Introverts can pick the proper words for not offending others.

happening now CIA director nominee Gina Haskell is on Capitol Hill just ahead of
what is expected to be a contentious confirmation hearing on Wednesday and
then in about an hour Melania Trump is going to speak at her first Rose Garden
event she will be establishing a formal platform 16 months after becoming first
lady and then just moments from now the White House briefing is set to begin as
the president digs deeper into discrediting the Russia investigation
even suggesting legal action against people working for the man leading the
probe Robert Moeller the president tweeting this today he said the angry
the 13 angry Democrats in charge of the Russian witch-hunters starting to find
out there is a court system in place that actually protects people from
injustice and just wait till the courts get to see your unrevealed conflicts of
interest he also tweeted this the Russia witch-hunt is rapidly losing credibility
House Intelligence Committee found no collusion coordination or anything else
with Russia so now the probe says okay what else is there how about obstruction
for a made-up phony crime there is no oh it's called fighting back I want to turn
out a CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta as he is there
in the briefing room awaiting Sara Sanders the president is not expected to
have any public appearances today so this is really the first chance to hear
from the White House about these 13 angry Democrats as the president put it
in their conflicts of interests what are we expecting Jim and and just set us
straight on some of what the president has said well I'll do my best to set you
straight on what the president said that's that's a difficult task sometimes
Brianna as you know but you know when the president was tweeting earlier this
morning we believe he was tweeting about in reference to those 13 angry Democrats
people that apparently work for the special counsel robert muller but you
know that is obviously a question that Sarah Sandra should be asked about here
at the upcoming briefing in just a few moments you know the other issue that
she's going to be dealing with obviously is the fallout from these comments these
these series of comments from former New York Mayor and now Trump
attorney Rudy Giuliani over the weekend he tried to clean up some of his
previous comments that will I guess not really something that the president
wanted to hear late last week over the weekend Giuliani spoke on the ABC this
week program and tried to clarify some of his comments that he made last week
when you sort of confused everybody about these reimbursements to Michael
Cohen for the payoff to stormy Daniels of course the president came out on
Friday and said that Rudy Giuliani is trying to get his facts straight
that his hearts in the right place and so on the question will be put I suppose
to Sarah Sanders as to what what exactly is going on with the information coming
out of this White House coming out of the Trump legal team when it comes to
the stormy Daniels case now obviously you know that is something that Sarah
Sanders kind of struggled with last week Brianna as you saw on that briefing on
Thursday we all asked her questions about you know why is it that we can't
rely on the information coming out of this White House yes she obviously had
been conquered contradicted herself by Rudy Giuliani because she had said that
the President had not reimbursed Michael Cohen and then of course Rudy Giuliani
said otherwise and at that press briefing last week Sarah Sanders used
those infamous words which are just going to follow her I suppose for some
time that she tries to give the best information that she has that obviously
struck a lot of people as not exactly telling the truth but just telling the
truth as she knew it at that time and so I suppose that's going to be an issue
moving forward but but Brianna as you were mentioning the the nomination of
Gina Haskell that's also a problem for this White House that they're trying to
get out of over the weekend it was reported that Gina hospital had even
talked about perhaps withdrawing her nomination for CIA director there are
obviously mounting questions up on Capitol Hill as to what her involvement
was during the Bush administration when it comes to this enhanced interrogation
techniques that were used after 9/11 during the Bush administration what kind
of knowledge that you have of those techniques
and because so many people think that those techniques constitute torture you
know there are a lot of people on both sides of the aisle here in Washington
who wonder whether or not she is the right person to lead the Central
Intelligence Agency of course you saw that tweet from the president saying
that he would like to see her confirm in the White House I talked to a senior
White House official earlier this morning who said no they're not backing
off Gina Haskell they do want to see her as the next CIA director but of course
that is something that's going to be asked about here in this briefing as
well because yeah when when these questions rashes you know Brianna you've
been in the room before when the questions are asked about nominees it is
it is listen to very closely what a White House press secretary has to say
will be looking for any kind of clues in Sarah Sanders comments when she comes
out to the podium on that as well Brianna all right Jim Acosta we'll be
checking back in with you thank you so much and as we do wait for that White
House briefing to begin it should be getting underway any moment now take a
listen to what Rudy Giuliani said about the president possibly pleading the
Fifth Amendment are you confident the president will not take the fifth in
this case oh how could I ever be confident of that
we're not what I'm when I'm facing a situation with the president and all the
other lawyers are in which every lawyer in America thinks he'd be a fool to
testify I've got a client who wants to testify please don't he said it
yesterday and you know Jay and I said to ourselves my goodness I you know we I
hope we get a chance to tell him the risk that he's taking Danna Bosch it
seems like this is what Sarah Sanders has been preoccupied with now for the
last few days is cleaning up after Rudy Giuliani that and potentially trying to
figure out how to deal with a CIA director nominee in trouble and you know
then it can keep going going down the list but obviously Rudy Giuliani is the
most out there it's the most public and it's giving her clearly the most
heartburn particularly after the briefing that she gave last week where
she just kind of surrendered and said look I'm doing the best I can with the
information that I have I spoke with Giuliani yesterday after he
