, założyciel Banku Staropolskiego, został skazany na dwa lata pozbawienia wolności w zawieszeniu

Zapłaci też grzywnę w wysokości 100 tys. zł.  Sąd uznał Piotra B. winnym tego, że w 1998 i 1999 roku doprowadził do wyrządzenia Bankowi Staropolskiemu SA w Poznaniu szkody majątkowej w wysokości, co najmniej 127 mln zł

14 lat na wokandzie  – To była trudna sprawa. Zebrane dowody mieszczą się w 172 tomach akt głównych, a załączniki zajmują dwie szafy

W prokuraturze sprawa toczyła się przez cztery lata, w sądzie – 14 lat. W pierwszym procesie odbyło się ponad 300 rozpraw, a po zmianie składu sędziowskiego – 93 rozprawy

Było to możliwe, bo strony zgodziły się zrezygnować z przesłuchania części świadków

Ich przesłuchanie po kilkunastu latach nie mogło nic wnieść – powiedział sędzia Sławomir Szymański

 Split payment oznacza dodatkowe obowiązki dla płatników. Nie wystarczy już po prostu zatytułować przelewu    Sędzia Sławomir Szymański powiedział w uzasadnieniu wyroku, że mógł wymierzyć znacznie wyższą karę (do 10 lat więzienia, takiej też domagał się dla wszystkich oskarżonych prokurator), ale miał na względzie to, że tak naprawdę od 14, a niektórzy nawet 18, ponoszą oni karę

 - Wynika ona z tego, że to postępowanie cały czas się toczy, cały czas są napiętnowani, ograniczone są ich możliwości zarobkowe - oni naprawdę ponieśli już odpowiedzialność

To są osoby, które nie zasługują na wyższą (niż zasądzona) karę.  Aby uniknąć niedomówień, sędzia doprecyzował, że żadnemu z oskarżonych nie zarzuca się w tej sprawie doprowadzenia banku do upadłości, tylko wyrządzenie szkody

 Wyrok nie jest prawomocny. Prawnicy: asekuracyjny wyrok  Upadłość Banku Staropolskiego została ogłoszona na początku 2000 r

, a więc niespełna miesiąc po tym, jak Komisja Nadzoru Bankowego zawiesiła jego działalność (uzasadnienie: przekroczenie norm koncentracji kredytów)

 Według stanu na 12 stycznia 2000 r., Bank Staropolski miał lukę w bilansie w wysokości 473,76 mln zł

 Wiele wskazuje na to, że do finału sprawy jeszcze daleko.  Jeden z obrońców Piotra B

, mec. Wojciech Wiza porównał złożoność sprawy do trwającego latami wyjaśniania afery FOZZ

 - Nie ma żadnej wątpliwości, że ta sprawa się nie zakończyła - to jest jej pierwszy etap

To, co usłyszeliśmy na pewno będzie skutkowało apelacją zarówno ze strony prokuratury, jak i oskarżonych – skomentował

 Inny występujący w sprawie prawnik, mec. Mariusz Paplaczy dodał, że w jego ocenie sąd chciał znaleźć złoty środek pomiędzy dążeniem prokuratury do wykazania winy

 Dodał, że sąd odwoławczy pewnie pochyli się nad tym, czy w tej sprawie doszło do przedawnienia

Un weekend contrassegnato dall'ondata di calore che ha colpito tutta Italia, in particolar modo i grandi centri abitati e le Isole

La colonnina del mercurio è salita praticamente ovunque sopra i 30 gradi, raggiungendo anche i 40 gradi a Palermo, dove, insieme a Cagliari, si sono registrati i maggiori disagi, con il 118 chiamato più volte in azione

Il capoluogo sardo è tra le 8 città per le quali il ministero della Salute ha segnalato l' allerta arancione, che indica temperature elevate e condizioni meteorologiche che possono avere effetti negativi sulla salute della popolazione, in particolare nelle fasce a rischio

Ma è una giornata da bollino rosso per tutta la Sardegna: la Protezione civile, infatti, proprio per le altre temperature, ha emesso un bollettino per alto rischio di incendi

La temperatura record si registra nella zona di Carbonia con oltre 36 gradi seguita da Sassari con 35 e nel resto della regione non si va sotto i 30

Alla centrale operativa del 118 sono arrivate decine di telefonate per malori dovuti alle alte temperature: soprattutto anziani che accusavano capogiri, calo di pressione e svenimenti

Con una tendenza costante all'aumento delle temperature, visto che nella top ten degli anni più caldi l'unico prima del 2000 è il 1994, che si pone comunque in coda alla classifica

When you can see a man enslaved by fear, enslaved by any evil,

ask yourself how you can enter their world to bring freedom in there.

