Youtube daily report w May 26 2018

In 1994, it cost around $2.49 to buy a 20-ounce box of Oreo cookies.

In 2014, it cost around $4.49 to buy a 14 ounce box of Oreo cookies.

Manufacturing one box of Oreo cookies hasn't necessarily gone up, but the rate of inflation

has, making a smaller box cost nearly twice as much as a larger box did twenty years prior.

But video games are a different story.

Though the cost of developing them has risen considerably over that same period, the retail

price has not, and in some cases, it's even dropped.

Why is that?

That's the mystery we intend to solve, in this episode of The Infographics Show: Why

hasn't the price of video games changed?

The first example of a game machine was unveiled by Dr. Edward Uhler Condon, at the New York

World's Fair, in 1940.

The mathematical game was played by roughly 50,000 people, with the computer reportedly

winning more than 90 percent of the games.

The first game system designed for commercial home use was in the late 1960's, when Ralph

Baer and his team released his prototype, the Brown Box, a vacuum tube-circuit that

could be connected to a television set allowing two users to control cubes that chased each

other on the screen.

But it wasn't until the 1970's that games became mainstream, when the first commercial

arcade video game, Computer Space by Nutting Associates, was introduced.

And in the same decade, Atari introduced Pong to the arcades.

A game that many who were born in Generation X will remember fondly, Pong is a table tennis

sports game, with simple two-dimensional graphics.

And it quickly grew in popularity.

It was the first commercially successful video game, and it helped to establish the video

game industry along with the first home console, the Magnavox Odyssey.

Soon after its release, several companies began producing games that copied the layout

of Pong's gameplay, and went on to release new types of games.

But back in 1976, of course, things were quite different and gaming was simple.

Pong was the height of at-home multiplayer gaming, with only two dials, one button, and

a switch.

And new, it cost nearly $100, which is enough to buy an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii by today's

dollars!

So what about the modern gaming era and the prices people pay to play?

The 1990's were a decade of innovation in video gaming.

A transition from sprite-based graphics to full-fledged 3D graphics.

It gave rise to several genres of video games including the first person shooter, real-time

strategy, survival horror, and massively multiplayer online, or MMO.

Consoles went from 4th to 5th to 6th generation, CD-ROM technology was born, with the Nintendo

64 being the last major home video game console to use ROM cartridges, and game controllers

took on a new look with the Super NES controller introducing a more rounded dog-bone like design

and adding two more face buttons, "X" and "Y", arranged in a diamond formation.

Games such as Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario 64, Doom,

Resident Evil, Starcraft, and dozens more were released.

And how much did the 90's games cost?

Well, Super Mario 3 cost $94.40, Mortal Kombat for Super Nintendo, was priced at $119.55,

Street Fighter 2 was a cool $123.13, a big chunk of cash for a 90's gamer.

Those prices should have continued to rise, but that's not what happened.

The price eventually dropped to $60.

We couldn't work out exactly when this was but the online opinion of gamers says that

it was sometime in the 90's, and $60 is where it has stayed.

And with rising development costs and inflation, how and why has the price not shifted?

Kate Cox from The Consumerist, a non-profit consumer affairs website, detailed some of

the practices that have become standard with video games sales, in recent years.

She explained that the reason most retailers in the US charge $59.99 for a new video game

on release week, is because it's a price point that comes from the publisher, and all the

retailers that sell the new product agree to abide by it.

Stores that choose not to abide by this price quickly find themselves out of favor with

the publisher, risking future shipments.

So if Big Game Store is keen on getting players in the door, they won't drop below the publisher's

guidance.

And gaming media website Gamerant concluded that all the AAA publishers set their game

price at $60 as it's a guaranteed method of leveling the playing field.

Publishers set the minimum price of $60 because it guarantees their cut will be substantial

enough to support them, with more being made from extras such as collector's editions,

DLC, and microtransactions.

Unfortunately the model may not be as lucrative for retail, and stores often take a hit on

stocking new games, which is part of the reason used game stores don't offer much cash for

used games, yet still on-sell them at a much higher price.

So where exactly does this $60 go to?

According to Alex Pham in an article for the Los Angeles Times in 2010, that sixty dollar

price is broken down as follows: $27 goes to the publisher; $15 to the retailer; $7

to returns, which are games that don't sell and are sent back; $7 is a platform royalty

which is paid to Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo; and $4 to production and distribution.

You might have noticed that there's no mention of the developer...well, that's because

in most cases the developer has already been paid.

And to talk about developing video games for a minute, you would think that a game that

is more expensive to make, should be more expensive to buy.

Well, that's just not the case.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, cost two hundred million dollars to make, whereas Gears of

War, only cost ten million to make.

Surprise, surprise, they'll sell for $60 and generate $27 of profit per sale.

Will video games stay $60 and below forever?

No one knows for sure, and we found there is a lot of debate from gamers on Reddit and

Quora as to when things might change.

Maybe you have your own opinion on why this $60 price tag has lasted so long.

Barbie Bungee Jump Project (Algebra) - Duration: 4:03.

Hello Sassy Sasquatches!

Today, we are going to test our Barbie Bungee Jump!

Say hello.

Barbie: Hi.

So, first. We are going to drop her from...

This place...

And we are using centimeters. Correct?

We are using one rubber band.

Let's see...

She is going to break her neck... I am pretty sure about that.

3, 2, 1, BOOM!

Okay! She crashed her head!

On da ruler :OO

Congratulations xDD

She have died :)

Aww. Poor Barbie. She died :)

*someone talking from somewhere else*

Ok, so how many centimeter is that?

