Since it has become customary, we are having a morning chai.

Although it's already noon.

But we just now managed to leave the hostel

to say goodbye to Singapore.

Because today is our last day.

We've come to our favorite Indian restaurant.

Which is located just next to the hostel.

They have delicious food.

We've already eaten here about 3 to 4 times.

But...

today once again.

Because it's just so delicious.

A delicious dish called Mutton Biryani.

Meat.

Rice.

And something bread-like

Only 6 singapore dollars.

And last but not least, our chai.

Only 1 dollar.

You are probably wondering why we eat Indian food here in Singapore.

Well, Singapore is a mix of so many different cultures

so it's actually local food.

So if you like Indian food, we really recommend this place.

It's extremely delicious, really cheap and the people are really friendly.

And outside of India, Singapore is the best place to eat Indian food.

You obviously know that Singapore is a huge city with 5 million inhabitants.

But one thing we noticed is that there is almost no traffic.

There are some cars, but not that many.

Not like in Mexico City.

The reason for that is that the government charges a lot of taxes for the use of the roads.

That together with the fact that public transportation is excellent here

convinces the majority of the people to leave their cars at home

and to use the bus or the metro.

So in Singapore, you will not get stuck in traffic.

To get from the airport to the city center, only 15 minutes.

The 4 official languages of Singapore.

English.

Mandarine

Malay.

And Tamil.

But as always, it's possible to come here on a low budget.

For accommodation, we only paid 18 singapore dollars a night (per person).

We always ate for about 5 singapore dollars.

Some days we got a bit crazy and paid 8 singapore dollars.

But that's still pretty cheap.

We end things off with transportation.

We never paid more than 1,60 singapore dollars to take the metro.

And if you like to walk, you can also save on that.

We really loved our stay here.

And we feel that we've seen people from all the countries we've visited previously, here in Singapore.

Al cierre de la sesión, el Dow Jones recortó 608,01 puntos y saltó una barrera psicológica, hasta 24

583,42 unidades, mientras que el selectivo S&P 500 retrocedió un 3,03 % u 84,59 enteros, hasta 2

656,10 puntos. El índice compuesto del mercado Nasdaq, en el que cotizan los grupos tecnológicos más importantes, sufrió su peor caída desde agosto de 2011 y perdió un 4,43 % o 329,14 unidades, hasta 7

108,40 enteros. Destacaron en ese grupo las compañías del denominado grupo FAANG: Facebook (-5,41 %), Amazon (-5,91 %), Apple (-3,43 %), Netflix (-9,40 %) y Alphabet (-5,18 %)

- [Instructor] I have $100,000 in startup expenses,

how do I get them out of my corporation?

This is a fun one.

Jeff, do you have an opinion on this.

- [Jeff] Well, if you put $100,000 of startup expenses

in your company, that money had to come from somewhere,

and most likely it came from you personally.

So you're probably have a shareholder loan

on your corporation.

- [Instructor] Yeah.

- [Jeff] So,

- [Instructor] Or you contributed it in exchange for stock.

Either way. - Right.

- [Instructor] But startup, let's start right there.

What is a startup expense?

It's the investigation, or active trade

of a trader business.

So your either in it, or you're investigating it,

and starting it up.

We like that investigation, because frankly,

you may be spending a lot of money preparing

to launch your business.

And then you launch the business,

which is what it sounds like in this situation.

When I see $100,000 in startup expenses,

I imagine that you spent a lot of money

in the year prior to actually starting that business.

If it's a startup expense,

you can write off $5,000 in the first year.

And then you amortize over 15 years the balance.

- [Jeff] Now in this particular case,

that $5,000 is limited to $50,000 total startup expenses.

- [Instructor] So he has a total limitation?

- [Jeff] Right, so once he goes over the 100,

over that 50,000, or actually 55,000

then he doesn't get that $5,000 the first year.

So he has to do the amortization with the entire amount.

- [Instructor] So we're just going to say,

if it's over, what's the number?

- [Jeff] Over 50,000 it starts phasing out

dollar for dollar.

- [Instructor] Then cross that one out.

- [Jeff] Correct.

