Okay, folks, don't be afraid. Nobody has beat me, everything is fine, it's just a little swelling of a jaw

It's because yesterday I removed the wisdom tooth. A year ago my dentist told me: Sasha, remove this tooth, because it's interfering all other teeth. Firstly it's rotting, secondly it's producing bad smell, thirdly it's resting on 7th tooth and its causing caries

And I has been preparing for this moment and yesterday I got enough bravery and went to remove this tooth

It was pretty hard, long and unpleasant removal, because my tooth was growing that way

Yes, it was growing not like normal human, it was growing sideways into another tooth

Overall, tooth has been removed, put 3 stitches and I got this swelling

Anyway, reviews got to be done and with this one I got late to the main party, when all other reviewers did a review on Pulse 80W with Vandy Vape chip long time ago

And today we're going to talk about it in details. So let's go into review. Intro....

And today our guest is Pulse BF 80W box mod by Vandy Vape and Tony B. Vapor Trail Channel. It's a youtube channel and Tony B. is reviewer

It's not the first their cooperation project, previously they made a mechanical box mod and several 22 and 24mm RDAs, and now they make a regulated box mod

Those of you, who is following the news from vaping world is remember a situation when Vandy Vape had some problems with VooPoo, which didn't ship their chips for this box mod

Because initially this box mod should've been driven by VooPoo chip - so called Gene chip

But guys from Vandy Vape has been developing their own chip for pretty long time and after this scandal Vandy Vape put their chip into this mod. It have pretty good specs, but it also have some cons

We are going to talk about it today. But first - let's dive down and disassemble, assemble it back, will take a look how this chip works and after this we'll discuss its pros and cons

Okay, friends. Let's take a look at this blue packaging, which is, I think, is retail version, but it have a sticker Sample and it says Standard version

On this side we have color mark, logos, inscriptions, kit content, main features, information about manufacturer

Under the cover we are met by the main content - the box mod itself and MicroUSB-USB cable for charging and for firmware upgrade

And on the bottom of the packaging we have a little bit of papers - User manual, warranty card and QC pass

As I understood, more versions will be available, with different kit content, which will include this bottle for filling squonk bottle

This is 30ml bottle, it have this unscrewable cover and 510 connection under it

Okay, we're done with kit content, let's get to the specs

This mod is made out of plastic and available in 6 colors of panels. Main body is always be Black

It can fit up to 25mm atomizers and can work with two types of batteries - 20700 and 18650 with adapter

Also this mod comes with a 7ml squonk bottle

This mod is driven by the Vandy Vape chip which can give up to 80W or 8.5V, minimal resistance is 0.05Ω in both Power and TC modes and TC mode is supports all popular wire materials

This mod featuring Bypass mode, VV mode, Pass-through mode, have presets function for Power and TC modes and can discharge your battery down to 3.3V

One of the nice features this chip have is firmware upgrade. Due to this feature Vandy Vape will be able to fix known problems and add some new features

Also this mod can be charged via MicroUSB with 1A current

Okay, friends. Let's get to the detailed look and as always we start from the top and in order, where we have a 510 metal connector, which is held by 2 screws

Also in the center we are able to see a gold-plated BF pin, which is slightly spring-loaded

On the side we have replaceable panel - in this case it's carbon fiber style

But other panels will be available as well, like these ones with color stains, for both sides

On the rear side we have a Vandy Vape logo, on this side we have control panel - fire button, the screen, +/- buttons and MicroUSB slot

On the bottom we have vent holes and certificates

Regarding this panels - I don't have any complaints about them - it doesn't play, rattle or falling off

It's held by 2 magnets pretty well - one magnet will be holding on the body, second will attach to the battery

But, friends, take a look at these magnets. These magnets can easily hold another mod, no problem. Here is 3 mods which is holding each other, it's falling off a bit, but they are holding

And all of this is off the table, so I can state - magnets are great

These panels are removable and replaceable. You can remove this panel and you can remove this panel from the other side

Also the kit includes 18650 adapter with gold-plated contact

And after the panels we are getting to a bottle. Let's take a closer look at it

This bottle is made by Vandy Vape specially for this box mod. Top cap is made out of plastic, the bottle itself is made out of silicone. Very nice and soft silicone

To get inside we need to unscrew top part with knurling and remove this silicone tube. I can say this bottle do its job great and holds vacuum. So if we press on it and clamp the tube - as you can see there is no siphon

