Cake "Trolls. Rose" - I - Tortodel! - Duration: 7:21.Hello everyone, today we will make cake with rose
There are a lot of options for cakes with this heroine, but exactly
This option which will be in today's video I like most and I am now more often used in design
other thematic cakes, so start
I start with the main character, I'll draw it on mastic, I've already told the mastic, it's the top product for
tightening, here also added kmc-it is a thickener for mastics
immediately dyed it in pink, that is, chose the lightest shade on her face and in such a color painted mastic, you can
translate the picture directly to the mastic, I showed this method in the cake pop art
you can see, you can also use a waffle or sugar picture, but today I decided to paint
I printed an image suitable for the size of my cake, that is, the image will be on the side of the cake and completely her face and tail
we will do a little later, you can draw at once with a pencil on the mastic
draw if you are so convenient, I just immediately easier to paint with a brush, I will be water-soluble dyes and I will also use
titanium dioxide, so that the color is more dense and I still have it here
White areas I also need to draw with titanium dioxide
dilute the dyes, I will be as always vodka, as vodka evaporates faster and my dye will dry faster on mastic
Here such beauty at me it has turned out, now it is necessary for us to make her hair, I will do hair by means of
waffle paper from the gel gloss and vodka, that is, the proportions one to one, as I did the video with the pion
openwork, I made here is a mixture that is painted in pink
water-soluble dyes, it's such a miracle the mixture I got, now from the waffle paper I arbitrarily cut out
strands of hair with scissors
these strands I cover completely with a mixture and
I paste to the rose straight so I do her hair
because bald rose is certainly a sight not for the faint of heart
here you see one part I already did, that is, it's arbitrary strands that I glued, the gloss gel does not give our paper
wetted, and vodka accordingly makes it softer and faster drying and waffle paper, thanks to vodka
also arbitrarily you can crush, that is, adding volume
our hairs, whether it is possible to do this of non- gel gloss, neutral gels
for sure you can, I just did not try, if the girls you tried to do peony
on my video with a neutral gel, then write in the comments, I think many will be wondering how it turns out
waffle peony with a neutral gel, from green mastic we need to do
the bezel is for the hair, and also from the blue mastic I will make florets for her rim
here are these 3 leaves on it will be on the rim, on a soft mate I slightly straighten each petal
I paste the bezel with gel gloss, attach the mastic to the waffle paper and
superfluous cut off, we do
leaves and
paste here
our flowers also, everything will use gel gloss, you can use food glue
which is also made of cmc or kmc, can be glued with a condensed milk
volumetric tail I will do the same carrot tops in carrot cakeas
video is also there, I will use wire, this is 24 number, waffle paper and again a mixture for floristry
cover completely with a mixture and by overlapping strands of waffle paper, we will glue
all on one basis, that is, on a wire
trying to stick only the base, these petals will be
slightly elevated to dry each layer faster, or
first impose, and then we send to the oven, I showed already also a video about
peony wafer, there I sent to a regime for yogurt
40 degree maximum
Of course her hair can be made immediately from mastic, we also need to make strands, but this will make our cake heavier, weight the picture that will stand
vertical, which also will be attached to the cream, when we dry our front side, then the front one can be
turn and a few strands also glued to the wrong side
such I will need about three pieces, I'll send it to the oven so that all this will dry up sooner, you can leave it at room temperature
the cake is lined with cream cheese cream
I will paint with the help of an airbrush, I will have a color transition from green to yellow
on the front side of the cake cream must be
frozen, that is, from the refrigerator should be and if you are afraid that your mastic will begin to melt
from a cream, from a condensate more correctly who will act on a cream after a refrigerator can cover the return party or side
decor gel, or gel gloss, or else covered with chocolate, I'm sure of this mastic, this is usually my tested product for the tightening
I already used it many times for cream cakes
glue right in the sidewall and
now paste
tail, and we still have it
here a small piece of blue mastic is rubbery, there on the tail
Here is such a plague it turned out we have, sidewall, I will decorate the top of the cake with various pouches, I will also use more
dyed sugar
so that we could have a more green surface, we also add daisies
since we have quite a massive
the main heroine, I believe that you do not need nothing more to weight this cake
additional decor, otherwise there and the surface of the cake will be completely invisible and
it will be hard all the same to look
Here's a cake rose I got, I still added mastic letters to the substrate with the help of molds of silicone
where she bought waffle paper, silicone mold, airbrush, in general everything I use in this video also including
water-soluble dyes, I'll leave the link in the description, I hope this video was for you
interesting, as always we wish good luck in your endeavors, very, very kind

Got a Minute? Rear-View 02 - Blade - Duration: 1:18.Blade is not a GOOD movie.
It's cheesy, it's over-the-top, it's melodramatic, and it's chock full of bad dialogue.
And none of that matters, because it's not trying to be anything more than a ridiculous,
fun, adult vampire action flick - with some kung fu thrown in for good measure.
So what makes Blade work?
I think it knows exactly what it is and what it isn't.
What it is is a B-movie with A-list style.
The beautifully-shot opening sequence gives an incredible hint as to the movie's visual
aesthetic and while the rest of the film never quite lives up to that scene, there's still
a ton of style on display.
Director Stephen Norrington knew what he wanted and - for the most part - he got it.
Wesley Snipes is clearly having the time of his life as the title character, spouting
corny one-liners through gritted teeth and kicking vampire ass.
The movie holds up surprisingly well for being 20 years old.
Yes, the visual effects are terrible in spots, but that's about the only thing which truly
dates Blade.
It is, of course, not for everyone - the R-rating is earned with several disturbingly gorey
but still goofy moments.
But Blade knows its audience and plays to it well.
And its cheesy but quotable dialogue and visual flair are no doubt factors in what keeps that
audience coming back after two decades.

Behind the Seams: The Designers of Raffles Runway - Duration: 2:20.Jingzhi: So we started about July? Yeah, after June hols.
So we basically started to discuss what kind of style we want for our own show.
So the first part was trying to come up with our own designs and stuff, then
so basically our chair, then she'll look at our designs and she'll approve of them.
So after that we just go ahead and look for our own materials, and make our garments.
Usually this process is during the second half of the year, maybe like October onwards?
Then we also start looking for venues,
and then we have our model auditions,
so we have to plan for that,
and also our model trainings and rehearsals.
I think it's actually making the actual garment,
because a lot of times the design might seem nice to you on paper,
but when you actually try to make it you realise that some things aren't feasible,
like, say, the fabric you want is too expensive and out of the budget,
or it just doesn't work out well.

