Hello everyone! Alex VapersMD is here and I'm glad to welcome you on my channel

Mechanical mod Nomad, made in Ukraine by Maxology, which is famous because by juice lines Wick&Wire, White Noise and others, which is more popular in Ukraine

I know manufacturer of this mod in person for a very long time. I know Max for several years and previously he make attempts to manufacture a mechanical mod

I don't remember how it was called exactly, but I have it

And that mechanical mod should've been released under aegis of Wick&Wire, but unfortunately something apparently went wrong and mod didn't get into mass-production

It's been a few years and Max didn't give up attempts of making a mechanical mod

And I'll say you straight, though running ahead a bit, he succeeded

So let's learn about everything in details in close up. Let's dive down

Okay, we have a black stylish box in front of us

On the front side it have a slogan of a company and nice views of camping, fir trees, sun and so on

On the side it have a name of mechanical mod - Nomad

On this side there's social media information

And on the rear side is written, that it's made in Ukraine by Maxology, 18650 mechanical mod, year 2018 and For professional use only

Contacts and logo of manufacturer

This box opens like so - simply pull this ribbon and inner part will slide out

And on top there's User Manual with Nomad name on it. Inside of it you'll find several stickers

Plastic card of authenticity with serial number

Infromation in English, Ukrainian and Russian languages

So here we have recommendations about safety, maintenance and also warnings

And on this side we have specs and schematics of this mech

And here we are, we're just got to the most interesting part - the mechanical mod itself

Also in the kit we have extra, more soft, spring for a switch

Okay, now a little bit of the specs. This mod is made of copper and at the moments it's available in pure copper, Black and Olive Cerakote coating

It features ergonomic design, hybrid 510 connection with landing for 24mm atomizers, constant cone-shaped contact with self-cleaning feature,

Spring-loaded brass button and copper contact with auto-adjustment for battery height

Mod has vent holes, fool-proof protection and it's powered by 1*18650 battery

Height of this mod is 88mm, weight with battery inside is 170 grams

And we got to the detailed look and as always we start from the top, where we have hybrid 510 connection, engraving Nomad and serial number

And a cutout to prevent sticking of your atomizers to mod and reduce heat transfer

And below connector there is vent holes

And let this thin stripe don't confuse you, like it confused me at first

It's only for decoration, actually this is a one-piece tube carved from a single piece of metal

And here we don't have any extra threads or connections

Lower there's decorative cutouts. This design isn't new, we've seen it in other mechanical mods

But here it look very stylish and great

And here, at the very bottom of mechanical mod there's a switch, which is unscrewing counter clockwise

And I want to note that threads is just gorgeous. I'm fully satisfied with it - it's buttery smooth and doesn't bite anywhere

And as I said before, this mechanical mod is fully made of copper. Pay attention how thick the thread is - it'll be very comfortable to care for it

If we look inside of mechanical mod we'll see how the fool-proof protection was implemented

Also, inner machining of this mechanical mod is

Perfect

Okay folks, we're done with this part and now it's time to talk about heart of mechanical mod - the switch

Here is the main copper contact. Let me call it positive contact, because usually I insert batteries positive side down

There's two small holes, it's not for venting, it's for switch disassembly

And yes, judging by the scratches, I've taking it apart before

At the bottom we have a button part, which is made of brass with nice views, which you already seen on the box

I think you noticed, that here we have external switch. Yes, it's one of the features of this mechanical mod

But I'll say, that pre-installed spring has pretty tight throw, so even if you put it on some hard surface, the button will not press accidentaly by itself

But let's take a look inside

And here we're gonna need tweezers or some extra tool. And I wish that this extra tool was in the kit

After inserting the tweezers begin to unscrew this whole construction counter clockwise

And after you unscrewed this plastic part be careful - this spring is pretty hard, so it may spring off and all the parts will fly apart across your room, so hold it while you unscrewing it

Well, let's go in order. At the top there's plastic insulator, which is screw down and hold all the mechanic parts of mechanical mod together

Next, copper contact(ie main contact ie spacer) for constant contact with cone-shaped machining

The spring itself

And as I said - in the kit we have one more spring. As you can see, it's smaller and softer

And the brass button part with insulation, which can be taken out of the housing

At the button we have 3 petals, which will be making a connection with main copper contact

So when you press the button - the contact happens

Okay friends, this is fully disassembled mechanical mod Nomad

Let's assemble all of it back, screw down the atomizer and press the button

And yes, while you screwing down the button auto-adjustment for battery height is happening. You will feel a how it stops a bit

And this auto-adjustment is great - battery doesn't rattle nor wobbling inside

So, it's only left to press the button and as you can see it fires. It means, that it's time to get back to face-time and talk about pros and cons of this mechanical mod

It hits hard!

