The Real Reason Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry Broke Up - Duration: 7:41.

Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry were an item long before he fell in love with former actress

Meghan Markle.

In fact, the Duke of Sussex was quite the ladies man — with no shortage of eligible

bachelorettes who hoped to steal the prince's heart.

But none came closer to leaving him absolutely smitten, than his former girlfriend, Zimbabwe-born

jeweler Chelsy Davy.

After meeting in the spring of 2004 in Cape Town, South Africa, the pair embarked on a

seven-year romance that was full of highs and lows.

They journeyed into adulthood together, with Prince Harry beginning his military training

in 2005 and Davy focusing on her education.

As a result, they spent more time apart than the average couple.

With the media scrutinizing their every move, their relationship was practically in shambles

by the time they finally broke up for good, in 2011.

Thankfully, they've managed to remain close friends since then, with Davy even attending

Harry's May 2018 wedding.

They both have clearly moved on, but what exactly ended their romance?

Here are some of the reasons why Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry broke up.

Not feeling those royal duties

Many women dream of becoming a princess and joining the British royal family, but not

Davy.

The daughter of a Zimbabwean millionaire, she grew up in the lap of luxury, but that

didn't deter her from working hard to become successful in her own right.

Not only is she well-educated, receiving a bachelor's degree in economics from the University

of Cape Town, a law degree from the University of Leeds, and a gemology diploma from the

Gemological Institute of America, Davy also launched her own ethical jewelry line, which

was inspired by her African hometown.

With a bustling life of her own and ambitions to tend to, it's no surprise that she was

apprehensive about a life in the monarchy.

According to People, Davy was,

"Reportedly wary of marrying into the royal family.

[...] 'She's her own woman.'"

Rugby love first

At the height of their relationship, Prince Harry was living his best life, running around

London and hitting up the city's hotspots.

And it didn't take long for the media to peg him as the royal wild child, a party boy who

was just looking to have a good time.

Allegedly, his love of the nightlife combined with his tendency to flirt with the ladies

strained his relationship with Davy.

A source told News of the World,

"Chelsy just couldn't put up with his antics any more.

She feels they've fallen out of love.

She was sick to the back teeth of Harry not putting the maximum amount of effort into

the relationship."

In one instance, Harry skipped Davy's 22nd birthday party to go to the Rugby World Cup

Final in Paris, according to The Telegraph.

His decision allegedly prompted one of the couple's many breakups in 2007, when Davy

infamously switched her Facebook status from "in a relationship" to "single."

Did he cheat?

Davy was allegedly miffed in November 2007 after peeking at the prince's cell phone.

According to the Courier Mail, Davy discovered text messages he had sent to an unnamed woman

and supposedly overheard him having a "whispered conversation with a girl" the month prior.

Sources claimed Davy,

"Hit the roof.

[…] She then confronted Harry and they had a blazing row.

But that wasn't the only time the alleged two-timing prince had stepped out on his former

flame.

Two years later, in 2009, the couple was on the outs again, with Davy reportedly telling

a source, via the Mirror, the reason they had broken up was quote, "Because [Harry]

cheated."

Long-distance damage

While the couple endured their fair share of breakups during the course of their relationship,

each time news broke that they'd gone their separate ways, fans around the world were

gutted.

One of their most notable splits occurred in January 2009.

At the time, People magazine spoke to friends close to the then-couple who blamed their

breakup on their long-distance relationship.

Davy, who was finishing up her law degree in England at the time, was homesick and missing

her native Zimbabwe; while Prince Harry was deployed to Afghanistan with the British Army.

While some insiders believed the relationship had "run its course" during their 2009 hiccup,

others hoped for a reconciliation.

A friend close to the couple told People,

"I don't see this [breakup] as long-term."

And by September of that same year, they were giving their relationship another shot.

Penciling it in

During their courtship, Davy remained committed to various charitable organizations.

She also lent her time and resources to the organizers of the Pearl Ball, an event that

raises money for the Ndoro Children's Charities with proceeds going to underprivileged children

in Africa.

Davy was set to attend their 2010 gala, but she was reportedly forced to pull out at the

last minute at Prince Harry's request.

A source told The Telegraph,

"Harry had just finished his helicopter training course and was adamant that she should make

time for him."

Davy obliged, but not without a fight.

She was so passionate about the cause that she was reportedly "exasperated" when she

was forced to decline the invitation.

