We all know that by repeating a lesson,

it helps to put it into our long-term memory

Now the great thing about YouTube,

is it gives you the option to create playlists.

Most people don't use that feature

but you definitely should.

If you find a lesson is particularly good

and you like it a lot

or you find the lesson it is a little bit difficult to grasp

and you know that you have to go back

to watch it a few more times, add it to a playlist

and then you'll always remember

how to find those lessons.

Annnnnnnndddd I'm gonna do so.

I'm gonna use this old piece of reclaimed walnut.

Finally put it to use.

First we got to get it kinda squared up. So... that's what we gonna do.

This is kind of a rough cut edge here.

But it's the straightest one I've got.

So that's the one I'm gonna use.

Going against the grain there.

That's a wee bit better.

Aint much that smells better than walnut. I'm just sayin.

Ok now.

We got this side...

fairly square.

So now....

we gonna do this side.

Clean it up some.

Gonna do that on the table saw.

I need to order a ripping blade.

But that's nothing I can't fix with a plane.

Alrighty then... I don't know if you can see that but I got it marked out.

You may be thinking that introverted people are just additional players in this world.

They are hidden in society, and they will not raise up.

However, such thing is completely wrong.

There are some important people as world-leading managers who are introverts.

If you think introversion is a disease, you should look at these advantages for being

introvert.

First of all, being introverts actually limit yourself from trashing information that you

do not have to hear.

Moreover, it also keeps your mind in focus.

Thus, it is actually great if you work on important project because it can be done efficiently

without damaging distraction.

The next thing that should be considered is creativity which is developed through deep

thought.

It is a perk that only introvert can access because their mind is usually empty and clean

from unnecessary information.

Introverts are actually so much better than extroverts considering the fact that they

can focus so much better.

Many tasks can be finished easily with organized multitask.

Typically, introverts will just work on priority mode, but it can be flexibly changed according

to the need.

They are really organized, and they make work seamless.

Additionally, introverts are also able in performing analysis through various information

in a given situation.

This allows introverts to be somewhat smarter than extroverts.

However, this actually makes them exhausted fairly easily.

They really have one mouth and two ears.

Introverts like to listen to others, and they only say things when needed.

There are so many people love approaching communicative introverts especially for discussing

something important.

Otherwise, the introverted person won't answer anything.

Lastly, introverts think before acting.

They do not want to offend other people and they also do not want to look stupid.

That is why they tend to be slow in responding or answering questions.

All in all, that's the "Why being introvert is much better than extrovert".

Hey everyone

Today's video is a "Plan With Me" for May

Before we start

I just wanted to let you guys know

that english is not my mother language

so I'm sorry for my pronunciation

spanish is my mother language

and i just wanted to start making videos in english

to practice it

because I don't have the opportunity to practice my speaking

i read and watch videos in english

but

again, I don't have anyone to practice it with

and in school I don't have english anymore

I've always felt really self-conscious about it

but

yeah

I don't know, I wanted to step out of my confort zone

and that's why I'm doing this

so if you have any tips or I made a mistake or anything

please let me know in the comments because I want to be better

at speaking

I want to feel more confident so

i'm going to have the captions in english

which I completely understand

again i don't feel like my pronunciation is the best

what i'm doing now is writing my

it was the important dates

the reason why I made like a line

in the middle

is because i'm still not sure if i'm going to keep doing

videos on a regular basis or not

so i just left it in case i want to write on the other side

and on the left side i'm just writing

my important dates, my exams, I have a lot of exams this week

as you can see im going to see Maroon 5

so yeah it's going to be a nice month

i spent a lot of time on my title spread, I don't know the name of this spread

I always spent a lot of time on it and I never like how it turns out

and again, this time I didn't like it

before I watched AmandaRachLee's video

I knew I wanted this month's main color to be lavander, lilac

the only thing I did got from her as inspiration was the little lavander flowers at the bottom

and as you can see I suck at drawing

I'm waiting for Amanda's video on how she made them

because it is really hard

or at least I don't know like the technique to like do them

I didn't like them that much

but what i did like was the titles

I made like little stars and moons on them with a white Gelly Roll

I also drew some stars and little dots on the page

that's something i've been doing a lot, in my last spreads i've done the same

so i guess now that's like a thing in my bullet journal

now what I'm doing is writing my goals

and I completely forgot to write them in english

it's a habit I guess to write them in spanish

and my goals for this month is to stop drinking soda, doing exercise

and I have a little tracker of my acne pills

just to make sure that i'm taking them everyday that I have to

and I also made a little expenses tracker thing

I always do these two things, i'm just really used to them and I really like them, they work for me so that's what I use

and yeah, that was everything that I did and

I also made like a little spread all of the things that I used

on that blank page

How To Make Thumbnails [Without Photoshop] for YouTube!!! - Duration: 6:52.

