We Produced And Promoted a Show at The Comedy Store - Duration: 4:13.
- Rene Lancaster is a Comedy Store comedian,
and we're also working with him on
a TV show for Garblic.
Me and Jacob are helping to produce and write it
and whatever else needs to be done to get it sold.
One day we're at a notes session,
where Rene has written a pilot,
we give our feedback to try to get it as good as possible,
and he brings up the fact that he got the opportunity
to host a show at The Comedy Store,
and he asked if we could help.
The Comedy Store's one of the greatest
comedy clubs in the world,
so fuck yeah we're gonna' help.
Here's what happened.

When Rene came to us, he had permission
from the booker for the room,
so they gave him a spot.
It was 10:30 pm on a Sunday.
Which for comedy, if you guys don't know,
the most popular nights are Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Sunday at 10:30 is not really the best night to have a show,
but we're grateful for any opportunity.
This is sick.
And Rene has a lot of connections at The Comedy Store
in terms of knowing a lot of comics
'cause he's been there a while.
So we saw this as a cool opportunity.
Let's get the best lineup we possibly can
and try to drive people, even if it is 10:30 pm on a Sunday.
The organizer said in order to set up an Eventbrite
and start doing signups, we needed a lineup.
That meant we needed comics on board
before we could actually secure the room.
Luckily Rene knows a bunch of comics.
The first one he got on board was Kyle Dunnigan,
who has been on Reno 911,
and he was just on the Joe Rogan Podcast.

so I make a video to announce it on our Instagram.
Just heard from Rene that we've got amazing comedian,
Kyle Dunnigan for our show
at the Comedy Store Belly Room 10:30 on Sunday.
After we got Kyle Dunnigan
it was like things fell into place.
Rene kept texting me different comics we had signed up,
and I kept making different Instagram videos for them.
Just heard from Rene that we got
one of his favorite comics, Fahim Anwar.
This lineup is out of sight.
Just heard from Rene, we've got Ron Taylor on the lineup.
Now we have all the comics together,
so I put together a poster.
And I've been doing some poster work for Clown Sound,
so I was well prepared for this.
Rene had a few notes,
a little bit of feedback on the poster,
so I redid it, and here's the final version.
Once the poster's done, Rene secures the room,
and Jacob, my little brother, whose on the Garblic team,
starts running promotion.
How do we promote? What do we do?
- Instagram posts, Facebook posts, Facebook groups.
- We get there the night of,
and I'm a little worried.
Rene texted me before and said 62 people had signed up,
but there was nobody in the room.
- Full of spirit.
Empty, but it's full of people sitting here.
- So they do open the doors,
and a bunch of people start flooding in.
10 people, 20 people, 30.
We ended up with 44 people at the show,
which for 10:30 pm on a Sunday,
is amazing.
And Rene was happy, too.

or an original room show in terms of
the quality of comics.
And the audience was super engaged.
They were laughing the whole time.
I'm blown away,
and I'm thankful that we were even
allowed to be a part of it.

done with the detoxification of my journey and I guess that was a good
question asked me but the answer to that question is no anyone who is on a
detoxification journey will be on that journey for the rest of their life
because the toxins and everything that we eat and we have to be mindful of that
and we have to stay up on that on a daily basis because if we don't things
like in my case my sleep my anxiety my muscle twitching stress and they're all
kind of things your skin you hear your nails you're going to feel in those
areas and it's going to show on the outside if you don't keep up on
detoxification and worse and most importantly things that are internally
that that can actually get out of control like diabetes high blood
pressure cancers you know illnesses and viruses can get
way out of control when we eat the kind of foods that they're selling in these
stores a lot of processed foods that we buy to cook quicker that are poisoning
our systems and we're not aware of what in these foods and some are hidden in
the labels or not on the labels of harmful things that were eating that
could be potentially hurting us so detoxification is a long road it's a
lifetime commitment that some of us are either going to commit to or some of us
are going to commit to not doing it but I am on the
the road of detoxification for a lifetime I will be doing detoxification
and healing practices into the day God calls me home so to answer your question
no I am not done with detoxing detoxing is a life long journey that I will never
stop doing for an example before I have any salt meals I have a 32 ounce fresh
juice every single day before any solid meals that is to ensure that I get
proper nutrients and also using those juices as an astringent
to cleanse the blood the liver in the kidneys so that my body is working at an
optimal pace and it keeps me looking vibrant young for as long as possible
and most importantly feeling young for as long as possible so that I can be
productive in my life you know the time that I'm here and not have to be plagued
with ailments because of my body being toxic so I hope I answered your question
on the detoxification journey no I'm not off my journey I have a long way to go