Show em Madri e visita a Duomo em Milão - Duration: 24:25.- ANGRA - SUBTITLES: Tiago Anderson tiago.asm@hotmail.com
One more day here in Madrid.
Tell me, partner, the name of this city.
Sorry?
- Which city is this? - We are in Madrid, Spain.
We are back to Spain.
We are in this come and go.
First in Barcelona, after we went to Portugal and now Spain again.
And... This is it!
It's where many things happen including the flamenco guitar.
Isn't it, Rafa?
Madrid?
I think that it's in Madrid.
There's...
- Seville would be... - The focus, indeed.
But, Flamenco is typical from Spain.
I remember...
that there's a school of Flamenco guitar.
I know that there are some guys who...
- Oh, yeah. - Yes.
But I won't remember the name right now.
I thought that the people used to play the guitar not bells.
Not bells?
Can you explain the joke?
Do it like that man...
Like the guy from TV.
You said that there was a school of teaching.
Oh gosh!
Flamenco.
In bells. (Em sino - PT)
I got it.
I got it, I got it. Okay.
I prefer the guitar.
I will have to agree with Bruno Sá's opinion.
Yes, yes.
But do you know the difference between me and Bruno Sá?
I am not named Bruno Sá.
Bruno spoils the joke just by his existence.
Ah, crazy Madrid.
I have to say something about Madrid.
Madrid is the same as always.
What can you say about this?
It has changed just a little.
The same weather...
This is the crazy Madrid, rude.
Madrid is awesome.
Madrid is awesome.
Here we are in a beautiful day in Montpellier.
France, South of France.
This is the 10th concert of this tour.
You know, during the tour people get a little strange.
They start doing strange things.
Well, anyway...
Today the concert is in a very traditional showhouse, but a small one.
It's crowded and it's gonna rock.
This is it. Very cool.
Look at this. People act strange in the tour.
So, as I said, people act strangely.
I was not kidding.
Are you mocking me?
Did you believe that I woudn't record the concert?
No, Carlito! No, Carlito!
We'll record that!
- We'll record everything. - One more card with 64 gigas.
That's it!
We have it.
Where's the concert?
I said it to the cameras.
But I repeat for you, Carl.
In Montpellier.
Montpellier.
Montpe... who? Montpe... who?
Montpellier!
- Montpe... what? - Montpellier.
Oh fuck!
Let's go?
Yes.
Today we a rock n' roll concert.
In a small stage so everyone can remeber where we came from.
And never forget that!
The audience is here. The place is crowded, full of people.
French fans really love the band.
They follow the band since the very begining.
The most part of them that are here.
And we try to show them that this is the best line-up ever.
That's gonna be a great concert.
- This is it. - Yeah!
Good concert, guys.
Good show.
Here we are in Milan,
today. Aren't we, Carlito?
Milan ( In Italian).
The Milan class.
What are we eating today?
No, no... You're speaking Spanish. Give us a moment.
Ignore what he spoke, right?
Are you sure that it's this way?
I don't think so.
The house... the administration is there.
So, the exit must be there, too.
No, man.
As I was saing...
We are going to Milan downtown, just to walk around
show Milan downtown to these two creatures here
that don't know the place.
Do you know?
Not the downtown.
Do you know? No?
He's on the phone.
This is it.
Walking around by subway in Milan.
Ah, let's go by...
- Train. - Subway.
A special subway.
A special daddy's subway.
Look.
Daddy's seat.
Sit there. I'll be stand up.
I stayed for a long time laid down.
It was long hours.
Yes.
Some 12 hours travelling. Is that right?
More.
We arrived at four here.
What is it, man?
Take it. Take it, Bruno. And then?
Is that rude or not?
Is it rude or not, this Duomo?
What did you think about this Duomo?
I'm shocked. It'd very beautiful.
Leave the subway and face this... it was kind of shocking.
I had been to Notre Dame, but this one shocked me more.
For some reason.
Notre Dame is much taller.
Notre Dame, is maybe from the Gothic period.
This one is all made with marble. It's all white, you see.
It's wonderful, man.
And it has...
But it is washed some years. There are some periods it is darker.
I can imagine, but
it is different from stone. Stone is naturtally darker.
Mable is...
It's shocking, man.
The sculptures are all in marble. Can you see?
Each of those things there are full of details.
Everything.
Each of those stuff.
It's full of details. When you get close you can see that.
I was talking about the Stained glass.
Yes, you said that they were not so beautiful.
I said that from the outside they were not so special.
But, from the inside, they are brilliant.
Hard, isn't it?
But they are recent, uh? Those Stained glasses?
Are you trying to justfy your opinion?
It's hard.
Milan gelato.
Gelato.
You were caught red-handed, uh?
Now I am cold. It's very cold now.
So now, what are we doing?
Pick up...
Sá!
The camera goes together.
Sá!
Sá!
Sá!
This is coffee.
Don't confuse with other stuff.
Something nice happened. We met everybody here.
Everybody.
- What do we want? - What do we want?
I want some coooofeeee! (Brazilian meme)
While the guys are drinking wine, we are here waiting for them.
Just waiting.
Searching some water, maybe.
If the water doesn'r cost 10 euros.
Today is the show in Milan.
We played some times in this place. Live Club.
What did Bruno do?
My first concert was here.
Happy to be back.
First show with ANGRA?
My first concert with ANGRA was in this showhouse.
But today with your drums, right?
Today with my drums, my whole kit.
The other time the drums was not so good, uh?
A 24 floor drums just to be different.
But the game is other now.
The game is other now.
The game is other, right?
Hey Barba. Is your premiere in Milan?
My premiere in Milan. I never played here.
I came twice to Europe. One with Almah the other with ANGRA.
Two years ago, one year and a half, maybe.
One year and a half.
Milan, I don't know why, I hadn't come here, yet.
- We saw the Duomo yesterday. - Yes.
- It's wonderful. - Aggressive.
I was shocked.
I have seen many beautiful things here.
Starting with me.
No. I saw you everyday. You're my beauty model.
This is it.
We are about to start our soundcheck.
One more day, one more concert.
Let's go.
Guys, I'm here with this great friend of mine.
Carlos Dangelo.
My friend for more than 30 years.
Carlos Zara. He's known as Carlos Zara. Zarinha in São Paulo.
I will tell you who he is.
I studied with Carlos Zara when I was only 15 years old,
in highschool.
He is a bass player.
Fan of Iron Maiden.
He was the guy that introduced me to the metal scene in São Paulo.
That is one of the metal sources in Brazil.
I was with him for the first time in Black Jack.
I was with him for the first time in Woodstock Discos,
in São Paulo.
I was with him for the first time in Brazilian metal concert.
It was Centuria band.
We were together. Do you remember?
Cachorrão.
We went to see A Chave in Centro Cultural Vergueiro.
So, man... this is it.
I am really happy. He lives here.
In Milan.
I was with Maurão one of these days in Portugal.
Great.
He sent you a hug.
He was upset because I remeber his old parody he did.
True.
He had a lot.
You met Maurão in that video I recorded in Portugal.
He had a lot of metal bands. He sings very well.
But I loved to see him singing old songs. It was funny.
- This is it, man. - Very good.
So, it's...
Ah, man...
There's something special. I know I don't let you talk.
- I'm like that, uh? - I can tell.
I am relaxed.
It's too much happiness.
- That's the following... - Great Rafa.
Carlos was the guys that introduced me to Queensrÿche music.
Before the Operation: Mindcrime, before Empire...
Carlos had a VHS from a Queensrÿche concert, Live In Japan.
Live in Japan.
And also the vynil from the Rage For Order, and The Warning.
The first albums from Queensrÿche.
We were fans of them. They were not so famous that time.
- It was difficult to get their work. - Yes.
Some years later we watched Queensrÿche in Rock In Rio.
They were announcing the Empire album.
- In 91. - 91.
And today, almost 30 years after,
we are watching together the Geoff Tate concert. And his is here, under us,
the same bus, sharing the bus with us.
So, you can speak now.
I don't see you for a long time.
Man, maybe 10 years we don't meet.
10 years, maybe.
The important is that both of us dedicate our lives to music.
In different ways.
Yes.
But, music is what takes us forward.
Yes.
Talking about that you moved to Italy maybe 14 years ago.
14 years.
And you work composing.
Yes, yes.
I am a composer. I write song to TV, to documentaries
to what is necessary to write.
We composed many thing together.
We studied music composition together.
That's true.
In São Paulo.
Yes.
And I remember that you were my first musician friend.
Dedidcated.
That guy who studies every day, that thinks high,
thinks to conquer things with pure dedication.
You believe in your things.
You had a Fender, remember?
Yes, I do.
I learnt with you that I had to work hard, study hard.
We took those Guitar Player.
Because music depends a lot on this.
The real music.
If you want to have a solid base for you musician career,
you have to study a lot.
It's not fun all the time. Not having fun all the time.
No.
There's much dedication, much hard work.
Much sacrifice.
Many hours working hard.
And questions, and searches and researches...
You do not know where it is going to end.
Uncertainty.
You start to study something, but you don't know how to use that.
You don't know if those hours will be something useful for you.
And don't limit to imitate things you see,
things that you listen.
Try to develop something that is really your expression.
For sure.
This is difficult, but studying and dedicating, we get there.
Yes.
You spend much of your time at Discovery Channel, right?
- Doing the soundtrack. - Yes.
- You also did the Olimpic Games theme. - Yes.
To SKY TV.
To SKY.
- And many other channels, right? - Yes, yes.
I work with almost all Italian TV Channels.
That's nice.
He is one of the most known soundtrack composers in Italy.
And we studied together, started together.
And it's a great pleasure to have you here today.
A great pleasure, man.
I am very happy.
Me too.
Big Rafa.

