In Wet Shaving and welcome back it's good to see you

Issard and this is the 69 this is just a beautiful 6/8" quarter hollow

razor fine shaver as well now before we go any further this is really a special

shave for me yesterday I have a birthday so my children my son and my daughter

got me this and I wanted to show you leave this in that beautiful they just

out get their selves with this I'm telling you I really appreciate them so

much and now I have a marvelous place to store my razors it's just really cool

and you just roll that dude right up like that yeah then it has got some

straps and you're tired yeah excellent excellent

you know I really had no idea that they were going to do this for me I'm so

happy it really really quite nice and now moving on no for our so look at this

we're going the Fat - Mitchell's Wool Fat oh yeah Fat rules baby this is good stuff I

figure for my birthday shave let's go ahead

go with the Fat and of course I've had that blooming so we're gonna pour off that

bloom water and we're gonna put that on as pre-shave

yes we are yeah and that just lathers up nice even just right with the bloom

water hmm really good stuff and this we've got a nice fresh clean set and a

marvelous post-shave face feel oh yeah really is that's nice now for my brush

tonight what we're going to be using is

my Omega 10098 oh yeah old friend yes it is now I can go ahead and

get that brush loaded up alright so we made it to the midweek shave hump day

yeah yeah and this is a special week you know for me my birthday and all so and

it just so nice that my children really surprised me it was so good I really was

very happy about that yeah so I hope you are having a good week yeah I hope

you're in high spirits the world is treating it good yeah yeah hopefully you

shaves are going well yeah and hopefully you're healthy yeah that is so important

it really is now I'm pretty sure I probably I've got more than enough soap

let's just find out I am I managed to make quite the mess with this which I

normally do so it's alright yeah so I don't know if

anybody else out there has got any special days coming up but if you do you

could always go ahead and let us know you know let us know down in the

you know you can go as far as you want to go with this thing mm-hmm

because I didn't know if I was gonna like this or not of course I obviously

like it now what I didn't know in the beginning and you don't know in the

beginning so the best way to do this is get in on a budget and then if you like

it then the sky's the limit you can you can get all the razors all the brushes

you would ever want all soaps and it's just it's amazing how much is really out

there so now this is pass two and we're gonna go against the grain so that'll be

like that here that's going to be against the grain here this is going to

be mixed bag let's do this

all right get that razor cleaned off and

we'll continue on to the other side yep

yeah that's a marvelous little razor I really enjoy this one

there we go nice ok now get that cleaned off gonna switch hands get this side

nice that is good yeah feel good

there you go pass two complete nice go good felt good

yeah go ahead and get that cleaned off see you did oh yeah those cheeks

are right when we meet them yeah that's good

that's so good now here we go let's do the half pass

now this is basically going to be against the grain on my jaw line in my

neck that's it okay those cheeks are brilliant right where they aren't I

don't need to do anything else with that so there's no reason to even go there

now what we're gonna do is some little unorthodox but you may find it helpful

will help you with your shave and you don't even have to do it exactly the way

I do it or any of that make it your own yeah that's what we do cuz everybody's

beard everybody's face everything like that is different so you can't just go

ahead and copy somebody completely because you're a beard is going to grow

different than mine and if it doesn't that is good because then you know you

may be able to incorporate something I do it and it'll help you yeah if you

that's cool that really is and this soap is so slick got trying to get those

the Thayers and this is the Rose Petal yeah very good very good in what a marvelous

scent this has it really does and good for the skin oh yeah yeah buddy

and I just put that everywhere that's the way we roll

yeah and for our Colongey thing tonight we're going to do Clubman Pinaud, Pinaud

Clubman and this is the original yeah yeah

put some of that on Oh nice mmm oh and what a fine scent that has that's marvelous and we're gonna top this

shave off with Nivea post shave balm and this is the Cooling Post Shave Balm yep so

we're gonna get some of that on oh yeah that's going to be good again good for

the skin yes it is

BIG GROCERY HAUL | STAY AT HOME MOM | SHOP WITH ME - Duration: 8:12.