Mr. R: Inches.

Or how many inches is that?

Mr. R: 25.

That is about 25 inches!

Yay Barbie! You did not die!!

Mr. R: So now we are doing 2.

OMG Me es surprised!

So now, let's do it...

Using 2 rubber bands!

Let's see what happens...

Random Person: Ready, steady,

Ready, steady,

GO!!!

*crashes and dies*

Again, she crashed her head D:

Very badly...

Mr. R: *laughs*

Dat's aaa...

Very sad...

Um... Moment.

Poor Barbie, I feel very bad for her ;p;

So that is about 18 inches!

From top.

Alright, now we are testing 3 rubber bands :D

Let's see what happens when we do with 3 rubber bands :)

Yaaaaaaay!

Go Barbie!

3, 2, 1,

GO!!!

*random people screaming and fighting for the Holy Sasquatch Barbie*

I'm pretty sure she hit her head again and she have died.

So Sassy Sasquatches,

This is what she got this time.

How many inches is that?

Mr. R: That's 21

I'm pretty sure that is 21 inches :D

Alright Sassy Sasquatches,

Now we are testing 4 rubber bands!!

O.M.G, FOOR RUBER BANS

*random screams again*

3, 2, 1, GO!

Random Person: It's a... Ah...

So... Here is a fact that everyone knows.

Sasquatches loves apples and drums :D

And you should also know that!

Because.. it is very important to know how Sasquatch lives.

Random Person: *talks in Martian*

So, when you see a Sasquatch, give them 3 apples and a drum.

Mr. R: That was about 25

Mr. R: ...inches

Mr. R: Well that's not...

Alright.

Mr. R: She dropped to 25 inches idk

Alrighty our last drop :D

5 rubber bands :O

I am pretty sure that she will...

NOT

SURVIVE.

I am very confident.

Random Person: STOP IT!

3, 2, 1

Random Person: AHHHHH!!

GO!!

OMG she did not hit da ground :OOO

Holy...

SASQUATCHES!!

Holy Sasquatches she didn't hit the ground!!!

O-M-G

Mr. R: That was about 20 inches.. from her drop.

Okay!

Now let's try 1 rubber band again because

We started from 99 inches.. 39 inches I meant

*random screams from Sasquatches behind me D:*

3, 2, 1,

GO!

*random screams again*

Random Person: That means I have INFORMATION :OOOOO

Mr. R: About 15...

Random Person: Alrighty!

Alright.

*random noises*

So...

Mr. R: So I think our prediction...

SASSY SASQUATCHES!

Thank you for watching our video...

And please support our blog :)

#20 Plutão, o planeta-anão! - Duration: 6:21.

hello everybody I'm the Étore this is mine The channel the people ask to talk about

Then let's talk about the dwarf planet, sit here and we'll talk about

considered to be on the planet of the solar system but something happened

with this planet he was demoted, but not only

international astronomical debate Eris is planet others said

dwarf planet, remembering that classification is not random planets

dwarfs has distinct characteristics of planets and pluto is a dwarf planet

as well as Ceres, Eris, Haumea and Makemake. Pluto is smaller than our moon.

plutonian sky is blue possesses mountains and there is also snow there

but the snow is red. these details unknown until before the mission New

ranging from minus 238 degrees celsius to light takes eight minutes to reach the

Earth on Pluto it takes about 5.5 hours

ie the distance in light years from the Sun until Pluto is 5.5 light-hours at

Pluto, when it is only in his line of the equator that is when it

shines most of the planet - is not equal to our sunset on earth or be the

astro-king shines 900 times less than on here

from 1979 to 1999 Pluto experienced the its newest perihelion than its position

in the closest orbit of the sun more near the sun means that it is more

illuminated but not enough to to be seen from the earth with the naked eye, today Pluto

presents a magnitude of 14.21 difficult to be observed even by

telescopes we would need large telescopes to see it

Pluto can not be a planet he owns an entirely different orbit from the

too steeply inclined than ever when it decides to invade another

orbit the orbit of Neptune as the sun is seen at the button for this let's talk

about apparent diameter is the degrees of the angle of an observed star

by an observer is this circle a star

we have drawn two straight lines since end until observer the angle

formed is what we call diameter apparent the sun and Pluto is a star of

magnitude - 19 the apparent diameter is about a minute bow on the ground is

about 31 minutes of arc Talking about two shifts wins

of the land has five of them all orbiting majestically around his

small star the largest moon of pluto caronte has about half of the

no planet together they have a unique movement

So, as opens double planet double quotes

four and two on duty are minor and all irregular Nix, Hyda

Kerberos and Stick Pluto is very cold cold large blocks of water ice slide

on the frozen heart of Pluto formed nitrogen ice if you live

on Pluto would see the stars of firmament to the east

different from Earth while enjoying moon Practically still chert from the sky

presenting its phases always in the same place where it is seen depending on where

you are would always see Charon or never see

Charon is never born and never gets explain orbit Pluto in it

time of its rotation and always presents the same face for the dwarf planet Already Nix

another planet natural satellite demolished strolls across the sky as if it were

a wandering star sometimes being returned by Charon Pluto is not

planet if it was in accordance with the theory of

rocky and gaseous planets would be located between Mercury and Venus because

according to the theory rocky planets are closest to the sun and gaseous planets

farther away if you want to go hunting of the dwarf planet we go to the data in

Pluto may be seen between Mars and Saturn in the constellation of Sagittarius

on June 1 will be close to the moon and on the 28th as well as on the dates

August 22, 18 September 15 October 12 and December 9

to see you You need good telescopes and I'll

being here you heard one more Étore channel video and leave your like

if you liked leave your comment and sign up for that channel so you do not have the

other videos and until next time I went

and now I'm going to observe Pluto, it's not yet Night but I hope it's now eight o'clock

Why Do Games Cost $60? Why Hasn't The Price of Video Games Changed? - Duration: 6:08.