So it's a good and convenient bottle. Don't forget, that when you fill silicone bottles, especially soft like this one, with every your clumsy move the liquid will leak out of this tube

In this case this moment is foreseen - when you fully filled this bottle you can grab it for this plastic part and put it inside of the box mod without any problems

But how all of it actually works we will see a little bit later. For now let's look on the insides of this mod

As you can see we have a slot for a bottle, which have a mark that it is for a bottle

Also we have engraving Pulse, Vandy chip and a slot for 20700*Note on the top - Mistake 20700, cuz it was said 21700* or 18650 with adapter

Also we have information regarding proper polarity

Okay, here's 20700 battery. Yes, in this box mod we don't have any ribbon to remove the battery, but on the reverse side under the panel we have a slot for pushing the battery out

18650 battery with adapter works the same. As you can see it holding great, it doesn't fall out, but when needed you can push it out

On this side we have 8 screws - 1 of them is protected by warranty sticker. Also we have inscription Tony B. project, manufactured by Vandy Vape

But if we remove this cover we will get access to the chip and to all wires and contacts

Pay attention on the wires and how thick they are, also on the connector we have 3 o-rings, which are inside of it, to prevent liquid getting inside of this casing

But anyway this doesn't protect us from liquid getting inside and I think here we should have some sort of plug or silicone seal

Friends, I won't be extracting this chip, I'll leave it to more advanced people, but I can say that you have access to it, so if if necessary you can get to the chip without any problems

So, I think it's time to insert the battery and take a closer look at the chip. And first thing we do - inserting the battery positive side down

After this box mod will automatically turn On, it's showing Vandy Vape logo and it's ready to work

On the screen we have standard information - it's Power mode, this is what P stands for, 80W is wattage

Resistance is 9.99Ω when you don't have atomizer on the mod

And voltage which is displayed by 000

Also we have battery life gauge

This chip have rich functional, so let's take a look at it

First thing we can do - press fire button 3 times. One two three. This will swap the mode. Now we're in Bypass mode

This is TC mode for SS

This is TC mode for Ni

TC mode for Ti

And we're back to Power mode

In this mode we can adjust wattage by +/- buttons with 1W increments

If we press and hold - button we can get to the lowest wattage, which is 5W

In TC mode you can adjust temp limit. If we go down to the minimal temperature limit of Fahrenheit value and click - button once more, we will get to adjustment of temperature limit in Celsius

If we click fire button 4 times...One two three four...We will be able to adjust wattage in TC mode

You can do extra stuff. If you simultaneously press and hold Fire and + button you can lock all buttons, including Fire button. It's slightly uncomfortable - I want it to lock just + and - buttons, because I can always turn the box mod Off with 5 clicks

It's equal to this lock

One two three four five. Let's turn the box mod On

And let's continue

If you simultaneously press and hold Fire and - button you can flip the screen. When you do this - +/- buttons remains the same - so the upper button is always + and lower is always -

Let's flip the screen back, it's much more comfortable for me this way

If we press all three buttons with turned On device we'll enable Stealth mode. In this mode box mod will continue to work, as you can see it showing that we need to check atomizer, but the screen will be automatically turned Off

We can disable Stealth mode the same way

But that's not all, we have sub-menu. We can get there by pressing + and - simultaneously. Press and hold and we're there

In this sub-menu we have DIY tab - 5 presets, from 1 to 5

After you selected it on the screen you will see that preset - in this case D2

If you press Fire Button 4 times in this mode....1234...We will get into Preset adjustments. And now we have temperature limit, because we're in TC mode

And by + and - buttons you can adjust these parameters

By pressing Fire button you can select the bar. Each bar is equal to 1 second of a puff up to 10 seconds

Hold Fire button to exit this Preset adjustment

Next. In sub-menu we also have option to adjust Resistance and option to more precise reading of it

But this works only in TC mode

Every time you screw down the atomizer, box mod will always ask you if this is New or Old coil. Press +, go into sub-menu and check what resistance do we have

0.120Ω. In here you can adjust this resistance

Next tab is TCR. TCR adjustment is for SS, since we're in TC mode for SS and here we can adjust this value

Next tab is ID - this is ID of your chip

And next tab is Ver - version of a firmware. In my case version is 0.0.2

But I know that 0.0.4 version is available. But I don't know anything about this version of firmware, where can I get it and what's changed in new firmware