And I am at the grocery store.

Time for a big haul.

We're out of a little bit of everything of course.

You know, got peanut butter and jelly no bread,

got lunch meat no cheese.

Why, why do I let myself do that?

Alright guys grocery shop is done we should be good for quite sometime.

We ended up spending $243.

Not too bad.

The chicken was buy one get two free, the pork tenderloins were buy one get one free.

Um, there were quite a few other interesting savings in there.

Like the grapes were only 77 cents a pound,

they are usually like, I don't know what, $1.99.

It's kind of crazy how expensive that can be.

Yeah, so we had some good savings went a little over

what I usually try to spend on the first big shop.

But that's OK we got what we needed.

We will be fine for quite sometime.

I'm Alex.

Thanks for clicking, and welcome to this lesson on commenting about clothes.

So, today we are going to imagine that we are going clothes shopping, we're going into

the change room, we're trying on some clothes, and I will give you some vocabulary you can

use to talk about how the clothes fit.

And then we are going to look at some common comments you can make about other people's

clothes or about your own clothes.

So, first imagine you're in the change room and your friend is with you, and maybe your

friend is trying some clothes on.

Okay?

And your friend comes out, and they're wearing something that is very, you know, maybe very

sporty, or loose, or baggy.

Don't know what these words mean?

Let me explain them to you.

So, if someone comes out of the change room and you want to comment on it, you could say:

"It's..."

And if you want to modify, you can say: "It's a bit", like a little, or: "It's not _______

enough."

And you see all these words here, all these adjectives, and you can basically put: "It's

not _______ enough", plus any of these adjectives if you think it's not something enough.

Okay?

So first let's just start with all these words and explain them.

So: "It's very" or "It's a bit sporty."

Okay?

Now, "sporty" means athletic.

So, imagine, you know, something you wear for cycling, something tight, something for

the gym, yoga pants, anything like this.

"Oo, you look very sporty." or "It's very sporty."

Or maybe: "It's not sporty enough.

It needs to be more sporty or sportier", if you will.

Next we have "loose", so think of loose.

All right?

Lots of space.

So, if something is: "It's too loose."

Okay?

You can say: "It's loose.

It's a bit loose.

It's too loose", or: "It's not loose enough.

I want it to be more loose, to be looser, to have more space."

And a similar word to "loose" is "baggy".

So, those of you who were children or you grew up in the 90s and you remember MC Hammer

and his MC Hammer pants that were super baggy, they were called parachute pants, but they

were super baggy.

Right?

So, like, you're wearing bags on your pants.

Usually many, like, cargo pants, cargo shorts are very baggy.

Okay?

So also similar to "loose".

Next, the opposite of "loose" is "tight".

"Whoa, it's too tight."

Or: "It's a bit tight, a little tight."

Or: "It's not tight enough.

I want it to be tighter."

Okay?

Next: "stretchy".

So think of the word "stretch".

Stretch, stretch your arms.

Material that is stretchy is usually, you know, used for sports, but you can also have,

like, you know, formal dresses that are stretchy.

Clothes for pregnant women are often stretchy.

You have, like, those mom pants with the extra stuff for the pregnant lady.

Anyway, some of you know what I'm talking about if you have ever seen a pregnant woman

with, like, pregnant pants.

They're very stretchy, you can stretch them, so you can say: "It's a bit stretchy.", "It's

too stretchy.", "It's not stretchy enough."

Some of us like our pants to, you know, have a little more space to be able to stretch

them a little more on either side.

Next: "Wow, it's very flashy."

Think of, like, the flash on your camera.

So, if an outfit, if someone's clothes are flashy this means they get your attention.

They're like an advertisement, a billboard, like a flashy commercial.

Think of, like, their outfit has almost lights on it.

Not literally lights, but it gets your attention, like: "Wow, that's very flashy."

If it has very bright colours, for example, it can be very flashy.

"Plain".

