'What do I do?'

Oh!

Your head got wet, kitty.

Your hair got ruined.

(Laughing)

I just put a cup under the tap...

Did that make you funny? Look at your head...

(Laughing)

(Laughing)

Come out if you finished washing hairs.

Let's stop it.

Review PZEM-004T with Arduino ESP32 ESP8266 Python & Raspberry Pi : PDAControl - Duration: 19:22.

Welcome ...

In this opportunity we made the revision PZEM-004T electric consumption meter of Peacefair

It is a non-invasive meter performs current measurement with a current transformer, facilitating the assembly

We will perform a complete test, using 5 recognized OpenSource hardware platforms

I bought my meter at the Banggood.com store this is a good price.

has serial communication with ttl output, works and measures voltages between 80 - 260VAC and currents 0 - 100A

Your applications, basic measurement projects, I do not know the regulations of the equipment certificates

but for my applications and needs it is perfect to make measurements and integrate with other IoT platforms

My meter arrived by DHL, from 7 to 8 days

Meter + Current transformer

Let's look more closely

Let's compare a bit with the version that has visualization

The size, perfect for small spaces, or small enclosures

it's a smaller version, but both work the same

we must modify it to operate at 3.3V

UART MODIFICATION 5V TO 3.3V

Serial communication uses 2 Optocouplers to isolate the port

these optocouplers work at 5v and with a resistance of 1k welded at 2 points will work at 3.3v

WELD RESISTANCE OF 1K

let's solder the resistance from 1K to 1/4 W

attentive ...

we weld here

we move a little

and we weld here

HOW TO CONNECT THE METER?

for our tests we have set up a circuit to facilitate the measurement

the Current Transformer "CT" in a "Phase" of the cable extension

Box of 2 electrical sockets, is easily obtained in the hardware stores

Connect meter power with plug with cable

Connection 110-220VAC

Caution, be careful with loose copper wires, a short circuit will melt the terminal.

Connection "CT" Current Transformer

the cable has been extended approximately 1 meter

Meter ready for tests

Connection diagram used by PDAControl, complete documentation visit our websites

1 # PROBE ESP8266 NODEMCU

materials

the transistor 2N2907 connects the gpio15 (D8) (tx) of the ESP8266 to the Rx of the meter PZEM-004T

The transistor allows to start the esp8266 after restarting or programming, without it will be blocked our module

To visualize and debug the port UART1 pin gpio02 (tx) and the FTDI Converter are used

PZEM-004T library for Arduino IDE

In last updates it allows to communicate the ESP32 with the PZEM-004T

in this case the HardwareSerial library is used

the UART0 or main serial port is busy communicating with the meter.

but physically it is connected to the pins gpio13 (D7) (rx), gpio15 (D8) (tx)

measurement display serial output with FTDI converter

We connect our AC load, my 25W tin soldering iron

2 # PROOF ARDUINO NANO

materials

I take the opportunity to teach the pcb of tests that I have designed

Technically it is an arduino Nano + ESP8266 OR ESP-01 "Ard-NANO-OTA"

I designed it in KiCad and I sent it to make 10 with the company PCBWAY

let's connect and test

We use the SoftwareSerial library, pins 10 and 11 for communication

This PCB is a measurement prototype for DC Voltages, another application that was pending

KiCad is a great design tool for pcb, free of licenses, there are updates and a great community

This prototype is to allow me to program an Arduino Nano wirelessly "OTA" using 2 ESP8266 transparently

in next tutorials I will share the whole design process in KiCAD and Complete Manufacturing with PCBWAY

measurement display serial output

We connect our AC load, my 25W tin soldering iron

3 # TRIAL ESP32

materials

I recommend using 2 Breadboard / protoboards to facilitate the assembly of the ESP32

We will use serial port 2 of ESP32

There is a wide variety of manufacturers of ESP32 modules

I recommend this very detailed tutorial of pin functions for esp32

in my case I use the ESP32 version DEVKIT V1 Doit, one of the most popular, in my opinion

measurement display serial output

we connect our meter

We connect our AC load, my 25W tin soldering iron

4 #TEST ARDUINO UNO + SHIELD ETHERNET W5100

materials

The Arduino UNO is the most popular Arduino board and I wanted one for testing

and also with the Wiznet W5100 Ethernet Shield

In this case we will use SoftwareSerial for pins 8 and 9, since pins 10 and 11 are occupied by the SPI of the Ethernet Shield

measurement display serial output

We connect our AC load, my 25W tin soldering iron

5 # TRY Python WITH Raspberry Pi

materials

Raspberry Pi 3 B or Raspberry Pi B + or the one with ..

it could also be a "" beaglebone black "" or "orange Pi", "Banana Pi", any micro-computer that supports Python

Well in this I will not use the own serial port of Raspberry Pi located in its Gpio's

I will use the FTDI Converter to communicate with the PZEM-00T Meter, it is an isolation and it is safer

Previously the Raspberry Pi must have Raspbian Mounted and ssh installed, we connect the raspberry Pi to our Router / Switch

The code or routine was created in the python language, excellent to start programming these applications

Our routine will be called "PZEM-004-python.py"

This routine I found in the Raspberry py Forum, was created by Massi, thank you very much for sharing your code

It is a very well structured routine, technically it is the protocol of the PZEM, it uses Pyserial, Serial library for Python

