Youtube daily report w May 22 2018

Hello and welcome for coffee break together. Let's start with a quick reminder about

2017 full year, when the RevPAR growth was 5.8% in Europe.

Looking at the first quarter 2018, from January to March, Europe is

achieving a RevPAR growth of 4.2% compare to the first quarter of 2017.

Southern Europe continues to perform well. Germany and UK hotel market

are showing a slowdown since the beginning of the year compare to last

year same period.

Looking now at the hotel activity per category, they are all

pretty much on the same dynamic regarding occupancy. The fifth star

market is achieving a higher RevPAR growth compare to the other category

due to an increase of 3.2% of its ADR.

Let's make some focus about German,

UK, France and Indian Peninsula market. Regarding the UK market, the last quarter

of 2017 already showed a slow down of the occupancy rate. Tthis trend is confirmed

for 2018 first quarter, impacting now the ADR. This could be the first

tangible effect of the Brexit. RevPAR remains stable at 0.2% and

occupancy slightly decreases by 0.5 point. Now, looking at the German market,

the situation is rather different from the one observed on the UK market.

It's mostly the impact of the event calendar that affect hotel activity.

For example in Hannover : CeBIT was in March 2017 and will take place this year in

June. Also every year there is a eastern holiday period that is shifting between

the month of April and May. RevPAR also remains stable at 0.2% as of

occupancy rate at 0.5 pt.

The French market is strongly performing since the beginning of the year. Mostly driven by

the demand leading to occupancy rate increase. France is still recovering from

2016 terrorist attack, and the good performance is many due to the greater

Paris area. Despite the current transportation strike, April shows that hotels

located in Paris have a limited impact on the occupancy rate. However hotels

located in other French regions are suffering. RevPAR increases by 6.2%

and occupancy rate by 2.1%.

Last market focus is about Iberian Peninsula: Portugal and Spain. Since the last three

years, it is clearly the booming market across Europe in terms of RevPAR growth.

Only Barcelona is not as dynamic as the other peninsula markets. Spain RevPAR

grows by 7%, while occupancy rate remains stable at 0.6 pt. Portugal RevPAR

increased by 9.4% and occupancy rate by 0.2 pt.

Thanks a lot and see you soon for coffee break.

cacao also isn't a controlled substance which means that neither the dean or the FDA can

stop fun loving Americans from sniffing the stuff that even though eating it is perfectly safe

snorting it probably isn't a great idea

The winner was Rinaly so she goes on to third place.

But Takehito lost so he is last place.

Alright, so in this case, last place has a penalty, so I prepared a special sushi

Gundam Build Divers-Episode 8: Festival!(EN,TW,KR,FR,IT sub) - Duration: 25:43.

The Rommel Team will not suffer such a disgraceful defeat!

Wh-What?

H-He's fast!

Behold...

the power of...

my new 00 Diver Ace!

F-Forgive me, Captain Rommel!

We were victorious, Mr. Yukki.

It was the first victory for Build Divers, Mr. Riku.

Sure they were rookies,

but we beat the Rommel Team.

It's an unbelievable upset.

Impressive marksmanship here, Mr. Yukki.

Oh, please.

It pales in comparison to your finishing blow, Mr. Riku.

Gosh, how many times are they going to watch it?

They've been like this ever since the Force Battle.

Let them be.

A Force Battle win is unlike individual ones.

- Teammates share a victory. - Let's win again.

Another big win!

They're pouring in.

All these challenges from other forces!

Beating the Rommel Team sure had a big impact.

Hey, why don't we take them all on?

That way, our Force Rank thing will go up faster, right?

Then maybe we will.

Yeah, do it!

They sure are carefree.

From the next Force Battle, the enemy will be analyzing us.

It won't be easy like the first battle.

That's pretty harsh, Ayame.

I'm just stating a fact.

All right, let's battle this force next...

Battles are fine too...

But there are other things that only a force can do.

Things only a force can do?

Yes.

Like that.

"Force Festival. Now open for a limited time."

What is this?

As the name suggests, a festival only for teams who have formed a force.

It's going on right now.

A festival? I want to go!

What's it like?

There are lots of different kinds.

Gunpla races.

Sports tournaments.

Dance contests.

And even karaoke competitions!

Those events are for forces to get to know one another.

I've heard about this.

If you attend, you can get special items,

or wear costumes limited to that area.

Yes, that's right.

This time, it's the most popular kind.

The Beargguy Festival!

You get to go to a Beargguy party.

What's this bear? It's so cute.

That's a Beargguy.

It's a Gunpla that's a cute customization

of the Acguy from Mobile Suit Gundam.

There's also a variation called the Petit'gguy.

I know the Petit'gguy!

