ROASTED CHANA DAL CHUTNEY II भुनी हुई चना दाल की स्वदिष्ट चटनी II BY VIJAYALAKSHMI II - Duration: 5:14.

Hi this is vijaya & welcome to Vijaya's recipes.

Our today's recipe is a Chutney recipe which we will be making with Roasted Chana Dal or Bengal Gram.

This chutney tastes very good with south Indian breakfast i.e Idli, Medhu Vada, Uttapam & Dosa.

So let's make Roasted Bengal Gram or Roasted Chana Dal Chutney.

To make Roasted Chana Dal Chutney we have taken 1/2 Cup Grated Coconut, 1 cup Roasted Chana Dal

4-5 Green Chillies, 8-10 Garlic Pods,1/2 tsp Cumin Seed

1/2 Cup Coriander

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp Tamarind, 1 inches ginger piece finely chopped

Water to grind chutney

For tempering we have taken 3 tsp oil,

1/2 tsp Asafoetida, 1 tsp Split Black Gram, Curry Leaves

Dry red chillies & 1 tsp Mustard Seeds

So let's make Roasted Chana Dal Chutney

We'll put the roasted chana dal into blender jar

Grated Coconut

We'll add some water

Let's blend it

Now we'll add all the remaining ingredients one by one.

Green chillies

Garlic cloves

Coriander leaves

Ginger

Cumin Seeds

Tamarind

Salt

Adding little bit of water

Now we'll blend all the ingredients

Our chutney is ready, now we'll take it out in a bowl and will add tempering into it.

We have transfer the chutney into a bowl and now we'll add the tempering.

We'll add 3 tsp Oil in the tempering pan.

Once oil is heat up we'll add mustard seeds

Adding Split Black Gram

Asafoetida

curry leaves

And dry red chllies

Turnig the gas off

Adding the tempering into the chtuney

Mix it well

Our roasted chana dal or bengal gram chtuney is ready

The reason we're doing this is because I ended up dropping out of Fontana High School

I was a straight-F student here at Fontana High school, and I did not finish school.

I ended up going to community college

Where a professor changed my life, a professor reached into his wallet to give me

$100

$100 completely changed my life because I was able to buy the book to stay in the class

I ended up getting accepted to the University of California at Berkeley

I feel that a person can change an individual's life with a simple gesture

So that is what we are dedicated to do

We look at all the graduates here on stage

And it makes us sad, a little bit, because we know that every single one of them deserves support

So it's my wife and I effort to make sure that we are going to continue to raise funds

every year, as much as we can, to give as much of our money away as possible

To help every single one of these students. Our goal is to make sure that in a couple of years we can give everyone here, a laptop

The recipients of these awards wrote really powerful stories so the 26 people

we had about

350 Submissions. The 26 here had extremely powerful

I actually cried with somebody of these, they're very touchy and I love to

Congratulate them but like I said every single story we read was really really challenging, and that's that's why we're here

On this occasion, I will talk about 5 Common Signs of Osteoporosis that you should to know.

Knowing the early 5 Common Signs of Osteoporosis

can help you receive the best treatment before it becomes serious or even life threatening.

So let's get started with a closer look at what Osteoporosis is first

Osteoporosis is more common in women than men.

Eighty percent, or four out of five, of the 10 million people who have it are women.

There are several reasons for this. Women have lighter, thinner bones to begin with.

They also lose, loose bone rapidly after menopause.

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by low bone mass and loss of bone tissue that may lead to weak and fragile bones.

This increases your chances of a bone fracture or break.

Although your bones are usually very strong, they consist of living tissue that continually breaks down and rebuilds.

As you age, it's possible for old bone to break down faster than the building of new bone.

This causes your bones to have holes and become more fragile.

And here are 5 Common signs of Osteoporosis that you should to know;

1. Having a fragility fracture.

This is often the first Common sign or indication that you have osteoporosis.

If you have osteoporosis, the force of a simple fall to the ground

(from the height of a standard chair or less) is often enough to fracture your bone.

A simple fall to the ground such as this does not usually cause a fracture in someone without osteoporosis.

A bone fracture after a minor injury like this is known as a fragility fracture.

You may have a fragility fracture before you are diagnosed with bone loss or osteoporosis.

This means that your wrist, back, hip,

or another bone is fractured as a result of a mild to moderate trauma,

such as falling from below your standing height.

Mild impact caused by tripping, falling,

or hitting an object that might not have fractured or broken a bone in previous years

can cause future fractures when you develop bone loss or osteoporosis.

But the most common fragility fractures occur in the hip, wrist and the bones that make up the spine.

A fractured bone in an older person can have serious consequences in some people.

For example, about half the people who have a hip fracture

are unable to live independently afterwards because of permanent mobility problems.

If you're over age 50 and you suffer a fracture after something as simple as a slip on the pavement or a sudden movement,

it is a sign that you have weak bones and need assessment and most likely treatment for osteoporosis.

Whether a vertebral compression fracture, a broken wrist or a broken hip,

any unexplained fracture or one caused by a low-trauma incident, should not be ignored.

Be sure to 'make your first break your last' by asking for testing,

and staying on your osteoporosis treatment if it has been prescribed.

