Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - REVIEW (Nintendo Switch) - Duration: 8:14.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is back but this time on the Nintendo Switch and with
an optional Funky twist.
So here's the deal Tropical Freeze is still very much the same game it was back in 2014
on the Wii U.
Which is to say, it's freaking amazing.
Look, I'm not going to beat around the banana bunch here--this was, and continues to be,
one of the best platformers ever made.
I replayed the entire game in "Original" mode for the purpose of this review and had
just as much fun my second time through as I did my first.
I won't go into all of it here--you can watch my original review of the Wii U version
for the full breakdown--but here's a quick recap.
Tropical Freeze is simply a marvel of 2D platformer game design--as if the entire history of the
sidescrolling genre has been leading up to this one moment.
And that's largely due to two things: Absolutely amazing level design and fantastic controls.
I've never played a side scrolling game this creative while also playing this well.
I said it before and I'll say it again: Retro somehow made swimming as a giant ape
feel elegant
What really makes Tropical Freeze stand out is how intricate each and every level feels,
consisting of myriad moving parks.
Each level feels like a miniature trip to Disneyland, with incredible detail befitting
the world's theme, while featuring a truly wonderful kinetic energy, making, bringing
the world alive in a way that even 2D Mario can only dream of.
Dancing trees swing platforms around.
An octopus closes off paths while in pursuit.
Even a saw blade carves a path of flying wood in front of your very eyes.
The amount of creativity is staggering--especially when you consider that, for as truly crazy
things can get, it still somehow feels incredibly grounded.
You won't find any magical floating platforms here.
Everything has a reason for being where it is and and acting the way it does--the shelves
in the fruit factory spin around only as a result of fruit rolling into them.
Platforms drip slowly down honey waterfalls.
And It's this incredible devotion to thematic consistency that elevates Tropical Freeze
above its contemporaries--or is that Kongtempries?
Even the floating platforms here are only floating because you're trapped inside a
giant tornado--which is a visual splendor in its own right.
And speaking of visual splendor, the bright colorful visuals are still a joy to behold--with
the silhouette levels still being particularly striking.
Especially now that Tropical Freeze looks ever so slightly better on the Nintendo Switch
thanks to the upgrade to native 1080p when docked from the originals 720p--it looks sharp
and made me appreciate the finer details even more.
And of course, it's impossible to talk about Tropical Freeze without mentioning the absolutely
brilliant soundtrack by original DKC composer, David Wise.
This is one of the finest collections of tracks I've ever heard in a Nintendo game--with
several actually getting me worked up a bit emotionally--all over a giant ape who just
wants to get home.
The track for Seashore War is stilll haunting--and conveys the true weight of the adventure that
DK and crew have undertaken.
But for as much praise as I have for the game, I'm possibly even more annoyed now my second
time through by the bonus rooms, which are uninspired and incredibly repetitive.
Although they layout does change--purportedly--they all feel the same.
And they bring the otherwise sublime action to a grinding halt.
Breaking up the level's flow and interrupting the generally fantastic music with...this.
Gaah.
It's for these reasons that I still recommend you skip them your first time through--especially
because they thankfully only unlock small bonuses like concept art.
Oh, and the entire adventure is still tough as nails--remember, this is the game that
Nintendo even dedicated an entire trailer to just how difficult it can be.
And even though this was my 2nd time through, there were parts where that I still lost a
dozen or more lives--and yet, I never found it unfair or frustrating.
But then again, not everyone has 30 years of platforming experience, and it's perhaps
for that very reason that Tropical Freeze on Nintendo Switch introduces Funky Mode--which
offers a much more accessible way of playing--in fact, it's now the default option!
As you might expect, Funky Mode puts you in control of Funky Kong who's basically a
God by Donkey Kong standards.
He gets 5 hearts instead of the usual 4, can double-jump, hover in the air, stand on spikes,
and breath underwater!
Seriously, why hasn't this guy been the main hero the entire time?
On top of this, Funky mode also allows you to use items mid-level--such as ones that
rescue you from bottomless pits--as well as saving any KONG letters you find, as you find
them, meaning you don't have to collect them all in one go.
It's almost a little absurd just how strong and agile Funky Kong is, allowing you to skip
entire platforms or even sections of a level that Donkey Kong would have had to traversed.