"It's too plain."

Or you can say: "It's a bit plain".

"Plain" means normal, boring.

"Bland" is another word you can use.

Check it in the subtitles, which are in this video.

And this just means, you know, it's normal, it's regular, like a white t-shirt, it's plain;

there's nothing special about it, it's just a normal shirt.

Okay?

And finally, get used to using this word, it's a very good word especially if you can't

say the word: "comfortable", you can say: "comfy".

So, "comfy" is like a diminutive form of "comfortable".

It's more of an informal way to say "comfortable".

You can say: "Ah, it's very comfy.

Yeah.

Yeah.

This feels good."

Right?

Like that shirt.

Personally I think both shirts were too big on Steve, but Steve is going to the gym lately

and he thinks he's getting bigger and bigger.

He's very delusional sometimes.

It's okay.

All right, so you could say if you're trying on pants, if you're trying on a shirt, if

you're trying on a dress, you could say: "It's too tight", or "It's too loose at the back."

I can say: "It's too loose at the back" or: "It's too tight at the back.", "It's too loose

or too tight at the front", like: "This is too loose or too tight at the front."

Or on the sides.

You can also say: "around the sides", so: "It's too tight on the sides."

Okay?

Like my sides.

Or: "It's too loose on the sides."

Okay?

All right, so that's the changing room.

Let's move on to this side of the board where we have some common comments.

So your friend just steps out of the changing room or maybe you're not in the changing room

anymore, maybe, you know, your friend comes to work or comes to school, and they're wearing

a new outfit, some new clothes, a new ensemble, if you will, and you can say: "Wow.

It suits you."

If something suits you, it means it is good for, like, your body type or it's good for

your style.

Like: "Yeah, that matches your personality.

It matches your character."

If something isn't good for that person, like: "It doesn't suit you."

Okay?

So it's not good for, like, your personality, your character.

I don't think of you when I see this outfit.

So maybe your friend is, like, really, I don't know, maybe they're normally, like, very sporty,

and then one day they wear something that's very baggy and loose, and you think: "Well,

no, no, no, it doesn't suit you.

Like, you should be wearing clothes that are, you know, better fit for you."

Okay.

Next: "It brings out your eyes."

or "It really brings out your eyes."

So, this is a common compliment that you can give to a person where if they're wearing

some type of clothing, or maybe a piece of jewellery, like a necklace or some earrings,

something that is a complementary colour to their eyes and you notice their eyes more

because of this, you know, piece of clothing or piece of jewellery, you can say: "Wow,

it really brings out your eyes."

It makes your eyes like the star of the show.

Okay?

So you can say: "It really brings out your eyes."

or "It brings out your eyes", like, I notice your eyes when you're wearing this necklace,

or these earrings, or that shirt.

So, like a blue shirt and if you have blue eyes, maybe, you know, like, the light-blue

shirt will bring out the darker blue or green eyes that you have, or brown eyes, depending

on the colour.

I'm not very good at fashion, so I don't know what colours match.

I just know that black works with everything.

Okay?

Next, similar to: "It suits you", the easiest thing you can say: "Wow.

It looks good on you."

Okay?

So if something suits a person, it looks good on them.

Don't forget the preposition.

Right?

"It looks good on you."

So repeat this one after me: "It looks good on you."

Good.

And the opposite: "It doesn't look good on you."

You can, you know, comment on other people as well: "It doesn't look good on him.", or:

"It looks better on you.", or: "It looks good on her", for example.

Okay.

Next, a change room.

So: "It doesn't fit."

Like, it's not a good size, so if something fits it fits well; the opposite is: "It doesn't fit."

Now, you see I put the word "anymore", so maybe you have some clothes that you used

to wear in high school that now you're, like, 28 or maybe you're 40, and you think: "Yeah,

I'm going to try this t-shirt from high school."

And uh-oh, it doesn't fit anymore.

So, "anymore" means it fit me in the past, but it doesn't fit me now.

The size is not good now.

