How to add image, header, and footer in PDF | PHP FPDF Tutorial #3 - Duration: 4:31.

welcome to the third chapter of FPDF tutorial series.

in this chapter, i'm about to explain how to put an image in pdf.

and how to make a header and footer which will be repeated in every pages.

i will start from this improved code from previous tutorial with addition of some dummy data.

now i'm about to add watermark which is a semitransparent image placed in background.

first, make sure you have a large, semi-transparent image.

it have to be a low-contrast image, so it won't reduce the visibility of the content.

to put image into pdf, we will use FPDF Image method with following parameters.

images in pdf is placed by absolute coordinate from upper-left corner.

and it won't interfere with cells placement.

in the case of watermark, we put the image at upper-left margin.

and then we need to set the width to fit paper boundaries.

now we are about to add header and footer.

in order to add header and footer,

we need to extend the FPDF class and add Header and Footer method.

we put the header content inside Header, and footer inside Footer.

header and footer can consist of cells, text and images.

and it will be repeated on each pages.

header will be rendered at the beginning of pages, and footer at the end of page.

here, i will use alternative, shorter way to make dummy cells.

for the notice, any image in either header and footer can be positioned on any part of the page.

because images is positioned by absolute coordinate from page's upper-left corner.

now let's add footer.

as i said before, footer is rendered after the end of page.

which means it will be positioned after last cell in the page.

in order to place the footer at absolute bottom of the page,

we need to use set Y method and set the parameter to minus 15.

this means the content of footer will be placed 15 millimeter

from bottom of the Y or vertical axis.

PageNo method will return integer of current page number.

always remember, in header and footer, we use $this variable.

in order to add total page number, we need to use AliasNbPages.

this method is to define a string alias for total number of pages.

it will substitued as the document is closed.

and replace the defined string within document with total page numbers.

in this example i used "pages" enclosed in curly braces as an alias.

and always put AliasNbPages between object definition and addpage method.

this concludes this chapter of tutorial.

thank you for watching.

see you in the next chapter. Like & Subscribe for more tutorials.

What the Treaty means to me - Duration: 3:36.

They did arrive in our area on the borderlines but they never quite made it, quite to where we were and so we didn't really receive the message as to what the Treaty was about and I guess that's the reason we didn't sign the Treaty at all.

When I think of the Treaty of Waitangi I think of the wharenui and the treaty being the poutokomanawa - being the strongest foundation of our whare or our nation.

I think we see the Treaty definitely as a founding document of New Zealand and so for us as a church we see it as our founding document for us as well. And so we try to base our corporate life, our life together on the on the Treaty and try our best to sort of work out how to outwork that now.

How do you feel 170 years ago, they burn your house down, they kill your tipuna down there, it puts you right back.

My rights under the Treaty as a Māori woman being from Ngati Maniapoto and Ngati Paoa is that I just have an ability, an opportunity to speak my language, to live in a country where my culture is valued.

In the time that I was growing up, the Pakeha in New Zealand didn't want to know about the Treaty and didn't want to know anything about the Māori Pakeha relationship except what they could see and what they wished to see.

We see ourselves I suppose a little bit like the midwives of the Treaty originally so you know the anchor missionaries were there, operating as the midwives, operating as the go betweens you know doing the translation, bringing the people together.

So we want the Crown to come through raging fire, smoke, feeling angry ...

I was living this life within New Zealand but always aware that whenever I went home the old people were still always talking about the Treaty.

My job really just to light the fire and then I don't have to tell the Tuhoe people how to do it, so they show it, emotion, feeling, anger...

When I went to drama school in 1990 and it was the sesqui of the Treaty of Waitangi suddenly this wonderful institution I was involved with Toi Whakaari were going we have to honour the Treaty and so all our Māori students must be allowed to exist within this institution in a Māori context.

What was happening was that I was living in in two worlds, one world was a world which I really wanted to succeed in which was the Pakeha world and at the same time I would then go home to Waituhi which was my home village and be aware that actually the people that I came from had a long history of resistance to Pakeha.