Why Do Games Cost $60? Why Hasn't The Price of Video Games Changed? - Duration: 6:08.

And in the same decade, Atari introduced Pong to the arcades.

sports game, with simple two-dimensional graphics.

THE TWO WOMEN, ANA SUDA AND MIMI HERNANDEZ, BOTH AMERICAN CITIZENS RECORDED THE STOP ON A CELL PHONE.

>> THE REASON I ASKED YOU FOR YOUR ID IS BECAUSE I CAME IN HERE, AND I SAW YOU GUYS WERE SPEAKING SPANISH.

SOLEDAD: THE INCIDENT HAPPENED WITHIN A DAY OF ANOTHER VIDEO SHOWING AN ATTORNEY IN NEW YORK CITY ON A RANT BECAUSE RESTAURANT WORKERS WERE SPEAKING SPANISH.

IT IS SO NICE TO HAVE YOU WITH US.

THIS ISN'T A NEW CONVERSATION.

I FEEL LIKE WE HAVE IT IN WAVES EVERY FEW YEARS.

REP. TORRES: WE ABSOLUTELY DO.

ANYTIME THERE IS A DOWNTURN IN THE ECONOMY OR THERE IS A HIGH PROFILE PERSONALITY WHO RANTS AGAINST IMMIGRANTS, THIS IS THE FIRST THING.

IT IS LATINOS, SPANISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE WHO ARE FIRST TO FEEL THE PAIN.

SOLEDAD: IT'S INTERESTING.

MONTANA, THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT A BORDER WITH CANADA, BUT WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT THE MEXICAN BORDER.

THE IDEA THAT THE BORDER PATROL AGENT WAS WORRIED ABOUT SPANISH, NOT FRENCH, NOT GERMAN -- REP. TORRES: RIGHT.

IT REALLY GIVES YOU AN INSIGHT INTO THEIR THINKING, AND THIS IS RACIAL PROFILING THAT THE CONGRESSIONAL HISPANIC CAUCUS MEMBERS CONTINUE TO PUSH BACK AGAINST.

IT IS INCREDIBLY INSULTING THAT THIS BORDER AGENT FELT HE COULD RACIALLY PROFILE THESE TWO WOMEN SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE LANGUAGE THEY WERE SPEAKING.

SOLEDAD: JOHN KELLY WHO IS THE WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF, AS YOU KNOW, SAID THIS NOT TOO LONG AGO.

THIS WAS ON MAY 11.

HE WAS TALKING ABOUT LATINOS COMING INTO THE COUNTRY AND NOT ASSIMILATING, AND HE SAYS, THEY ARE NOT MS-13, BUT THEY ARE ALSO NOT PEOPLE WHO WOULD EASILY ASSIMILATE INTO THE UNITED

THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH.

THEY DON'T INTEGRATE WELL.

THEY DON'T HAVE SKILLS.

MANY PEOPLE JUMPED BACK AT HIM AND SAID THAT ACTUALLY THE DATA DOES NOT BEAR OUT WHAT HE IS SAYING.

REP. TORRES: I DON'T THINK I HAD VERY MANY SKILLS WHEN I GOT HERE AS A LITTLE GIRL FROM GUATEMALA, BUT LOOK AT ME.

I LEARNED THE LANGUAGE.

I MOVED FORWARD WITH MY LIFE.

I GOT INVOLVED IN MY COMMUNITY, GOT ELECTED TO LOCAL CITY COUNCIL, WENT TO STATE LEGISLATURE, AND HERE I AM IN CONGRESS.

SOLEDAD: USUALLY WITH SECOND-GENERATION, SO MAYBE THE FIRST WAVE OF IMMIGRANTS COMES IN, BUT THEIR CHILDREN, THE PROBLEM LANGUAGE-WISE IS USUALLY THE REVERSE.

THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEAK THEIR PARENTS' LANGUAGE.

MY MOTHER SPOKE SPANISH.

I CAN BARELY MANAGE MY WAY THROUGH SPANISH.

I WISH I SPOKE MORE BECAUSE THE SECOND GENERATION, TO A LARGE DEGREE, IS VERY FLUENT IN ENGLISH TO THE POINT OF FORGETTING THEIR PARENTS' NATIVE TONGUE.

REP. TORRES: I MUST PUT MYSELF IN THAT SAME POSITION.

AS A CHILD, I WANTED TO PLAY IN THE PLAYGROUND, AND I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER KIDS.

I LEARNED ENGLISH VERY, VERY QUICKLY, BUT I DID NOT TEACH MY CHILDREN SPANISH, BUT MY GRANDBABY IS LEARNING SPANISH, AND HIS PRIMARY LANGUAGE RIGHT NOW IS SPANISH.

SOLEDAD: DO YOU THINK ENGLISH IS UNDER THREAT?

I MEAN, THERE IS NO OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN THE UNITED STATES.

ENGLISH IS A DOMINANT LANGUAGE, BUT THERE IS NO OFFICIAL LANGUAGE, BUT EVERY TIME WE CYCLE BACK TO THESE CONVERSATIONS, ONE WOULD GET THE SENSE OF THAT, MY GOD, ENGLISH

IS UNDER THREAT IN AMERICA.

REP. TORRES: IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT UNDER THREAT.

