Filler for bags and dark circles under the eyes

My name is Mariagrazia, I live in Milan and I am involved in events.

My problem was that I had bags and dark circles under my eyes.

In the morning I would get up and look at myself in the mirror

and I would see myself as old.

My look was lifeless and sad,

I could not even talk to people even at work.

It was getting impossible,

I would hide my face with my hair,

putting lots of make up on but with zero results.

Talking with some friends, they recommended me an eye specialist,

with whom I met and who made me feel at ease

and understood my problem right away.

Since I did not want to do any kind of surgery,

he proposed a filler treatment

and what I most appreciated about the doctor was that

he explained exactly what product he would be using on my face

and therefore I convinced myself of doing it.

It was totally pain free, I did not feel anything

and it was wonderful to be able to go back to work with no signs on my face.

Today I look at myself in the mirror

so many sweets

there's so much various things

the is the Screw Chocolate

because Kitakyushu is city of iron manufacturers, they made this chocolate to represent this image

this is my first time that i see it

i lived in Kitakyushu until i turned 20 years old

and because it's sweet released about just one years ago...

i didn't try it yet

let's eat it now

i think they many people still have this old pictures in their minds

recently the sake bar area becomes really popular topics, that tokyo have high quality bars

it's right that there bars are fashionable

but ours in kitakyushu not different

since i was child i always go in front of liquor store

and i saw a lot of red faces men talk happily about that

i asked myself a lot what they are doing , and i wished to become adult so fast

and in kitakyushu we use the kitakyushu dialect

a lot of people think that our dialect is like fighting and scary

but in fact it's really cute words

ah ! the river walk is so nostalgic

i think that the city have many different charms

i didn' have the chance to see all that charm

it's the most city that have charms in Fukuoka prefecture

you will absolutely enjoy

there is a lot people that liked what they saw

they said like they are protagonist in a movie

that's right

this is important thing

and now i want to see video

that i'm really looking for

when i first came a lot of people from Kanto area think that kitakyushu is scary

and that's not true

The power of the people of the earth is strong, and that make us close regardless the distance

and if you do something good even that you are far

kitakyushu is good and pretty city

SLAPPED IN THE FACE! AUDIO & FOLEY | FILMMAKING - Duration: 5:01.

If you think every sound you hear on a movie was recorded on set... I have bad news for you.

Today i want to talk about "foley".

How can i say?!

The art of creating sound.

Because not everything you hear on a movie

was actually recorded on set

there are a few things that..

Like, special effects and sound effetcs

To give a little bit more of...

...weight, and action...

to that scene.

Foley was created in 1920, by Jack Donovan Foley.

And since then, it has been used his Technic in so many movies, and...

basically in very one of them.

You can use different elements to give you...

...specific sounds.

You can record a sound of a... a car.

You can can also record a sound of...

...a key falling on the floor, for a specific scene that

at the moment of shooting, on the camera

or, with the audio of the camera would not be the same.

So, you can use this sound effects to specific scenes just to give a little bit more of action

to give it a little bit more of life

to that scene. So you will have to record

the audio separately

or the sound effect for that

time

or to that specific scene

for exemplo:

Obviously, it sounds real...

But you can add a sound effect

on top of that, that will give more action, more life

and it will sound more like this:

So, it's for that reason why you have to record

sound effects. To give more life

to the scene.

Ok, and in my case. What am i doing...

...or, what kind of sounds i have to record

for my short film!?

Well, depending on what scene i will be recording

With the scrip for the Audio

It will describe if in that scene i will have to record

any extra sound

or sound effect.

So the process starts from creating sound effects of...

keys,

aaah...

...Something being drop on the couch...

and even steps on a carpet.

Because, there will be a scene where i will be walking on the carpet, so

you would not be able to hear the steps

So, i had to record a sound of someone walking on the carpet to emphasize.

And also i had to record the sound of a box being placed on the floor

for the scene where i will be finding a music box.

and that's where the main part of the movie starts.

So, i had to record this sound also, because

with the audio of the camera it wouldn't sound nice

so this way i can give more life to the scene.

And what is the process after recording everything?

It's simple.

After recording the video and the audio...

I take everything that i recorded

like the audio, and i move them to the computer. Same for the video.

I take everything from the camera and move to the computer

and then, starts the process where

i will be giving names to each shot

based on the scrip

So, this way when i am editing, i can

...I will know where each shot goes.

so, i make this video for you, at the same time that i

learn new techinics

Because like i said before, it's new for me.

i had to learn all new Technics and

for those who saw my last video, i had to learn how to

paint the wood

to make it look like it is vintage, very old.

and the same way, i had to learn the art of the foley

winch is the art of creating sound effects for every single scene on the movie.

I will leave some links on the description bellow

if you want to watch more videos

about foley and sound design.