And first tab is backwards arrow, which is for exiting from this sub-menu

Let's get back to Power mode. And here we have a different sub-menu. Here you can see a new tab with P ↹ V. This mode allow us to change Wattage to Voltage

Here you can adjust voltage with 0.1V increments up to 8.5V max and 0.5V min

As you can see scrolling is pretty fast for adjusting with 0.1V increments

There is no other tabs besides this, ID and Ver in sub-menu

Okay, we're done with chip, let's get to the size comparison with previous Pulse, which is mechanical squonk box

And new one is regulated. As you can see this mod is slightly higher compared to previous version. In terms of width they are about the same

So yeah. It's slightly lower, slightly thinner, but this is unregulated mechanical mod, and this one is regulated, Vandy Vape added the chip, so the size has increased

Anyway, this mod still have a nice grip and it's compact. So let's continue and fill the bottle

Regarding bottle capacity. Vandy Vape claims on their site that capacity is 8ml, but it's theoretical. Actual capacity of this bottle is 7ml

So when you fill it - don't fill it above this edge. Otherwise you will overfill and it'll leak when you will install that tube back

This plastic part is very convenient - when you grab it and screw down the top cap - as you can see nothing has leaked out

Also it's very convenient, due to this plastic part, to install the bottle inside. Push there a little bit and everything is done.

Bottle is working good, liquid is flowing and excess liquid is sucked back it

It's only left to swap the battery to the charged one. We will be using 18650 and now we can get back to face-time and talk about pros and cons of this box mod

And vape a bit

And you know, friends, I didn't find any cons regarding quality of manufacturing, quality of assembly, buttons or panels

My main complaints is about the chip

Let's talk about it. And first thing I don't like is lack of locking + and - buttons, because locking is working for all three buttons

So I strongly recommend to Vandy Vape to change this Locking system. Make it lock only + and - buttons and leave Fire button working

Because we can turn the box mod Off and it'll be equal to the Locking system we have now

Next. This chip is slightly overestimates wattage - I can feel it and according to the tests of DJLsb. You should know this YouTube vape reviewer - he's doing in-depth tests of chips

I saw his review, saw the tests and I can confidently say that chip is overestimates wattage.

Anyway, DJLsb compared this chip with VooPoo chip and results are pretty interesting. VooPoo chip is overestimates wattage values even more

So this chip is working better than VooPoo chip. And it's good, I guess

Anyway, I want this Vandy Vape chip to work more correctly, so when we set 80W, we knew that we get 80W

Also this chip have issues in TC mode. In TC mode it burns the cotton, but I think guys can fix that problem by firmware upgrade

And I'll repeat - I have 0.0.2 firmware version and there is 0.0.4 version out there. And next con will be connected with it

Sadly, I didn't find firmware upgrade 0.0.4 at Vandy vape site, at the moment of this review,

There is no software, there is no firmware download section at the site. It's kinda there, but guys didn't implemented it yet and didn't gave us opportunity to upgrade the firmware

And last thing I want to discuss and give a recommendation to Vandy Vape - make a charge via MicroUSB by 2A current, because right now it's only 1A

You know, for a first try - it's good. All issues that I found in the chip is, probably, possible to fix by the firmware upgrade

So I will wait this project evolution anyway, because I have some plans to do a box mod with Vandy Vape

Anyway, let's talk about pros

First pro to this box mod I'll give for quality of assembly. Panels isn't playing, buttons have a nice click and doesn't rattle or clanking

This box mod is like a plastic monolith in your hands

Next pro I'll give for a chip. It's familiar chip with convenient controls, it supports 0.05Ω resistance and it have firmware upgrade feature, though it's not yet implemented for regular users

It was nice to see that guys implemented VV mode and a lot of other nice stuff. So it's a pro for a chip. I'm sure that this chip will be better in the future

Next pro to this chip I'll give for fast Fire button response. According to DJLsb tests - he tested the speed of response in Vandy Vape chip and in VooPoo chip. And in that test Vandy Chip is winning a bit

Response time of Vandy Chip is 0.44ms and VooPoo chip is 0.55ms. So it's like 10ms of a difference, but it's nice

Next pro goes for supporting two types of batteries. 20700 and 18650. It's versatility and it's good

Another pro goes for convenient, nice and 7ml capacity bottle. This bottle is well made, it sits in its slot perfectly and it doesn't siphon