First step connect to our Raspberry Pi used ssh client, in the case of MacOS and Windows use Putty

you must first have the Raspberry Pi address, I recommend using Fing App to scan your networks, more information, previous tutorials

when connecting by "ssh" the pi user will request the password, it is "raspberry"

already connected to the raspberry pi, we update a little

ready

we will create the folder "python-utilities"

"ls" command in linux shows files in folder, in this case empty

"cd python-utilities" command to enter the "python-utilities" folder

we are going to copy the python code to the folder of the current user of the computer, in linux in my case "/ home / lubuntudsk"

we are going to copy the python file from "/ home / lubuntudsk" in lubuntu to the Raspberr Pi in the folder "python-utilities"

we will use the protocol "scp" is a method of transferring files using SSH

do not use file names with spaces,

raspberry pi password: raspberry

"PZEM-004-python.py" file copied Correctly from computer to Raspberry Pi in "python-utilities" folder

ready our file "PZEM-004-python.py"

let's edit the file

Let's list the serial ports available in our raspberry pi

/ dev / ttyAMA0 is the own port of the Raspberry Pi, but the one that we will use is the / dev / ttyUSB0 of the FTDI converter

Run routine python command "python PZEM-004-python.py"

Error importing pySerial library, install with command "sudo apt-get install python-serial"

run again "python PZEM-004-python.py"

"Timeout" connect the meter, and retry.

Ready, Reading meter PZEM-004T with Raspberry Pi

We connect our AC load, my 25W tin soldering iron

Well in this last test we do more complex things

since it is a Linux operating system, SSH protocols, scp, file movement

I recommend using an 8GB microSD and mounting only RASPBIAN STRETCH LITE, this version has no graphical interface and is just commands, it is the best.

Thanks to the Banggood.com store, all the devices and materials that we use are available

Well we tried 5 different platforms, I recommend to see the documentation located in the video description

Finally, a lot of caution when handling these electrical equipment, involves electrical risk, have knowledge or that a trained person manipulates it

I recommend my websites pdacontrolen.com and pdacontroles.com

I invite you to my Youtube channel PDAControl, you will find interesting evidence, greetings

A la Sombra del Sol y los Signos de Nuestra Catástrofe (2005) - Español - English Subtitles - Duration: 19:56.

Opening today "In the Shadow of the Sun"

The best Chilean film in the last few years! "In the Shadow of the Sun"

Remarkable impact by national filmmakers! "In the Shadow of the Sun"

"In the Shadow of the Sun" Desert, fugitives from the law, crime and punishment: A classic format for a Chilean document.

Mysterious, Violent, True "In the shadow of the sun"

"In The Shadow Of The Sun" And Signs Of Our Catastrophe.

In the summer of 1972, I was 14 years old

and, like many other young sympathizers of Salvador Allende's government,

I had joined a voluntary workforce set up by local students unions.

For my part, this was the right way to express my commitment

to the socialist agenda of the Popular Unity coalition.

I remember one night, just outside our camp,

a documentary was shown about the activities of the Ramona Parra Brigade,

and although not a communist, I felt that the images faithfully described

the type of commitment called for by the political times.

Years later, after the traumatic military coup of 1973,

I saw "In the Shadow of the Sun", a film by Silvio Caiozzi and Pablo Perelman,

which once again reminded me of experiences during my stay at the volunteers' camp.

Don Esteban for God's sake!

Today as an analyst,

I believe that the connections between what was seen and thought

were no more than the expression of the same doxa,

that field of suppositions which participants of an historical event

consider as given and that admits no debate.

The Doxa of Discourse

This is a popular, democratic, national and revolutionary government,

that must fulfill a programme

to quickly open a wide road to socialism, and the transformation of our society.

Which is to say, through the participation

the workers will be able to break

the capitalist structure of corporations.

Yes, union leader from the Vicuña Mackenna industrial belt

What are you doing here in the farmstead occupation?

We think it's necessary to unite the working class with our peasant comrades,

to strike together against the owners

in the sense, let's say, that the problems we have are joint problems

and that we have to identify a solution from a class perspective.

Community committees are clearly a people's organization in struggle,

this is a people's organization where all the proletariat class should be taking part.

We the workers are in our combat post

which is our source of work, building the necessary elements

to defend ourselves until the last man and woman from any fascist counterattack...

The field for these intellectual axioms

was divided into categories such as people, participation, organization and work,

truths of daily existence that lead towards socialism.

However, the aforementioned doxa has a pictorial and discursive character,

and it was only via the technical knowledge characteristic of the cinema

that another visual representation could be attained.

The Doxa of Discourse in the Cinema

This is a popular, democratic, national and revolutionary government,

that must fulfill a programme

to quickly open a wide road to socialism,

and the transformation of our society.

We think it's necessary to unite the working class with our peasant comrades,

to strike together against the owners

in the sense, let's say, that the problems we have are joint problems

which is our source of work, building the necessary elements

to defend ourselves until the last man and woman from any fascist counterattack...

Every film is a visual artifact,

the result of work that is exercised by forms of perception

pertinent to each historical and social period.

"In the Shadow of the Sun", the film I have chosen for this analysis,

expresses, at an image level, a content which extensively refers

to the imagery of Chilean social cinema.