When I visited Ratana a couple of years ago, it was interesting the Ratana folks sort of said to me, somebody sort of said to me, well when you know, when are you fullas gonna start taking some spiritual responsibility for the Treaty that you were part of, which I thought was a really good call actually.

And they went Katie, you're Māori from, aren't you, yes, don't know anything.

So if they talk about Tama Iti they'll bring the, you know they don't actually tell the story, they see me with my fat puku with my gun and my colonial hat there and then people will see that. Some people like it but a lot of people, that's not me. It's theatre, it's Shakespeare.

Multi-cultural New Zealand - Duration: 3:19.

For me, gender's hard but actually race is much harder, much harder. I don't, I don't mind being a woman but actually being Chinese has been a problem.

I feel very comfortable living in a country which is a country of migrants.

So New Zealand is no longer white and it's probably not going to be so white for so long.

And it's interesting where I live the demographics changed in the last five years. It's gone from a relatively typical Auckland, South Pacific suburb to now my new neighbours have moved in, there is a lot of Chinese, Koreans, totally different cultures. How, what's their relationship with Māoridom going to be.

And new people are going to arrive and we should welcome them here. But what you don't want is that, the policies which bring in some people rather than other people or lots of people to one place rather than another place, change the country in a way which is unfair to the people who are already there.

And if you say what would you say to a young European kid who doesn't have any access to, to Māoridom, what would you say to those young first generation Korean kids that are coming over. Where, where do they get that, that thing and what's their relationship with it gonna be.

So if someone comes from a different place and space than yourself, you need to be welcoming and open to listen to their story, understand their beginnings and be with them for their future.

Because they have already got a difficult relationship and a way with, with European and then to, and New Zealand in general and then once they get deeper into that, maybe they'll actually be better New Zealanders.

I believe in the United Nations declarations on human rights and that's why I love living in this country, that all are born equal, all are due equal respect and dignity regardless of characteristics they can't help, like gender or race.

And the first people where fairness applies is Māori. But it's not only there, it's actually the, the cultures and the belief and the, the rights of the people who were there, have to be preserved as the new people come in and they can be.

With immigration New Zealand has changed massively over time and Māori have become a smaller and smaller part of New Zealand over a very long period of time.

I feel very welcome among Māori people. I've been invited in several maraes the, the Māori people appreciate indigenous communities and so for them as an African I don't need to get rid of my Africanness for them to belong.

And this has the risk of isolating Māoridom, a risk of isolating tangata whenua which I think we must hang onto because there is the DNA of New Zealand.

I have had no problems at all as an African among Māori communities, I feel more welcome there and I feel like their spirituality connects with my spirituality as an African, where the physical and the spiritual are connected. so we can speak the same language and we can understand one another.

I think it is time for us to have a national conversation that builds on the Treaty of Waitangi, that gives us a new sense of what it means to be in New Zealand where it's, still embodies that sense of history but also that sense of the future, where it is going to be a very different place but the values can still be very consistent.

How to use pen to make circles on Scratch - Duration: 3:05.

So I'm going to make a tutorial on how to make a CIRCLE.

using pen

Okay so first you need to get rid of [hide] the sprite so let's just hide it.

Oh this isn't how you hide it

How do you hide it

And then you need to make something happen when you click the green flag

And then make a new block

Because it has this fun function called run without screen refresh

So let's call this new block, um, "make a fun circle at"

"with its centre at"

"x: ... y: ..."

And then we need to get its radius as well.

There we go.

Then we can just see if it can run and then

So to make a circle you need a variable

So let's call this variable "happy variable" [yes a very creative name]

Oh actually I should -- there's really no other good name I could put for this variable

And this set to zero

And then I'm going to make it repeat 36 times

And each time it's going to increment the happy variable by ten

Then we have this go to block

Oh I should probably also add this

Where it starts somewhere before it puts its pen down otherwise we [will] get random lines everywhere.