But it's for that exact reason that Funky Kong definitely lives up to the "fun"
part of his name--allowing you to play through these levels relatively worry-free and in
entirely new ways never envisioned by the original developers--which is pretty cool--and
I can imagine being particularly fun for speed runs.
But at the same time, you're playing through the game in a way not envisioned by the original
creators.
As I've already touched on, with the level design in Tropical Freeze is second to none,
tearing through them with near complete disregard of the original intent almost feels a little
insulting.
So I still firmly believe Tropical Freeze is best experienced as originally intended--with
Donkey Kong in order to truly appreciate the full effect of each level--at least for your
first playthrough.
Which is why it's fantastic that that you can still play as DK--along with his partners
in Funky Mode--allowing you to ditch Funky's god-like powers, while still retaining the
other benefits , like an extra heart and mid-level item usage--essentially turning it into a
glorified easy mode.
This maintains the integrity of the original level design, while making it far more accessible
to different skill-ranges.
Outside of Funky Mode though, not much else has changed.
Sure, the graphics are a little sharper, and loading times have been significantly reduced--oh
and DK dies have a cute new idle animation where he plays Nintendo Switch--buuut that's
about it.
Which raises the question: is it worth picking up if you already own Tropical Freeze on Wii
U.
To which I would answer that, unless you found the original just too dang difficult, I'd
have a hard time recommending the game at full price for returning players, as the content
is otherwise identical to the Wii U version.
So unless you really just really want to re-experience it with slightly sharper graphics with Funky
Kong, rest easy knowing that you're not missing anything significant by not buying
it again.
However, if you haven't yet experienced Tropical Freeze for the first time--then it
is absolutely worth the price of admission.
Tropical Freeze is a game I absolutely love, and this is the definitive version--even if
it's just by a few of Funky's hairs.
Tropical Freeze isn't just one of the finest platforming experience on the Nintendo Switch--but
ever.
And with that, thanks for watching.
And make sure to stay tuned to GameXplain for more on DKC: Tropical Freeze and everything
Nintendo Switch.

Public playgrounds for kids in Hungary - Duration: 2:16.
Sziasztok
Today in our Minute Hungary, I came to show you the outdoor playgrounds that the children have here in Hungary.
Let's go?
these playgrounds are really cool, the toys are very well reinforced, very well made.
the floor here is made of rubber, so if the child falls it does not hurt.
In some playgrounds you can even find public bathrooms.
you put 200 Forints here,
and then you can go in and use the bathroom.
Very cool.
It has a really good structure.
And this park is like that, not because it's new, but because here in Hungary there is no
vandalism, children play, have fun, and everything more...
And there are so many playgrounds in the Hungarian cities that you will find for your children to play,
very cool, very fun.
And that was our today's Hungary Minute.

biḥurmati man lā nabiyya ba'dahu biḥurmati l-Fātiḥah (for the sake of the
one after whom there is no prophet). All these
without [being] broken,
from Prophet (saw)
up to our Grandshaykh.
And Grandshaykh,
he has been ordered
by Prophet, peace be upon him,
to give khilāfat,
to give permission to me
to look after Naqshbandī people
as long as we are on
this world.
And my responsibility with them.
I am nothing. But they are,
they must be
in relationship
through Golden Chain
from Rasūlu Llāh (saw)
up to ourselves.
If anyone
making any objecting,
objection on me,
I am not a person
making myself
to be here or to be Shaykh,
or to be khalīfah or to be Naqshbandī.
It is something that they are ordering.
If they are not ordering,
I like to escape
to be unseen, unknown.
But they are putting me,
ordering me to be here.
That is an order
from Prophet, peace be upon him (saw)
to Grandhshaykh -
when he was leaving
to look after Naqshbandī people,
to look after murīds.
That is not my order, my command.
If anyone
has a question
and objection, may ask from Prophet (saw)
why he appointed me
to be after Grandshaykh.
They are Grandshaykh. I'm only servant.
And
everyone from East, from West,
from Arab, from Turk, from Germans, from English,
from American - every kind of people
they are sending to me.
No one coming to me with [by] my power
but they are sending
people to me.
I'm not making advertisement
to come to me anyone.
So many people asking to come, I am saying
"I am moving. Don't come."
But they are asking to come.