But, in this case, is a video of people who works for

Warner Brothers

and big movie production companies.

I posted a picture on Instagram, because

I was shooting one of the scene of my short film

I had my skates on

and a girl in front of me on the red light

It was green for me. My right to go

And the cars and pedestrian to stop and wait. I was on the

bike path

So she ran in front of me.

I had to stop suddenly, and i fell, and i broke...

didn't brake the lens. But i broke the

side part of the lens. You can see here...

Which it's not a issue, because

I broke mainly the lens hood. And thanks to it

The lens didn't banged on the floor

But, the lens hood broke into 17.000 thousand pieces.

Hello, I am Paolo, I am 40 years old and come from Piacenza.

to resolve my problem.

I therefore decided to be operated with the psychological support of my girlfriend.

The first day I went to the clinic I was welcomed by the doctor and his team,

the nurses and the anesthetist.

I did not feel any kind of pain during the operation or after.

At the end of the surgery I went back to my room where my girlfriend was waiting for me.

I feel like another person and it was exactly what I was expecting.

I did not have any alteration in my look,

it is me, Paolo.

I can look at people in their eyes again with no problems

and for this I have to thank the doctor,

who has changed my life

and I am very happy now.

since i was child i always go in front of liquor store

and i saw a lot of red faces men talk happily about that

i asked myself a lot what they are doing , and i wished to become adult so fast

and in kitakyushu we use the kitakyushu dialect

a lot of people think that our dialect is like fighting and scary

but in fact it's really cute words

ah ! the river walk is so nostalgic

i think that the city have many different charms

i didn' have the chance to see all that charm

it's the most city that have charms in Fukuoka prefecture

you will absolutely enjoy

there is a lot people that liked what they saw

they said like they are protagonist in a movie

that's right

this is important thing

and now i want to see video

that i'm really looking for

when i first came a lot of people from Kanto area think that kitakyushu is scary

and that's not true

The power of the people of the earth is strong, and that make us close regardless the distance

and really create the strategy and create the future

of tax for multi-state and international.

There is no legacy.

This person will be a key part of the leadership team.

They report to the chief operating officer

and they will have a seat at the table.

When the CEO says, "You know what?

We should consider acquiring this business,"

they're gonna say, "Hey, what do you think about that?"

and it's your responsibility as the tax leader to say,

"You know what, here's the options,

here's how it would work,

and here's how it would impact our business."

You know, tax is tax.

The company's large enough where they need a role like this

but it's also small enough that you know what,

you'll be able to do more than tax.

One of the best things about this company is the culture.

As a former HR leader, I can go into a company

and I can almost feel and assess

what the culture is like by looking at the people,

seeing what's happening within that business,

and I can know what the engagement is like.

I was kind of blown away, to be quite honest with you.

I met with three of the business leaders,

three of the key executives, and by the way,

I don't always get that time, so that's number one.

This role's important, and I got plenty of time.

Sat with the leaders, we laughed a lot,

quickly gained rapport, and we had great discussion.

You know, when I left the company,

I actually made a phone call to a recruiter on my team

and I said, "Something was really unique

about this opportunity."

I said, "This team works really hard,"

but one thing that was interesting

is I didn't see the stress.

It was a very healthy culture.

Why is this company able to be so refreshed?

I mean, how can they have a great longstanding,

you know, results-oriented culture,

but still have this refreshed feeling?

Honestly from my view, it's a couple things.

One, it's very aligned leadership.

It's accountability in a good way, right?

It's clear expectations, and it's a foundation of respect.

I believe that is one big factor

that sets apart this company,

and also supports why all the leaders that I spoke to

in that room had been with this company for a long time.

So, culture and fit, absolutely very important.

So what does the ideal person look like?

We'd love you to have a CPA.

A combination of some public accounting background

in industry I think would be ideal.

I think either having led the implementation

and build out a multi-state would be great.

If you've been part of building it out, that would be great.

I think that if you've been part of it and you're like,

"Hey, I wanna lead it now," that would be awesome,

and I think you would be an ideal person.

You've been part of it,

and now you get to create that playbook.

How many total years experience?

It really can range.

Really to have the experience and to be able to operate

at the strategic level that they need,

I would say probably at least eight years.

You may have way more than that,

but ultimately, eight years at least.

What's compensation?

I don't know, depends how good you are.

Realistically, it'll be in the six figures.

It's really gonna depend on your level of experience

and we can talk about that.

As a former HR leader, supporting

a large tax function in my past,

some tax professionals would love to do some other things

just to broaden their experience and have some variety.

This opportunity will have that,

and so you'll be able to do some special projects

and that's the beauty of it.

I'm not saying you're gonna be able to do it all the time,

especially as you build out this but that's the opportunity.

Respect is a foundation,

and you'll be part of a leadership team

and have that culture.
