The Feywild - D&D Lore - Duration: 8:07.
Hello everybody Jordan here, the PH is silent.
I thought we'd shift and do some videos on the various planes of existence.
So starting off with the ones closest to the Prime Material plane let's talk about the Feywild
Also known as the Plane of Faerie, it is a land of soft lights and wonder.
A place of music and death, a realm of everlasting twilight.
It's an enchanted reflection of the world where Arcane energy flows through like streams
of crystal water.
The feywild exists in parallel to the Material Plane, an alternate dimension that occupies
the same cosmological space.
The Landscape of the feywild mirrors the prime material plane, with a few differences.
A muddy river on the prime might be a clear brooke in the feywild.
Generally though a mountain here means a mountain there, and from what I can tell it morphs
and changes occasionally to match the physical world.
Cut down a forest in the Prime Material Plane, there will be a similar change in the Feywild.
It's never a 1 for 1 transition, but because the Feywild exists in tandem to the material world
and it reflects it in some way.
They feywild was created during the formation of Abeir-Toril.
Ancient Primordials created the physical world and the gods took astral essence mixing it
with the tiniest bits of creation to populate the world with mortals.
As the world took shape the primordials found some pieces to vivid and bright and separated
them from the world.
They found other pieces to murky and dark and flung them away as well.
These discarded bits clustered and merged forming echos of the Prime Material Plane,
known as the Feywild and the Shadowfell.
As the gods joined in the act of creation more ripples spread out into the Feywild and
Shadowfell bringing creatures to life in those planes.
This is the 4th edition story to explain the Feywild and the Shadowfell.
The Plane of Faerie was something in older editions, but it was officially called the
Feywild in 4th.
They Feywild is inhabited by sylvan creatures, such as elves, dryads, satyrs, pixies, and sprites.
But please note elves in the feywild are known as the Eladrin
And other mythical creatures that you would think belong there, unicorns for example,
treants, faerie dragons, etc.
There is a darker part of the Feywild that contains creatures of a more malevolent nature.
Hags, blights, goblins, ogres, giants, and their cousins the Fomorians also exist in
the Feywild.
Time and memory are different in the Feywild.
It's possible for a few days to become a few minutes on the Prime Material plane.
Or a few days in the feywild might be a few years back on Faerun.
Adventurers returning from the Feywild might be surprised to learn their year long encounter
only took a week in the Prime Material Plane.
Creatures leaving the Feywild have a chance to forget their time there
and experience are generally fuzzy
unless you are a fey creature
But Fey creature or not your memory is still a bit hazy.
Because time passes differently than it does in the natural world, some areas are at a
stand still.
There are parts of the Feywild basking in eternal summer, or frozen in an endless winter.
There are areas that are always at dawn, and sections that lie in a forever sunset.
The Feywild is perilous to those who do not understand its ways.
You all remember those fairy tales as children, no not the disney sugar coated ones, the real
spooky ones.
Children being eaten by witches, wolves devouring grandmothers, Giants with their golden harps,
best to think of the Feywild like that.
Navigate under the pretext that everything is out to get you in some way.
Don't make deals with strange creatures.
A fey contract has powerful binding magic in it, and even a verbal "can do" could
lead you on a quest that will take years to complete.
Perhaps as recompense for trespassing in a fey kingdom you might be required to milk
all the cows in the world in a single day.
Or be directed to slay seven immortal giants.
Impossible, yet within the logic of the Feywild heroes can be strangely capable.
