Nonsan Trip #2 [Korea Travel Vlog (HTV)] / Hoontamin - Duration: 6:17.

...What's wrong with her?

Why?

We're trying everything on this Nonsan trip

Let's go together on a trip!

Tapjeong lake nature park

This is Tapjeong Lake

This is the second largest lake in Chungcheongnamdo

But I can't find the lake

Shall we walk?

Let's go find the lake

Where's the lake?

I can't find Tapjeong Lake

Did we come on the wrong way

There it is!

What is that, is it a seagull?

There's something like an eagle!

What kind of bird is it?

Seagulls live by the sea

So is it an eagle?

There might be a bird expert within our subscribers

We arrived to Tapjeong Lake

Although it's not a clear sky and a blue lake

There's nature and peace in this place

And we met the historic site of General Gyebaek

The one you see on the back is Chungjang shrine

In here they commemorate General Gyebaek

Every April they create events

And they offer sacrifices

It's too quiet to go in right now

Because nowadays it's hot

We'll just look around and then leave

It's cozy, I think it would be good to come in autumn

The last hero of Baekje, General Gyebaek

This is General Gyebaek's statue

There's a higher place

Is this Hwangsanbeol in front of us?

Or is it over there?

It's cool, it has such a great view

I didn't know it was going to be this tall

You can look at everything from here

The view is so pretty

This is the Baekje Military Museum

History of struggles among Three States

The stories of the ancient Korea that was part of Three States

I almost know everything about it

What is that

You learned it during Korean History

Common Korean people 1400 years ago

Now it's the second exhibition room

If we saw about the Baekje history before

Now we'll talk about the Baekje military

There's a lot to see

Knife with seven blades

The present granted by the Baekje king to the Japanese king

That general seems to be telling you something

He has his mouth open

What's there?

I'll go up to see

If it's safe or not

The studio automatically plays when visitors enter

They display the events of the battle of Hwangsanbeol

I was thinking why did they make this

But it has cool facilities

It plays when a visitor comes in

What's in there, shall we go upstairs?

A place you can experience the Baekje culture

You can also play in here

Completed with a signature

It doesn't fit, how do you do this

I'm experiencing so many things

Why am I doing this in here

There's no correct size

It's this board's fault

You can't do it, nobody can

Let's give up and leave

Nonsan city cultural tourist map

Here, aside from the era of the Three States

Through the Goryeo and Joseon era

A place to see everything about Nonsan

The history of Nonsan

It's ascending more and more, from Joseon to Goryeo era

From Goryeo to the era of the Three States

We went throught the Baekje Military Museum

It's well made

There are horses

I think you can ride them

You always tell me to do the bad things

Cormie looks manly

Let's go invade Hoon's country!

Are you supposed to hit the butt?

On weekends you can also experience activities from Baekje culture

The Baekje Military Museum, the historic site of General Gyebaek

We saw all of them

It was cool

See you the fun activity experiences from Nonsan on episode 3!

Best Burger in Split, Croatia | Truffle Mayo Hamburger - Duration: 8:57.

Alright guys so for today's lunch video we are here in Split and we're going to be sampling

contemporary Croatian food.

Yep.

So we found a restaurant (Bokeria) that we're really excited about.

It is called Bokeria.

So yeah we had a look at the menu.

It looked pretty good.

Sam got a gourmet burger with a truffle sauce.

Truffle mayo I think.

Yeah, truffle mayo and I went for the oh my gosh what was it?

Oxtail.

Oxtail risotto.

Yes.

It just sounded so good.

What was it?

You are speaking about this in the past.

I know.

The food has yet to arrive.

No, we've just placed our orders.

Now we are waiting for it to show up.

We're very excited.

We have a huge appetite.

Yeah.

I think we purposely barely had anything for breakfast.

Yeah.

Now we'll be coming with our appetites.

So we need to start with Sam's burger because my oh my this is a thing of beauty.

Let's just zoom in on that.

Okay so this comes with as we mentioned before truffle mayo.

Yes.

It comes with prosciutto here.

Prosciutto.

A smoked cheese.

Yeah.

And it looks like a bit of salad in there.

Maybe a pickle and salad in there too.

Oh my gosh this is so juicy.

I can't wait to try it.

I can't wait to try that as well.

We're going to be cutting that in half.

FYI husband.

Mmmm.

Oh my gosh that truffle mayo.

I haven't had a truffles in a few months.

And yeah mmm.

Since our last trip to Croatia a few months ago.

The prosciutto.

The smoked cheese.

That is just one outstanding gourmet burger.

Yeah.

And the fries.

I've been snacking on your fries.

I know the fries are worth coming for alone.

These are so good.

I'm going to try some.

I like that they have a bit of skin on them.

Cooked to perfection.

Crispy on the outside and super mushy in the middle.

Oh yeah.

This is going to be a good meal.

Oh yeah.

And we haven't even tried yours yet.

And your turn to try that burger and fries.

I know.

I let Sam have a bite and then I just stole it.

Yep.

I snatched it.

Well, I think we both really like burgers and risotto.

Yeah.

We'll have no problem sharing.

Cut it in half.

Let's see.

Sometimes there is food envy but they both look really good.

Isn't that delicious.

Oh man.

The truffle mayo.

I know it is life changing truffle mayonnaise.

I know I have it all over my face but I don't even care right now.

Haha.

The burger is just so juicy as well.

Yeah.

Yeah, it is just cooked really well.

Mmmhmm.

I even like the bun.

The sesame seed bun is delicious.

We asked for medium for the burger.

Yep.

And it is wonderful.

And the cheese.

I know.

And the sauce.

It is just oozing out that gourmet cheese.

Mmmm.

Yeah it is a gourmet burger.

I mean there is no doubt about it.

I haven't even tried mine yet but I'm already excited about the burger.

Like that has been a wonderful start.

Yeah and the fries we're going to have to partition off too because we both like them

a lot.

Alright now that I've devoured half of Sam's burger practically.

I still have a piece left for later so don't touch.

But I figured it is time that I show you my main.

So I got the oxtail risotto which yeah that looks really unusual.

Like we've been having it with seafood or with mushrooms but never with meat.

Yeah.

First time to try it.

Mmm.

It has a tomato base and it is really rich.

Okay.

And stew-y in a way.

It looks really thick and rich.

It has kind of like those bits of shredded meat.

It reminds me a bit of pulled pork.

Wow.

It is just really nice.

It is nice on a winter day and I mean it is pretty damp and cold outside.

Yeah.

Still like the burger more?

The burger.

I'm still eying the burger.

The burger is the star of the show.

The burger is the best.

The burger is the best.

Cool.

Alright my time my turn to dig in I should say.

There he goes.

Oh my gosh.

Grabbing a huge bite.

Mmmm.

What do you think?

Yeah, you're right that is really good.

Really thick.

Yeah.

Wow.

Really rich flavors.

Yeah.

It is so different from any other risotto I've ever tried.

It is not comparable to anything else.

I know.

It is very much a contemporary take on classic risottos which are normally creamy or cheesy

or have fish.

Yeah.

That is completely different.

Yeah, it reminds me of like stew meets risotto.

Yeah.

I will have a bit more.

One more bite.

Yeah.

In he goes.

In he goes.

We're also planning to share this one.

Mmmm.

And you know what the mains have been so good that I'm already thinking about dessert.

We're going to get 2 desserts guys.

Two oh wow!

Yeah.

We're not messing around.

Haha.

Decided right here and now.

And because our mains were just so good we had to sample the dessert menu.

We had to to see what it is all about.

And they have some really creative desserts.

Yep.

For mine I ordered a lavender cheesecake.

Lavender.

Like who knew that was an ingredient you could use in the kitchen.

Yeah.

It is a bit of chocolate.

I like how they put it in the jar too.