And your spiritual life
in connection with our soul.
Therefore, everyone
who coming to me
and meeting me must be
in meeting with my soul
before coming here.
If our souls going to be
on same line, it is
the sign of real
relationship through
Naqshbandī ṭarīqah. If not,
it means that he is not in our line
and he must look his own line
through East or West.
And we are not saying to anyone
"Don't go there, come here.
Don't follow that, come here." Only
I am saying for Wahhābī people.
I am trying to awaken ummah (Muslim community)
for the danger of Wahhābī
or fitnah of Wahhābī -
not for any Shaykh,
particularly Naqshbandī Shaykh.
May go thousands of people
to following Shaykhs.
We have
proud and we are happy
to follow, to be followed
a Shaykh by thousands of people.
Never harming me.
Because no jealousy
through ṭarīqah. Really.
But so many imitated people
claiming they are ṭarīqah people,
not knowing real adab from ṭarīqah.
They are doing fitnah
between Shaykhs
and murīds. But real Shaykhs
they're never affected
by such foolish people.
Because ṭarīqah only the way
leads people to Allāh Almighty.
If they are going to Allāh,
we are going to say "No"? No, go
with pleasure, with pleasure.
Therefore, that is our chain.
And they have my responsibility.
They think that we may do wrong, they may correct it.
They are not leaving to make a wrong thing
for teaching murīds
or doing. It is alright.
Therefore, al-ḥamdu liLlāh,
we are not like mushroom -
no roots, no branches,
no flowers, no fruits.
This Naqshbandī way
the first most important
way to Allāh Almighty.
From beginning up today
it is as it was
the first time. Now it is alright
and it should be -
I mean to say Naqshbandī ṭarīqah
should be the first most important,
most powerful ṭarīqah
up to end of the world also.
Therefore, if anyone
they have a permission
in such a way, they are going to
guide people on Naqshbandī way.
If no permission,
they must look after
some permitted person
to be with him. They know.
Adiyaman Shaykh knows this point.
Shaykh Mahmoud Efendi knows that point.
And any other Naqshbandī Shaykh
in Anatolia knows that point.
In Aleppo, in Damascus,
in Baghdad, in Hijaz, in Egypt,
in Sudan, in Maghrib, in Hind,
in Pakistan, in Far East,
in Malaysia, in Indonesia -
everywhere whom claiming
that they are Naqshbandī or Naqshbandī Shaykh,
they must know what I am saying.
And if they have anything
what I am saying,
if they can find anything not acceptable,
they may ask from Holy Prophet, peace be upon him.
That is the way. And we are asking forgiveness.
Wa min Allāhi t-tawfīq biḥurmati l-Fātiḥah.

Bye, Bye Blue Wave! New Poll Spells DISASTER For Dems in November Midterms - Duration: 1:56.
Bye, Bye Blue Wave!
New Poll Spells DISASTER For Dems in November Midterms.
Democrats are feeling very confident about the 2018 mid-term elections.
They're talking about the "BLUE WAVE" that will sweep the nation and crush President
Trump's America First agenda.
However, recent polls, including this one from Reuters, tells a very, very different
story for desperate Dems.
From Daily Caller
The latest poll from Reuters and Ispos shows that millennial support for Democrats has
significantly dropped over the past two years.
The poll surveyed more than 16,000 registered voters from January through March of this
year.
The data shows that only 49 percent of voters between the ages of 18-34 are likely to support
a Democrat, a nearly 10 percent drop from the 2016 iteration of Reuters poll.
While "overt" support for the Republican party did not change from 2016, the same amount
of young voters (39 percent) now say they would support a Republican for Congress as
a Democrat, erasing the 14 percent gap in the 2016 poll.
Additionally, millennials are now almost evenly split on which party has a better economic
plan: 34 percent favored Democrats on the issue, while 32 percent favored Republicans.
In 2016, Democrats outperformed Republicans on the economic question by 12 points.
You can view view the poll in its entirety.
The Reuters poll comes amid speculation that Democrats are primed to take back Congressional
majorities in the 2018 midterm elections.

How to Script YouTube Videos (for HIGH ENGAGEMENT) - Duration: 6:25.
Sunny Lenarduzzi: You want to get 39,000 comments on your next YouTube video?
Keep watching.
Welcome to the Sunny Show.