When you can see a sad man - do not run away from them, you have the power of the spirit from the Holy Spirit

to bring true joy into their sadness, into the depression.

Battlefield V: OPEN BETA Window ANNOUNCED! + Player Feedback Changes - Duration: 4:20.

Battlefield V's Closed Alpha has come and gone - if you missed out, you'll be pleased

to know the Beta for Battlefield V is officially slated for early September.

DICE made the announcement in a blog post, while describing everything they learned from

the Closed Alpha.

There's no concrete date for the Beta, but more details are expected in the near future.

You don't need to worry about getting a code, either.

It will be an Open Beta, but you can get early access by preordering Battlefield V.

In the meantime, developers say they've learned a lot from the data gathered in the

Alpha and will be tweaking some aspects of gameplay based on player feedback.

Specifically, DICE says they plan to adjust both the medic and squad revives to feel less

clunky.

The squad revive time will be reduced 2.5 seconds, and delays in revives are being addressed.

When it comes to ammunition, developers say there was positive feedback on the "war

of attrition" model and having limited ammunition when deploying.

DICE says they will tweak these numbers slightly for some weapons to get an optimal balance,

and will better balance the amount of ammunition picked up from dead players.

In addition, devs will be tweaking squad reinforcements like the V-1 Rocket.

They say it was way too easy to be reinforced with the V-1 Rocket in Conquest, and the frequency

of the call-in will be toned down.

Personally I didn't find the number outrageous, and it escalated the intensity of the match

as it wore on.

DICE also says they are investigating changes to the weapon's blast radius, warning, and

ways to counter the V-1.

Changes to Time to Kill are also on the table.

DICE reports polarizing feedback where some players felt the TTK was very fast, while

others felt it was perfect.

Devs say they will tweak the amount of camera shake that occurs when hit in-game, and will

make further changes if necessary.

As for maps, developers released telemetry of the Narvik map in Conquest, showcasing

the "hot spots" for combat.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of fighting took place on the ore loading dock.

DICE says such data is helpful in making changes to maps to better balance them.

We also got a look at telemetry for Battlefield V's new Grand Operations mode.

This image shows the Airborne mode, the first phase of Grand Operations.

DICE says the data gleaned from this telemetry will be used to adjust flight paths and the

control and characteristics of the parachutes.

Lastly, developers say they had positive feedback on the new recoil system for weapons in Battlefield

V.

In contrast to previous games, bullet spread is now converted to recoil, which means you'll

need to learn every gun's personality.

Bullets go exactly where the gun is aimed.

DICE says in Battlefield V, the gunplay will be tighter, you will have more control, and

it should feel more physical.

The more time you spend with a certain gun, the more you will learn how it behaves.

This rewards player skill, so every time you miss, you shouldn't blame the gun.

Devs are also tweaking the balance of single-fire modes to particular Battlefield V weapons.

We might get a glimpse at some new maps, weapons, and reinforcements sooner than you think - DICE

reports a new build of Battlefield V will be playable at Gamescom in Germany, August

21st to the 25th.

El primer ministro de Haití, Jack Guy Lafontant, presentó el sábado su renuncia al cargo, en medio de críticas por el manejo de su intento fallido de incrementar los precios de los combustibles que generó una ola de violentos disturbios

Lafontant dijo ante la Cámara de Diputados que envió su carta de renuncia al presidente Jovenel Moïse

Los diputados habían convocado al primer ministro para que respondiera cuestionamientos sobre los violentos disturbios registrados entre el 6 y 8 de julio en protesta por el intento del gobierno del aumentar los precios de los hidrocarburos

Durante los tres días de protestas, murieron unas siete personas y decenas de negocios fueron saqueados o destruidos

La sesión en la cámara se desarrollaba mientras en diferentes partes de la capital pequeños grupos de personas se manifestaban en demandas de la dimisión del jefe de gobierno