Republicans Don't Need Money to Win Midterms - The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper - Duration: 2:42.Opposers, if you're like me,
you woke up an hour-and-a-half ago...
to a victory.
TV REPORTER: Republicans are waking up to a victory,
a win in that state's eighth congressional district.
Debbie Lesko, the projected winner in a special election.
But here's the thing, in a race that on paper
really should have been a blowout,
it ended up in a single-digit margin.
Oh, yeah, baby, a single digit.
The number one. Ha-ha.
As in "the Republican won."
Granted, Lesko won by five points
in a district Trump won by over 20,
so this race was a little closer than it should have been,
but so was Emmanuel Macron all day yesterday,
and, I got to tell you, that went well.
See, the left keeps talking about
a supposed blue wave in the upcoming midterms.
(laughs) Republicans have all the tools to crush it this fall.
Just look at their fundraising.
TV REPORTER: Republicans are worried about a blue wave,
they also have reason to fear a green one, as well.
Democrats are out-fundraising Republican incumbents,
so far, Politico reports that at least 43 House Republicans
have raised less money than their Democratic challengers.
Shut it.
Of course Democrats raised more money.
They need it to buy that super expensive milk that comes
from cows who are organic, grass-fed,
and have Audible accounts.
Not me. I get my milk
from the most (bleep)-up cow in the barn.
(laughter)
Republicans don't need money.
Just look at Morris County, New Jersey,
where the local GOP held a fundraiser
featuring Fox personality Greg Gutfeld
as the keynote speaker.
Now, they paid Greg $30,000,
and all in, the event cost $64,000,
but it was worth it, because they brought in
a whopping-- less than that.
So now, their entire war chest
is down to a little less than 14 grand.
But 14 grand, that's more than enough.
I went online to see who they could afford to hire
for their next fundraiser, and let's just say we might
be seeing appearances from the likes of Rockapella,
Liza Minnelli look-a-like Suzanne Goulet,
or my favorite: Right Said Fred.
This, this is why I'm not worried about the midterms.
We have all the money and energy we need.
And as far as a blue wave is concerned, I can assure you,
the water is very calm and very red.
Like, super red.
Someone might have had an accident in the water.

3 proofs that debunk flat-Earth theory | NASA's Michelle Thaller - Duration: 7:05.So, Oscar, you asked the question, "What are some of the easiest ways that you can
prove that the Earth is round?"
Because apparently, this is something that we're debating—I have no idea why.
That's a hard thing for me to even start talking about because there are so many proofs
that the Earth is round, it's difficult to know where to start.
And it's not okay to think that the Earth is flat.
This is not a viable argument.
I have friends who have been on the International Space Station, they have orbited the Earth
once every 90 minutes; I've had personal experience with people who have been up in space and
can see with their own eyes that the Earth is round.
And of course, we've taken all of these amazing pictures from space; they're so
beautiful, all those pictures of the Earth.
So I don't really know what's going on right now with this 'Earth is flat' thing,
but I will tell you that this is one of the things I really enjoyed teaching my own astronomy
class about because there are proofs all around you.
It is not difficult to know that the Earth is round.
In fact, people have known of this for way more than 2,000 years.
The ancient Greeks actually had a number of really elegant, wonderful proofs that the
earth was a sphere.
So let's start from the simple to the slightly more complicated.
One of the things you can see yourself, with a pair of binoculars, is if you actually go
out to a lake and there are boats on that lake, the farther away a boat is the more
the bottom of the boat will disappear, and you'll basically just see the mast of the
boat.
And as a boat goes farther and farther away the last thing you will see is the very top
of the mast of that boat, and that's because the boat is actually going over the horizon
that's curved—and that means that as it goes farther and farther away you see less
and less of the bottom of it, and more of the top of that.
You can see that with binoculars by an ocean, by a lake, it's really easy.
That wouldn't happen if the Earth were flat—you would simply see the boat getting smaller
and smaller and smaller as it went farther away, but you'd be able to see the whole
thing with the same proportions.
Now, another way that you can tell that we're on a sphere is to think about how there's
something called the tropics on the Earth, and the tropics are places near the equator
of the earth were sometimes the sun is overhead in the sky.
This was actually something that the Greeks used, not only to prove that the Earth was
round about 2000 years ago, but they actually measured the circumference of the Earth, accurate
to within just a couple percent.
2,000 years ago we've known that the Earth was round.
There was a really brilliant Greek scientist called Eratosthenes, and Eratosthenes noticed
that there was a town called Syene, and on a certain date the sun would actually shine
straight down to the bottom of a well.
That meant the sun was directly overhead; you could look down a well and see the sun
shining back at you.
And on the very same date, farther away in the city of Alexandria, that didn't happen.
The sun was not directly overhead, it was a slight angle, and all that Eratosthenes
did was he measured the difference in the angle of the sun.
It was straight overhead in Syene; in Alexandria it was a little bit less than overhead, and
he rationed that that change in angle from one city to another was probably indicative
of us being on a curved surface, and you could make all kinds of measurements even between
those two cities and see that the angles were different—the sun was at a different place
in the sky.
Using this, he actually measured the circumference of the Earth, and he got it right 2,000 years
ago.
So another really simple proof is that on any given date, at different cities and different
places around the world, the sun is at different angles in the sky.
That wouldn't happen if the Earth wasn't round.
Then there are some other proofs that are a little more obscure, but they're actually
really lovely.
One is to observe what happens during a lunar eclipse.
Now, a lunar eclipse happens when the Earth casts a shadow on the moon.
The moon actually goes dark, in fact, if you've seen one you can actually see the Earth's
shadow go across the moon, and when the moon is entirely in the Earth's shadow the moon
looks kind of dark and even kind of red-colored; it's really, really beautiful.
What's happening, in that case, is that the sun is on one side of the Earth—the
Earth is in the middle—and the Earth is casting a shadow on the moon, and as the shadow
moves across the moon you'll notice that the shadow is curved, it's round.
And so something like the sun that's bigger than the Earth and is able to cast a shadow
of the Earth on the moon can actually show you the shape of the Earth.
"Ah-ha!" you might say, "but could the Earth to be a disk?
Could it be flat but it's actually still shaped like a disk, not like a sphere?"
There was a Greek scientist called Aristarchus and what he noticed was that you can get a
lunar eclipse at many different angles where the sun is; sometimes the shadow goes straight
across the moon, sometimes it just kind of glances the moon—just a little bit is in
shadow just on the top or on the bottom.
From every different vantage point, every different angle the sun is casting a shadow,
you always get a perfectly curved shadow.
The only shape that can cast a shadow that's curved from any direction you put the light
is a sphere.
So people have known that the Earth is spherical for thousands of years.
It's not okay to say that the Earth is flat.
This is some sort of strange denial, I don't know where it comes from, and it's something
where I keep getting this question.
We really need to put this question to bed because we've known the Earth is a sphere
for a long time.
There's even some well-meaning people who say, "I don't really believe the Earth
is flat, but I'm not really sure what to think about it."
And they've asked me some interesting questions, like they've heard that space is a very
hot, that when you go up above the atmosphere the temperature of space is millions of degrees,
which is true.
The problem is there's basically no air at all.
So the gas right around the Earth is actually millions of degrees hot.
That's actually true, but there's almost none of it, there's almost nothing.
Like one single proton whizzes by you at a temperature of a million degrees, it's not
the same as temperature in the air, it's not the same thing at all.
So that's one that I get sometimes.
And the other one is—I actually said this to somebody, and I couldn't believe they
had never thought of it—that with binoculars you can see planets, you can see Saturn and
Jupiter, you can see Mars with a telescope, the sun and the moon, everything else you
see in the solar system is a sphere.
So we're the one thing that is different?
And that actually made somebody who was more interested in actually hearing information,
that actually got them to think.
They were like, "You're right… everything else we take a picture of is a sphere!"