Did I hook you?
Hey, boss.
It's Sunny Lenarduzzi, and now, this is step one to writing a script that gets high engagement.
When you get high engagement on YouTube, you get more retention, which means you're going
to get higher rankings and more views to suggested and through search.
How do you write a whole script that's going to give you massive amounts of engagement?
We're going to talk about that today.
I'm going to take you step-by-step through it.
Step number one is the hot intro, so hook, outcome, testimonial.
That's what the hot intro stands for.
Hook is obviously getting the viewers' attention right off the bat to make them want to stay
tuned in.
Outcome is telling them exactly what they're going to get out of your video by the end
of watching it, again, making them want to stay tuned in to the whole thing, and testimonial
is if you are an entrepreneur or you are some sort of expert of any kind, giving people
a reason to believe you and trust you, i.e., I've worked with thousands of people in the
fitness space or in the YouTube space, something like that, some sort of testimonial.
That's hook, outcome, testimonial, the whole hot intro, but if you were just starting,
and you don't want to deal with the outcome and testimonial pieces, just make sure you
don't miss the hook because the hook is what's going to get your viewers' attention immediately
and make them want to watch your entire video.
The hook is vital.
Let's say I'm doing a vlog on traveling around Canada.
I'm going to hook my viewers by doing something like this.
Video: Oh, my God.
Did you just see that whale?
SunnyLenarduzzi: Really, the easiest way to do this is either by starting off with something
that's going to make them go, "Oh, my gosh, I have to watch this," kind of what I did
at the beginning of this video or starting with the most exciting piece of footage and
working backwards to tell the story of how you got to that moment because then, people
know something really exciting is coming and you're going to lead them all the way back
there by the end of the video.
Makes sense?
Cool.
Step number two of writing a high engagement script for YouTube is asking for what you
want.
You want people to subscribe, and you also want people to hit the little bell to be notified
when you go live when you post new videos, whatever else it might be.
You want to build your tribe.
The only way to do that is to remember that not everybody uses YouTube on a daily basis
so you got to tell them what to do, so at the beginning of your video after you've hooked
people, ask them to subscribe to your channel.
Step number three is the meat.
Think of it as a sandwich.
If a sandwich was just two pieces of bread, it's pretty boring, so the meat is really
important, and you want to get into it as quickly as possible.
Whether it's a blog and you get into the storytelling piece of it or it's a tutorial and you get
into the sequential steps, the meat matters, and the sooner that you can get into the meat
of your video, the more people are going to be engaged in your content and wanting to
watch all the way through.
Step number four is middle engagement, so keep your questions simple because again,
not everybody uses YouTube every single day.
You need to warm people up.
You get them over that hump of actually leaving a comment on YouTube.
What I like to do and how I rack up thousands of comments on my videos, I ask something
really simple.
For example, in this video I'm going to ask you right now, is the scripting process making
sense?
If it is, write boss in the comments below.
I know a few of you are going to go do that, which thank you for doing it, and if you've
written boss, then it makes me more comfortable to write more comments throughout the entire
video.
You've asked them to subscribe at the beginning, that's one piece of engagement.
Then, you're asking them a question in the middle to keep them drawn into you and keep
them engaged in your content.
Plus, up your engagement by getting more comments on your videos, so if you're craving comments,
this is a simple thing to do in your scripts to make sure that people are actually going
to comment on your content.
Step five is your outro engagement.
You want to make sure that before people leave their video, they are engaging with you.
There's a couple of things that you can do.
One, you want to ask them to like it if they liked it, dislike it if they didn't because
a dislike is still a piece of engagement, and it gets people interacting with your content
and probably coming back for more.
Ask them to subscribe once more if they enjoyed the content, and tell them there's a new content
coming up so they have something to look forward to.
Ask them to share it with someone that you know it would be beneficial to.
Another way to increase your engagement through your script is to ask a question, and then
include that question in the cards in your video.
Right now, we're going to add a card that says, "Are you going to use the scripting
formula?
Yes or no?"
Again, this isn't a monologue.
Boring YouTube videos are people talking at you.
Great YouTube videos with super high engagement have scripts that engage you and make you
feel like you're having a conversation and a dialogue.
Step number six, ask your viewers out.
Might sound a little forward, but it works.