met with the president and what he said to me among other things was that you
know the president and I have agreed I'm gonna focus on the legal issues he's
gonna focus on issues like North Korea and Iran and so forth and then this
morning the president said no set no fewer than four tweets about Russia so I
just it's it's impossible for Sarah Sanders to be able to control even if
she believes that there is an agreement for the president to not talk about this
anymore she knows better than that for that to happen he also suggested that
Michael Cohen could have paid off other woman if necessary and what he described
as nuisance payments I mean I would not consider that particularly helpful if
I'm president Trump and he's saying that what do you think Karen yeah I think
that that's just opening up so many other inquiries that are potentially
here it's potentially problematic for the president and that's kind of been
the theme of what Giuliana has been doing over the last several days which
is just talking and every time he talks that the story shifts a little bit more
and that opens up new questions and when you have people like stormy Daniels's
lawyer other women who have made allegations
all these are the things it's just it's it's fodder for people to be raising new
questions that could pull the president back into other legal battles and so the
fact that the president continues to support him at this point is remarkable
given that he's kind of creating more problems in an arena in which they were
trying to really shut things down in order to avoid this additional scrutiny
no I want to ask you Josh because as we do look at Sarah Sanders being
preoccupied with all of these questions about Geena Haspel is she going to be
confirmed by by the Senate it's going to focus obviously on her background when
it comes to enhanced interrogation techniques she saw clearly very early
that this was going to be an issue she actually seemed to have proffered her
resignation and there were a number of people including sarah sanders who were
part of a group from the white house who went to Langley to convince her not to
do that what did you make of that it's just a recognition that the White House
really doesn't want to suffer another major failed nomination at this point
it's a huge political problem for them they think they can push Gina hospital
over the edge it's very hard to stop a nominee with no filibuster
I think she's facing two big hurdles one is what did she do right though senators
request for information the CIA have not been met alright
they've been pressing for details how do we know what we think about her record
if we don't know what her record is and the second is what she's gonna be asked
at her hearing which is would you do it again okay maybe it was legal then maybe
she was following orders whatever she wants to say about that period in her
life what if President Trump orders her to do
something that's controversial or even against the current law what would her
reaction be that's the answer that a lot of senators gonna want to know part of
this has to do with what her role wasn't protecting other agents from engaging in
enhanced interrogation techniques at a time when it was questionable right well
that's exactly right and the problem here is that we have a president who
often Donnelly does not is not aware of the current regulations who has
supported intense interrogation techniques and even torture throughout
the campaign on his Twitter feed and she's going to be in the position of
telling the president United States no we can't do this it's against the law
and until she comes out and publicly says that that's exactly what she's
going to do a lot of people are not going to be comfortable with her heading
their agency what do you think Hera set Meir about the fact that as Gena Haspel
goes into this what's going to be a very contentious confirmation hearing there's
already a plan B in case this doesn't work out and that would be the deputy
DNI Susan Gordon her name out there at this point how unusual is it for to be
proceeding with a confirmation hearing and have a plan B I mean we always know
that sometimes they go to the plan B but a lot of times that's not well the
confirmation hearing is actually gonna go ahead with plan a right I think the
last time I can remember anything being this unorganized or what was what the
Harriet Miers Supreme Court potential nomination during the George W Bush
administration where everyone was like no no no you can't nominate her for the
Supreme Court and they had to kind of make a make a u-turn but no this is CLE
it's clear that this administration has had difficulty navigating the nomination
process and I think that part of the reason that they like the idea of her
being the first woman and we all know that President President Trump likes the
idea of torture he bragged about it to Josh's point along with the campaign
trail and it's part of his tough-guy persona
you know during the Obama administration some proceeds the united states is
backing off leading from behind so they like the tough-guy persona that that
that trump was bringing in and during the campaign we obviously a lot of us
expressed concern about well wait a minute
you know torture is not legal that was also something that him and John McCain
Senator McCain bumped heads on as Republicans over that issue
I don't think Trump cares I think that he sees that as an asset and if she's
prepared during the confirmation hearings I think they're prepared to
back her on that part of it because he sees that as a political win that people
the American people will say we need to be tough with terrorists whether she can
survive that or not she's used to being covert she's not used to being a
political appointee I think they're concerned about whether she can she can
make it through the confirmation hearings if that tough questioning comes
she does not have a lot of room for error all right we're gonna have you
guys stand by we have a lot more to talk about as we expect the briefing to begin
here any moment and as we await that new reported allegation surfacing that
perhaps allies or a private sector company or entity hired private spies to
get dirt on Obama officials in efforts to undermine the Iran nuclear deal we'll
be discussing that and speaking of the president accusing John Kerry of illegal
shadow shadow diplomacy efforts revealed that the former Secretary of State has
been talking with Iranians and other and US allies behind the scenes we're gonna
hear Kerry's response to that and Senator John McCain as he fights brain
cancer reportedly wants two of his fiercest former opponents to eulogize
him and he does not want the sitting president there