It used to be a good size, but it's not a good size now.

Okay?

So, we all have clothes like that, I think.

All right, so: "Your clothes"-usually we say, like, your socks, this is the most common

situation-"don't match".

So, again, I'm not good with fashion, so sometimes, you know, I will wear, like, a red shirt with

blue pants and some people think that that doesn't match; it's not a good mix of colours.

Or maybe you're wearing one sock that's black, one sock that's white, I think black and white

matches very well, but normally your socks should be the same colour, but you say: "Your

socks don't match."

Okay?

So they don't mix well, or they're just the wrong socks.

Okay?

So: "Your clothes don't match.", "Your socks don't match.", "Your shoes, you know, don't match."

And very, very nice and easy thing to say: "Nice outfit!"

So you've heard me use the word "outfit" in this video a few times, and you might be screaming

at your phone or screaming at your laptop: "Alex, what is 'outfit'?

The subtitles say: 'outfit', what is 'outfit'?"

Your outfit is...

I also use the word "ensemble", which if you're a French speaker, you'll know what that means.

If you're not a French speaker, don't worry because your outfit is just all the clothes

you're wearing.

So it's the mix of your shirt, your pants, your shoes, maybe your hat.

So your whole, complete, you know, look.

So if someone has a nice jacket, nice pants, everything matches well, you can say: "Wow.

Nice outfit."

Okay?

"You look great today.

You look nice.

That suits you.

That is a good look for you.

It's a nice outfit."

Okay.

And finally: "It really complements your _______."

So, I put a "hmm", a blank because this can be almost anything.

So, imagine...

You know, this "It", this can also be anything.

If I wear a necklace and the necklace is, you know, green, there's a green emerald in

the necklace and my eyes are green, you can say: "It really complements".

If something complements, it means it goes well with something else.

Now, this is "c-o-m-p-l-e-m-e-n-t-s", and don't think of the word "compliment", which

is: "c-o-m-p-l-i", like, to say something nice about a person.

This is "complement", which means it matches, it goes well with something else.

So, my green emerald necklace, it really complements your eyes or it complements your jacket.

Or if I have a tie, say: "Wow, that tie complements your outfit."

It goes well, it matches your outfit.

Okay.

Are you tired of talking about clothes?

No?

Okay, well, let's practice.

Just to finish the video, let's do some quick pronunciation.

So we will do this one fast.

I will just say each adjective one time and each of these phrases one time, and you will

listen, you will repeat.

Hey, if you're on the bus, it's okay; the person next to you won't think you're, you

know, doing something weird.

Just do it.

This is for your benefit.

Okay?

So, repeat after me.

"Sporty", "loose", "baggy", "tight", "stretchy", "flashy", "plain", "comfy".

Okay.

And continuing to here: "It suits you.", "It really brings out your eyes.", "It looks good

on you.", "It doesn't fit.", "Your clothes don't match."

And let's add one more to here just in the moment: "The colours don't match.", "Nice

outfit!", "It really complements your jacket."

North Korea to send back remains of 55 American soldiers killed during Korean War: report - Duration: 0:42.

North Korea has agreed to return to the U.S.,... the remains of 55 American troops who were

killed during the Korean War after the two sides met for working-level talks on Monday.

The Stars and Stripes newspaper reported on Tuesday,... citing a U.S. official,... that

the remains will be flown out of the North, either to Osan Air Base in South Korea or

Hawaii.

And this is likely to happen on July 27th,... the 65th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.

But the official added,.... the date and the number of remains could change,... as North

Korea and the U.S. are expecting another meeting very soon.

And contrary to speculation,... the meeting didn't cover other issues, such as formally

ending the Korean war.

Seoul denounces Japan's education guidelines to teach Dokdo as Takeshima starting 2019 - Duration: 2:22.

Seoul has strongly criticized Japan's latest move to intensify false claims over South

Korea's Dokdo Island.

Starting next year...

