BRZEZINA cały film - Duration: 1:31:16.

Do I have it all here?

There must be no mistake today.

It is your toughest exam.

- Jasiu. - Yes, sir?

Pictures of the poorest houses, Buildings falling apart, ruins, all large scale.

Large, large.

- OK. - So also houses which no longer exists.

All right. It must impress.

- JaworzyÒski, what about the water? - Chosen, Mr President.

OK. Jasiu, at what time did you wake up today?

Half past four a.m., Mr President.

I hope I wonít make you wake up so early ever again.

- What list is this? - Guests at the meeting.

Cross out this one and that one. I donít want to see them here.

Have you seen it already, Mr President?

What is it?

And who wrote it?

Make sure people from this newspaper are not in the hall.

- Jasiu. - Yes, sir?

- People outside? - Theyíll come.

Theyíll come on their own anyway, there is no need to arrange anything.

- They want it anyway. - Do you think I donít know it?

Weíre doing it for them and they want it.

Yes, sir.

And you must organize them to come and say that they want it.

This is our job. There is nothing to laugh about.

Quickly, rows of four.

Quickly, quickly.

Come on, quickly.

The group is ready, quickly. Kuf, open the gate, please.

screenplay

director/camera

Golden ring, golden ring

for luck.

With a blue stone,

Naturally, this is the direction we must take.

Golden ring, the only one that the organ-grinder had.

Shall we go to town?

Letís get in.

THE SCAR

We know that five provinces have competed for the factory.

We know that there were many committees.

And we know that the decision had to be made quickly.

I will show you some pictures. Jasiu.

- I will show you pictures. - Here you are.

You can see in what condition people live here. Pass it further.

They badly need a place to work.

Our province has been repeatedly neglected when

industrial investments were funded.

This is our chance, our greatest chance and we must not waste it.

Well, opinions vary.

Today I received a newspaper

with an article which does not fully support the location

we selected.

And we have to take public opinion into account after all.

Have you read the article?

No, no, but now that you mentioned public opinion,

please, take a look what the public opinion has to say.

Do come here, comrade, please.

Maybe the Ministry of Forestry will see it as well.

And all those talking about birds and romantic groves.

All these people want to work in the new factory.

They must work.

Look at them and look at the pictures.

Excuse me, is it my coffee?

Yes, yes, I think so.

Congratulation, comrade president, it was very well done

with the window. Naturally, weíll build here

and sooner than you think.

Tell me, comrade, is the director already known?

Have any decisions been made on the matter?

Excuse me.

Allow me, comrade - Mr Lech.

- I think weíve met before. - Yes, yes, naturally.

- So do you know... - We are making arrangements with someone

from the region - a talented man, he has been quite successful in similar posts elsewhere.

- An involved man. - Well...

And who is this going to be?

- Hi. - Good morning.

- How did they play? - You know it best, director,

- how well they can play. - So what was the result?

Total failure.

No, the director wonít be here today.

Goodbye.

This is your ticket to Warsaw. Youíre flying right now.

There was a call.

- What do we take? - Nothing, they only need you.

- When am I coming back? - They didnít say.

- You didnít ask? - I did.

Stefan!

- Hi! What are you doing here? - Hi.

- Have you changed the department? - No, Iím still in the same place.

Listen, have you gotten used to Silesia?

They said it was going to rain and itís sunny instead.

Oh, it did rain a little...

Listen, I have an important deal for you.

- Do you? - You must have noticed

- I am always the one to do it. - Youíre always the same.

You know, somehow.

Listen, and hold on fast.

I have news for you.

- I am all ears. - Youíll be the director in Olecko.

- Will I? - Exactly.

Come, the conference has already begun.

The plane was a little late, get in.

Be quiet! Down! Calm down!

- Why has Ewa come? - Well, itís just for a few days.

She needs a rest.

Sheís not feeling well.

Abortion.

Our little daughter...

Stefan, listen... Why did you go to Warsaw?

Itís Olecko.

Iím not going there. I donít want to go back there.

No one will remember what happened 20 years ago.

Donít worry, they do. Iím not going back there.

I will fix it, everything. Weíll fix it together.

Listen, if you made a mistake once...

- No! - Itís bad.

- No, no, no. - If there are people who

- still remember... - I did the right thing.

What will you do with the dog?

Iíll take it.

- Who set you up? - Director, you know,

itís just an order.

I have to write an article and that is why I came here,

but I must tell you itís big.

Well, large.

Well, you know, what Iíd like...

It would be to make the interview in a slightly different manner...

Iíd like us to have a chat.

- Youíre welcome. - Iíd like you just to tell me

about the problems that you face here.

- Honestly. - Honestly?

It always looks fine in plans

but the reality can bite.

Youíre recording it all, arenít you?

Maybe we should do it in a slightly different manner.

OK, stop it.

- And what is your opinion? - Stop.

No retakes here, gentlemen.

You must be very well prepared for the interview.

- Do you know the region? - My uncle lives here, you know.

- Professor Michta, maybe you know him. - I do, naturally.

OK, so may we start?

Great.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are on a huge construction site

of a new factory. Mere months ago

it used to be a forest, today there are machines everywhere.

Bulldozers, machine saws...

Let me introduce the director of this factory,

Mr Stefan Bednarz. What is the most important

for you in this site, director?

You see, this is a great opportunity for the region.

Olecko is a beautiful historic town with wise people,

but it has been forgotten recently, off the beaten track.

Look, Tolo, look there.

There, at the trees, half a year ago

there was a foresterís lodge there.

The forest must be 200 years old.

The costs of civilisation, dear sir.

I came here to shoot some extra material. Ten kilometres away from here there is...

Only sand and wasteland.

10 kilometres away is another province.

This one was insufficiently invested, the other did fine, you see.

Oh Jesus, where are we going?

I believe that we have heard here important opinions.

The fears you have voiced are really unfounded.

You must have some trust in us and some patience.

Everything is born here in hard labour and haste, itís true,

but the activities are needed and right.

- Mr President... - You speak so well

but why do you talk with us only today?

Why didnít you organise an open contest for the development of the town?

We wonít destroy the foundations of the factory, itíll be built.

But do tell us what you intend to do for the town.

Will you build the whole town?

Will Mr Architect design more new quarters?

Thank you for this kind of modernity, we prefer the old museum.

At this moment we only see individual people getting hurt.

Go to the garden plots, please.

the whole blooming quarter... of gardens has been destroyed.

Bulldozers destroy houses which people built

thinking about their old age,

about rest in their own gardens,

under their own trees. It is all being destroyed right now.

I see but listen, citizens, we are building in places with

- appropriate pipe network. - What pipes do you mean?

500m of an old water pipe which is too narrow anyway?

There used to be little houses which you bulldozed into little pieces

in a few days...

Itís strange, dear citizens, that among these voices

there is some self-interest, itís veiled but itís still self-interest.

There is no broader view of the matter.

A social view on the development of our town.

Just some old habits which hinder the development.

Mr President, you offend us!

- Ladies and gentlemen, calm down! - Quiet, please!

- Quiet, please! - What is it?!

Itís a meeting, a discussion.

- Please, no cat-calls! - We had in mind a business-like discussion

- not a protest rally. Please. - Mr President, citizens,

having listened to the debate so far

I must say that I am surprised and disappointed.

I mean, ladies and gentlemen, the forests extending for

several thousand hectares.

Now we witness the destruction

brought about in our region by an uncompleted factory.

In several villages there is serious shortage of water in wells.

Several drilled wells on the grounds of the factory

caused a decrease of the level of ground-water.

What will happen next?

Park somewhere here.

Why did it come to Olecko of all places? Why to us?

It was not the questionable achievement of Mr President.

No, it was the job of somebody else who is absent today.

I mean director Bednarz. Director Bednarz is not just

a manager, an engineer technocrat.

He is a man of a different dimension, a true humanist.

He wants this town to start blooming again,

but he fails to consider one thing:

how long will he stay here? We know what the average tenure

of a factory director is.

How can he know who will replace him?

It may be a dull technocrat, a philistine director

who will destroy everything that Bednarz manages to achieve,

close down the theatre, shut down everything that may begin here.

From the very beginning of our meeting Iíve been watching the face of Mr President,

the face of a self-contented man, a self-righteous man,

a man certain that everything he does is good and beautiful,

everything for the happiness of others.

Iíd like to address Mr President.

Does anything that the society of this town has to say

matter in any way to Mr President?

So what? Yes, director Lech is with me,

but he is very busy at the moment. Leave me alone,

deal with it on your own.

So what will it be, Stasiu? I know there was some bad blood

between the two of you, some... fights maybe.

Well, it might have been so but it was long time ago,

20 years ago and I really donít care,

it's your personal matter.