Dried rose color and MLBB kinds of
toned down colors are well known for fall lips
I've tried those colors before
but I look kinda sick
I think this video will be helpful to those who think
MLBB colored lips make your skin look dark

Feels like it's based more in pink?
In my personal opinion, I think so
But it's saturated a little bit and not like super bright
So whenever you want to look girlish
this lip will be okay to use in daily basis

Print the pattern
Print size is a3
Draw a pattern on the leather with a marking pen.
Make the hole as marked
Apply edge paint
Place an ailet and a hook before sewing
Cross stitching
Wind it up twice for the first hole
Don't sew too tight around the round
Sew while making a shape with your fingers
Wind it up twice for the last hole
Finish with a lighter
Do it the same way on the other side
Making leather wrapped a button
Skive(0.2-3t) and cut it
Apply a bond to cap too
Fold in center
Leather wrapped button is done

It's a 4strands braiding

DIY How to make crown imperial out of ribbon (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #535 - Duration: 5:45.
Hi. Today I will show you how to make crown imperial out of ribbon.
I made it by request from my viewer.
Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.
Cut 3 pieces of wire. About 12cm each.
Wrap them by using floral tape.
Apply glue on the end of wire and let it solidify.
Paint the glue by using yellow nail polish.
Let it dry.
Cut 6 strips of ribbon. 8cm x 5cm each.
Cut a shape of petal.
Burn the edges.
Fold the sides to the middle,..
burn the edge and press it (to glue it).
Cut about 25 strips of ribbon. 20cm x 2.5cm each.
Cut a shape of leaf.
Burn the edges.
Fold the bottom part in the same way as with the petals.
Bind the wires together.
Glue 3 petals. The flower stamens should protrude out of flower.
Now, glue another 3 petals between the previous petals.
Make 6 flowers in the same way.
Wrap a wooden stick by using ribbon.
Glue the leaves to the end of stick.
Glue 2 more rows below the first one.
Bend the stalk of the flower.
Attach the flowers to the stick by using glue and ribbon.
Make a hole in styrofoam. Attach the stick.
Hide the styrofoam by using sisal.
Finally, glue the leaves.
And it's done.
This flower will be an extraordinary and beautiful decoration.
Instead of red color of ribbon you can also use orange or yellow.

