Ward: Look at Scorecards, I Was Pretty Dominant After Round 2

IBF, WBA, WBO light heavyweight champion Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) admits last years contest with Sergey Kovalev was very competitive, but feels there is absolutely no controversy with the final result.

Last November, Ward won a twelve round unanimous decision over Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs) to capture the three light heavyweight titles at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

All three of the official judges had it scored the same, with Ward winning the contest by a single point, 114-113.

There was a rematch clause, with the second fight scheduled to take place on June 17th from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The final result generated instant debate, with many observers believing Kovalev had done enough to retain his unified crown.

Ward was knocked down in the second round, but the Olympic gold medalist says that particular round, and the knockdown, is exactly what woke him up in the contest - and he says the official scorecards prove his point.

Past that, I think if you look at the scorecards its pretty dominant after that, Ward said. He won some rounds for sure. Its a 12-round fight, hes going to get his. But I think it was pretty consistent and pretty dominant.

That doesnt mean that its a given going into this fight. Hes going to make adjustments and I assume hes going to be better and I definitely have to be better and will be better..

Ward appears to be focused on proving a point in the second fight, by not just picking up another win but securing that victory in impressive fashion. He wants to make a big statement in the rematch.

Its going to be a lot more flair, its going to be a lot more fun, Ward said. Im fixing to put on a show and its as simple as that.

Ive gotten back to just enjoying what I do. Just having fun and doing what I want to do..

Practice 1 : Practice and learn simple and intricate mehendi elements with me - Duration: 30:16.

Today's video neither teach anything nor share any technique but actually its a practice video

i experience that many people are actually facing problem because they

dont know how to practice henna art properly

many people trying full fledge henna designs and when they fail to achieve good result

they feel dishearten and disappointed

thats why i thought i should create videos where i am practicing

with me all of you can practice together

this video is for beginner and thats why i am practicing very basic elements in this video

i would suggest that please practice simple and basic elements first , don't practice full designs

this way you can learn how to layered all elements

If you all want to practice with me then grab paper or acrylic board and cone, and lets start

If you all are ready with cone and paper and then lets start

this video will play at normal speed i won't fas forward it

i am recording it at real time

So all of you understand that when we practice we don't rush with our drawing

This types of lines are called line variation

we use such line variation everywhere in our design

thats why whenever we will practice we will use such line variations too

first of all we will practice frills because its very common element

same time i felt many people are struggling with this basic element

i have done very tiny frills if you want you can do little bigger in height

remember one thing you can crate frills that are big in height

done increase in width because its completely different element

we call it round petal

please practice with slow speed

so our hand get used to perfect shape and element

many people were asking to sow them the right way to hold cone

i have special video on that particular topic you can watch that video link is in description box

for intricate work we use tiny frill but for practice you can use bigger frills

we will use these bigger frills in few designs

please don't afraid if you cannot match with my speed

because i have practice of many years

i am trying to be slow as much as i can but then it would increase the length of my video

actually you can pause video and then complete your element

now we will draw round petal on this frill element

All these are basic elements that we will use in borders and designs

i am using all this elements because this is our first video in practice with me series

so i wish that everyone practice enough and improve their henna art

you will for sure improve if you practice right way in right direction

as i said we will use line variation and thats why we will give outline to all borders

its very difficult for me to talk while working

but i am trying so my videos could be helpful to all of you

i always try to come up with something new that could be helpful to al of you

thats why i felt that due to lack of good practice many of you are facing problem

again i have drawn frill because i want the maximum practice you give to this element

because it is very commonly used element

now this is one layer swirl

i am laying all elements in border layout

because this video is for beginners

if beginners do not have command on small basic elelemtns then they will face

problem attempting big designs and motifs

I hope al of you are practicing with me

If you all are wishing to improve your work

then all of you will practice with me, i know

Without enough practice its impossible to improve in anything

as i said in my last video don't go back but come back

we are draping lines for our checks

go as slow as possible

our line should be perfect

If you lines are breaking

check whether your henna paste is fresh or not

then second step would be check your speed and pressure

your lines can break If your speed and pressure is not in proportion.

