More than one year ago from today I decided to quit video games.

They used to be fun for me.

I would come home from school play a game, have supper, then go to work then come home

and play a game afterwards.

I'd go for an hour or two sometimes much later.

I found myself buying these consoles and latest gaming titles but I never really picked them

up, I just lost interest.

It came to a point where I had a lack of motivation to play.

There will always be another level, another update, another dlc, another game, another

console.

there will always be another thing waiting around the corner just wanting to consume

your attention.

It is a system that is designed to fail, you buy a game you get really excited about it

and from that excitement you play it more and more until you eventually beat that game

(if there is an end).

You then buy your second game and it gives you less fulfillment so that makes you want

to go out and play more games and buy more games and just consume more video game content.

I found myself loosing countless hours you in this digital reality and just wasting my

time away.

It's all just computer code, fancy pixels and numbers an a screen and it just fancy

things that mean anything in the real world.

You can sell some of your video game stuff for real life currency but think about it.

Is it really worth your time to do that?

Is it really worth it to you?

So one year ago I decided to stop playing video games, and at the time I didn't have

a strong relationship with God.

During my last year of high school my Nintendo DS broke, and I spent countless hours playing

that game and using that system it did eventually end up breaking and I spent a few more hours

trying to fix it until that eventually failed.

I then went into PC games.

I got a graphics card so the games can look better and that ended up malfunctioning too.

I was then making gaming content, recording video games and sharing that experience.

But that didn't end up working out for me either.

I remember 3 years ago my cabin leader telling me this when I first decided to follow God.

He said something like this.

"If something is taking your time away from God and you're not able to spend time in

his word; because of that one thing.

You need to stop it.

I thought nothing of that and I went on with my life thinking that just because I knew

about Jesus that I'd be okay.

Gaming is only a temporary solution for an underlying issue that can be solved.

I felt like God was messing with my video game stuff just to try and tell me something.

So one year ago today, I made the best decision of my life.

To stop and listen to God.

I wouldn't be where I am today without him.

I don't regret anything in my life.

I wouldn't be where I am today in this current situation if I haven't done these certain

steps.

Sure I've wasted lots of time from playing video games but I turned those bad experiences

into a valuable learning experience for myself.

Something valuable that I also learned is in Philippians 4:6-7 and it says: "6 Don't

worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.

His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

So wherever you are in life or whatever you are doing, or want to do.

Just pray about it that is the most powerful thing that you could ever do.

I did have a relapse in February for about 1 to 2 weeks during that time I was praying

because that is the most powerful thing I could do at the time is just pray and spend

more time in God's word and get to know him more.

Faith is a muscle.

Spend time in God's word,(prayer) & worship.

Watch your faith grow.

pronunciation is understanding syllable stresses. To understand syllable stresses,

you need to know what a syllable is. So what is a syllable? Let's start out with

a simple information quiz. Look at the picture: how many syllables are in each

tracker, the first syllable ends with a vowel A... TRA... and then the next syllable

starts with a C - a consonant - CKER. And then bottle: the first syllable ends with

a vowel, O... BO... and then the next syllable is started with a consonant

T... TLE... You see? I know you do. Sometimes, however, you will have

syllables that end on the consonant. These sometimes happen with voiced

syllables, where you got to turn on this part of your vocal cords. A lot of

consonants where you have to turn on those vocal cords are consonants like: M,

N, the ING sound - ing - then you -of course - have L, R, D...and things like that.

i'll show you some word examples: boulder, stronger, mommy, darker, stranger. Look at

the words one more time. I want you to see how each example ended their first

syllable on a consonant, but then a new consonant started the next syllable. For

instance: darker. DAR and with a consonant R and then KER - that syllable starts

with a consonant again. Stranger: the first syllable ends with the N... Strain...

and then GER - the next syllable - starts with a consonant, understand? Before we

get off of this lesson, I'm going to introduce a few example words that can

be a little confusing at first, because we need to understand the unusual words,

too. So let's put them up on the board: Beautiful...that has five vowels and three

sounds... beau...ti...ful. Baroque - that's a time period in European

history associated with the art world - it's four vowels... two sounds: Ba...Roque. And

then: conceive... four vowels... two sounds. Con Ceive. This should help you

understand how to say more of the words you encounter every day, and I want you

to see these rules and pay attention to them, so when you see a new word, you can

pronounce it with greater accuracy. Obviously, you're not going to get it

right all the time if these words are new to you, but, as you learn the rules,

you can say new words that you've never seen before and pronounce them right...

most of the time. So I'm going to throw up the words we saw at the very

beginning of the lesson, and see if you've done any differently. Look at

these words: blind, banana, never, mommy, conceive. How many syllables are in each

word? So blind: one syllable. Banana: three syllables... ba-na-na. Never: two syllables...ne-ver.