AMERICANS, MOST AMERICANS, THAT IS OUR FIRST LANGUAGE.

THE REALITY IS THAT WE LIVE IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY.

WE SHOULD BE CELEBRATING LANGUAGES, AND WE SHOULD BE ENCOURAGING OUR CITIZENS TO SPEAK OTHER LANGUAGES, NOT JUST SPANISH BUT MANY OTHER LINKAGES.

Creepy Trump Once Rated Ivanka's Looks As A Perfect Ten - Duration: 3:02.

According to a recent interview between Howard Stern and David Letterman for Letterman's

Netflix program, Howard Stern recounted a conversation that he had with Donald Trump

where he asked Donald Trump to rate some of the best looking women in the world or at

least tell him who some of the best looking women on this planet are.

You know, according to Howard Stern he didn't talk about Angelina Jolie, but instead he

wanted to talk about his own daughter, Ivanka, whom he called a 10.

A perfect 10 is how he described his own daughter when talking about some of the most beautiful

women in the world.

Now listen, as a father I have a very young daughter.

She's beautiful.

She's great and she's wonderful.

If somebody asked me to list the hottest women in the world, yeah, I'm not going to say my

own daughter ever.

Why?

Because that's creepy as hell.

I don't understand why conservatives are so okay with this, because this isn't the first

time.

Donald Trump has sexualized his own daughter repeatedly over the course of that woman's

lifetime.

I mean this goes back several decades of Donald Trump when his daughter was a teenager posing

in poses that were sexually suggestive and inappropriate for a father-daughter relationship,

repeatedly making comments about what a great body she has.

If you are looking at your daughter and saying, "She has got a great body," there is something

wrong with you.

That's let's call the authorities level of creepy.

Normal fathers or mothers or whatever don't look at their children and think that they're

sexy.

That is indicative of some kind of problem, and again, conservatives seem perfectly fine

with this.

They have no problem with Donald Trump sexualizing his daughter.

They get on Twitter and they're like, "Well, she is beautiful."

She's attractive, yeah, but that's not okay for a daughter to go out, for a father to

go out there and say, "She's a perfect 10," or, "Damn, she's got a good body.

Look how hot she is."

That's inappropriate behavior and it all, all of it just points back to the fact that

there is something mentally wrong with the President of the United States.

Again, this isn't a one off thing.

Trump has been doing this to Ivanka Trump for decades.

Something needs to be done here, whether it's a full psychological evaluation of the President,

maybe an MRI or a CAT scan to see if there's some kind of growth in his brain that needs

to be taken out, but either way, everything this man has done points to the fact that

his brain is not working properly.

Who Gives a Sh*t About Empathy - Duration: 5:12.

I don't care…Whatever…Who gives a shit?

July 29, 1998 was a gorgeous summer day in Seattle.

The sun set just as I was walking home.

Walking to my car, I passed a group of people lounging on the lawn of a house.

"How's your night going?" they asked me.

"It's going very well," I said.

All of the sudden,

that group of people,

five men and two women,

suddenly attacked me.

It started with a punch to the back of my head.

When I turned around to see who had struck me,

I was punched again,

this time in the face.

I tried to run away but before I could,

I tripped and fell in the middle of the street.

They kept me there as they punched and kicked

my body and my head.

I tried a few times to get up

but each attempt was met with resistance.

So eventually,

I surrendered to the situation.

Folded forward over my knees,

I covered my face with my hands

and waited for the violence to stop.

Throughout the entire ordeal,

I did not cry.

Three months later, October 6, 1998,

a young man in Laramie, Wyoming

was found tied to this fence

after being brutally beaten.

He suffered massive injuries

to his body, his face, his skull.

When his attackers were done abusing him,

they left him alone all night.

He slipped into a coma, tied to that fence,

and died six days later.

When I heard what happened to Matthew Shepard,

my heart went out to him.

And that time…

I did cry.

I don't care…Whatever…Who gives a shit?

Affective empathy. It's a heart thing.

The ability to relate on an emotional level

to someone else's situation.

The feelings we get when we hear

of someone's happiness or their struggles.

By the looks on some of your faces right now,

I can see that you know what that is.

Journey with me back to July 1998.

The night after my attack,

I returned to the same place where 24 hours before,

seven people kicked and punched me.

As I stood there alone,

I began to process what had happened to me.

Of all the feelings and thoughts swirling inside me,

I was puzzled most of all by this:

Those five men and two women,

they were teenagers.

What could have made them lash out in violence at a stranger?

What would it take for me to lash out at a stranger in the same way?

It would have to be a pain of such magnitude that reason and logic are silenced.

I don't care…Whatever…Who gives a shit?

Cognitive empathy. It's a brain thing.

The ability to understand another person's perspective,

To reflect on their situation

and to consider the reasons they may be acting the way they are.

There's no excuse for violence.

There are consequences.

But as I stood there trying to understand what happened to me,

I slowly came to the understanding that

the pain those people caused me

was nowhere near the level of pain

that led them to act out in violence.

If I dismiss them,

if I don't look past their actions,

if I don't make an effort to give a shit,

then all that's left is…what?

Nothing good, that's for sure.

You and I are perfect strangers.

For all you know, we have nothing in common.

But for a second, right now,

you've put yourself in my shoes.

If you can do that with me,

you can do that with anyone you meet.

It's a choice.

Affective empathy connects you to me

because of related emotion.

Cognitive empathy scans the data behind what I'm saying and doing,

sorts out the noise from the essential information

and searches for cause and solution.

I don't care...Whatever...Who gives a shit?