Caiozzi and Perelman's film deals with an bloody deed

that apparently took place at the end of the forties.

Two criminals escape from the prison in Calama

and head off into the Atacama desert towards Bolivia.

Their journey leads them to the mountain village of Caspana,

where the inhabitants offer them warm hospitality.

They then continue their journey, but rape two shepherd girls.

They are then chased and captured by the villagers,

who subject them to a public trial, where they are condemned to be shot.

In this film, all the characters appear to be visually sketched

with the straightforwardness of the working class,

icons of a former political period, in whom hope had been placed for social change.

Beyond the relative nuances of the image structure,

are the story and its arguments themselves, which, with a minimum of discretion,

develop the idea of people's justice,

a central theme in the discourse and political organization during the Allende government.

Justice is not an individual act

They're saying over there that the mayor is the only one who can sort these things out.

No, mister! This is something that all of us must see to.

Hey don Felix, why didn't the mother of the girls come?

Because the mayor didn't want the girls' mother to come,

- And that is something he can decide. - Shut up Gregorio

- I was just saying. - Silence.

Doña Mercedes didn't come because she's looking after her daughters

When he only just sent Arcadio over to guard those outsiders,

those animals, when I should have done it

- Shut up Gregorio - I'm not shutting up...

because if I did no one says anything.

Would you like me to go to the coral and release those filthy pigs?

Sure, and then I'd be in the shit up to my neck.

Get out Gregorio, you're talking rot, and you're drunk. Get out of here!

Justice is not an individual act, JUSTICE IS A SOCIAL ACT

I wanted to kill those men.

I was so angry when I heard they'd abused my sister;

I thought I was alone...

and that's why I though no one would help me,

that's why I was angry with the major

and with Arcadio.

But now, since Arcadio has gone down to Calama to make a statement to the police,

...we are all alone.

Gregorio, open the door.

Whoever wants to can go.

Those of us who stay have to decide.

When the authorities arrive from Calama, those men shouldn't be here.

They have brought evil to Caspana, that's how I see it.

There is also a law here.

We are the law.

We are the law.

Women, men, our homes;

everything that lies in the valley is our law

When the sun rises, we shall have decided what to do.

What is important...

is that no one else should know that these men were here or what they did.

Social justice is people power

For those who think...

that I am sometimes unsteady,

we have to strengthen...

the power of the people,

the mothers' centers, neighborhood organizations,

the supply and pricing boards,

community committees have to be strengthened,

the industrial belts have to be strengthened.

To create people's power!

To take care, to create people's power!

Throughout the length and breadth of the country

one single cry can be heard, in the factories, farms, settlements and schools,

in the people's barracks, the call to create,

to create strength and increase popular power,

the power of the people's committees,

the power of...

Create a people's militia!

Don Felix, tell him they're not going to kill us.

You will have problems if you kill us!

Get us out of here!

These fucking Indians are just murderers!

For God's sake that's unjust!

Socialist imagery of the left, perhaps the most orthodox type,

is clearly present here, for in this utopian social perspective,

the individual as such does not exist, except as an expression of their society.

Get us out of here!

Every film script should respect a certain rationality,

for this is where a story's credibility lies.

This is why it is understandable that the film breaches its own fictitiousness,

integrating within and not outside of the story,

the testimonies of those witnesses who can vouch for what has occurred

as a genuine incident.

Forty-five years ago,

when still a young boy,

I wasn't directly involved...

in this case but it happened...

and my family was involved.

A decision which necessarily requires a double reading,

as cinema is an art which in practice can not ignore the metaphor.

A poetic expression that, during the period of socialist inspiration in Chile,

had to be based on reality.

This was a utopia the reverse of which was an ideology,

for the inclusion of witness accounts,

not only proved the truth of what had happened,

but also served as an unconscious corroboration of the film

and the content molded by its authors.

Rather than a mistake, this was an act of cultural naïveté

that prevailed during the Popular Unity period,

making us blind to the oncoming catastrophe.

Years passed...

two or three, I can't remember,

and the police were forced...

to investigate what had happened in that case.

They looked for the mayor and judge

and took them away to be judged.

I don't know how they knew what had happened...

that they came to find them.

So that's how my family was arrested.

...and they remained detained for at least a year.

Although afterwards the punishment was suspended.

They realized that it hadn't been done as...

a show of bravado but as an act of defense,

and because of that they were released.

You've partly answered this question but I'd like to put it on record.

What called our attention to the film was the presence of those witnesses.

How did they help you? What was your intention by including them?

I believe that a story based on real events

has a different weight to one based on absolute fiction.

I think that the presence of the witnesses

was a clear way of stating that this was based on true events,

lending the film a certain credibility.

It definitely had a political significance;

just think about the time that it was made, shortly after the Popular Unity,

and we'd all been supporters of the P.U.,

or rather, we had a close, relationship with...

what you could call people's justice...

an emotionally strong relationship.

And we felt it had something to do with that.

Even though we tried to make the film as distant as possible as regards political issues,

for obvious reasons... we had to put something into it.

The issue of people's justice in the film is clear,

is that linked to what you said earlier

about in some way try to create a minor resistance?

I must confess that I've always felt a certain ambiguity.

At the time we made it...

it wasn't clear that it was something on the left or on the right.