Next pro goes for fitting large diameter atomizers - up to 25mm and I think it's enough

And last pro I'll give for compact size. This box mod isn't the most compact regulated squonk mod out there, there is more compact mods, but this mod have a nice grip and I think many of you will like the size of this box mod

Overall, let's summarize. This is great device, with great chip, which will get better with time. But you should know that this is plastic box mod, so if you don't like light-weight devices - this box mod is not for you for sure

Look for something that is made out of metal

I think Vandy Vape didn't lose anything by using their own chip. It'll be cheaper and better for them. Also don't forget, that there is another version of Pulse kit, which includes this bottle for filling squonk bottle. It's convenient, good and it's a nice to have it in a kit

And the price of this kit with the bottle is 55$ on the web. I think it's great price for this kind of box mod with a kit like this

Great device with affordable price. And It's good

On this side we have 8 screws - 1 of them is protected by warranty sticker. Also we have inscription Tony B. project, manufactured by Vandy Vape

But if we remove this cover we will get access to the chip and to all wires and contacts

Pay attention on the wires and how thick they are, also on the connector we have 3 o-rings, which are inside of it, to prevent liquid getting inside of this casing

But anyway this doesn't protect us from liquid getting inside and I think here we should have some sort of plug or silicone seal

Friends, I won't be extracting this chip, I'll leave it to more advanced people, but I can say that you have access to it, so if if necessary you can get to the chip without any problems

So, I think it's time to insert the battery and take a closer look at the chip. And first thing we do - inserting the battery positive side down

After this box mod will automatically turn On, it's showing Vandy Vape logo and it's ready to work

On the screen we have standard information - it's Power mode, this is what P stands for, 80W is wattage

Resistance is 9.99Ω when you don't have atomizer on the mod

And voltage which is displayed by 000

Also we have battery life gauge

This chip have rich functional, so let's take a look at it

First thing we can do - press fire button 3 times. One two three. This will swap the mode. Now we're in Bypass mode

And we're back to Power mode

In this mode we can adjust wattage by +/- buttons with 1W increments

If we press and hold - button we can get to the lowest wattage, which is 5W

In TC mode you can adjust temp limit. If we go down to the minimal temperature limit of Fahrenheit value and click - button once more, we will get to adjustment of temperature limit in Celsius

If we click fire button 4 times...One two three four...We will be able to adjust wattage in TC mode

You can do extra stuff. If you simultaneously press and hold Fire and + button you can lock all buttons, including Fire button. It's slightly uncomfortable - I want it to lock just + and - buttons, because I can always turn the box mod Off with 5 clicks

It's equal to this lock

One two three four five. Let's turn the box mod On

And let's continue

If you simultaneously press and hold Fire and - button you can flip the screen. When you do this - +/- buttons remains the same - so the upper button is always + and lower is always -

Let's flip the screen back, it's much more comfortable for me this way

If we press all three buttons with turned On device we'll enable Stealth mode. In this mode box mod will continue to work, as you can see it showing that we need to check atomizer, but the screen will be automatically turned Off

We can disable Stealth mode the same way

But that's not all, we have sub-menu. We can get there by pressing + and - simultaneously. Press and hold and we're there

In this sub-menu we have DIY tab - 5 presets, from 1 to 5

After you selected it on the screen you will see that preset - in this case D2

If you press Fire Button 4 times in this mode....1234...We will get into Preset adjustments. And now we have temperature limit, because we're in TC mode

And by + and - buttons you can adjust these parameters

By pressing Fire button you can select the bar. Each bar is equal to 1 second of a puff up to 10 seconds

Hold Fire button to exit this Preset adjustment

Next. In sub-menu we also have option to adjust Resistance and option to more precise reading of it

But this works only in TC mode

Every time you screw down the atomizer, box mod will always ask you if this is New or Old coil. Press +, go into sub-menu and check what resistance do we have

0.120Ω. In here you can adjust this resistance

Next tab is TCR. TCR adjustment is for SS, since we're in TC mode for SS and here we can adjust this value

Next tab is ID - this is ID of your chip

And next tab is Ver - version of a firmware. In my case version is 0.0.2

But I know that 0.0.4 version is available. But I don't know anything about this version of firmware, where can I get it and what's changed in new firmware