There we go.

Um

Then I THINK

I'm not really sure I kind of forgot how to make circles

I think you need to use this magical thing called sine

for the happy variable

And then multiply it by the radius

And do the same for the y

but this time use cosine.

(or however it's pronounced)

I think everything should be working.

Yay! :D

Actually, :O

I think I should probably close the circle.

And to do that,

One can do this

That way it closes the circle

Yay!

That's it

And you can actually make this like 360

And it'll draw more exact

...circle.

Or it can make this a very...

POLYGON-like

By the way this is how you can make polygons by the way; you can make a triangle

Just make sure these two numbers multiply out to 360.

So this should make a triangle.

I think I could actually turn this into a polygon block.

'Cause circles are just apeirogons, kind of.

Whatever they are.

I'm just going to make -- I'm going to...

to stop the video now.

...I guess.

Passion and determination - women with grit - Duration: 3:48.

When you sit there at the table, if the kids turn around and moan because of what you know, you know it's important that they know that this just hasn't appeared, that someone's done this, someone's gone to, taken their own journey to get to this point.

I think the petition sort of is one of these indicators isn't it, of where we've come from and it can tell a lot to young people today about what has gone on in the past to have achieved what we have achieved already and to also sort of say, you know, the journey continues, you know, we will continue changing things and challenging things and having sucesses and failures.

Passion combined with determination and those women had grit. You know it may not have been popular at the time and sometimes movements are not and sometimes it takes great courage but passion combined with determination, never give up, it's a great message.

But what we do want them to know is, hey, there's something that I might have to give back in this equation because I need to recognise that this hasn't just come from nowhere, and that moment that your baby, that your child says, you know, as you are putting them down to bed goes 'Māmā he pukumahi koe' Mum you're a hard worker

he nui wāu mahi mā, mā mātou, you do a lot for us. You think ok all those other meals, you know, it's worth it.

It was only in my grandmother's time that the vote was got. Now admittedly I'm now 75 but that's not so long ago and it's within the living memory of myself and my family including my granddaughters.

There are lots of women out there that don't think there is a problem, there are lots of men out there that don't see or think that there is a problem. What I want to be able to do is raise the issues into normal conversations that we are having around parliament, around schools, around communities and around the kitchen table so we actually say there are still issues and we need to address them.

I think there are really important lessons going on for young people today to sort of think about how people would've organised themselves in the past and how that can translate into their lives, it's great.

Lots of people around the world don't want to be in the countries that they currently live in and they are screaming to try and get to another country to have a lifestyle that they can at least raise their children and feel safe in. We have that country but we need to make sure that it's even better for anyone that wants to be here.

I think we keep having the right to build heritage for the future, that's what I hope the current generations do, it's certainly what my generation did and I see no reason why it would ever stop.

We have to get young people engaged in what are the real issues, how do we build communities of purpose, how do we develop an environment that our children and our children's children have the capacity to enjoy and actually to embrace.

So that's the biggest challenge to me going forward and we are very dependent on our young people, our young women, to realise that the history that lies behind them is what gives them the strength to actually do something about it.

A gift exchange - a tapu alliance - Duration: 2:20.

I think that the Treaty has to be regarded as Lord Cooke said, as New Zealand's founding document.

It therefore has enormous constitutional significance because the moral authority of the government depends on it.

What did that agreement mean, you know what did the crown sign up to, what did the Rangatira sign up to and it was pretty late in the process when that question formally got asked.

And so when you look at it that way, it has to have a big part to play in New Zealand's constitutional arrangements and it does.

Though it's really important I think for us New Zealanders to get a grasp on the significance of that original understanding of 1840.

If you read the treaty in Māori it's a gift exchange, you know there's gifts that pass backwards and forwards,

the term tuku which is the term you use when in in chiefly gift exchange that's there in just about every clause of the treaty.

This is a public thing and its much more than a legal arrangement it is all about good faith, its all about a constitutional position, much of which is not found in the law.