Now, after all this time, I increasingly realize that it was clearly that;

we were talking of the ability of people...

to take their destiny into their own hands, which is totally left-wing.

In the case of 'In the Shadow of the Sun' this is an issue of justice in which

an injustice is caused by these men as they pass through the village

and are tremendously abusive and in the end

the villagers deliver their own justice,

people's justice as you say, a justice according to hundreds of years of tradition...

that compels them to perform that type of justice.

Or rather, to execute these outlaws,

and they hadn't even killed anyone,

just for the simple fact of abusing a village that had sheltered them.

That was their justice;

our judicial system would have sent such types to prison for a couple of days and no more.

For them, however, the damage was very deep,

and the laws of their culture dictated the outcome.

People's justice was a strong issue at that time,

and we were certainly motivated to choose that issue

because it was an issue in the minds of everybody.

So you are attracted by what is in the mind of everybody and also in yours;

the issue of people's justice: How many justice systems should exist?

How many different systems are there?

You start to doubt this game of saying that there's only one system.

To what degree is there only one system when there are so many different cultures?

Now, think how unconscious and naive we were.

The truth is that if we had been just a little aware

of what was happening in the country at that time

we would never have made the film, because we were putting our very lives at risk.

As simple as that.

The game is both a spin-off and a prequel of sorts to Super Mario 3D World, where the

gameplay concept originated.

And like Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad was well received upon release.

Joystiq scored the game 4 out of 5 stars stating, "Treasure Tracker may be small in stature,

but it's packed with depth and detail."

Jim Sterling gave the game an 8 out of 10, noting, "A game like Captain Toad: Treasure

Tracker is a much needed injection of genuine joy in a perpetually gloomy industry, and

its unassuming arrival is a most welcome one."

Finally, Polygon scored the game an 8.5 out of 10 proclaiming, "Nintendo's exercise

in digging has found something pretty special — an action puzzle game that succeeds on

charm and smarts, rather than reflexes and spectacle."

So, is Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a title worthy of a re-release on a successful platform,

or should this one have stayed on the Wii U?

Let's dive in.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker opens with a brief level.

The stage offers the player a chance to acclimate themselves to the controls without fear of

death, and also adjust the camera controls, which I needed to do.

After reaching the star, a giant bird named Wingo swoops in and steals it, which Toadette

refuses to let go of.

And then then the game begins proper.

Each of Captain Toad's 64 main levels act as a self-contained puzzle, with the goal

being to reach the star.

The stages themselves are usually small, with most of the playfield being visible, giving

the player a clear view of all of the obstacles obstructing the path.

While a seemingly simple task, Treasure Tracker does a nice job either forcing the player

to solve a problem to progress, learn patterns, or interact with enemies.

However, all of this is made more difficult by the fact Captain Toad is unable to jump,

presumably because his backpack is so full of treasure he can no longer leap.

On the first stage for example, the player needs to pull on a plunger, which sends part

of the level upwards, revealing the path to the star.

The pulling aspect doesn't stop there however, and pulling plants is a prominent gameplay

feature, ala Super Mario Bros. 2.

This leads to a second gameplay element, throwing.

Turnips are the primary weapon for Captain Toad, which can be used to defeat enemies

and snatch items.

While not a combat heavy game, enemies like Boos, Bullet Bills, Goombas, Hammer Bros.

and more all make appearances.

There are some new enemies as well like Flaptors, which patrol the sky and attack when a Toad

ventures underneath them.

The Piranha Sprout can be plucked once they retreat into the ground.

And as this game was released in 2014, Zombie like enemies can be found.

Mud Troopers will slowly march towards the player, but will freeze in the light of either

Toad's headlamp.

Yeah, the unassuming headlamp prominently featured on each character is actually quite

useful.

Mud Troopers will eventually vanish, temporarily halting their mission.

Boos act in the same way.

After 4 or so seconds, the ghosts will be defeated by the light.

The headlamp will also reveal hidden coins and of course light the way in some of the

darker stages.

The headlamp can also be turned off, which one might think is an arbitrary feature considering

how useful it can be.

However, enemies like Shy Guys are actually responsive to light, and shutting the headlamp

off allows Captain Toad and Toadette to sneak around these enemies more easily.

Of course, this wouldn't be a first party Wii U game without a heavy dose of gamepad

controls.

First and foremost, the gamepad can be used to tilt and rotate the camera.

Thankfully this is not the only way to adjust the camera, with the right analog stick performing

the function just fine, or even the shoulder buttons.

Sadly, the motion control aspect cannot be disabled, meaning any hand movements, will

result in the camera rotating around, intentional or not.

In theory the motion controlled camera should allow a greater degree of freedom, allowing

the player access to plucking and throwing while simultaneously having access to camera

movement.

However if given a choice, I would have preferred this feature optional.

It's not a flaw per say, just an occasional nuisance.

This analog stick versus motion controls is also present during minecart sections.

While on the minecart, the gamepad screen offers a first person view to launch turnips.

Again, one could use the motion controls to aim the launcher, but I found the analog stick

to be more direct and precise.

The touchscreen is put to heavy use too.

It can be used to reveal hidden coins on the playfield for example, and even freeze enemies.

And freezing enemies is surprisingly useful.