And first tab is backwards arrow, which is for exiting from this sub-menu

Let's get back to Power mode. And here we have a different sub-menu. Here you can see a new tab with P ↹ V. This mode allow us to change Wattage to Voltage

Here you can adjust voltage with 0.1V increments up to 8.5V max and 0.5V min

As you can see scrolling is pretty fast for adjusting with 0.1V increments

There is no other tabs besides this, ID and Ver in sub-menu

Okay, we're done with chip, let's get to the size comparison with previous Pulse, which is mechanical squonk box

And new one is regulated. As you can see this mod is slightly higher compared to previous version. In terms of width they are about the same

So yeah. It's slightly lower, slightly thinner, but this is unregulated mechanical mod, and this one is regulated, Vandy Vape added the chip, so the size has increased

Anyway, this mod still have a nice grip and it's compact. So let's continue and fill the bottle

Regarding bottle capacity. Vandy Vape claims on their site that capacity is 8ml, but it's theoretical. Actual capacity of this bottle is 7ml

So when you fill it - don't fill it above this edge. Otherwise you will overfill and it'll leak when you will install that tube back

This plastic part is very convenient - when you grab it and screw down the top cap - as you can see nothing has leaked out

Also it's very convenient, due to this plastic part, to install the bottle inside. Push there a little bit and everything is done.

Bottle is working good, liquid is flowing and excess liquid is sucked back it

It's only left to swap the battery to the charged one. We will be using 18650 and now we can get back to face-time and talk about pros and cons of this box mod

And vape a bit

And you know, friends, I didn't find any cons regarding quality of manufacturing, quality of assembly, buttons or panels

My main complaints is about the chip

Let's talk about it. And first thing I don't like is lack of locking + and - buttons, because locking is working for all three buttons

So I strongly recommend to Vandy Vape to change this Locking system. Make it lock only + and - buttons and leave Fire button working

Because we can turn the box mod Off and it'll be equal to the Locking system we have now

Next. This chip is slightly overestimates wattage - I can feel it and according to the tests of DJLsb. You should know this YouTube vape reviewer - he's doing in-depth tests of chips

I saw his review, saw the tests and I can confidently say that chip is overestimates wattage.

Anyway, DJLsb compared this chip with VooPoo chip and results are pretty interesting. VooPoo chip is overestimates wattage values even more

So this chip is working better than VooPoo chip. And it's good, I guess

Anyway, I want this Vandy Vape chip to work more correctly, so when we set 80W, we knew that we get 80W

Also this chip have issues in TC mode. In TC mode it burns the cotton, but I think guys can fix that problem by firmware upgrade

And I'll repeat - I have 0.0.2 firmware version and there is 0.0.4 version out there. And next con will be connected with it

Sadly, I didn't find firmware upgrade 0.0.4 at Vandy vape site, at the moment of this review,

There is no software, there is no firmware download section at the site. It's kinda there, but guys didn't implemented it yet and didn't gave us opportunity to upgrade the firmware

And last thing I want to discuss and give a recommendation to Vandy Vape - make a charge via MicroUSB by 2A current, because right now it's only 1A

You know, for a first try - it's good. All issues that I found in the chip is, probably, possible to fix by the firmware upgrade

So I will wait this project evolution anyway, because I have some plans to do a box mod with Vandy Vape

Anyway, let's talk about pros

First pro to this box mod I'll give for quality of assembly. Panels isn't playing, buttons have a nice click and doesn't rattle or clanking

This box mod is like a plastic monolith in your hands

Next pro I'll give for a chip. It's familiar chip with convenient controls, it supports 0.05Ω resistance and it have firmware upgrade feature, though it's not yet implemented for regular users

It was nice to see that guys implemented VV mode and a lot of other nice stuff. So it's a pro for a chip. I'm sure that this chip will be better in the future

Next pro to this chip I'll give for fast Fire button response. According to DJLsb tests - he tested the speed of response in Vandy Vape chip and in VooPoo chip. And in that test Vandy Chip is winning a bit

Response time of Vandy Chip is 0.44ms and VooPoo chip is 0.55ms. So it's like 10ms of a difference, but it's nice

Next pro goes for supporting two types of batteries. 20700 and 18650. It's versatility and it's good

Another pro goes for convenient, nice and 7ml capacity bottle. This bottle is well made, it sits in its slot perfectly and it doesn't siphon

