Chissà che ne avrebbero pensato i fratelli Grimm. Forse si aspettavano che un giorno delle loro fiabe si sarebbe impadronito un americano (Walt Disney), e che i loro protagonisti sarebbero passati dalla carta al cartoon fino alla carne (e ossa) di alcuni attori

Ma mai avrebbero sospettato che la loro Cappuccetto Rosso sarebbe diventata un migrante nero, naturalmente maschio e adulto, a spasso, anziché nelle foreste della Germania, nelle lande assolate dell' Africa

Va bene lo scambio culturale, va bene l' universalità delle fiabe e vanno bene anche i riadattamenti locali di un messaggio globale

Però snaturare in modo così evidente il senso della fiaba, e piegare un classico all' ideologia e all' attualità, è qualcosa che fa male alla piccola Cappuccetto Rosso, molto più di quanto non gliene abbia fatto il lupo

NUOVO MESSAGGIO Eppure, sorvolando su queste forzature, la compagnia del Teatro delle Albe, e gli attori legati all' associazione di Mandiaye N' Diaye, il regista senegalese scomparso quattro anni fa, venerdì hanno portato in scena, all' ex ospedale Pini di Milano, una versione politicamente corretta della celebre fiaba, intitolata «Thioro, un cappuccetto rosso senegalese»

In un solo colpo la bimba protagonista ha acquisito un nuovo nome, cambiato sesso e nazionalità, e modificato l' età, visto che viene interpretata da due attori adulti, cioè Adama Gueye e Fallou Diop

Ma a essere rivoluzionato è anche il paesaggio in cui si muove: non più un bosco ma un' africanissima savana; e se al posto del lupo figura una iena tipica del Continente Nero, anche il linguaggio della protagonista è ben lontano da quello originario dei fratelli Grimm

Qui Cappuccetto Rosso, o meglio i Cappuccetti Rossi in scena, parlano in wolof, lingua del Senegal

Il vero cambiamento è però nel messaggio della fiaba perché "Cappuccetto Rosso" divenuta "Cappuccetto Nero" non è più un racconto di formazione sui pericoli di inoltrarsi in territori sconosciuti o una metafora della maturazione sessuale di un' adolescente (il lupo come maschio predatore da cui guardarsi), ma diventa un inno alle migrazioni (i protagonisti devono attraversare tutta la savana per raggiungere la loro realizzazione, simboleggiata dalla casa della nonna) e un invito all' integrazione del diverso attraverso un' opera, come spiega il regista Alessandro Argnani, «capace di raccontare e contrastare l' ignoranza che ci porta ad avere paura dell' altro»

BASTA BIMBE BIONDE La morale della fiaba (trasformata) è che i racconti nord-europei con bimbe dai capelli biondi e la pelle chiara rischiano di essere discriminatori, e quindi vanno riadattati, mescolati con la tradizione africana

Non solo dobbiamo accogliere e accettare i riti, i miti, i costumi delle altrui culture, ma dobbiamo modificare anche i nostri, adeguarli al nuovo venuto, vergognarci della nostra tradizione letteraria e per larghi tratti rinnegarla, in modo da non offendere i migranti

«Google ha usato Android come strumento per consolidare la posizione dominante del proprio motore di ricerca»

È con questa frase che Margrethe Vestager ha giustificato la stangata dell'Antitrust Ue al colosso di Mountain View

La multa da 4,34 miliardi di euro è la più alta mai inflitta dalla Commissione a un'azienda privata

La stessa che, soltanto un anno fa, era stata condannata a pagare 2,4 miliardi al termine di un'altra inchiesta

Google ha subito annunciato ricorso contro la decisione di ieri, ma Bruxelles non si è limitata all'ammenda (che andrà versata in un conto sicuro in attesa del verdetto finale e poi, eventualmente, ridistribuita tra gli Stati Ue): l'Ue ha dato 90 giorni di tempo all'azienda per interrompere le pratiche contestate

In caso contrario, scatterà un'ulteriore sanzione pari al 5% del fatturato globale per ogni giorno di inadempienza

L'accusa è chiara: abuso di posizione dominante. E colpisce Google proprio su quello che è il suo principale punto di forza (e di guadagno): il motore di ricerca