The Disneyland Khrushchev Story: A "Propaganda Masterstroke" - Duration: 6:56.Today I'm going to talk about the Nikita Khrushchev Disneyland story.
It's the story of how in 1959 the Premier of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khrushchev, visited
the United States and threw a bit of a hissy fit when he found out that he couldn't go to Disneyland.
It's a Disney story that has been told many times over the years.
However upon researching the topic to make my own video on it, I found that it wasn't
as cut and dry as most retellings make it out to be.
In fact, one reporter, who was a part of the press junket the entire trip, considered it
a "propaganda masterstroke."
By 1959 Nikita Khrushchev was already leading the Soviet Union for about six years.
It wasn't the absolute hottest point in the Cold War but we were, without a doubt,
in the thick of it.
The hot topic was the divided Germany and West Berlin, ICBMs were already in play, and
just two years earlier Sputnik would be launched into orbit, kicking off the space race.
US and Soviet relations were, to put it lightly, not great.
There were attempts to try and improve relations, or at the very least keep them from worsening.
One of those attempts included the US inviting Khrushchev to tour the United States over
a 13-day trip in September of that year.
The trip took him from coast to coast and involved very busy days that varied from formal
occasions such as speaking at the UN to touring corn farms.
Now here's the thing: Americans at the time were generally in favor of the trip if it
meant deescalation.
However his welcome certainly wasn't a warm one.
There weren't streets lined with cheering citizens.
Audiences at many speaking engagements were, at best, silent and cold.
Even the Mayor of LA, Charles Poulson spoke out against Khrushchev's "We will bury
you" phrase during his tour of the city.
For a leader coming from the Soviet Union where that kind of dissent was usually "taken
care of", it comes as no surprise that he found himself getting disgruntled during the
trip on multiple occasions.
By the time the trip had begun, the idea of a pitstop at Disneyland was already considered
and subsequently ruled out for security and logistical reasons.
However the idea once again resurfaced during the trip and it was while Khrushchev and his
family were flying to LA that their teams on the ground were tasked with making it happen.
Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, who was Khrushchev's tour guide for the trip, reached out to LAPD
Chief William Parker to arrange the security for it.
The issue was, Disneyland was in Anaheim, and so it was outside of his jurisdiction.
So he reached out to the Orange County Sheriff to see if the trip was possible.
The sheriff felt it would be a difficult trip to police.
It was already too late in the day to clear out the park of guests, and with the crowds
Disneyland attracted, there weren't enough officers to ensure Khrushchev's safety.
Like I said, it wasn't a warm welcome.
This is where the story splits.
As most tell it, Parker would ultimately veto the idea and later that day when told it wasn't
happening, Khrushchev would throw his temper tantrum, which we'll talk about in a bit.
However reporter Jim Fain, who was a part of the tour's press junket, reported that
ultimately "the Orange County Sheriff offered to make available all the policemen he could
spare" and that the final decision on whether or not to make the impromptu trip was left
up to Soviet General Nikolai Zakharov, who was in charge of Khrushchev's safety.
It was Zakharov, alleges Fain, who made the call to veto the trip, which would mean that
it was the Soviets who axed it, not the US.
Later that day Khrushchev and his family would arrive in LA and he would end up touring 20th
Century Fox with his wife.
They got to watch the filming of a scene from the 1960 Shirley MacLaine film, Can-Can.
They attended a star studded luncheon with over 400 guests that
included the likes of Frank Sinatra, Gary Cooper, Bob Hope, and Marilyn Monroe.
Now at this point Khrushchev's wife, Nina Khrushchev, was informed of the decision to
veto the Disneyland trip, but Nikita wasn't.
As fate would have it, during the luncheon actor David Niven, chatting Mrs. Khrushchev,
asked if they were planning to visit Walt's famous theme park.
She explained that they couldn't make it.
As the tale goes Frank Sinatra leaned over to Niven at that point and supposedly said
"tell the old broad you and I will take 'em down there this afternoon."
It was around then, while Khrushchev was going to speak to the crowd, that Mrs.
Khrushchev decided to write him a note dropping the bad news about the Disneyland trip.
That is when he went on his somewhat famous rant about Disneyland.
He said:
"But just now I was told that I could not go to Disneyland.
I asked: 'Why not?'
What is it, do you have rocket-launching pads there?
I do not know.
And just listen to what reason I was told.
We, which means the American authorities, cannot guarantee your security if you go there.
What is it?
Is there an epidemic of cholera there or something?
Or have gangsters taken over the place that can destroy me?
Then what must I do?
Commit suicide?
This is the situation I am in — your guest.
For me the situation is inconceivable.
I cannot find words to explain this to my people."
The outburst raises some questions.
Did Khrushchev know that it was Zakharov, who allegedly shut down the plan, or was he
simply misinformed?
LAPD Chief Parker later claimed that the move had to have been political.
Why else would Mrs. Khrushchev wait until that very moment to drop the bad news on her husband?
Why not right after he spoke?
Why not earlier in the day?
Again, this was a trip in which Khrushchev was trying to find every opportunity to boast
about the Soviet Union, and so understandably getting to mock the safety concerns of a Disneyland
trip was a pretty nice target.
As Jim Fain would later put it, "it was a propaganda masterstroke and made headlines.
Only a few of us found time to check out what really happened and the stories we wrote never
really overtook the fast-moving news events of that aerial circus."
Ultimately it wasn't that big of a deal and to be honest it was never at risk of being a big deal
and in terms of the cold war it would end up a footnote to a footnote,
but it was an interesting example of how Disneyland occasionally wound end up
as a player in larger stories and it was a testament to Walt's park that at only 4
years old, it was already such a popular destination for world leaders.
Oh and as for Khrushchev?
A few years later in 1963, during a goodwill tour to the Soviet Union, San Jose vice mayor
Joseph Pace arranged for a copy of the film, Disneyland USA, to be sent to Moscow so that
Khrushchev could, at least in spirit, finally visit Disneyland.