- [Instructor] The other thing you get

is organizational expense.

And the organizational expense is $5,000,

and that's for tax and legal, state fees.

This is the cost of setting things up,

licenses, all that fun stuff.

So organizational, you're also

going to get another $5,000 there.

For this example, this 100,000, we're literally going to

take it, and we're going to divide it up by 15.

So let's just say, I don't know what that is.

What's 100 divided by 15?

You're an accountant.

- [Jeff] Um, yeah, I've got my calculator too.

- [Instructor] Yeah, it's 66666, whatever it is.

- It's going to be $6,667,

- Right, a year. - $6,000 a year.

- [Instructor] That's what you write off,

and that's against your active income.

It can pay you back, that $100,000 the day it starts.

You have to get the money in in somehow, though.

- [Jeff] Right.

- [Instructor] So it's got to either reimburse you,

or it's going to be paying you back over time.

Jeff talked about a shareholder loan,

so you may carry it on the books as a loan,

and you get paid back.

But the company, on day one, it's going to get these expenses,

and it's going to possibly show either a loss,

or it's going to have whatever,

let's say it made 50,000,

and even though you have all these expenses,

it's going to pay tax on what, about 43,000 of it.

- [Jeff] Sure.

- [Instructor] Yeah, so it's going to be, writing

that off for many years.

If you close down the business, you're going to take it all

in the year that you close it.

Is that fair?

- [Jeff] That's fair.

- [Instructor] All right.

So how do you get it out?

Heres how you get it out.

Let's say that you set up a corp,

and you're the shareholder, you're out here.

It's going to pay you money.

It's literally, you're just going to pay you money

whenever it gets it.

So if it has, somehow it has a great year,

and it makes $100,000, even though you don't get

to write it all off, it can hand you back

your $100,000 in that first year.

It's just going to be limited

in its deduction to that $6,667.

Hope that makes sense.

You're writing it off, almost like a,

it's almost like a house.

You're depreciating that big thing that you put in.

So 100,000 bucks is just like

you put a big house on the property,

you're writing it off over 15 years

instead of 27.5, that's the big difference.

We have personal issues with this one.

Do you have anything you want to share?

- [Man 2] My favorite way of minimizing capital gains

is by donating the appreciated stock.

- [Man 1] All right, so let's go through this.

So, long, long ago,

and it's in a galaxy far, far away, right?

We had a stock that we bought for a hundred bucks.

It is now worth a hundred and one, today.

So, we have gained how much?

- [Man 2] One.

- [Man 1] We have, of $100.

- [Man 2] Oh, you bought it for $1, got you.

- [Man 1] I bought it for a buck.

It's now worth 101.

My gain is $100.

I would pay long-term capital gains.

Capital gains, and that's going to be 0, 15, or 20 percent.

So, it's going to depend.

So, what if it's somebody who makes $30,000 a year?

- [Man 2] They're most likely going to be paying in

at the 0 percent capital gain, right?

- [Man 1] What if they sold $100,000 a stock?

Would it still be 0?

- [Man 2] No, because, unfortunately,

that $100,000 goes into that calculation

of what bracket you fall into.

- [ Man 1] Right, so in order to be zero,

you're going to have to be in, I think it's the bottom two

categories, it's actually a dollar amount.

I forget what the dollar amount is,

but actually I may have it floating around here somewhere.

Let's see, do I have other rates, long term,

it's single tax payers up to 38 grand,

married filing jointly.

Let's do married filing jointly, it's 77,200.

So that's married filing jointly, 77,200.

I pay 0%, just want to make sure you understand that.

So you can be selling it,

and let's say that I have $100 worth of gain,

I sell enough to keep myself in that 0%.

And I just sell it over years.

So that's number one is to actually understand

what tax bracket you're in

and how much of an impact that is going to have on you.

I know there's lots of people asking tons of questions,

questions, questions, oh my God.

Got hundreds of 'em.

We're not telling bedtime stories, alright.

The next one is let's say that we have the $100 of gain,

a tax free way to get to that,

let's say that you have lots of gain,

is you can borrow.

You can borrow against that,

it's called a security backed line of credit.

