I use a non stick silicone plum cake if

you want to speed up the setting process just place in the freezer for 40 to 50

minutes until set once the strawberry cream layer is set prepare

the second yogurt cream layer soak four grams gelatin leaf in cold water until soft

whisk the remaining heavy cream the Greek yogurt 50 grams sugar vanilla seeds and

the pinch of salt until combined heat to simmering point then take

off the heat squeeze the water from the soaked gelatin add to the saucepan and

whisk until dissolved allow to cool completely and thicken slightly

otherwise the vanilla seeds will sink to the bottom check to make sure the

strawberry cream layer is firm to the touch

then pour the mixture over and refrigerate or freeze again until set

once the yogurt cream mixture layer is set start preparing the third and final

layer of strawberry gelèe soak the remaining gelatin leaf as before

in a saucepan whisk together the remaining 200 meters strawberry sauce

and the remaining 50 grams sugar bring to a simmer then take off the heat

add the squeezed gelatin and continue to whisk until all the gelatin is dissolved

allow to cool completely once the cream layer has set remove from the

fridge and pour over the cooled strawberry gelèe place in the fridge to set for a

few hours

when ready to serve gently pull back the sides of the mold and carefully

invert the dessert onto a serving plate it should slip out perfectly

garnish with strawberries mint leaves and mini meringue and enjoy

this triple layered strawberry yogurt panna cotta not only looks lovely it

also tastes great light and creamy at the same time and almost guilt free pleasure

that will satisfy your sweet cravings without overloading you with calories and

fat thank you for watching I hope you enjoyed the video please leave a like

You know that in Latin America,

we hispanics have a lot of stereotypes.

We put everyone in the same mold.

So a military man has to be

a big, macho, masculine, and strong man.

One day they were doing roll call.

"Captain doing roll call."

Everyone in a straight line."

"Yes sir!"

"What did you say?"

"Yes sir."

So on that occasion

he starts mentioning all of their names, and he says,

"You, what's your name, soldier?"

"Francisco Benavente"

"And you?"

"Iriarte Samaniego"

"And you?"

"Torquato Tasso"

"And you?"

"Arturo"

"What was that?"

"Arturo"

"But speak like a man…"

"Arturo"

"Say it in a military style!"

If You Rub A Freshly Cut Tomato On Your Face For 3 Seconds, Here's The Incredible Effects ! - Duration: 2:19.

Tomato and Acne!!

Acne can be frustrating and uncomfortable, and even embarrassing at nearly any age.

The red inflamed skin can even be painful.

While getting rid of acne takes a bit of devotion to your skin care regimen, it doesn't have

to be expensive, or take a lot of time.

In fact, the solution to your breakouts may be growing in your vegetable garden.

Using tomato as part of your skin care routine can help clear up acne, and reduce the appearance

of acne scars.

This fruit is high in several vitamins like, Vitamins A, C, E, K, and B6.

These vitamins in this tasty food help shrink pores, and provide your skin with much-needed

nourishment.

Tomatoes actually contain salicylic acid, an ingredient you'll find listed on many

commercial treatments.

Usage.

The simple solution is sometimes the best.

Simply slice the tomato in half, and rub it on the affected areas of your face.

Massage the juice into your skin, and rinse.

While it's not the most effective treatment, it works great for minor breakouts, and when

you only have a few minutes to get it done.

Tomato face mask.

If you have a little bit of extra time, this method should work well on even heavy acne.

Take a tomato and make slight cuts on the skin.

Then, place the tomato under warm water for about a minute and remove the skin.

Remove the tomato seeds, and mash up the rest of your tomato into a paste.

Apply this paste to your entire face, and let it set for about an hour before rinsing.

You can also add mashed cucumber, or yogurt to the mask mixture, to reduce painful acne.

Tomato juice facewash.

If you don't want to sit around for an hour with tomato on your face, try this variation.

Mix one tablespoon of tomato juice with a few drops of lemon juice in a small dish.

Apply this mixture to affected areas of the skin, and let it set for about five minutes,

then rinse with warm water.

Thanks for watching the video!

Poppy: Dahice Bir Proje - Duration: 7:08.

Baseball Joe of the Silver Stars | Chapter 24 - Duration: 6:38.

We just need to make the surface smooth

What was her mistake , she was going to work there.

She looked like this from the outside

She tries to work here, she is uncomfortable,

her back hurts, this is wrong

If you need to reach far - turn the client's head.

This place is completely lit up, the back is straight,

there is nothing to look at at all, as the contour was fixed

Our eyes are in your fingers, okay?

I have a cotton pad in my hand necessarily.

My finger is next to it, it feels and

straightens the skin.

The thumb pulls a little on me so

I can see everything. This is one of the hands positions.

The back is straight and the fingers stand close to the working area. When

I work, I just feel.

There is another option in this way, I pull

using cotton pad, make the surface flat, smooth and stroke.

Very comfortable

On each piece on which we work, we just need

to make the surface smooth, so that the stroke is comfortable

to lay.

Here is the piece on which I work.

I stroke in this way, I slightly turn my lip to paint and there, that is the movement is.

my lip to paint and there, that is the movement is.

The same on the lower lip, here I have a cotton pad.

This finger from oneself, this pulls on oneself, it is very convenient.

At each gap of the lips, we must stretch, make

the surface smooth and always cotton pad in the hands.