En prevención de hechos de violencia como los ocurridos el fin de semana anterior, la policía desplegó elementos e incrementó su presencia en los alrededores de la Cámara de Diputados

En las protestas de la semana anterior, cientos de personas bloquearon las calles con barricadas y paralizaron Puerto Príncipe y otras localidades desde la tarde del 6 de julio, luego de que el gobierno anunció -justo cuando la población veía un partido de Brasil, su equipo favorito, en el Mundial de Futbol- que al día siguiente incrementaría entre 38% y 51% los precios de la gasolina, diésel y queroseno como parte de un acuerdo con el Fondo Monetario Internacional para reducir los subsidios a los hidrocarburos

Como respuesta a las protestas, Lafontant suspendió los incrementos al día siguiente, pero los disturbios continuaron y varios locales comerciales fueron destruidos y saqueados y decenas de vehículos fueron quemados, sin que la policía pudiera contener la violencia

Otros sectores, como las organizaciones empresariales, la federación de alcaldes y partidos de oposición, también se han pronunciado a favor de la renuncia o destitución del primer ministro

Un grupo de senadores solicitó la víspera al presidente de esa cámara convocar una sesión de emergencia para interpelar a Lafontant y posiblemente exigir su destitución y la formación de un nuevo gabinete

This week's top stories include tips for avoiding bad overseas

manufacturers, how Latin American ecommerce could be changing the warehouse industry, and the five steps to prototyping your product in China.

First up, working with an overseas manufacturer can be a tricky business.

It involves a lot of back-and-forth communication

about product specifications, quality and cost.

Here are five strategies that can help you avoid the worst of encounters with your manufacturer

One, start by finding five potential manufacturers.

The ideal would be receiving a referral but you can also find plenty of verified options on Alibaba.

Two, ask for an NDA. Asking for an NDA can help weed out suppliers who don't always play by the rules.

Three, pay attention to communication. As you work with these 5 potential suppliers

take note of email response time and English skill level.

These are good indicators of the legitimacy of their company.

Four, make your decision.

When you've narrowed your list to the final few, get serious about pricing and time commitments.

Five, quality control is key.

Don't rely on your manufacturer to ensure quality. Either visit yourself or hire a third party to inspect quality.

These steps are a good place to start.

Your manufacturer might still take advantage of you, but not for lack of screening.

Next up, Latin American ecommerce could bring more warehouses to the region.

The new tariffs on Chinese goods have left many US companies looking to other markets

for potential business.

And Latin America might just be the direction they're looking in.

An e-commerce boom in Brazil,

where ecommerce makes up

5% of their 300 million dollar retail market,

is a good indicator of the direction things are moving for the entire region

Companies like Amazon and DHL recently announced their plans to open warehouses in Latin America

Though there are still some barriers standing in the way of a booming ecommerce industry in the region,

importers should be aware that their goods might be

headed for Brazilian warehouses instead of American ones.

The laws and regulations that tag along with this change will likely take time to adjust to.

But if it means avoiding the 25% tariffs, it might still be worth it.

Finally, the five-step process of prototyping in China. Investors like to see a prototype and without one

you probably won't be getting their money.

Here are five steps that might help you. Step one, design the product.

Be sure to do this yourself

Manufacturers rarely understand the product description well enough to make it happen.

Step two, ensure all parts of the product are feasible

This is where the complexity of your prototype comes into play. Fewer pieces

means faster prototyping. Step three, assemble your prototype.

You'll likely run into your first major problems at this step with functionality or performance issues.

Step four, tooling for production.

Once you have a prototype you're happy with,

be sure to do a first article validation on the first few pieces to make sure you're on the right path.

And finally, step five, test and validation.

This is where you'll find issues before production.

Test the first few pieces for things like compliance and performance.

Ivanka Trump May Be Even MORE Corrupt Than Her Father - Duration: 4:03.

Obviously ever since Donald Trump announced that he was running for president, there's

been a lot of talk about his corruption, and trust me, there's plenty to talk about there.

There's no question that Donald Trump is corrupt as hell.

But recently after I read an article by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington,

CREW, about Ivanka Trump, I got to think that maybe Trump is actually not the most corrupt

member of his family.

I firmly believe that the mantle of most corrupt Trump in the United States belongs to Ivanka,

and it's not just because of what she's done, it's also because of how she's able to wrap

a smile around it, a pretty face and sell it to the American public as if she's out

there somehow fighting for them.