It's an obvious analogy but I tend to think of the Feywild as Wonderland.
As an outsider nothing makes sense but to the locals Wonderland's obtuse rules are
easy to follow.
Even the doorway to wonderland is exactly how a feywild portal would work.
Chasing a talking rabbit in a suit down a hole that magically takes her to another realm.
The Eladrin are the high elves of the feywild.
They've lived there since the beginning, carved out a few areas for their kingdoms
and know the feywild's dangerous ways.
The Eladrin were a playable race in fourth edition, and there is an option to play
them in the fifth edition in the dungeon master's guide.
They are similar to normal elves with the added ability to "feystep" momentarily
returning to the feywild.
Which in game terms is essentially a short teleport.
In fact I think the ability for 5th edition is known as misty step, which is a 30ft teleport.
Underneath Faerun is the underdark, and underneath the Feywild is the Feydark.
The Feydark is much more colorful than the Underdark.
There's plenty of water and large large multicolored mushrooms.
The Fomorians live there along with their cyclops servants.
They are the largest threat to the Eladrin.
Fomorians were among the most handsome of races, but their greed drove them on a quest
to acquire all the magic of the feywild.They were defeated by a united fey front and in
a bit of poetic justic their bodies were changed to reflect the evil in their hearts becoming
hideously disfigured.
Fomorians can pass on their curse to others using a power called the evil eye.
Cursed in this way a creature is magically twisted and deformed, gaining a glimpse into
the pain and malic that has consumed all Fomorians.
The Archfey are powerful magical creatures that rule sections of the feywild much like
Archdevils rule the Nine Hells.
Warlocks can make pacts with these creatures gaining Fey themed abilities.
The area Archfey inhabit seems to mimic their mood and personality.
It's like a mood ring the size of a football field… that you also live in.
Much of the feywild is divided into seasons, or specific times of day.
There are numerous Archfey courts such as the Summer Fey, the Winter Fey, the Gloaming
Fey, and others.
Tiandra is the Summer Queen and lives in Senaliesse where it is summer year round.
Wherever the long train of her gossamer gown sweeps the floor flowers grow and bloom.
Senaliesse is built atop enormous trees and hidden from casual view by rising mists.
The Prince of Frost is the leader of the Winter Court and lives in
the Fortress of Frozen Tears.
Located in a desolate icy waste, an enteral dark winter.
This was not always the case but when the Prince of Frost's queen died in a Fomorian
battle his heart froze in his chest.
His home soon reflected the cold emptiness in his heart.
Because the Summer Court did not come to their aid fast enough to prevent the Queen's death,
the two don't much care for one another.
There are lots of other places in the Feywild.
Eladrin cities, Fomorian kingdoms, Drow cities in the Feydark.
The Maze of Fathaghn is home to the Dryad Queen and her people.
The Plains of Echoing Thunder are the stomping grounds of several centaur tribes.
If you like the feywild and want more info on it I recommend the 4th edition book
"Heroes of the Feywild."
It has a lot of lore, history, and adventure ideas, even if you're not playing 4th edition.
I really like the Feywild.
I ran an adventure there that lasted almost a year and it was to mess with my players
sense of logic.
As I made the feywild verbally logical but nonsensical.
Kingdoms would pop up overnight due to some Greater Fey's imagination and disappear
after a quest was finished.
They once had to capture sunshine and place it in a King's heart to alter his mood to a
more joyous one.
I had a halloween event with a small village horrified at the arrival of the Great Pumpkin.
My PCs had to dispatch the Great Pumpkin and save the village children who were shape changing
into animals, ghouls, and vegetables.
I'm happy 5th edition decided to keep the Feywild, it makes for some silly fun.