How am I to explain, man?

You know very well. How am I to explain such things?

Stasiu, let me be frank: I need you to work with Bednarz,

I need it badly.

Every morning by the silver Seine he sells lilacs.

Flowers, May flowers, Like a breath of spring.

Is it you?

- Excuse me? - You?

Faster, faster, faster.

- Good morning, director. - Good morning.

Mr President guessed it right, didnít he?

He told us to wash the stairs and the whole house.

You should not walk on crap.

How do I look?

You used to live here once.

Memories, right? Will you go upstairs?

No, I had no such plans.

Get my assistant. Tell him to find me at the construction site.

Director.

You called me, director,

what is it about?

Listen, young people are coming here, sociologists...

- Yes. - Talented, tested.

Let them do whatever they want: interviews, polls,

you know, the change of the character of a small town

- into an industrial centre. - I see.

Let them write their theses, doctorates,

just arrange one thing, I need information about the public feeling.

- A bit of an exchange, right? - You got it all wrong.

The public feeling in town, not denunciations. Figures, tendencies.

- Youíll arrange a dinner with them. - Yes, sir.

- Is it all, director? - High salaries.

Come up with something.

They have to act quickly and wisely.

And what are you doing here?! Why in this direction?!

At me?! At my home?!

You wonít enter! Iím talking to you!

You can drive over me! Iím talking to you, come on,

drive over me! The house and me!

Come on!

No, I wonít let you in here.

I wonít let you.

Stop! Stop the work! Stop right now!

- I wonít let you! - Come down, please.

Calm down, you see, Iíve stopped the work.

I wonít let you! Iím telling you!

- Director, journalists. - Itís already stopped.

Journalists, director.

- Have you shot it? - No, today I am here as a private person.

- Good morning. - Good morning. Thank God.

Disperse, ladies and gentlemen! Disperse!

In the future I want to be the first to know about such situations.

- Or not to know about them at all. - I do want to be the first to know.

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday, Mr President! Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you!

Ah, welcome, director! Youíre here at last!

Welcome.

Youíre among friends, as you can see. You know Jasiu.

Mr Lech, department of communication. District architect.

Farming, comrade attorney. And here everything, let me tell you,

- is first class. - I see.

Upstairs we have some rooms.

And here, let me show you, something beautiful.

What a bathroom! Oh, Iím sorry,

keep on washing, donít bother.

I ordered beautiful shiny tiles.

Yes, well, these are our plans.

- This quarter is badly located. - Oh, crap.

- Mr President. - Excuse me.

Look, it eats cigarettes, who could have thought.

Mr President! Mr President,

take a look!

Youíve done it wrong.

But youíve paid for it all.

But itís you who approves of the plans and strikes deals with the building company,

while we get the beating. People donít want to let the machines in.

- They protest. - I got cigarettes!

OK, OK, go now.

The whole issue is just a few small private houses.

Private... Their own. Youíve made a mistake.

It might have been a mistake but it doesnít change a thing.

If we donít build there, we must change plans.

Getting the paperwork will take a year. And you must have apartments

for 3000 people in six months.

Otherwise you canít start.

- I will start. - How?

- You promised people apartments. - Mr President.

Iíll explain, buy buses, theyíll commute.

To how many places can we drive or build roads?

Lech! Mr Lech is the head of the department of communication.

Staszek, tell us what the roads are like in the region

- after the rain. - As it is right now

55% are impassable.

- Here you are, director. - Here you are.

Thank you.

Director, letís not talk about such matters.

Letís have a drink. Director...

- Shall we get on first-name terms? - Well, OK.

- I am Bolek. - Stefan.

What are they doing with that deer?

You ate my cigs! You donít know Jasiu.

But you will!

Letís have a drink with Mr Lech.

We know each other very well.

- Cigs, I said! - Scoundrel.

Take it away, right now! Leave it!

Why donít you want Lech?

Well... why? To your health.

And where is to mine?

Here.

Itís here.

Gentlemen, where are you going? Here, here.

This way.

- Ah, good morning. - Good morning.

As I can see youíre working your way up.

- Good morning. - Excuse me.

- Come in, please. - Straight up, straight.

So this is your kitchen. Letís move on.

Here is your bathroom, and this may be your bedroom.

This, letís say, your wifeís room.

And this will be your study.

If you want it, let me just say something.

Weíll put the door here and join two adjacent flats.

- And what have you got there? - Two more small rooms.

- Well, OK. - Come on.

- Have you got the keys? - I do.

- This is a tiny place. - Itíll do for me.

- I just want to ask you a favour. - Yes?

Could you get me roller-blinds?

I will make a darkroom in the other room.

No problem, we have a lot of them at school.

- Iíll get them to send you some. - Great.

What scruffs.

Iíll get someone to clean it up for you later on.

- So what will it be? - Iíll take this one.

- So shall we go? - Go on your own, Iíll stay.

Iím home, after all.

- So goodbye. - Bye.

- Good morning. - Good morning, director.

- How are things? - We manage somehow, minister.

I heard that you objected to Stasio Lech.

The town supports him, we donít mind.

He is a chemist. Why are you so stubborn?

And why canít I choose my deputy?

Why does everybody meddle?

The town supports him, they want to force him on me but they donít want him themselves.

Two coffees, please. Why use such words?

I donít have to tell you about trust but tactics...

I didnít know Iíd have to teach you that.

Iíve just had a call that public opinion took rather badly

your recent interview on TV.

Allegedly, they want neither a highway across the park nor new houses

instead of the old ones.

- Public opinion... - Why make your life harder?

Ah, director, letís get back to the matter -

Lechís presence in the factory is not a concession, it is wisdom.

Anyway, donít we have more important issues?

Precisely, we do.

Coffee for you, minister, here you are.

- Tea for you, here you are. - Ah, thank you.

The phone you tried to call is available now.

Shall I put you through?

- Thank you, not now. - Why not?

Please, make this call.

Excuse me.

Hello, Ewa? This is your father speaking.

Listen, can we meet?

Are you free today? At six p.m.

In the Kameralna cafe.

You know when Bolek became the head of the Culture department,

he gave the job to Heniek right away.

Then Heniek was immediately promoted and later on...

- What Heniek, who are you talking about? - Heniek, fat, bald.

A little similar to me but but fatter and shorter.

- Good evening, daddy. - Good evening.

Are you OK? Itís not easy to call you, Ewunia.

Well, donít call me at that number, daddy, I was there... only by chance.

- Oh... - Write down my new number.

- And a new phone. - 44,

- 44, - 84,

- 84, - 73.

- 73. - Yes.

- How is the dog doing? - OK.

This is your fourth phone number.

One canít live like this, Ewunia. One must know what one wants.

And how is one supposed to live? Like you?

New job, people, home every five years.

I donít know, you left mom alone in Silesia.

And itís OK, isnít it?

- Mom wouldnít go with me. - No.

You donít understand her, daddy.

She just would not. Anyway, you canít remember those days.

We didnít leave for fun.

Mom was in charge of the organisation in the junior highschool.

They sacked a teacher called Lech.

Parcelled out several large private farms.

Many such things.

We left in 1956. How long has it been?

And mom keeps on thinking about it.

You should understand her.

- Have you gotten her a job? - I can do it any time now.

In the same school.

You can... You can arrange anything.

Maybe mom has had enough of it? Because I certainly have.

I wasted two years at the academy, trying to prove I really had talent.

- That it wasnít you who got me there. - Have a drink.

- Itís stuffy here. - Indeed.

You mean I do it all wrong.

No.

And if I left you high and dry it would have been better?

Maybe mom is better off alone.

- ZiÍtulski. - ZiÍtulski, and the first name?

- JÛzef. - Education?

- 7, 8. - Address?

Wichula Street.

- Are you applying for an apartment? - I am.

Do you want an apartment?

Next, please.

Donít push. Please, donít push.

Weíll take all of you. Work more efficiently.

How many technicians have you got?

- How many technicians? - Two.

- And you? - Five.

- Five. How many technicians? Seven? - Two.

Nine.

- And you, how many? - Twelve.

Twelve, and what elementary and incomplete secondary education?

- 49. - 49.

- And incomplete elementary? - 211.

211, OK. Iíll make a call from here.

Youíre welcome.

Yes. Director?

Itís quite OK, we have here as follows -

these are numbers for the moment: 32 technicians,

210 with elementary education... Oh dear, just a moment, director.

What have you done? Calm down!

Weíll take you all anyway. Donít push, move aside.

Is anybody hurt?

Donít start your work breaking windows, my dear.

Move aside.

As I was saying, director, 210 people with elementary education

and so far 680 with incomplete elementary education.

But there is a lot of people here so there will be more, yes.