It's the cute one I saw before.

Riku, Yukki, let's go to the festival.

Let's do it, Riku.

To celebrate our first Force Battle victory.

Yeah, sounds good.

I'll pass.

I'm not into that stuff.

It's a festival for forces.

We have to go together.

Sorry, I don't think I'll be able to help you.

All right, let's get going.

- Yeah! - Yeah!

Riku, Gundam 00 Diver Ace.

Yukki, GM III Beam Master.

KO-1, Galbaldy Rebake.

Momo, Sarah, Momokapool.

Umm...I...

To the Force Festival...

- Here we go! - Here we go!

(Festival!)

Welcome to the Beargguy Festival.

Wow, it's like an amusement park.

Almost the real thing.

Welcome to the Beargguy Festival.

(House of Transformation)

Care to try on a limited edition costume? (House of Transformation)

Sounds fun. Let's do it.

Yeah.

Ayame, we should also...

Is something wrong?

No. Nothing's wrong.

Rikugguy!

Momogguy!

Sarahgguy!

Yukkigguy!

Together we are...

- The Fourgguy Rangers! - The Fourgguy Rangers!

That name doesn't jingle, Yukki.

I know.

Sarah, you're so cute.

You too, Momochi.

- But someone isn't fitting in. - But someone isn't fitting in.

Y-You want me to wear that thing?

Ayame.

They say "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

They got you too!

- Bear, Bear. - Bear, Bear.

- Bear, Bear. - Wait.

- Bear, Bear. Bear, Bear. - Bear, Bear. Bear, Bear.

I-I said wait...

Hey!

- (Welcome to Beargguy Land!) - (Get ready for Beargguy Quest.)

Yukki, let's go there next.

Yeah!

They're so full of energy.

That's a perk of being young.

You sound so old.

Excuse me...

Excuse me, would you take a pic for us?

Oh, umm, I'm not...

How do I say this?

Let me see that.

Thank you.

- Gundam Seed Destiny! - Neeee!

- Thank you. - Thank you.

Sure.

KO-1, about the next ride.

You're going to ride more?

Oh, you're...

You're from the force that beat the Rommel Team.

You're right.

I saw the live stream of the battle.

Yeah, you were so cool.

Oh, you think so?

We're not that special.

This again?

Since you're here...

you guys have a force too?

Yes. Our force is called Archangels.

It's an all-girl force.

Really? That must be pretty rare.

That's not true.

There are Gunpla girls all over the world.

Yeah.

Anyway, you guys are here for the Event mission, right?

We expected fewer teams would participate during the day,

but we've got quite a rival.

Event mission?

Beargguy Quest!

Use your Gunpla to solve Beargguy Island's mystery,

and find the treasure.

Divers who successfully find the treasure

will receive a special Mushagguy.

Will you be able to discover it?

That special Mushagguy is so cute.

I want it!

Riku, what do you say?

What do you think?

How could we pass up something that sounds so fun?

Exactly!

All right.

Let's find the treasure!

- Yeah! - Yeah!

Welcome to the Event mission "Beargguy Quest."

Let me give you a simple rundown of the rules.

Hidden across Beargguy Land

are treasure chests with clues.

Using these clues,

find the Beargguy statue.

The statue will contain a clue about the final treasure chest.

Everyone, good luck finding the treasure!

Hi there.

That voice...it's you two.

We're not going to lose.

We've done this before, so we know where the clues are.

We won't go down without a fight.

Well, that's the spirit.

Now, Beargguy Quest...

Ready...

Go!

Let's go, Stea.

OK. I'll do my best.

I won't be a burden to you.

Don't say that.

KO-1, do you have a plan?

For now, let's split up and search for clues.

Yukki. You and Momo come with me.

Riku, go with Ayame.

- Got it. - Step on it!

M-Miss Ayame, wait!

Is she that desperate for a mere...

...stuffed animal?

Any treasure chests?

None underground.

This calls for a probe MS.

Got it. A treasure chest reading.

Let's go.

Shoot! My head's stuck!

Thanks for the treasure.

No, that's mine!

There it is. That tree!

Clue time.

The Beargguy statue is by the water.

By the water...

The ocean or the lake.

- Let's go, Stea. - OK.

- There's one, Sarah. - Yeah.

Quiz time.

If you can name ten Gundam titles, you'll get your clue.

I don't know the answer.

Yukki, help.

Hold on.

I found one too.

Sorry. Nothing here.

Not even a clue.

All that for nothing.

Then come here quick and answer the question.

Um, OK.

Miss Ayame.

Where are you headed?

Just follow me.

The Beargguy statue.

How'd you know it was here?

At a festival 2 years ago,

there was a similar Event mission.