It hits hard, without any doubt

On the top I have Breath RDA

And you know, I broke Americans, because now they don't know how to correctly pronounce a word which is written on the box and for some reason they pronounce it like I did in my review - Breathe

It's simply more comfortable for me to call it Breathe, but Breathe spelled differently, so overall the RDA name is Breath

Call it Breath, call it Breathe - call it whatever you like. But it's not about it today, let's talk about mechanical mod

And as I said in the beginning of my speech - this mechanical mod performs like a champ and I didn't find any major issues in this mech

There are a few suggestions from me personally

Let's say, I personally always install batteries positive side down. So. This mechanical mod has vent holes and it's on top

I always said in every review of mechanical mods, which had vent holes on top that vent holes should be at the bottom

So in case something goes wrong, vent holes will be closer to hand, rather than closer to your face

So I recommend to Max to think a bit and somehow relocate vent holes on the lower part of mechanical mod

Next suggestion to this mechanical mod, to be exact to these cutouts and its edges - make it a bit smoother, round up these corners a bit so it'll be more enjoyable in use

And last suggestion - add extra tool for button disassembly in the kit

Let's move on, friends. And now it's time to talk about pros

First pro to this mechanical mod I'll give for stylish, ergonomic, brutal design

Yes, these cutouts isn't something new. Yes, Max didn't invent these cutouts, these cutouts was used in other foreign made mechanical mods and these mods is very expensive

So anyway - these cutouts suits nicely this mechanical mod. And besides it adds very nice grip in a hand

Next pro to this mechanical mod I'll give for quality of manufacturing, for quality of coating and fit of parts, for machining and buttery smooth threads

It is seen that it done with the soul and with understanding of the subject

Next pro to this mechanical mod I'll give for a throw of a button. It's nice and tight with pre-installed spring

But if you like softer throw - you have an extra softer spring in the kit

There is one certain nuance - when you just purchased this mechanical mod and it'll arrive to you from conveyor - you might feel a little crunching of the button

Over time this crunching will pass, after lapping of all details. It's fine, so be prepared for it

Also, I will give it a pro for constant contact. It's good, your batteries is safe

Friends, even despite that in this mod the thread is involved in electrical circuit it doesn't affect the overall performance even a bit

And I will tell you - yeah, this mod is hit like a truck, so there is no issues with the performance

The only issue is when you showing mods performance and after it your hands is covered with liquid

Also I will give a pro to this mod for compact size. It really turned out to be compact - only 88mm in height

You can hide it in your hand, so only the RDA will be seen. Compact mod is always great

Also I'll give it a pro for safety features. There's vent holes, even though they're on top - I would've relocate them to the bottom, as I said before

And fool-proof protection, of course. It's important

And last pro to this mechanical mod I'll give for presentation. It has very nice packaging - its nice to take in a hands, its nice to open it, it's nice to take out the contents out of it

Very high quality printing. Guys did a good job there, well done

Okay friends, I'm done with pros, though there is one thing under the question

I don't know how Cerakote will behave during usage, especially on these sharp edges

I strongly hope, that Max has took this into consideration and that he understand what he's doing, so I hope that coating will live long

And now let's talk about future plans, which I learned from the manufacturer

What will happen to this mechanical mod? Of course, additional changes in design

Also another bottom button part, which will be flush

Will be available brass version. Right now it's available in copper only

Additional stack feature for series connection of 2*18650 batteries

And most likely the extension of colors, because Cerakote is pretty wide gamma of colors

Okay friends. We're done with all that stuff. Let's talk about price

And the price of pure copper version is 120$. The price of Cerakote version - both Olive and Black is 130$

And it's great price for a mechanical mod like this one - it have top notch quality, it looks nice and it hits hard

So the price of 120-130$ is pretty acceptable

And it's kinda standard for our CIS market

There is a chance, that Aluminum versions may appear, which will cost cheaper, of course. But only time will tell

And at this point I'm done with today's review

Max, you made a decent machine which is capable of showing what is real performance is and besides it looks cool and feels great in the hands

How Pronunciation Makes English Too Difficult For Bangalees

If we compare English in terms of listening skill with Bangla and probably most of the

languages what we can realise is that listening skill in English is much more difficult and

complex than probably all the other languages.