Those are not acceptable responses!

Correction.

Who gives a shit how similarly we do or do not look

or how differently we think?

Conservative versus liberal.

Men versus women.

Accounting versus HR.

Whatever!

Given how much of our jobs and our lives

center around managing relationships,

it's essential that we flex the muscle of empathy.

Now, the good news is

you don't have to be punched in the face

to apply empathy.

A friend's off-handed comments,

a co-worker with attendance problems,

an ineffective leader,

a struggling business,

and yes, a perfect stranger

all need empathy.

Affective empathy is a heart thing.

Cognitive empathy is a brain thing.

The next time someone does something you don't understand

or that you don't agree with,

call on the power of your heart and your brain together,

to look through their words and actions

to the solution.

And do me a favor.

Dare to give a shit about one another.

Because empathy,

It begins with listening.

But it starts with you.

Thank you.

Whatever Happened To Guys Who Sang Who Let The Dogs Out? - Duration: 4:05.

Performed by the Bahamas-based group the Baha Men, the insanely catchy ear-worm "Who Let

the Dogs Out?"

echoed from every minor league baseball stadium and major league hockey arena in the year

2000, propelling the song into the top 10.

And yes, their name is really pronounced that way.

"Yo!

What's up, we're Baha Men!"

The song had every hint of "one hit wonder" all over it - and it was.

But since people are still wondering who, exactly, let those dogs out, here's a look

at whatever happened to the Baha Men.

"I'm glad to still be representing my country.

Um, I'm sure, all the members of Baha Men feel the same way too."

High Voltage

They may not have hit the big time in America until the year 2000, but the Baha Men actually

formed way back in 1977 under the name High Voltage.

They changed their name in 1991, landing an American record deal and making a appearance

in the 1994 Katherine Heigl movie My Father the Hero.

The group reportedly built a following in the Caribbean and Japan, and hopped around

multiple labels both before and after "Who Let the Dogs Out," releasing roughly a dozen

albums by 2018.

Sue let the dogs out?

According to TMZ, in 2007 the Baha Men filed a lawsuit against a company called Activate

Entertainment, alleging they were owed a half million dollars, since Activate failed to

provide for the Baha Men's recording costs.

The Baha Men ended up spending so much money out of their own accounts that the bank took

lead singer Isaiah Taylor's home; he reportedly spent his money on making music instead of

making his mortgage payments.

Weirdest music feud of all time

In February, 2001, "Who Let the Dogs Out?" won the Grammy for Best Dance Recording, beating

out "Natural Blues" by Moby.

That led to a backhanded diss by Moby, who said,

"I think it's quite a catchy little pop song, and my feeling is, if I'm going to lose an

award, I'd rather lose to a novelty act than a serious act.

It feels like less of a slight."

Considering the Baha Men had been around for over two decades at that point, calling them

a novelty act seemed pretty harsh.

Remember Moby?

Probably not.

They're kind of sick of those dogs

You probably got tired of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" years ago, so just imagine how the Baha

Men feel about performing it at every concert.

In 2015, Baha Men singer Dyson Knight told Vice that it's fine live, but rehearsing it

is a huge drag.

"I'm very tired of playing that song in rehearsal.

I mean, we've been playing it for almost as long as I've been alive.

But on stage, it's different.

The fans really give life to that song."

One issue with rehearsing the song is that the band members don't actually know the words.

Shockingly, "Who Let the Dogs Out?" is actually a cover of a tune by musician Anslem Douglas.

Former Baha Men member Marvin Prosper added the rap breakdown, though, and is the only

one who knows what the lyrics to the rap portion of the song actually are.

Knight told Vice that bandmate Leroy Butler, who currently performs the rap,

"[He] sings what he thinks it is, but I know that what he's singing doesn't make sense."

Return to greatness

The Baha Men made their American debut on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, so it's only

fitting that they made their triumphant return to the show - now called Live with Kelly and

Ryan - in 2018 to debut their first single in seven years, "Bumpa."

Watch out, world, they're back!

"Every time we perform 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' it's always the same kind of energy, people

just go nuts."

"People love it!"

"Even to this day."

We now know who let the dogs out, for real

So... who let the dogs out?

In 2016, the song's writer, Anslem Douglas, told Time to Break that his uncle inspired

the song.

His older relative would witness guys catcalling women on the street, and he'd say to Douglas,

appalled, "Who let the dogs out?"

He was using "dogs" in the sense that "men are dogs," asking rhetorically why these men

were allowed to harass women without consequence.

This is reflected in the lyric,

"The party was nice, the party was bumping, until the fellas start the name calling."

Later in the song, though, the women respond and shut the men down.

Pow!

Who would have guessed that in today's social climate, "Who Let the Dogs Out?" would be

more relevant than ever?

7 Types Of Seafood You Should Stay Far Away From - Duration: 4:57.

The more we learn about the world's oceans, the more incredible things we discover.

We've found a huge number of delicious things, too, and the waters that surround us have

been supplying us with super-healthy foods for as long as we've known how to pull fish

from the seas.

But it's still super important to be careful with your fish consumption, because of issues

like sustainability and the potential for mercury poisoning.

A little knowledge goes a long way, and a great way to make sure you're making smart

and informed choices about the seafood that makes it onto the dinner table is knowing

what kind you shouldn't be serving.

For example ...

King mackerel

King mackerel, or kingfish, is an extremely popular catch among recreational anglers.

They're a bit of a challenge to wrangle and make for good sport fishing, but you're better

off releasing these guys back into the depths.

That's because the FDA advises against eating king mackerel due to their high mercury content.