The tax rate on borrowing is zero,

so you can borrow against this gain and pay nothing.

Third way, which is the Jeff way, is if you have a 501c3

that you either like or is yours,

and you contribute your shares, you get a deduction,

up to, how much of your income can you write off,

60% of your adjusted gross income.

You can write off up to 60% of your adjusted gross income

by giving those shares, and it's their fair market value,

it is not the cost basis.

It is based off of your today value.

So, in English, if I have $50,000 worth of shares,

that are worth $50,000, my basis is what, 500 bucks,

$5,000 whatever it is, one one-hundredth of that.

I don't have to worry about my basis.

I get a $50,000 deduction.

And I'm limited only to 60% of my adjusted gross income.

So I hope that makes sense.

Fun stuff.

- [Man 2] Yeah, I mean this is a good way that you're, ah,

contributing to a charitable cause

and getting the deduction for it,

not recognizing any taxes on it.

- [Man 1] Yep, somebody did ask,

we're getting a ton of questions,

I'm going to just answer a few of them real quick.

A 501c3 is a non-profit,

it's where you're making a charitable donation.

You do not have to pay tax when you borrow money

on a security backed line of credit.

So if I have a stock account worth a million bucks,

I can literally use it as a security,

just like I would a house, on a line of credit.

It's just that they're a lot cheaper,

they're about 3% because you're very very liquid.

You don't have to worry about foreclosing on a house,

they have your stock,

stock that could be sold in about two minutes.

Whereas a house might take months.

Ah, and then somebody else asked

is this recorded for review, yes.

You can come back and review these.

And these questions we'll stick 'em out there in the world.

So anyway, so there's really you have choices.

What this really comes down, you know,

what it comes down to is you always want to do calculations.

This is, you know, I could either sell it in part

and recognize some gain depending

on which tax bracket I'm in,

I might be as low as 15%, you might say hey that's fine,

I'll take a little bit of tax hit.

You could spread it out over years,

you don't have to sell it all in one year.

Here we are towards October,

so you could wait and sell some at the end of the year now,

sell some at the beginning of next year

to push it into another year.

- [Man 2] And you know something we didn't really bring up,

about minimizing gain on taxes,

is a lot of clients still have left over capital loses.

- [Man 1] Oh you can use your loses against it.

- [Man 2] Absolutely, if you got something

with a lot of gain in it, this may be an opportune time to.

- [Man 1] And not just your carryover loses,

but it could be loses you have unrealized.

In other words I bought a bunch of Tesla,

at way up when, okay that's probably a bad example,

watching him roll his eyes at me.

Let's just say that you have,

let's just say that you have some unrealized loses.

I bought a bunch of GE, it has tanked,

and I have $50,000 of loses and I'm like eh,

this would be when you take it to offset some of your gain.

- [Man 2] And you know that the stock

you bought for a dollar,

you may really love this stock,

you can sell the stock and turn around

and buy it the next day.

- [Man 1] Yeah.

- [Man 2] And still have that same stock you just

- [Man 1] Got to watch out, you got to watch out

for the Wash-Sale Rule.

- [Man 2] Well yeah, if you sell it

as a loss you're going to have wash-sale.

- [Man 1] You can always have wash-gain.

That doesn't exist.

- [Man 2] They don't mind you paying taxes on that.

- [Man 1] That's tax humor and we're nerds,

alright, so let's go, we could spend all day

on scenarios there but I hope you realize

that there are options for you,

and if you don't want to recognize any gain

you can give it to a charity

and then you just take a big tax deduction.

That's the big part.

When I give it to the charity, the charity sells it zero tax

and you don't have to worry,

you get a a big fat tax deduction.

It's always nice to give appreciated assets to charity.

this week to not only promote his new book, but to tell all of us in the United States

that liars are not good people, and that nobody should tell a lie.

And according to Scaramucci, kind of that also applies to the President.

didn't go to college, they don't care about lying," because I know for a fact that people

do care about lying.

Let me rephrase it, because I think it's super important for everybody to understand.

Nobody should lie.

I'm not a big believer in lying, but politicians happen to lie.

Do you want to say that to the camera and to the president?