But you said you played solo...

Let's go.

Bonus clue.

In episode 15 of Mobile Suit Gundam, "Cucuruz Doan's Island,"

the Gundam threw a certain MS.

The treasure is located in a place with the same shape as its head.

Cucuruz Doan...that's...-

A Zaku.

In the story, Amuro Ray says they needn't fight anymore,

and throws Cucuruz Doan's Zaku into the sea.

A landform shaped like a Zaku's head.

Here.

M-Miss Ayame!

I found the Beargguy statue.

Huh? Wait...

That's...

Oh, they beat us to it.

No, they haven't gotten the treasure yet.

Stea?

- We'll get it no matter what. - Wait!

That's the Zaku's head.

Found it!

We did it, Miss Ayame.

Let's clear this quest together.

We can do it.

What am I doing?

After all this time...

Huh?

An attack?

That Gunpla...

It's that lady.

Starting a fight in an Event mission?

Why?

Stop it, Stea.

What are you doing?

That treasure belongs to us!

Disappeared?

Stea!

Cut it out.

That's bad manners.

I'm sorry.

Stea, what are you doing?

Even so...

I still want to contribute to my force.

I'll do anything!

Stea!

That's a Break Decal.

I can't believe she's a Mass-Diver!

Stea...

How could you?

I don't want to become a burden.

I've always caused problems for my force.

The other day too, our Force Rank dropped because of me.

At this rate, they'll all give up on me.

- You're mistaken... - That's why...

I will become strong.

Even if I have to use a Break Decal!

Miss Ayame, this is...

What's going on?

Is the Break Decal's effect on GBN being amplified?

Isn't this faster than usual...?

What the--?!

Is it a bug?

Now I can finally become strong.

Stea, that's enough.

We'll never give up on you.

You will, eventually.

Because...

I'm an awful player.

Stea!

Watch, Kanari.

I want you to see that I've become strong!

Why...?

Why?

Why can't you trust your friends?!

You think you'll get left out because you're bad?

That's not true.

You wanted to play Gunpla Battle and enjoy GBN.

So you started a force with your friends.

You're the one who's...

betraying your teammates!

A talented kid like you wouldn't understand.

You're the one who doesn't understand.

The power you obtained is just a deception.

By doing what you're doing,

you won't be able to stay in GBN, let alone your force.

Don't you get that?

You came to GBN...

to have fun with your friends, right?

But...

Even so...

I have to win.

I have to be useful.

If not, I'll no longer have a place where I belong!

I have to win.

I have to be useful.

The place...

where I belong...

Kanari?

Stea, you're a fool.

Believe in me.

We've been together all this time.

We're teammates.

And we always will be.

K-Kanari...

I...

I...

I'm...sorry.

Sorry.

I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry.

I really am.

I'm sorry...

Miss.

The festival isn't over yet.

The party's just beginning, isn't it?

I would've never guessed that she was a Mass-Diver.

What's even more surprising

is how widely Break Decals have spread.

KO-1.

The crooks handing out Break Decals, what do they want?

I don't know either.

Why can't you trust your friends?

You wanted to play Gunpla Battle and enjoy GBN.

So you started a force with your friends.

Miss Ayame.

Is this a bad time?

It's fine.

What is it?

The champ was saying...

that he wanted to protect this world.

Kyoya Kujo did?

Yes.

I feel like I understand what he meant.

I had a lot of fun today.

I like GBN even more now.

All kinds of people can become friends through Gunpla,

and laugh together.

I realized once again that this is such a wonderful world.

But...

The Mass-Divers...

No, those making and passing out Break Decals are trying to

rob people of that fun.

That lady too. If it weren't for Break Decals,

she wouldn't have done such a thing.

We can't let Mass-Divers act selfishly in this fun world.

I won't allow it.

- It's so pretty. - It is.

I...

I heard that I could become strong if I came here.

Y-You're here, right?

No need to yell.

I have what you desire.

A Break Decal...

I was shocked.

Even though we've seen it several times...

Yeah.

Hey there, Riku.

Cheer up!

Sure, thanks!

If you don't cheer up, Riku,

how can we enjoy the next battle?

An event battle!

We won't find out the opponent and situation

until the day of the battle!

What? That sounds like fun!

Next episode, Return of the Ogre.

I won't lose this time!

Go for it, Riku!

5 ways to Disable Stop start on the Jeep JL Wrangler (ESS) - Duration: 7:01.