As part of this CREW article, they talked about the fact that Ivanka Trump is winning

new trademarks left and right all over the world and they all always, always happen to

coincide with a decision made by the government that benefits the country granting here the

trademarks either right before they grant them or right after.

For example, all of the Chinese trademarks that Ivanka Trump recently won happen to coincide

with Donald Trump lifting sanctions against Chinese telecom company ZTE, which by our

government's own admission, was spying on people.

They were breaking the law.

But Trump said, "Nah, go ahead and do your thing.

Don't forget my daughter has got those patents waiting for ya."

And they delivered.

They delivered and Trump delivered.

I have no doubt that Trump delivered because Ivanka asked him to because she wanted more

money.

Similar situation happened with Shinzō Abe from Japan.

She met with him.

Mike Pence met with him.

Then suddenly, boom, they approve a bunch of new trademarks for Ivanka Trump.

Here's the thing.

Ivanka Trump has no real role, no defined job at the White House.

In fact, there have been reports saying that most people in the White House have no idea

why she's even there, what she does.

They don't know.

They know that occasionally she travels the world and meets with world leaders and then

she gets trademarks from those people.

This woman is literally using a really nonexistent job to go out there and sell herself and her

company to these other countries in order to win more trademarks in order to gain her

more money.

This woman needs to be investigated today.

In fact, she actually is under investigation at the moment looking into some of the deals

that she has made.

But we need a broader investigation.

There is very clearly some pay to play here happening.

There are conflicts of interests.

There are all kinds of potentially criminal activities taking place at the hands of Ivanka

Trump.

Someone needs to be looking into this diligently.

As good as these watchdog organizations are, they're not the ones who can get into all

of the details and documents and meetings that somebody inside the White House could,

an inspector general for example or a special prosecutor.

We need organizations like CREW out there.

They're the ones who help expose this, but ultimately they're not the ones who can do

as in depth digging.

They can't get search warrants.

They can't get subpoenas so we need someone with that power to come forward because I

guarantee you if we were to look more into her, if we were to find out what she's doing,

who she's meeting with and what she's getting in return, Ivanka Trump would probably spend

at least a decade, maybe more, in federal prison for not only scamming US tax payers,

but scamming the federal government and using this nonexistent position that she has to

make herself a little bit more wealthy.

I'm your host Landon Dowlatsingh and welcome back to another most amazing video.

Before we get started on today's top 10, I want to know, what if your favorite fast

food restaurant?

Mine would have to be McDonald's, I just can't resist their salty fries.

After watching this video, you might want to think twice before you eat another big

mac.

Instead of hitting up a drive-thru, you might find yourself in the produce section of the

grocery store because these next ten facts are sure to gross you out.

We are in this together so let's get started with this list of the top 10 things fast food

employees won't tell you.

Starting off this disgusting list in at number 10 with chili.

Mmm everyone loves to eat a nice warm bowl of chili.

But did you know that the chili is made from old hamburger patties?

What's even worse is that Wendy's chili is made up from the meat on the grill that

expires and dries up and then it's put in a warming drawer until they have enough for

a batch of chili.

Oh and if the chili sitting in the warming doesn't sell fast enough, they add hot water

to it and mix it up.

The 5-second rule comes in at number 9.

Remember when you were growing up and you dropped a piece of food on the floor, but

you thought it was okay to eat it as long as you picked it up within 5 seconds?

Well apparently, the 5-second rule is followed in a bunch of popular food chains too.

Ew, imagine if your big mac got dropped onto the floor at a dirty McDonalds and they still

served it to you.

Not cool.

Employees don't always wash their hands and this brings us to number 8.

There are always signs in fast food restaurant bathrooms that state "all employees must

wash their hands before returning to work."

Well, as it turns out, not all employees wash their hands before they return to flip your

burger and topping it with cheese.

It's actually pretty disgusting when you think about it.

Moving into number 7 we are talking about those lovely grill marks on your burger.

You know what I'm talking about.

It's the sign that your burger was cooked to perfection.

Well, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but those grill marks aren't real.

They were put there by a factory.

So yeah, if you want real grill marks on your patty, your best bet is to make your own at

home, on your nice clean grill.