Imagine an English who is practicing Bangla and has already developed somewhat listening

skill, can equally understand some one's speech as a part of dialogue, news presentation,

music/songs, a lecture, a talk about religion, sports, diseases, an expression of satisfaction,

dissatisfaction, failure or success.

It is so mostly because the pronunciation of every word in these different situations

is almost the same and the speed is also relatively the same.

At the same time, there is no form of contraction.

Moreover, the difference between formal and informal Bangla in conversation is almost

the same whether it is a song, news presentation, dialogue in a drama or a quarrel among people.

On the other hand, look at the same situation where the pronunciation, the speed and especially

the informal English vary from situation to situation.

An English learner finds pronunciation easy in news presentation but the structure and

the choice of words make him fail to understand the news.

He will find difficulty in understanding a dialogue in a drama or conversation because

the pronunciation will be very condensed and contracted, and even the speed will be too

fast.

If he watches a film, he will find the pronunciation too tricky and contracted (I'll, I'm,

I can't, I won't, I've, I'd) and the dialogues so fast, and above all.

Now consider English music whether it is rock and roll or hard or soft, the pronunciation

will be too tricky, muttering in pronunciation mixed with music and the use of contraction

and informal language structure mixed with slangs.

No matter how much he is proficient in listening to news, watching dramas or films, he will

be unable to understand most of the English music.

He will also face trouble because of the differences between British, American and Australian English

in pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and structures.

Look at the following part of a dialogue while leaving a partner in American English:

I have got to go.

(without contraction) I've gotta go. (with contraction and in

colloquial form) I gotta go.

(final written form)

What is even more interesting is the pronunciation of 'gotta'.

American people pronounce 't' as 'd' and even sometimes 't' is pronounced as

'r'.

Correct pronunciation is a skill which can only be acquired if practiced constantly,

intensively and extensively.

But how much practical is it to give so much time only for pronunciation when the general

proficiency in English is unacceptably low particularly in Bangladesh.

For example, 'c' is very tricky in terms of pronunciation and spelling.

Sometimes it is pronounced like in Bangla 'ca' (চ), cha (ছ), sa (স), sha (শ)

and ka (ক).

Moreover, Bangla is syllabus-timed but English is stress-timed.

It makes English more difficult and complex.

For example: Saddam (Bangla: Sad-dam, English: Sadam); midday, mid-day.

Now I would like to tell a story.

An English man just after finishing teaching English in Japan was visiting Rajshahi and

happened to meet me.

We became friends and spent eight days together.

Once we were talking about fruits and I asked him whether lichi (pronounced lici/লিচি)is

available in England or not.

He tried to recognize it but failed.

I tried to explain like—it is almost round and a little bigger than a grape; it is green

but gets reddish when it is ripe; you can peel off and have the juicy and tasty kernel

(homophone: colonel) and then you will see a seed either smaller or bigger, the smaller

the tastier.

Still he could not trace it.

As we were walking we came across the depot ('t' is silent like 't' in debut and

Godot) of different fruits including lichis.

He saw lichis and shouted with exclamation, "Hey Chad, you are talking about lichi (laichi/লাইচি)!

Lichis are available in England in abundance and they are absolutely tasty.

Oh, I'm sorry, Chad, I couldn't get you."

Another such story as follows: When I had been working with American Eric Knipper, one

interesting thing happened.

We were going for snacks by a rickshaw (tri-cycle) and he asked what I would do after this short-term

project.

I answered I would go back to my previous job.

Then he said, "Do you know, Chad?

I'll be bakar (বাকার)".

Then I could not get it.

The Londoner kept saying, "Why don't you understand?

This is a Bangla word.

Sometime later I realised it was bekar (jobless/বেকার).
