Hi everyone, today's tutorial is the second part
of the tutorial on the C2C crochet technique
if you have not seen the first part,
find the link to the tutorial in the upper corner
and in the information box
in the first part we learned the C2C crochet technique
we learned how to start work
and how to follow a scheme
and, in particular, we have performed this scheme
if you do not have this scheme you can find the link in the information box
but I suggest you to watch the first video
in today's tutorial we see
how to secure the wire tails and how to hide them at best
if we had to cut them
and let's see how to make the pillow
how to make a border around the C2C processing
and finally make the cushion
stop the chatter and let's start the tutorial
as we have seen, sometimes we have to cut the thread
for example when we stop using a certain color
insert the thread into a needle
we pull the thread to make sure the slip stitch is tight
and we hide the thread through the stitches
going
return
going
and cut
in this way we hide all the threads of the processing
we decided what is the wrong side
and what is the straight side of the work
but hiding the threads in this way
the two sides are both perfect
there are no knots and you can not see wire tails
so
let's learn to do the edge of single crochet (sc)
if, like me, you have thread tails on the outline
we learn to hide them through the edge stitches
with the color chosen to make the border
we make a slip knot
we hook the yarn in a corner
in the 1st of the 3 chains of the side, of this square
we weave 1 sl st
ch 1
now we weave 1sc in each stitch
for example, where there are chains
we work 1 sc in every chain (3)
and where there are the dc
we work 1 sc in every stitch (3)
and so we continue on the whole side
1sc in each of 3 chain
and 1sc in each of 3 dc
and so we continue on the whole side
in every corner stitch we work 3sc
and let's start the next side
here are the chains in which we worked the 3dc
therefore we weave 1sc in each chain (3)
and there are the dc
but this time we find them lying down
let's see how to weave the 3 sc in this case
1sc on the wire you see at the top of the stitch
1sc on the wire you see in the central part of the stitch
1sc on the wire you see at the bottom of the stitch
always taking 2 wires
let's see where to weave the stitches
1sc in each of the 3 chains
in the dc, 1sc in the upper part
1sc entering the center of the dc
1sc entering the lower part of the dc
let's continue like this and work the whole edge of the rectangle or square
1sc in every point and 3sc in the corner stitch
if you have wires to hide on the edge
hide them through the sc
we hide it this way and then cut the thread
for my pillow 2 rounds of single crochet are perfect
I get the right size to make my pillow
you weave all the rounds you need
we close every round with 1 sl st
in the first stitch of the round
remember to always weave 3sc
in the central stitch of the corner
this is the front part of my pillow
the pattern with hearts worked with the C2C technique, plus 2 turns of sc
for the back side I worked the C2C technique this way,
changing color to each line
in this case
I had to cut the thread at each row of squares
and having all the wire tails on the edge of the work,
I hid all the threads, as we have learned before,
through the first round of sc on the edge
I did the other side with stripes, because I wanted to try this kind of effect too
I think it's very beautiful,
but you can do it with just one color
or repeating the pattern with the hearts, as you prefer
we approach the reverse sides of the work
keep the straight side outside
we sew the 2 parts with 1 round of sl st
we weave the next stitch of the piece in front
and the corresponding stitch of the piece behind
in this way
and we weave 1 sl st
the whole point in front,
the whole point back
and we join with 1sl st
when working sl st
do not tighten the stitches
otherwise the work will curl
and we weave 1 sl st at each point
we continue the round of sl st, 1 sl st in every stitch,
even in the corners, for 3 sides of the rectangle
let's weave up to here
when we joined 3 sides with sl st
we also join all this angle
we join the whole corner with the sl st
I also joined a few points later,
so that the corner remains well closed
you decide when to join this part,
I worked 2 stitches after the corner
at this point, we weave 1 chain
and cut the thread
we will hide the wire tail with the needle
for the corner on the other side
if you are in my same situation,
the angle has remained open
then hook the wire,
and join with sl st,
to join the corner as we did for the other corner
Make a slip knot
and start from the stitch, from which you want
to join the 2 pieces
as before
we weave sl st, taking the whole stitch in front
and the whole stitch behind
when you have completely united, cut the thread
insert the thread into the needle,
and, in this side, we create the invisible closure
this is the last stitch woven
insert the needle in the entire chain
of the 1sl st worked stitch of the original round
and let's go back, insert the needle in the middle of the chain
of the last stitch we have woven
let's pass the thread inside
we knot, hide the thread
and cut
we hide the other threads in the same way
when we have hidden all the threads
we sew 2 or 3 buttons
in the position we prefer
for the buttonholes we use
the holes that are created spontaneously
in C2C processing
choose a button of the right size for the buttonhole
and this is the result
I chose to close it with the buttons, in one side
I think it's the easiest way
but you can choose to sew a zipper,
or to make any closure you prefer
I love this pillow both on this side
and on this one
C2C processing is certainly perfect
for making cushions and blankets,
but while weaving this piece,
I thought it would be perfect for making covers,
for the computer, or for the tablet etc.
it is a very versatile technique
it's beautiful striped or if woven with a single color
and it's wonderful because it allows us to weave designs
I'm very happy to have done this tutorial
for you, but also for me
because, I knew the technique, but I had never tried it
and now I can say that it's really beautiful
in addition to giving us the opportunity to weave designs
it also has an almost 3D appearance
and especially, sorry if I repeat
but it's really beautiful to make blankets
that is, I do not think I'll find the time to do it ...
but a blanket with this technique would be wonderful
as always, I thank you very much for being with me, even in this tutorial
I hope you enjoyed it and that it is useful to you
I'm waiting to read your comments and see the pictures of your masterpieces