So check with factor is affecting the breaks of your lines

so correct that factor to get perfect lines

we will draw simple dots in this checks

dots are also very important element

some one actually asked me how to draw dots so i am showing this in this corner

here we will keep pressure constant and then will draw dots

that way we will have equal dots all the time

first concentrate on element don't concentrate on speed

once you have enough practice speed will come automatically

if my video is running ahead then paps the video and complete your checks nicely

and then come back and continue your practice

These are very popular check

one more thing if your hand is aching or shaking while practicing it could be due to thick henna paste

so check mehendi paste's consistency

again we will draw frills here

always concrete to get symmetrical frill those are equal in heigh and look

where you are turning in your frill that turn should be perfect

once you get hold on frill's movement it will be easier for you to attempt

now when we have practiced dots then we will draw dot paisleys here

i have already taught them how to draw them even though i am showing you here one more time

first we will draw dot then we will drees pressure an then we will give swirl in the end

when we start creating dot our pressure on cone is high and speed is zero

when we start drawing curve pressure is very low and minimum speed

samw way we will draw them here

once you have enough practice of dots and dot leaves then this paisleys are very easy

dot paisleys and dot leaves are basically same only their movement is different

for leaves movement is straight

for paisleys our movement is curve

we will give outline to this , we will give online to all important elements

again here i am drawing frills

as you can see i am using this element very frequently

because its very commonly used elements

usually i avoids over using frills

because then it gives flowery look to design

more you practice frill more you can attempt different elements

we will draw thick line on top of this frill

you main concentration should be clear work

if you fill neatness of your work have been compromised then slow down

what should we draw now? ok lets draw this one

its like our flower petal

or its like improvised frill element

oh this is M

recently we practiced alphabet so we have to refer to that

oh this is not M but its actually W

It looks beautiful when it has thick line on top of it

as you can see when i am drawing thick line my speed is very slow and pressure is high

whatever space has left out fill them like this

we will give thin outline to this , for our line variation

if line is breaking then let it be, complete your line and then comeback and correct it

very simple element i am drawing here

i might have taught it in some filler element video

this is big thick swirl surrounded by faint frills

when i say faint element so to draw that i use minimum pressure

first come normal line with normal pressure

if i am drawing same element faint then pressure is very low and cone touches the surface

we draw faint elements when we are looking for contrast

same element we get in thick lines too

one element three shades only change of pressure

to give emphasis to thick swirl we are using faint swirl here as contrast

when you use line variation then i will create differentiation between

filler elements and main big elements

If same element i draw without line variation and then it won't look that beautiful

i am using my cone as pencil or bullpen

because my pressure on cone is very law and speed is fast

as you can see border is in normal line, swirls is in thick line and swirl are in faint line

i am using line variation for border too

you might have seen me using these three layer lines

so hows your practice going on ?

don't feel dishearten if you don't get desired clarity. slow down perfect the element and then move ahead

i want to end this video here

but before going i want to leave you all with one challenging element

actually its not that hard but i have seen my students struggling with this element

so you have enough one week time to practice this element

and that is tear drops

as i said in one of my video , tear drop you can draw either with

simple technique or with gulf technique

i thought tear drops are very easy to draw but when my students were struggling

i thought i should attempt them again

this i drew with normal technique and same thing with gulf technique

you an draw it with pressure and speed technique

its ver important to leave margin whenever you draw element with gulf technique

whenever you practice teardrops please practice layering them on top of one another

Spirituality is a much used and much misunderstood term.

Unfortunately it seems to instantly cause eye-rolling and alienates a large proportion

of the population by its� mere utterance.

Personally I�d like to see the term used less, but if we are going to continue with

it perhaps a bit of clarification is in order.

So here�s 5 things you ought to know about �Spirituality�:

:: Spirituality refers to human perception that is beyond the 5 senses and physicality

In the west tend to think of spirits either as ghosts, or more likely in the UK at least,

as �delicious� alcoholic beverages.