Oh, here.

Yes, yes, from the other side.

- Yes. - What is it?

Ah, youíre starting, arenít you? At four?

Certainly, but will it be for sure? OK, Iíll let him know right now.

- All right, all right. - Director...

- Yes, thank you. - Director,

Weíre staring DRW-4 at 4 and...

- Hello, Bednarz speaking. - Come here, please.

- Oh here, this document... - Shall I sign it?

- OK, Iíll pass it to him. - OK.

No, no, I told you not to...

Excuse me? OK, OK, yes. All right, bye.

- Who signed it? - Director of transportation.

- What is his name? - Lech, Staszek Lech.

Call the HR.

Miss Hania.

Miss Hania, could you call Piramowicz?

- Piramowicz? OK. - Miss Hania, get some tea

- for me, please. - And for me as well, Miss Hania.

- Will you be back, engineer? - Yes, yes.

- Miss Lodzia... - Check the diffusion pumps.

What is it? Yes?

And the frequency?

Please, come in.

Donít be afraid, you come in. Closer.

Check the pumps. Come on, engineer, well...

Just a moment.

Why donít I know anything about the new director of transportation?

- How long has he worked here? - A month already.

- A protÈgÈ of the National Council. - Yes, yes.

He used to work for their Communication Department.

Yes, yes, yes, frequency.

Why havenít you told me about it?

We need someone, director, who can pull strings

- in the Communication Department. - Why havenít you told me anything?

Director, the engagement was signed

- by the technical director. - Yes!

I said - check the diffusion pumps!

You know that I sign all the engagements myself!

Youíre fired!

Director, you also sign the bonuses for sociologists,

even though they are not employed in production.

Donít exaggerate.

- Youíre fired. Please. - Hello.

Yes.

What was that about bonuses for the sociologists?

What? But we donít pay out any bonuses.

- We do, we do. - We do?

Yes.

Hello? Just a moment.

- The French, the French. - Who is it? Germans?

Itís a pity the day is gone, wind chases clouds across the sky.

- Hello? - I got Katowice for you.

- I said it would be quick. - Thank you.

- Hello. - Hello.

- Yes, yes, hello. - Itís me, Stefan.

I know itís you.

Excuse me but people are telling great jokes here.

What happened? Itís kind of late, isnít it?

- Calm down, itís my husband on the phone. - Itís past four.

So what happened?

Well, if I had been asleep already, would you have something to tell me?

Weíre opening the factory tomorrow, I thought that... you might drop by.

- What are you doing? - Now? Celebrating my birthday.

And many other things - I started to learn English.

I am finishing fixing the apartment. How is the dog doing?

Itís asleep. Listen... All the best.

Thank you. Stefan. Stefan!

- What is it? - Ewa intends to visit you.

She called today to wish me a happy birthday.

- She is to come, she has some fiancÈ a photographer or something. - She does...?

- I couldnít get it straight. - Itís good news.

- Good morning. - Good morning.

A very pleasant celebration, isnít it?

Well, I have to get 20 minutes of material monthly

to earn my salary, so...

- Director... - What is it?

- Weíre waiting. - Iím coming.

- Goodbye. - Goodbye.

The is the head of my computer division.

Arenít you afraid he will know more than you?

- I certainly am. - So you see.

- Champagne for the senses, man. - Listen, itís...

- I have to attract people somehow. - Come on...

Please, excuse the glass, Miss Ewa, but your father asked me

to bring you some champagne.

- Thank you very much. - Maybe you can join us there for a moment?

No, maybe later.

- Weíll be waiting. - Thank you.

Excuse me, director, maybe you can get me some job.

Nobody wants me anywhere.

I can still remember when you were just this tall. Well, maybe that tall.

- Your name is Ewa, isnít it? - Ewa.

We were chopping wood in the forest, I chopped for a colleague

- and he asked me... - Get in touch with HR.

- Heíll arrange everything. - Oh, no, everybody tells me

- to contact you. - Tell him I sent you.

- Tell that... - Youíve grown to be a beautiful girl.

Donít get mad at me.

Iím not mad at you at all.

Letís drink to director Bednarzís health! Guys, let me tell you, drink with me!

Sergeant, please take away this drunk.

- Which one? - He stands next to the bar.

Throw him out at once. People, do something.

One should be human.

If anybody wants to work, let him work.

Just a moment, what is it? What is going on?

Iím not going anywhere!

- Look. - One must not treat

a citizen like this. Why? What was it for, I ask?

You had the hill lit up as well?

- To make it all look even nicer. - Itís the cemetery, Ewunia.

Tell me, daddy, are you happy with all this?

When they call you: the Great Bednarz.

- Do you feel happy? - Itís my job.

Itís not a job. Your job is to build.

But why canít you deal with the simplest human issues?

- You speak like your mother. - Leave me alone, dad.

You harmed that man, well, that Lech.

And why? Why canít you admit it?

Itís bullshit. Why?

Youíre so strong. Why donít you have the courage to

come up to him and say: I am sorry, I was wrong?

Do you want to know what happened here 25 years ago?

No, I donít. It only matters to me what happens today, do you get it? Today.

Did you see it? Did you see them throw out the guy you promised job?

- I didnít. - You didnít?

They carried him out of that wonderful celebration.

Tell me, donít you realise that you have no influence on anything here anymore?

It just canít.

Why are we talking about constructions? Letís talk about me.

What do you know about me? You know nothing.

Youíre afraid to know.

Because I... daddy, I rebel against the deals

which force me to do certain things, do you get it?

Do you think that this is the right way to live?

Yes.

And that was how your two unborn children came into the picture, right?

The UN Security Council is to convene soon in New York,

to discuss the volatile situation in Vietnam.

Now news from the country.

The Chemical Factory in Olecko was officially opened today.

This moment crowned four years of the hard labour

of thousands of people and numerous technical equipment.

During the last four years the present factory was one of the greatest

construction sites in our country. Representatives of the state and party

authorities participated in the opening celebrations.

The constructors of the factory and town inhabitants welcomed the guests.

The most distinguished representatives of the factory,

including the director Stefan Bednarz,

the director of the third stage of construction Jan Marcinkowski and the director of

works coordination Jan WÛjcik, received high state orders from

the Minister of Chemical Industry.

The factory was opened by the Minister of Industry and Commerce.

It is estimated that in the first year of operations the factory should

give 214 million zlotys of profit and produce

32 thousand tons of nitric fertilizers

needed by our agriculture.

The guests visited the factory production halls

and they were acquainted with the plans of further expansion.

The hosts presented a number of available social services.

The ceremony was followed by folk festivities

on which we should report in the coming issue of

the weekly social issues magazine.

I havenít seen it yet, when did you get it?

- Yesterday. - What is it...?

- Sonar. - Ah, well.

- And what is this? - Blende visor.

Beautiful.

- Take a look. - Excuse me?

Beautiful horses.

I am trying to listen to your arguments impartially.

I have come to the conclusion that the investment brought

only negative changes to your town which had been perfect formerly.

I must reveal something of a secret to you,

well... anyway, itís not much of a secret, Iíve known this town,

I was... I used to live here, and I know its former problems.

People used to say here:

they are building elsewhere, there are investments elsewhere,

and we have nothing.

Do you really mean that the factory is going to be three times larger

than it is at the moment?

Yes, youíre right, itíll be three times larger.

- So what will it be? - No, you must be joking.

- How are we going to live? - Director, I just wanted for a moment -

ladies and gentlemen, please, letís look out the window.

These are our problems that we have to deal with

and your arguments in this particular place

are to us, excuse the expression, somewhat vapid.

- These are details. - Stop joking, bloody hell!

My colleague expressed himself too drastically, but...

- Where are we supposed to go? - I think you should have a somewhat broader...

- broader view of the whole matter... - Broader? And when a child is sick for three days

and the doctor doesnít come because there is only one clinic

when the number of inhabitants increased tenfold.

- Dear madam... - And the doctor doesnít come for three days

because there are too few doctors, these are vapid arguments?

But you are an authority in this town.

- Excuse me sir... - We may be the authority, dear sir,

in the factory. Unfortunately, we canít be the authority in town.

But why canít you come and see the conditions we live in,

buy something in our shop,

- take... see how children... - Mrs Ma≥gosia, Mrs Ma≥gosia,

the gentleman speaks of social activists.

If you came to the meetings where we take the same place

as you do at the moment, and if you could hear what people tell us,

- I donít know how youíd respond. - You canít solve social problems

by putting on some square

the slogan: ìbook is a friend of manî.

We donít do it, actually.

- Itís not what weíre here for, sir. - We really came here desperate.

Dear madam, maybe I... I get dragged into this mood of yours,

and Iíd like to take a stand in a calm manner

on my own behalf as well as that of the director and the factory.