Nel caso specifico, le violazioni rilevate dall'inchiesta possono essere raggruppate in tre tipi di restrizioni che Big G ha messo in campo attraverso Android per aumentare ulteriormente la sua già consistente presenza sul mercato (secondo le cifre diffuse dalla Commissione, l'80% dei dispositivi mobili diffusi nell'Ue usa Android)

Prima di tutto, ha ricordato Vestager, Google ha imposto ai produttori di smartphone e tablet di preinstallare le sue applicazioni come Google Search e Chrome, condizione indispensabile per poter concedere la licenza di Play Store, il «negozio» di app della casa madre

Inoltre avrebbe pagato alcuni produttori di dispositivi e operatori di reti mobili per installare in esclusiva la sua app di ricerca, in modo da mettere completamente fuori gioco i concorrenti

Infine avrebbe impedito ai produttori di vendere dispositivi funzionanti con versioni alterate di Android, non appartenenti a Google

L'azienda respinge al mittente tutte le critiche. Il ceo, Sundar Pichai, dice che «i telefoni Android sono in concorrenza con quelli che hanno il sistema iOS» e che dunque non c'è monopolio

Ricorda poi che le applicazioni preinstallate «possono essere disabilitate o rimosse per sceglierne altre», visto che «un tipico utente Android installa mediamente circa 50 app»

A sostegno della sua tesi, però, la Commissione parte da un dato di fatto frutto di un'indagine: sui dispositivi Android il 95% delle ricerche viene effettuato con il motore di ricerca di Google (preinstallato), mentre su quelli di Windows Mobile la percentuale scende al 25%

Questo per dimostrare che, in genere, la stragrande maggioranza degli utenti utilizza le app che già trova e non ne cerca altre

Ma Pichai insiste e ribadisce che «la distribuzione gratuita di Android è un vantaggio per gli sviluppatori e per i consumatori»

E che dunque «una decisione come questa può rappresentare un segnale allarmante a svantaggio delle piattaforme aperte»

E anticipa che Google in futuro potrebbe far pagare i costruttori di smartphone per avere Android

Quella chiusa ieri è solo una delle tre grandi indagini Ue contro Google. La multa di un anno fa riguardava il servizio offerto dal motore di ricerca per gli acquisti comparativi (Google Shopping)

Ce n'è poi una terza, che è attualmente in corso, e riguarda il servizio per la raccolta pubblicitaria (AdSense)

Vestager ha smentito che «l'accanimento» verso il colosso americano sia frutto o comunque sia influenzato dalla fase di tensione che l'Europa sta attraversando con gli Stati Uniti: «Dobbiamo proteggere consumatori e concorrenza - ha replicato la commissaria danese -

Matt Holyoak, who has photographed the Queen and Prince Philip in the past, made sure all the subjects and the set were perfectly matching by changing the colour tones of the Morning room at Clarence House for the beautiful portraits

While the two portraits of the royal family taken for the little Prince's christening give the impression that the surrounding décor, including a table with a pair of mounted vases and the edges of the sofa, were bronze – photos of the room and its furnishings taken for the Royal Collection Trust have revealed that the table instead is gilt bronze – meaning that it has a yellow gold shine that doesn't exist in the christening snaps

Why the odds are stacked heavily against the Sharks in New Zealand.

The Sharks are the only South African team to have won a Super Rugby fixture in Christchurch in the past five years but no domestic side has won the tournament's play-offs in New Zealand.

That's the challenge that lies in front of the Sharks ahead of their Super Rugby quarterfinal against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday.

The Sharks have defeated three out of the four New Zealand teams they have faced this season‚ but they didn't play against the table-topping Crusaders.

While this is a knock-out game‚ it will also serve as an accurate assessment of how decent or undercooked the Sharks have been this season.

Consistency hasn't been a pillar the Sharks have built their season on this year but their captain Ruan Botha reckons they have an opportunity to create some history even though they'll have to pull off something South African teams have never done in the 22-year existence of Super Rugby.

"History is history.

You write your own path.

"There's no team that's going to go out there and arrive on history and go out there to lose.

We're in it to win as we want to finish our campaign on a high‚" Botha said.

"Travel isn't always easy but we have to adapt to it as quickly as possible.

We've got good staff that take good care of us.

It's a case of us going out there and doing the basics well." The Crusaders have kept their rugby pretty simple this season while scoring a truckload of tries.

The Sharks have defended reasonably well in this campaign but they will be subjected to an examination like no other.

What the Sharks have also done well this season is to out-muscle the New Zealand teams‚ but the Crusaders and their All Black laden-pack is a different kettle of fish.