... but you're a politician now, so politicians lie when their lips are moving, and so all

these people lie.

But you should probably dial down the lying, because you don't need to.

You're doing a great job for the country, so dial that down and you'll be doing a lot

better.

I know you're a politician now, as Scaramucci says, so obviously you lie every time your

mouth is moving, because literally every other politician does that.

But just dial it down a bit.

Just turn it back a little.

Maybe instead of telling seven lies per day, only tell four.

That's Donald Trump's lie average, by the way, seven per day, seven, and that number's

actually been steadily increasing.

And as we see him do more of these rallies, those numbers get even higher and higher and

higher and higher.

But Scaramucci here is trying to have it both ways.

He's trying to play the middle, and he fails spectacularly to appeal to either side, because

he's calling the president a liar.

He doesn't mince words there, "Yeah, Donald Trump lies," so that's going to piss off the

right.

But then he says, "But it's okay, because all of his ... all politicians lie, and Donald

Trump's a politician now, so he's allowed to lie."

Yeah, that's going to piss off everybody else.

So what exactly are you hoping to accomplish here, Scaramucci, the guy who spent 10 days

in the Trump administration before being fired?

Why should we listen to anything you have to say?

More importantly, don't tell the president to just dial it down.

Tell him to stop.

I mean, come on.

Tell him to stop.

That's all you had to do was say, "Stop lying."

Stop lying, two words.

Yet you, as somebody who's allegedly a communications director, can't even say, "Stop lying"?

No wonder you got fired after 10 days, you idiot.

You don't just say, "Hey, dial it down a bit.

There's no need to lie, so maybe just tell fewer."

No, you say, "Hey, here's some good numbers you could talk about.

Stop telling lies."

And you couldn't even do that when pressed by CNN's John Berman.

You are a disgusting excuse for a human being.

The only reason you're out there trying to appeal to both sides right now is because

you want to sell a few copies of your new book, and maybe make it onto that best seller

list, seeing as how you're obviously not going to make it on the list of good people from

the Trump administration.

Good luck with that.

My advice to everybody out there, don't waste your time on this Scaramucci book.

It's not going to be filled with anything that's going to give us any insight into the

administration.

It's not going to give us any decent insight into politics here in the United States.

It's just yet another former member of the Trump administration trying to make a quick

Luke Cage got cancelled that's not even worse of it. The worse of it is I

you haven't seen it you should check it out that's News to Astonish he's

really better at posting the latest news so I'd advise you go check that channel

out anyway the news was that Luke Cage got canceled and that was within the

same week of I investigated cancelled and the purpose of this video is to let you

guys know it's the writing was on the wall I saw coming didn't see what kind

of youtuber am i if I see these things and I don't say something you know see

something say something or my case I felt it so you don't feel something say

something so all I got to do right now is I could prove to you guys it's a

shame as you can see right here let me pull it up so you don't pull it up like

I don't have to pull it up and edit afterward anyway as I'm sure right now

you can see on the screen it's an article that I had that I was posting to

the BMA Comics Con website because yes there is a BMA Comics Con website

because I know I can't put everything I can't make every video that I want to

Iron Fist got cancelled and in that article I mentioned that it's possible

being next that stated the sixteenth switch Luke Cage got cancelled on Friday

which was the night so it's like right then and the reason

behind my beliefs of it things the writing that was on the wall that is

what I want to share I want to share the writing's on the wall one iron fist got

cancelled right after airing a successful more successful season - yeah

he got cancelled to me that says two things one I originally thought it was

Disney making it harder maybe raising the price for Netflix to air another to

do another Iron Fist and I said hmm why would Disney do that maybe because

they want I am fist you know after phase three is done and it's

currently the Avengers are disassembled and the Avengers come back somebody's

gonna need to fund it and with no more Iron Man who could afford such a thing

Danny Rand that is why I made even this little amateur Photoshop showing the New

Avengers with the Netflix cast it could easily be brought more prominently into

them to you because as we all know so far the movies and Netflix don't talk

the TV shows talk a little bit but the movies and Netflix don't talk and in

order for the movies to start talking with iron fist it would need to come off

of Netflix and so I said well you can't just have iron fist you've got on one

Luke Cage because that's one of the things fans have been screaming about

hey just give us Heroes for Hire I'll have to keep them separate put them

together so I was like you know what is a good chance Disney ones them second

thing that I was thinking was that Netflix probably was just getting rid of

it because as I did mention in the article Netflix is known to cancel some

good shows and to me one of my favorite shows on Netflix of the Marvel shows

which includes Luke Cage does like there's a good chance that cage could be

next so about the comics here we go Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron

Fist in the comics Daredevil's comic is ending and Daredevil is dying. Jessica

Jones comic ended. And Luke Cage and Iron Fist's are digital comics so they're not

active in the comic world. And the Defenders that team together ended.

Brian Michael Bendis left and nothing is going on with Brian Michael Bendis things

things except for side note, Miles Moral is coming back with his own series.

And hopefully they take a page from the video game it's a great origin to mix

miles in with the rest of the Marvel Universe so that quick side note back to

what I was saying. So as far as the comics goes the Netflix cast like dust

in the wind but the defenders isn't just the defenders roster as it appears in

Netflix is because Marvel is bringing back their original defenders lineup

with Hulk, Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, and Namor that should be coming in

December so I was not done with the Defenders Marvel also seems to have a

plan for the defenders name but with properties they with characters they

already have the rights to doesn't have to worry about Netflix so that was also

part of my thinking as to how the comics could be an indication of the fact that

Marvel is trying to stop Netflix from using the defenders. And the third thing

the third reason so the first reason being I thought that they both just

wanted to cancel it second one was using the comics as an indicator and the third

one was because hey just to be super sis superstitious these things always come

to threes no one's talking about a defenders season so that's practically

cancels just not official Iron Fist got canceled I was like gang

these things come in threes Luke Cage is probably gonna get canceled because

Jessica Jones and Daredevil stand strong same thing with Punisher and they're

good on their own it's Luke Cage and Iron Fist where the weaker of

the Netflix shows so I was just thinking man it's a strong possibility Luke Cage

might get canceled if this got cancelled so I just wanted to share with you guys

riding on the wall and take another tense to get in front of the camera

because you're gonna be seeing a lot more than me actually the next week I

have another I plan on getting in front of the camera again to see you guys

later this week it's aimed for Saturday it could be sooner and also next week

where I do another I take time to save some of the things that have been in my

head and finally get it out because next week's video is going to be about what I

think DC should do with their movie universe now this is the idea that I've

been sitting on since the end of last year when I rewatched Justice League as

for me trying to go over all of the video all of the movies that came out in

2017 every much Justice League it was around the time that Ben Affleck was

talking about not wanting to be Batman anymore and I came up with this great

idea as to what DC to do to solve their Batman problem and now they have a

Superman problem and this idea works perfectly with it but I don't want to

make this video too long this video is just supposed to be about me kicking

myself for not getting this sooner to you guys about how I had a feeling Luke

Cage was gonna be cancelled so next week will be about this great idea that I to

Change Default Shape and Text Box in PowerPoint - Duration: 7:12.

A little while ago, I was in Facebook group where someone

was getting very frustrated with PowerPoint because she was

constantly having to change PowerPoint's default shape, color,

line, shading, etc., and she was having to do this on a consistent

basis in PowerPoint.

Well, today I'm going to over a couple quick ways that you can

change the PowerPoint default shape and the PowerPoint default

text box in PowerPoint.

I'm Naomi Skarzinski with the Top Shelf VA channel.

Your place for creativity and inspiration for business and life.

So, let's look at how easily you can change and set the formatting

for the PowerPoint default shape and the PowerPoint default text box.

You can start with whichever template you would like.

You can go to File, New, and pick the template you would

like to use for your presentation.

For this training, let's pick this Slice template.

I'll chose the blank page layout.

Now let's look at the current default format for a shape.

We'll go to the Drawing section and select a circle.

Let's go ahead and make that circle.

Well, that's a little bland.

We can see no matter what shape we select; the default is this dark blue.

We know we are going to consistently use a shape with a

border and an inner shadow, so let's change the default.