Hello! thank you so much for clicking on this video, my name is Monica and I'm
here to show you how to achieve this super simple hairstyle
It really takes little effort and you can achieve it in very few steps. So as
you can see here I have parted my hair I almost always used the arch of my brow
as a guide and then I part my hair all the way down to my nape and tie that
section of hair away and here you can just see me doing the process of
achieving a braid out if you want a detailed tutorial on how I achieved my
braid out I will link it in the iCard above I haven't really shown the process
in detail in this video but again if you would like to see how I do it the link
to the video will be the icards above as you can see here I am just spraying my
hair but I just basically doing the whole process of moisturizing my hair in
my spray bottle I have a mixture of water and conditioner because I had
blown out my hair previously and I really needed that extra boost of
moisture and because I was shooting a how to trim your hair video and if
you're interested in that video as well I will link it in the icards above and
yeah you can just get to see that video and see how I trim my hair the video
applies to people who are natural as well as people who are not natural
and yeah as you can see here I'm just braiding up my hair and then when you
get to the section of hair that you are to cornrow the same moisturizing
process applies. spray your water and use whatever it is
you use to moisturize your hair this is just a process that I use and then
proceed to cornrow your hair now I am not a professional at cornrowing
whatsoever however I have had a bit of practice and obviously I am much better
now than I was when I started so a bit of practice will get you there however
if you feel you cannot achieve this cornrow on your own you can as well
approach your mom your best friend your sister just whoever is available because
this cornrow has to look you know a bit tidy a bit sleek because it will not be
taken down and then as you can see here I'm just going all the way down try to
make it as neat as possible because it will not be taken down and then once
you're done it should look a little something like this it does not look
pretty I know but the results are worth it trust me so just go ahead and tie that
down with a scarf you can just see me here doing the whole takedown process
which you will get in much better detail when you watch my braid out tutorial so I
just take down my hair separating and fluffing as I go I don't really dislike
frizz because it does kind of come with the territory of being natural however
if you want super defined hair just do minimal separation and be very gentle as
you can see here I'm really fluffing my hair to get a volume in and then I go
ahead and undo the other braid but not all the way up just slightly so that I
can blend it in better with the rest of my hair and I just go ahead and pin that
down making sure I cover it up so that it can't be seen and then I just go in and
clean up those edges I don't really do sleek edges because I'm lazy however if
you do I am so jealous of you! I wish I had that energy so yeah these are my
finished results as you can see it is so simple to achieve and you end up looking
so good I really love this hairstyle and look how much fuller it looks now that I
trimmed it I mean just look at look at how the ends are curling up look at how
full it looks I mean girl I am so happy I did my hair because now look
I just look like I have a healthy mane of hair on my head so yeah this is how
the side I cornrowed looks and yeah that's the hairstyle and this is me waiting for

As you can see from the title I am going to talk about the Dutch men.
This video was requested by some of my subscriber here and some followers on Instagram.
I will try not to generalize
What I am going to say here will be based
on my experience in the last 17 years that I live in The Netherlands
and also based a little bit on the Dutch culture
and the experience with my husband.
also from the neighbors
And also on the experience from other ladies with Dutch partner.
Before continuing with the video I want to say that every man is different
Every human being is different
Same with Dutch men, they are human being and they are not perfect.
Each one of them is different
All you need is to be lucky to find the right man.
What kind of woman most of Dutch man search for mostly?
Most of the time Dutchmen search for a a loving woman
and also a very independent woman.
They are used to Dutch women being really independent.
So they usually search for this kind of woman.
The way you look like also counts.
So you came in The Nederlands or you met a Dutchman in your country.
And you're waiting for him to start flirting with you.
Guys, Dutch people they are not great flirt.
They are this kind of people, that even when you are painted in gold,
they pass you by without looking at you
Specially on the street.
They don't really have this habits, of man on the street calling ladies.
like hey beauty, or something like that.
I don't really in it happening.
They usually find their partners, on the place where they work.
at school, or
at a friends parties,
where their friends friends. And they are introduced to them.
And most of the time a relationship starts like a friendship.
and it grows to a relationship.
It's difficult to see them asking someone to be their girlfriend.
You first be come friends, then you go out few times, and you kiss...
then before you know it you are already dating this person for months.
It often happens like this.
When a Dutchman asks you for a date.
My advice from friend to friend, right...
Try to be as simple as possible, the love simplicity.
Of course they will accept you the way you are.
But they prefer
from what I see here.... because Dutch ladies are like this
simple...
They prefer a very simple lady, that your natural beauty, or what you really are is visible.
and not with so much layers(makeup)
they like simplicity, so try to be simple.
When you are going out with a Dutchman, be prepared, have some money in the pocket.
to not be embarrassed.
take some money with you.
because some of them has this habit
of split the bill
Yes, they are a lot of Dutch people, that have this habit.
I didn't have to split the bill with my husband
On our first date, he paid everything.
But it can happen that the one you are going to date, likes to split the bill
So if you don't have money, them you will be embarrassed.
Take some money with you when you are going on date with a Dutchman
And during the date, one thing they do often is
asking very personal questions.
But I think this has to be with the Dutch culture,
they call it "interesse tonen",
interesse tonen is like,
showing that you are interested to know more about the other person
so they ask..
Even in the daily base, when you are foreign here, and you meet colleagues ate work
They ask some very personal things
In my country they would call it gossipy
And here is very normal that people ask you this kind of things
so prepare yourself for it.
Usually Dutchman are not so romantic, like in the movies
that brings flowers, or open the door for you
Or bring you very expressive gifts, perfumes or whatever
They are not really like that
It also depends on what being romantic means for you.
If you see romanticism like this, or like a Romeo and Juliet serenade
I would say, just forget it because Dutchman are not really like that.
they don't really have it...
I think.... my hubby is a little bit romantic
and I also taught him how a woman from another country see romanticism
You can talk about it.
So when in a relationship with a Dutch, try to talk about things you think they are important.
Start from the begin, don't wait in the middle or end of the relationship
otherwise you will be very disappointed .
So back to the romanticism.
Dutch romanticism
In my opinion they are romantic in their way.
like, have in a bike ride together, a walk in the nature together,
on the beach
Like watching a movie or a series together, on the couch with popcorn
and stay in the yard to see the stars in the sky.
something we do often here.
and
I think it's romantic.
Maybe I am from another planet. But I think it's romantic.
And they are not this kind of people that keep telling how much they love you.
they are more of showing the affection and the love they for you.
My advice, from friend to friend(concerning marriage).
From the start of the relationship, you making it clear what your intentions are
Why am I saying this. The Dutch culture...
Dutch society does not see marriage as an extraordinary thing
As something very important when two people love each other.
They are other ways of making a relationship legal.
and
that's most of the time enough for them.
This marriage thing, with big party etc, etc. They don't really see it like very important.
And what happens is, that often you can see people living together for
for very long and sometimes until the death separate them without getting married.
Being just boyfriend/girlfriend.
In a relationship, often Dutchman are very liberal
they let you free, they think it's very important to their partner to be free
feel well in the relationship
they expect you to be an independent woman
they expect you to be a strong woman