of the extra budget bill.

Like you said, in about half an hour from now... the National Assembly Speaker will
meet with the floor leaders of the country's four negotiating blocs.
The biggest issue is whether the ruling Democratic Party of Korea will accept an independent
counsel probe into an online opinion rigging scandal that allegedly involves one of its
lawmakers.
An influential blogger is suspected to have used a computer program to boost the number
of "likes" for online comments critical of the Moon Jae-in administration in a bid to
smear conservatives.
The ruling party indicated it would accept the demand but on the condition that opposition
parties simultaneously vote on the government's extra budget bill during a plenary session
on May 24th.
The main opposition Liberty Korea Party and the centrist Bareun Mirae Party say the probe
must come first... and the ruling party shouldn't link it with other issues.
Now, all eyes will be on whether parties will be able to reach a last minute deal.
The National Assembly Speaker has set a deadline of 2PM today -- so in less than four hours.
He leaves for an overseas trip on Wednesday... and both his term and the floor leader of
the ruling party's term come to an end this month.
But a compromise looks like it may be difficult -- with the ruling party saying it won't make
any further concessions... and the main opposition saying they won't budge unless the probe is
accepted.... no strings attached.
But there's also a belief that some sort of breakthrough is possible as the standstill
has been in place for over a month... and there's pressure on the National Assembly

that when you eat the actual delicious thing you want you feel more satisfied
and are less interested in continuing to stuff your face

that how much of it can you actually eat
a few shards maybe that not an entire wedge
the same applies to wines and chocolate
there a few people can eat a whole 100 g bar of Val Rona chocolate in one go
that easily perform this feat with chocolate of the lesser quality
Mahler wrote in his flavor study
of course that doesn't mean you should start eating cheese and chocolate for every meal
clean foods like fruits vegetables lean proteins and whole grain should still make up most of your diet what this might mean however is that
you shouldn't feel guilty about adding some cheese to your sell it or saying yes to that
amazing desert when you're at your favorite restaurante

Good morning.
Ideal spring weather is expected on this Parents' Day here in Korea, and southern regions will
also see bright skies.
Rain brought the temperatures down in the southern regions over the extended weekend
and there will be another breezy afternoon today with big gaps in readings around the
country.
Seoul and Daejeon will get up to 22 degrees Celsius.
Gyeongju will be breezy with a high of 16 degrees.
The air quality will be normal to good.
With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.
Bright skies with pleasant weather conditions are in store for most of South Korea, while
parts of North Korea will be under plenty of sunshine with warm highs.
Partly cloudy skies are in store for Bangkok along with high humidity.
Over in New Zealand, a storm is brewing south of New Zealand.
It will bring heavy rain and potentially damaging winds with 8 meter waves hitting the coastline.
Heading to North America, it's going to be a great spring week in the D.C. area.
As for South America, Rio de Janeiro hasn't seen the sunshine for a few days, and more
showers are expected on Tuesday.