I'll click on the circle and change the shape fill to white.

I'll also change the color of the outline and make it thicker.

Let's add the inner shadow.

Okay that looks good.

Let's go ahead and set this as the default formatting

for the PowerPoint shapes.

Right click on the shape and select "Set as Default Shape."

Now, any shape we select will have the same formatting.

We can do the same thing with changing and setting the

default text box in PowerPoint.

Select the text box and click anywhere on the canvas.

Let's go ahead and type some text.

Highlight the text and change the font, the color,

and the size to your liking.

Now right click on the text box and select, "Set as Default Text Box."

Now, anytime you choose the text box, the font will

be the default you chose.

Now here is a major caveat.

This default is only for this presentation.

If you close out of it and open the template again, it will

set back to the original default.

So now, what you need to do is save this as a "theme."

Click on Design.

Click on the bottom drop down arrow over here.

Click on Save Current Theme and give it a name.

I'll call it "Test" for now.

Hit return or click on Save.

Now that the theme is saved.

Let's close out of this and open a blank new presentation.

Okay, we have a blank page here.

Let's click on Design.

You will see there is our theme Test and if we scroll

down, there is the theme for Slice.

We will use the theme we created, which is Test.

Let's right click on it and select, "Apply to all Slides"

and go back to Home.

Let's select a shape and put it on the canvas.

Our default shape formatting is there.

Let's look at our text box shape formatting.

Yep, it's the same.

Just for the heck of it, let's add a new slide for an example

and choose the Slice theme.

Let's check the default shape and text for the Slice theme.

As you can see, the original default remained with that template.

So, you can change the default, then save as a theme, and

use the theme for future presentations.

You might be saying well that's great, but I use three different

formatting styles in my presentations.

Here's the easy work around on that.

Click on the shape and press Control plus D twice to copy the shape.

Move the shapes out so they are in one line and do the same

for the text box if you use different formatting for your text box.

Adjust the formatting on each PowerPoint shape and text

box to those three standard styles that you use.

Now, we'll call this your PowerPoint Default Shape and

Text Box Style Guide.

Right click on the first PowerPoint shape and set it as the

default shape formatting, assuming that is the one you use most often.

Do the same with the text box.

Right click on it and set it as the default text.

Add a blank slide in front of this slide.

Now click on File, Save As, and Browse.

Click on the Save as Type Drop Down and select PowerPoint Template.

Give it a File Name and save.

Now let's close out of this.

Let's go back to File, New.

Select the Custom Tab.

Click on Custom Office Template and then click on Standard

Presentation the template that we just saved.

If you select a shape, it will be the default.

If you wish to change that to one of your other standard

formatting styles, go to the second slide.

Click on the shape you want to copy the formatting.

Click on the Format Painter up here.

Go back to the previous slide and click on the shape.

You can do the same exact thing with the text box.

All you need to do from this point is add new slides, always

making sure the style guide is below the slide you are working on.

Of course, don't forget to save your work as you go!

Since you are working from a template file, when you click

Control + S to save, you will need to click on Browse and save

the presentation in a file of your choosing.

how to work with Mater Slides and templates to help you create

presentations that go beyond the standard, boring, bullet pointed,

PowerPoint presentations.

Wall Street cerró este miércoles con fuertes pérdidas y el Dow Jones de Industriales, su principal indicador, bajó un 2,41 % en medio de un descenso generalizado en el sector de las telecomunicaciones, que dejó muy perjudicada a la operadora móvil AT&T (-8,09 %)

Al cierre de la sesión, el Dow Jones recortó 608,01 puntos y saltó una barrera psicológica, hasta 24

656,10 puntos. El índice compuesto del mercado Nasdaq, en el que cotizan los grupos tecnológicos más importantes, sufrió su peor caída desde agosto de 2011 y perdió un 4,43 % o 329,14 unidades, hasta 7

108,40 enteros. Destacaron en ese grupo las compañías del denominado grupo FAANG: Facebook (-5,41 %), Amazon (-5,91 %), Apple (-3,43 %), Netflix (-9,40 %) y Alphabet (-5,18 %)