It's probably true that Hobson really knew that he, he didn't have the power to control the whole of the country, he didn't have the resources.

So I mean he was prepared from his instructions to give Māori that acknowledgement that they would continue to run their own affairs but that he would set up a government which they agreed to, to do something about controlling settlers coming in.

And so you know, the Rangatira basically tuku to the queen kāwanatanga, the queen tukus to them,

the rights you know 'ngā tikanga rite tahi' actually which is exactly the same or exactly equal tikanga as those of her people of England. So there's a gift exchange that happens and as a result of that, an alliance, a tapu alliance is formed.

A pre-condition to the Treaty - Duration: 1:37.

The whakaminenga or the confederation that was established in He Whakaputanga was an effort to bring iwi and hapu together, in what I call a relationship of independence and interdependence, so they would retain their own mana but work interdependently to make joint decisions on, on matters of common interest.

Once they formed te whakaminenga, then they said, ko te kingitanga mana i te whenua and they used the two notions of sovereignty called te kingitanga, the sovereignty of the king cos they didn't know that in England the sovereign had all the mana.

I think it's important to see He Whakaputanga as, as in a sense a precondition to the Treaty because you can only treat, you can only enter into a treaty relationship if you have the political and constitutional and independent capacity to do so.

Then they expressed it in a beautiful Māori term, they said, ko mātou te mana i te whenua and what that says is we can speak because we have the mana that comes from the land to us, not mana o te whenua. They are not saying we have the mana over the land, we have the mana simply because the land is in us and when we speak, we are saying, our country, our whenua rangatira indeed is free.

Let's Play GOOKA 2: the Mystery of Janatris (+StreamChat) |11| - We're Done Lockpicking {EN} - Duration: 10:02.

StreamChat Fuzimi: The Mystery of Janatris in this game is how does the physics work. My response: What exactly do you mean?

... I mean except the floating house at the glux cutscene.

Did they actually betatest this game properly?

The path there leads to the stupid temple, the path here leads to the stupid house.

Let's compare this to another light RPG (what this game is trying to be) - Dungeon Siege 1.

Dungeon Siege 1 was made in 2001, 4 years before this game. It has better graphics, better gameplay, better ... everything.

Good day, how are you?

Well... decently. The weather could be better.

Fuzimi: Hmm, true, it's not just the physics, it's this entire game, so... "The mystery is how does the game even work and not crash constantly".

I greet you. (me ape, me greet, me great dialogue master)

Good day. What happy cause made you visit me? (I want the name of the guy who wrote the dialogue to this game .... so I can kill him)

Your friend ... Agir ... sent you this message.

That bastard, he sure choose a noble man as a courier.

My name is Gooka, friend.

I'm glad to know. They call me Nomik, Nomik Big Mouth...

Clearly you are more talkative than most people I know.

Hahah... well, that's surely true, even though I don't look like I would be.

But I don't want to bother you much, sir, what message from my friend do you have for me?

Hmm... Hmmmm... Fine. Would you be so kind and tell Agir in the town,

that it suits me most at the end of vakan?

Of course, I will probably visit your friend again, maybe I will need to talk to him about something.

Yeah, Agir knows a lot, be sure to visit him... and if you see him by random, send him my regards....

and at the end of vakan, yeah?

Of course. See you later.

I wish you a great day!

Why didn't the game allow me to read it? It wasn't that important by the looks of it.

Did the sailor tell us not to open it? I can't remember, but I think he didn't.

Nothing new on the telepathy front.

I should be able to open the safe and to kill the bandits now.

I'm getting lost, somehow. I don't know how. :D

Also the game runs more sluggish the more you play it, up until the 19 episode it is all one recording without exiting the game.

Everything here looks the same to me, that's probably why am I getting so confused.

Psychonauts is a great game. It's a platformer, but it has an humongous amount of dialogue. And absolutely great level design.

Those constant camera changes do not help my confusion.