You can tell there is a crumbly layer at the bottom.

Oh yeah.

There sure is.

It might take a while to get to it.

So let's see.

It is way down there.

Is that good?

Mmmm.

Very different?

Wow.

It is like halfway between creamy and mousy.

Okay.

And it has a nice lavender aroma.

Yeah.

But not a lavender taste.

I mean I have no idea what lavender would taste like.

Okay.

But you just get like a nice scent of it.

So it is a scent?

Yeah.

It is the scent of it.

It is really nice.

I'm not sure I ever eaten anything with lavender before so this is like ooh.

Oh wow.

Alright and Sam got really excited about the look of this cake that we're not entirely

sure.

It looks so beautiful.

Yeah exactly.

I think it is uh caramel chocolate tart.

Mmmhmm.

And it has pistachios on the outside.

Yeah.

I do know that.

Here is the caramel.

So I'm going to get a bit of that.

I think it is salted.

It is hiding.

It might be salted caramel.

Oh that would be nice.

Whoops.

I am making a mess of this.

Sorry guys.

I'll dig in.

Oh.

Mmmm.

Oh yeah.

How is that?

It is really good.

The bottom it is the bottom has a lot of nuts.

Oh.

Yeah.

Way more nuts than I thought.

And this part here is really mousy.

Okay.

It is not creamy at all.

Do you want to take out a big piece so we can see the inside?

Yeah sure of the tart.

Sure.

I'm really curious.

Sure.

Because this is what it looks like.

The backside here.

This is what it looks like.

Let's turn it around for you.

Turning it around.

See.

Oh.

Now.

Wow.

It looks like there is some more salted caramel in the middle.

Wow.

And you got yourself a little coffee.

I did.

I got a cappuccino.

And I know purists.

Traditionalists would say never order a cappuccino after a big meal but it is still my favorite.

A milk based cream based coffee.

Oh yeah.

This is great.

Yeah.

What a beautiful meal.

Wonderful.

I know it is like a little date.

It has been a little date.

A nice lunch date.

And it has just been so tasty.

Everything has been so good.

Such high quality food.

Yeah.

I just love this place.

Maybe we can find another way to sneak in a visit before leave but haha.

That is kind of the plan right now.

Alright alright.

Price point for that fabulous meal?

That was fabulous.

So that came to 350 Kuna which was 47 Euros.

Not cheap.

A little bit of a splurge for us.

Yes.

But yeah that place was a bit more upscale a little bit gourmet type of restaurant.

Oh yes.

But my goodness that was a burger that I will not forget for a very long time.

I know like it was so good.

That is the one item that we can't wow stop raving about.

Yeah.

Everything was delicious.

Everything was.

But that burger with truffle mayo.

So we should go over what we ordered again.

Yes.

So we got a big thing of sparkling water which we didn't show.

We got the two mains obviously the burger and the risotto.

The risotto.

We got two desserts and then I got a cappuccino as well.

Yeah.

So yeah considering how good the meal was it was a lot of food.

It was worth it was worth every Euro for sure.

I should say every Kuna.

Every Kuna.

But is was delicious.

Yeah, if you are visiting in Split and you want have a really nice meal in a nice setting.

Nice gourmet food.

Yeah, check out that place for sure.

It was fantastic.

In 5 Minutes Get Pink Lips │ Get Baby Soft Pink Lips │ Lighten Dark Lips & Get Rid Of Chapped Lips - Duration: 4:53.

Dry chapped lips are a condition when lips have an obvious dry appearance and their outer

skin gets cracked.

Chapped lips can be painful, embarrassing and uncomfortable.

This not only pains the person but it bleeds as well when the mouth is opened for eating

or to converse.

Many people try to fix the problem using over-the-counter chap sticks and lip balms and some go as far

as getting prescription balms and steroids with little result.

Curing and preventing dry, chapped lips does not require the use of harsh chemicals and

drugs.

In this video I will show you best 5 natural way to get rid of dry chapped lips.

So please click the subscribe batton and press the bell icon for more videos.

At first take 1 teaspoon of white sugar.

Add few drops of olive oil.

And half teaspoon honey.

Mix all the ingredients.

Do not let it dissolve.

Apply this mixture on your lips and scrub gently in circular motions.

Wash the scrub off with lukewarm water.

Use this scrub every alternate day initially.

Then, continue to use it once or twice a week to maintain soft and smooth lips.

Scrubbing your lips will exfoliate and get rid of the layer of dry and flaky skin.

As a result, your lips will become soft and supple.

This also reveals their natural color as circulation is improved.

Sugar is an excellent exfoliate that can be found in every kitchen and used for treating

chapped lips.

Take some of honey.

Apply a layer of honey on your lips with fingers or cotton ball.

Apply a layer of Vaseline on top of this.

Leave these on for 10 to 15 minutes.

Use a damp tissue or a damp cloth or cotton to wipe it off.

Repeat this once every day for about a week for lasting results.

Honey has amazing antibacterial properties and is one of natures best healing agents.

Vaseline or petroleum jelly is widely used to soften and nourish the skin and prevent

it from drying.

It seals in the moisture in the skin.

By combining these two ingredients, we get a very effective home remedy for chapped lips.

At first take a cucumber and make it a slice.

Rub the cucumber slice gently on your lips for a minute or two.

Leave the cucumber juice on for 10 minutes and then wash your lips.

You can also mash 1 or 2 cucumber slices and apply this as a mask on your lips.

Take an aloe leaf and Cut the aloe leaf sideways and scoop out the gel.

Apply the gel on your lips and leave it on overnight.

Apply aloe vera gel on the lips regularly before going to bed.

Aloe contains natural ingredients that soothe the chapped skin and gently remove the dead

layer of skin cells.

It helps to strengthen the thin protective layer of skin on the lips and also provides

a cooling effect.

Take 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

Add 1 teaspoon of honey.

Add Half teaspoon of castor oil.

Mix all the ingredients and apply as a mask on your lips.

Keep it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse with water.

Middle School BASE - Duration: 2:09.

3,2...

At Cresthill Middle School...

Go.

They're checking out...

(body check)

something new.

This is the very first year

There he goes.

A game of floor hockey is just the start.

See how it comes off a little bit?

It's an idea that's been brewing since January of 2017.

Pop it right out.

That's when Sterling Decosta approached the district with a proposal.

We need a program for our middle schoolers for the summer.

Together with Mike Leon…

So we've been out here going on, I think, 11 years.

11 years.

they'd had great success with similar programs in California.

We knew the model would work.

If it worked there it would work here.

We just had to get, you know, somebody to listen.

This summer…

(banging stick)

It was game on for Teen Scene U.

Cresthill was kind enough to give us their facility to start this whole thing out.

Keep it going guys!

For these educators in this field,

it's been a dream.

Hey if you build it they will come, and that's what's been going on.

More than 70 kids have registered.

We even get kids coming from Parker.

Besides all the different sports and cooking, there are science and art classes.

Add in field trips to places like Elitch's and Water World and it's still less than

the cost of a typical summer camp.

Try to keep it inside the mold.

It's a program that's filling in a gap.

We are trying to develop a program for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

They're just stuck in that middle so it's so hard.

And an 11 year old is at the age where they can't stay home alone - that they really

do have to have some type of supervision during the summer months.

They can go for one day.

They can go for, you know, a week or two days - whatever they like.

The secret to their success is the action.

They're never bored!

We want to keep the kids active all day long.

Mine! Mine! Mine!

I love sports.

I love being active.

It's the kind of fun that all ages can appreciate.

(laugh)

I actually kind of wonder who's having more fun, them or the tweens.

As for the future of this pilot program?

(hockey goal)

They have some goals in mind.

To have like nine schools - and to have nine of these programs and they run almost year-round.

These kids wouldn't mind at all.

She's having so much fun.