Ladies and gentlemen, all the issues that you presented here,

and which we have heard, well, so... which, let me repeat

and, please, hear me out, are not a part of our concerns.

Ladies and gentlemen, with such issues you should approach the President of the National Council,

get them to work. We should all try to do it.

I think I will express what we all feel.

In the most general terms we want you to be concerned with it all

as much as... as much as it concerns us.

We live in socialism after all, donít we?

- Itís a heavy argument. - Dear madam, I see no need to

be reminded of such things. I guess we have said enough

and weíll try to draw conclusions,

from what you presented, thank you ladies and gentlemen.

Thank you very much.

So we have gained exactly as much as we expected, havenít we?

- OK, thank you. - Good bye.

- Good bye. - Good bye, thank you.

- Good bye. - Good bye.

Good bye.

Good bye.

Ms Haneczka, please, sit down.

Ms Hania, if such a delegation comes here in the future,

please, do not send it to director Bednarz, will you?

Engineer, but itís not my fault, I do what I am told

- after all, donít I? - Naturally, you do what youíre told,

so Iím telling you now not to let in any more

- any such delegations, OK? - OK.

Please, send them rather to me or to... director Lech.

- But preferably to me. - OK.

Bednarz has too much on his plate, he just doesnít like it.

- OK? - OK, OK.

- Thank you. - Youíre welcome.

Well, an interesting text, what do you intend to do with it?

They promised to publish it

- in the "Polityka" weekly. - With pictures of the authors, right?

Why with pictures of the authors? What do you mean?

You want noise, much ado, and youíre making your careers, arenít you?

You want to make a name for yourselves.

Look, I brought you here to see it all

- from a perspective, from a distance. - Why donít you order better results?

Whatís the problem? Youíve got the money, donít you?

You underestimate me. I donít mean forgeries.

You write about the negative atmosphere in town, unrest.

But when you talk to people, when you ask questions,

donít you forget what goes on here?

And it can be seen from here. Iíd like you to be convinced

but I want to convince you in private, not officially.

Dear sir, weíre just starting we really donít have to do anything yet.

Weíre here because we believe in what you do,

in what you show us. All this research, the polls, the articles

are only meant to show what it all is really like.

Truth and belief, however, are two different things.

Weíre after the truth and a practical conclusion for you may be

to make less mistakes.

- My mistakes? - Well, not yours - in general.

I know you donít mean it this way but it will be read

as a list of my mistakes.

So do you want to publish it?

- We donít have to. - We canít without you,

- you know it very well. - I can pull some strings.

But not now, itís not the right moment.

Weíre beginning our broadcast from the May Day March. The whole town is in the streets.

Some joined the march, others watch it,

our beautiful, colourful May Day March.

Even the weather suits the noble character of

the working class celebrations.

Our scouts are getting ready for their summer holidays,

over 3000 participants are expected to join the action.

Scouts will go to camps:

at the seaside, in the mountains, in the Mazury, and in Warsaw province.

The Polish Scouting Union will also...

Good morning.

Ewa gave birth to a baby.

- When? - Yesterday at midnight.

I took the 1 a.m. train.

So she was pregnant when I saw her last...

- She decided to quit the academy. - Well...

- Go back home for a year. - To you?

Well, yes, home.

Maybe you need money or something else?

Come with me for a moment.

- And then weíll go to eat something. - OK, I havenít slept a wink tonight.

A daughter?

There are over 25.000 pupils.

2000 teachers work here.

9000 children attend 17 elementary schools.

They are taught by 430 teachers while there is about 100 teachers

in 16 kindergarterns. In such a numerous group of teachers...

- What happened? - What is he doing here?

- Who? - Lech.

He works for me.

I want to go now.

- Stay for a moment. - No, not anymore.

In the granulation building plaster is falling off the walls.

- One can stick a finger into cracks in concrete. - Structural beams crack.

We cool the installation down - production stops. We switch it on - tons of saltpetre fall on the roofs.

When it rains, everything gets wet. Gentlemen, we have no choice, we must build

a 300 meter tall chimney.

How much will the area over which the saltpetre spray increase?

- 6, maybe 8 kilometres. - Gigantic.

I remember how years ago we approved of you, comrade Bednarz,

as the director of a great chemical factory.

A strong argument in your favour was your social-economic experience

among the working classes.

Bearing in mind our responsibility to the party we have prepared

a memo which comrades could read before the current meeting.

The memo presents the difficult situation

which arose in the largest factory of our region, the Olecko conglomerate plant.

The propaganda secretary has the floor.

Comrades, the basics of the matter have been presented in the documents

prepared by the committee as well as in the speeches of comrades secretaries.

However, I would like to draw your attention to one issue, namely,

the connection of these matters to the ideological conduct of the factory workers.

The slogan written on the factory wall resulted from

the ignorance of certain people and was a means to the creation of

an even more unhealthy atmosphere in the very factory,

as well as unnecessary rumours in town.

And that showed a lack of efficiency on your part.

The slogan could have been erased much earlier instead of

10 or 11 a.m. You know Olecko after all.

You know it very well. You know that there are actually good people here.

Good people work at the plant. Good people do work.

And still the conflicts only get worse. You failed to create an appropriate atmosphere

even though we know well that you work a lot.

The first secretary of the regional committee in Olecko.

Comrades, we are trying to find out what to do to improve the situation at the factory.

I believe the whole staff should also be asked this question.

Nobody knows better what is the cause then they.

People should be allowed to work and decide, comrade Bednarz.

Very much so.

Our observations prove that for some time, Iíd like to stress it,

for some time director Bednarz does not see people, does not listen to people,

does not trust them.

But if you see it

you should have helped him earlier draw his attention to the fact.

Just a moment.

- Instead of waiting till today. - Maybe before comrade director responds

I may ask a direct question.

It concerns the well known issue of stopping construction works.

Resulting from the lack of educational work

in the factory. You were one of the first there.

You failed to notify this party committee.

You did not notify the regional committee, you made the decision yourself.

You mustnít act like this, director. Let me repeat it: you mustnít act like this.

But one must react, even if the sense of

- injustice is subjective. - I would like to ask, comrade secretary...

Youíre welcome.

Stefan, you must remember, when I was in Olecko, we worked together.

I think that after my departure you took upon yourself

many matters that had been dealt with by many activists from the party and trade unions,

and state administration. You got people used to think

that whenever there was a problem Bednarz could fix it.

Now they donít come to the National Council, they go to see you.

Also in matters which are completely outside your area.

Wait... you have gotten used to it but now you can see the results,

well, you canít manage on your own, man, you wonít, you have to... or youíll flop.

- Thank you, comrade. - Thank you very much.

I have a question for comrade Bednarz.

Comrade director, are the presented conclusions

of members of the present committee clear to you?

Are you able to remove these striking shortcomings and flaws

in close cooperation with the party, trade unions,

and youth organisation?

Yes, I will try to fight the problems which arose and which I myself

believe should be fought. However, I must state here

that I canít change my working style,

form of my work. I canít change my personality just like that.

Become somebody else.

Listen, Jasiu, what is going on?

What?

- Do you know there was the committee meeting? - Thatís what Iím talking about.

- The director got his ears boxed. - Seriously?

- Very much so. - But what was that exactly?

Well, we both know very well what the matter was, donít we?

But there is no change? He stays, doesnít he?

- Naturally, he does. - Ah, listen, was there anything about us?

There was, your name was mentioned as well.

What do they want from me?

- How far is it to the factory? - Some 1500 metres.

Exactly 2300 metres, director.

Thank you.

Itís all to be cut down?

Yes, these trees are dead.

Jasiu, what is the real distance?

- Over 4 kilometres. - Holy Jesus, 4 kilometres.

You see, this is a massive opportunity for the region.

The state invested a lot of money not just in the construction of the plant.

It is estimated that the industry will act as a stimulus to the development of culture.

The plant will give people work and bread while at the same time

beautiful new quarters, swimming pools, tennis courts

will be built, there will even be a theatre.

- Director, and how do you foresee... - Is this a Nagra?

It is.

You see, this is the best tape recorder in the world.

One can change peopleís lives, improve them.

Have you heard what you were saying, director?

I have, so what?

- Iíd like to continue with this programme. - Why donít you make one about Kudelski?

This is an evident achievement. This here is mere grandiosity,

- nothing too interesting. - But these are obvious subjects, director.

And I am a difficult one? What is your thesis: am I good or evil?

Itís not so simple, director. I have a recorded interview with you

from six years ago. Iíd like to see what is going on now, what will happen in the future,

well, continue with it somehow.

- What was the reason for your uncleís death? - He always had some problems with the heart,

so, you know...