Bruises are formed when you digging for long, put

anesthesia and a spasm of blood vessels comes.

put 10-20 strokes, erased using one movement and

Makings of Bonsai Beech Forest Planting,Bonsai Beech Starter Trees Group Planting by mikbonsai - Duration: 9:58.

hello everyone today I'm working on this beech forest

I wanted it about five years ago there was very very tiny thin saplings and the

coming along quite nicely and as there without leaf now the Bloods are starting

to swell and before they open up I can see clearly what's going on and it's

time to prune it right so today I am going to tidy up this beech forest and

some of the branches are getting thin and long and they need to be pruned back

and also this is the front the bigger trees at the front the smaller trees at

the back and we start with these very low branches which are getting rotten

I'll cut it back sleeves after but their centre with that cut it back to there

and we'll repeat the process here

there's a path there so cut it back to that Arjun these are okay repeat that

here and the head and you start the do you start it's okay now this one will

reduce it to about there and the very bad feeling here and also slightly back

padding so perhaps it can be cut back the further are the buds here and here

and this one again is getting very very long so you have to clean this one back

- growl - here is a noob idea sending with this one we'll pull it back to them

and that one to go

it's on the printer out there muscle click the cuttlebug fearsome you take it

back to there

when this one was to here and that goes to their data track back

that's fun reduce it to more

come back to that

here is a botanist will remove all that

and we'll do the same with this one up here started it through again reduce

back to the Sapodilla so reduce it to that and same thing with this one

but we have gone to the crossings of I'll have to turn them back with a buddy

I'll commit to that and they were that bad yes I commit to them yes I'm going

to reduce it to bounty bear and just again coming to them the fun you produce

a power to hear

even crossing

this is the front and this is the back so we reduced the height of the trees of

the back and also reduce the length of the branches and just general tidy up as

well so we'll continue with that and I was toying with the idea of reducing

this tree to pick up there I've reduced all these that one this one

this one this one this one and again I'm not quite sure how much of that was

missed so we are going to reduce this to here is a branch here this can again be

a new leader so reduce that to that there and also

this is going into each other so we'll take a look and see what's

going on now what so that's the front and the please of

the front I told her the queen of the backers are shorter and that's what I've

basically achieved all right so I've managed to reduce the height of the

trees at the back and the ones at the front to keep them taller I'm going to

have another look to see where further pruning or refinement is needed this one

I'll probably wire it up in this direction

I'm wanted to stock up and now it's too long so I want to have to reduce it

somewhat to move out there and oh maybe you either way but there so that's a

good taking is another but there

well our very our have done as much work on it as I can today and just before I

give it a quick turn there are nine trees in this planting and I have some

which have eight eight is a very auspicious number for the Chinese and

they tend to have eight and the Japanese going to have odd numbers five seven

nine eleven this planting has nine trees in it I also have some which have eight

and that comes from the Chinese Chinese consider eight as an auspicious number

and her indoors is Chinese so I came to follow a bit of both and that's cool the

work that we need one today on this absolutely

oh hello does the main - Ming likes to spend fair amount of time with me and

she's a very quickly cut and I'll try and include a little clip of the things

that she gets up to perhaps immediately after this clip but that's all the work

that I'm going to do on this a group planting and I'll give it a quick turn

and that is the front that's all for today and if you are new and visiting

this channel please click the subscribe button and hit the doubt this little

cone forming bonsai in West London until the next time and now for the

afterthought what is orange and sounds like a parrot

a carrot you dig and mangle do we have

REVIEW & DISCUSSION: 13 REASONS WHY TV SERIES - Duration: 8:56.

Hey, everyone! I hope y'all are having a great day, and today I'll be talking

about the Netflix TV show, "13 Reasons Why," which is a television adaptation of the

2007 YA novel by the same name by Jay Asher. I read this book ages ago, like maybe

in fifth or sixth grade. And honestly, before watching the show, I remembered

almost nothing about it except for the premise. And so because of that, I'm not

judging the series as an adaptation but rather as an independent work. And

consequently, I might criticize this show for things whose blame falls on the

source material rather than the TV show itself, so that's why I'm putting this

disclaimer out there. So "13 Reasons Why" is 13 episodes long with each episode

being roughly an hour long. So the story's about a teenage girl named

Hannah Baker who commits suicide, and she leaves a package of 13 cassette tapes to

be sent around to specific people. Each person that receives these tapes listens

to all of them, and each tape reveals why someone who is among the list of

people who are listening to these tapes somehow contributed to Hannah's decision

to commit suicide. So that's our show's premise and unfortunately that is where

the spoiler free section ends, so if you haven't watched "13 Reasons Why" and you

don't want to be spoiled, I would advise leaving in 3, 2, 1.

Bye! So "13 Reasons Why." I have some complicated feelings about this show

Undoubtedly, I found it very compelling, I thought it was extremely intriguing, and

although at times it could be dreadfully slow, I knew immediately that I was going

to keep watching until the end of the season. I really couldn't stop watching.

It just sucked me in and didn't let me go.

Clay listened to the tapes so slowly. It was almost painful how slow he was, but I guess

that's what happens when you take, like, a really quick read and you stretch it out

into a 13 episode long TV show. I do want to highlight the actors'

performances. I thought Clay and Hannah were portrayed super well. The actors who

played both of those characters were really talented. Sometimes I thought that

Katherine's accent would slip, but overall, she did a really convincing

job. I also thought the actors who played Justin and Jessica were really great as

were Hannah's parents. When I saw that Hannah's dad was Brian d'Arcy James

aka the original King George III from

Hamilton, before Hamilton went to Broadway,

I was shooketh. But anyway, the show, I thought, as a whole was really well-acted.