Her previous camp she would beg me to pick her up as soon as I could, and here she's

texting me saying "don't pick me up now."

And that's, to me, that's the biggest kudos you can get.

Holland - I'm not Afraid VIDEO REACTION with eng subtitles #2 - Duration: 6:16.

Welcome to the second episode of the video reaction.

In this episode we will see

the comeback of Holland "I'm not afraid" and

I'm very curious about him because I think

I'm stuck by his videos because he's dumpling and

that's it now we see the video.

it's just started

and it's so beautiful ...

but it's going to go naked with only pants ...

it's quiet

his voice is so relaxing ..

that is at least this ..

Holland has a particular beauty

and with this hair mekes more .. make more particular

* laughs *

That Cute

* sings *

this is because he was in the teaser

* sings *

I like that in his videos

he is not alone, he does not put only Koreans

because he is much

more expansive ..

i mean

let's say there are many ethnicities in this video

* sings *

* laughs *

cuteeee!

hat is, what a nice video

I like

I WANT THIS SHIRT THAT'S NOT RIGHT

... lady those shoes could avoid them but it's okay

awwww

how nice when he smiles.

that is the nice thing in this video there is also a drag queen

and it is very beautiful

heeey

* sings *

is very linear as a song

but VERY GOOD

HEY

* sings *

* sings *

I'm curious that something happens here

* sings *

* sings *

hey that looks intense ..

HERE'S THE BEAUTIFUL MAKE OUT ..

I've always had that impression that Holland

only for the excuse of mv he can

make out with every hot guys ..

there are me if you want if you're interested eh

* sings *

but be make out of each other ..

that cute Holland!

the song stay linear

as song did not have manyyyyy

changes in the sense

but I liked it. Congratulations Holland

you're freaking hot but it's okay.

You could do a little better a little bit

you know some jolt of sound, like some Climax

hey!

why in this in this part of the video has green hair?

WTF

what does "On the Sencond Moon" mean !?

you are telling me that you are hiding some atheist back

here in addition to the fact that in the photos teaser

wrote to us ... ehm what was it like? I do not remember ..

ah "Twin vol. 1" and like uuuhm

there is something underneath and you do not want to tell us anything is still !?

Crafty!! aaaand

aaaaand the positive side of this video that is

that I just say it before, is that he in his videos uhm

uuuhm

that is, shows his true being

that you could see with

Neverland the previous video, the first debut single ..

he came out and declared himself gay ..

the first Korean gay idol

and I accept This thing because it deserves it ..

deserves the talent-I mean you deserve talent...

you deserve success

aaaand

nothing

this song is very linear, that is after all as Neverland that is quite linear.

has been linear like the last song ..

but the time, the rythm was quite different

that's good

aaaand

could not miss the make-out because we are not

happy... the other thing that I liked so much is that

he in this video "I'm not afraid" has ..

how can I say ..

that is

compared to other videos

of kpop... he

has put more ethnicity in the sense

that there were those of color

and there was also a drag queen which is the first time that appears

in Korean videos

and like YES!

BYEEE!

Button Lovers Club - June 2018 Nest Buttons Box Review - Duration: 6:46.

I am welcome to Darvanalee Designs Studio my name's Nicole Reed and I just wanted to

share with you what came in the mail today so um I have been waiting for this

one I basically seen the announcement on YouTube

it'd be a couple of months ago now so I've been waiting patiently for this one

and it's finally here so it is just another button company I got this

through the fat quarter shop and I will leave a Philly a link down below for you

is so if you want to get it for yourself or get the next one it'll be down there

for you so um it's just another button company has put this box together so as

a subject the name suggests it's buttons so I'm just going to open it as I said

it's just came from the postman and I thought I'll quickly do this unboxing to

show you it's the nest button box so I'll just open that up open

okay alright so there we go we've just opened that up a little button has

escaped so it's as I said it's the nest buttons and I will just get that a

little bit closer for you and I'm really really excited about this one because as

you all know my name's Nicole and it has these little patterns now it doesn't

include the fabric it is just the buttons I did have my little pouch here

on how much it was but I'll link all that up down below for you on how much

it cost me to get to the door so it comes with a little cover and it just

tells you the different things that they've got on their blog so it says go

to our blog just another button company for instructions on how to create the

projects on the front of this card you'll also find the free bird

application there as well and then it's got a couple of little things you know

like it's got the nest fabric by Leila boutique for mode ah it's got the

splendid sampler book by Pat Sloan and Jane Davison yes so it's just a little

um just a little advertisement there and there's no coupon code or anything like

that just telling you what to do as I said it's from just another button

company and it's um buttons lovers club is what it's called and it's

words with buttons so as you can see there's some cute little projects there

and that's the bird one that they were referring to okay and you can see on

that they're just little cushions that they've made and they've included

everything they've used in those projects they've included here so you've

got for the the bird pillow it comes with these buttons to spell out nest

because the boxes nest buttons it's um it's got the name of it on there

as well and it's got everything that you need in there so there's a couple of

little flowers there's a little wooden button there as well a couple of greens

clear buttons and then the ones that have the letters on it as well and then

we've got the party packs they are calling them and mine has got a little

split in the bottom so I turn that upside down um so a couple of them have

escaped and I'd say that's happened in shipping just rolling around so it's

called party pack and I'm assuming the color they're calling it like and that's

all the information it has on there it's just another button company um and the

button is a quite good quality I'm really happy with them like it just

feeling nice there's a couple of flower wines there's some dark get darker color

ones there's large ones as I said the Box the the packet is a little bit split

so they're all escaping at the moment and yes so basically you get a fair

amount of buttons and I would hazard a guess and say that you would end up with

some leftover and you'd be able to use them for other products that you're

making so you can see there there's quite a good different variety of

buttons in there's different shapes on them there's different textures yeah so

they're really really cute and then the same over with this one this one's

called peachy keen again it's a party pack and you can see there that they've

got some beautiful colored buttons in it and they just sort of like the peach

color and there's just varying shades of it so

I'm really excited that this one I have been waiting for this one to turn up and

in in my eagerness to to get it I thought that I didn't order it

originally and then I went in and ordered it again and then I had to fix

it up because I was going to get two boxes of it and I didn't really want to

boxes that so they were great they ended up canceling one of them and they were

really understanding that I was just an eager beaver and basically wanted to to

get my my buttons so I'm looking really looking forward to getting into these

products I'm going to head over to their blog now and

have a look at the projects that they've got there and hopefully I'll be able to

show you some of the finished products that I've done with it I hope you really

enjoyed this video today of the Ness buttons from the button lovers Club

How to make Cheesy omelette with Mushrooms//चीसी मशरुम आमलेट//চেয়েসি মাশরুম অমলেট - Duration: 6:38.

