Hey guys, Brainy here and welcome to another episode of Tech News.
The series on this channel where I keep you up to date on some of the most important tech
topics of the day or week.
So, with that being said, let's get right into the tech news.
Razer has dropped some brand new headphones specifically designed for the Xbox One and
PS4.
The new headphones are called the Thresher Ultimate and they come in separate versions
for both Microsoft's and Sony's consoles.
The PS4 Version features blue highlights while the Xbox version has Green highlights.
They both connect over 2.4 GHz wireless instead of Bluetooth and offer a range of around 150
feet.
The headphone designs themselves are pretty slick if you ask me and they do seems to be
strong and hold together nicely.
The new headphones include a double headband design, which allow them to offer both a durable
aluminium band as well as a softer padded cushion.
They sell for $250 and will be shipping out later this month.
Google has hired an Apple Chip Architect and it could possibly be to create custom chips
for the Google Pixel Phones.
So, According to Variety, a recent hire at Google suggests big changes are coming for
the future editions of the Pixel.
Manu Gulati, who was a micro architect at Apple, had joined Google, and the announcement
was made through his Linkedin Profile.
With a new title of lead SoC architect, Gulati's move could, on the surface, arguably point
to any number of Google SoC (system on a chip) developments.
The company currently has none.
It's a new position for Google, which currently relies on third-party chips for all their
products.
LG has a new 34 inch Ultrawide monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate.
LG's latest ultrawide monitor has been designed with gamers in mind.
The new 34-inch monitor (34UC89G) features a 2560 x 1080 display with NVIDIA G-Sync and
a 144Hz refresh rate.
The 21:9 monitor is a successor to the 34UC79G from LG, which also ran at 144Hz, but supported
FreeSync instead of G-Sync.
The 34UC89G features a widened color gamut, unique display modes including black stabilizer
and dynamic action sync, and the refresh rate can be overclocked to 166Hz.
The 34UC89G comes in at $999, and will be available at retailers including Amazon, Newegg,
and B&H later today.
And before I even move on to the next bit of Tech Stuff, I'm just gonna say that I'm
honestly still confused as to how these companies come up with names for their Monitors.
So, here's a bit of news that includes both LG and Google.
According to an article on The Verge, LG is probably gonna be making the next Pixel Phone.
LG could possibly replace HTC as the manufacturer of at least one of Google's next Pixel devices.
It's internally codenamed as "taimen" 9to5Google dug through the Android Issue Tracker
and found that an LG employee had logged an issue and was subsequently asked by a Google
employee to move the bug report to an LG / taimen specific board.
This could indicate that LG is deeply involved in the manufacturing and creation of the new
taimen device.
Also, an editor from Android Police confirmed that LG would manufacture "taimen".
9to5Google points out that a rumor earlier this year speculated that Google wanted to
invest in LG's flexible OLED displays for its next phone.
Maybe that has something to do with it.
Or maybe Google wasn't satisfied with HTC's manufacturing scale, given that both the Pixel
and Pixel XL experienced severe shipping delays.
The 128GB Pixel wasn't in stock for nearly two months.
At the time, Google said demand "exceeded [its] expectations."
In other Pixel news, Google was thought to be developing up to three new devices — replacements
for the Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as a device that was bigger than even the Pixel XL.
Now, however, Android Police reports that one of those three devices is being scrapped,
and the taimen will replace the current Pixel XL.
Only two devices are likely to be released this year.
The other Pixel in development appears to be codenamed "walleye."

Mainly, new games.
This will be quick.
We got to see a new trailer for Uncharted : The Lost Legacy, A Seven minute long gameplay
segment of their new open world Zombie survival game called Days Gone, There's an upcoming
remake of Shadow of the Colossus, and we also got to see some Gameplay for Insomniac's
upcoming spiderman game for the PS4.