Tokyo's education ministry is requiring its high school teachers to teach that Dokdo is

Japan's Takeshima.

Oh Jung-hee has more.

South Korea has sternly protested Japan's recent revision of its teaching manual which

intensifies territorical claims over South Korea's easternmost Dokdo Island.

On Tuesday, Japan's education ministry posted a guide for high school teachers to teach

-- STARTING NEXT YEAR -- that South Korea's Dokdo Island is Japanese territory,... and

is called Takeshima.

That's three years earlier than originally planned.

Seoul called on Tokyo to immediately withdraw the plan.

"The South Korean government deems it very regrettable that the Japanese government revised

its teaching manual for high schools to strengthen unjust claims over South Korea's Dokdo Island...

and strongly demands an immediate withdrawal of the claims."

Seoul pointed out that Japan would be missing an opportunity to move forward by reflecting

on past mistakes,... if Tokyo continues holding on to (quote)"preposterous" claims based on

the (quote)"wrong" perception of history.

"Dokdo Island is clearly South Korea's territory historically, geographically and under international

law.

The South Korean government makes it clear that it won't tolerate any provocations over

Dokdo Island... and will continue to respond resolutely."

The foreign ministry also summoned Kohei Maruyama, a minister at the Japanese Embassy, later

on Tuesday.

In March this year, Japan issued teaching guidelines that said high school textbooks

should describe Dokdo Island as Takeshima starting 2022... but that schedule was moved

forward by three years on Tuesday.

Tuesday's guidelines referred to Dokdo Island as Japan's sovereign territory... and claimed

that South Korea is illegally occupying the islets.

Such a change is not minor because the teaching guidelines are legally binding... and high

school textbooks must reflect what's stipulated in the guidelines.

In the previous revision in 2009,... there was no direct mention of Dokdo Island.

I will probably buy another one of these because I just really like the style of

necklace I think it's like a statement necklace but it's like fun and I can still

wear it to work it's not like it's not like too overstated at least not for me

so I do really like this necklace this is my third one I will probably have the

and these I just think are so classy looking they're very they're understated

these are the ear jacket style of earrings I just really like

Guns of Glory: Update 2.0 - Duration: 3:02.

Hi guys and welcome to another developer update.

Today we'll be talking about the new major update 2.0.

With this update we would like to bring to the game

two main PvP features: the Airship Parts

and a new building called the Sanctuary.

With that said, let's get started!

With this update we've decided to provide

a new set of powerful buffs to your Airship

in order to make it more relevant in battle.

We added new items that can be embedded

in your actual Airship Skills and provide new buffs.

Parts are similar to Runes and can be embedded

in each of your Airship Skill.

They will come in 5 different tiers:

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Rare Gold

and Epic Gold.

For each tier you will find 4 different kinds:

Cannon, Shielding, Bearing,

which will increase respectively Attack,

Defense and Health of your Infantry,

Cavalry and Distance.

And Core, which will increase your troops

Attack, Defense and Health together.

Now that we see how they work,

let's see a more practical use for them.

From your Inventory, you can synthesize fragments

into one Raw Part and then

summon the Part of your choice.

The completed Part will be added

directly to your Armory,

from which you will be able to

enhance the level of it to increase their stats.

You can enhance Parts up to level 6

based on their tier by using Parts Boosters.

Once you have reached the desired level,

from your Airship Skill selection tab

you'll be able to embed them.

One per skill with a maximum of two

similar Parts at the same time.

Simply tap on the Part socket

and choose the one you wish to embed!

Let's move to the next new major feature!

We've received a lot of feedback about

negative feelings regarding wounded and

dead troops after a battle.

Therefore we've added a new building in your Estate,

called the Sanctuary.

If your Hospitals are full, a certain percentage

of slain troops will be sent to the Sanctuary.

They will automatically gather Holy Water,

that will later be used to revive your troops.

The Gathering rate is dictated by your

Hospital Capacity and the number of wounded troops.

Once you have enough Holy Water,

you'll be able to revive troops from the Sanctuary

by tapping on 'Revive'.