Not again stop start again seriously does that ever happen to you, happens to

me all the time. I'm going to show you five different ways to disable this mess. Here

we go, Welcome back my name is Brandon Hneline your Jeep informant and if this

is your first time here and you want to learn more about Jeeps you're in the

right place. so make sure you hit that subscribe button with the bell and let's

get started. now today I'm gonna be showing you how to disable the

stop-start system five different ways you make your choice four of them are

for free in a previous video I showed you how to disable the stop-start system

two different ways and in that video I left a voting poll and I was completely

surprised at how many people did not like the stop-start system check this

out now out of two hundred and eighty nine responses at fifty six percent of

you said that you don't like stop start but what concerns me is only thirteen

percent are willing to disable the stop-start system now this lets me know

that most of you don't like it but you're not willing to go as far as

disconnecting sensors or stuff like that that I was showing you here like

disconnecting the number two hood ajar switch which disables the stop start

feature or removing the battery intelligent sensor connector which also

disables the stop start the problem with these two ways they do work and they do

disable the stop star system but it leaves the light on in the - that says

service stop-start system a lot of people feel uncomfortable you know

disconnecting sensors they think maybe it might avoid their warranty or

something to that nature and that's understandable now if you don't want

those lights on in the - but you still don't want the stop start feature there

is still three other ways now as you can see here I'm scrolling to the instrument

cluster and when you get to number six this gives you the stop start

information now there is tons of reasons why this thing would say stop start not

ready it can be engine coolant temperature not good charging here

but one of my favorite is when you're coming to a stop sign are you coming to

a stop and you're gonna make that left or right turn just go ahead and turn the

steering wheel just a little bit it needs to see about 60 degrees and looky

there stop start not ready steering wheel turned now that's pretty cool no

lights on the dash except from a gas light there but no sensors unplugged

nothing like that just stop starting not and there does it stop start ready now

because we're going straight but if you turn that steering wheel stop start not

ready the steering will turn I like this one this is one of my favorites but the

issue with this one is that it could wear tires a little bit more prematurely

than the other way now the fourth way to disable the stop-start system may take a

little time to master but it shouldn't be that big of a deal once you get to

really know your vehicle a little bit better you'll know exactly where this

sweet spot is that now I'm at a complete stop right now on the stop starts not

activated but when you press the brake pedal a little bit further as you can

hear there it is activated so get to know your brake pedal a little bit

better and know the sweet spot there of where activates and where it doesn't

activate now I'll have to say turning the steering wheel and the sweet spot on

the brake pedal is probably my two favorite ways of disabling the

stop-start system because it doesn't cost nothing at all and also it doesn't

turn the lights on there's no sensors to unplug you don't have to worry about

avoiding any type of warranty it's just a couple of driving habits that you can

get used to they don't keep the stop start from being activated now the fifth

way of disabling your auto stop start is by xiana motives tasered jl aftermarket

programmer guys this thing is super duper cool man i showed you in a

previous video how to install this i'll leave that link up in the top right

corner if you need to see how to actually install one of these and where

to purchase it at but as you go through here and set this thing up as you can

see here there's light shows which it has different lights that you can do

there's traction control that you can turn off okay track cue and

next it should be the SS kill a zone which is to stop start kill is own so

what this means is every time you start the car it automatically turns the stop

start off by itself now when you've got this stop start kill turned on this is

what happens when you start the vehicle it will actually go through its little

cluster sweep there and if you look here there's the traction control being

turned off by itself and if you look there there's the auto stop start being

turned off by self I do not press those buttons I promise you this is what the

Taser jail does for you automatically now you do have to keep that taser Jael

plugged into the OBD port that is one of the live functions now as you can see

here in the instrument cluster there are no lights on saying that there's an

issue or anything service stop-start system or nothing but if you go to the

stop start information screen it does say stop start off just like if you had

pressed the button alright guys cast your vote up in the top right corner and

let me know how your learning disabled your stop start is it gonna be the

number two hood switch the intelligent battery sensor disconnect is it gonna be

turning the steering wheel when you're at a stop getting to know your brake

pedal a little more or is it purchasing a Taser Jay L from Z automotive now

don't forget that this taser Jay L can do so much more than just disabling the

auto stop start now if you do decide to purchase one of these taser jails that

make sure you use the coupon code Jeep informant one now I'll leave all this

information in the description down below well guys that's a wrap now I hope

you're smarter now then you weren't before you started this video so thank

you for all of you who are watching thank you for my patrons out there don't

forget to go to the description down below and use the amazon link if you

need to purchase anything from amazon a small portion of that will go to support

this channel if you're still here watching make sure you give me a big

thumbs up you must have liked it take care have a great day and be safe guys

again stop start again good grief

Episode 188: Trading a Trending Market - Trend Trading Strategies - Forex Trading Strategy - Duration: 5:56.