You want to ask your viewers to join you somewhere else because what happens is someone finds
your video on YouTube, they think it's really entertaining, they think it's really great
obviously because you're great, but then, they forget about you.
There's too much content online, so what you need to do is make sure that you're sending
them somewhere where you can further build a relationship.
Of course, you're going to chat back with them in the comments, but also send them to
a Facebook group, to your email list, to your website, to your other social platforms, and
build those using YouTube.
Please just don't forget to send them somewhere because your viewers want to follow you and
build a relationship with you.
Step one is you need to take the first step, and ask them out.
If you're serious about killing it on YouTube, don't forget to grab my zero to a hundred
thousand subscribers guide.
I walk you through and reverse-engineer how one of my clients went from zero to … She's
actually now at 200,000 subscribers in less than 10 months.
Everything you need to know is in there.
You can grab it at the link below this video, and I know it's going to help you so much.
Did this video help you?
Are you going to use the scripting process?
Let me know in the comments below.
I can't wait to chat with you there after the video, and I will see you in the next
one.

Can I Massage Cold Oil For Arthritis Pain Relief Of Knee And Other Joints - Duration: 1:21.
Can I Massage Cold Oil, For Arthritis Pain Relief Of Knee, And Other Joints?
Well, in short, the answer is, no!, you should not take any oil massage, for arthritis pain
relief of knee and other joints.
Many people think that, arthritis pain is caused by, the reducing oil of knees, and
other joints in our body.
In addition, they also suggest that, taking or by massaging cod liver oil on the joints,
can get you relief from arthritis pain.
But, the fact is, in the knee joints or any other joints in our body, there is actually
no oil present.
There is a fluid, called Synovial fluid, that reduce friction between the articular cartilage
of synovial joints during movement.
So, those people are wrong.
You should definitely see a doctor, if you have arthritis pain.
Cold oil, or any type of oil massage, can not relief you from arthritis pain, and it
could get worse by that.

How I use Youtube - How to Use Youtube for Your Blog - Duration: 8:23.
- Hey guys, it's Ben Medina.
Hope you guys are having a awesome day today.
Today I'm gonna talk about how I use YouTube for my blog.
(lively music)
So this year I made a conscious effort
to actively use YouTube as my primary blogging method,
and there's two particular reasons why I decided to do this.
So the first reason why I'm using YouTube
to actually create my blog posts
is the ease of finding good topics
and this is all thanks to an amazing tool
I've been using for about a month or so and I love it.
It's called TubeBuddy.
You can learn about information and check it out
and it's actually free so you can actually
download it for free, just check it out.
A link is down below.
You can also check out the play plan.
I'm on the play plan and if you are going to use TubeBuddy,
just FYI that is in the clip links and will get compensated.
Thanks to TubeBuddy, I can easily come up with topics
for my YouTube channel and blog, just like that.
The second reason I decided to use YouTube for my blog,
is really because of YouTube Live.
Now, I have done a couple of YouTube Lives in the past
and they're different than pre-produced videos
like this one that I'm actually shooting
in that YouTube Live, obviously doesn't have
the kind of music or kind of edited feel
that this video does, but what I really love
about YouTube live is that it's just so easy
to create YouTube content because you just go live.
And my third reason why I've decided to use YouTube
as my main blogging platform is that it's just so nice
when you have the YouTube video on a blog post
because you can actually read the blog post
or you can actually watch a YouTube video.
You kind of have this sense of me
and kind of what I'm about, because you can see me
and you can also hear me.
So that's another reason why I just love using YouTube
as a blogging weapon.
Plus a bonus reason why I love using YouTube
is that to make a blog post, all I gotta do
is just take the captions file,
and then just edit it a little bit, add some photos
a nice couple headers and have my blog post just like that,
so that's one good reason why I love
using YouTube as my blogging weapon.
So that kind explains for the reasons
why I'm using YouTube as my blogging weapon.
Now I'm gonna go over the actual process by which
I actually create my YouTube videos,
and you can probably adapt this process for your own.
The first thing that I have to do
whenever I decide to make a YouTube video
is I have to decide on a topic.
Now I use a tool called TubeBuddy.
They have a great feature called the Tag Explorer
where you can actually type in key words
and it will tell you what the competition is,
or whether it's a good video topic idea
or if maybe you might need to try
and come up with something else.