all right and welcome to the el emilio youtube channel i'm el Emilio and today

I'm gonna be showing you how to do an easy thumbnail without Photoshop now the

first step is you're gonna want to download VidIQ from the Chrome Web Store

I'll put a link down below to find that and what that does is it offers you a

ton of tools with the free version I don't work for the company I just

actually like using the plug-in and what it does once you download that is it

opens up all these different stats and stuff but the main thing that it does

besides doing a ton of other stuff is well I'm not exactly the main thing but

you know I mean a feature is it can create easy thumbnails by using your

footage so let's say you already have the video uploaded you go to your

settings page which mine will look a little different because it adds all

these extra features which I can do other videos on to show you but for this

one once you get downloaded you click on this create thumbnail and you can see I

already have one here which I did do with Photoshop and this is a video I did

at the grotto which is in Portland Oregon not really important but what you

do is you click on this create thumbnail this is going to be kind of

you can choose a frame and I got a time picked out let's see 7:37

we'll go so you find the spot where you like

okay this isn't the best clip but I kind of like this one here's why

so most of the time the information like the timestamp will be down here and on a

cell phone it's a lot there's less space so I like to do stuff to the left when

I'm making the thumbnail so in this program you choose the still and you can

kind of hone it in like that

okay my teeth are kind of sticking out

whatever we'll just choose any like that I usually like to have like an open

section like this and usually you're gonna want to have like something

interesting in the background so this one's not that great but I like to if

I'm doing like a vlog type thing I like to have a photo of me and then the

background which is just about trees but whatever you hit next

all right here you go so from here you can enter your text and this video is

called the grotto and something I noticed with this is it's better if you

do it as layers so one word at a time because this does allow you to do some

layering so I'll do like let's see we'll go big you can go 84 just always go big

you can change the color old there's a bunch of different fonts I guess I was

leave it on this one

okay and a border which is like the thickness which it'll make it pop when

people are looking so we'll do the

then you hit ad text there it is not I added color I like

some reason I like the color yellow or this one

so like that see the then maybe bold with a little bit more

of a border the border makes it pop cool now

I'd recommend doing like another layer

like that should still have your yellow saved the

border should still be the same left make it bold like that

the grotto kind of match it up and then here's some layering tools duplicate

that might actually be easier move back move forward and delete and then you

just line it up the grotto you can also add shapes

you can do other images if you want to have stuff but that might not work

unless it's like a PNG or something in the backgrounds gone shapes I don't

exactly know why you would do shapes I guess you could do a rectangle like if

you want to make it look more cinematic you can do black

really work well pretty much just use this to make a little

some now get it all lined up the grotto

not best but it definitely works and you can only go to 84 so not that bad if you

have a long title I'd only probably max out about four or

five words but yep then you hit next

and then it'll show you what it looks like youtube search Facebook Twitter it

these might align these better once they're uploaded but that's what it

looks like and this is just an easy way I don't

know if you're not Photoshop or any free program

Oh after that whole process you just hit set and then it'll add it and then if

you need to download it to your computer you hover over

the thumbnail you made and you go to download image and that'll save it to

your hard drive definitely get the vid IQ extension works really well and I

Creating an ocean - Part 3 of 4: Adding a boat wake - Duration: 11:46.

Hi there and welcome to the Maya Learning Channel.

Previously in this series, I showed you how to create ocean waves using BOSS.

In the next couple of videos, I'll show you how to add a boat wake to it.

As always, I'd like to give a quick shout out to Diego Trazzi,

on whose work these tutorials are based.

There are two kinds of wakes I can add to my ocean plane.

One uses the BOSS mesh itself to create a ripple foundation,

which is also good enough on its own for far away shots.

The other layers Bifrost particles on top of that, adding dynamic foam for close-ups.

In this video, I'll show you how to do the former and in the next we'll add the latter.

I'm going to start with the scene we created in part 2

by hiding the final result and showing the BossOutput plane again.

Next, I'm going to half the windspeed on my spectral waves to make them a little gentler.

No need to knock my boat around TOO much.

I'm also going to start generating my new results right from frame 1.

This isn't so important for this tutorial,

but will be in the next one since Bifrost particles start calculating as soon as you hit Play.

Finally, I'm going to up my frame count to 320,

since I'll need the extra frames for my boat animation.

Then I'll just re-cache the waves out.

There we go.

Now I'm ready for my boat, which I'll import from a pre-made file.

At first the boat is huge because, if you recall from part 1, Maya defaults to 1 unit = 1 cm.

Since BOSS assumes 1 unit = 1 m, I'll need to scale the boat down 100 times.

That's better.

Now, in order to create a wake the boat needs to be moving,

so I'll just animate it driving from one end of the plane to the other.

Obviously, this is a little rough.

For an actual production you'd want a much nicer boat

and to animate it bobbing up and down on the waves. But for the sake of a tutorial, this'll do.

Now that my scene is set up, I can start on the water.

The first thing I'm going to do is add a Wave Solver.

Unlike Spectral Solvers, which are great for simulating large scale ocean waves,

Wave Solvers are tuned specifically for doing more intimate, small scale ripple effects.