Yes... You have to give me some time.

Call me in a week, will you?

Well, OK.

Do you want to listen to your bossí voice?

- One can change peopleís lives. - Yes, I will, no, you have to arrange

- the hotel on your own. - improve them.

- Iím glad it is my job. - Stop fooling around, will you?

Oh, Stefan. It great to see you.

Excuse me but you did not inform us of your arrival, minister.

- Good morning, director, good morning. - Good morning.

- Itís nothing. - Hi.

Mr Lech has already showed us the most important things.

- I am giving up the place right now. - Ah, that is very well so.

This way, minister.

Weíll join you presently, gentlemen.

Well, it looks very well from high above, doesnít it?

It all depends on the people.

As you can see we managed.

Two, three young engineers, more talented than the French.

Allegedly you perpetrated a horrible cleansing here.

- I did. - And what about the forest?

Still smaller. Did you want to tell me something, minister?

I thought it was you.

Iíd like to resign, minister.

- Are we talking in private? - We havenít done everything here.

Neither have I. Of what we wanted.

I think we made a mistake at the very beginning.

I donít want to drag it on, increase it, and I donít want to lie either.

Do you feel responsible?

No, and that is the worst part. Just stupid.

Youíre very hard. I must be strict.

What shall we tell those who invested here their careers, their lives?

And what shall we tell those who wait for the production?

It is exactly what Iíd rather avoid saying.

Donít you care for your own career?

No, I feel tired.

- Do you accept my resignation? - I donít.

You have to complete this task - with heart as you started it.

Gentlemen, in your opinion, why does it happen this way?

Decisions are made at meetings but they donít reach you.

We have learned that truth is not the way to success.

If one tells the truth, one always gets punished,

even if the truth could...

The old saying that virtue fears no criticism

is not always true.

That is why the director knows nothing because nothing reaches him at all.

It goes through some channels and disappears in them and this is the end.

It never reaches him which is why such a director

can't handle it all. It is mostly the problem with

the people who stop it all somehow,

- if they could only be altered. - So it is the matter of making it possible

for the workers to speak but to speak openly,

without beating around the bush.

I think we always speak honestly. Itís just that it doesnít always...

Stop the camera.

- What is it all about? - I want you to switch off the camera.

- And where are you from? - I am from the management, sir.

Would you be so kind as to join us?

- Micha≥. - What is it?

- Youíre from the TV, arenít you? - Indeed.

May I ask for your ID?

Naturally.

Here you are.

Thank you very much.

The matter is, gentlemen, that... you have the directorís approval, donít you?

Naturally, I spoke to director Bednarz and everything is arranged.

- So I donít understand why... - Well, not everything,

the director gave a general approval,

- but the details - Naturally.

you should arrange with me or the department of information.

I have a list of people who can give interviews

and youíll get my approval to talk to them.

And without such an approval, unfortunately,

- you have to end it. - Do you mean to tell me that

- I canít speak to these workers? - Well, you can take it like this.

I will also... if you donít mind, like to listen to this tape

which you have just recorded.

It is the first time ever that

- Iíve experienced such a situation. - I am very sorry, gentlemen,

but unfortunately you have to leave the premises.

OK?

Go back to work, gentlemen.

Wonít you even let us talk, director?

No, no, letís not treat it like this, we'll talk at some other time.

- Director. - What is it?

Director, I had a phone call, that Ga≥ecki, the journalist, you know.

Maybe Iíll write it for you?

No, no, no. A call from Warsaw?

No, from the porterís booth.

Try to break it to him gently that I am here but I donít want to talk to him.

- OK. - You havenít quit smoking, have you?

Anna Maria looks ahead still.

- I knew youíd ultimately find me. - Good afternoon.

Good afternoon. Please, come in.

- After you. - After you.

Do you know that three days ago your man threw me out of the factory?

Ah, indeed. That Jurek. Itís just his style.

Ah, well, yes. You want to go for a walk.

Please, come in for a moment.

I am afraid I must take it for a walk. Excuse me.

Come on, come on, letís go.

Look how it jumps.

Come on, come on.

Go to your cot, right now.

Where did you get this picture, director?

I took it myself.

Go away. Do you like it?

Itís absolutely incredible. This is my uncleís housekeeper.

We used to live there during the war, so it just has to be

me in this picture.

My parents say I had very curly hair, itís a pity itís not visible here.

How is your programme?

- Excuse me? - How is your programme?

My reportage?

Well, you know, I was to call you.

I wanted to have a chat about it but I could not

get through to you during the last three days so...

Are you surprised that you canít get through, that I donít want to talk to you?

I am afraid of people who fight against me because of different views.

- Just like everybody else. - May I lend a hand, director?

Please, do, you can butter the bread.

You see when I was in your office it seemed to me then

that you were not afraid, that you almost agreed,

that you actually wanted to, that was my impression.

We all have our moments of weakness.

Was the film against me, against the method or the idea?

You know, I thought of something more ambiguous.

I didnít want to be just flat, simple reporting.

I wanted a movie about you the way you are, at home, at work,

- as I see you. - Right now?

- In a moment like this as well. - Well...

Take it with you and Iíll bring some more.

- To the room? - Yes, to the room.

Well, so itís to me.

- To me. - Do you think so?

I care mostly for the people, I have an impression that people

do not feel that they are the owners of what is theirs.

They fight against you and lose, lose the sense of ownership, justice.

Everything slips away. You canít change it with new bathrooms.

People may not want others to make their lives better,

they may want things to remain as they are.

You asked me the cause of my uncleís death.

It wasnít his heart. It was being true to an idea that killed him.

He struggled, felt bad,

and one day his heart just failed.

You know... anyway, I am not sure if you know that it was he who wrote:

"Down with the factory".

- Alone, at night. - What?

He went on his own?

- Yes, he took a bucket. - At night?

Yes, he took a bucket, paints, a brush and he wrote it. Sheer lunatic.

Well...

I think that people will gradually learn to perceive what is around them as their own.

It will be their home, their factory, their street, their country, just a different one.

Will it be worse? I donít know.

Will they want to go back to what disappears now?

Surely, one can get use to just anything, director.

Try to tell that to those whose... whose land yields a half of

what it may. Who wait in queues

for every sack of fertilizer I produce here.

They are a majority and that must mean something.

Youíre tired, director.

Weíre all tired.

Listen, all the people you fight for are asleep.

Itís late.

Do you think I do it all against them?

But why is it so?

Why the people from here... the wiser, the better,

I mean the older people, they donít want to participate in these decisions?

They chose this place.

So did your uncle.

Did you participate in these decisions from the very beginning yourself?

I did.

And can you say now that you have a clear conscience?

Not really.

- Have you read it? - Yes, I listened to the communiquÈ.

So what can we change?

Listen, man, if you need any help, you can count on me.

We can only have a clear conscience.

- Are you going to the factory? - I am.

Get in.

Director.

Are there any journalists, reporters on the premises?

There are no journalists but there are film-makers.

But they are making an educational movie about work safety.

- Throw them out right now. - Yes.

Letís go downstairs, secretary, to the people.

Did you want to talk to me? Very well.

Here I am.

Listen, I am not going to hide anything. We all know well what the atmosphere is in the country.

I want you to know that I am with you.

But remember, we must act wisely,

not in a rush.

Yes, itís T4.

Hello? Hello?!

Fucking... technology...

Stefan, by God, why did you leave?

All these ceremonies have their fixed structure.

You know about it well.

The minister has arrived, a number of other important people have arrived.

It has to go its course.

People donít like changes.

But thatís the way it is, right?

People prepared flowers...

When are you moving in here?

Here?

I donít need to move in here, my office is just the same.

- The same furniture. - Each office is the same, isnít it?

I guess so, will you have a drink?

Give me some, it might be better than a pill.

Listen, man...

Iíd like you to understand... itís not because of me,

all of this.

It just happened this way.

Excuse me for interrupting.

I am here just for a second, because, director,

we may not see each other again, I wanted to say goodbye

and thank you for everything.

You see, this gentleman is at least a realist, am I right?

I wish you all...

Well, I hope I didnít waste anything during all these years.

You have a fairly decent point of departure.

- All the best. - Thank you.

Your private books are still here.

- Here you are. - Ah, thank you.

And now on your own.

Walk on your own.

Donít hold on to anything, walk on your own.

Walk on your own.

Come on, walk.

Walk on your own.

On your own, like this.

Walk nicely on your own.

So weíre back on the floor again, arenít we?

Come on, try again.

Oh my, come here.

Try to walk on your own. Good. Now on your own.

Walk now.

You should crouch.

You see, beautifully. You can do it.

Now Iíll let you go, like this. Come, come.

Come to me. You see, you can do it.