welcome to episode 188 of 13000 trade show where we're mastering trading and

creating excellence through the deliberate practice and analysis of

10,000 traits in this episode we'll take a look at a trending market trending

markets are great because once the trend starts it could continue on for a long

period of time so today we'll take a look at how to identify a trend and what

the best place to enter a trend is a lot of times I hear people will enter into a

trending move when the price has moved a lot already which is not the best place

to place a trade so we want to see a pullback and that's when we enter a

trade in the direction of the previous trend so let's go into the charts and I

will show you how to identify a trending move and where to enter trade in this

type of a market

here we'll take a look at how to trade a trending market

this is Aussie dollar one hour chart generally when the market trend starts

it's hard to get into it or maybe we just missed the initial move and we come

to our desks and we see that market has already turned and it is now trending or

it's starting to move upwards here so in this case we see that price is going

sideways for a while here and then it tries to go lower but comes into a

support area and then starts to push up higher now reversing this move and we

see this uptrend that has already been established now so what do we do once we

get to this market the first thing we want to look for is a pullback generally

during up trends or down trends any kind of trending market if we do get pull

backs market doesn't just go in one direction it will move up pullback and

then make another move to the upside pullback and continue on like that so

essentially we're looking for price to pull back and in this case price moves

up pulls back and then we need to see a close above the previous high so in this

case we get this big bullish engulfing candle close here and once the candle

closes above this previous high this gives us an indication that price is

likely to move up higher now so in this case we wait for a bit of a pullback

because that is a big candle so we can get a better entry just by looking for a

pullback so we wait for a pullback enter the trade long and we stay with the

trade so in this case price moves higher and then pulls back again into previous

support and resistance area but as you notice it quickly closes back above our

resistance level here and then closes stays above that level and then

continues higher so this is kind of what we are looking for we look for an

uptrend a pullback and then a close above the previous high and we enter the

trade long and we stay with the trade as long as price is moving higher and then

once we see at the end of the day here price starts to move

back and now and we don't know where the price is going to go we have already

seen this move generally the move second leg here will be approximately the same

size as the first leg so it's a good idea to get out of the trade so we exit

the trade here from entry to exit we get 50 pips in our trade

so just to recap you're looking at how to enter a trending market so we have an

uptrend we wait forever pull back after the pullback we are looking for

continuation in the direction of the previous move which is long in this case

so once we see this bullish engulfing candle close we look for a long entry on

pullback and we stay with the trade as long as it's moving upwards and as we

get into the end of the day and price starts to go sideways it is best to exit

the trade from entry to exit we get 50 pips in our trade so our profit is 50

pips or $500 if trading once and a lot if you'd like to learn more profitable

#25 European Hotel Trend Q1-2018 #LTDC - Duration: 4:00.

Thanks a lot and see you soon for coffee break.

eople Are Snorting Chocolate—Here's Why - Duration: 2:39.

People are snorting chocolate here's why

chocolate has been touted for everything from heart health to weight loss

and apparently it can get you kind a high

it sounds like something out of and are rated version of Willie Wong to that using rock a Cal

powder yes the stuff that chocolate is made from

as a drug is catching on

car tires at some L.a. events are snorting the stuff for a buzz that's both legal and cheap they didn't come up with that go back in 2007

Belgian chocolate year Dominique person invented a chocolate shooter for rolling stones party

after that getting high on katell started becoming a thing in Europe

so much so that a club called lucid in Berlin hosts monthly gatherings where people drink a Cal in meditative

mind expanding rituals

the organizer who recently spoke with Izzy likened the experience to a smooth sensual hug in the cup can tell is and actually a drug

but it does boast some properties that you could call drug like

to Cal is rich and full of in ills that relax blood vessels and boost blood flow to the brain

which could have something to do with why studies show that the stuff can make you

happier relieve stress and even boost your mental sharpness

plus it's got caffeine and theobromine a caffeine like compound

that blocks sleepiness causing chemicals in the brain to help you feel more energized

make sure you don't make the six mistakes when you eat chocolate

cacao also isn't a controlled substance which means that neither the dean or the FDA can

stop fun loving Americans from sniffing the stuff that even though eating it is perfectly safe

snorting it probably isn't a great idea

you could damage the tiny hairs inside of your nose or scar your nasal tissue

experts say and any way you've probably already experienced a mild version of coach house happiness and do sing affects the last

time you eat a piece of dark chocolate but if you really want to try getting a bigger buzz on

Raising Christian Girls with Female Christian Role Models - Duration: 5:27.