They're also a multi-skilled side whose backs can tear errant defences apart.

Botha is aware of the Crusaders' all-round strengths but felt their pack hasn't been tested this season.

"The one thing they've done well this season is to keep the ball and they also have their small mini-plays with ball in hand.

"We need to put them under pressure and our defence is capable of doing that‚" Botha said.

"They have a world class front row and world-class locks so it's going to be a difficult set-piece battle.

"They haven't been tested by a pack from my perspective so it's going to be a difficult challenge.".

Hey guys, Bea here! And this is Sophie from minimalist ways. Today we are going

to solve a very big problem for all book readers all around the world. So you've

read a super cool book but in a couple of months you don't remember what it was

about anymore.. Luckily psychology has a couple of

tricks on how to remember what you read! So let's check it out!

Has it ever happened to you? You spend hours and hours reading books that in a

couple of months become a distant memory. Does it mean these books weren't

interesting? No. Does it mean that you weren't interested in them? Also no.. It's

actually all about your memory. That's why today we're exploring ultimate book

reading tips using psychology insight. Reading a book means you are taking in

information which hopefully if the book is good you would like to remember.

We can divide memory into two different types and each one serves its unique

purpose. Short-term memory makes information

available for us for a couple of seconds or minutes. Short-term memory is

important when we are reading a book because we need to temporarily work with

the information we are looking at. From here on there are two options you either

forget the information (which happens most of the time) or the information is

transferred into your long-term memory. The memories can be stored in our

long-term memory for several months or even years. We are more likely to

remember things that have an emotional meaning to us, that are often repeated

and have engaged several of our senses. And now let's take a look at how this

can help us in book reading. Tip number one understand what you're reading.

If you don't understand what you're reading you're not going to remember it for sure.

That's where the main idea identification has proved to be a useful

trick. When we are reading a text identifying the main idea behind it is

one of the first steps towards understanding the content. Work with your

mind in asking yourself what am i reading about and try to answer that

question in one simple sentence. Depending on the text you might have to

dig a little deeper to find the main idea tip number two summarize what you

just read to yourself. Summarizing the content requires you to actively work

with the information you are presented with. Taking just a couple of moments

after reading a chapter or a book to think about what you just read and

creating a short summary of it in your head will make it more likely that the

information will stick. There's a book hack I wish I knew one

year ago! Tip number three come back to the information after some time.

We already talked about how we remember things, remember? We are more likely to

remember things that are emotional and/or are repeated. And of course no one

expects you to reread all the books you want read but sometimes just opening the

book and going through a couple of pages can spike your memory. Another great way

of recalling the content of a book is reading or watching book summaries.

YouTube channels such as minimalist ways do a great job of summarizing a whole

book in just a couple of minutes. Quick and effective! It's also a great way to

get inspired about what to read next! And if you're willing to put in a bit more

effort creating a reading journal could be the thing for you.

Write in the title of the book with a short summary and the date when you read

the book. This information in combination with other tips we just talked about are

bound to bring the memories back in no time.

Mixed Media Hardboard book separator with Daily Art products - Duration: 6:36.

Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room and welcome to my channel

In this video I'm going make a mixed media hardboard book separator with Daily Art products

you can find the products I used in the description box

If you are new here don't forget to click the subscribe button

I start with applying sand paste with a stencil

Then add some more paste in the middle where I want to add the rounded square chain

And I add the chain with some gloss gel which also works as a glue

For this project I'm using quite a lot of Daily Art products

that were generously given to me

to try them out and I love them and you will

absolutely see more of these products

now I apply crackle paste when you apply a thick layer you get big crackles

and a thin layer will give you fine crackles

and then I let it dry

After drying I gave it a coat of gesso to get a nice base for the sprays I want to use

And now I'm adding some micro beads with gesso and a brush

I'm adding some more crackle paste and let it dry again

Now I'm going to use teal and yellow sprays

I just add some colour and mix the colours a bit until I like the result

I have an old towel on my desk to catch the spray mist that lands around the piece

Though the sprays come of quite easy, I got some on my hands

you don't want them all over your desk

After drying I added some more teal to get some more colour difference in the corner

I let it dry not completely as you can see and now I'm adding some gesso with a dry

brush technique to lift the colours a bit

and to make the texture more visible

And I add a metal embellishment with the gel medium as a finishing touch