Come, Piotruú.

Walk on your own, you have to learn how to walk, donít you?

Itís nothing, come.

Do you see how well youíre doing?

Look away, there is an elephant.

Come back now. Back.

Come to grandpa.

On your own, you see.

Oh, well, itís hard, itís hard.

Itís not that hard at all.

Come, letís go to mommy.

"I can't say words in the right order when I speak English..." - Duration: 10:48.

well hello there i hope you are enjoying

a fantastic day I'm Drew Badger the

world's first and number one English

Fluency Guide and in this video i'm

going to answer a question i receive

well a lot but I asked some people on

Facebook recently for some questions and

this was one that I received both from

MC and from Barbara and this is how do I

use words in the right order in English

sentences and now I know this is a

tricky problem because most people again

you're learning things a traditional way

and really what happens is you're

learning things through translations and

then basically you're adding another

step when you have to speak so let's say

I'm trying to learn Japanese but I'm

learning it through english i would

think a sentence in english in my head

and then I would translate try to change

the order of things around in Japanese

you know in my head and then try to

speak and hopefully I set it correctly

but what we want you to do is actually

to just use all of these things in the

right order the right way automatically

and spontaneously so you need to develop

the habit this is aware you hear me use

a lot on this channel in all of my

videos I talk about developing the

habits of a native speaker so let's talk

about how you develop the habit of using

things in the right way now specifically

for using the right order what you have

to stop doing is learning things through

your native language so if you're

watching videos or learning with lessons

or reading things that are teaching you

like using French or Spanish or

Portuguese or Italian whatever to learn

English you need to stop using that

because all it's doing is helping you

learn information but forcing you to

translate in your head before you speak

all of these waves like if you just want

to pass the test you don't care about

actually speaking then you pry shouldn't

be watching my videos anyway I'm all

about speaking confidence and fluency

but really you can use these lessons if

you just want to pass a test that's

perfectly fine but when you have a test

remember that you can read a question

try to take time translate into your

head and then and then write the answer

down or choose the correct answer but in

a conversation you have to respond and

you have to speak confidently with

people you have to respond spontaneously

when someone says something to you you

don't want to wait you know a couple

seconds or even think

something great to say like after the

conversation is finished and maybe

you've had that experience before when

you're in a conversation somebody says

something to you and you think I don't

quite know how to say it maybe half an

hour later you think I had a great thing

to say but now the conversation is

finished and I can't do anything it's

like thinking of a great joke 10 minutes

too late and really it doesn't help you

out so here's how we do this there are

basically two steps to doing this and it

really just involves practice and

developing again to habit the habit

habit habit it's all about habits not

about informations about habit so the

habit here we want to focus on is how do

you use words in the right order

especially if you're going from a

language that maybe has things in the

opposite way like Spanish and English

are different but maybe Japanese in

English are similar because the

adjective comes before the now just as

an example but what I want you to do is

begin with the first step which is

moving always from simple to complex so

from a basic thing to a more difficult

one from a short thing to a long one and

then at every step that you're

increasing you should be practicing

variation so you can get maybe a a

better sense of how to use things

automatically so the first thing let's

say we're going to use a sentence let's

let's just build a sentence together so

we're going to build a sentence with car

so that's the thing we're talking about

that's the subject of the sentence so I

can just say the word car that's all I'm

going to say and I just want to say it

like loud and proud car car car car car

car and I'm just practicing saying that

don't worry we'll get to longer

sentences but you want to first if you

can't even say one word confidently it

doesn't matter about learning all these

other things or trying to say more

difficult sentences so remember the

first thing you're just saying car car

car now maybe I'm going to add some

variation into that I'm going to just

say a different word like banana banana

banana banana and I'm trying to say it

in different ways like banana like I'm

like stinking deeply like banana banana

or I'm scared like banana you know

you're just you're practicing with the

same word but you're just getting used

to saying these things and this is what

gets you flew and this is what helps you

play with the language and get

more confident about using a language so

we begin with our first word car we're

going to go back to it and now we have

to think like what kind of car are we

talking about we're talking about a car

the car depending on if it's just like a

any any car we have a specific car in

mind so maybe in my mind I'm thinking

about a specific car like the car and

maybe I could do this with other words

i'm going to use a little bit of

variation i could say a car or the car

or the banana or the tree the mouse the

dog the bird the chair the blackboard

the clock anything like this again i'm

just i'm taking this once i understand

the i'm talking about a specific thing

like the the the temperature the clock

the room you know the environment

whatever else it is you want to use but

you're again you're adding just one more

thing but practicing with a little bit

of that variation so always your you're

growing from a little bit more simple to

a little bit more complex but then

taking time at each level that you

improve to add a little bit of variation

so now let's continue so we've got the

car and let's make it a bit more

complicated the car I saw the car I saw

so we're talking about this thing and

then the relationship it has with you so

the car I saw the car I saw maybe I can

add some variation to this like the car

he saw the car she saw if I'm talking

about somebody else or I could say the

banana I saw its it's important when

you're introducing variation in two

sentences just so you get used to using

them that you just change one word so

the car I saw or the banana I saw or the

banana he saw so I'm just making these

one simple change or making one simple

change in these sentences and practicing

using them in the right order and you

can find sentences that just show the

sentence structure of something for

anything the important point is not just

to know it it's to actually practice it

so you use it automatically so let's

continue so we got car the car the car I

saw now where where did I see the car

we're going to think where did I see it

not the car I saw on the street the car

I saw on the street now we have an idea

of on the street that's a specific

occasion we have the relationship it's

like a car and myself so the car I saw

on the street the car I saw on the

street now we could say well I could I

could put some variation like the car I

saw in the garage the car I saw on the

bridge the car I saw under the water you

know whatever we're just changing the

sentence around so we get practice using

it and you can just do this you can talk

to yourself talk to a mirror talk to

your friends and say hey let me just

maybe tell you a few things you can even

just try typing this if you don't have

anybody right near you to practice

speaking with and you can do that

actually you should be doing that right

in the comments below this video you

should go down and type some different

things like the same way that you know

pick your own sentence create your own

thing write some variations about it so

far we've got the car I saw on the

street now what's what's like the

conclusion of this sentence why is this

information important the car I saw on

the street was red so that's the whole

sentence we're going to use the car I

saw on the street was red so I'm just

saying oh I saw a red car now you can

make a simple thing like this but again

this is just showing you how you can

make things a bit more interesting in

detailed but it's all just pieces of

information that you put in the sentence

but again the only way to actually use

these things confidently and maybe just

actually fluently in the conversation is

number one you have to practice using it

and you have to go from simple to

complex and then number two you're

introducing some variation in these as

you practice so the car I saw on the

street was read the car I saw on the

street was blue the cars to saw on the

street was a crazy mixture of different

colors so I can make it even longer and

more interesting and I'll do this in

Japanese as well just like think of a

sentence and like how can i how can I

manipulate that sentence in a particular

way but this is what you do if you want

to use things in the right order it's

not about learning the right order it's

about practicing the right border so

don't go out and try to learn a whole

bunch of new things until you can focus

at each step and then you can you can

know like exactly what level you're

struggling at because ok I can save the

car but I can't save the car I saw so

wherever you're struggling with that's

the exact point where you know you have

to make

progress and this is how you can improve

by yourself this is exactly what i did

in japanese without having a specific

teacher to say oh you shouldn't do that

i just look at examples and text books

or whatever and to say like i'm not

studying the textbook way i'm just

getting examples of correct speech and

then i would say okay like the banana is

blue then okay maybe the banana is red

ah so now I can make a different

sentence like that so this is exactly

how you practice to get the correct word

order in sentences and if you want to

become a consonant fluent speaker this

is how you do it so this is just one

specific problem and this is again how

you do it how you solve that and if

you'd like to learn even more about that

all of the things we help learners with

all of the different habits that people

need to develop these are all things

that we help people with with our

fluency quiz so if you want to take our

quiz and it will tell you exactly what

you specifically need to focus on

whether it's grammar or pronunciation or

you need to learn more vocabulary all of

these little things we teach you exactly

how to do it and it all works perfectly

because again it's the exact same way

native speakers learn anyway I don't

want to talk too much but what I would

you would like you to do is in the

comments section below this try writing

in its similar kind of thing come up

with your own sentences it can be

similar structure to what I have or you

can do it about something else but just

take a sentence and write down kind of

the pieces of it in order that you would

learn in these different things along

with some variation so that's the thing

I'd like you to do that'll be your

homework and whether you can use it when

you're practicing with someone or if

you're just writing it down in the

comments below the more you practice the

faster you get one it's that simple have

a fantastic day do click on the link

below or in the link in the description

or on the link i should say in the

description below this video to take our

free english fluency quiz and learn

exactly how to improve everything you

need to do so that you can start

speaking fluent english confidently i

look forward to seeing you in the next

video and i wish you a fantastic day bye

bye

Why I'm GLAD I Gained 10 Pounds! (PLUS a Swim Suit Season Pep Talk) 👙 - Duration: 5:20.

