What's up guys, in today's video I just wanted to talk
about Emma Chamberlain and her presence on social media because I find it really
interesting and I've talked to a lot of people about these topics such as Emma's
fans thinking everyone is copying, her her whole like merchandise scam
situation, and also her bullying scandal and just things like that
so I just wanted to talk about it, and also I'm not making this video for views at
this point honestly if you even put Emma's name in your title you're not
getting a views because YouTube is just so flooded with Emma Chamberlain that if
you look up her name the only thing that comes up is just her videos no one
else's so also the best time if you want to use Emma's name for views was to do
when she was first blowing up and I know of a lot of youtubers that did that and now
their channels are growing fast and I found them through their Emma videos and
now they are doing their own thing and I'm not going to name names because I love their videos
but those youtubers they use that time when Emma was first growing very wisely
so props to them however that's not why I'm making this video so. So I'm just
gonna be getting ready and just talking about Emma I would first like to say
that I personally really enjoy watching Emma's videos I find them really
entertaining and I like them I don't like them as much as I used to but I do
still watch her videos when she post them so this first topic I'm gonna be
talking about is the whole you're copying Emma's editing the thing that is
really popular now like if you upload a video all of a sudden you're copying
Emma Chamberlain and that's just the tea so so Emma became really like well-known
because she was being herself on camera which is something that doesn't really
happen a lot I guess I don't really know so she was being herself and then her
editing it was just like really funny when she first started off it on YouTube
however she was editing just like everyone else
nothing special I don't know what made her start editing the way that she did
but it worked out really well so go her however people like to think that Emma
invented editing. people like to think that her editing style is only her
editing style and that no one else has ever or can ever edit like she does
people like to somehow think that she invented all the effects that comes with Final Cut
Pro which people paid $300 for so, but news flash
she didn't invent the fisheye effect she also did invent Ken Burns she also
didn't invent the whole editing note type thing she didn't invent anything in
her videos that she does she used all those features that Final Cut Pro offers
in a really well put together away which is why she grew so fast but also the
YouTube algorithm has been working in her favor for the past year that she's
been on YouTube now if anyone does something even remotely similar to Emma
they are immediately copying her and Emma's fans they all come together and
come on everyone's video saying you're trying so hard the Emma Chamberlain like
your copy Emma Chamberlain just all these things which is really annoying
because even I have been told that I'm editing like Emma Chamberlain which
first of all I have my own receipts that I can show you that prove I am NOT
copying her because exactly over a year ago I was editing "like Emma Chamberlain"
a year ago I believe she wasn't even on YouTube yet and if she was I had no
idea who she was no one knew who Emma Chamberlain was back then literally no
one knew who she was back then and I was doing
the whole like zoom in like earthquake shaking effect all the way back then and
so were a lot of other people so now all of a sudden I'm getting told I'm copying
Emma Chamberlain even though I was doing it like before I even knew that she
existed.

and that's also the same case with a lot of other
youtubers, and I'm not saying this is Emma's fault or like all these other creators
are being called out for copying her but it's actually honestly if you think
about it's actually a really good marketing technique because then all of
Emma's fans go over to other Creators pages who may not even know who Emma is
now they probably do but like back then they probably didn't and all Emma's fans
are like you're copying Emma Chamberlain and then those creators
are like wait who's Emma and they look up her name and they see her and that
helps Emma grow so if you think about it's not the best marketing technique
but it works and obviously Emma didn't like plan it that way maybe unless
she did then she'd be really smart but so I have literally made no sense at
home at her time but basically what I'm saying is that Emma didn't invent the
way that she edits and it's actually quite annoying how people have to
comment on every single person's video saying you're copying Emma Chamberlain
when they're not like once again Emma did not invent the effects that Final Cut
Pro gives you like I've seen videos on YouTube saying like how to edit like Emma
Chamberlain.
like that is a lot, like that is really... like whattt you know?