Next pro goes for fitting large diameter atomizers - up to 25mm and I think it's enough

And last pro I'll give for compact size. This box mod isn't the most compact regulated squonk mod out there, there is more compact mods, but this mod have a nice grip and I think many of you will like the size of this box mod

Overall, let's summarize. This is great device, with great chip, which will get better with time. But you should know that this is plastic box mod, so if you don't like light-weight devices - this box mod is not for you for sure

Look for something that is made out of metal

I think Vandy Vape didn't lose anything by using their own chip. It'll be cheaper and better for them. Also don't forget, that there is another version of Pulse kit, which includes this bottle for filling squonk bottle. It's convenient, good and it's a nice to have it in a kit

And the price of this kit with the bottle is 55$ on the web. I think it's great price for this kind of box mod with a kit like this

Great device with affordable price. And It's good

The first object I designed and made myself

was the guitar I made when I was 14 years old.

My name is Peter Balko.

My job is Creative Interior Design Manager at Mercedes-Benz.

Coming from my interests in music and arts

I'm always looking for harmony in shapes and forms.

For the new A-Class interior,

I developed with my designers the design of the dashboard,

the doors,

the middle tunnel and the seats.

My favourite feature in the A-Class interior is the air vent.

The appearance reminds me of an aircraft turbine engine.

Good design always includes a human part in it.

This could be, for example, the door handle in the car.

Or it is the shape of the guitar

that is comfortably lying on your knees.

I think between interior designers and musicians

there are a lot of links in between.

You have the composition,

you have the harmony.

You try to create a special character,

a special style of a music or a special style of an interior.

I think building this first guitar is definitely one of the reasons,

why I became a car designer.

And today our guest is Pulse BF 80W box mod by Vandy Vape and Tony B. Vapor Trail Channel. It's a youtube channel and Tony B. is reviewer

It's not the first their cooperation project, previously they made a mechanical box mod and several 22 and 24mm RDAs, and now they make a regulated box mod

Those of you, who is following the news from vaping world is remember a situation when Vandy Vape had some problems with VooPoo, which didn't ship their chips for this box mod

Because initially this box mod should've been driven by VooPoo chip - so called Gene chip

But guys from Vandy Vape has been developing their own chip for pretty long time and after this scandal Vandy Vape put their chip into this mod. It have pretty good specs, but it also have some cons

We are going to talk about it today. But first - let's dive down and disassemble, assemble it back, will take a look how this chip works and after this we'll discuss its pros and cons

Okay, friends. Let's take a look at this blue packaging, which is, I think, is retail version, but it have a sticker Sample and it says Standard version

On this side we have color mark, logos, inscriptions, kit content, main features, information about manufacturer

Under the cover we are met by the main content - the box mod itself and MicroUSB-USB cable for charging and for firmware upgrade

And on the bottom of the packaging we have a little bit of papers - User manual, warranty card and QC pass

As I understood, more versions will be available, with different kit content, which will include this bottle for filling squonk bottle

This is 30ml bottle, it have this unscrewable cover and 510 connection under it

Okay, we're done with kit content, let's get to the specs

This mod is made out of plastic and available in 6 colors of panels. Main body is always be Black

It can fit up to 25mm atomizers and can work with two types of batteries - 20700 and 18650 with adapter

Also this mod comes with a 7ml squonk bottle

This mod is driven by the Vandy Vape chip which can give up to 80W or 8.5V, minimal resistance is 0.05Ω in both Power and TC modes and TC mode is supports all popular wire materials

This mod featuring Bypass mode, VV mode, Pass-through mode, have presets function for Power and TC modes and can discharge your battery down to 3.3V

One of the nice features this chip have is firmware upgrade. Due to this feature Vandy Vape will be able to fix known problems and add some new features

Also this mod can be charged via MicroUSB with 1A current

Okay, friends. Let's get to the detailed look and as always we start from the top and in order, where we have a 510 metal connector, which is held by 2 screws

Also in the center we are able to see a gold-plated BF pin, which is slightly spring-loaded

On the side we have replaceable panel - in this case it's carbon fiber style

But other panels will be available as well, like these ones with color stains, for both sides

On the rear side we have a Vandy Vape logo, on this side we have control panel - fire button, the screen, +/- buttons and MicroUSB slot

On the bottom we have vent holes and certificates

Regarding this panels - I don't have any complaints about them - it doesn't play, rattle or falling off