So when someone talks of spirituality we tend to think them either mad or drunk!

But we�re not always nutters or alchies, and whilst there are certain things in the

spiritual sphere that are quite rightly viewed with a degree of skepticism, one�s spiritual

nature is primarily a question of perceptivity.

Currently, we use our five senses to help us perceive the world around us.

These senses are fundamentally flawed but we trust them implicitly.

And yet, our eyes don�t �see� and our ears don�t �hear� � they just receptors

and the brain makes �sense� of the incoming information in the best interests of our survival.

What reality is, therefore, is highly debatable and merely a matter of perception.

The �Spiritual� is undetectable through our traditional five senses, but human beings

are equipped with the means to experience a dimension beyond the physical.

That means beyond the five senses,beyond elements, beyond atoms, beyond the electromagnetic spectrum,

beyond thought.

Deep seated in all of us there is an innate knowledge that this is true and traditionally

religions have been deemed the means to experience that dimension.

However�

:: Spirituality has very little to do with religion

People have long confused religion and religious practices with spirituality.

Just because one is religious, does not make one spiritual.

Whilst religions do claim to guide their adherents on a spiritual path, one can be deeply religious

without being remotely spiritual.

Religion is a social, societal construct and whilst I�ll save my Marxist views on organised

religion for another post, I would argue that the major role of religion is social cohesion

not spiritual welfare.

I am NOT saying that anyone who practices religion has no spiritual side- we all do,

but the spiritual is that which exists outside the perception of the five senses and indeed

physicality in general � and religions (including beliefs) are still firmly rooted in the corporeal

existence.

Religions are educational institutions promoting adherence to certain moral norms.

Spirituality is not concerned with morality, morality is a human construct.

Religion�s best use in a spiritual sense is a philosophical one, enabling us to recognize

that there is more to us than body and mind.

Religion has all but lost the esoteric knowledge it once had, and has been marginalized in

its educative role by the dominance of Science.

However�

:: Science has now endorsed aspects of �Spirituality�

It is a shame that our �rational� scientific mindset rarely wishes to even search for things

beyond the physical, other than academic theoretical scientists in the mold of Big Bang Theory�s

Sheldon Cooper.

Science, like everything else in our world, is economically driven.

Funding is given only to things with profitable applications or the promise of future profit,

and profit can only do things in this physical realm- so research on detecting �spiritual

forces� is always likely to suffer.

Quantum physics and the scarcely comprehensible string theory and quantum mechanics are now

proving/have proved that all existence is one energy.

At a sub-atomic level particles behave very differently to the physical laws we�re accustomed

to.

Put simply, which will have to do as I am quite simple, all things can be, and are,

everywhere in the universe at the same time � until some level of awareness pays attention

to them, at which point they become fixed.

This was the subject of the infamous Schrodinger�s Cat Experiment.

Whilst sub-atomic particles still fall within the realms of physicality, the incomprehensible

forces and energies that govern them do not necessarily, and we cannot experience the

sub-atomic using our limited senses � in fact we can�t even understand it abstractly

using our thoughts � as Richard Feynman succinctly put it in 1967: �Nobody understands

Quantum Theory.� This could apply equally to spirituality,

as even sages, yogis and buddhas say that enlightenment is not something you can get,

but something that you are�cryptic buggers.

:: Spirituality is used as an umbrella term for many things

Spirituality � Relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material

or physical things . Modern spirituality is centered on the �deepest

values and meanings by which people live.� It embraces the idea of an ultimate or an

alleged immaterial reality.

It envisions an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his/her being.

These are the definitions provided by the ever reliable(!)

Wikipedia and Oxford Dictionary respectively, but having attended my first ever Mind, Body

and Spirit Festival- there really is no end to the number of things that get labelled

as �spiritual�.

I still remain cynical about a good deal of things I saw at that festival, but that doesn�t

mean that there isn�t something spiritual going on for the people who adhere to it.

With no means of objectively measuring someone�s �spiritualness�- who are we to say?