Pretty much ostracized from her faith community for coming out that she was

okay with gay marriage. hi Shawn here. If you are new, welcome! This channel is all

about helping you raise Christian kids and in today's video we are going to talk

about specifically the Beth Moore letter coming up next. Did you guys read the

Beth Moore letter? If you didn't, I will link the letter -if I can find the link-

in the description box below. But basically Beth Moore- if you don't know-

she is really big in the evangelical church tradition. She comes out with

Bible studies and she does woman's devotions. Honestly, I don't know too

much about her. I went to a women of faith conference many years ago and enjoyed

it but was not really my thing. Too be honest with you all

anytime I heard that someone was doing a Beth Moore study,

I was completely turned off by it because of her role in the church. I kind

of saw her as a woman figure that just held up that standard that women should

not preach -that misogynistic view of women that is present in the evangelical

church. Any time a Beth Moore Bible study was offered, I had that in the back of my

mind and just dismissed it and was not interested in it or interested in her.

But she released this letter talking about her experience as a woman in the church

that I think was very brave. She must be at a point in her life where she

feels more comfortable with actually expressing how she feels in her stance

within her church community. She goes on to describe how when she would go and

she would speak to people that the other men and the other speakers would treat

her differently or completely ignore her. You'll have to read the letter yourself

because she lists a whole bunch of stuff. But basically she said she was sorry

for upholding that misogynistic view of women in the evangelical church. So I'm

very curious as where this is going for her. Where

is she going to take this and how is it going to affect her career? Is

she going to put out new stuff for women that is more kind of woman empowerment?

I'm very curious. Let me know in the comment section down below: one, if you

read this letter and two what your thoughts on this letter were. That got me

into thinking about -you know- I have a baby girl now. She is eight months old.

How am I going to raise her? Because if you know my story- I've shared a couple of

pieces of my faith story, my faith journey on my youtube channel I will

link those videos in the description box down below for you to check out. I

struggled as a woman in church ministry. I have a baby girl and I want to raise

her so that she knows that she can follow God and that she can have a mind

of her own. That she is equal with everybody else around her. On the topic

of Beth Moore, I follow Jen Hatmaker. Give me a thumbs up if you guys follow Jen

Hatmaker as well. I also love her and her new podcast- For the Love. Last year. I

think it was, she got a lot of flack and was pretty much ostracized from her

faith community for coming out that she was okay with gay marriage and the LGBTQ

community. She was very affirming of them which again a woman who was very brave,

who's going against her faith community, and actually speaking out what she

actually believed. wow! That was just very inspiring to me. I want my baby girl to

also be brave enough to speak her mind. Then I want to talk about Rachel

Held Evans in here. If you are unfamiliar with Rachel held Evans, she has a new

book coming out called "Inspired." Talks all about reframing our faith stories

from our childhood and actually looking at them without the lens of this white-

I'm just going to say it -without the lens of a white male. Her new book- and I can't say

my full thoughts on it because I'm only into chapter one you guys, only into

chapter one at this point -what I'm hoping to get out of it and what I'm

seeing just through her introduction and through Chapter one.

I finished chapter one. She has an honesty and a love of

scripture that is also very brave. She's another kind of evangelical- used to

be an evangelical- and has now rethought, reframed, and deconstructed her faith

story. She is now a mother and she's getting ready to have her second child.

She is rethinking and looking back on the stories of her faith tradition and

wanting to help reframe a different- not a different- but more accurate, a more

loving, a more welcoming, a more Christ-like (in my opinion) image of

scripture for her family that I admire tremendously. I talked briefly

about the three faith community women that I see speaking into this space that

are very public right now. Thanks so much for joining me in today's video, I would

love for you consider subscribing to this channel by hitting the subscribe

button down below. I post new content every Tuesday and

Wednesday and I will see you in my next video. thanks for watching. Bye!

5 Under-the-Radar Mystery Books - Duration: 9:29.

Hi everyone. I'm rincey and i am one of the contributing editors over at book riot.

Today is Arthur Conan Doyle day here at book riot and so I am here to do

a mystery thriller related video for you guys. And I'm going to be talking about a

handful of sort of under the radar mystery books that personally I want to

read. I haven't read these yet but I've heard pretty good things about them or

they just seem interesting to me. All of these with the exception of one have

less than a thousand ratings on goodreads, which is how I am defining

under the radar. I feel like a lot of times with mysteries and thrillers especially

there are like a handful of huge, big named authors and we talk about those

same authors a lot. But there are a lot of people who write mysteries and

thrillers, obviously. And so I'm going to be recommending some. So if you are

someone who reads the genre pretty regularly and want something a little

bit different than what everyone else is talking about, then this is the video for you.

Before I get into the books I just want to say that this video is sponsored

by the seven and a half deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stewart Turton. At a gala

party thrown by her parents, Evelyn Hardcastle will be killed again.