Liverpool transfer target Alisson Becker could soon be on his way out of Roma, says Gianluca

Di Marzio.

Alisson is top of Jurgen Klopp's short list of options to replace Loris Karius as Liverpool's

No 1 ahead of next season.

But the Liverpool boss faces competition for the Brazil international's signature from

Premier League rivals Chelsea, who may lose Thibaut Courtois this summer.

Real Madrid are likewise interested in Alisson, with Florentino Perez eager to replace Keylor

Navas at the Bernabeu.

Sky Sports Italia reporter Di Marzio has now revealed that where the goalkeeper's future

lies could soon become clear.

Di Marzio claims Roma are yet to receive an official bid for Alisson this summer.

But that could change with his agent, Ze Maria Neis, set to meet with Stadio Olimpico chiefs

today.

Neis is apparently poised to present an offer for Roma to weigh up when he visits their

Trigoria training ground.

And that could see Liverpool or Chelsea firming up their interest in 25-year-old Alisson.

hey guys I have plans on doing another dry fast this dry fast is gonna be for

safe days yes I said six days by the time you see this video I probably will

be done with the six day dry fast so you can refer to that six day dry pass if I

complete it which I should because I'm trying to use that dry pass to

kick-start after I'm done with the dry pass back on the juice in and then go on

to 30 days just juicing because what people don't understand is when you

start a juice I mean the dry pass you're just so happy to get water in

your system that that's the best time to juice is when you finish a water fat I

keep saying water fast and all these other words a dry pass that means no

water and no food for six days when you do a dry fast like I just said again you

are just so glad to get water in you that if you didn't have a solid meal the

day that you broke your fast on the drive fast and all you have was a fresh

juice you'll be okay with it so I'm going to biggest cross do the six day

drive fast it'll be on my homepage of my channel you'll be able to find my drive

look in the playlists tab of my channel what what I do now is like because I try

to make things accessible for my viewers and my potential subscribers I try to

I'm really excited to stop this because I've been juicing 32 ounces of juice per

day but the thing about that is I haven't been feeling hungry but I still

been eating solid foods and processed snacks in between and I'm getting my

nutrients for the day from the juices because obviously I'm getting the

nutrients because I'm not feeling signs of hungry hunger but I'm still eating

junk on top of good nutrients that I'm putting in my body from the juicing so

it defeats the purpose and my energy level is not it's very low I'm barely

working out which is a horrible thing because I can remember that I used to

get up seven days a week and work out two hours a day now I'm lucky if I even

work out now ah now thinking hopefully before I get your shower tonight because

I like to take at least two showers a day if

hot like in the summer time maybe three TMI too much information but I might

work out an hour I my energy is not that bad

today as I speak about it on this video I think even though it's like almost

4:00 Eastern Standard Time I think that I could Franco or work out for an hour

and then get your shower and then feel like I'm the shit because I did my

workout but I don't know so we'll see so yes be looking out for the next cots

weight loss stuff that I do I'm always doing something that's outside the box

the most isolated sandbar in the freaking world,

because there is nobody else around us.

No tourism, no locals, no villages,

just a whole lotta beach, a whole lotta sand,

and a remote island over there.

Kri Island, which is where we're staying,

couple of homestays, and our boat is just over there,

which you probably can't see.

I can't believe how isolated we are.

I took the drone up before, you saw that.

Took it up very, very high,

and there's absolutely nothing else around us.

Nothing whatsoever.

I'll show you quickly, this is what it looks like

on ground level, but when you're up there, high,

with a drone,

actually, our boat is not even here anymore.

Our boat was over there; it's not there anymore.

So, we actually have no way of getting back at the moment.

Pretty sure though, hopefully, the guy will come and get us

at some point, anyway.

By the way, this sandbar, it completely covers up

in high tide.

Breaking News - Willie Mullins vet was 'traumatised' over his sick daughter - Duration: 4:07.