There are scenes that are really graphic and really emotional, but I thought the

actors always did a really great job of pulling it off super well. The actors as

well as the writers for the show brought so much depth and so much emotion to

these characters and I admittedly cried a lot throughout the TV series,

especially near the end. Sometimes the lines were a little awkward,

pretty cringey, and I was like, "No one talks like this," but that's more of a

writer's thing than an actor's thing. So overall, I thought the show was very

engaging, it was well-acted, and it was also very aesthetic--so it was really

well-shot, really well-edited. And so the complication with my feelings for the

show really arise from the story itself. Obviously, one of the main themes of the

show is suicide, but in this entire discussion of suicide, I feel like they

never really talked about mental illness. And although mental illness isn't a

requisite for someone who's experiencing suicidal thoughts, I feel like they're

very often linked. And by the way, I am clearly not a professional about this

by any means, so if at any point you think that I'm giving false information

or I'm misrepresenting something, please let me know because I'm always here to

learn about these things, too. But anyway. Instead of depression [suicide*] being shown as a

result of depression or another mental illness, I feel like it's almost

represented as a method of revenge-seeking for Hannah.

It's like Hannah's suicide is being turned into some guilt-shaming moral. Like, "Look

what you could have done to save me. If you had only tried harder, if you'd only

done X, Y, & Z, then maybe I'd still be alive." It really comes across like Hannah

committed suicide because of other people, when in reality, I feel like

suicide is often done despite people. So people who experience suicidal thoughts,

they could have tons of friends and tons of family who love them so, so dearly,

but that's not enough to dispel the darkness in their minds. Because love and

care and affection--those things are, of course, very important, but ultimately,

they don't cure mental illness and they don't prevent suicide. So for Clay

to say, "I cost a girl her life because I was afraid to love her." That just

didn't sit well with me, because that's not true. And again, I feel afraid for

saying this, because I don't want to invalidate

anyone's experience who does look similar to Hannah's. Like, if someone out there

has had suicidal thoughts and stopped having those thoughts once they found

someone who really loved them or who really cared for them, I don't want to

invalidate that experience. But I feel like as a whole, in general, in a lot of

cases, loving someone isn't going to prevent them from committing suicide. So

all that being said, I don't think the show creators ever intended to glamorize

or to romanticize suicide. I don't think any of them, for a second, ever set

out to create something that would perhaps encourage someone to follow

Hannah's path. But I have seen a lot of articles that mention this psychological

effect where after you're exposed to suicide, suicides go up. So because of

that effect, if people who are already in a bad place watch this show, the show

could lead them to even worse places and that's not what anybody wants. But I

don't know if that means that shows shouldn't have any graphic, dark scenes

at all. If those things are always censored, then I wonder how impactful of

a discussion could be started. So speaking of discussion, I feel like

that's where "13 Reasons Why" deserves quite a bit of credit. I think "13 Reasons

Why" has reached a very large audience and because of that, it's stimulated a

pretty big discussion. So "13 Reasons Why" has gotten a lot of praise, but it's also

gotten a lot of criticism. But the fact that people are talking about this, that

people are taking this show as an opportunity to bring awareness to

difficult topics like suicide and mental illness and bullying--that's

valuable in itself. Also, there are plenty of people who love the show. They love

how it promotes the message of being more vigilant of other people, noticing

when something's wrong, and doing something about that. And that really is

a beautiful message: to pay more attention to people, to care deeply about

them, to realize that your hurtful actions can have amplified, echoing

effects. I think there's definitely something valuable in the fact that

there are a lot of people who got a really positive message from the show.

But that's also not to invalidate the people who found this show triggering or

harmful or unwatchable in any way because that's a reasonable response, too.

And personally, I'm not here to praise the

show, but I'm not here to condemn it either. As I mentioned, there are parts that

I liked and then there are parts I disliked. I wish they could have promoted a better

vision of someone having suicidal thoughts getting professional help.

I wish the takeaway of the show had been something along the lines of, "Being nice

to people and caring about people is really great and continue doing that, but

you can't save people that way. So guide them to help if they need it," rather than

a message of, "We're all responsible for killing Hannah Baker." So that was the

bulk of what I wanted to talk about, but I also want to touch on the ending and

the possibility of a second season. I personally don't feel a second season is

very necessary, but I do think that they did a pretty good setup for a potential

second season. I was so satisfied, I guess-- that's definitely not the right word, but

hopefully you know what I mean-- when Hannah's parents finally started

listening to the tapes. Because throughout the entire show, I was always

like, "Clay, I need you to give Hannah's mom those tapes.

She needs to know." So when they finally started listening to them at the end, I

was like, "Thank goodness," and I think listening to those tapes is going to

shatter them, but I would still rather have them know. As for the deal with Alex,

I don't know if that was supposed to be a suicide or if that was Tyler shooting

him, because Tyler did have that scene with the guns, but then Tyler also

had that scene where he was reminiscing on Alex protecting him, so I feel like that

thread was left intentionally loose and intentionally ambiguous so that they

could pursue it in the future. I really hope Bryce gets put into jail because

he's literally the worst. I hope Jessica recovers and I hope that she seeks out

help if she needs it. I want her to be okay.

There are many things that I could see happening in a potential second season,

but I honestly kind of like the idea of making up endings for these characters

on my own. So those are some of my thoughts on "13 Reasons Why." Please

let me know what you thought of the show, what kind of message you got from it,

whether you thought that the representations of difficult topics was

well done or poorly done. I would really love to hear it. Thank you so much for

watching, I hope y'all have a fantastic day, and happy reading! Bye!

Lucy Philosophy #19 - "Social" Media - Duration: 4:07.