And in the next clip I'm gonna
show you a demo of how to use it.
So today I'm gonna show you how I actually use TubeBuddy
to come up with my topics for my YouTube videos.
So the first thing I do is I go to the Search bar
and I type in some keywords,
for example, let's just say "YouTube Live".
And you can see there's all these
different examples that come up.
So let's say "YouTube Live Streaming Tutorial".
That seems like a good topic.
So now, what I can do, it'll actually appear over here,
but lemme show you how TubeBuddy works.
So if I click over here to TubeBuddy,
this is the TubeBuddy Dashboard and I go to Tab Explorer,
what I can do, is I can basically,
give this a few moments to load.
What I can do is I can basically
type this search term in here,
for example, "YouTube Live Streaming Tutorial",
click Explore, and it will actually analyze it
and tell me whether this is a good YouTube video to make,
based off how much competition there is,
as well as whether people are
actually searching for this term.
So, it'll give it up in a few moments
and it'll actually give me a score
based off of whether they think I should do it.
So as you can see here, Search Volume is pretty high,
Competition is very high, Overall Score is poor,
meaning I should probably not title my video this video.
However, let's see if we do something else,
so here's some other tags, like other options you could use.
Let's try "How To Livestream On YouTube".
And for kicks, lemme put in the year, 2018.
And it's taking a little bit of time.
So now it's actually analyzing this new title.
And you can see now, unlike the other one,
Search Volume is relatively, somewhat on the low-ish end,
the Competition's pretty low,
the score meaning it's very good
75 out of 100, meaning this is a video
I should definitely make.
So now that I have my YouTube topic thanks to TubeBuddy,
the next step is to actually save
these ideas in a Trello board.
Now I've talked about Trello multiple times
on the channel if you want to learn more about it.
You can check out the YouTube cards.
I think it's over here, or over there,
wherever, I always get this confused.
You can check out the YouTube cards,
where I have a total playlist
on how to use Trello more effectively.
So definitely check that out, but as my second step
I actually take my YouTube ideas
and I save 'em in a Trello board.
So after I've inserted the video into Trello
and I've kind of finagled the actual description,
the title, I've made an outline,
the next step is create the video.
So usually I will either go live,
or I will shoot a video like this one,
edit it, add some music, and then upload it.
Once I've created the video, the next step is
to actually craft a description.
Now, the way I actually craft my descriptions
is I use the tags I created using TubeBuddy
and I craft a description that is
designed to one, appeal to YouTube search,
but also make it sound kind of natural
and enable you to actually find the video
so that you can check it out.
But after the YouTube video is created,
one of the nice things about YouTube
is that there are all these
interactive elements you can use,
so I always add YouTube cards,
and also end screens to insure
that you guys can interact with not just
this video but all sorts of videos,
and it creates nice interactive elements
that enable you to really take advantage
of (mumbles) on YouTube
and you can check out all this great content.
The last step in actually creating the YouTube video
and getting it ready for publication is,
I need a captions file.
So I like to use a service called Rev.com.
I will put a link for them down below in the description,
but they're my favorite way that I create my caption files.
And the really nice thing about Rev
is that you can actually sync up
your Rev account with your YouTube account,
so then it will actually upload the captions
direct to YouTube and I don't have to do anything,
so that's really, really cool.
And finally, the last and certainly not
the least important is actually making the blog post.
So what I actually do is I actually
take the Youtube video, I embed it on my blog,
again I take the captions file
and then I edit the captions file to make my blog post,
and then I add all the pictures and images,
I include the social share buttons
and just like that I have a new blog post on my blog,
all emanating from my YouTube channel.
So that in a nutshell, is basically how
I use YouTube to create my blog content.
So I hope this video was super helpful for you guys.
If you like this video, leave a like comment below
on what your YouTube channel is,
and also what your blog is so I can check it out,
and also if you really love this content,
be sure to subscribe.
Just hit the red button down there.
And also hit the notification bar
so that you never miss another one
of these videos like this one.
So I hope this video was helpful guys
and I can't wait for you to try out
all these techniques and boost your blog.
So, have a nice day.

BTTC Everolimus/Sorafenib Study - Duration: 4:06.
>> I'm going to be talking about BTTCO9O1,
a phase one/two trial of Everolimus and Sorafenib for patients with recurrent malignant gliomas.