She's been murdered hundreds of times and each day Aiden Bishop is too late to

save her. Doomed to repeat the same day over and over again, Aiden's only chance

for escape is to solve Evelyn's Hardcastle's murder. However nothing and

no one is quite what they seem. So this is a debut novel from Stewart Turton and

he's already getting rave reviews from best-selling authors like AJ Finn. And

this book has been on a number of publications most anticipated books for

2018 including like Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire and Stylus magazine.

And this genre bending mystery is being described as Agatha Christie meets

Groundhog Day with a dash of quantum leap, which is quite the combination in

my opinion. And again that's the seven and a half deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

by Stuart Turton. Alright so the first book that I have is a decline in prophets

by Sulari Gentill. This is a book that I had never heard of before

but I was at this mystery bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin and literally just

came across it while browsing the shelves and decided to pick it up. And it

sounds super interesting in my opinion. Sulari Gentill is

an Australian author and personally I don't read that many books from

Australia. So that's another reason why I picked this one up. This is the second

book in the roland sinclair series. So if you are someone who needs to read books

in series order then just be aware of that. But i don't think that these are

books that you need to read in series order. At least I would assume so.

I haven't read the first one and I'm hoping you don't need to. So his book is set in 1932 and

Roland Sinclair is this wealthy man who is travelling with his like group of

like bohemian friends from New York City to Sydney by boat after spending some

time in Europe. And there are just a wide group of people on the ship including a

group of the Theosophical spiritual movement which was apparently a big

thing back in the early 1900s and these like ultra conservative Irish

Catholic bishop and his sort of crew of people. And so there is obviously some

tension aboard this ship. Suddenly their dead bodies aboard the ship and Roland

Sinclair is a suspect in the murder of the first person. And so he has to sort

of figure out what exactly is going on and what's happening with these like

tensions between these two groups. This book is being described as Evelyn Vaughn

meets Agatha Christie which again is just great description and totally has

me on board for wanting to read this book. The next book that I have is silver

bullets by Elmer Mendoza and this book is translated from the Spanish by Mark

Fried. So Elmer Mendoza is a Mexican writer and I just like came across his

name one day when I was looking through sort of like upcoming book releases and

I think it's like the third book in this series is coming out this year. And so I

decided to look up what the first book in the series was and that is this one,

silver bullets. In this book you are following detective Edgar Mendieta.

He has been recently left by the woman that he loves, he continues to be demoralized

by the city's and nation's corruption and is in desperate need of some

psychotherapy. Then one day he gets the case of this high-powered lawyer who was

basically leading a double life and was killed by a single silver bullet.

It turns out that this lawyer is the son of a former government official and was

dating the daughter of a drug Lord or something along those lines.

So he was involved in all sorts of things and so obviously it's about trying to

solve crime of who murdered this high-powered lawyer. So if you're someone

who likes detective novels that take on a grittier sort of darker world then it

sounds like silver bullets it might be one for you. And I definitely am very

excited to check this one out and potentially have a new mystery series to

read. Alright the next one that I have is follow her home by Steph Cha.

This one got on my radar because I think Megan Abbott mentioned Steph Cha in, I

want to say she was doing a by the book in the New York Times Book Review. But I

don't know if it was that interview or not that she mentioned Steph Cha.

You are following this character named juniper song who is an amateur sleuth

living in Los Angeles. She has always loved noir books and so one day her

friend comes to her asking for her to investigate whether or not his father

and a younger employee of his are having an affair. However when she sort of

fulfilling this ideal of being the sort of amateur detective, she's knocked out.

And then when she awakens she finds a dead body in the trunk of her car. So as

she's investigating her friend's family and trying to figure out the truth,

juniper song is forced to confront her own hidden past as well and realize that

some of her own hidden secrets are coming to light. So something is urging

her to see this mystery through as well as confront mistakes from her past. So

this one is being described as sort of like a twist on the noir genre and is

sort of like this modern take on this dark and gritty mystery genre. So if you

are fan of noir then you might like follow her home. Alright next up I have

her nightly embraced by a Adi Tantimedh. So, did I pick this book up solely

because of the cover? Yes. So this is the first book in what's going to be trilogy,

I believe and it's already been sort of option to be made into a TV show. In this

story you are following this character named Ravi Singh who was previously a

religious scholar and a high school teacher who has become a private

investigator. He belongs to this London private investigation and security firm

that's filled with a whole lot of amoral characters.

He's thrust into a world where the rich, famous and powerful come to this

organization in order to solve their crimes and basically wash their dirty

laundry almost. And Ravi finds himself in over his head with the cases that he is

presented with: an up-and-coming politician who believes that his dead

fiance is haunting him, a rivalry between two authors that goes from online

harassment to physical violence, the search for a Pakistani girl who comes

from a rich family who's run away in order to get out of an arranged marriage

that has geopolitical consequences, and a banker in peril whose revelations bring

Ravi his first murder case. So will this be like a really in-depth character

focus mystery series? Probably not. But will this be like a fun, fast paced read?