Mommy: two syllables... mom-mee. Conceive: two

syllables... con-ceive. So now that you have some understanding of syllables, you can

start pronouncing words that you might have been unable to before. If you liked

i'm here today to tell you about Modders and Hackers. how different they are. you do not realize this and

assume that they are same. they are NOT same. not even same with what tools they use or employ in GTAO.

i know this because i met a good friend who was great Modder on GTAO.

i know this might not be of importance to you. but it should be. because you are only company that doesn't even experienced things

a player has experienced in GTAO. like really seen it to happen.

Modders, they are the lifeline of every player match server has. you see, if we are trapped with Hacker and can't leave a server

because of the Hacker. a Modder comes into the Server and wages war against Hacker who came to ruin player's experiences.

Modder removes the lock that was placed on the players which prevented them to leave the server or even to restart GTAO. doing this allows them to leave so that

Modder will deal with the Hacker himself/herself. Modders are the Guardians of Players, they are basically the Sentinels that protect GTA communities

Hacker communities has same thing with Modder communities: they don't tolerate anybody misusing their powers to grief, harm GTA communities.

they have strict policy regarding that. the Hackers and Modders dispatch their units

to shut down rogue Modders/Hackers who would abuse their powers on the community.

Hackers, they use tools to hack the game by changing game code to suit them. they usually do it in online multiplayer. mostly because they suck at it. so they want to win.

it sometimes causes unseen reactions by the game, for example, the AI cars started to kill players without warning.

it can be quite funny. but they don't know how much or how far it can cause the community to the situation.

so my hope is that you will allow OPENIV a tool that allows them to modify their single player game for roleplay purposes and enhance their fun offline.

because if you can't, you are gonna lose BILLIONS of money that would be used to fund next games. you don't realize is that Modding has incentives that nets

Bethesda a total of 30-80 BILLIONS alone from Modding game by Skyrim Community. they allowed items that could be added to the game which led to

to Skyrim remastered game edition that allows mods to be added for fun. basically, the modding is future of gaming. people buy lots of mods for their favorite games. they range from $60 to more.

other game companies are following it. don't be the company that dies because you missed the chance to join the line of companies that allows modding. do your RESEARCH ON MODDING.

I remember I vlogged some when I was in Japan a couple years back and my mom...

would tell me that I touched my hair too much, so, I'm going to try my best to make it look how I want it to look

which is..always..flat..which is fine

that's okay, whatever, it's fine

and then just leave it. I'll try my best not to touch it, okay?

So, just to get started, there are so many people on youtube that I really respect as content creators

and I kinda don't want to put myself [on their level] and pretend that I'm on the same level as them because I'm

very much not. But, I would some day like to be a part of this community so,

I've been here for a very long time, just creeping on lots of people's videos and wishing that I could, you know,

create content that I think is worthy of standing on this platform that the Internet has given so many people around the world

and youtube has been a place where I've been able to explore myself...

in a non-creepy way [sigh]

and I've been able to find friends - not necessarily friends in the conventional sense, but friends in the sense of people who

love the same things and find value in the same things and I really appreciate that.

And the sense of humor of the Internet/youtube in general is, by far, my favorite thing in the world!

I love the sarcastic, kind of dry, humor that a lot of the Internet holds.

so, yeah, I've wanted to kind of become a part of this community rather than just kind of sitting in the background

I feel like my channel is just going to be a lot of stuff like this, where I'm just sitting in front of the camera and talking

and probably looking up at the damn screen like I keep doing, I'm sorry.

But yeah, it's probably just going to be a lot of sitting in front of the camera and sharing my thoughts

on the world, and on what I think about people, and what I think about school,

experiences that I go through or experiences that other people I know go through - I'll probably talk about stories with that.

I also have 3 amazing roommates - one of them actually just moved out and we're getting a new one so

I have TWO amazing roommates, and we think we're hilarious.

I don't know if we're actually hilarious.. so expect some of them to show up once in a while here

My brother actually apparently is just starting a youtube channel. I think he does music on it?

I should probably check that out..I'm a terrible sister

But he expressed an interest in wanting to make videos together as well, so that would be fun.

and then uploading them here as a video blog. I really enjoy that idea because videos are something that are...

I don't know...there's something different about them compared to writing because writing,

yes, you're writing out your thoughts but there's only so much that you can put into words.

With a camera, you're still putting things into words, but you also have your facial expression,

you have what your appearance looks like at the time

you have the environment around you

you have your tone of voice.

It's very important for communicating exactly how I feel

so..

aww there's a cute little pill-bug on the ground out there.

So yeah. I think it's going to be really cool and I don't really expect anything besides myself just enjoying the process

of creating here on youtube, and if all else fails, I'm just another weirdo making videos

and sticking them on the Internet at the same time as I watch and admire the other people that are here already