Up next in at number 6 burgers are literally made in an instant.

The expected turn around time for cooking a burger is about 30 seconds.

30 seconds?!?

It takes me longer to decide what I want to order off the menu.

The largest fast-food chains have cooking burgers down to a science.

Take McDonald's for example, their grill has two sides, so it takes them 38 seconds to

cook a double cheeseburger.

This is slightly concerning to me.

And now in at number 5 is the amount of time a cooked burger sits before being served.

After fast food restaurants cook something, they put it in a holding cabinet and set a

timer.

Seems legit right?

Wrong.

When the timer goes off, they are supposed to throw the food out, why?

Because of E.coli.

Well instead of following proper health and safety regulations, they will simply reheat

the food.

So if you guys want a somewhat fresh meal and not these old burgers, you should go to

a fast food restaurant between 11am-1pm or 6pm-8pm.

You're basically drinking bleach and this comes in at number 4.

Most fast food chains will clean everything with highly concentrated chemicals at the

end of each day.

Which is good to a certain extent because it is killing all of the viruses but it can

also be harmful.

That's because they use these harsh chemicals on the grills and the drink machine nozzles.

So if you're one of the first customers in the morning, you are probably ingesting

some of those harmful chemical residues.

Number 3, your drink might be dirtier than a toilet.

Those ice machines and drink dispensers are actually very difficult to clean, so they

are actually a breeding ground for bacteria and germs.

There was a study done that compared the bacteria content in ice water and toilet water from

fast food restaurants.

And it was discovered that 70% of the time, ice from fast food restaurants was dirtier

than the toilet water.

And in most cases, the ice tested positive for E. coli bacteria which comes from human

waste.

Alright, so I think I will be sticking to bottled drinks from now on.

Sometimes gross things will sneak into your food and this comes in at number 2.

Back in 2013, a teenager made a shocking discovery while he was eating his Kentucky fried chicken.

While he was picking apart his chicken, he found what looked like to be a fried chicken

brain in his bucket of chicken.

Is this real life right now?

He reported it to the food chain who apologized for the incident but the company's corporate

office thinks it was actually a chicken kidney and not a brain.

That's still pretty frigging disgusting.

If that wasn't bad enough, in at number 1 we have employees tampering with your food.

One employee at Jack In The Box decided to add his own special sauce to a police officer's

burger.

His special sauce was him blowing his nose into the burger.

That's actually so disgusting.

Well, he was arrested for aggravated assault, adding a harmful substance to food and disorderly

conduct.

What Happens If You Stop Pooping? - Duration: 3:37.

This episode's going to get real. So... be prepared for that

Let's start here: Nobody likes to be constipated.

Sometimes — because of things like diet or stress —- you don't poop for a little while.

It happens to me whenever Igo on vacation and I'm like

"Why?! I'm supposed to be having a good time! This is not fun!"

Thankfully, it's usually fixable with coffee or and a bunch of fiber... have a couple bran muffins!

But if that little while turns into a long time, and you just stop pooping entirely...

things can get pretty ugly.

Poop is your body's way of getting rid of undigested or undigestible food and other wastes that your body produces.

After the stuff travels through your small and large intestine, it ends up at the rectum,

which stretches and sends a signal to your brain, "it's time to go!"

Sometimes, though, things can stop chugging along as nature intended.

That's where constipation comes in, and it can be caused by anything from holding it in too long to a lack of exercise.

Some diseases can also make your intestines struggle to propel along poop.

Parkinson's or inflammatory bowel diseases, for example, can prevent the muscles and nerves

in the colon from working properly, so it can't pass along feces or gas.

In severe cases, that can cause a megacolon, and that's the actual name for this thing.

It's an abnormally large or swollen colon — which can create a fecal backup.

Regardless of what causes it, though, nothing good happens when your poop gets stuck in your body.

When it hangs out in the colon, more and more water is sucked out of it.

That makes it harder — which, in turn, makes it more difficult for your body to push out.

And when you do try, you have to push harder.

That strain can cause hemorrhoids, which are inflamed veins in your rectum, or anal fissures, which are small tears in the lining of the anus.

All this sounds so fun!

If you don't go for a long, long, long time, your poop gets too hard and dry, it can also cause something called a fecal impaction:

a hardened mass of stool that can't move at all.