to friends welcome back to my channel cooking with dimples do subscribe my

channel and don't forget to press the bell icon this is called cheesy omelette

with mushrooms very quick and simple breakfast recipe or even you can serve

this as a quick snack in the evening so delicious to eat and definitely the kids

enjoy it a lot as here so if you like you can omit cheese do share my

recipes with your friends and families and leave a comment this dish is very

quick to make in the early morning breakfast especially my kids go early in

the morning 6:20 they leave my home so it's very easy to make then two eggs for

two omelettes 1/2 onion chopped white oil for cooking you can even use olive

oil sliced mushrooms bell peppers here I have used the red one it's sweeter in

taste salt to taste and pepper powder and of course the key ingredient is

cheese you can use any cheese of your choice so this is the regular processed

cheese I'm using here take a nonstick pan and add some oil heat the oil

properly and then add the chopped onions

saute it for a few seconds and then add the bell peppers continue to stir and

then add mushrooms so all goes in together saute it but it should not turn

soft so be careful with it now add salt to taste so very little salt goes in

add pepper powder to taste if your kids are eating and if they are too small

just balance the pepper powder but it goes very well in this type of omelets

so this will take a minute to saute you can use olive oil you can use butter you

can even mix oil and butter now add the egg so I have beaten the egg

and poured it in the pan remember one thing if you see your eggs are breaking

just add little bit like 1/2 teaspoon of flour but here I have not added any

flour so you have to handle it very carefully but if it's difficult you can

add very little flour in that beaten egg beat it properly so that there are no

lumps and then added back to the pan cover it with a lid so that it cooks

properly and evenly

after half a minute open the lid and you can see your omelette is almost ready to

be served so just before turning it over I will add some grated cheese I will

grate the cheese on top of this so the more cheese you add the more tasty this

omelette is obviously that you can balance

be very careful while turning it off over so you have to handle it very

carefully so you can see this looks really very colorful and tasty and smell

of the cheese is coming it's like really so mouth-watering so now ready to be

served

same day I will make another armlet

mushroom has a meaty smell and it goes very well in this type of omeletts and

this way it you can feed kids some mushrooms they are very healthy

if you do not have mushrooms you can add grated paneer in this or even par boiled

chicken I will show those some other day

so let's see so another omelette is almost ready

this dish is ready to be served so I made this for breakfast but it goes very

well in this monsoon in the evening snack also so friends do try this recipe

and let me know in my comment section about the dish and if you have any

queries or any other dish you want me to make particularly I will definitely try

to show if I know that see you soon with some other recipe happy cooking friends

Practice Feel To Strike Your Irons Pure Every Time! - Duration: 4:34.

Hi, my name is Jim Roy, former PGA and Champions Tour player.

I'm here in Syracuse, New York, at my home course, Bellevue Country Club, and in this

video, I'm going to help you pure your iron shots.

One of the biggest problems I see in my teaching is the inability for a lot of students to

hit down on the golf ball.

They're constantly trying to help the ball in the air.

I see swings where they're back here like this, and they're always trying to lift it.

Well, if you watch all the tour pros, both in the LPGA and on the PGA Tour, they are

doing the exact opposite.

They're hitting the ball with a descending blow.

So, hopefully, in this video, I'm going to give you a few tips and suggestions and a

couple drills that might help you compress the golf ball better and hit pure iron shots.

So, one of the things I see people do all the time is they get up to the top of their

swing, and they've got a real active right leg, and a lot of times, it spins right out

where this heel now has gone backwards and their whole center of gravity is back here,

and they don't have any chance at all to make a descending blow.

One of the things that has helped my students, and me too, is to hit some balls where we're

going to angle our right foot.

We're going to flare it out, which kind of is going to soften this right leg and quiet

it down.

It's going to help you feel like your upper body can stay more stacked over your lower

body.

So, try this out.

Flare this foot.

You're going to feel like you're able to keep your upper body over the ball more.

Start out with some little shots like this.

You can see I'm finishing good into my left side, hitting down on the golf ball, and my

right leg hasn't done a lot of crazy moves to get me off my center here.

So, let's do another one.

Angling the right foot back, you're going to get a good sensation that you can keep

your center on the golf ball as you turn through the shot.

And you can see I'm hitting down on the golf ball with a nice divot.

Another thing I see with my students is they're always making practice swings and they're

never hitting the ground, and I think, in this game, we become what we practice.

So, I think it's important that you start making some practice swings and take a divot

out front.

If I've got a shaft here perpendicular to my target line, even with this golf ball,

when I'm making a practice swing, I need to be able to brush the grass in front of this

shaft.

It's in front of the golf ball.

The divot doesn't start at the ball, it starts on the target side of the ball.

Make your practice swings where you're brushing the grass in front of the golf shaft.

That's really, really important.

So, I have this shaft down here.

I'm going to hit a couple shots where I'm going to get forward.

If you zoom in here, you'll see that my little divot here started in front of the shaft,

which means I had a descending blow on the ball.

This is a good drill for people who struggle taking a divot, is put a golf shaft right

there in line with the golf ball.

I also have a tee behind this ball in the ground, basically a club-head length behind

it.

That's going to give you another visual, that you want to be able to get that club descending

into that golf ball in front of that tee to help you hit down on the ball.

So, let's hit another one.

Right foot's going to be quieter.

I'm going to feel like I'm forward and able to turn through the shot, hitting the golf

ball first.

Again, if you look here, there's where the shaft pointed to.

You can see both of those divots started in front of the golf ball.

So, try these tips and these drills, and see if you can start compressing the golf ball,

get a little more distance and accuracy.

* laughs *

That Cute

* sings *

this is because he was in the teaser

* sings *

I like that in his videos

he is not alone, he does not put only Koreans

because he is much

more expansive ..

i mean

let's say there are many ethnicities in this video

* sings *

* laughs *

cuteeee!

hat is, what a nice video

I like

I WANT THIS SHIRT THAT'S NOT RIGHT

... lady those shoes could avoid them but it's okay

but be make out of each other ..

that cute Holland!

ah "Twin vol. 1" and like uuuhm

there is something underneath and you do not want to tell us anything is still !?

Crafty!! aaaand

aaaaand the positive side of this video that is

that I just say it before, is that he in his videos uhm

uuuhm

that is, shows his true being

that you could see with

Neverland the previous video, the first debut single ..

he came out and declared himself gay ..

the first Korean gay idol

and I accept This thing because it deserves it ..

deserves the talent-I mean you deserve talent...

you deserve success

aaaand

nothing

this song is very linear, that is after all as Neverland that is quite linear.

has been linear like the last song ..

but the time, the rythm was quite different

that's good

aaaand

could not miss the make-out because we are not

happy... the other thing that I liked so much is that

he in this video "I'm not afraid" has ..

how can I say ..

that is

compared to other videos

of kpop... he

has put more ethnicity in the sense

that there were those of color

and there was also a drag queen which is the first time that appears

in Korean videos

and like YES!

BYEEE!

LEGO Aquaman 2018 set pictures! - Duration: 1:01.

Hello just2good here and, Brick Heroes has discovered hi-res pictures for the LEGO Aquaman

Movie set - which is now on the French LEGO Shop at Home.

The set seems to be a thirty dollar set that releases August 1st - and overall, it's decent.

I'll say this - better than a lot of the recent DC Super Heroes sets in general.

I think the sub, which looks a bit like a manta, is an interesting enough build, and

the minifigures are all exclusive.

I especially like Mera who has this really nice turquios outfit.

I never got the original LEGO Black Manta, so I'm glad I'll get him here - they just

reuse the old one's head piece but now in black.

I'm still amazed we're getting a set on this movie, though it's definitely a retail exclusive

in the United States.

The Justice League sets apparently sold very poorly in the United States.

Anyways, what do you guys think of this set?

Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

I'm going on vacation through the weekend so I might not be on top of LEGO news, but

we'll see.

I'll see you guys later, peace out, bye.

HANK: The final phase of your training will be a stealth incursion.

SCOTT: It's freezing!

You couldn't make a suit with a flannel lining?

You must retrieve this prototype of a signal decoy.

It's a device that I invented during my S.H.I.E.L.D. days.

HOPE: We need it to counteract the transmission blockers

that Cross installed in the Futures vault.

It's currently collecting dust

in one of Howard Stark's old storage facilities in upstate New York.

Should be a piece of cake.

You're over the target area.

Disengage now, Scott!

Squadron A, go!

B, go!

C, go!

All right, Ant-thony, please don't drop me this time.

Oh, it feels like a big leap from sugar cubes to this!

Stay calm.

SCOTT: Guys? We might have a problem.

Hank, didn't you say this was some old warehouse?

It's not!

You son of a bitch!

- Scott, get out of there. - Abort!

Abort now!

No, it's okay. It doesn't look like anyone's home.

Ant-thony, get me to the roof!