Hi! I'm not Lucy

but we're gonna talk about social media

social media is great you can connect

you can share you can watch other profiles

you can follow your friends, family

but in the past when social media didn't exist

you were calling them

you send them notes to them, letters

but nowadays it's less and less

and you just don't have a conversation

you just press the like butten and it goes away

it's not getting deep

because the other people can watch too

but if you had a conversation like a phone call

you are more open to each other

because no one can read it

recently I deleted my Facebook and my Twitter

because it had some negative effects on me

I couldn't think clear, if I say this right,

because of all the stuff that I saw on the social media

so what happens if you don't have any social media?

in the beginning it is very hard

because you are addicted

you want to you want to check again

see what's happening with your friends and stuff

and your friends don't contact you anymore

there are examples that

they forgot my birthday

actually so was quite funny

because I didn't also tell anyone about my birthday

people nowadays are so depending on social media

they don't do the usual stuff anymore

for example in the past they had calanders

with birthdays, names and stuff

and in the Netherlands it's very funny

because they keep these always in the toilet

I don't know why

but

it's kind of funny

and you can read when someone's birthday was

but nowadays you're depending on facebook

facebook notifies you

or other social media notify you

when someone's birthday is

so...

I post a picture on Instagram

with a birthday cake and

then they were like: 'Oh! Happy birthday!'

that's kind of weird

isn't it?

it's like you don't exist without social media

people think you have social media

because everyone has it

and when a conversation is like:

'What's your facebook?' or 'What your twitter?'

and your say: 'I don't have it'

people are looking weird at you

you don't have facebook?!

it's like you're a wierd barbarian

or people from the desert or something, without internet

I've had social media and it was a nice experience

but the negative effects on me were much higher

and when I deactivated my account for the first time

after one or two months

people were asking what I was doing

because I was always active in social media

I was very active

going from an active user to

not having social media at all

it's an other life

it felt like an other life

I felt more freedom

I didn't have to watch the screen

and now

when I think about it

it's like six months ago

yeah, I enjoy

I talk to my friends more regularly

and I call them and they call me

I see them more often

without facebook

without twitter

I hope more people would be aware

would take the effort to communicate

go deeper in their thoughts and communications to each other

thanks for watching

and you can leave your comments of course in the comment section

for any questions

or disagreements

I like that

ok bye :)

Why has CHILE stopped GROWING? - VisualPolitik EN - Duration: 10:24.

In the last few decades, Chile has been the Cristiano Ronaldo of Latin America: it was

the country with the highest growth, had the most success, and, sticking with our metaphor

here, "scored the most goals."

Also for many classical liberals, Chile has been the benchmark for years.

We could say they considered the Chilean model some sort of dream in a world full of dark

nightmares.

And it was true, there were good reasons for celebration:

Chile, which once was the poorest Spanish

colony in Latin America became the richest in the region.

It became the country with the highest life expectancy and the country with the best social

services in the entire region.

It is true that inequality is very high in

Chile, but the entire population of Chile has benefited from the prosperity the country

has achieved over the past few decades.

For the past 25 years, the income of the poorest people in the country has increased far more

than the income of the wealthiest people - and their purchasing power has grown six times

larger.

All of this compares very favourable to other Latin-American nations…

As an example: in 1950, the average Chilean income was around a third of a Venezuelan

income.

In a manner of speaking, Venezuelans were three times richer.

A lot has changed since then and, today, Chileans

are much richer than Venezuelans.

They also have a longer life expectancy.

A Chilean lives an average of eight years more than a person born in Venezuela.

Now, comparing Chile to Venezuela, or to Argentina, sure makes Chile look good.

But when the comparison is made with other, more distant, countries, like those in Asia

for example, the figures aren't nearly so nice and, further, it seems as if the country

has stopped growing, which is worse...

(THE CHILEAN SLOWDOWN)

In the last few years, the optimism and success has come to an end.

In Santiago, the capital of the country, the

displays of wealth and prosperity have left, making room instead for demonstrations and

protests.

Anger and despair have taken over, and it's

only logical...

Economic growth has fallen for the last few years, and in 2016, unemployment increased,

while salaries remain frozen.

Further the youth can't find jobs and both investment and exports have fallen.

And the thing is that things aren't looking like they are going to get any better any

time soon.

("In 2016, the Chilean economy grew by 1.5%.

The Central Bank estimations for 2017 are no better, they go from 1 to 2%".

El Mercurio.)

And despite all the growth of the last decades, 3 out of 4 Chileans make less than $700 a

month.

So now you can probably understand the anger - these are salaries that don´t belong to

a rich country.

In other words, the Chilean model seems to

be failing, and there is someone responsible for this slowdown: Michelle Bachelet, the

current president of Chile.

(THE REVOLUTION OF BACHELET)

Michelle Bachelet was the president of Chile from March 2006 to March 2010.

But here, in Chile, a president can't be elected to two consecutive terms.

So Michelle had to wait for 4 years before she could run again for "La Moneda" - the

name of the Presidential Palace in Chile.

Well, after gaining the support of almost all the left-wing parties, including the Socialist

Party and the Communist Party, Bachelet won the elections in November 2013 and a few months

later, in March 2014 she became the President of the Republic of Chile, again.

In this second term, Bachelet decided to go through with reforms which were much more

aggressive than the ones she came up with her first time around.

Her first decision was to increase taxation

on companies by almost 40%.

Quite the dramatic move…

She did it by raising the rates on profits and, also, eliminating a bonus which meant

companies could reduce taxation if the profits were reinvested in Chile.

If you think about it, that rule about reinvestment was actually a really reasonable incentive…

A country like Chile which is far from being rich needs factories, machines, businesses,

technology, and investment.

And this incentive encouraged the growth of all of these things…

So, what's the point of punishing companies providing this much needed investment?

And in addition to all this, taxation on companies wasn't exactly low to begin with.

Take a look at how things are now, after Bachelet punished these companies:

"Chile is the second country with the highest taxation on companies, relatively speaking,

only surpassed by Japan, a much richer country with more consolidated companies".

OECD)

Would you like to know the consequences of this measure?

Well, investment has fallen by 30% since Bachelet came back to La Moneda.

And, of course, less investment means less jobs, less growth and, therefore, less tax

revenue.