Probably. So sometimes that's just what you want from mystery books is something

like fast paced, page-turner, interesting characters or caricatures. So yeah if you

are looking for something more along those lines as opposed to like noir

or something a little bit deeper, let's say, then you might enjoy her nightly

embrace. All right and the final book of that I have for you guys is Blanche on

the lam by Barbara Neely. So this is the one book that has more than a thousand

reviews although it still has like 1500 reviews. So it's not like a huge

bestseller by any means. In this book you are following Blanche White who is this

40 year old black woman who is like a domestic worker, like a maid or something

along those lines who works for this wealthy family. Suddenly someone is

killed in the household where Blanche works and Blanche would like to do

everything she can to just stay out of it because she has previous troubles

with the law. However it turns out that Blanche is the number-one suspect and

it's up to her to figure out who exactly did it so that way she can clear her own

name. So Blanche decides to tap into the old girl domestic network in order

to figure out what exactly is truly happening here so that way she can nab

the murderer in time. So this is one that falls more into like the cozy mystery

sort of category. So if you want something that is slightly more

lighthearted and fun, apparently Blanche is like this really sort of witty main

character from what I've heard from other people

who have read this book. So if that is something you are looking for if you

want something that is slightly more fun then you can pick up a Blanche on the

lam. All right those are all the books that I have for you guys. Leave a comment

down below letting me know if you read any of these or if you've heard of any

of these or if you plan on picking up any of these after watching this video.

Or you can leave me some other mystery recommendations down in the comments

Is Music a Universal Language? (Sort Of!) - Duration: 2:37.

The human race may be more unified by music than we think.

What if... across the world, specific patterns, frequencies and rhythms tie to specific human

emotions and applications?

What if music, is… universal?

There is a cross-cultural connection and relation when it comes to music, where people of all

different backgrounds might have the same opinions on specific musical notes and songs.

At Harvard University a researcher did a study of 750 internet users in over 60 countries

and had them listen to portions of songs that were collected from 86 different small societies

around the world.

They then answered questions on what they heard.

Each multiple choice option asked what the purpose of the song may have been for, such

as dancing, soothing a baby, healing illness etc…

The study showed that despite the fact that each participant had never heard the music

before, the MAJORITY of them were still able to relate it to the true purpose of each song.

For example, say there was a song used for healing in its culture of origin.

This study indicates that even people who were unfamiliar with the music would likely

guess it was song written for the purpose of healing!

So, the majority of participants efficiently chose the correct corresponding mood, emotion

or purpose, related to the song.

One of the main distinctions found in the study was also that certain songs seem to

oppose each other musically.

For example dance songs were normally faster and more rhythmically complex, and participants

interpreted these to be happier and well, more exciting…

Whereas lullabies, were slower, more simple, and interpreted to be sad and less exciting.

Future research will target participants that live in smaller-scale societies that may have

never heard music outside of their own culture.

That way we see what THEY have to say regarding the purposes of different music too.

But music isn't only found in the human race, there's major similarities with humans

and animal songs as well.

Take birds for instance!

One study showed the modal register - a.k.a. the chest voice - is found in both human speech

and animal song.

In fact, they are surprisingly similar even though we are very different species.

Can this be a way of showing whether or not music is truly universal?

What do you guys think?

Hello everyone, like science in your day?

You should subscribe, and speaking of universal, what sound do other planets make?!

Check Trace's video about the auroras on Jupiter.

One last thing, In that same study, when it came to detecting love songs, the participants

didn't do so well in accuracy.

Maybe love is just too complex afterall.

Thanks for watching Seeker!

May 22, 2018 | Tuesdays With Terry | Orphan's Promise - Duration: 1:08.

Hi! Tuesday again.... and I'm just realizing at this point in time that we are

looking at the end of a school year, at least here in the United States, and I

just want to mention to you how significant your giving is in the area

of education. One of the things we've come to realize in Orphan's Promise is we

can feed children, we can love children, we can clothe children, but without

education it's difficult for them to move forward. Education is power

information is power. And so, we're coming to the end of one school year and before

you can say boo it's going to be the start of another school year, so we're

already getting ready and looking at opportunities to support new schools, to

build new schools, to further the education of the children that we serve,

and we're only able to do that because of your generosity, your love and your

kindness. So, thank you! You're making a difference and children are learning

what it means to be leaders and what it means to have their place in the world,

where God can use them to make a difference. Thank you so much!