Planning my new amateur radio ham shack - Duration: 14:02.WARNING - COMPUTER GENERATED SUBTITLES
hello and welcome back my name's Callum from DX Commander and if you've
caught up with the channel recently you know that I've got an opportunity to
build chat number two down my workshop in Wendy's I was about called a
stockroom but supposedly a workshop keeps all that paint in there she pays
furniture doesn't sell the furniture when she's painted it all up and hasn't
quite got the confidence for that so we just keep it furniture so we are given
all this stuff so anyway so so this is all about shack design and
considerations and I just thought I'd run through because when we first start
in this hobby we generally drill a hole through a wall somewhere get a piece of
coax up for a VHF aerial you know and then two weekends later we drilled oil
somewhere else in the house to get another piece of Carrick's up for a g5
RV and then a couple of months later in the spring we drilled another hole
somewhere else and put another piece of Caring except this time it goes
somewhere else and before you know you've got holes all over the walls and
you've got a desk which doesn't work it's in the wrong place so a couple of
years later you managed to get the opportunity to do it all again and this
time you can do it right apparently but you still get it wrong because you you
lay it out incorrectly you've the cables are in the wrong place you've got an
extension you have you take the rip if you ever need to take the radio out you
realize you can't get to behind it so I've come up with a number of solutions
which features these I've actually got a remote switch outside so I've got one
coax coming in even that was a mistake because I've got two V fos here and I
would like to listen to another band or the same band on a different aerial with
the VF O's tracked and synchronized it's a really cool trick do you put one BFO
here with the other VF oh here you could have a vertical on this one a dipole on
this one and you hear the signal on the stereo if you've got a 2 V over radio
but anyway I've got an opportunity to get it you know right ish but because
it's not actually in my house I don't mind it's a bit flaky so the
considerations I think anybody should do before they start building and
everything else is first of all working out where your gears going so now you
can do this with graph paper but obviously I really do this this is how
OCD I am so on the screen here I've got a my where's my mouse over itself I'll
just zoom in a bit on this this is actually in Visio will it go to 300% in
Visio and and I've drawn everything to exactly the right size so that is hey
should come down a bit really shouldn't run all that far that's a 590 that's
mighty s2000 that's the 919 and that was a little ft 8800 it's the 84 K and this
- shelf and this is actually more or less how it ended up you see in front of
me here with the the 990 there this shelf and this is this monitor here and
this monitor actually goes up a dairy sits on a.m. and it or could flip over
to also it would be be really cool to put it over here if I needed to work
over there because I had some different radios over here as he so happens can I
control said that unto idea undo oh yeah why doesn't control said work okay
whatever way I think it thinks it just closed it anyway you get oh we're back
Oh somebody's going terribly wrong stop me it's controlling my my system can we
control tab to the other window let's have a look post lining show the shite
Shack so so we did this I've even got my little power supply under here and what
I did is recognizing where I wanted everything I've plumbed in I've got 12
volts behind you actually and I plummet or volts into that from the
from the power supply but I've got conduit running through the walls for my
little coax drops and stuff from the from the amplifier and I've got a switch
over here which was going to be able to switch each rig in and out well I wanted
to do that no idea because it just stays on ts-990 which is why I'm having a bit
of a redesign and that's okay I quite like a big long work bench for all sorts
of reasons because down that end I've got my studio gear and my audio racks
and everything up here's ham you see so let's have a look before I can flick to
the farm check so thus afternoon I left the office went down and I just
remarried the farm chat I had a rough drawing and I've drawn this in Visio but
again you could do this in graph paper you see and I've laid out to zoom into
here something's wrong with my keyboard right now let's just go into and though
400 and I've drawn these the 84k that's this old girl here and you know what
I've thought about this guy's and if we're having a really nice Shack I
powerjack down down the road let's take the 990 and I'll bring the 590 at home
so I have the Akon 2000 990 and I got to apply for something called a research
permit so I can run a bit of power down there anyway I've got the tea s2000
plumbed in here highly unlikely it's gonna go there I just wanted to see if
it would fit this which is a 2 meter 6 feet or desk I can buy worktop in in 6
feet and I'll use scaffolding poles really strong hold it in place and I'll
probably get inch and a half inch and 3/4 a bit like this actually this is
solid oak planks all glued together I'll probably get one of these
just because it's very strong I can stand on it in that sort of thing and
I'll get it slightly deeper but this is what was gonna say a lot of people put
their desk as far up to the wall as they can you can never get your cables up and
down you will want cable drops there below so to bear that in mind and what
I've unit what I'm going to do is I'm going to Pat it out with a piece of
timber and then put the desk up to ATC and and I'll drill holes probably for
mark from a PL to five lines or any types or whatever want up there um and
then what I'll do is I'll actually put a shelf bit like this on top so I can put
a monitor and bits up here so it's just food for thought you will find by the
time you've got all your gear that you will you will think yourself I want a
big monitor where to get a go at it unfortunately it is a whisker too high
for me this I wish it was a bit lower but it can't develop this here if I
define not five ninety here maybe I could drop this shelf down a whisker who
knows so things I've got to think about are where's the coax going um well the
coax at the moment comes in this wall through here and I showed you that on or
video a few days ago I'll fish it out so you can see it he comes I've got the oak
tree basically here you see so it should be pretty easy to put a little bit of
conduit a little bit of plastic you know that stuff with a snap on tops along the
wall I'll get two or three runs of coax just this is a sink here under the sink
and and a couple of holes on standby so I can shove the coax out but I want to
add a line down there as well so I can run the big balanced tuna so now ladder
line to get through a wall what I've done in the I don't know if this is the
right way is I just drilled two holes and put stainless steel and thread and
threaded bar and connected it all really tightly with with nuts and washers and
stuff and then just hooked my ladder at Mile Adelaide or whatever it is my
balance feeder onto that just goes straight through the wall assuming the
walls not metal they won't get shorted out I'll go straight through the wall
that way and something I've got a picture that as well I'll see if I can
drop that it right now so and then I've got a electric to consider and it just
so happens that there is a couple of plug points along here because I've
wondered where else are put this desk and frankly and this is
the this is the consideration we all need to come up with what we want to
wear where do we put the desk there's only one place for it really here or I
could rotate it and it wouldn't really it wouldn't really fit here you see so
all my controls heads working now and there now I've got a desk you know so
there we are so I got my coax a lot my mains and I'll have Internet won't I
so I need to work out how I'm gonna drop that down because once you painted all
the walls you think oh shit - I want Wi-Fi or am I gonna use you know plummet
in so I'll need to bear that in mind so the reason for the film is unless I keep
on top of this vlogging it with you then we'll get to the end and you won't see a
thinking process that I've done but the thinking for me is just literally
drawing everything to scale and laying it out and just double-checking that
little work otherwise you're going yeah I'll be big enough and it may not be
easy so that's it one last thing before I go is see antennas this oak tree that
I've got outside I was talking the other night was I about doing a 90 degree I've
got my 40 meter dipole in a 90 degree doublet off the top of it and I've
plotted it all out in MMA na and actually my game to the US isn't very
good so I have to rethink that because I really enjoy running running numbers you
know bit of a pileup into the US which was a bit of power and maybe a beam I'm
thinking of a hex beam there is I've got a 2 meter antenna on an aluminium 2 inch
that's bit more than that 2 inches no it's about two inch poles - scaffolding
Pole 6 meter scaffolding poles about 4 meters off the ground
I could put a hex beam on top of that I'm worried than somebody watching this
might tell me is that gonna have too much of a wobble or do I need to put a
steel pole trouble this was steel it can it can bend and once it's bent it's all
over I don't know if you've heard of that one
and I want to put a meaty rotator on the top as well so I've got to create I'll
see 400 or something I was gonna I was gonna put that on and see how long with
the create so what I've been a weight up there I haven't got a tower I mean I
know the landlord that farmer says you can put anything up you want but I've
got to be realistic I can't put a 60-foot I could get away with 60-foot
Tower but where where am I gonna put it on the farm then I got all the coax
lines too easy and then the last thing is earthing now I'm gonna do a video on
earthing in about I think a couple of weeks time probably but that's for
earthing in the British PM e system where the neutral and the earth are
bonded together all the way back to the transformer which is a couple hundred
yards from here and put an earthing in isn't here in this house a bit more
complicated then it will be complicated then it will be at the shack at the
shack down the road at the farm it's easier as Earth rods and in fact this is
a steel building and the steel itself is earth into the ground all right bond a
couple of the big Steel's drill holes and with a bit of lithium grease or
whatever it's called and bond the Alma grounds into there but I will want a
disconnect so probably somewhere along this wall here I'll have a method of
completely disconnecting all the antennas when I when I'm not there and
physically making sure they're grounded both sides that the inside of the coax
and the outside of the connects everything to ground so yeah we are
anyway that's what I been thinking about today be working as well I keep thinking
about the shakers and I've popped down there did the final measurements make
sure everything was fitted and I changed the format of my workshop as well if you
remember if he walks back a couple of days ago I'll put a card up
here to show you the film but I'm gonna convert this I've got the pillar drill
here and stuff so that's that's gonna move and with the pillar trail up to
here and this is gonna be a huge storage area cuz I need to get all my boxes of
poles you see under there a big big very heavy-duty workshop maybe
with some little step so I can walk up and physically walk on this so easily
get to the shelves and assuming over fall off I'm not looking we don't want
to do that do we okay anyway just talking up to date my name's Callum
from DX Commander - all the best and there I'll see you next time!
( hmmm. I'll move the fridge as well..)