In other words, they decided to eat the cake before they could even bake it, and, well,

that rarely works.

That is why there has been a clear international tendency to reduce taxation on companies over

the last few years.

Canada, the UK, Ireland are some of the examples where corporate taxation has been reduced.

The new president of France, Emmanuel Macron has promised to copy those policies.

Well, Chile is headed in the opposite direction.

But wait a second, because that isn't all.

The other two main reforms Bachelet has put through have resulted a very similar outcome.

Labour reform has made recruitment more expensive

and has given more power to trade unions.

Some might like the sound of that, but it

means more costs for companies which when added to the increase on taxation means there

is even less investment, less competition and less exports.

A whole lot of problems.

On the other hand, Michelle Bachelet tried

to pass an ambitious reform to turn the private college education system into a public, free

of charge, service.

The problem is, dear VisualPolitik viewer, that this model is very expensive and some

say the solution to the problems of education is to improve the quality of the universities

themselves instead of making them into factories printing diplomas.

Anyhow, the thing is that Bachelet couldn't pass this reform, but in her attempt to do

so, she turned the whole education system upside down.

For example, she has reduced the investment they had planned before that was set to improve

the quality of the private universities.

But, ok, now you might be wondering: Well,

what do the citizens of Chile think about all of this?

Well, look closely: "62% of Chileans consider the government

of Michelle Bachelet must put off or at least "moderate" the reforms which have been

forced in the country, especially the educational reform" TeleSur.)

It feels as if Bachelet was working towards an ideological change rather than a formula

which could actually solve national problems.

In fact, all these reforms and her hostility towards private corporations have led Chile

to suffer the worst economic period for decades.

And, do you know who is most negatively affected by this situation?

Well, that's the poor and the working class...

After all, the wealthy already have a good standard of living.

The thing is Bachelet leaves the country with a crisis, with a growing public deficit, with

the highest public spending of the last 26 years, and with a damaged economy.

But now that you know all of this, you might be wondering: besides Bachelet, what are the

biggest weaknesses in Chile?

Well, let's see:

(CHILE´S WEAKNESSES)

It is a fact that Chile doesn't like foreign professionals.

It is a bit strange for a country with growth like Chile, that they seem to have been incapable

of attracting foreign professionals.

  Immigration is only 2%, and that is a problem;

it affects entrepreneurship, innovation and trade.

"Why won´t Chile grow?

Because it is full of Chileans!"

Ricardo Hausmann, Director of the Center for International Development of Harvard University.

  Generally speaking, foreign professionals

tend be more entrepreneurial, which helps the economy to diversify.

"In Chile, the rate of entrepreneurship of immigrants multiplies by four the local´s

rate".

A second problem is that the so-called "social ladder" is not working.

That is there are no changes in social classes: born poor, die poor, born rich, die rich.

In fact, the country is controlled by 7 families

whose wealth is equivalent to the 17% of the national GDP.

This might seem unimportant, but when the social ladder and competition don't work,

it means the family name is more important than talent and effort.

The opportunity cost for the country is huge.

And these families usually have quite special

relationships with the power.

Consider this: "Bachelet´s son brought to justice for

a case of corruption.

Andronico Luksic, one of the most powerful men in Chile and the owner of the Bank of

Chile is also involved in the plot."

Yep, the Bachelet has even been spoiled with corruption...

And then, there is the bureaucracy.

I am sure you have heard that Chile is a very

free economy…

well, when you take a closer look you can see it is also very bureaucratic and has all

kinds of regulations.

For instance, Chile can´t import second hand

cars, and foreign workers don't have access to a bank account… so… well, it certainly

could be more free!

Mark Twain said there are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics.

The figures in Chile probably have some of that…

The next elections in the country will take place on the 19th of November 2017, and one

thing is sure: if Chile wants to go back to the good times, they must change direction.

So, what do you think?

What is your opinion of Bachelet?

What do you think of the Chilean model?

Zeiss Distagon 28mm ZE Review F2 vs. Canon EF 28mm F2.8 - Duration: 2:53.

If you own an EF mount camera then the Zeiss ZE Distagon 28mm f/2 and

Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 are two natural choices for a wide-angle lens.

They're both fairly new and offer different features based on what your

needs are. Let's see how the to match up.

(Intro Music)

The Zeiss ZE Distagon 28mm f/2 is gigantic compared to the Canon EF 28mm

f/2.8. The Distagon is also extremely heavy being made almost

entirely from metal and glass. It's an extremely solid lens with no loose parts

on the outer barrel. The EF 28mm however, is much lighter and made almost

entirely from plastic. This lens doesn't feel as solid, especially around the focus

ring which makes it less than ideal for manual focus pulls. That's where the

major difference lies in between the makeup of these two lenses. The Zeiss

ZE Distagon was made in the same vein as many of its vintage predecessors. The

manual focus ring is extremely smooth with enough drag to make clean focus

adjustments. The Canon EF however, operates much differently. It uses both

image stabilization and a fast autofocus system to shoot stunning photographs in

the blink of an eye. Despite these differences both lenses use an

electronic connection to communicate with your camera.

For the Zeiss lens, this connection simply adjusts the aperture within the

lens itself, while the electronic connection for the EF 28mm

helps control the aperture, autofocus, and image stabilization of the lens. If you

plan to use these lenses with any other camera mount then you'll need to buy an

expensive adapter, which provides a bridge for this connection to take place.