The king mackerel is by no means alone, either, and there's a number of high-mercury fish

you should be avoiding.

Why?

Because as it builds up over the years, you may start to see neurological problems like

numbness, phantom pains, tremors, memory issues, and even seizures.

It's nothing new, and mercury poisoning is even to blame (or thank) for one of literature's

most famous characters.

"You need to be as mad as a hatter" "I should be…

I am"

In addition to the mercury, king mackerel has also been linked to reports of severe

food poisoning because these fish consume toxic algae.

That's two strikes against this royal swimmer, and all the more reason you need to avoid

it.

Bigeye and bluefin tuna

Some tunas, like the skipjack you find in light canned tuna, are not only sustainable

and safe to eat, but also are recommended for consumption by the American Heart Association.

Other tunas, however, should be avoided either because of population decline or unsafe mercury

levels.

Of all the tuna in the sea, the ones you should be avoiding are bigeye and bluefin.

Bigeye tuna has high levels of mercury, which makes it unsafe to eat for many people.

And bluefin tuna have been overfished to the point of potential extinction, making them

a poor fish choice for those concerned about the environment.

Here's some good news, though: if everyone could get on board with protection and responsible

stewardship, it's completely possible this species will bounce back.

Swordfish

Swordfish have long been popular thanks, in part, to their dense, meaty texture, but they

proved such a popular fish, their population fell to troublesome levels in the 1990s.

There's good news here, too: thanks to protective legislation, numbers have been on the rebound.

You still might want to pass on these fish, though, because we've started solving one

problem only to find another.

Starting as far back as 1970, mercury levels in swordfish were found to be high enough

to concern consumers.

The FDA has listed swordfish as a fish to avoid, and there's plenty of other, safer

options out there.

Shark

Fewer fish are as deeply ingrained in the American imagination as sharks.

We have the Jaws movies to thank for that, which gave many of us nightmares and a healthy

fear of open water.

With a reputation as a fierce hunter, it's no surprise that sharks would be a hunter's

ultimate conquest.

But sharks have been hunted recklessly, especially by those seeking to make money selling shark

fins.

This practice has depleted shark populations to the point of catastrophe, and on top of

that?

Gordon Ramsay had this to say after he spent some time investigating the shark fin industry:

"It's without a doubt the worst act of animal cruelty I've ever seen"

Mercury levels are a problem here, too, so there's no doubt about it: for the health

and wellbeing of sharks and humans alike, don't eat shark meat.

Marlin

Another fish that's very popular among anglers in Florida, Hawaii, and beyond is the marlin.

It's not surprising, as they can weigh nearly 2,000 pounds and swim at speeds up to 60 miles

per hour.

They also use that pointed bill to hunt, poking and slashing through schools of tuna and mackerel.

That's an impressive fish, the kind other fish tell tall tales about.

But conservationists now say they're best left in the sea for the same reasons as numerous

other fish: overfishing, the decimation of population, and a trend toward an elevated

mercury content.

Leave these guys where they are; they're much, much more beautiful in the oceans anyway.

Tilefish

The tilefish is a multicolored fish with distinctive markings, a sweet flavor and a firm texture.

It can be prepared in a variety of ways, and while they may grow slowly, they can achieve

a length of up to four feet, making them attractive to anglers on the Atlantic coast and in the

Gulf of Mexico.

But just because you can catch them, that doesn't mean you should eat them.

Even though the tilefish population is healthy, thanks to some responsible wildlife management

by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, they're still susceptible to overfishing.

Additionally, the mercury levels in tilefish are elevated to the point where they're not

safe to eat.

So let them do what they do best, which is clown around in deep water.

Trump Just Issued Unexpected Statement On Melania After She's Been 'Missing' For 2 Weeks - Duration: 3:50.

Trump Just Issued Unexpected Statement On Melania After She's Been 'Missing' For

2 Weeks.

First Lady Melania Trump has been home from the hospital for exactly a week now, but it's

been a whopping 15 days since she's been seen publicly.

After spending five days in the hospital after a sudden kidney surgery, Americans assumed

she was doing better and ready to get back to work in White House role.

So it came as a shock when there's continually been no sight or sound from her.

Now, President Trump has just released an unexpected statement about his wife who everyone

is wondering about and concerned about her condition.

The last time the country was graced with our first lady's presence was on May 10,

when she welcomed home three American hostages from North Korea at Joint Base Andrews, with

the president, according to the Washington Post.

Just four days later, she was rushed to Walter Reed to undergo what's typically an outpatient

kidney procedure but stayed under the hospital's care for almost a week.

Although she returned to the White House on May 19, as of the 26th, she hasn't been

seen.

Trump had assured the country that her surgery was successful and she's doing well.

He was even quoted saying she's "right there," and pointed to a window in the White

House when asked by prodding reporters why she's so-called "missing" and how she's

recovering.

She's certainly allowed privacy while she's recuperating, even if her detractors don't

want to accept that and start conspiracies about her instead.

Since speculations are running amok, President Trump has had enough and is addressing the

concerns about his wife.

Independent Journal Review reports:

"She's doing great," the president told reporters before climbing aboard Marine One

and heading to the Naval Academy commencement ceremony on Friday.

"She's looking at us right there."

According to the Washington Post, President Trump then pointed to a window in the White

House, but reporters who turned to look failed to catch a glimpse of the first lady.

A spokesperson from the first lady's office addressed the public about her plan to resume

her regular scheduled.

IJR continued:

This week, the first lady's office did not indicate when she's expected to resume public

events but did reveal she has been holding meetings with her staff in the meantime.