they usually do.
and
they are not the scandalous jealous type
Of course, some are not jealous, but some are...
Like I already said every man is different
but when they are jealous, they are often not scandalous.
Like on the street, screaming or going crazy.
They usually talk about it at home.
and for
for some of us ladies from countries where we are used that jealousy needs to be showed to the world.
We find it strange
to have a man who is not jealous.

One thing I like about them is that when they love you, you become like the center (they focus on you ) of their life
They try to share every good moments with you.
and when they are sad you will be the first person they will try to find.
You know about everything.
When living together. They are kind of man that helps in everything.
the Dutch culture teaches
man, woman have the same rights and duties.
The man works, woman works
in or outside the house the man helps with house cores.
But not everyone is like this, I am trying not to generalize.
I am trying to talk from my experience.
but mostly Dutchman are like this.
The responsibility about taking care of the the house is for both.
I already said that you become their focus, this makes that they become more "homey person"
they stay more with the family(you or if you have kids with the kids.)
and
and they spend more time with the family.
They don't go out unnecessary.
They do sometimes go out.
because they give you the freedom to go out and do what you need.
They also have moments that they want to go out, but it's not that often.
They are a lot of people that says that Dutchman are timid.
I don't think they are timid, I think they are too respectful.
Too respectful to the ladies
They respect the privacy and the "space" of the lady.
And this make them look like shy.
The Dutch culture teaches from the young age, to respect other people's space.
And I think that this makes the Dutchman to be seen as shy.
But in my opinion, according to what I have seen here, they are not shy.
They can be quite, they observe
Some people say that they are boring...
like cold...
Dutch people say that they are "NUCHTER"
Is like someone who is not so quick out of the balance
Someone who knows what he is doing
someone who is focus.
so that's more or less how I can explain it.
Dutchman are often not the kind of "macho" like latinos or Africans... No.
They are more...
more...
sweet
they are more sweet
like that.
In the Dutch culture
It's normal that people only wash.
For example one or two days only wash them self.
and shower only once or twice a week.
It's normal. So if you are in love with a Dutchman or lady, be prepared for this too.