It's held by 2 magnets pretty well - one magnet will be holding on the body, second will attach to the battery

But, friends, take a look at these magnets. These magnets can easily hold another mod, no problem. Here is 3 mods which is holding each other, it's falling off a bit, but they are holding

And all of this is off the table, so I can state - magnets are great

These panels are removable and replaceable. You can remove this panel and you can remove this panel from the other side

Also the kit includes 18650 adapter with gold-plated contact

And after the panels we are getting to a bottle. Let's take a closer look at it

This bottle is made by Vandy Vape specially for this box mod. Top cap is made out of plastic, the bottle itself is made out of silicone. Very nice and soft silicone

To get inside we need to unscrew top part with knurling and remove this silicone tube. I can say this bottle do its job great and holds vacuum. So if we press on it and clamp the tube - as you can see there is no siphon

So it's a good and convenient bottle. Don't forget, that when you fill silicone bottles, especially soft like this one, with every your clumsy move the liquid will leak out of this tube

In this case this moment is foreseen - when you fully filled this bottle you can grab it for this plastic part and put it inside of the box mod without any problems

But how all of it actually works we will see a little bit later. For now let's look on the insides of this mod

As you can see we have a slot for a bottle, which have a mark that it is for a bottle

Also we have engraving Pulse, Vandy chip and a slot for 20700*Note on the top - Mistake 20700, cuz it was said 21700* or 18650 with adapter

Also we have information regarding proper polarity

Okay, here's 20700 battery. Yes, in this box mod we don't have any ribbon to remove the battery, but on the reverse side under the panel we have a slot for pushing the battery out

18650 battery with adapter works the same. As you can see it holding great, it doesn't fall out, but when needed you can push it out

Regarding bottle capacity. Vandy Vape claims on their site that capacity is 8ml, but it's theoretical. Actual capacity of this bottle is 7ml

So when you fill it - don't fill it above this edge. Otherwise you will overfill and it'll leak when you will install that tube back

This plastic part is very convenient - when you grab it and screw down the top cap - as you can see nothing has leaked out

Also it's very convenient, due to this plastic part, to install the bottle inside. Push there a little bit and everything is done.

Bottle is working good, liquid is flowing and excess liquid is sucked back it

It's only left to swap the battery to the charged one. We will be using 18650 and now we can get back to face-time and talk about pros and cons of this box mod

And vape a bit

And you know, friends, I didn't find any cons regarding quality of manufacturing, quality of assembly, buttons or panels

My main complaints is about the chip

Let's talk about it. And first thing I don't like is lack of locking + and - buttons, because locking is working for all three buttons

So I strongly recommend to Vandy Vape to change this Locking system. Make it lock only + and - buttons and leave Fire button working

Because we can turn the box mod Off and it'll be equal to the Locking system we have now

Next. This chip is slightly overestimates wattage - I can feel it and according to the tests of DJLsb. You should know this YouTube vape reviewer - he's doing in-depth tests of chips

I saw his review, saw the tests and I can confidently say that chip is overestimates wattage.

Anyway, DJLsb compared this chip with VooPoo chip and results are pretty interesting. VooPoo chip is overestimates wattage values even more

So this chip is working better than VooPoo chip. And it's good, I guess

Anyway, I want this Vandy Vape chip to work more correctly, so when we set 80W, we knew that we get 80W

Also this chip have issues in TC mode. In TC mode it burns the cotton, but I think guys can fix that problem by firmware upgrade

And I'll repeat - I have 0.0.2 firmware version and there is 0.0.4 version out there. And next con will be connected with it

Sadly, I didn't find firmware upgrade 0.0.4 at Vandy vape site, at the moment of this review,

There is no software, there is no firmware download section at the site. It's kinda there, but guys didn't implemented it yet and didn't gave us opportunity to upgrade the firmware

And last thing I want to discuss and give a recommendation to Vandy Vape - make a charge via MicroUSB by 2A current, because right now it's only 1A

You know, for a first try - it's good. All issues that I found in the chip is, probably, possible to fix by the firmware upgrade

So I will wait this project evolution anyway, because I have some plans to do a box mod with Vandy Vape

Anyway, let's talk about pros

First pro to this box mod I'll give for quality of assembly. Panels isn't playing, buttons have a nice click and doesn't rattle or clanking