For good results, I'll need to increase the resolution

but not as much as the Spectral Waves.

10x the size of the ocean plane makes for a good balance of speed and fidelity.

Now I'll select the boat and add it as a geometry influence.

For all intents and purposes, this is a collider.

As a side note: because the boat is so simple, we're just going to use the mesh as is.

For more complex models, you'll want to consider using a low-res proxy object instead

or things could get a little slow.

Now if I play the animation, I should already see some results.

As you can see, the boat is already generating a wake.

If I select the GeoProperties node, I can even up the Amplitude to accentuate it more.

Alternatively, I could leave this at 1 and adjust the Wave Height in the Wave Solver instead.

Unlike the Spectral Waves, where I told you to avoid this value, here it's okay to play with.

Just note that this will affect ALL influences associated with that solver.

So if you had multiple boats with multiple wakes, they'd get scaled up too.

That looks a little intense, so I'm going to bump it back down to 1.5.

So this is all looking pretty good so far, but as I tumble around I'm noticing a problem:

the wake sometimes moves away from the boat!

This happens because the spectral waves are pushing the wake out from underneath it.

So how do I fix it? Well, I'm going to cheat a little.

Rather than combining the waves and wake together, then displacing the mesh,

I'm instead going to project the wake onto the displaced waves as a bump map.

This will ensure that the geometry is displaced first, before applying the wake.

To generate the projection,

I'm going to disable my spectral waves but leave the Wave Solver and Influence.

That turns my ocean into a flat plane, and as you can see the wake is now correct.

I'm not going to cache my solver yet, because I still want to make a few adjustments.

While I'm getting a really nice wake off the back of the boat (also known as a Kelvin wake),

I'm not getting much of anything at the front.

The problem is that the boat is moving too fast for the wake to keep up.

A quick jump to wireframe mode confirms that the wake is being generated inside the boat.

Of course, that's not helping anyone,

so I'm going to artificially push the bow wake forward.

Going back to my BossGeoProperties tab, this time I'm concerned with two values:

Generator Offset and Collider Offset.

As you might imagine, the Generator is responsible for generating actual ripples.

That's why they got bigger when we increased its Amplitude value earlier.

This time, I'll use the offset value to generate ripples ahead of the collider.

Let's try a value of 20.

Well, that worked. The bow wake is certainly LARGER than before,

but this is like, comically large.

With 20 units of space, the generator has too much room to ripple before hitting the boat.

But if I pull the generator too far back again, we'll get the same problem as before.

So the solution is to push the Collider forward too.

I don't want to push the Collider right up against the Generator though,

otherwise there won't be any space for the ripples. Values of 12 and 8 should be good.

There that's a much nicer, more natural looking bow wake.

Next, I'm going to adjust the Capillary setting.

Capillary waves are primarily driven by the effects of surface tension.

Functionally, they'll give us some nice secondary ripples.

And finally, like the Spectral Waves before, I'll add in some foam.

Now I'm ready to cache out the solver.

As usual, once the cache is complete you'll see it down here in the Cache Attributes.

And I'll just double-check the EXR files to make sure they're what I expect.

That looks right.

Great. Now that I have a usable cache, I can hide the BossOutput like before

and bring back the result plane.

Now I need to apply the wake.

Remember, I want to project the wake on top of the existing displacement map.

So to do that, I'm going to add it as a bump map,

down here in the shader's Geometry section.

Like before, I'm going to right-click and apply it as a projection.

Then I'll load the appropriate files as an image sequence.

Just make sure to take the main cache and not the foam (which I'll deal with in a second).

Now I'll turn it -90 degrees down, and scale it up 30 times.

And finally, because I don't want the wake to repeat, I'm going to turn off its Wrap attributes.

Great! Now if I render a random frame, I should be able to see the wake.

Hmm, I'm not seeing much at the moment.

Let me try strengthening the wake by turning up the Bump Depth value.

There it is!

And as you can see, it stays centered around the boat this time.

I think I'll make it just a bit more prominent.

Now to finish off, I need to add in my foam.

But you'll recall that I already have foam for the spectral waves as well.

I'll need to add these foams together, just like the spectral displacements before.

I'll start by temporarily disconnecting the current foam.

Then I'll add the new foam as a projection just like before.

This time I'll make sure to take the foam map.

I'll turn off Wrap.

And then rotate it down and scale it up.

So now that I have my wave foam and wake foam,

I can add them together using a colorMath node.

In this case, I want to use the Alpha to control the brightness of the white foam.

Then feed the result into the shader's Emission.

And there you have it! Now I have foam whitecaps over the wake.

If I prefer, I can adjust the prominence of the foam via the image's Alpha Gain.

And I can always Sequence Render it to see the animated result.

So that's it for my basic wake. Like I said before,

it's a good foundation that might even be enough for distant shots.

But in the next tutorial,

I'll show you how Bifrost particles can really improve the effect for close-ups.