The protagonists are not the quickest, even when holding the run button, and I found using

the touchscreen to freeze enemies in place to be a great way to compensate for their

lack of swiftness.

Granted holding the gamepad in one hand is a little unwieldy…

The touchscreen is also mandatory for puzzle solving.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a puzzle game after all, so there are plenty of platforms

that can be moved using the gamepad.

This is a prominent element of many stages and is the most sound use of the touchscreen.

Less sound are spinwheels.

At various times the Toads will reach a wheel which has to be turned using the touch screen,

either clockwise or counter clockwise.

As expected, having to refocus one's attention to a different screen is less than desirable

and I would have preferred just using a button, or spinning the analog stick.

Lastly, another optional use is revealing these normally hidden walkways.

Platforms activated by sound also return, having the player blow or yell into the gamepad's

microphone to force platforms along a predetermined path.

Overall, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker features simple and intuitive controls.

It's generally a one button game, requiring thoughtful inputs and camera manipulations

for success, which fits really well with the puzzle solving nature of the adventure.

Also fitting in with the puzzle solving mechanics are the items.

The super mushroom allows the Toads to take an extra hit of damage, and the invincibility

mushroom acts as a handicap for less skilled players who died too many times on a level.

Finally, there are 1-up mushrooms.

The mandatory items include the double cherry and the super pickaxe.

The pickax allows the player to smash through impenetrable blocks and also mow-down enemies,

but it is on a timer so a player must use it wisely or risk missing out on collectables.

The double cherry allows the Toads to clone themselves, which then allows them to press

specific buttons which need to be engaged in tandem, or activate elevators which have

specific toad requirements.

But other than that, Captain Toad is again relatively simply with a small roster of items

and tools.

Of course the gameplay isn't as simple as just getting to the star and calling it a

day.

Each stage also has three super gems to collect.

These aren't necessarily mandatory, however at various points in the game there will be

a gem threshold to meet before further levels open up.

I believe up to 155 out of a total of 192, or about 80%.

So yeah, I guess they are mandatory.

Anyway, as fun as just getting to the end of each stage is, I think the real heart of

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is finding the gems, and for completionist sake I did

grab all 192 of them.

It is here where the specific level style, and the camera, really come into play.

For one, levels are grid-like, mostly made up of cubes and right angles.

This lays out a specific set of rules for the player to learn and understand.

With a rigid set of rules for players to learn and master, finding gems becomes an engaging

challenge, rather than a tedious fetch quest.

This leads into the camera, and again the first stage does a great job setting up the

player for success.

Right away a gem is shining through the rock wall, but the player needs to maneuver around

to go up a ramp to get it.

Another is hiding behind some blocks, which can be destroyed with touch.

The third is is revealed by talking with some wandering toads which happen to inhabit the

level.

Each stage also has an optional goal.

In the first stage, this comes in the form of a golden mushroom which can clearly be

seen when rotating the playfield.

However, secondary goals won't always be in the form of a golden mushroom.

Sometimes it's something silly, like not collapsing the bridge.

This is kind of an easy one to achieve, as the goal is revealed after beating the stage.

However others are far more difficult.

Sometimes the goal is to defeat every enemy.

This seems like it would be easy, but one must remember Toad cannot jump, adding an

element of resource management as to not waste turnip throws.

Other goals might be to not alert the Shy Guys.

This can become stressful as the player needs to be aware of all of the Shy Guy patterns

and not accidentally stumble into their walking path.

But freezing them with the touchscreen can makes things more comfortable.

However the best secondary goals are the ones that fit in with the puzzle themes of the

game, like clearing a level within a certain limit of touches.

While I did collect all of the gems, I did not complete all of the secondary goals, but

if I had more time this is the kind of thing I would really get into, and I find it adds

a ton of extra replay value and challenge to the game.

Graphically, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is appealing.

The texture work is great, never appearing blurry or pixelated.

Enemies feature a healthy amount of polygons, always looking seamless.

There are plenty of special effects as well, like tasteful lens flare and reflective water.

Actually the lighting as a whole is terrific.

Stages will be basked it the bright light of sunshine or sunsets all while casting realistic

shadows.

Night time levels will go completely black, with the headlamp doing a great job casting

a sharp looking spotlight.

Other areas are more evenly lit by things like lava, which itself offers a pleasant

looking heatwave.

The beachy areas even have a bit of haze, like a humid tropical island.

Honestly, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker features all of the graphical bells and whistles one

would expect from an 8th generation title rendered in high definition at a silky smooth

60 frames per second.

Even better is the art direction.

Despite being block-based in structure, the artists did an awesome job making stages feel

vibrant and alive.

I was particularly impressed with areas like this Haunted House.

It seems the limits provided by the game really brought out the artist's creativity.

The train levels are also cool, giving the player two different layers of a train carts

to explore.

There are levels filled with long slides to slide down, ancient temples to manipulate,

a wind up toy, spooky forests, castles, underground mines, a tree fort, a pachinko table, swamps,

a Donkey Kong inspired level, along with plenty of far more abstract concepts.

Despite the structured level design, the themes are vast and varied and Captain Toad: Treasure

Tracker feels fresh from the very first level through to the final ones.

None feel half baked either, and each are easy on the eyes.

While it may not be the best looking Wii U title, either technically or artistically,

it's a great looking game overall and I suspect it will withstand the test of time.