And the requirements to that and Dungeon Siege 1 ... they should've taken notes.

Fuzimi: I didn't play Psychonauts yet, but I did watch it.

I've seen about 10 hours of footage. It is a great game, once you give it a chance.

Marik.....

Don't say anything, sir. Here is the money...

And this is how you blackmail people.

If I don't have enough money, he will give me money. So I will have to run from here to the town multiple times to buy everything I need.

What a failure of game design.

Fuzimi: Yeah, I have it on Steam, it was in some Humble Bundle pack. :D

By the way, the successfully kickstartered a Psychonauts 2, they got like 3 millions from the fans, so they are now working on that.

The lockpick got completely destroyed.

WHAT? But I've used the fixed one, on the already broken one!

Can't use the key.

Let's ... check the walkthrough real quick.

Fuzimi: Aaaaand we're fu.cked.

Why did it break? It was completely fixed, as new! I completely lost it!

As if I tried to use a non-fixed lockpick on it! Is the game unwinnable now?

*Starts crying*

Maybe I shouldn't have a freecam in this moment, at this place...

Now I will have to check what does the damaged lockpick do.

Fuzimi: Hey, call these two guys Chip and Dale. [Šíp a Dejl in Czech pronounciation]

And as Fuzimi said, I did in the last episode, calling it like that. Aren't I great?

I only take chicken breasts because I'm on a diet /sighs/

YUM

(he's telling the girls what's his name) JOO HAK NYEON

thank you!! (now jinwo can be more comfortable :))

when is your birthday??

Today is my birthday!!!!

woaaah congrats!!

oh, thank you!! (look at jinwoo being surprised so cute)

I couldn't buy you anything :(

no, no, thank you so much!!

Cre.ker ent's Joo Haknyeon

me too, I also choose Jihoon (as the center)

if it was before I would have given up because it's very difficult

I think I can endure it because that's how earnest I am

because I need to debut

(he's so nervous his hands are trembling)

fast fast fast fast

(taemin tho ;_;)

To be honest, I wonder if I can ever recieve this much love again while I'm alive

I... with a noona and a female dongsaeng, we're a 3 siblings, who were raised without a father

and I would like to thank my mother

I will become a son you can be proud of. Thank you.

Druring practice, Eunki hyung said he didn't fit the role of leader but he's lying, he did so well

(look at them being lovey dovey with haknyeon)

Haknyeonie, congratulations!!

Thank you

Eunki hyung is someone I'm really thankful to

(cuties)

(look at them taking care of eunki TT)

(after hyungseob's speech)

All the Right Round hyungs have had a hard time; thank you for always showing me so much care

I will become a Haknyeon who is modest and works hard. Thank you.

(thumbs up to Jaehwan and clappinggg)

(JOJANG)

(bff Hyunmin to Haknyeon) Yah, you have to debut, okay? TT

(look at him crying and holding yongguk's hand :(

mom!! (haknyeon and daewhi being puppies)

(you did great sweetie)

(kenta and haknyeon playing, oh my heart)

(LOOK AT YONGGUK AND HAKNYEON OMG)

(he's packing marshmallows to give to his company's workers)

(king of promoting himself comes again)

but hyung, I really want to ask that... is raising a pig hard or not?

how you feed them well everyday

aah, so everyone... here let me tell you something

everyone thought that feeding pigs is done using a shovel by shoving it into their cage or something like that

but now... is a digital era!! an automatic era, right?

so it's like this... just by pushing one botton like this, it goes "chaak!" and the food comes out

so I just need to push the botton around 6 times and it's done

ung: "ah, it's super easy"

haknyeon: you haven't eaten anything? ung: yes

ya! you can't... you shouldn't starve yourself in the morning

next time hyung (haknyeoon) will pack you some salad lunchbox

yes :D

I'll pack you just one lol

(Haknyeon writing thanks and drawing a heart in a post it)

(kkulnyeon: thank you for watching till the end really T.T)