but it's just really annoying because there are so many creators who I see who
don't copy Emma but their comments are like you're copying Emma like they're
not like they have been doing this way longer that she has like when I was told
I was copying Emma I mentioned my video where I did the same editing that she
does because I have been on YouTube for over five years now
if you weren't aware, yes, I've been on YouTube for over five years and it's
really crazy to me how someone told me that I was copying her when I have been
editing the way that she has for a while now
and that's also the same thing I love other creators I assume can also say but
since Emma got famous off of it it's like no one else can
so that whole like editing thing that I was talking about that like it didn't
make any sense but it's like really weird it's like it's like only Emma
Chamberlain can do it she I trademarked editing style and it's really run away
the second thing that would like to talk about is her bullying scandal so this is
like a thing that Emma hasn't talked about at all
I know up but a lot of people have talked about it but I find this
situation very interesting because since Emma hasn't talked about it no one
really knows like what the truth is the only thing that emma has said about it
is that it's a rumor and that she has tweeted about it and then her dad said
something about it's like all I know but other than that that's about it and this
situation to me is really strange because apparently people from Emma's
school we're gone involved there's like this and I Who am I used to pick on I
don't even know honestly in my opinion for the situation if you cared is that I
don't care about it like almost real like hardcore evidence that just that
isn't just dm's without people's usernames if I actual evidence comes out
then yikes hashtag Emma Chamberlain's over party
will start trending but as of right now but dm's I don't show a username and
just idioms with crazy like grammar errors don't convince me and honestly I
see some people commenting say saying like how much Chamberlain's a bully like
why do you like her honey like what proof do you have like there was
literally none like the proof is just so bad about it's not even worth like
looking into you know like that evidence that they have to
prove that I'm a Chamberlain as a bully is actually again sane like it's not
good in any way and apparently she told Lily that she isn't gonna take her to
the top with her so I mean okay I don't I don't know how not is accurate but
okay but that holy bullying thing to me just seems ridiculous but however I
don't like when people say Emma would never do that like honey you don't know
Emma like maybe she wouldn't ever do that bug you don't know so you don't
know her you don't you know so for the boring thing let's you don't really have
that strong of an opinion for it like I really don't care that much but they
care about bullying obviously because I'm I took my last video like I talked
about how I'm my own personal issues with it but there's very no proof that
emma has ever done that to someone the only thing that I do really like find a
little iffy is the whole like Emma playlist thingy but also I just think
Emma in her video was over exaggerating because it's YouTube like duh but I
don't know that situation I don't really care for so not my business I really
care anyway but for another topic anyways but now I'm gonna be talking
about the whole like low-key clothing line situation which I actually do have
like a strong opinion about so the first thing that I would like to say is Loki
is extremely extremely overpriced and I think I want to say is I don't
understand the marketing technique about blurring out the items that you're
selling like an other photos you can see what the items look like but it's like
don't understand like that concept Emma went on a livestream
though saying how she saying how the prices weren't run by her and that she
wishes that they were lower and things like that however then she went on and
said how if you think the prices are higher that you don't like them then
just don't buy it and if you don't buy it the next doesn't care
trying me like I agree with her like anything the prices are too high don't
buy it like if you're gonna fiercely complain about it don't spend your money
on it I have other people want the stuff but they have the money for it then they
can go ahead and buy it now though I think that I don't get is she try to
justify the price of the 3-pack of scrunchies which is $25 and her
justification was that their hand-sewn and that they're good quality and and
that's $25 because it is a 3-pack and although I understand her point that her
justification isn't good at all because for example the scrunchie in my hair it
is a satin material with like elastic inside like it's an almost crunchy and
it's really cute it's pink and everything I love it I have had it for
years now you guess what my mom made it for me my mom also made me like ten
other scrunchies all she had to do buy the fabric buy some elastic and then she
hand-sewn them together it was probably like ten dollars total to make by like
20 scrunchies of different sizes like all she had to do just go over to a
fabric store get the elastic and get the satin material and get the satin fabric
and then I'll try to do was stitch it shut it's not that hard but I'm a her
justification was that it's twenty-five dollars because it's hand sewn and
that's good quality and they're really cute they're really well done and like
but literally if you can imagine right like someone in a literal like place was
sewing every single scrunchie so obviously we want to pay them as much as
possible because they did all that manual labor not you know like whatever
like that's a lot of work and so that's gonna make it cost more sound like we