This box mod is like a plastic monolith in your hands

Next pro I'll give for a chip. It's familiar chip with convenient controls, it supports 0.05Ω resistance and it have firmware upgrade feature, though it's not yet implemented for regular users

It was nice to see that guys implemented VV mode and a lot of other nice stuff. So it's a pro for a chip. I'm sure that this chip will be better in the future

Next pro to this chip I'll give for fast Fire button response. According to DJLsb tests - he tested the speed of response in Vandy Vape chip and in VooPoo chip. And in that test Vandy Chip is winning a bit

Response time of Vandy Chip is 0.44ms and VooPoo chip is 0.55ms. So it's like 10ms of a difference, but it's nice

Next pro goes for supporting two types of batteries. 20700 and 18650. It's versatility and it's good

Another pro goes for convenient, nice and 7ml capacity bottle. This bottle is well made, it sits in its slot perfectly and it doesn't siphon

Next pro goes for fitting large diameter atomizers - up to 25mm and I think it's enough

And last pro I'll give for compact size. This box mod isn't the most compact regulated squonk mod out there, there is more compact mods, but this mod have a nice grip and I think many of you will like the size of this box mod

Overall, let's summarize. This is great device, with great chip, which will get better with time. But you should know that this is plastic box mod, so if you don't like light-weight devices - this box mod is not for you for sure

Look for something that is made out of metal

I think Vandy Vape didn't lose anything by using their own chip. It'll be cheaper and better for them. Also don't forget, that there is another version of Pulse kit, which includes this bottle for filling squonk bottle. It's convenient, good and it's a nice to have it in a kit

And the price of this kit with the bottle is 55$ on the web. I think it's great price for this kind of box mod with a kit like this

Great device with affordable price. And It's good

Hi guys, I'm Matt Ruddle and i'm going to share with you three simple secrets to

networking success. Now, I've networked for I don't know, it

must be ten plus years in different networking environments from BNI to

4 Networking to smaller regional groups as well so I've picked up a thing or two,

plus I know a person or two in the networking world so I've picked their

brains. The first thing is clarity of your message. We all know that when

you go to a typical networking meeting, your having your breakfast, your lunch,

your dinner ,whatever it is but then you stand up and you say you're 40 seconds

or you're 60 seconds to the room. I've heard some atrocious ones in the past,

I've probably delivered some atrocious ones in the past, but the ones that are

successful are the ones that have a clarity of message. The ones that use

their time really wisely and you go "I know exactly what they do." So you've got

to have that clarity of message. The next thing is the follow-up. It's the biggest

thing people fall down on and they always say 'fortune's in the follow-up' yet

they don't follow up. Come on guys! All you need to do is have a simple system

in place (like InTouch) where you can set up your follow-up straightaway, so as

soon as you've picked up those business cards and that permission to communicate

with those people you can then put them into a sequences- "hey thanks for your

time today, great to meet you,

here's a little bit more about myself on my business and how I can help you." So

you do those follow-ups. You don't just have to send them emails, emails is

a great way because you can send it and it goes and you can get the results but

create tasks for yourself as well. Tasks for you to pick up the phone and speak

to them a few days later or a few weeks later because at the end of the day, it's

human interaction, people buy from people and that's what networking is about, it's

about creating that trust so that you know who you're buying from and what

you're actually doing. The third thing is be disciplined and this actually goes

with the whole point of the follow-up as well because what a lot of people will

do is they'll send that one-off email, they'll send that one-off text message,

they'll make that one-off call. "Thanks for meeting me today,

thanks for your business card, thanks for this, do you want to buy from me?" "No. Not

at the moment, I've only just met you." "Okay, thanks, goodbye." And that's it. Gone.

And I've met so many people in networking like that, where they've

literally come to a meeting, we've had that one interaction, that one follow-up

and I've never spoken to them again. Who knows, in six months time I might need

their services but I've forgotten about them now. So be persistent and be

disciplined in what you're actually doing. So make sure that your follow-up

doesn't end after that first one. Most people say the sales happen

after the seventh interaction okay? And that doesn't mean that you have to speak

to them in seven consecutive days in order to start getting somewhere.

Spread it out, give them some time, give them some information, educate them, meet

them again at networking events and again follow up with them. So those are

my three tips. So make sure you have clarity of message, make sure you do

actually follow up and be disciplined in your whole process as well and you'll

get business success through your networking and it won't be a waste of

time I promise you.
