Hello everybody and welcome back to Southeast by Midwest I'm Cassie and
today we are going to be doing the KL Polish Winter Glamourland Collection
yes I know this was last winter but it is still available both as a collection
and single polishes so I wanted to go on ahead and talk to you about it so if you
want to know more about this collection just keep watching
as always here on Southeast by Midwest before we get into talking about the
product we always do disclosure and the disclosure for this video is that I got
these on my own months ago when the collection first came out literally the
day of but I've had so much stuff going on with just school and life and medical
issues that this kind of just got pushed to the back and that's kind of where
I've been for a little while back in February I started having real bad
stomach cramps and March they partnered with nausea so I went to the emergency
room and I was diagnosed with diverticulitis I think I mentioned this
in a video however in May I had another flare-up so I went back to the doctor
and I was put on bed rest liquid diet for like two weeks and it
kind of helped the flare-up go down so that's where I've been so now I'm back
so let's jump into this these polishes are part of the Winter Glamourland
Collection the box set that I showed a second ago is still purchasable for
$49.95 and the polishes are sold at $9.50 individually so if you see a couple you
like it makes more sense while it's available to get the box set then to buy each
individually now this is a price raise from when I first would start
covering KLPolish at this point I have covered literally every collection that
they put out I have the Ethereal Garden which is the next collection and I'm
going to be getting the Havana Heat which is the latest collection so at
this point I've covered them all and this I believe was not the start of the
price ris-- price raise but they did go back and raise the price of it this
collection was supposed to be kind of based more around kind of Hollywood
style things so a lot of the shades are named after or inspired by either stars
like this shade here is Cassiopeia and it's named after the constellation or
the named after TV episodes things from TV shows or actresses the bottles are
twelve milliliters or 0.41 ounces and KL Polish is cruelty free vegan
and twelve free they used to be labeled as five seven nine free but now they
list it as twelve free so I'm gonna go over the polishes and for like in-depth
reviews of them and all that kind of thing make sure to check the blog post
this part is more going to be just telling you about the shades and I'll
have cutaways showing you the shade in the bottle and the nails with the bottle
and the nails by themself and this is actually two swatches and a
top coat on them if you want to see the steps that I -- the products that I
use to prep the nails and the products that I used for like cleaning up the
nails and the top coat those will be over on the blog post as well I've started
including those so let's get into these swatches the first shade is Cassiopeia
and this is a gray-black with multi-dimensional shimmers I really
liked this polish it was a really gorgeous the next shade is Casino Night
it is a shimmery gold glitter polish and these are set up so that the each nail
has like one nail has one coat with no topcoat one has one it's layered over
another polish from the collection one it's two coats with topcoat one is two
coats without topcoat all of that will be labeled on the blog if you want to
head over there Casino Night is named after an episode from The Office. This
next shade is Ace. Ace is a true red, according to KL Polish, this is the
nickname for Rory from Gilmore Girls and in all honesty this is not my favorite
red ever. The next polish is Graham and this is a slate gray, I actually wound
up loving this more then I thought I would, and Graham is named after Jude
Law's character in The Holiday. Next is Mindy and this is a dark berry shade and
this shade is horrible to take off the nails, horrible to clean up, but it's
really gorgeous looking on the nails and it is named after Mindy Kaling. And the
last shade is Central Park. Central Park is a deep-- KL Polish list as a
blackened-green or an alternative to a black.
Central Park is named after Central Perk from Friends. I like this but it was also
hard (to remove). So my final thoughts on the KL Polish Winter Glamourland Collection
is that for a nice fall and winter collection it really is good. These
colors actually could work well for summer as well, like, this red and this
gold are really good summer colors. The gold will look good over any other
summ-- or summer polishes and Graham, the slate gray, is phenomenal.
I am NOT normally a neutral polish fan but I have been loving all of the KL
Polish neutral shades for some reason, I don't know why, like I said though um my
favourite polishes are red polishes but I was not the biggest fan of Ace, I did
not like it. I love OPI Cajun Shrimp and it's my
go-to red and this certainly did not dethrone it. Cassiopeia was a gorgeous
polish and I could really see myself wearing that one a lot. Overall I'll keep
all of these and I'll use them and I found some great ones that are kind of...
I'm gonna start rotating in more but some are just gonna be ones that I go to
when I want that particular color they're not gonna be like new favorites
