Here below.
The first and most important thing is to draw a sketch
of the idea that we have in mind.
This will help us see the process more clearly
when it comes to building the table
and the pieces we need.
Let's start with the base.
It was quite difficult to find
a table with the measurements that I had in mind,
so I bought two tables two meters long.
This, besides being more economical affordable,
allows us to have a lot of room
to cut them to the desired size.
In my case I made the base
150 cm long by 70 cm wide.
While I saw the length of the two boards,
we can observe my spring / fall peg outfit,
the flip flops with socks.
Because it is neither cold enough nor warm enough
to carry something worthy as you see.
We also need to cut a few slats
so that the two boards of the base are well put together and straight.
Then we began to unite everything with wood glue.
To be completely united,
we stick strips on the ends that will cross from one side to the other.
We can use a few clamps
so that they make a much stronger pressure
and help us hold the slats
while reinforcing them with screws.
When pressing with the clamps
it is normal for a considerable excess of tail to come out.
I recommend you clean it quite well at the same time,
otherwise once it dries
it will leave a mark that will affect
the final aesthetics when we paint it.
Of course, when it dries, it can be sanded,
but it is a job that we can save if we avoid it .
Here as you are seeing
I am adding several floors of slats.
This is something purely aesthetic,
since it makes it look like the table is thicker.
Also in my case I wanted to give it more height
since the legs I was going to use
did not leave the table high enough
what I'm used to.
So adding a few more slats at the ends
would help me gain a few inches in height.
And with this we would have the base of the table ready.
Now let's go to the legs thing.
As you are seeing,
on one side there are metal legs
and in the other a closet with two floors on top.
Let's see how I did it from scratch.
We start with the closet,
which is the part below.
What I'm using to create the walls
they are some tables that originally sell them
to cover floors or walls.
As you can see, they have slots at the sides
to fit perfectly with each other.
hese tables are usually sold
in packs of 10 tables more or less
at a fairly affordable price.
Let's see, it also depends on the type of wood you use.
As with the base of the table,
we made the same process to hold the boards
by placing ribbons on the ends,
gluing them with glue
and securing them with screws.
We keep adding longer slats
in each corner that will serve as legs.
And once again we put together the legs
and all the sides with more tables.
To be a closet itself,
nos queda construir lo más importante:
the door.
Building the door is as simple as placing
several slats of the same length
and join them all with two slats that we will stick
and nail in the inside.
We sanding everything a little before mounting it
because that way it will be easier for us.
And then we only have to put together
the door to the wardrobe with some hinges.
To make the floors,
I'm placing and fixing
a leg in each corner.
Above I place a base
that has been mounted exactly the same way
as the one on the top of the cabinet,
putting together three tables and joining them
with two thin slats that go from one end to the other.
To put together the base to the legs,
I'm marking with pencil the edge of them
just where they should go.
After, I'm carving the squares drawn
to create holes that will fit perfectly with each leg.
For the next floor
I follow exactly the same procedure as the previous one,
only this time I will have to mark the legs
in the lower slats of the base of the table.
And now everything is ready
so we can put the supports to the table.
First I will place the legs on the left,
what are these cool industrial style
metal legs that you are seeing.
They arrive from the United Kingdom
and in collaboration with Hairpin Leg Co,
who were so kind to want to be part of this the video.
I saw images of their products on their website and on Instagram
and I could not resist contacting them.
I recommend you to that take a look at their gallery,
especially to get ideas, inspire and others
Here below in the description I leave the links
of everything I'm naming.
You can see the different legs they make,
with different shapes,
colors and finishes.
It was difficult to choose but in the end I opted for these you see,
which are the steel legs
with a transparent protective layer that prevents rust.
That is very important.

I leave a direct link also in the description
Inside the box,
in addition to the legs were included screws
and some bases so that the legs
are still more subject to the ground.
The truth is that there is not much more to say,
you can see it yourselves.
They are cool, sturdy legs,
with a good finish and super easy to assemble.
You just have to put them in the desired place
and screw, as simple as that.
Put the legs on one side,
all that remains is to fit the structure of the other.
With this the whole table is already assembled.
So let's go to the aesthetic part.
The base was very boring leaving it as it was.
So I drew the lines of what would be
the divisions of imaginary tables
in the central part.
To create depth,
I am carving with gouges following the lines.
With different tools I create crevices
and imperfections typical of worn wood.
To finish, I'll sand everything to make it smooth
and above all not to damage us in the future with some splinter.
And now comes the most rewarding step
and purifying step of all in my opinion,
that is to dye wood.
For this I am using this bottle from here,
which is a dark oak finish tint.
We can reduce it with water to make it less intense,
as we can also give it more layers
once they dry to darken it.
Of course, you should always keep in mind
that if we varnish it later,
the color will be altered
and probably darkened.
So you have to go very carefully.
Once the dye is completely dry
(always read the instructions),
I add the protective layer with wood varnish
in matt finish.
To get a better result,
It is usually advisable to sand
with a fine grain sandpaper between layers.
Once it dries, of course.
I think I gave it a total of 5 layers,
but it is not necessary to give it so many.
I just wanted to make sure it's really tough,
since it will be a piece of furniture that will be in continuous use.
Finally I add the final details,
like the poño.
The "poño" xD...
The knob of the little door of the closet.
Some metallic edges.
And some strings.
To give a better depth and aging effect,
I use the same wood tint
to tednir...
"Tednir" xD...
To dye the interior areas of the strings.
And with this we would have the table finally finished,
so let's put it in its place.
Before fitting it to the wall,
I took advantage to place a led strip.
And also screw some this hooks.
so that the cables are more organized.
To finish and if you have left wood, as is my case,
an addition that can be very useful and practical
is to create a structure
so that the monitors are at a higher level.
It can be done with something so simple
as simple as putting together several slats
and placing a board on top.
This is great for example
to place things underneath without bothering us
or even keep the keyboard inside
at times when we want to use the table
for example drawing,
eating,
or doing any other action
where the keyboard is a nuisance.
And now, yes, we are finished.
This is the final result of all the work,
which by the way lasted about a month
but it can be done in much less time,
especially if we have power tools
to help us streamline the process.
As for example sawing the wood.
That by hand... You do arm exercise.
Too bad that my skinny arms
have not noticed any change
because the truth is that I've done lot of exercise
in this project.
And as you can see right now
the reason for leaving separate tables in the closet,
that just as someone was asking...
Like... "But why haven't you done it completely closed so you can't see what is in the inside?".
Let's see, it has an explanation.
And that's where I put the subwoofer of the speakers in there.
In case someone is in the same situation as me,
because not everyone uses subwoofer,
I have to tell you that it works perfectly.
The sound is not altered
or at least my ear does not detect it.
For me everything sounds very well.
I hope you liked it
and I remind you that you can follow me on my social networks
to be aware of what I'm doing,
especially in Instagram stories
where people could already see the process
and the final result of this work
long before this video :).
Or also on my live shows on Twitch,
where I'm commenting on these little things
when I am already very tired
of the project I'm doing,
I go there and I vent.
And of course
come just to talk to me
about anything that comes up.
And nothing more.
Greetings and see you soon! :D
This shit is over.
Almost an hour.
An hour of "jsdfisdfjasifojer"...
Non-stop.
Because then you do not know what scenes have to...
Is that here I put the suggested videos.
You do not know what scenes you have...
They will be worth later or not,
then I have been an hour without stopping.
And...
And...
It looks like a bullshit but it's exhausting.
So that.
I hope you liked it
and here I leave suggestions, ok?.
In case you want to take a look.
That's it.