Vet Tim Brennan had been told his daughter was seriously ill in hospital on the morning he is accused of passing confidential inside information to his brother about the health of 2016 Champion Hurdle favourite Faugheen, a BHA panel was told on Tuesday

Brennan, main vet to Irish champion jumps trainer Willie Mullins, faces a ban of up to 10 years if found guilty by a BHA disciplinary panel of supplying confidential information to his brother Michael who placed lay bets on Faugheen 48 hours before the horse was ruled out of the race

Day two of the hearing at the BHA's offices in London, was told that Tim Brennan had been informed his daughter, who was being treated for cancer but is now in remission, had a series of seizures which required an MRI scan to check whether the cancer had spread to her brain

Edward Fitzgerald QC, representing the vet, asked the panel: 'Can you be satisfied that on the morning he received traumatic information about his daughter, he was conspiring with his brother about placing these bets?' The panel was also told that at the time Tim Brennan and his four brothers and three sisters were also sharing care of their ill mother, who died in April 2016

Michael Brennan placed lay bets on the hot favourite Faugheen to win him 3,342 euros

But Fitzgerald said it was 'overwhelming likely there were other sources of information', available to the meat wholesaler based near Naas

He cited Ted Hegarty, an Irish greyhound bookmaker who was investigated by the BHA but not charged, who placed bets on a similar time line to Michael Brennan

The panel was also told the Irish Turf Club had told the BHA that they were 'confident' that another individual, who cannot be name for legal reasons but who has connections to the Mullins stable, was connected to the suspicious betting activity

The BHA has produced a time line of bets and phone calls between the two Brennan's brothers

Tim Brennan, who said passing on information about Faugheen would have been a breach of the trust Mullins places in him and something he would never consider, was asked by Philip Evans, QC for the BHA, why he had not pressed his brother to provide phone records which could have exonerated him

Evans said: 'You might consider if there were out there phone records which effectively proved his innocence, he would move heaven and earth to get those records

' But Tim Brennan, who lives in Gowran, responded: 'He just told me that he couldn't or wouldn't

I am speculating there is possible information he does not want to be in the public domain

그러나 그 실상을 피부로 실감해 본 이는 그다지 많지 않다.

전쟁을 직접 겪어야 했던 이들의 아픔은 어땠을까.

'참혹'이라는 단어로도 설명이 안 되는, 전쟁의 공포로 온몸이 굳어버린 병사들의 모습이 안타까움을 안긴다.

최근 각종 온라인 커뮤니티와 SNS상에서는 '셸 쇼크(Shell Shock)'라고 불리는 전쟁신경증의 한 형이 소개돼 눈길을 끌었다.

셸쇼크란 전투에 참가한 병사가 급박한 상황 속에서 신체적·정신적으로 견딜 수 없는 한계까지 도달해 버렸을 때,

심한 불안 상태로 전투 능력을 잃은 것을 뜻한다.

셸쇼크가 처음 세상에 알려진 것은 1차 세계대전 시기였다.

처음 병사들이 이상 행동을 보이기 시작하자 의사들은 이 증상이 '포탄 폭발'의 충격으로 인한 것으로 생각했다.

그래서 이름에도 'Shell'이란 단어가 붙었다.

이들은 주로 불면, 신경과민, 떨림, 실신 등의 증세를 보였다.

증상이 심한 병사들은 몸을 제대로 가누지도 못했다.

증상을 처음 접한 의사들은 도대체 병사들이 무슨 병을 앓고 있는 건지 알 수 없었다.

그래서 셸쇼크를 '꾀병'으로 치부해 탈영과 동급의 범죄로 보기도 했고,

초기에 셸쇼크를 앓던 병사들 일부는 재판을 받고 처형을 받는 경우도 있었다.

국가를 위해 전장에 나갔던 병사들은 그렇게 죽음을 맞아야 했다.

온몸으로 공포를 맞았던 병사들의 모습은 백 년이 지난 지금도 안타까움을 자아내고 있다.