If you're planning to use the Zeiss Distagon purely to shoot video then I

suggest you look at the Zeiss Distagon ZF 28mm f/2.8, which is a Nikon

mount lens and has a manual aperture adjustment. When it comes to color

rendition and image quality, it's hard to differentiate between the two. Ideally,

the Zeiss Distagon would have performed far better than the Canon EF simply due

to the fact that it cost twice as much. To the naked eye though, there doesn't

seem to be much of a difference between the two lenses. If anything, I'd say the

Zeiss does a wonderful job of producing pleasing contrast which helps make the

images pop a little more. It's near circular aperture also creates a

very pleasing bokeh, which may blend a little better than the Canon EF. Every

environment produces different results though and the EF still performs on par

with the Zeiss 28mm. Personally, I don't see enough of a difference to

choose the Zeiss lens over the Canon EF based on image quality alone. As a

cinematographer, I'd choose the Zeiss Distagon for its superior build quality, but

that's just about it. The Canon EF 28mm produces fantastic images and

offers additional features at a much more attractive price. Click on the links

provided to learn more about these lenses. Product links are included in the

description below. And as always feel free to subscribe and visit filmformatt.com

Leslie Nielsen: Giving into the Silly - When Stupid is Smart - Duration: 6:00.

(narrator) By now, everyone has a favorite line delivered by one of Leslie Nielsen's

oblivious characters in his signature deadpan style.

(Dutch) "Who are you and how did you get in here?"

(Nielsen as Drebin) "I'm a locksmith.

And, I'm a locksmith"

(narrator) When you watch a Nielsen movie,

it's a war of attrition.

If one joke fails, another immediately follows, and another, then another till eventually

your defenses are breached and you crack.

(Nielsen as Drebin) "You're excited?

You should feel my nipples."

(narrator) And once you give in, the laughter continues.

Nielsen gains the upper hand, and although you might find yourself asking,

"Why am I laughing at this ridiculousness?"

You can't reason against the laughter.

It's best you give in to the silly.

Once you do, it's easier to appreciate that for Nielsen to come off that stupid, it requires

a good deal of intelligence.

To understand what made him special, it's best to take a look at his unique background.

(music playing)

Leslie Nielsen was born in 1926 in Saskatchewan

Canada to European immigrants.

Nielsen's father, a constable in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, was abusive.

Leslie took the first chance he could to leave the house, joining the Canadian Air Force

at 17 during World War II.

Fortunately, Nielsen never saw combat.

This might have been due to the fact that he was legally deaf, which might also explain

why Nielsen's future aloof characters usually

exaggerated their attention while listening to others.

After the military, Nielsen worked as a disc jockey, but quickly moved on to acting in

theatre after receiving a scholarship to the prestigious

Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre.

After performing in summer theatres, narrating documentaries and commercials, and starring

in several dramatic television programs, Nielsen got his major breakthrough

with Michael Curtiz's musical "The Vagabond King."

The film flopped, but it launched Nielsen's dramatic film career as he followed-up with

a major role in the now classic science fiction picture Forbidden Planet.

Everything changed, when after a prolific career in film and television, comedy trio

Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker casted Nielsen in the supporting role of

Dr. Rumack in 1980's Airplane!

(Striker) "Surely, you can't be serious."

(Nielsen as Rumack) "I am serious.

And, don't call me Shirley."

(narrator) Nielsen stole the show and established the persona that would define the second half

of his career.

Leslie's Dr. Rumack is oblivious to the comedic chaos around him, never winking, never

aware of the jokes at hand.

Nielsen more or less replicates this character in police officer Frank Drebin when the team

behind Airplane! cast him in the TV series Police Squad!

Police Squad! was short lived, cancelling after six episodes, but it reached cult status

and widespread success when the show was adapted to film six years later in The Naked Gun:

From the Files of Police Squad!

Naked Gun, and the two sequels that follow, highlights Nielsen at his best.

Frank Drebin is peak Nielsen and maybe even film's most celebrated deadpan character.

But how could Nielsen, the Canadian-born son of a constable who spent the majority of his

life in dramatic roles, become the poster child for some of Hollywood's goofiest comedies?

The answer lies in Nielsen's opening monologue of a Saturday Night Live episode from 1989.

(Nielsen) "Everybody thinks I'm a comedian, but that's not quite true."

"A comedian is someone who says funny things."

"A comic is someone who says things funny."

"I'm neither.

I'm someone who says unfunny things.

I say unfunny things in an unfunny way."

(narrator) This pretty much sums up Nielsen's career.

Regardless of whether it comes off serious or hilarious, Nielsen's performance remains

the same.

Play acting out like a principal.

In fact, most of the appeal of Nielsen's goofball persona erodes when he's trying

to be funny.

Take 1995's Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

In it, Mel Brooks' direction of Nielsen is too heavy-handed.

Most of the gags with Nielsen fall flat because Nielsen's Dracula is trying to be funny.

The true marvel of Nielsen is when he deconstructs modern cinematic conventions by directly playing

into them.

When Nielsen's characters are as serious as the dramatic characters they satirize,

he not only brings attention to the ridiculousness of the scene he's in, but also the silly

action tropes that dominate Hollywood.

(Nielsen as Drebin) "Maybe this will refresh your memory."

(Dock Worker) "I don't know, still kinda hazy" (Nielsen as Drebin) "How about this?"

(Dock Worker) "Yeah, I remember him.

I used to see him around. Why do you want to know?"

(Nielsen as Drebin) "I can't tell you that."

(Dock Worker) "Maybe this will help."

(Nielsen as Drebin) "I really don't think I should." (Dock Worker) "Yeah, you still don't think so?

(narrator) It's true that cinema has a long tradition of deadpan actors, most notable

of which is The Great Stone Face himself, Buster Keaton, but what makes Nielsen unique

is not only his dual career, but his deconstruction of Hollywood filmmaking.

And unlike many of the stony faces before him, Nielsen's comedy almost always relies

on dialogue.

[no sound]

In many ways, Nielsen does to dialogue what comedic greats like Keaton did to visual comedy.

