Honda engineers build a Civic Type R pickup truck, just for fun - Duration: 2:56.

The Honda Civic Type R is already a fairly practical five-door hatchback, but that apparently

wasn't good enough for a group of U.K. Honda engineers who gave a Type R the full El Camino

treatment, turning it into a pickup truck named "Project P."

Up front, Project P looks like a standard Civic Type R. But the roof aft of the front

doors was removed to make way for the pickup bed.

The stock rear spoiler was retained but modified so it could swing out of the way to allow

easier loading and unloading of the bed.

Honda's engineers clearly thought of everything.

The pickup truck uses the same engine, transmission, and suspension as a stock Civic Type R, according

to Honda.

That means a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet

of torque.

Drive is to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

Honda claims Project P will do 0 to 62 mph in under six seconds, and reach a top speed

of over 165 mph.

The Type R El Camino also retains the stock drive modes of Comfort, Sport, and +R.

Project P was built by a team of engineers at the Honda of the U.K. Manufacturing factory

in Swindon, England.

The factory builds all Civic hatchbacks sold in Europe and North America, including the

Type R. Don't expect Honda to put a Civic pickup into production though; Project P was

just a fun side project.

"We have a special projects division at the factory in Swindon and this project was

a fantastic opportunity for the team to show just what their creative minds could do,"

Alyn James, Project P team leader, said in a statement.

"The passion that our engineers have for Honda is shown in our latest creation and

we are even considering taking it to the Nürburgring to see if we can take the record for the fastest

front-wheel drive pickup truck!"

In the auto industry, it seems that everything is cooler with a pickup bed.

Engineers at BMW and Nissan have built one-off pickup versions of the M3 and Leaf, respectively,

and Photoshop renderings giving other models the El Camino treatment appear regularly online.

Chelsy Davy Had 'Emotional' and 'Tearful' Last Phone Call With Prince Harry Before His Big Day - Duration: 2:39.

enough to invite two to his.

However, it seems that his nuptials bought back some old feelings for ex-girlfriend Chelsy

Davy, who is said to have had an 'emotional' phone call with the prince just a week before

the nuptials on Saturday.

According to Vanity Fair the 32-year-old got in touch with her ex last week, after discovering

that she had been invited to the ceremony but not the reception at Frogmore House, and

the conversation acted as closure for the former couple.

A family friend told VF: 'It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged

Harry was moving on.

'Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn't go to the

wedding.

'In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn't try and gatecrash the party.'

MailOnline has contacted Kensington Palace for a comment.

The 32-year-old, who dated the prince from 2003 to 2010, attended the ceremony of Meghan

Markle's wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday.

She is reported to have arrived with fellow ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, with the pair

spotted chatting together ahead of the ceremony.

Many social media users were quick to point out the jewellery designer's more somber face

during the service.

While many joked that her pensive face screamed 'it should have been me', others admitted

that they could relate to her.

Body language expert Judi James, says that Chelsy's feelings were evident during the

wedding.

N. Korea still willing to hold summit with Washington - Duration: 1:47.

The news is coming thick and fast since President Trump cancelled his planned summit with Pyongyang.

Within the past couple of hours,... North Korea's vice foreign minister has released

a statement on the situation.

For details, let's connect to our unification ministry correspondent Oh Jung-hee.

Jung-hee, take us through this response,... it's fair to say the content came out of left

field considering the regime's track record of fiery statements directed at the U.S....

Mark, North Korea was quick to respond... and I must tell you that this morning's statement

from the North is one of the most gentle statements I've ever seen from the regime.

Less than three hours ago, North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan released a statement

saying... the North is willing to give the U.S. more time and opportunity -- which means,

Pyongyang is still willing to sit down with Washington for summit talks.

Remember how President Trump cited the North's fury and hostility in his statement.

Pyongyang claimed... that only followed Washington's pressure on North Korea's unilateral denuclearization...

and this situation -- which shows a very deep rift between the two -- rather means that

the summit talks are desperately needed.

North Korea did express regret towards Trump's decision,... but at the same time appealed

that the regime has been highly anticipating the summit as well as what the White House

has suggested as a 'Trump model.'

The statement also said North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been pouring his efforts into

summit preparations.

The North stressed... that both sides can't be perfectly satisfied at their first attempt,

but if they solve their issues one-by-one, then their relations will only get better,

not worse.

Pyongyang wrapped up its statement saying it's willing to sit down face-to-face with

Washington at any time to solve their issues.