He's gonna lose the suit.

He's gonna lose his life.

(GRUNTS)

All right, I'm on the roof of the target building.

Somebody's home, Scott.

MAN: What's going on down there, Sam?

SCOTT: It's the Falcon!

FALCON: I had a sensor trip but I'm not seeing anything.

Wait a second.

HANK: Abort, Scott! Abort now!

It's okay. He can't see me.

FALCON: I can see you.

SCOTT: He can see me.

Hi. I'm Scott.

HOPE: Did he just say, "Hi, I'm Scott"?

- What are you doing here? - First off, I'm a big fan.

Appreciate it. So, who the hell are you?

I'm Ant-Man.

"Ant-Man"?

What? You haven't heard of me?

No, you wouldn't have heard of me.

You wanna tell me what you want?

I was hoping I could grab a piece of technology.

Just for a few days. I'm gonna return it.

I need it to save the world. You know how that is.

I know exactly how that is.

Located the breach.

- Bringing him in. - Sorry about this!

What the hell are you doing?

FALCON: Breach is an adult male, who has some sort of shrinking tech.

SCOTT: Sorry!

Look, I'm sorry about this. Sorry.

That's enough!

(GROANING)

Ant-thony! A little help!

I've lost visual.

(GRUNTING)

He's inside my pack!

Sorry!

You seem like a really great guy.

(GRUNTING)

It's really important to me that Cap never finds out about this.

Why You Can't Understand Native ENGLISH Speakers (movies/TV & real life) - Duration: 7:59.

Hi guys. Welcome back to English with Max. Do you find it difficult to understand

native English speakers? Do you understand your English teacher, but then

find it difficult to understand movies and TV series? Well, don't worry, you are

not alone. This is actually really common, and in this video I'm going to tell you

the main reasons why. We'll look at understanding people in real life, and in

movies and TV shows. Hopefully if you understand the reasons why, you will

worry about it a bit less, because you'll see that it's very normal, and it might

also help you realise which areas in English you maybe need to focus on more.

Know hope!

As always, remember that you can follow me on social media. Don't forget

to subscribe (it's completely free, so why not?), and if you want to watch this video

with subtitles, you just need to turn on the captions. First let's look at

understanding native English speakers in real life. One reason why it might be

difficult to understand people is that native English speakers don't tend to

learn other languages. Often if people aren't used to learning languages, they

don't necessarily understand the difficulties that a non-native speaker

might have. In addition, they might assume that you understand everything and

therefore they probably won't make an effort to speak more slowly. If you've

watched my videos before, you will know that I do speak some foreign languages.

But I'm not saying this to sound superior. The only reason I learnt

foreign languages was because it's my passion - it's something that interests me.

Honestly, if it didn't interest me, I probably would have just

studied French for one year in high school, because when I was at school that

was the minimum requirement. I think it's a shame that it's not compulsory to

study a foreign language for several years in English-speaking countries,

but English is the international language and that's just the way it is.

Another reason why you might not understand native speakers in real life is that we

often speak badly. For example, we often make grammatical mistakes and some of us

mumble. Mumbling is when you don't open your mouth

very wide and you therefore don't speak very clearly. I'm an English teacher, so I

probably make fewer mistakes than the average person (I hope), but it does happen

to me sometimes as well. Particularly when I'm speaking quickly or I'm just

not paying attention. And I definitely mumble sometimes. It's a bad habit.

Now I have two things that just apply to movies and TV shows. The first thing is

that characters in movies and TV series often don't speak like people in real life.

Have you ever thought: Why do fictional characters often sound so smart?

Well, it's because they have scriptwriters, so very often they use

vocabulary or constructions that we don't necessarily use every day.

Of course that's not always the case - it depends on the movie or the show - but

often the English isn't as simple as in real life. Secondly there is often other

noise that can make the dialogue difficult to understand. For example,

background music, sound effects or just other background noise. If you're a

native speaker, or you have a very advanced level, that's not normally a

big problem because it's not so important for you to understand every

single word. If you are very used to listening to a language, your mind will

subconsciously fill in the gaps, so to speak, if you

don't understand every word. But if you don't have a lot of experience listening

to a language, obviously it will be a bit harder. Now let's look at some things

that apply to both real life, and movies and series. Firstly, there are lots of

different accents in the world. Obviously if you're not used to hearing a certain

accent, you might find it difficult to understand. But if it makes you feel any

better, that often happens to native speakers as well. The second thing is

slang. Slang is something that you don't often learn in English lessons and it

also changes from place to place. (Yay!)

The third thing is contractions.

We use lots of contractions in English. There are the standard contractions like

"don't" and "I'm", and there are also spoken informal contractions, like "gonna",

"wanna", "coulda", etc. If you are not used to contractions, you will definitely find it

hard to understand native speakers. I've actually already made some videos on

contractions. The links will be in the description. The fourth thing is

reductions. This is something that I could probably make several videos about.

Reductions are sounds that change or disappear when we speak at a normal or

high speed. For example, this sentence pronounced slowly is: Do you want a cup of tea?

But we don't normally say that. We would say:

Do you want a cup'v tea? Do ya want a cuppa tea?

D'you wanna cuppa tea? Or even: Dge wanna cuppa tea?

And the final thing is connected speech.

This is something else that I could probably make several videos about, and it's

similar to the concept of reductions. Connected speech is when one word

follows into the next word. For example, we don't usually say: "This afternoon."

We normally say: Thissafternoon. Thissafternoon.

Thanks very much for watching, guys.

If you liked the video, please hit the thumbs up. Let me know in the

comments if you find it difficult to understand native speakers and why,

and also tell me if you can think of any other reasons that I haven't mentioned

in this video. See you next time.

But, behind every top song, there's a story and meaning maybe we didn't hear initially.

Sometimes it's masked by the sound of the song. For instance, an upbeat tune may have

a darker meaning hidden in the lyrics. Of course, other times, the stories behind these

songs are funny and insightful, making things much clearer. Be ready, because many of these

true stories behind the songs might radically change how you listen to them. I'm Mike with

List25 and here are 25 insane stories behind top songs.

25.

Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools

When released in 2012, "Swimming Pools" by Kendrick Lamar became an instant party anthem.

But, ironically, the song lyrics are about how alcohol and peer pressure ruined Lamar's

life.

24. Aerosmith - Dude Looks Like A Lady

When Aerosmith hung out with the guys from Motely Crue, they rolled their eyes at how

every sentence they said started with "Dude." Even more, at one point, they saw what looked

like a girl with bleach blonde hair but when that person turned around it was Vince Neil.

This turned into the riff, "Dude looks like a lady."

23. Journey - Don't Stop Believin'

This classic and overplayed rock ballad from 1981 has a little bit of a factual error in

it. South Detroit doesn't exist. When written, Steve Perry tried North Detroit, East Detroit,

and West Detroit, but for him, South Detroit sounded the best. So, he went with it. Later

he found out "South Detroit" is really just Canada.

22. Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl

This pop song and instant dance track sensation was written as a direct response to Courtney

Love dissing Stefani, calling her a cheerleader. I'd say Stefani wins for best comeback.

21. Van Halen - Jump

This upbeat and peppy song is pretty dark when you know what inspired the lyrics. David

Lee Roth came up with the line "Go ahead and jump" after seeing a news broadcast of a guy

standing on top of Arco Tower, threatening to commit suicide.

20. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

The common belief is that this song is about drugs. But, Roger Waters, the writer, insists

it isn't. It's actually about what it felt like when he was sick as a kid, disconnected

from reality and sometimes entering delirium.

19. Woody Guthrie - This Land Is Your Land

Though sometimes considered a second American national anthem, this song originally was

a protest song Guthrie recorded in 1944 in response to how much "God Bless America" was

played during The Great Depression. The controversial lyrics, however, were either never recorded

or later removed due to fear of McCarthyism.

18. Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life

With catchy riffs and plenty of "Doo-Doo-Doos," this poppy song is actually about falling

apart and someone dealing with drug addiction. Stephan Jenkins wanted the riffs to feel shiny

and bright like the feeling of being on speed.

17. Noël Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker - Do

You Hear What I Hear? Many believe this Christmas classic was written

a long time ago. It was actually written by Noël Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker in

1962 during the Cold War and Cuban Missile Crisis. They were in the recording studio

listening to the radio and were afraid they were about to be obliterated by nuclear missiles.

So, they wrote it about the Nativity Story during the Cold War.

16. Fastball - The Way

This chart-topping 1998 single was interpreted about eternal youth and a road trip that never

ends. However, in a dark twist, it was actually inspired by a news story of an elderly couple

that left for a festival in Texas and disappeared. When the band decided to record the song,

they read in the newspaper that the elderly couple was found dead at the bottom of a canyon

in their Oldsmobile, hundreds of miles off course.

15. Bob Marley - I Shot The Sheriff

Some might think this song would be pretty straightforward. However, Marley's girlfriend

claims it's actually about birth control. She said Marley thought birth control was

a sin and the doctor prescribing them was the "sheriff." These lyrics specifically bring

light to this interpretation: “Sheriff John Brown always hated me/For what, I don’t

know/Every time I plant a seed/He said kill it before it grow.â€

14. Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run

This upbeat song was briefly considered by the New Jersey state legislature to be their

state song, but it was shot down in the Senate. It's kind of easy to see why. Despite its

peppy sound, the lyrics are much harsher: "Baby, this town rips the bones from your

back. It's a death trap. It's a suicide rap."

13. Carly Simon - You're So Vain

While it was unknown who Carly Simon spoke about when she wrote and sang "You're So Vain,"

she eventually admitted it was about Warren Beatty.

12. Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4

Many believe this song is about drugs and being on LSD. But, that interpretation is

wrong. According to Robert Lamm, the song was written when they were recording songs

late at night and is about time.

11. Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water

This song with the universally noticeable opening guitar riff was written after someone

launched a rocket inside a casino during Frank Zappa's concert. A fire broke out instantly,

destroying the casino complex. The title "Smoke On The Water" came about when Roger Glover

saw the smoke roll over Lake Geneva as the fire raged inside the casino.

10. BTO - Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

This song was written by Randy Bachman and during one of the recording sessions, he recorded

a joke track stammering all the words, like "B-b-b-b-baby, you ain’t seen n-n-nothing

yet." He did it purposefully because his brother Gary Bachman had a horrible stammer at the

time. He teased his brother they were going to put it on the album, though he had no intention

of doing so. But then their producer Charley Fach intervened, saying it's their only potential

hit song. So they used the joke track and it became BTO's only #1 song.

9. Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right To Party

Everyone thinks this song is about partying. In reality, the Beastie Boys were parodying

all the songs at the time singing about partying. Adam Yauch was making fun of them but admitted

irony is often missed by people. He goes on to say, "The only thing that upsets me is

that we might have reinforced certain values of some people in our audience when our own

values were actually totally different."

8. Sixpence None The Richer - There She Goes

This popular song was actually covered by Sixpence None The Richer and was originally

written and sung by The La's. While it appears to be about a girl always getting away, in

reality, it's about the fleeting feeling after someone takes heroin and the addiction that

follows.

7. Paul McCartney - Hey Jude

This famous and beloved ballad was written during a tumultuous time for McCartney when

the Beatles weren't getting along and he and his girlfriend were splitting up. However,

he wrote it as a way to comfort and cheer up John Lennon's five-year-old son, Jules,

as his parents were getting divorced. Originally, the title was "Hey Jules" but he changed it

later. Awkwardly, John Lennon thought the song was about him as a blessing for his relationship

with Yoko Ono.

6. The Drifters - Save The Last Dance For Me

The writer of this popular ballad was Doc Pomus. He wrote it after watching his bride

dance with everyone else at their wedding. Doc Pomus was unable to dance because he had

polio.

5. John Mellencamp - Pink Houses

Many people think this song is about the American Dream. In reality, Mellencamp says it's about

how the American Dream has led to poverty and wasn't working anymore.

4. Hanson - MMMBop

This catchy, one-hit-wonder was all the rage in 1996 and most considered it a mindless

ballad. However, Hanson stated originally it had a somber tone to meet its intended

meaning but was changed to a pop song later. It's actually about the futility of life and

how the things you think are important are going to be gone.

3. Lady Gaga - Pokerface

This hit song isn't about poker or being coy. It was inspired by Lady Gaga keeping her bisexuality

hidden from her heterosexual male lover.

2. Three Dog Night - One

After trying to call someone and getting a busy signal, Harry Nilsson wrote this song.

The opening riff imitates the "boop, boop, boop" sound you hear during a busy signal.

He stayed on the line to use it as inspiration for the song.

1. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean

While driving his Rolls-Royce down the highway, Jackson wrote this song. He became so enamored

by his songwriting and the song that he didn't notice his car had caught on fire. A motorcyclist

warned him about it and saved his life in the process.

Girl miraculously survives after falling onto live electric cables - 247 news - Duration: 4:35.

A girl miraculously survived after falling on to 3,000-volt electric cables while taking a selfie from a railway bridge

The 13 year old, from central Russia, suffered severe burns and was 'writhing in excruciating pain' for an hour before being rescued

She was not killed from electrocution because she did not touch the ground. A quick-thinking train driver saw her hanging by the midriff from the wires and radioed ahead to cut power to the high voltage cable

A passerby then used a tow rope to pull the girl back to the bridge as other villagers held a rug below in case she fell 13ft on to the track below

The girl was returning home from swimming in a river with a group of friends in a rural area of central Russia when she climbed on to the side of the bridge to take a selfie as a cargo train approached

'The girl decided to take a selfie and paused at the bridge as they were crossing it,' said Yulia Makova, an official with the prosecutor's office in Ulyanovsk region

Share this article Share 'She climbed across the rails. Her female friend was chatting on her phone

'The friend heard a shriek and turned to see the girl hanging on the cables. She doesn't know how it happened

'It is unclear if the friend alerted the emergency services, but she was dangling from the wire for an hour until she was noticed by a train driver

As he approached the bridge he saw 'something strange hanging on the wires'.'I couldn't believe my eyes when I realised that this must have been a human - a girl,' he said

'She was hanging there, so tiny and helpless. She looked lifeless like a rag on a fence

'He used the emergency brake to stop the train and called his controller to cut the electricity supply

He added: 'Her body was writhing from excruciating pain, but she was aware of what was happening and was calling for help

'A local man named Alexander who heard her screams said: 'I rushed there and saw a blood-freezing scene

'We called the emergency services, and then railway workers ran to us to confirm that wires had been switched off

'I realised I could help. I moved a tow cable to go under her arms, and pulled her up back to where we could reach her

'I was dead scared that she would fall down, so several people were holding a carpet above the rails as I was doing it

'He added: 'She looked right into my eyes and told me her name and address, and a second later she was unconscious

'Her body was badly burned. I was so shocked by this that I didn't even remember her name

'I was so worried for her. I honestly didn't expect her to make it, and I was incredibly happy to hear that she survived

'The teenager, who has not been named, was rushed to Pirogova hospital and diagnosed with second and third degree burns to both arms, shoulders, wrists, and left foot

She suffered a head injury and 'electrical traumas and bruises on both legs'. When she woke up, she had no memory about what happened, doctors have said

r/nosleep: Pass It On - Duration: 22:30.

Pass It On

Let me get this out of the way:

This is not a cursed internet chain letter.

You will not be asked to forward this story.

Reading it or hearing it will not kill or curse you.

This is a story about my childhood.