If you experience this kind of fracture and are older than 50,

it recommends talking to your doctor about bone-loss screening or other tests for bone loss.

Depending on the results, you may need to discuss treatment options that can help reduce bone loss.

2. Loss of Height.

The second common sign of Osteoporosis to look out for is Loss of Height.

A loss of height or change in posture, such as stooping over, can be signs that you might have osteoporosis.

A stooped back can occur as a result of multiple osteoporotic fractures in your spine, which cause it to lose its normal curvature.

This can develop gradually without being noticed.

As the vertebral bones in your spine weaken and start to collapse

there may be loss of height, even without a noticeable stooped back.

Some loss of height occurs naturally as we age

but it happens more rapidly and due to a different mechanism in people with osteoporosis.

If you've lost more than 3 cm in height (just over 1 inch), it's a sign that something may be wrong.

It's a concern because one vertebral fracture often leads to more fractures

and you may end up with a series of debilitating fractures if left untreated.

A spinal fracture can also steal inches from your height.

When a bone in your back fractures, it literally collapses onto itself, causing you to shrink.

If you have a height loss of more than two inches or you have curvature of the spine

these are symptoms to pay attention to.

These changes suggest that osteoporosis is affecting your vertebrae.

3. Sudden back pain.

The third common sign of Osteoporosis is Sudden back pain.

There are many causes of back pain, but osteoporosis may contribute to these symptoms.

When the bones lack sufficient strength to hold the weight of your body, injury can occur.

Unexplained back pain may raise the consideration of a bone health problem.

The pain may be so severe that you are immobile, or it may be less severe.

In the latter case, you may then put off going to the doctor and simply wait for the back pain to subside.

In people with osteoporosis,

a vertebral fracture can occur spontaneously or as a result of something as trivial as bending over to tie a shoelace.

If you've had experiences sudden or very intense back pain for no discernable reason should investigate further

it is a potential warning sign of vertebral fractures due to osteoporosis.

you should ask your doctor for a thorough examination that includes a bone health assessment.

4. Persistent back pain.

The fourth common sign of Osteoporosis is Persistent back pain.

Persistent back pain could be a sign that you have a spinal fracture, one of the signs of osteoporosis.

Spinal fractures occur when the bones in your back become so weak that they fracture and collapse.

They can happen without warning-even during ordinary activities such as bending over to pick up a newspaper.

The pain can be severe, requiring a long recuperation.

But sometimes all you feel is a dull, aching pain across the middle of your back and bottom of your shoulder blades.

5. Thyroid Troubles.

Thyroid Troubles is another common sign in people with Osteoporosis.

If you have hyperthyroidism, which is a condition caused by overproduction of the thyroid hormone thyroxine,

you may want to schedule a bone-density test right away.

Thyroxine speeds up the body's metabolism, so it breaks down bone faster than the body can make it.

Having hypothyroidism can also put your bones in jeopardy.

That's because doctors may prescribe a synthetic version of thyroxine to treat hypothyroidism,

which is caused by an underproduction of the thyroid hormone.

When the prescribed dose is too high, the end result is the same: The body breaks down more bone than it builds.

Although bone loss can happen to anyone with too much thyroxine,

women who have other osteoporosis risk factors such as being peri or postmenopausal have an even greater risk.

Are you worried that you or someone you know, may have Osteoporosis?

Pete Lau is at it again - he�s teasing the OnePlus 5, this time by posting a black & white

photo taken with the upcoming flagship.

From what we know of 5�s camera, it will have a DxO-tuned 16MP dual camera (or 20MP?).

Is one of the two sensors black and white, similar to Huawei and Leica�s setup?

This B&W photo suggests so, but it�s also possible

that it�s just a monochrome mode of a regular camera.

Unfortunately, Weibo (where Lau posted the photo) obliterated any EXIF clues.

The OnePlus 5 is coming June 20 (next Tuesday).

It will feature impressive specs and (most likely) a higher price.

Refurbished Galaxy Note FE launches on July 7 with Bixby onboard.

Samsung's refurbished Galaxy Note7 units are almost ready to launch,

as it turns out.

The refurbished model will be called Galaxy Note FE, a new report from the company's home

country of South Korea claims.

We've heard this name before, but Galaxy Note7R has also been floated in the rumors as a possible

moniker for the handset.

Anyway, the Note FE is apparently set to launch in Korea on July 7, one week later than initially

thought.

The reason for the delay is that Samsung decided to make more units

available - 450,000 compared to the 300,000 it originally planned.

That's a 50% stock increase so we assume the Korean carriers

are confident that they'll sell these quite well.

The Note FE will be the first smartphone in that series to come out with Bixby preinstalled,

the same report says.

That, however, only refers to the Bixby Home feed of cards

that resides to the left of your leftmost homescreen.

It looks like Bixby Voice, the virtual assistant you can talk to

(at least in Korean), won't be included.

The refurbished models will retail for around KRW 700,000 (about $618 or 552� at the current

exchange rates).

It's unclear when the Galaxy Note FE will hit other markets, but

we do expect its global debut to be made in South Korea - so wherever else it launches,

it will do so after July 7.