Same goes for the music.

While Toad and Toadette sound like nonsensical children when they do speak, the music is

wonderful.

Again I most revisit the opening stage because it's awesome.

There is a distinct and catchy melody that is pleasing, however it also has a certain

ambitious vibe going, like Captain Toad is ready to embark on a grand adventure.

This level of whimsical charm is carried throughout the game.

I really dig the unique twang and upbeat notes found in Briny Bowl Swimming Hole, the big

swinging sounds of Razzle Dazzle Slider, and the nods to Super Mario Bros. 3 found in Sliding

Slab Shuffle.

Now I can't say how much of the music is remixed from previous titles as I'm certainly

not an expert on the series, but from beginning to end the soundtrack has an upbeat playful

style that I personally find irresistible.

But of course, a high degree of technical polish and simple controls aren't enough

to make Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a worthy game.

What it really boils down to is the design of the puzzles.

Now, despite not reviewing many puzzle games for the channel, mostly because it isn't

exactly a popular genre, it is one of my favorites.

And I really enjoy the brand of puzzler where there is a specific end goal, a mission to

solve, or a level to crack.

And in this regard, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker mostly delivers.

Now I say mostly… because getting to the star is a trivial task.

Honestly, in all but a few levels, making it to the end can be accomplished by the most

novice of gamers.

Since it's generally hard to die, and there are no time limits, the solution can be be

stumbled upon if nothing else.

However there are a couple of levels where this isn't so.

Take Drop Road Dash for example.

This level is made up almost completely of collapsing platforms, meaning a player is

going to have to hoof it..

Magma Road Marathon offers a similar alternative gameplay style.

The player is forced over these dash panels which drastically increase Toad's pace and

do not allow the player to slow down.

In these moments, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker becomes less of a puzzle game and more of

a reactionary platformer, without jumping.

I'm a bit torn on these moments if I'm honest.

On one hand it's a jarring departure from the normal gameplay.

On the other hand it does a sufficient job varying up the gameplay to keep things from

feeling repetitive.

On the flip side, the boss fights do a great job adding elements of urgency while also

forcing the player to solve puzzles to take them down.

The bosses come in the form of Draggadon and the previously mentioned Wingo.

The three Draggadon stages take place inside a volcano like structure, forcing the player

to make their way upwards while avoiding a constant barrage of fire attacks.

At first the player just needs to hide behind rocks, but later they will need to actively

interact with the environment to form barriers in a timely fashion.

Wingo on the other hand is fought just twice.

But backing up a bit, I should note Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is broken into 3 different

books or episodes.

The first episode is 18 stages and is played as Captain Toad, as Toadette was kidnapped,

sorta.

In the second episode, also 18 stages, the roles are reversed and Toad is the one flown

off and the player pilots Toadette, who has an identical moveset.

However the end of chapter 2 does not conclude with a Wingo battle.

Instead Captain Toad and Toadette are just sorta reunited.

The third chapter is also different, and 28 stages long, with the player sometimes piloting

him, and other times her.

But honestly it really doesn't matter, I just find it odd the second chapter doesn't

have a boss battle to conclude the episode.

But I'm getting a little off topic.

The Wingo battles are much different than the Draggadon battles.

Here, the player must first race up a tower while the bird creates gusts of wind.

The wind will blow Toad around the screen, and also move around platforms.

The moving platforms can then be used to progress through the stages.

The player will then battle the bird directly by plucking turnips and then launching them

at Wingo.

While combat is certainly not Captain Toad's forte, the simple plucking and throwing mechanic

works well enough and Wingo's movements never exceed the capabilities of the hero.

While Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker barely has a narrative, the final cutscene does act

as a precursor to the events found in Super Mario 3D World, which is a nice little easter

egg.

So, with all of that out of the way we arrive back to the question asked at the beginning

of the video, is Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker worthy of a re-release or is their a reason

this is one of the cheaper first party Wii U titles out there.

While few would argue this isn't a solid game, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker isn't

a perfect title by any stretch.

There are head scratching moments, like when riding Draggadon for seemingly no reason.

And a couple stages are frustrating, like Ghost Gallery Gambit.

In fact, there is something somewhat strange with the game engine as a whole where depth

can be hard to perceive, almost like an early PlayStation game.

Even on my second play-though I would occasionally get tripped up as a platform was not located

where I perceived it to be.

Same goes for the Clear Pipe Puzzle Complex.

While again not a deal-breaker, I do find the level design does not always match the

limitations of the visual presentation.

Finally, a few of the stages are just duds, like Biddybud Snow Stroll.

Moving around activating or avoiding collapsing platforms is just a tedious task and there

really isn't much clever puzzle solving to be found.

My final comments are more subjective and overarching.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is not a difficult game nor is it a long game.

Beating the 64 levels and collecting all 192 gems took just 5 and half hours on my second

go.

Now I'm not here to tell someone how to value their hard earned money, but paying

$40 retail for 5 and a half hours of gameplay isn't going to be for everyone.

Thankfully the Wii U version of the game is significantly cheaper, which is nice.

But back to the difficulty.

As noted, the primary goal of each stage is to reach the star.

And in many cases, there really isn't much in the way of reaching this objective.

However the difficulty can be obscured somewhat by the excellent difficulty curve.