Okay we're going. We're just gonna -- we're

just gonna go. I don't know how to start

this video. I've been thinking about it

for weeks now and I have no idea how to

start, so I'm just gonna say it: I have

gained 10 pounds. Well eight actually, but

I just round up because it's easier to

just say 10. And it's been an interesting

process. I used to struggle with an

eating disorder. The numbers on the scale

and the size of my pants determined my

worth for a very long time, and so every

single day I would weigh myself on the

scale like four or five times a day even.

And so the thought of gaining 10 pounds

has always been like the worst thing

that could possibly happen to me. When my

husband and I got married a year and a

half ago, he really wanted me to gain

some weight. Looking back I realize he

was totally right, but at the time I was

like, "I don't need to gain weight! Like

I've overcome my eating disorder; I'm at

a healthy weight" -- all this stuff. And

girls, I've gained ten pounds. And at

first it was not pleasant. Like I was

like, I don't know what to do with my

body, like I look so different -- even

though it was only in my own mind; I

didn't look different anyone else. I

went up a pant size and I was like,

this is weird! But a few weeks ago I

realized like I'm actually glad that

I've gained ten pounds, and today I want

to tell you why. And I want to talk about

the pressures we feel during swimsuit

season. So let's do that.

I am so much stronger. Like it used to be

that I would try to work out or go for a

run and I'd work out for like five

minutes and I'd be like, "Has it been an

hour yet? Like I can't do this!" And I

would get lightheaded and dizzy and I

would feel like I was gonna pass out. But

because I gained some weight I can

actually work out now! Like this is crazy --

girls I went and did this 45-minute

hardcore Tabata class the other day with

my husband. At the end of my husband was

like, "Wow I feel like I'm just like

shredded!" I seriously was like, "I'm not

tired." So I went for a run! This is

shocking to me, to my family, to my

husband, to my friends -- they're all like,

"Who are you??" I'm me plus ten pounds --

that's who I am! And like my muscles -- like,

I have muscles!! Maybe you guys are like,

"That's nothing," but for me, I have muscles.

I just have so much more energy for life. Like I would get so tired all the time

and it was debilitating -- it would be like

it was eight o'clock and I felt like I

had to go to bed you know cuz I like

couldn't function. I was like nauseous I

was so tired. Part of that was because of

my back was out of line. Actually

recently I started going to a counselor

for my anxiety, I started going to a

chiropractor for my back, I cut coconut

out of my diet (random long story there),

and I have gained close to 10 pounds. And

with all those changes it's like night

and day. Part of it I really think was I

don't have enough weight on me and so

now that I have gained more weight I'm

stronger, I have more energy. It's like

it's so worth it! Like why would I want

to live my life feeling like I'm half

dead?? I want to enjoy life! And as long as

I'm focused on a number or a size, I

can't enjoy life. I don't even have the

energy to enjoy life because I'm too

skinny! So girls I guess the reason I'm

telling you all this right now is

because it's almost swimsuit season, and

that was the time of year when I would

start to feel really discouraged about

my body and want to go on all these

diets. And I just want to tell you like,

we live in a culture that's all about

losing the last 10 pounds, but that's not

always what's healthy and it's not

always going to make you feel the best.

Do what's good for your body. Like for some

of us, we might need to lose a little

weight; for some of us, we

might need to gain a little weight, but

for all of us, we need to eat good food

and exercise and get enough sleep and

drink enough water and take time to like

rest and meditate and be with God. And

having those things be in balance in

your life is way more important than

what you weigh. Having a balanced, healthy

lifestyle is going to give you more

energy, make you stronger, make you enjoy

life more. Honestly. And so don't worry so

much about losing that last 10 pounds to

be bikini-ready and try to look like all

the models, because that's not going to

make you feel good. That's not going to

give you energy. Instead have that

balanced lifestyle. And here's the crazy

thing: Like I feel way sexier too. Like my

body has more curve to it, my butt has

gotten bigger which I've always dreamed

of, like who knew? I just had to gain some

weight! Like I always thought that losing

weight would make my body look the way

it was supposed to, but God didn't

design us to be this like super skinny

human being. I mean there are some people

whose bodies are just very thin. But for

the majority of us, it's like our bodies

were meant to have some meat on them and

it looks hot! You know? And so like I feel

more beautiful; my husband thinks that I'm

more beautiful; like it's kind of awesome!

So girls, as swimsuit season comes, don't

worry so much about the number on the

scale or the size of your clothes. Instead just focus on being healthy,

being strong, being who God made you to

be. And girls I want to hear from you:

like what is the hardest thing for you

about learning to love your body? Because

I want to hear your thoughts and I want

to talk about those things together.

Thank you for listening to all this and

I hope it can encourage you! Remember: Be

you. You are beautiful and you are loved.

So I'll see you on Friday. Love you girls!

Bye.

[ENG CC] [RECIPE] how to make Egg Tart (エッグタルト) / EJ recipe - Duration: 3:44.

First make the short crust pastry.

Place the soft flour and medium flour in the blender and blend it with some salt and sliced butter.

When the butter splits into little pieces, pour some cold water and make the batter.

Place the tart batter in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge for 1hour.

While the tart batter is resting, make the filling.

Cut the vanilla bean in half and scrape the seed with a knife.

Place the fresh cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla bean in a pot and warm it.

Do not boil it, just warm it a little.

Beat the egg yolk with a whisk.

Strain the warm liquid in a strainer and pour it in the egg yolk and mix it.

At this point, when the temperature is too high, the egg yolk will be cooked so use it while it is not hot(A temperature where you can touch it).

Pour some flour on the short crust pastry so that it will not stick to the table, and slice it into 6 pieces.

Press the sliced short crust pastry, like it will stick to the muffin frame to do a panning.

Pour 90% of the filling into the short crust pastry.

In a pre-heated oven in 180℃/356℉, bake it for 40~45min.

Cool off the baked tart on a wire rack to cool.

This is a Macao style Egg Tart.

A tasty Egg Tart with a crisp short crust pastry and a sweet filling!

I have made some Egg Tart, since there was alot of left over egg yolk from the Meringue Cookie that I made last time.

By putting some coloring on the top, it looks more tasty~!

I will see you guys again soon with a tasty clip :)

Trump's Easter message Jews rule! Happy Passover - Duration: 5:48.

Trumps Easter

message Jews rule! Happy Passover

by Edward Morgan

Is the President being held hostage? Was this video a cry for help? Or did his captors issue

it to send a message: We have completed our coup. We are in total control. Do not

even think of f*ing with us!

Watch the above video again. What is wrong with this picture?

Look, I LOVE religious minorities, okay? Im Muslim myself. I love my Jewish friends. I

used to practice Buddhist meditation. And I still revere the wisdom of the Tao and the

Upanishads and the many wonderful Native American spiritual traditions.

But lets face it: The United States of America is a Christian-majority country. Today

is Easter. The Presidents holiday message should be: Happy Easter!

Instead, the President of the (Christian-majority) United States has issued an Easter message

that looks more like a hostage video. A professor at a major university who saw it emailed me:

Oh my God. Talk about the demeanor of a mind-controlled zombie..

Instead of saying happy Easter and talking about Jesus, and maybe throwing in some eggs

and rabbits as a sop to Christian-pagan syncretism, Trump begins by rambling on and on about how

wonderful Jews are. He couldnt make it any clearer that his main holiday message

is Happy Passover! When he finally gets around to mentioning Easter, its almost

an afterthought.

The video has abysmally poor production values, considering that its coming from the White

House. Its too dark. And Trump looks extremely low-energy like a kidnapping victim in

a hostage video with someone offscreen pointing a gun at his head or a knife at his foreskin.

Trumps Passover video reminds me of the nationally televised speech by George

W. Bush in early December, 2001. Bush gave that speech, in which he monotonously intoned

the shibboleths of the Israeli-fabricated War on Terror, in front of an Israeli

flag, not an American one.

What makes Trumps f*ck Easter, Happy Passover message even weirder is the whole

history between Jews and Christians. (As a Muslim, I am able to get some distance and

objectivity on this very sensitive issue.)

Until around 1800, when the Rothschilds took over the financial centers of Western Europe

and imposed their ideological hegemony on the West, Christians took it for granted that

the Jews killed Jesus, as the Gospels tell us in so many words. Jews, for their

part, evinced extreme loathing for Christianity in general and Jesus in particular. The Christian

was Esau, the naive, hairy, primitive fool who needed to be swindled out of his

birthright by Jacob the heel AKA Israel. And Jesus, according to the Talmud, is being

boiled eternally in excrement.