BTTC 09-01 Study
>> This is a phase one/two trial using two
drugs called Everolimus and Sorafenib in combination to treat patients with recurrent glioblastoma
or recurrent anaplastic gliomas.
The basis for this study is to determine one, if the combination is safe, which is a phase
one, which has now been completed.
And the second phase is, the phase two, is using a combination to see if we can improve
outcomes for patients who have recurrent glioblastoma who have either failed Bevacuzumab or have
not been treated with Bevacuzumab.
As well as a group of grade three patients who have never been treated with Bevacuzumab
before.
Eligibility Criteria
>> As part of the eligibility criteria for
this study patients will have to have a recurrent malignant glioma.
These can either be a grade three tumor or a grade four tumor often called anaplastic
astrocytomas or glioblastomas.
Other parts of the major eligibility criteria are that these patients will have to have
recurrent tumors.
So, they are not newly diagnosed.
They will have to have normal laboratory parameters to make sure their kidney, their liver, their
blood counts are all under normal limits.
They can also not have prior history of hepatitis or HIV.
Or any intrinsic lung disease, kidney disease or cardiac dysfunction, which could be problematic
for patients taking these medications.
The medications are provided on the trial.
All patients will be given a study calendar to use prior to taking the drugs at home.
As both of them are administered as oral pills for the patients to take.
They do not require coming to the hospital.
The drugs are provided by the clinical trial.
And most aspects of the clinical trial will be billed to the patient's insurance company.
However, if their specific study requirements related to research, those will be covered
by the clinical trial.
Potential Risks and Benefits
>> As with all chemotherapeutic agents, there's
a number of side effects that patients can endure while they're on the study.
Most of the side effects we've learned about come from other indications where these drugs
have been used.
But we will be monitoring for safety while patients are on this study.
There are certain risks and some of them maybe unique for patients with brain tumors.
Although most of the time we do not see any unique toxicities in this patient population.
While we don't know if the medications will help treat your tumor, that is the real hope
of study that we can control your disease for a period of time, if not potentially indefinitely.
Patients will remain on the study for as long as they're tolerating the medication.
That means not having any adverse side effects which cannot be controlled with either lowering
a dose, holding the dose or by stopping the medication for short period of time.
As long as they want to be on the clinical trial.
And as long as we see the drug is benefiting them and their tumor has not started to recur.
Enrollment
>> The trial will enroll approximately 30
patients in each arm for the phase two study.
The phase one study was a smaller number of patients which is now completed.
For more information about the trial, we would like you to go to the BTTC website to learn
more about it to see if it's something that you're interested in or if it fits your specific
disease criteria.
Everolimus and Sorafenib Rationale
>> I encourage you to watch my other video
on how the mechanism of action of these two drugs work.
And the rationale for combining them in an attempt to try to treat your tumor.

BTTC Everolimus/Sorafenib Study Rationale - Duration: 1:56.
>> Everolimus and Sorafenib are two drugs
we're using in our clinical trial.
Both of these drugs have a different mechanism of action.
Malignant gliomas are often functioned based on receptors on the tumor's surface that activate
a number of pathways with inside of the cell.
The two drugs we're using block primarily different pathways with inside of the tumor's
cell.
In hopes that by shutting them down, it will stop the tumor from continuing to grow.
One of the drugs is specific to something called mTOR which is down one of the pathways.
The other drug, Sorafenib, targets both intercellular pathways in a different path, but also targets
receptor on top of the cell's surface.
The combination of these drugs hopefully will be more effective than either drug alone in
trying to treat these tumors.
^M00:00:50 Everolimus and Sorafenib Rationale
>> As we learn more about how tumors work
we've moved away from some of our traditional chemotherapies which damage the DNA of cells
to trying to target more of the tumor's biologic activities.
The rationale for using these two drugs, Everolimus and Sorafenib, is really to target the biology
of the tumor and less so trying to damage the cell's DNA.
Using targetive therapies to treat cancer has become more important across all tumor
types.
But also, importantly for patients with glioblastoma and anaplastic gliomas.

Dillon Black talks about barriers and diverse gender representation in the workplace - Duration: 1:14.
Hi, I'm Dillon Black.
I'm part of the Gender Equality Advisory Council.