"We've had several internal staff meetings in the past week around a variety of topics,

including her initiatives," her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told the Post in an email.

Melania's longtime friend Paolo Zampolli added that he has communicated with her via

text message since her release from the hospital and that she "seems to be recovering well."

Melania isn't just the first lady, she's also a mother to a young son who, like many

children in the country, is finishing up his school year.

The last week or two can be busy and Melania is a mother who has regularly been described

as "very hands on."

That's what makes her even more incredible as a person and example to others.

It's a reasonable assumption at this point that she's been busy with their son Barron,

at least as a possible purpose for her absence from the public.

Considering the immense amount of unwanted and unwarranted negative attacks on the youngest

Trump son, it's also understandable that the first family would want to keep his name

out of addressing concerns of where Melania is, and attention off this child.

Since a statement hasn't been made on where Melania has been, it's only speculation.

However, logical conclusions are better than conspiracy theories that liberals love to

create to make this family and the Trump's marriage look bad.

what do you think about this?

HERE ARE FIVE SIGNS YOUR BLOOD DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH OXYGEN - Duration: 3:23.

HERE ARE FIVE SIGNS YOUR BLOOD DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH OXYGEN

1.

WEAKNESS OR DIZZINESS A common sign of having low oxygen levels

in your blood is getting weak or dizzy more quickly than normal.

Most people have experienced standing up too quickly and getting dizzy or their vision

blacking for a short moment.

However, people who don't have enough oxygen in their blood often find that this happens

on a daily basis, during any level of light or strenuous activity.

Family physician Dr. D. Love states, "The muscle can burn fuel without oxygen for a

limited period of time, but it cannot be maintained indefinitely.

Therefore, chronically low oxygen levels will cause muscle weakness.

It would be unusual that a low oxygen level will cause muscle weakness as a sole symptom;

it would be expected that there would also be shortness of breath."

Since your blood carries oxygen all throughout your body, getting weak or dizzy quickly is

a sign that your blood isn't carrying enough oxygen to all the places that it needs to

go.

2.

FATIGUE Chronic fatigue is a major sign that your

body isn't getting the oxygen that it needs in its blood.

There are different types of feeling tired, but fatigue that is associated with hypoxemia

is chronic and never-ending.

According to an article on Healthline, medically reviewed by Dr. Graham Rogers, "Without

the proper exchange of gases, your body can't get the oxygen it needs.

Over time, you will develop low blood oxygen levels, a condition called hypoxemia.

When your body is low on oxygen, you feel tired.

Fatigue comes more quickly when your lungs can't properly inhale and exhale air."

People often report feeling exhausted halfway through the day, and no amount of sleep seems

to be helping.

Getting tired more quickly than others, or more quickly than you used to, is also a sign

that your blood isn't getting enough oxygen.

3, POUNDING OR RACING HEART Feelings of anxiety are often categorized

by a racing or fast-beating heart.

This is a sign that your heart is working hard to get oxygen to all the places that

it needs to go inside of your body because there isn't enough of it.

If you've never experienced anxiety symptoms before and your body has started to exhibit

a racing heart without other anxiety symptoms, it might be due to a low level of oxygen in

the blood.

4.

SHORTNESS OF BREATH Of course, lack of oxygen means that you're

going to have trouble breathing.

When you have trouble breathing and pulling in oxygen, you're going to have trouble

getting enough oxygen into your blood as a result.

People who have a lack of oxygen in their blood also report being short of breath whether

or not they're performing a strenuous activity.

5.

HEADACHE AND CONFUSION Ever get a pounding head after holding your

breath?

Many people experience headaches, and they can vary in severity.

By themselves, headaches aren't a worrying sign of lack of oxygen in the blood.

But paired with confusion, dizziness and lack of coordination, headaches can be a sign that

your body isn't circulating the amount of oxygen that it needs.

6 Symptoms of Iron Deficiency Should not Ignore - Duration: 2:47.

Symptoms of Iron Deficiency Because the symptoms of an iron deficiency

are often shrugged off as something else, it's important to understand and recognize

the signs.

Here are seven signs of an iron deficiency that might surprise you.

1.

Extreme Fatigue When the body is having trouble carrying oxygen

to the cells, it affects energy levels.

When people lack an adequate amount of iron in their blood, they often feel sluggish and

weak, and find it hard to concentrate or focus.

This type of fatigue isn't something that sleep will cure.

2.

Constant Infections Iron is needed to keep the immune system healthy,

so low iron levels can cause a person to become more susceptible to infections.

Red blood cells carry oxygen to the lymph nodes, which contain white blood cells that

fight infection.

When an infection occurs, white blood cells aren't produced as efficiently in someone

who is iron deficient because the cells aren't getting enough oxygen.

3.

Pale Skin Hemoglobin gives skin its rosy color, so low

levels of hemoglobin cause the skin to become lighter.

When the body is low in iron, read blood cells become smaller and paler, which often translates

to the skin.

A good indication of an iron deficiency is if the area inside the bottom eyelid is lighter

than normal.

4.

Swollen Tongue When cells aren't getting enough oxygen,

muscles can become enlarged and cause pain.

This can occur in any muscle, but it's often seen in the tongue.

Cracks on the side of the mouth are also common in people with an iron deficiency.

5.

Pica Someone suffering from an iron deficiency

might develop cravings for non-food substances, such as dirt or chalk.

This condition is known as pica.

Researchers aren't exactly sure what the connection is between iron deficiency anemia

and picca, but this condition is serious and may end up being life-threatening.

6.

Hair Loss Iron deficiency can cause hair loss when the

hair follicles aren't getting enough oxygen.