know what the endorphins are and what not and it's not relevant, but but it's proven
that it releases these endorphins that kill cancer cells and it's like have fun and
joy.
Yeah, just those things alone it doesn't have to be this hocus pocus, airy fairy, you
know, magic potions or anything like that, but just laughter, do the things that that
are fun for you can heal

Welcome back to my channel!
Today video is going to be about me putting on false eyelashes
As you can tell, today's make-up is not complete without mascara or false eyelashes
Now I am about to put on my lashes so I thought lets just film it
I do not know about you but for me false lashes are life
Mascara is alrite but it is not enough
Also theres a problem with mascara since I put on so many coats of mascara. Well I like it that way.
I like it super dramatic
However, when doing so, at the end of the day when I remove my make-up. OMG
what a challenge
fake eyelashes are easier since I just need to peel them off
I do not really need an amazing quality pair of fake lashes
For me, nice design and the cheaper the better
cos I just put them on and peel them off, theres no need to be fancy with them really
Anyway, lets start!
so for today's video I am going to use these lashes
so glittery
When you buy those in the market, they are pretty universal for all eyes'shapes. They would probably be longer for your shape
before I use them, I will put them on my eye to measure the length and to know how much should I trim them
Then I will trim the leftover
This is the start and I will trim the end
use the first one as sample to trim the second one. Again heres the start and heres the end
Ill trim the ending
just cut out those unnecessary parts
Now these are perfect for my eyeshapes
Although I like the dramatic look with lots of volume, I still like to make them natural
So ill trim the lash band here, take away the top
It will fit my eyes perfectly.
Its ok not to do this step
Done, throw these away
Those are now ready to go on my eyes
I just zoomed into my eyes, please do not be panic!
Today I got pinkish eyebrows again
Although my long nails can do the trick, I still prefer the tweezers to keep it stable
some people like to curl their lashes then mascara then fake lashes
but for me Ill just put on lashes, curl then mascara to blend them together
Now Ill do some exercises for my lashes before put them on
cos the eyelashes are too straight
Ill just used this lash glue that is available in the Vietnam
blow to tacky
looking down and try the put down motion
from above put it down to the lashline
then, attach the ending to the eyelids
do the same thing to the start
then lift it up to push it to the lashline
Alright now both of them are on
However you can not really tell the difference because they are not curled
Now Ill curl them, I am using this small curler
Can you tell the difference now?
Next step is really up to you but personally, Ill put on some mascara
To blend them together because natural lashes usually grow straight now
so without mascara, the real lashes and false lashes look seperating
Here I am using L'oreal voluminous mascara
Now I am going to zoom again
This happens to me a lot since I am quite clumsy, so if it ever happens to you
just wait fr it to dry then we will see
Now its dry, I am going to use q-tip
just apply some eyeshadow and its set
ok thats it for today

How To Ride Hairpin Turns Like A Pro | GCN Pro Tips - Duration: 4:05.
- Navigating hairpin bends or switchbacks,
is a crucial element when riding in the mountains,
both going up and down.
Here's how.

Now although it's not quite as critical
as when travelling at high speed downhill,
you still need to look up and ahead to get the best,
and the safest, approach to the corner.
Now things to consider include oncoming traffic.
If that is the case, you're gonna need to take
a wide approach and not cut the apex.
If things are clear, once you've looked behind
before changing your line, it may be that you want to cut
the apex and ride up the inside.
But again, you'll have to assess if this is a good option,
as cutting the apex uphill can mean you face
a very steep, if short, gradient.
Taking the wider and longer line around a hairpin
will generally mean you carry far more speed
as the gradient is less here.
So it's really important that you choose
the right option for you.
Do you go harder and out of the saddle, through the apex?
Or generally sit down and spin in a lower gear,
faster and longer.
The decision is yours.
Other factors will often determine the route that you take,
like traffic, as we already mentioned,
and being surrounded by other riders,
like in the Maratona dles Dolomites for example.
But one thing you'll have to consider very seriously
is the cumulative effect of the technique that you choose.
Our advice, to save energy, is to take a far wider route
and maintain your momentum.
But if you're feeling good and want to take
the shorter harder line, go for it.

As with descending in general,
you should be looking up the road ahead,
not down at the road in front of you.
And doing this will give you plenty of time
to shave off enough speed gradually
before you then swing into the bend itself.
Ideally your hand should be on the drops of the bars
as this is the most stable position.
As you approach the bend,
try and look further down the road if you can
to see if it's safe to cut the apex of the bend or not,
as this will determine the line that you take.
And if it's a left-hand bend,
drop your right foot to the six o'clock position,
and if it's a right-hand bend,
drop your left leg to six o'clock.
Also, importantly, look at where you want to go,
and in this instance it'll be the exit point of the hairpin.
Focusing on this will assist you in a far smoother,
cornering experience, believe us.
Ideally all of your braking should be done
before the bend itself, but sometimes,
no matter how experienced you are, you can misjudge a bend,
especially on a particularly tight hairpin,
forcing you to brake through the corner itself.
Now if this happens, don't grab at your brakes in a panic,
make sure your braking is smooth and progressive.
On tight hairpins, choose a line
where you approach the corner wide
before dropping in and clipping the apex.
If it's a blind hairpin and you can't see the road below
or what's approaching, the apex will be the centre of
your side of the road, not the opposite side.
Keep looking up at your exit point,
as this will assist you in taking a smooth line
through the bend, rather than making micro adjustments
all the way through.
And for extra traction through the bend,
push your backside downwards through the saddle,
and your hands downwards on the drops.
So get your hairpin technique dialled and locked in