Vegan Fridge and Pantry Tour - Full Vegan Kitchen Tour! - Duration: 13:43.-------------------------------------------
What Scarlett Johansson Was Like Before The Fame - Duration: 5:23.Scarlett Johansson's journey from indie starlet to Hollywood superstar began when she made
her breakthrough role in Lost in Translation in 2003.
Today, Johansson's known all over the world as Black Widow, the Marvel spy-turned-superhero
whose own solo outing is in the works.
While her Marvel character has some serious childhood trauma, it would be a stretch to
describe Johansson's own past as tortured or traumatic.
Still, she did go through some pretty rough times before she broke into Hollywood.
Here's what she was like before the fame.
New York girl
Johansson grew up in New York City, a time in her life that she remembers fondly despite
it being a lot more difficult than her life is today.
She shared with Interview magazine:
"My most vivid memories of New York are all throughout the '90s.
That's when I was in my prime — you know, 11 or 12 years old, owning the street.
[...] I grew up in, like, a middle-income housing development in the West Village that's
now, of course, been turned into condos."
The Avengers actress has also admitted to struggling a little academically, particularly
with her SATs.
She explained:
"The way it worked when I took them was that they were out of 1,600.
[...] I got a 1,080, which was pretty low.
But that was probably because I didn't answer half of the math questions."
Relying on welfare
Johansson reportedly has a net worth in the region of $100 million, but back when she
was growing up, there wasn't much money to spare.
She explained on Inside the Actors Studio:
"We were living on welfare; we were on food stamps."
The actress went on to add that her parents' marriage was strained.
"My parents were raising four kids in a low-income household in Manhattan.
So, it was a lot."
Sadly, her parents' relationship cracked under the pressure and her mother headed to California
while Johansson and her twin brother stayed in New York with their dad.
Johansson shared:
"I think my mom tried to be as much of a buffer as possible with that experience.
You know, there's no kind of handbook."
Her surprising BFF
Growing up, Johansson was very close with her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Sloan.
Speaking with the Forward, Sloan revealed that she and little Scarlett were the best
of friends during her childhood years.
She explained: "I spent a lot of time with Scarlett when
she was younger.
People would ask her, 'Who's your best friend?'
And she would say, 'Grandma!'"
Sloan couldn't be happier for Johansson now that she's all grown up and conquering Hollywood.
She added:
"That's my baby!
I'm so proud of her."
Rejection wasn't easy
Johansson started auditioning for roles at a young age, but she had to go through a lot
of rejection before someone would take a chance on her.
To this day, Johansson still remembers the pain of being turned down by an agent for
the very first time.
She shared with Interview magazine:
"There was someone in my older brother's class who was doing some commercials and theater,
so my mom took me to that kid's agent because I loved musicals.
They didn't want me, though.
I was devastated.
I thought it was the end of my career."
The aspiring star was so upset after leaving the office that her mother tried to convince
her to let go of her dream of becoming an actress.
She revealed:
"I remember standing outside in Greenwich Village with my mom [...] and she was saying,
'Do you really want to do this?
You're so devastated.'
And maybe it was the rejection or whatever, but I really wanted to give it a try, and
she supported that."
A politically active child
Some celebrities become socially and politically active after finding fame and fortune, but
Scarlett Johansson started young, thanks to her mother's support.
When she spoke at the 2017 amfAR New York Gala, she told attendees that she has always
been grateful that her mother made sure she was always aware of what was going on in the
world.
She said:
"[She's] been incredibly inspiring for me in many, many ways, but certainly as a young
girl.
She never shielded us from what was going on in the zeitgeist in culture.
She always made us [...] socially aware.
She always encouraged us to be politically and socially active."
Crushing on Jared Leto
Johansson's love life has made headlines over the years as she's been involved with both
celebrities and people from other industries, but her first Hollywood crush was Jared Leto.
During her press tour for The Horse Whisperer, Rosie O'Donnell asked Johansson if she had
a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio like every other 13-year-old girl, but Johansson revealed her
number one crush was someone else : Jared Leto.
In 2004 after Johansson and Leto were spotted together on several occasions, reports circulated
that they hooked up, but like several relationships that followed, it wasn't meant to be.
Liar liar
Scarlett Johansson made her film debut in the 1994 comedy North, but despite some projects
in the intervening years, her first big opportunity to really impress Tinseltown came in The Horse
Whisperer in 1998, but she had to lie to get her part.
"I had never really ridden horses before, I mean I actually told them…
I felt bad about it afterwards..." through 196s
"You lied that you were an accomplished equestrian?"
It turns out, when Robert Redford asked the 13-year-old actress if she'd been on a horse
before:
"I said yes, I've been on a horse before.
They may have been plastic, but I didn't tell him that.
I said I've been on a horse before, I took him literally."
Unsurprisingly, the horse wranglers weren't thrilled.
"The wranglers called the casting director, the casting director called my agent, like
screaming on the phone, 'She doesn't know what she's doing!'"
Luckily, it all turned out okay.

Do you remember who your first crush was?
Cassie. Yeah, she was cute, dude.
I remember Cassie.

My first crush was Katie T.
I--I still remember her.
Short black hair.
I've always liked short hair on women.
I think it's cool when women do that.
You've got to have a pretty face, usually, but...

I like when, you know, a girl, like,
sees what all the other girls are doing and is like,
"No, I'm doing something different."
I like that. She had a great smile.
She had a great sense of adventure.

She has a great-- I don't even know--
I still don't know what the fuck that means.
A great sense of adventure?

She had a booming laugh.

They all had giant laughs.
I think really what I need is just somebody
who thinks I'm funny.

I played professional tennis for four years.

Saturday morning. Here comes Katie.
Here comes her mom. This is--this is it.
Here's the girl I like,
and here's the thing I'm good at.
I scored six goals that day.
I scored one goal as a goalie, okay?
Now...
do you know how selfish you have to be
with the ball
to score as a goalie?
My father asked the coach to take me out of the game.
Dads ask the coach to put their son in the game.
But this was...you know,
I was trying to impress Katie, okay?
Now, in my house, my mom invented this thing
called the special plate, okay?
The special plate is a real plate
that you eat off of when you achieve something
or you have success.
This is not a fucking joke.

It's a plate. It has balloons on it.

This was all outcome-based.
This was all achievement and success-based, right?
And my dad used to just give himself

No, you can't just...
Anyways, I scored six, one as a goalie,
and...