The opening stage has just a single hazard, a shy guy, but others are filled with far

more peril.

But the journey from a single enemy to a stage full of hazards is mostly linear.

Things progress in a logical way so no challenge is overwhelming.

Concepts are reused and expanded upon keeping things fresh without overly complicating the

gameplay.

Throwing a turnip is a common mechanic in the game.

As is entering pipes.

This means when there are flying enemies out of normal reach, a player can put two and

two together and figure out a way past.

Even better, the turnip plant grows back indefinitely, making sure a player cannot get stuck.

This level of thoughtfulness and care permeates the adventure.

Take the double cherry power-up.

In theory it would be easy to have one of the Toads walk off a ledge or get stuck into

an impossible situation.

However level layouts are well crafted, ensuring a player won't get stuck without the minimal

necessary toads.

However there are optional goals that will require skillful play to have all of the clones

reach the exit.

I love how gravity is often used to add an element of platforming to an otherwise platform

free game.

Clever players will position movable platforms and doors to let Toad squash a bunch of goombas

for example.

And there is an entire rotating level where the player needs to fall from platform to

platform to reach various gems.

In fact, physics are often used to good effect, like using the weight of the hero to cause

large platforms to rotate, ultimately creating a path forward.

Early on, the player is taught to use Bullet Bills to smash through blocks.

Later on, the player will need to use the spin wheel to precisely aim the shots, increasing

the skill of a seemingly easy task.

Enemies are first avoided, and later used to open up new areas of levels.

And this is where the greatness of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker really shines.

The challenge provided is not in trying to control the character, but instead solving

puzzles.

And when the game presents a puzzle within a puzzle, like finding a key to unlock a door,

moving platforms to pave the way forward, or pressing on alternating buttons to raise

and lower platforms, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is engaging.

The levels are tightly crafted, with few blocks or elements being wasted or feeling random.

Everything has a place and purpose.

This goes for the camera as well, which can always be positioned to give the player the

exact view they are looking for, meaning every pattern can be studied and learned.

When one takes damage, it always feels like the player's fault, rather than the game

presenting unfair challenges.

Well, almost always.

While I'm still scratching my head as to why there are two characters, when their movesets

are identical, I still come away from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker with a smile on my

face.

The game is absolutely delightful, with a gentle difficulty curve, few sloppy moments,

and a great blend of puzzle solving and light collecting.

For those seeking more, there are alternate goals and bonus levels.

Of course some will be bored by the whole thing if they don't particularly like puzzlers.

But if you dig the genre, or are looking for something a little different, Captain Toad:

Treasure Tracker delivers.

From the tight level design to the simple controls, this game is a fun and engaging

romp filled to the brim with charm, and I highly recommend it.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Wii U/Switch) - Worth It? - IMPLANTgames - Duration: 21:13.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a puzzle game developed by Nintendo and released on

the Wii U in 2014, with Switch and 3DS versions following in 2018.

Serena Williams hungry for more titles afr returning to ten follow 'super tough delivery' first chil - Duration: 6:04.

Serena Williams hungry for more titles after returning to tennis following 'super tough delivery' of her first child

Williams gave birth to her first child, daughter Olympia, in September last year, and revealed in February that she had "almost died" in the following days.

The 36-year-old told of how she had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in the lungs, after undergoing a caesarian section.

Williams previously missed nearly 12 months between 2010 and 2011 after suffering a pulmonary embolism.

"It's no secret I had a super tough delivery," she said after her 6-2, 6-4 Wimbledon semi-final win over Julia Goerges.

"I lost count after, like, four surgeries because I was in so many surgeries.

It was just routine every day, I had to have a new surgery.

"Because of all the blood issues I have, I was really touch-and-go for a minute.

I didn't actually know until after my agent, Jill [Smoler], who is actually more of a friend, but she was saying how much stress it was.

I'm glad no one told me at the time I was going through that.

Yeah, it was tough.

There was a time I could barely walk to my mailbox.

"A lot of people were saying, 'Oh, she should be in the final'.

For me it's such a pleasure and a joy because, you know, less than a year ago I was going through so much stuff.

"For me, having to deal with PEs, pulmonary embolisms, is more mentally challenging because I don't know if I have a pain in my leg, I automatically go to the worst-case scenario.

That is not very easy.

I mean, even this week, I had a pain in my leg, and I went to the worst-case scenario: 'Oh, my God, I have a PE in my leg'.

"It's mentally very, very difficult.

I didn't know I would have such kind of traumatic thoughts, especially now that I have a daughter.

I want to be around as long as I can to support her.

It's interesting how that mental recovery is actually taking much longer than I ever expected.".

She added that her doctors "never said I couldn't come back.

I had a lot of restrictions for a long time in terms of working out, things that I could do.

But it kind of flew by, you know.".

It was all worth it for the new mother.

"I have Olympia.

For me, I only see joy out of it.

In a way, it's by far the toughest, but in a way it's by far the best.".

Next for Williams is a final against Kerber in which she can tie Margaret Court's record 24 Grand Slam singles' titles.

On her current form it seems inevitable that she will eventually break a record once thought insurmountable but it could not have been further from her mind.

"To be perfectly honest, I haven't thought about that this tournament," Williams said.

"Not even once actually.

In fact, I've probably forget about it, yeah.