Those masses can cause nausea and ulcers, and press on the bladder, causing urinary incontinence.

They can even cause the colon to perforate or rupture which is life-threateningly dangerous and requirings surgery.

And in really, really, really rare cases, things can get... oh goodness.

A severe fecal impaction can actually make intestines contract in reverse.

In an effort to get things moving, they'll contract and relax — which, unfortunately,

can send their contents in the wrong direction.

They're just tying to save your life!

Liquid from the small intestine backs up into the stomach, and causes the unfortunately named condition: fecal vomiting.

It's not quite as nasty as it sounds — like, it's not fully formed stools or anything — but also definitely not pleasant!

Thankfully, fecal impactions can be broken up with laxatives, or can be broken up manually by a doctor.

If someone is chronically constipated, or develop fecal impactions, their intestinal

muscles might also weaken over time, making it more difficult to regulate the pooping process on their own.

So make sure to eat plenty of fiber, don't hold it for too long, and if you're not

pooping regularly, go talk to a doctor, because the alternatives.... NO!

The Rhens Declaration: When Church and State separate - Duration: 5:08.

There's a lot of debate at the moment over how much influence

certain countries should have over other countries.

As I record this video, the United Kingdom is preparing to withdraw from the European Union,

and the US president has been accused of calling for regime change in Germany.

But this isn't a new thing.

All through recorded history, people have been arguing over who really is in charge.

One such dispute occurred 680 years ago,

in what was then the Holy Roman Empire.

The Holy Roman Empire was a confederation of many different territories,

and was much bigger than modern-day Germany.

In fact, in the 14th century, it included not just Austria and Switzerland,

but also northern parts of Italy.

It was called the Holy Roman Empire because it saw itself

as a continuation of the old Roman Empire.

And in those days, the Church had an important role to play in politics.

And this put the Pope in a very powerful position.

And then it gets a bit complicated,

because the situation was so confusing and argued about so many times,

that even today historians are not completely sure

about the exact nature of the relationship

between the Holy Roman Empire and the Catholic Church.

OK: so the Holy Roman Empire was this loose confederation of many different states,

but it had an overall ruler,

an emperor who was in charge of the whole empire.

But how was he chosen?

He was elected, that's how.

But not by the general public:

rather, by the rulers of a small number of the individual states,

and these people were given the special title of Prince-Elector.

In the 14th century, there were seven Electors. And they were:

the Archbishop of Trier, the Archbishop of Mainz,

the Archbishop of Cologne,

the King of Bohemia, the Count Palatine of the Rhine,

the Margrave of Brandenburg and the Duke of Saxe-Wittenberg.

Or the Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg.

But that's another story,

and, quite frankly, this one's complicated enough already.

But the convention was that the new ruler was known as "King of the Romans"

until he was crowned by the Pope.

So in order to become Holy Roman Emperor,

he needed the Pope's approval.

In 1314, they had elected Louis of Wittelsbach,

but the election was a little bit controversial.

And then the Pope refused to crown him Holy Roman Emperor,

saying that the wrong archbishop had crowned him King of the Romans.

In truth, the Pope had his own problems.

He wasn't even in Rome at the time:

a series of disputes had resulted in the Avignon Papacy,

a period of 67 years when the Pope resided not in Rome,

but in the French town of Avignon.

And that is the dumbed-down version of another really complicated story.

So he was trying to assert his authority over the Holy Roman Empire,

but this backfired:

King Louis invaded Rome, declared himself Holy Roman Emperor,

and appointed an Antipope

which basically ensured that the original Pope had to stay in Avignon.

But things didn't go well for King Louis either,

and he was eventually forced to return to Germany.

By this time the whole thing had become this chaotic mess.

Something needed to be done.

On 16th July 1338 all but one of the Electors met in the town of Rhens

and issued the Declaration of Rhens.

And this was a first for the Holy Roman Empire:

Up until then the Electors had only met to elect a new ruler,

but now they had come together to try to solve a constitutional crisis.

They decreed that only they had the right to elect a King of the Romans,

and by a simple majority vote.

Not only that, but they also said

that the King of the Romans was automatically Holy Roman Emperor —

whether the Pope liked it or not.

Not that this solved any problems: of course it didn't.

But it did pave the way for the much more important Golden Bull of 1356,

which regulated the whole electoral procedure for the next four centuries.