Maybe this is why Roger Ebert called Leslie Nielsen "the Olivier of spoofs."

With as much ease, the theatre trained Nielsen could perform a Shakespearean soliloquy that

could leave an audience in tears.

Whether they were tears of grief or laughter wouldn't matter from the performance

--just the context.

(Nielsen as Rumack) "This woman has to be gotten to a hospital."

(Stewardess) "A hospital?

What is it?"

(Nielsen as Rumack) "It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now."

(narrator) American actress and singer, Virginia O'Brien also made use of the "deadpan"

style while singing during a theatre production of the film Meet The People.

Even though it's said this was initially the product of Stage Fright, O'Brien, like

Nielsen, adapted this "technique" into some of her roles, bringing a unique comedic

form to her performances.

The left is launching another massive attack on President Donald Trump — and this time,

it's revolving around his business empire.

On Monday, Maryland and Washington D.C. officials will sue the commander-in-chief for "violating"

the emoluments clause in the Constitution, claiming he's "accepting payments and

benefits from foreign governments through his businesses.

Breitbart reports:

The announced lawsuit adds to Trump's woes as he grapples with congressional and a special

prosecutor's probes into his campaign's alleged ties with Russia, which US intelligence

agencies say meddled aggressively in the 2016 election to held Trump win.

Since taking power in January, Trump has turned day to day control over his real estate empire

and other assets to his adult sons, but not sold them off as many said he should to avoid

conflicts of interest.

The lawsuit will be filed Monday by the attorneys general of Maryland and Washington in the

US District Court for the District of Maryland, the Washington Post reported.

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh said the case is about Trump's failure to separate

his personal interests from his presidential duties.

Frosh told the Post that the emoluments clause mandates that "the president put the country

first and not his own personal interest first."

A key case in the dispute is a hotel that Trump opened last year by leasing a large,

stately building that used to be a central post office, just down the road from the White

House.

Aside from the issue of the foreign payments ban, Maryland and Washington complain that

the presence of a Trump hotel hurts competing hotels in their jurisdictions.

what do you think about this?

Trump's Visit To Britain Said To Be On Hold Due To Worries Of Large Scale Protests - Duration: 3:04.

Trump's Visit To Britain Said To Be On Hold Due To Worries Of Large-Scale Protests

by Tyler Durden

Donald Trump's controversial visit to the UK is on hold, according to the Guardian,

which reports that the US president, leery of protests upon his arrival, spoke with Prime

Minister Theresa May and told her "he didnt want to proceed with a state visit to U.K.

until he received more support for the trip."

Trump reportedly told May that he did not want to come if there were "large-scale protests

and his remarks in effect put the visit on hold for some time."

The call, which was leaked by a Downing Street adviser who was in the room, was made in recent

weeks and according to the Guardian explains why there has been little public discussion

about Trump's visit.

The Guardian also notes that Trump's statement "surprised May."

As a reminder, May invited Trump to Britain seven days after his inauguration when she

became the first foreign leader to visit him in the White House.

She told a joint press conference she had extended an invitation from the Queen to Trump

and his wife Melania to make a state visit later in the year and was delighted that

the president has accepted that invitation.

While many UK diplomats, including former national security advisor Lord Ricketts, said

the invitation was premature, it was impossible to rescind once made.

Trump's visit prompted further controversy recently after the US president went personally

after the mayor of London in tweets following an attack there earlier this month.

Last week, London Mayor Sadiq Khan called for the British government to cancel a state

visit from Trump.

I dont think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in

the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for, Khan said in an

interview with Britains Channel 4 News.

When you have a special relationship it is no different from when you have got a close

mate.

You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong.

There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong, Khan added.

The acting US ambassador to the UK, Lewis Lukens, clashed with Trump last week by praising

the London mayor, for his strong leadership over the London Bridge and Borough Market

terror attack.

As the Guardian adds, the UKs traditional effort to act as a bridge between the US and

Europe has become more complex since the vote last year to leave the European Union and

Trumps support for policies that have angered Euroean allies.

In light of the latest political turbulence in the UK following the disastrous, for the

Tories, general election last week, it was unclear if Trump plans to cancel his trip

to

the UK altogether.

2015-2016 F150 Billet Lower Grille Overlay Review & Install - Duration: 2:30.

What's going on, guys?

Adam here with americanmuscle.com, and today, I'm bringing you a quick overview of the polished

Billet Lower Grille Overlay, fitting all 2015 and newer F-150s.

If you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150 and you're looking to make the front end of

your truck stand out from the pack without removing the factory lower grille insert,

then this polished billet lower grille overlay may be for you.

So, this lower billet grille overlay offers a classic styling for the front end of your

F-150, while making it a very simple install.

Now, I do want to point out, before we jump into things, that this will require you to

drill four small holes in the factory lower grille insert, just to ensure the proper mounting

of this one here.

Now, if you're not looking to do any modification to your factory lower grille, no matter how

simple, then this option may not be for you.

So, this overlay was manufactured using the advanced CAD data directly from Ford to ensure

a perfect OEM fit.

It was constructed out of a durable lightweight billet aluminum to create these four-millimeter

horizontal bars you see here, and it was finished in a bright polished finish to give it that

show car appearance.

Now, there definitely are a lot of options as far as lower grille overlays and lower

grille direct replacements on the market.

The market can range anywhere from the low $100s to about $200.

This particular polished billet overlay option is coming in at just a low $100, making it

a budget-friendly option for your frontend of your truck.

Now, keep in mind that some of the options on the market are overlays, some of them are

replacements, and some of them are only specific to certain F-150 models, such as the EcoBoost

and the 5.0, so you want to make sure you're picking the one that fits with your vehicle,

specifically.

This option is a universal option, fitting all '15 and newer F-150s, regardless of the

certain model.