A memory.

One that just resurfaced.

Kicking and screaming to the forefront of my mind.

I'd managed to forget about it, but the past always has a way of coming back around.

Forgetting didn't make it go away.

I was a kid when the internet was new and cell phones were an expensive novelty.

I didn't have as many distractions as modern children, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

Rather than pay attention in class, I'd create my own distractions.

It didn't take much.

I was a daydreamer with a well-travelled imagination.

As I got older, I became more interested in making new friends.

Real friends.

Which were easily gained when I invented a game for the entire class to play.

It wasn't exactly imaginative, but it was fun.

The game?

Passing a single note around without getting caught.

Simple, right?

The game didn't have a name.

We figured if we didn't name it, it would be a lot harder to get caught.

We didn't even use the word 'game'.

We referred to it as 'Taking Notes', just in case anyone overheard.

A lot of the fun came from the secrecy, and the 'ninja moves' we had to master in order to pass the note around unnoticed.

There were three rules:

One.

Don't get caught.

Two.

Add something.

And three.

Pass it on.

We won when the note was passed around and came back to me.

At recess, we'd read the note and have a good laugh.

Sometimes we'd collectively make up one big story, or each share a joke.

It all depended on what I wrote first.

It was only a little bit of power.

But it still went straight to my head.

Suddenly, I was the most popular kid in class!

I didn't need the daydreams, not like I used to.

We almost always won.

I'm not sure if we really were master sneaks, or if Mrs. Knott didn't care.

In order to be stealthy enough to play, we were well-behaved and didn't interrupt lessons.

It was a harmless game.

Part of our camouflage required us to actually take notes for class.

It was funny, I didn't realize the game inadvertently defeated the purpose…

Kids really aren't as clever as they think they are.

At least, I wasn't!

I remember when everything changed.

The game started off like it always did.

Every time the teacher turned to write something on the whiteboard, the note changed hands.

I could hear the scratching of pencils and pens on paper with the quiet monotony of the lesson.

My thoughts were set adrift.

I thought about how things had been different just the year before.

Real friendship was a lot less frightening than the warped version my mind had made up.

I didn't miss any of my imaginary friends.

They were all but erased as I started learning the social skills I'd lacked when I was younger.

I was roused from my reverie when Lydia jumped out of her seat.

Stumbling backwards and falling on her butt.

Most of the class laughed at her expense, all of us immature enough to find it funny.

No one disliked Lydia; she was a little chubby, but very sweet…

But seeing anyone fall like that was bound to get a laugh.

Every eye in the room watched the girl fumble and fret.

Lydia was red-faced and sweaty as she quickly collected her papers off the floor and sat back down at her desk without a word.

Her round cheeks quivered as she tried to compose herself, but the damage was already done.

"I thought I saw a spider. A big one."

Lydia explained.

"I'm sorry for interrupting, Mrs. Knott…"

Lydia hung her head, wringing her braids.

Mrs. Knott nodded and turned back to the whiteboard without comment, either accepting her explanation as true or choosing not to question it.

I turned my attention back to my note-taking, and before long…

The note made its way back.

I didn't look at it right away.

I liked to be surprised at recess.

The bell rang, and I cheerfully shuffled out the door for lunch.

The class seemed quieter than usual as we filed out and headed for the cafeteria.

Lydia stopped me in the hallway, her face was still red and her eyes glossy with unshed tears.

Lydia usually kept to herself.

She participated in 'Taking Notes', but was shy and didn't usually socialize unless she had to.

"What's the matter?"

I asked, perplexed.

We were alone in the hall, staff and students alike didn't waste time going to lunch, especially on Pizza Day.

I felt a flutter of annoyance, but given the look on Lydia's face…

I pushed it back.

"Don't show the note at recess."

Her hands gripped her twin braids.

"Please…"

"Why?"

I asked, reaching for the note so I could see what the problem was.

"Half the class already saw it since you passed it on."

"I wish I hadn't!"

She was pulling on her braids, I was worried she might pull them right off her head!

"The ga-- taking notes isn't fun anymore. Not if it's going to be like this!"

"Like what?"

My first thought was that someone drew boobs or wrote swears.

Either of those options would have been scandalous to our fourth-grade sensibilities.

Lydia looked at the note I was unfolding, chewing on her bottom lip so hard it started to swell.

In an instant, I understood the problem.

It was Lydia.

A drawing of her; so well drawn there could be no mistake.

It was almost like looking at a black and white photograph…

If not for the horizontal blue lines faintly visible beneath the expert pencil strokes.

The drawing was not at a fourth grade level, but that wasn't what was alarming about it.

In the picture, there was a horizontal cut across her stomach.

Her hand held the wound open.

...Bloody fingers digging in to pry the apparently self-inflicted wound wider…

Her other hand unravelled intestines.

Pulling them to gore-smeared lips...

...As though she were about to slurp them up like noodles.

Her chubby arms were bloody up to the elbow.

Even in black and white I could tell what I was looking at.

The rivulets were dark and glossy.

Even forming a reflective pool to display the gore from a different angle.

Never in my life had I seen something like this…

I wanted to throw up just looking at it.

I couldn't imagine how Lydia must have felt.

Once the full impact of the drawing hit me...

... I came back to my senses and crumpled the paper into a tight ball.

"I won't show anyone."

Lydia nodded, shuffling from foot to foot in an awkward dance of nerves.

The girl opened her mouth to say something else…

Then thought better of it, scurrying down the hall.

I'd lost my appetite-- no doubt Lydia did too.

The air was thick with unasked questions…

Who had drawn that?

When I'd started the note that drawing hadn't been there.

I really didn't think anyone in the class would have (or could have) drawn it.

There was no obvious explanation, but I didn't want to think about it.

For some reason, it felt wrong to even wonder.

At recess, half the kids protested when I said I'd 'lost' the note.

The other half was conspicuously quiet.

No one mentioned the drawing.

There seemed to be an unspoken rule.

We couldn't talk about it.

We didn't want to.

It was unanimous.

The next day, Lydia wasn't in class.

At first, I wasn't going to play the game.

But some of the kids kept looking at me expectantly.

Only about half the class knew what happened.

The other half expected we'd be 'Taking Notes' as usual.

For some reason, pretending it didn't happen seemed like the most sensible option.

The game continued.

I tore out a fresh sheet of notebook paper and stared down at it blankly, unsure of how to start this one.

Any sense of mischief or fun was long gone for me.

I didn't want to play anymore.

Why did it feel like I had to?

I scribbled something down, I don't even remember what.

The game began, but I didn't really pay attention until the dreaded note made its way back.

I felt like a prisoner to the game.

It was only a piece of paper, but it felt heavy to me.

I didn't know what I'd see.

I couldn't convince myself the game hadn't changed in some fundamental way.

I wasn't the only one who felt that way.

Just days before, we were all laughing and smiling…

Not anymore.

Only about half the class waited eagerly for me at recess, the other half trickling in- heavy-footed with reluctance.

It was as if they were here out of obligation.

As I smoothed out the creased note, I almost wasn't surprised to see the new drawing.

This time it was Brian.

A grisly scene sketched out with such realistic detail that my brain refused to register what I was looking at, at first.

Bubbling, blistered and blackened skin might have left him indistinguishable.

If not for the fact that his face was left untouched by the licking, angry flames.

Drawn out in color this time; red, orange, yellow and black.

Brian's dimpled smile and freckled nose were unmistakable.

His body positioned in a crouch beside a wall of flames, as though he were merely warming himself by a campfire.

Arms extended -- hands rubbing together.

Charred skin flaking off with friction.

Peppering the fire with bits of blackened flesh.

I pressed my hand over the drawing, covering it up…

But it was too late.

We'd already seen it.

Even the drawing felt hot beneath my palm.