Maybe its a good thing that the Jews and Christians are getting over their horrible

history of mutual hatred. But it strikes me as odd that the way theyre getting over

it is through a stealth Jewish-Zionist takeover of the West, accompanied by what can only

be called the annihilation of traditional Christianity. Trumps Easter message, coming

in the wake of the ouster of Steve Bannon (Catholic) and elevation of Jared Kushner

(Kosher Nostra) is a sign of the times.

Secrets For Sensitive People Why Emotional Empaths Stay Lonely - Duration: 8:13.

Secrets For Sensitive People Why Emotional Empaths Stay Lonely

BY GOSTICA

Loneliness gets to some more than others. But why it hangs on isnt always apparent

when read by traditional medical eyes.

In my medical practice and workshops Ive been struck by how many sensitive, empathic

people who I call emotional empaths come to me, lonely, wanting a romantic partner,

yet remaining single for years. Or else theyre in relationships but feel constantly fatigued

and overwhelmed.

The reason isnt simply that there arent enough emotionally available people out

there, nor is their burnoutneurotic. Personally and professionally, Ive discovered

that something more is going on.

Emotional empaths are a species unto themselves. Whereas others may thrive on the togetherness

of being a couple, for empaths like me, too much togetherness can be difficult, may cause

us to bolt. Why?

We tend to intuit and absorb our partners energy, and become overloaded, anxious, or

exhausted when we dont have time to decompress in our own space. Were super-responders;

our sensory experience of relationship is the equivalent of feeling objects with fifty

fingers instead of five.

Energetically sensitive people unknowingly avoid romantic partnership because deep down

theyre afraid of getting engulfed. Or else, they feel engulfed when coupled, a nerve-wracking,

constrictive way to live. If this isnt understood, empaths can stay perpetually lonely;

we want companionship, but, paradoxically, it doesnt feel safe.

For emotional empaths to be at ease in a relationship, the traditional paradigm for coupling must

be redefined. Most of all, this means asserting your personal space needsthe physical and

time limits you set with someone so you dont feel theyre on top of you.

Empaths cant fully experience emotional freedom with another until they do this. Your

space needs can vary with your situation, upbringing, and culture. My ideal distance

to keep in public is at least an arms length.

In doctors waiting rooms Ill pile my purse and folders on the seats beside me to

keep others away. With friends its about half that. With a mate its variable. Sometimes

its rapture being wrapped in his arms; later I may need to be in a room of my own,

shut away.

All of us have an invisible energetic border that sets a comfort level. Identifying and

communicating yours will prevent you from being bled dry by others. Then intimacy can

flourish, even if youve felt suffocated before.

If youre an empath or if the ordinary expectations of coupledom dont jibe with you practice

the following tips.

Tips for empaths to feel at ease in a relationship:

Tip 1. What to say to a potential mate

As youre getting to know someone, share that youre a sensitive person, that you

periodically need quiet time. The right partner will be understanding; the wrong person will

put you down for being overly sensitive, wont respect your need.

Tip 2. Clarify your preferred sleep style

Traditionally, partners sleep in the same bed. However, some empaths never get used

to this, no matter how caring a mate. Nothing personal; they just like their own sleep space.

Speak up about your preferences.

Feeling trapped in bed with someone, not getting a good nights rest, is torture. Energy

fields blend during sleep, which can overstimulate empaths. So, discuss options with your mate.

Because non-empaths may feel lonely sleeping alone, make compromises when possible.

Tip 3. Negotiate your square footage needs

You may be thrilled about your beloved until you live together. Experiment with creative

living conditions so your home isnt a prison. Breathing room is mandatory. Ask yourself,

What space arrangements are optimal?

Having an area to retreat to, even if its a closet? A room divider? Separate bathrooms?

Separate houses? I prefer having my own bedroom/office to retreat to.

Tip 4. Travel wisely

Traveling with someone, you may want to have separate space too. If sharing a room is the

only option, hanging a sheet as a room divider will help. Out of sight may make the

heart grow fonder.

Tip 5. Take regular mini-breaks

Empaths require private downtime to regroup. Even a brief escape prevents emotional overload.

Retreat for five minutes into the bathroom with the door shut. Take a stroll around the

block. Read in a separate room.

In my medical practice, Ive seen this creative approach to relationships save marriages and

make ongoing intimacies feel safe, even for emotional empaths (of all ages) whove been

lonely and havent had a long-term partner before. Once youre able to articulate your

needs, emotional freedom in your relationships is possible.

Crowdfunding - RC Nennox Workshop - wspieram.to - Duration: 6:03.

hello everyone, here's RCTutos.fr

Terenwizja supports this project from the bottom of the heart

Hello, i'm -G- (Tschi) from Austria

Hi, it's RC Nennox. Thank you so much for pushing "play"!

Sit comfortably and watch till the end - it will be interesting

who are we? Two crazy people, that 4 years ago got into RC hobby

my name is Sandra, second part of the team is RC Nennox

what do we do exactly?

we are mostly into trail/scale adventure

to make it simple - radio controlled offroad rigs like Jeep or Land Rover in 1:10 scale

because in this hobby, to us, most important are people

we focus mostly on them

from organizing Warsaw Weekend Meetings

to creating group RC Maniacs from Poland

to contact with RC maniacs from all around the world

travel, taking part in offroad events

collabs with RC parts manufacturers

taking pictures and writing about them

help with choosing first RC and upgrading it

I could go on and on, but this video is not about it

let's get to the point - what will RC Nennox Workshop be?

place for RC maniacs to meet

source of good quality parts - from less to more expensive

RC Maniacs from Poland headquarters

place, where you can sit and (re)build your rig

talk and have good time

we also want to have space there to prepare even better parts reviews

taking pictures and recording videos

pretty much everything that we do now in free time after work

if you'd like to support this project

we have long list of options for you to choose from

depending of the amount you send, you'll get smaller or bigger "prize"

from symbolic "thank you"

to tshirts, mugs, having your logo on our website

or in the videos about creating the Workshop

of course, if we make it happen, you'll be always welcome! :)

THANK YOU in advance and - see you there!

hello everyone, here's RCTutos.fr. we support 100% RCNennox

so do like us, and support the crowdfunding campaign for their RC Workshop project!

Terenwzja also loves offroad rigs

maybe in a slightly bigger scale

but size is not important - passion is what's all about

I met these people in person, who love these small, brave cars

and I believe they deserve support

because I know how much passion cost, how much time, work and effort it takes

many things, but these are the ones Sandra's team has

that's why Terenwizja supports this project from the bottom of the heart

Hello, i'm -G- (Tschi) from Austria

and as Sandra told me about the project she and her partner want to do, I was excited!

They are better known as RC Nennox

and have done so much for the RC Scene in the past

so please help them rising their project, because it's awesome!

Thanks!

VLOG #1 Rubber Duck Debugging - Duration: 1:31.

Hi everyone

last day

I was talking to a friend

on many doubts I had

for a couple of features in a game I'm developing.

As I explained them to him

I was assesing them on my mind

At the end, even though I was asking him for help

I solved it just by talking

If this make sense to you

Is because it is a well known, simple, and effective technique

I'm talking about the Rubber Duck Debugging

When you have a set of problems in your mind

sometimes

we don't se the answer, even if it is infront of us

if you're working by yourself

the rubber ducky makes as a team mate

you can explain what are you trying to do

and the reasons you think isn't working

while you explain, you can analyze the logic on the problem

what often helps finding an answer

now that, if you talk to something that isn't alive

you won't get any response

unless it helds inside the spirit of an ancient pharaon

in my case, I had a substitute doll on my desk

If talking alone is not for you

try with a full flesh friend

or a ghost you can get along with

okay people, that's all for today

don't forget to leave a comment, and tell me

What's your rubber ducky?

remember to subscribe or give a thumbs up to support the channel

And every time you share this video, your console will show less bugs

Se ya!

Indeed, Indeed I Cannot Tell - Henry David Thoreau (Poem narrated) | Jordan Harling Reads - Duration: 0:57.

Indeed indeed, I cannot tell, Though I ponder on it well,

Which were easier to state, All my love or all my hate.

Surely, surely, thou wilt trust me When I say thou dost disgust me.

O, I hate thee with a hate That would fain annihilate;

Yet sometimes against my will, My dear friend, I love thee still.

It were treason to our love, And a sin to God above,

One iota to abate Of a pure impartial hate.

Indeed, Indeed I Cannot Tell - written by Henry David Thoreau.

Narrated by Jordan Harling.