throw up through it in a factory and made them like we hand sewed
of it and it's a really great company they have like they you know everybody
is like it's really the people there are all really into it like they you know
anyway so that's that that's kind of update with that I wanted to address
that but yeah the scrunch that on top of my head is amazing quality it's also
hand-sewn takes like three seconds to hand so I've had it for years it's great
and it costs like two cents to make so and also not I'm thinking about it
myself was probably 10 dollars for like 20 it was actually PI less than $10
because the amount of fabric I don't think that was that much in the last
think it's like a few cents depending how much you get so probably like a less
than $10 for a lot of scrunchies of different colors in the sizes and things
but I have a brown one and I'm on made and it's like small and display probably
like a dollar to make but here's the thing
I did buy Emma scrunchies and the reason why I bought them is because she was
selling them on dough and I love dough dough it's a great app and I haven't got
enough coins where I could get free shipping and the money off so I got
Emma's scrunchies the twenty five dollar ones for 15 dollars which is like works
for me so I didn't pay the full twenty five dollars for his punches which is
why I bought them and also I wanted a yellow scrunchie and a white scrunchie
and a red scrunchie and my mom didn't want to make me one so and now I have a
job so I can afford it so yes the pokemon is overpriced but I do agree
with Emma and that if it's overpriced if you're gonna complain about just don't
buy it which I agree with like yes I think it's
overpriced but that is why I didn't buy the $40 tank top that's why I didn't buy
the other items if they would have had to pay like $30 for them with like my
discounts and things which is where I thought the scrunchie seems like the
cheapest thing and I got them for $15 which it sounds good to me
so so I do a girth Emma in those for those reasons by dudas free and that the
twenty five dollar scrunchies twenty-five dollars is a good price
Bazar hand-sewn I disagree with that part it's as I have said my scrunchies
are hand-sewn and they cost less than $25 another thing that I would like to
talk about is how I have noticed that she doesn't really talk to her fans and
I don't know if I'm right about this so but the whole time I'm me talking about
this I may be like completely wrong so I don't get mad at me but from what I've
seen even when she was like had very few subscribers I have noticed that she has
never really interacted with any of her fans on Instagram she does follow some
fan accounts but I've never seen her was fond to a comment from a fan and I've
never seen her I've seen her comment on like a fans Instagram before it's
congratulating after having so many followers and say deserve it it's like
one was like Emma's closet instagrams which I Falls and I love
their post I love them anyways but other than that like on YouTube I'm saying
this by the way but before she was like well no it's obviously now so really
hard to respond to everyone like it's not possible but like I got you get it
but I just think it's really weird to me because it seems like she has never
really tried to talk to people I tried to talk to fans maybe I'm not completely
wrong if I'm wrong then please like nicely correct me what am I saying my
name in her just seems like emma has like never really put effort into
connecting with her fans before I don't know I maybe I completely wrong about
this like what I think is a but well from what I have seen which is it a lot
it just looks like Emma doesn't really connect with her fans a lot I might be
wrong I probably am wrong so I don't dislike Emma so I don't think I do as I
mention this video before I do watch her videos
this video is so stupid oh my god I look cute no offense I know you have too much
makeup on I don't really want in my eyebrows honest I might just like color
them in just a little bit but that's like all I really want to do I just
think that Emma is doing a great job on YouTube killing the game there are some
things about like her presence what there are some things about like her fan
base that bug me to sell a little also I think it's like crazy how she is friends
with so many like big youtubers now but also like keeping like her like teenage
like friends clothes that make sense like Ali and Hannah
they aren't friends with like david dobrik and all those people but i'm us
to like good friends with them but i think it's like gonna be cool but then
again i couldn't imagine alli and Hanna like hanging out with
david dobrik and things it's like he's kind of intense I made a video me at
cooking brownies but I was wearing a crop top in the video and my fat stomach
was hanging out the whole time sighs decides like not posted that's okay so
back to my camera it's actually really weird though how much of an impact she
has had because so many people that I know like no but she is know and like
it's really creepy so we're not cuz I they all I start acting like her kind of
weird like it's time since I kind of like how I look without the highlighter
I'm just going to put on like a little bit of highlight okay so like I main
reason why this video was like such a mess is because I was doing and get
ready with me while filming and like I don't know why I thought that was a good
idea but I am literally so bad getting talking and while getting ready but if
you hadn't read this video then be sure to do all the things that people always
say in their intros make sure to just like subscribe so I can like keep up
with it when I upload that upload every Sunday and Wednesday but I don't really
obvious so yeah anyways uh this video sucked but I'm just gonna go film like
five other videos right now my hair like a mess bonus I kind of like it