"I think that's a good thing because, you know, I put so much pressure on myself when I was trying to get to 18, then the rest, it was so much.

But as I said in the past couple years, I don't want to limit myself.

I think that's what I was doing in the past, I was limiting myself.

"It's just a number.

I want to get as many as I can, starting with -- I still have a match to win, so I'm not even there yet.".

Just have one broccoli?

No. Nooo.

Ugh.

Eek. Disgusting.

(Sigh)

...I don't know.

Parents, is this struggle familiar?

I mean, who has time for this (BLEEP).

Not me.

And don't expect the bloggers

and the books to have the answer.

The solution is here.

Bribery. That's right,

corrupt their innocence

with a little over the table bribery.

Is it ethical?

No.

But edible?

Yes.

Just pay them the fries they love to eat,

for the foods they don't.

Do you not have a problem with this?

We're just going to trust a random woman?

I mean she does make some really good points.

I know what you're thinking

"Maybe I'm not comfortable with bribery?"

I'm not comfortable with bribery...

Well, we've renamed it,

Potato Pay.

It's the same bribery we all know and love,

only now easier to admit to.

The new SEXY concept of APINK 🐼🐼 with English subtitles - Duration: 5:15.

A very generalized opinion of Apink is believe in them as a group of girls

good and innocent whose songs they speak of love towards someone whose

feelings are so strong that they go to transcend and will last forever but

it was not like that in this last comeback in where innocence was not present

the pandas waited more than a year for the return of Apink

of course without Miracle

which was a song dedicated by the group to panda fandom

I'm so sick was just published and the opinions came up quickly

especially because of its big difference with other songs published

previously by the group

but what has this song different from others

songs that have been presented before that group is very easy the group changed

absolutely everything in this song

the Plan-A agency announces the comeback of

group in June to be published in July saying that it would be a very concept

mature to the accustomed by the group so mature that many fans were left

dazzled with the mature concept almost sexy they made in this song

let's see the music video to know what is this song about, the video is

very sophisticated each of the girls She wears a very elegant dress like

You can appreciate at the beginning where they walk away from the camera

each one through a door that the leads directly to your world by

HaYoung example towards her space full of flowers NaEun to a simpler world in the

who expresses her frustration by painting his couple as you can appreciate in the

painting other scenes to highlight are the ChoRong space full of clothes while

try to taste a cake but immediately leaves it aside or NamJoo without

to be able to eat their french fries because They do not want to eat because they look so

sad we are all going to analyze the video to understand it, it is important to see

that the girls are injured by guilt of love at the beginning of the video

NaEun says I'm hurt you have to know what the subject demonstrates

main song girls that give understand that the relationship must end

it's time for a change each one has been hurt by your partner in which

as seen in the video and its personal spaces has filled them

Gifts but the gifts are enough?

That "bye bye bye" of the choir gives us to understand

that they do not want to give a second opportunity your partner have been completely tired

they invite us to see their space staff throughout the video we

demonstrate with their physical expression and their looks that are sad the gifts are not

fill them all want to feel love of new

are inviting the pandas to

see that they feel sad that they trust in them who are your friends

because they trust the pandas

the pandas are their fandom his friends who have supported

all these years and who have never seen other side but have seen by the

welfare of these six girls we should remember that pink and pandas have

an extensive and powerful relationship based in love the pandas have given him

supporting her from the beginning

while Apink advances over the years

pandas have been there for them they have a relationship based on love and they have

known to support

But, is it a good idea to have changed the concept?

many fans and even those who they are not fans on the internet they reacted

positively they have loved the change

move from innocent girls to a concept

sexie and vibes of the 80s and their maturity has opened a path to future songs

with the same theme

Is this change for Apink good? Is it going to be lost with the

time your tender concept after this?

you can not know what you can not see

the future is uncertain but we have seen as the group tried something new with

letters very different from are no longer girls who

they want to give love are girls who they are simply tired of the same

They are looking for something new

but they can believe something else they can still want it to work

then we find the following verses

in this part they want the relationship want more than that person

show sincerity that you stole the heart the relationship is over but can

have a second chance

although later they imply that there will be no second chances

leave comments below if you too you were a terrible couple as they mention

the Apink girls and some comments they will be answered

Not all COW: My stuffed hands can not write, that's why I give hearts

Propaganda estranha da Cartoon Network, razão e motivo aqui - Duration: 4:00.

Translated by: Spring oculto Desvendando Lendas Creator of the video and the content...!

[Don't need to put translates 'cause is english hehe]

Well, we can see they aren't in Cartoon Network, because Edd say they supposedly can't stay in this channel

And with that orange background, we can knows where they are...

"Pay for us"

The name of the channel that posted the video is "iamstevepatrick"

If we search about this guy,

We can see he is a important guy for Cartoon Network

(Music ♫ )

You are thinking now "Why Nickelodeon leaves Cartoon Network post your propaganda?"

Very ease to know why!

If you see the description of the video, say the channels of 90's can't see and monitorate the propaganda

What that means? If Disney Channel want post your propaganda in Cartoon Network channel They can post!

But today, isn't in that way

Same the Boomerang channel wants put your intro in Cartoon Network...

And the cartoon "Over The Garden Wall" is in the rights of cartoon network, appear in other channels, like History and Nick.