They go into a resting stage, causing hair to fall out.

The hair won't grow back until the anemia improves.

Most people shed a few strands each day, but if hair loss is excessive and it stops growing

back, it could be a sign of iron deficiency.

Could fleets of self-driving cars become a public health concern? - Duration: 3:40.

When it comes to autonomous and self-driving vehicles, they are perched up on a pedestal

as being the future and a major solution to environmental and public transportation woes,

mainly in the name of safety, reducing traffic congestion, and ultimately reducing a city's

carbon footprint.

But how about associating autonomous and self-driving vehicles as a health, safety, and sanitary

issue?

When it comes to autonomous and self-driving vehicles meant for fleet purposes, such as

potentially replacing traditional drivers in the world of taxicabs and ridesharing,

cleanliness of these vehicles could become a major issue, according to Slate.

It's hard to deny that even today, taxicabs, Ubers, and even Lyfts, can have questionable

levels of cleanliness already, so this concern isn't unfounded as an emerging form of public

transportation suffering from growing pains.

Anyone who's utilized public transportation in any form in any major metropolitan area

knows that even current methods of transportation present major public health challenges.

When it comes to shuttling thousands, if not millions of people, on a regular basis from

point A to point B, it's inevitable things will get dirtied up just by the usual flow

of people by massive amounts of volume.

That, of course, makes it a public health concern, especially when it comes to the control

of pathogens and disease, among many other human health concerns when a mass of bodies

converges in a single, confined space.

From those trying to get the local health clinic for assistance and those who get promiscuous

after a late night of drinking.

You get the idea, which is why it's always good to wash your hands after using public

transportation.

Thankfully, there is usually a dedicated maintenance team that helps keep things as clean as possible

according to health department and commercial policy requirements.

But that can range from a multi-person housekeeping staff for subway cars to just a single driver

of a taxicab, both of which you hope would keep the seats stain-free and sanitized.

And everyone's idea of clean varies, greatly.

So it is without a doubt that cleanliness will be a public health concern for self-driving

cars.

Removing the driver also removes the human element who is expected to maintain cleanliness.

But this isn't to say there aren't any solutions.

Most taxicab and livery fleets usually get cleaned up regularly when they're parked

at home base and throughout the day.

Additionally, lots of taxi and hire fleets feature special antimicrobial seat covers

to simplify maintenance.

With self-driving vehicles, the driver might not be present to keep these things clean.

So it will be important for the automakers of self-driving vehicles to incorporate quality,

health-conscious designs and materials while it's up to fleet operators to maintain a

cleaning regiment.

Are doctors obsolete "Deep learning" AI system trounced doctors - Duration: 4:48.

Are doctors obsolete Deep learning AI system trounced doctors in predicting heart

failure in patients, boasting 97 percent accuracy

by: Isabelle Z.

Autonomous cars are controversial, but proponents point out that they are far safer than traditional

cars because the artificial intelligence systems controlling them are not vulnerable to human

error. The computer, they say, wont fall asleep at the wheel, get distracted checking

its text messages, or drive while intoxicated. Its better at math than humans, accurately

calculating when to slow down or change lanes safely. Now this same technology could bring

new levels of accuracy to the medical field and even save lives.

Deep learning computers developed by Case Western Reserve University have been handily

outperforming medical doctors in detecting cancer and diagnosing heart failure. With

$9.5 million in funding from the National Cancer Institute, theyve developed tools

that can analyze digital pathology images of cancers of the lung, head, neck and breast

to accurately identify those patients who could be spared undergoing risky chemotherapy.

For example, the researchers have found that their system is better than human experts

in distinguishing malignant and benign lung nodules using CAT scans. This is a very valuable

advancement when you consider the fact that around 98 percent of the nodules flagged by

human radiologists as being suspicious turn out to be benign. The system could save people

a lot of worry, not to mention unnecessary additional testing.

The artificial intelligence system is so advanced that it predicted which people out of a group

of 105 patients showed evidence of a pending heart failure with a 97 percent accuracy rate;

the two pathologists who assessed the same group were only correct 73 and 74 percent

of the time.

In another study that looked at prostate cancer scans in three countries, the computation

imaging algorithms caught clinically significant prostate cancer in MRIs in more than 70 percent

of the cases where radiologists failed to detect it. Similarly, in half of the cases

where radiologists had mistakenly identified someone as having clinically significant prostate

cancer on MRIs, the machines correctly determined that the disease was not present.

Deep learning AI could prove to be a lifesaver All of this is extremely promising, but the

researchers would like to see further validation in bigger studies. Nevertheless, theres

a huge amount of potential here to spare people unnecessary treatment and better identify

those who need interventions.

The machines are excellent at comparing and contrasting hundreds of tissue samples in

the same amount of time that a pathologist needs to pore over a single slide, and they

can compile data and make predictions with ease.

That doesnt mean that doctors should start worrying about losing their jobs to machines

any time soon, however. While the computers excel at doing things quickly and in high

volumes with a great degree of accuracy, there will always be the need for doctors to manage

peoples health. What it can do, however, is make their work easier and let them know

which patients they need to focus on and which cases arent as concerning as they might

appear.

This technology, therefore, isnt going to replace doctors; it will just help them

do their work better than before. Case Western Professor of Biomedical Engineering Anant

Madabhushi said that in a country like Botswana, where there is only one pathologist for 2

million people, it could allow many more individuals to get much-needed help.

Of course, like any technology, there are ways it could go wrong, but the high accuracy

rates that have been demonstrated so far show that this technology could prove to be

a lifesaver.