So, Monday comes around, school,
and guess who doesn't give a shit
that I did six goals, one as a goalie?
Katie's not impressed.
Didn't even realize it, I don't think.
You know, and this baffles me.
I mean, as someone that's coming from a family
that's very focused on result and outcome,
it frustrated me, but now, you know, you understand it.
That wasn't what her family was into.
Her mom would go adopt the dogs
and bring kids to the children's hospital.
This wasn't, like,
their big focus.
And I was bummed that she wasn't into it.
It was, you know, her loss, as I saw it.
And...now, science projects were coming up.
And this was--this was big,
because I sat next diagonally from Katie T.
in Mrs. Kelce's fourth grade.
Anyone else have Mrs. Kelce?
[light cheering, laughter]
Yeah. And...
Mrs. Kelce would pair you up
with your science project partner diagonally.
That's just how she always did it, okay?
It was no guarantee, but I felt like it was gonna happen,
so once I got paired with Katie,
we'd have ample time together, that's great.
Now, I had weird Josh Barter sitting to my right
and then annoying Lindsay was across from me, okay?
And Mrs. Kelce says,
"Someone has to make an announcement in class."
And Katie sheepishly walks
up to the front of the class and she says--
she starts to talk, but she can't talk.
She's crying. She's too sad.
And she runs to Mrs. Kelce, and Mrs. Kelce hugs her

And it was very sad. And we were all sad.
And we made one of those giant cards

well, the Asian kid designs it,
and then everyone else kinda...signs it.
And we sent it off to Katie's mom.
And...so the next day,
Mrs. Kelce's assigning science projects,

Weird Josh Barter isn't there, okay?
Turns out he left.

So he's gone, so now what happens?
I--I should still be paired up with Katie T.,
but who's with annoying Lindsay, right?
Nobody.
So Mrs. Kelce starts pairing us off, okay?
And she's doing it diagonally, thank God.
So this is gonna get me some ample time with Katie T.
Maybe I can figure out the whole diarrhea thing.
And she gets to Katie,
and maybe it's 'cause Katie's mom is sick--
I don't know what it was-- but she says to Katie,
"Katie, you can pick who you wanna--
you wanna be with Lindsay, you wanna be with Michael."
You know, and I'm like, well, that's--that's...
you know, pretty bullshit, but...
[laughter]
But I'm still-- I'm still confident.
You know, I scored six goals, one as a goalie.
Like, why would she not-- why would she not pick me?
I'm from--I'm a Kosta. Kostas are winners.
That's how we've been--you know.
We'll eat off the special plate together.
And Katie--Katie is...
very happy that she gets to pick,
'caused nobody else get to pick.
And she picks... Lindsay.
She picks fuckin' Lindsay...
[laughter]
To be her science project partner.
Annoying...
short...
fat Lindsay, and you can't--
you could say that then.
This was 27 years ago, where you were allowed to fat shame,
so don't think of it from this year.
Put it through '89.
And I was--I was broken.
I mean, I...I can actually feel it right now.
And this is crazy to me, right,
but it--it hurt.
It--I felt vulnerable.
I didn't even know what that word meant, and I felt that.
I felt a loss.
I don't lose, you know.
I scored six, one as a goalie, and...
[laughter]
I didn't know what to do.
I'm ten also.
Don't forget that.
I'm ten, and I'm feeling rejected, and I'm feeling hurt.
And I took that pain
and I took that rejection
and I took that feeling that I did not like
and was uncomfortable with and I spoke.
And I said as loud as I could to her and everyone,
I said, "I hope your mom dies in the hospital."
[crowd oohs]
[laughter]
Now...
this...
now...
[laughter]
Now I know, but--but then,
this was the first of many times
where my mouth would get me in a lot of trouble.
Okay?
I mean, here I am at a strip club telling a story
to strangers, so...
And it was a terrible thing to say,
and as soon as I said it, Katie withered.
And she became a speck.
She--she started crying.
She had--I had never seen somebody so physically hurt.
And...
Mrs. Kelce sent her down to the nurse's office.
I was sent down to the principal's office.
I walked real slow down there.
You know, now it makes me think of when I tell my dog
to go into the cage, and he kind of, like....
[laughter]
You know, and we all remember walking down to
the principal's office, and even I at ten
remember thinking, like, "God, that was--that was dick."
You know?
And I sat in the principal's office,
and I saw Katie with the nurse, and she was broken.
I had--I had broken her.
I had taken my pain, and I had multiplied it by a thousand,
and I had dumped it on her,
and it-- it's worse than that.
Because three days later, Katie's mother dies
in the hospital. [crowd groans]
This is not a joke. This is not written.
This is real.
This is a real story.
And I have not spoken
to Katie since then.
I regret that I said that.
I've never apologized to her or her family.
And I realize it's a little self-indulgent
to put pain on someone
and then use it as a performance piece...
[laughter]
To advance my comedy career.
But that's not what this is.
I'm publicly here to say to Katie that I'm sorry,
and to her family, I'm sorry.
and I regret that I ever said that.
Thank you very much.
- Michael Kosta, everybody.
[cheers and applause]

Juice WRLD - Scared of Love ( Lyrics ) - Duration: 2:54.[Intro] Ooh, ooh, woah
I never been scared I tell you that I don't care
Really I do care I hope that you care ([?])
I never been scared to love (Drop that motherfucker!)
[Chorus] I never been scared of love, scared to love
I'm on the drugs, way too much I'm not enough, not enough
You're way too much, way too much Not scared to love just scared of love
Not enough I"m not enough You're way too much, and I'm not getting enough
You're way too much, still I'm not getting enough
[Verse 1] You're way too much, too, too much
The weight is heavy on my shoulders, girl, you're too much
You put my heart in a grave, I get no love No, I need more drugs, way too much
All I ever do is get fucked up All I ever wanted was a real love
Got a pint of the lean, I lucked out?
Bros said it was a real?
Every day I wonder if I can pick my heart out my chest
Lately I been feelin' the worst So I gotta dress like the best
Moncler all on my chest VVS all on my neck
Ballin like a fucking upset They're beyond stressed
I been hurt but I'm beyond that
[Chorus] I never been scared of love, scared to love
I'm on the drugs, way too much I'm not enough, not enough
You're way too much, way too much Not scared to love just scared of love
Not enough I"m not enough You're way too much, and I'm not getting enough
You're way too much, still I'm not getting enough
[Verse 2] We woke up in hell, baby, can't you tell
As far as I can tell you're the only heaven here
I'm running out of Xans, running out of options I really need to chill 'fore I'm in a coffin
Way too late, Russian roulette, okay I know I been dead for a minute now
Ain't wanna be alive, no way
[Chorus] I never been scared of love, scared to love
I'm on the drugs, way too much I'm not enough, not enough
You're way too much, way too much Not scared to love just scared of love
Not enough I"m not enough You're way too much, and I'm not getting enough
You're way too much, still I'm not getting enough