That means that both religious followers and scientists can be highly spiritual people,

though I think if you look at the pursuits and actions of both those parties- they are

in the minority.

:: It�s not just for hippies

Whilst I wouldn�t describe myself as a hippie, I know some would, particularly if they catch

me doing yoga in my Aladdin pants.

But I wouldn�t describe myself as spiritual either.

I definitely have an interest in it, but I like 95 per cent of the population, am still

deeply ingrained in the physical world.

I have attachments, compulsions, ideas and philosophies.

I have ambitions and wants and needs.

I�m not exactly sure what they are anymore, but despite having faith that I have found

a few paths that could lead me to experiencing a deeper dimension I haven�t embraced them,

because abandoning normal human existence in search of the spiritual could ultimately

be a waste of life.

But ask any serious meditator and they will tell you there is something to nurturing that

inner sense of awareness, of consciousness and that it brings about huge benefits within

our human existence, and the fact that meditation, mindfulness and �yoga� has entered the

mainstream consciousness proves that its not just for hippies.

I spent my younger years as a vehement atheist resentful of religion for �duping� people

and cynical of the supernatural and anything that science couldn�t explain.

I now realize that what I do not know, I do not know; and without experiencing something

we cannot write off the possibility.

But now I�m into �spiritual� stuff I realize that I don�t �know� any of my

rants and musings to be true either.

I haven�t experienced it, it�s all just a philosophical exercise.

But through certain yogic practices, and cultivating that inner perception it may just be possible

to make spirituality

a reality.

And I think that the reason why Pakeha people mispronounce the Māori language is because they totally disrespect us, otherwise they would pronounce it correctly, if they respected us they would. And after what six, seven generations, we still can't get that respect that's a real problem.

Science speculates there was a time with great warmth and a time of great cold

The earth that existed in the beginning to earth that is know vastly different

Also fact densely populated cites with minimal plant life and abundance of asphalt are warmer

Could narrative be true could humans have no influence or simply existing will add heat?

Again narrative misleading true not enough statistical evidence to disprove cycle theory

Like wise those who use cycle theory do not have enough statistical evidence to prove

it

If you believe body heat or humans simply existing can cause global warming then narratively

speaking you are admitting to human effect on climate change

This narrative not just misleading but not thought out

There is yet another ideology that is not wildly spoken of and is key reason to claim

This is the main reason behind many individuals denial of climate change

No the reason to discredit climate change is based on greed and refusal to give up the

financial hold This mind set is not a narrative but an ideology

And as such can you blame them would you give up all your wealth to help your neighbor

Ultimately US pulling from Paris agreement will not stop Clean Energy may slow it but

not stop it Will put strain on future global negotiations

but will not kill them America has strong global economic influence even when economy

is weak Strong Military influence

Pulling from Paris agreement not a win for the right nor the sign of the apocalypses

many on the left see it as No simply a bad decision from a president

who wishes to do what few presidents have done before him that is keep promises made

during campaign

And here we are 176/7 years later and Pakeha people still can't pronounce our names.

You know our country was built on this myth that we are this egalitarian ideal and sure maybe if you are in New Zealand you're exposed to the same opportunities but somehow it doesn't end up that way.

A cornerstone of Pakeha national identity is the notion that our natives were treated so much better than indigenous peoples elsewhere and of course it doesn't accord with the reality.

This was really put into the forefront for me in 2006 when I travelled through the outback of Australia for two months making a tv show. And we stayed on a cattle farm where the guy goes, come down, look at ma cells mate, we go down there and he goes these are the cells I keep my Aborigine in mate, and he goes ah look at your face, don't worry, I haven't used them since '82. You know and I'm going what, you know '82 was like yesterday mate.

Today, if you would argue, or if you would continue to sustain the idea that New Zealand has the greatest race relations in the world or that there haven't been problems, I think that that kind of myth has been largely put to bed.

And I think that the reason why Pakeha people mispronounce the Māori language is because they totally disrespect us, otherwise they would pronounce it correctly, if they respected us they would. And after what six, seven generations, we still can't get that respect that's a real problem.