So, the installation, as I mentioned before, will be extremely straightforward.

It's definitely something you can do in your driveway.

Once you pop the factory lower grille insert off, you will be required to drill four small

holes.

And as you can see in the back of this overlay, there are four pre-drilled spots, so you'll

have a template, you'll know exactly where you're drilling.

All the hardware is included in the kit for the nuts, bolts and brackets, so once you

get the factory lower grille off, you can tighten that all down and pop it right back

into the vehicle.

From start to finish in your driveway, you're looking at spending just under an hour for

this installation, making it an extremely simple install for anybody to do.

I would definitely give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, just because

anybody can do it if you're willing to do a little bit of drilling to get this mounted

up.

Now, if you're thinking about going with this option, it can really change up the frontend

of your F-150, especially when paired with a matching upper grille, as well.

Now, if you're interested in getting this for your '15 or newer F-150, the polished

lower billet grille overlay is available right here at americanmuscle.com.

In The Cave Episode #36: How To Schedule Your Social Media FAST - Duration: 4:38.

- In this episode we talk about how to do your

social media in one hour per week,

and how to count to 52.

- Yep.

- Let's do the show.

- What's up guys? Welcome to another episode

of "In The Cave". I'm Justin Kerby.

- I'm Jordan Scheltgen.

- Today we're talking about how to do your social media

in under one hour per week.

That's four hours per month.

How many is that a year?

- 48 hours a year? Boom.

That's uhhh, that's not

that's not correct.

- What's 12 times 4?

(laughs)

It's 48, I nailed it.

- Yeah, you nailed it.

- Yeah, thanks Taylor! (Jordan laughs)

Taylor's shaking his head.

- Punk'd him!

- I'm good at math.

- Okay. Let's get to the content.

Our first point, is to create a content calendar.

- Yes.

- What we do, and--

- What is a content calender?

- Okay, so a content calendar is where you plan out,

and you can do this for the next 6 to 12 months,

where you create a document.

It has all your dates in it,

it has themes that you might wanna do, in each month,

so maybe it's the spring, you wanna do spring cleaning,

renovating, whatever that may be.

You're also gonna punch in all your important dates,

so Valentine's Day, you don't wanna miss your

Valentine's Day post.

Have all of your holidays that you wanna hit

in the calendar.

From this, this will help you actually break down

into your weekly content.

- Yep. You fill out the calendar as you go,

usually you want to stay at least a couple weeks in advance,

if something comes up in those couple weeks

you can make changes to it,

but it's basically a place where you fill out

all of your social media content,

and you go from there, you schedule it after this.

- But where, so, you know, we wanna fill out the calendar,

where do we get our content from, for the calendar?

- Yeah, exactly. So this is part two,

where you're gonna fill it out from.

What we recommend is you use a service like Feedly.

Now there's a lot of different ways that you could do this,

you could just curate a bunch of content on your own,

but what Feedly lets you do, is it's kind of like

Google's old RSS reader,

it lets you pick the blogs and the websites

that are important to you and your brand,

and it sends all that stuff into one nice, neat place.

So, if you are promoting, a car dealership,

you can get all of your car news and your car blogs

into one spot,

you can then go into that Feedly account,

and use all of that content,

take it and put it into your social media calendar.

So it just creates one nice clean place

that you can find all of your content,

it's 100 percent free,

and we'll have links to all that stuff

in the show notes below.

- The next point: use a scheduler.

- So, look at Buffer, or HootSuite,

we've used both, we prefer Buffer for our personal accounts,

and our business account here at Cave Social.

This lets you schedule stuff,

two, three weeks out in advance, and

really stay ahead of the game.

- Works for Facebook, works for LinkedIn,

Pinterest, Google Plus, Twitter, all the big ones,

except for Instagram, who won't let them,

but yeah, it makes it really simple,

so basically you've got your editorial,

your content calendar,

you fill that out using Feedly.

Once it's all filled out, you put it into Buffer,

it's all scheduled for the week.

- So now what this does, is it gives you some framework

around your social media plan,

and you're never going to go a day without posting.

What we still want to do though,

we do want to sprinkle in authentic content,

in the moment content,

so you'll have your themes,

but if you see something, or you're meeting a client,

or you had a great customer come in to your coffee shop,

snap that selfie, put it right up to Instagram,

Facebook, Twitter, etc.

- Like we always say, that in the moment stuff,

where you or your business or your employees

are in the photos,

that stuff always does better,

videos also always do excellent on social media,

so think about that stuff,

and sprinkle it in throughout the week.

Another reason you're gonna want to check in

on all your stuff throughout the week

is just in case something happens.

Anytime you hear a news event that could somehow affect

the content, or maybe even take it in the wrong way,

if they're saying all--

- If there's a tragedy, or say there's something,

that happens in a certain town,

you don't want to have a bunch of stuff up

around that town, or something,

just really check and be sensitive, guys,

you know, when there's a tragedy,

let's just not post, take that stuff down,

check every day.

- But that's the great thing about having a calendar,

is once you see something happen,

you can go into the calendar and make sure you edit it

so that it's appropriate content going forward.

- Exactly.

- All of that, one hour per week.

Taylor, can you confirm four hours per month

is 48 per year?

Yes, we can confirm that, 12 x 4 = 48. Perfect.

Thanks for watching guys.

If you enjoyed this content,

and you wanna see more of our math skills,

hit the subscribe button in the bottom right hand corner.

For now, I'm Justin Kerby.

- I'm Jordan. (laughs)

- 12 times 4. 48.

- See ya.

- Hey guys. Just wanna point out that there are

indeed 52 weeks in the actual year.

So, 1 hour per week times 52 is...

- I'm not doing this.

- Nailed it!

- 48.

(laughs)