Words and bile competing in my throat as my eyes skimmed the rest of the note.

Everything else was harmless, snippets of conversation and jokes-- benign doodles…

I recognized the handwriting, knew who wrote or doodled what.

Everyone was accounted for, except for Lydia.

The only addition I couldn't explain was that drawing.

It shouldn't have been there.

It was as though some malevolent presence had decided to include itself in our game, uninvited.

No one spoke of it, but it was clear from the shock and tears…

We'd all seen it this time.

When I pulled my hand away from the drawing, it came away stained red and black.

I buried the note, along with the one depicting Lydia by the sledding hill.

A cluster of silent children.

It felt like a funeral.

Brian was the last to leave the mound.

His skin was the color of sour milk which made his freckles seem dark in stark contrast.

He didn't cry.

He didn't ask questions.

He just stared at the dirt with glassy eyes.

Even after the bell rang and everyone else went to class.

When I began to trudge back to class reluctantly, I swear I heard a whisper.

"Pass it on."

Brian and Lydia were both absent the next day, their two empty desks an ominous reminder.

No one wanted to play, but all of us felt strangely compelled to participate.

I ripped a new page from my notebook, not caring when the paper ripped like jagged teeth along the side.

I started the game with a plea.

I don't want to play anymore.

The scrawled message almost illegible, as if even this violated some implicit rule.

My hand kept moving across the page, before I even realized what I was doing…

Before I realized I wasn't in control of my arm anymore…

I'd written a reply.

'Pass it on'

Written in perfect cursive, handwriting that wasn't my own.

I'd lost feeling in my hand, looking down at it…

It felt somehow separate from me.

Detached.

As though I were looking at someone else's hand.

My hand -- the hand -- passed the note to William next, and so the game repeated.

With each game, a new deadly prediction was pictured.

Although we didn't know what happened to the students chosen by the note, we did know that they never came back to class.

Tammy's demise was drawn.

A snarling pack of dogs tearing at her legs and snapping her bones between sharp, bloody teeth.

The girl smiled in the picture, petting one of the dogs as though it weren't tearing the flesh from her forearm.

Calvin's portrait painted his body at the bottom of nightmare stairs.

His body contorted.

Bent and broken in every unnatural direction.

His arms and legs resembled the very stairs he must have fallen from.

No one wanted to play anymore.

We were the ones being played.

When I resisted, my arm would move on it's own…

I wasn't the only one.

We stopped looking at the drawings, but it didn't matter.

Someone would still be missing the next day.

… Then we were caught.

That day, there were seven empty desks.

Lucy was about to finish the eighth deadly game when Mrs. Knott swivelled around from the whiteboard and caught her slim wrist.

Without hesitating, the teacher took the note out of her hand and began lecturing us about 'disrupting our learning environment'.

The lecture was worth it.

By getting caught, Lucy had lost the game.

Losing the game had freed us somehow, breaking whatever hold it had over us.

We never played the game again.

Seven students never returned to school.

As children, we were spared any sort of explanation

And no one asked.

I spent the rest of that year, and every year after that... as a serious student.

I went back to being a loner with no friends or games of any kind.

I didn't even go to recess, opting to work on homework or read books in the quiet solitude of the library instead.

I didn't think about what happened for a long time, I moved on with my life.

Until last night.

I was drinking by myself at the bar into the early hours, hoping that liquor would lubricate my sleepless night.

An old woman claimed the stool beside me, her body stooped with age.

That didn't stop her from swallowing several shots in quick succession.

I didn't pay her much mind, staring vacantly at the assortment of hard liquor as a drunken haze began to sweep over me like a warm blanket.

I could feel the woman's intent stare as she slid a piece of paper towards me.

A soft rustle I somehow heard even over the loud music.

I stared down at the note on the counter.

Dirty notebook paper, folded into a square with frayed edges.

I looked up at the woman, her mouth was moving soundlessly.

But I could tell she was saying the same thing.

Over and over again.

Pass.

It.

On.

I recognized the woman-- it was Mrs. Knott.

There was no doubt about it.

She hadn't aged well, her eyes dark and haunted, touched with madness.

Her features were haggard and pale.

Her body frail-- as though she were made of paper-mâché.

I didn't need to open the note to know what it was.

For all these years, that last game had gone unfinished…

Until Mrs. Knott... Passed it on

… Back to me.

The game was won.

I can't begin to guess what happened to my old teacher.

But it was enough to drive her to seek me out and deliver this note.

I had to take it.

Although my right hand felt like it was filled with pins and needles, it was my choice to reach out and take it.

The game had been my idea.

The lives lost were my burden to bear.

The curse could only end with me.

"Thank you, I'll take it from here.

You protected us…

I'm so sorry."

It was clear my old teacher had been fighting this curse for so long-- long enough that I had time to forget.

Forgetting didn't make it go away.

"I'm sorry too…" she weakly whispered, terror and regret competing on her face.

We both sat and drank for a while, before I sent her home in a cab and headed home to face my fate.

I haven't slept since; the note is on my desk, unopened.

It doesn't matter, even if I don't look… The game is over.

I don't even need to wonder who this game will claim next.

Although I live alone, I haven't been alone since the note found its way back.

From the corner of my eye, a dark, ungraspable shape asks:

"Did you miss me?"

I wrote my story knowing no one will believe it, there isn't time to do anything else…

Fortunately, there's nothing to leave behind.

No family, no friends, not even a pet.

Maybe I knew this would happen all along, somewhere deep down…

I didn't want anyone to miss me.

Meeting this monster, I realized something I'd secretly suspected all along.

Whatever this creature is, I know it.

I'd called it my friend once, back in those daydreaming days.

This nameless, shapeless thing…

My imagination had taken credit for it, an innocent assumption.

I'd turned my back on a lonely darkness, but it wouldn't let me go.

It's what people say, right? A rat race.

No, I get that, but what did you do exactly?

"Rat race" is an expression, right?

I mean, really insane...

Damn if... How do people say?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't,

Working 24/7, you know? Sleeping while awake?

I see. So, let's... Where?

Where did you work? The name of the company.

When I got home, my wife couldn't recognize my face.

I didn't have time to drink water.

A real rat race. Insane.

I mean, lots, lots of work.

What about your position?

Well, I played in all 11 positions, right?

If there were 13, I would play. I would cross and head it myself.

You know how it goes, right?

Industry demands.

I'm in this industry for 20 years, imagine that.

Let's change the subject, shall we?

Take the focus off working.

On your spare time,

what do you like to do on your spare time?

On my spare time, I work.

On my spare time, what I do the most is working.

If you have spare time, you should work.

Okay.

What's your spirit animal?

What would that be?

Who thinks about animals is not working.

I'd rather work than think about animals.

If there's one non-working thing, that's an animal.

Would I work with a beaver? No.

If it's hard for us, imagine for them.

Have you seen an eagle work? You haven't.

It just flies around, watching from up there.

Now, work, for real, people do that.

Look, we're in a hurry to hire someone.

We're going to make a test. You seem to be open.

And then we'll see what happens.

You can start...

on Monday.

-All right? Thanks. Jessica... -Monday?

Just a sec. I'm kind of busy on Monday.

Monday I'll be on the clock, Monday is a crazy day.

Okay. When can you start?

A little bit later.

I mean, really, really later. I'll be in touch.

As soon as I have some spare time, okay?

Thanks.

-Hi, babe. -Hi.

So, how was the interview today?

Not so good.

They're not hiring. The industry is terrible.

-It's insane. -Really?

So, let's go out to dinner.

-Today? Today... -Yeah.

I don't have time for dinner.

It's crazy around here, it's...

it's insane, it's... a rat race here.

Are you okay?

I don't have time to be okay.

You're only okay when you have spare time.

I am... shit. How can I be okay?

I have loads of things to do, how can I be okay?