Patrick Dempsey and Jillian Fink

While he had made a name for himself in the '80s with movies such as Can't Buy Me Love,

Patrick Dempsey didn't lock down his status as a Hollywood hunk until he starred as Derek

"McDreamy" Shepherd in the ABC drama Grey's Anatomy.

However, he earned himself a major fan in Jillian Fink long before his role as the unnaturally

sexy doctor at Seattle Grace hospital.

In 1994, he booked a haircut at the salon Delux, where Fink worked as a stylist.

Noting that a co-worker would often write down celebrity names in the appointment book

just for fun, Fink told People that she was "shocked" when the real Dempsey walked in,

saying,

"But at the same time, I was happy because he was so cute."

It took another three years for the two to finally get together, but when they did, they

must have realized that they were meant to be.

They wed in 1999 and have since welcomed three children.

Kelly Preston and John Travolta

John Travolta was the man in the '70s, and a whole lot of women, and probably some guys,

had major crushes on him.

How could they not?

He was Danny from Grease!

One of those lovesick women happened to be none other than Travolta's future wife, Kelly

According to Starpulse, Preston fell head over heels for Travolta after seeing a poster

for Grease while leaving a movie theater when she was just a teenager.

Transformers star Josh Duhamel once had a thing for his now-ex-wife Fergie, well before

During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the actor revealed that

he'd been a fan of the singer since her early days as a part of the Black Eyed Peas, saying,

"I had a bit of a crush on her before I ever met her."

The When in Rome star explained that she first caught his eye when fellow actor Enrique Murciano

showed him one of her music videos.

"He goes: 'Check out this girl.

This girl shakes it like she wants a career.'"

Duhamel then told the producers of Las Vegas, the TV show he was on at the time, that they

should book the Black Eyed Peas to perform during an episode, and they did!

When the group showed up to film, Duhamel had his chance to impress his crush, but he

wasn't exactly charming.

"It was a big build-up to the one moment when I finally get to talk to her, and all I could

say was 'You're hot.'"

That apparently did the trick because the two went on to marry and have a son, though

they've since divorced like so many Hollywood couples before them.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose may not be together anymore, though they've been doing a bang-up

job of co-parenting, but they were once madly in love and big fans of one another's work.

Khalifa first expressed his admiration for Rose during an interview that, fortunately

for him, caught the attention of the model, who soon took it upon herself to connect with

the "Black and Yellow" rapper.

In 2012, Rose discussed an interview Khalifa had given with Us Weekly, saying:

"The guy who interviewed him asked, 'If there was one girl in the world who would you be

with?'

He said 'Amber Rose,', and then I hit him on Twitter, and I said, 'That's really cute'

and we fell in love!"

Khalifa and Rose broke up in 2014, but they do have a son, Sebastian, to remind them of

Love them or hate them, there's no denying that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are a powerhouse

celebrity couple, but their relationship wouldn't have blossomed as it did if one of them hadn't

been a super-fan of the other.

We're talking about West, who admired Kardashian for years before they ever got together.

She was even the reason he bought his very first cell phone!

Speaking on Kocktails with Khloe in 2016, West said:

"I got a phone because someone decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries."

That's right: West tried to convince Kardashian to call off her wedding to the NBA pro.

He said:

"I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, this

is your future!"

We know, we know: It's not cool that West was willing to break up an engagement, but

considering how Kardashian and Humphries' short-lived romance turned out, we'll give

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet

There are no doubt thousands of women who'd fawn over Jason Momoa if given the chance

to meet him, he's Game of Thrones' Khal Drogo and Justice League's Aquaman, after all!

But Momoa was the one who was starstruck when he met his future wife, Lisa Bonet.

Momoa, like many of his generation, developed a crush on the actress when she starred on

The Cosby Show.

When asked by James Corden if it was love at first sight for the pair, Momoa dished:

"Listen, it was more than that cause ever since I was like 8 years old and I saw her

on the TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one.'

I'm going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I'm gonna get you."

When Momoa unexpectedly met Bonet at a jazz club years later, he said "fireworks went

off" inside him.

Momoa said he didn't tell Bonet about his obsession with her until after they'd had

two kids together.

West Ham transfer news: Expert reveals exactly why Dortmund sold Andriy Yarmolenko - Duration: 2:27.