Brilliant Easter Eggs Hidden In Video Games - Duration: 7:32.Atari's 1980 fantasy game Adventure has gone down in video game history - but not just
because it's one of the most influential titles of all time.
It's also credited with containing the first-ever video game Easter egg - a room containing
the text, "Created by Warren Robinett."
Fast forward to the present, and there are entire sections of the web devoted to uncovering
the Easter eggs in games new and old.
And many developers have gone all in on making - and hiding - these hidden secrets for their
most eagle-eyed fans.
Dust off your granddad's deerstalker hat and polish that magnifying glass, because it's
time to take a look some of the most brilliant Easter eggs hidden in your favorite games.
Hidden in plain sight
The motivation of Dead Space protagonist Isaac is wrapped up in the fate of his girlfriend,
Nicole, who is trapped somewhere on the same Necromorph-infested ship he is.
Isaac spends the entire game trying to save his love.
But, spoilers: in a heart-wrenching, mind-blowing twist, Isaac realizes that the Nicole he's
been seeing all game was nothing more than a hallucination.
Seeing no way off the ship, and afraid of becoming a Necromorph herself, the real Nicole
took her own life through lethal injection.
Even more depressing is that, upon studying the chapter names in Dead Space, Nicole's
status was staring the player right in the face all along.
Take a look at the first letter in each chapter name.
New Arrivals.
Intensive Care.
Course Correction.
Obliteration Imminent.
Lethal Devotion.
Environmental Hazard.
Into the Void.
Search and Rescue.
Dead on Arrival.
End of Days.
Alternate Solutions.
Dead Space.
Put the first letter in a string together and they spell the phrase, "Nicole is dead."
Yeah, that Easter egg's well hidden and all - but it's a pretty rotten one.
Chalk it up to experience
The team at Remedy Entertainment boasts a nice list of hit Intellectual Properties,
from the Max Payne series to Alan Wake.
But the company branched out into new territory when it released Quantum Break in 2016, both
by creating a brand new property and by melding two worlds - video games and live action television
- into one experience.
But just because Remedy tried out a new franchise, that doesn't mean it forgot its older ones.
Upon entering a lecture hall, you'll notice a large chalkboard that looks to be filled
with the typical scribbles of a professor who'd recently taught a class.
But if you study the chalk writing more closely, you'll start to see that the subject matter
concerns Alan Wake.
And even more interesting: it seems to lay out the events that Alan experienced in his
previous two titles – Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare - as an English
literature professor might lay out a work of fiction.
A-head of the game
If you've ever played a first person shooter, chances are you know the name John Romero.
He's the "godfather" of first-person shooters, having brought us Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and
Quake.
He's the co-founder of id Software, a studio that still works on the Doom franchise.
But to players of Doom II, released in 1994, Romero is well known for being the very face
of evil.
The final boss of Doom II is a horned head that spawns tons of enemies.
The player needs to hop on an elevator and use a rocket launcher to blast his exposed
brain to bits - or use a cheat to enter his skull and unload on a sprite version of John
Romero's head.
That's right: Romero's disembodied noggin was placed behind the wall and out of sight
by id's John Carmack as a joke.
"It was a total joke.
Like, the artists were playing a joke on me, sticking my head back there."
Shooting Romero's head several times will end the level.
Believe it or not though, Romero actually shows up twice in that final mission.
That garbled gibberish you hear when you first enter the room containing the Icon of Sin
is his voice.
When played backwards, the audio actually sounds like...
"To win the game, you must kill me, John Romero."
A Notch in his belt
Back in 2011, Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, announced it was working on a collectable
card game called Scrolls.
In that same year, Bethesda Softworks also planned to release a game with "scrolls" in
the title: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Despite the games clearly not being in the same genre, Bethesda didn't take kindly to
Mojang's plans to use the name "Scrolls," and sent a legal threat to cease and desist
use of the word.
Mojang co-founder Markus Persson - known on Twitter as notch playfully challenged the
team at Bethesda to a Quake III deathmatch for the rights, but unfortunately for the
game world, his offer was refused.
Bethesda soon filed suit instead.
Despite the legal standoff that was still ongoing by the time Skyrim was released, an
Easter egg uncovered in the game shows that Mojang still had some fans inside Bethesda.
When players ascend to the highest point in the game, located at the Throat of the World,
they can pick up an axe that appears to be placed as a tribute to the Minecraft team.
It's called the Notched Pickaxe, with its name combining two things: the nickname of
Minecraft's creator - "Notch" - and the pickaxe that plays such a crucial role in Minecraft's
gameplay.
The suit between the two companies was later settled in 2012.
O Captain!
My Captain!
Following Hideo Kojima's extremely public breakup with Konami, the world wasn't quite
sure what to make of a brand new Metal Gear title without the legendary director at the
helm.
And when Metal Gear Survive arrived in early 2018, its reception wasn't all that great,
with some outlets criticizing the game's "lack of variety" and slew of eyebrow-raising microtransactions.
But in spite of the fact that Konami is continuing Metal Gear without Kojima, and that it appears
Konami as a company continues to host some bad feelings toward its former star employee,
the developers of Survive may have managed to sneak in a tribute to the former Big Boss
of the Metal Gear franchise.
When you first load up Metal Gear Survive and create your in-game character, you're
shown a list containing both your name as well as the names of other soldiers.
And someone noticed that, when you take the first letter of each last name starting at
the fourth name, the letters together spell out "K-J-P-F-O-R-E-V-E-R," as in, "Kojima
Productions Forever."
It's an Easter egg Konami has yet to confirm, but the possibility that the people working
on Survive intentionally hid this tribute to their captain in the game warms our cold,
cold hearts.
Deja entendu
One of the more joyful video game Easter eggs doesn't have to do with what's hidden in one
particular game, but what's hidden in many games.
It's Totaka's Song, the melody that seems to burrow its way into most of Nintendo's
titles, leading to a mini-treasure hunt every single time Nintendo puts out a new game.
See if this little diddy rings a bell:
[Music]
The story behind Totaka's Song centers around Kazumi Totaka, a composer at Nintendo whose
body of work includes games like Mario Paint, Yoshi's Story, Animal Crossing: Wild World,
Wii Sports Club, and more.
Totaka first included his 19-beat tune in 1992's X for the Game Boy, and for reasons
unknown, continued to hide the song in random Nintendo games that followed.
And good news for all Easter egg hunters: Totaka still works at Nintendo.
So if you've enjoyed hunting down his tune all these years, you'll still have plenty
of digging to do in the future.

Formula Drift World Champion Fredric Aasbo on his passion off the track - Duration: 3:20.- I'm Fredric Aasbø, drift driver for Toyota racing,
and we're in Huntington Beach, California.
I grew up in Norway. We didn't have a lot of money.
My dad was working a lot. He took the little bit of money
we had and went go-kart racing.
And I came across this amazing sport called drifting.
This was at a time when drifting was really young,
especially in Norway.
Once I discovered drifting, I took my scholarship for school
and my friends and I started building a
really basic drift car. And we were able to do really well.
The summer of 2008 I learned that there was gonna be
a world championship in Long Beach, California.
We were far from being able to qualify for that.
So what I did is I took everything I had learned in school,
then I put together this proposal with all the highlights.
And I sent it off to the president of Formula Drift.
And, I remember it to this day, I got an email back
from Jim that read, "Fredric, pack your bags.
See you in Long Beach."
We won the Rookie of the Year title in 2011,
and then the ultimate goal was getting that championship.
So we got a little bit better every year - finished 13th,
sixth, fourth, second.
It took a long time for me to get to that next level,
and 2013 was a frustrating year for us.
The team was disappointed in me.
I was extremely disappointed in myself.
I locked myself into a hotel room and I started reading,
learning from the other guys in the sport.
And that was a big step towards
becoming the world champion in 2015.
Winning the championship was an incredible relief.
Where do you go from there?
And I had a big moment that winter, trying to regroup,
trying to stay hungry.
I tried to do everything but drifting.
My escape from reality, so to speak,
is getting on that board, paddling into the waves
and forgetting about everything else.
Being out there, getting wet, making a fool out of myself.
And then it all clicked.
I realized, "This is just like drifting."
You sit there, you wait. It's all about positioning,
it's all about being ready. And then boom:
You have 10 seconds to shine.
It kind of worked, because we came back in 2016
second in points, and I felt like my hunger
and my will to do well in this sport was back.
Progress is all about being hungry
and about having a state of mind
where you're always learning.
And Toyota's ideology of "kaizen,"
the idea of continuous improvement,
has very much lined up with my own path.
It's been the perfect fit.
A path of constant improvement every year,
constant progress, trying to get better.
Looking back, little did I know I would be here
at the entertainment capital of the world.
Everyone's pretty, you can chase your dream,
everything looks almost unreal. And it's almost like
Life 2.0
Chasing my dream, the American dream.