Representation matters in terms of having women at the table in leadership positions and decision making.
Not only because of the increasing amount of barriers that women face in terms of accessing those types of positions, but in order to bring
diverse sets of knowledge and experiences to the table around issues that that matter to women and other marginalized communities.
I'm very honored to have my expertise brought forward on this council.
I think as a community person, it's really meaningful to be able to have a seat at that table and to be able to collaborate with a lot of other brilliant rockstars in their fields as well.
And I think, you know, just having a person who looks like me represented matters
And ensuring that gender equality is comprehensive and addressed within all the themes is just such an innovative and important and momentous thing at this time.
So it's very exciting and I'm very honored.

Come cambiare correttamente l'olio motore | ABC MANUTENZIONE MOTO 05 - Duration: 2:33.
welcome again at ABC Motorcycle Maintenance
always at Scuola Moto with Marco and Pakelo
today we are going to see something
you do quite often in your garage which is
the change of the motorcycle oil
what are the steps Marco?
you need to get the oil and filter out
choose a fresh oil that fits
then reinstall the filter and fill with the fresh oil
great, let's start!
search in the lower part of the engine
for a big screw in the very lower part
which you can see it here in this case
get out the screw with a simple Allen key
while for the filter you need
to use a specific filter oil pliers to get it out
how can I choose the oil?
the company specifies the physical properties of the oil
for example you might find 10W40 written
which is a quite common oil
and that is enough for you to know which oil to use
what shall I consider about the quality and type of oil instead?
I would recommend not to save money on the quality of the oil
and go for a top quality one
so now that I have my fresh oil
how do I proceed?
first of all, reinstall the oil drain plug
that you got out before
and tighten it up moderately
while the new oil filter
will be tightened up by hands
very close but without using any tools
so now I can put the fresh oil, right
exactly, this time you will do a first refill
and then turn on the engine for a couple of minutes
then you turn it off and wait a couple of minutes
to let the oil deposit
then finally measure it again
and it's done!
nice, we learnt how to change the oil on our own
keep in mind not to throw
the waste oil randomly

so Jim you've cornered me in the back hallway of the Convention Center exactly
with a something for your video series that's right and you know you have great
experiences throughout your career and I just want to just really
encapsulate what did you learn from your biggest failure yeah well you know as
someone who tries a lot of things I fail a lot I
it's hard to quantify which was my biggest failure because there's so many
failures along the way but probably the biggest and most difficult one for me
was after I started my first company my first company is super successful and public
etc so I figured I could just do it over and over again it was an easy thing I
could grow things from nothing to something and do it routinely and so
when I started my second company I had a lot of overconfidence and so when that
sort of hit the dot-com crash and I had to leave the company and you know I
found a new CEO to replace me etc but it was a really really hard struggle to
think that my first company to be so successful
but I can totally blow it okay what about you make a success then how did
that you know well I'd say the thing that set me up for doing what I what
I've been able to do the rest of my life is my first company which is still has
had a lot of impact on the planet so where we MapInfo created that when I was
21 years old it went public when I was 28 and it and we invented the concept
and that was many years ago I did it right out of school granted over and
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where I you know I started the company with three
other co-founders and we a couple thousand you know fifteen hundred people
a couple hundred million in revenues and it became but the big innovation there
was you type an address into a computer and you see a street map so we enabled
the street mapping on personal computers initially and there thousands of you
know innovations that came out of that and and you know we mapped the world you
know with street addresses so precursor it's a Google Maps essentially it was a
precursor to Google Maps precursor to MapQuest
and what about your luckiest break luckiest break I'm still looking for it
no I find it I've had a couple a good you know you know I fact I'm a venture
capitalist these days and so so I backed a lot of good companies over the years
and when I see something that I think is really strong I often you know go all-in
I go in pretty big into a company or you know a portfolio approach of course but
I've had a couple of really lucky breaks by backing companies that they turned
into like billion-dollar company was the biggest well the biggest company that I
did on that on a private company perspective is I was a seed investor in
this company Harmonix they did extremely well they created guitar hero and rock
band that was just like a 70 X game but more recently we've backed a company
called it max but looking going to be more like a thousand-to-one
sort of game so like we could you know certainly create hundreds of millions
from a very small initial investment thanks thank you so much thanks