Re-prioritizing her schedule to accommodate the busy prince was allegedly "the final straw"

for Davy, who decided to break it off with him and head back to South Africa to pursue

her career in the legal field, according to the news outlet.

A media frenzy

Imagine being hounded by the British media nonstop.

The constant camera flashes and fake news constantly published in the press would be

enough to make any sane person feel the heat.

As such, Davy would frequently greet camera lenses with ice-cold glares.

Five years following her 2011 breakup with Harry, she discussed the media attention with

The Times, saying,

"Yes.

It was tough.

It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable.

I found it very difficult when it was bad.

I couldn't cope.

I was young, I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible."

Harry was able to sympathize with his then-girlfriend, especially since his mother, Princess Diana,

passed away in 1997 in a fatal car crash that was blamed on the paparazzi.

He said,

"I can see how upset [Davy] gets.

[…] My girlfriend is somebody who's very special to me, and yes, she's gone through

some very hard times."

Seeing into the future

After Davy and Harry's 2011 breakup, the couple reunited to attend William and Kate's wedding

in April of that year.

The Daily Mail reported that Davy was open to giving Prince Harry another chance at the

time, but she allegedly made one thing crystal clear to her friends, saying,

"There's no way we are getting married.

It's not a life for me."

But some say Prince Harry tried to change her mind.

An insider told The Mail,

"Harry adores Chelsy and really wants things to work.

He has brought up marriage in the past, usually when he's drunk, but Chelsy's the one to quickly

play it all down.

[...] The truth is she really doesn't like the attention that comes with dating a prince."

Prince Harry's wild ways

Once Davy and Harry's relationship was officially done-zo, no one expected the royal to drown

his sorrows in a tub of ice cream, but many didn't expect him to move on so quickly.

Within weeks, he was reportedly dating Florence Brudenell-Bruce, a woman he'd been friends

with for years.

According to the Mirror, Davy was surprised by the prince's rapid rebound and allegedly

told a friend:

"Harry's a great man but a terrible boyfriend.

He doesn't take relationships seriously and it was impossible to tame him."

It seems Meghan Markle was the one person able to rein in the prince.

He proved that he was willing to leave his wild-child persona in the dust by popping

the question just over a year after they began dating.

Looking back on the ups and downs of his relationship with Davy, the former couple clearly made

the right decision to end their romance and remain friends.

Davy got to pursue her personal and professional goals, and Harry found a partner who's excited

to get down to royal business.

No regrets

Following Prince Harry's televised wedding to Meghan Markle, heavy attention was placed

on the sort of rules that those who marry into the royal family must abide by, such

as a strict dress code that calls for the knees and shoulders to be covered at all times.

Davy was certainly granted a front row seat to some of the strict policies Kate Middleton

struggled with during her early relationship with Prince William, and according to the

Daily Mail, the jewelry designer wasn't a fan of all those rules.

After attending William and Kate's 2011 wedding, a source told the Mail,

"Chelsy thought the wedding was wonderful and she had a ball, but there's no way marriage

is on the cards for her.

She wants her freedom and to start a career."

If she had attempted to work things out with Harry one last time, she likely would not

have enjoyed the freedom to launch her ethical jewelry line or practice law, so she clearly

made the right decision.

Found a 1909 Penny - Hunting a Bank Box of Pennies! - Duration: 7:54.

Unbelievable! Hey everyone its Rob Rob finds treasure and we've got a penny box got

my two box pickup from Wells Fargo this week another brand new box of 2018 DS

I'll take them and we got a box circulated here so eager to get into it

as always I'll loop you in if I find something worth showing all right we're

on a roll number seven we found our first Wheat Cent here let's go ahead and

take a look at it together could be old

unbelievable guys

is that a 1909 s 1909 I think that's a mint mark

I think that's just damaged down there I'm gonna study this under the microscope

guys I'll be right back all right guys

it just had some markings on it it also looked like there could have been a mint

mark. like an S but that's just a play of light right there that s would be

completely off strike to the side not in the right spot and at different angles

it goes away and so it's a 1909 and I even checked the back of it and and I

don't see any VDB it's pretty toasty though so it's hard to tell like could

there have been some lettering down there who knows the condition is so bad

but look at this I have never found a 1909 in circulation I have a couple that

I got from online rolls that I bought which was nice but man it sure did look

like he could have a mint mark there but it's not a mint mark it's a 1909 still a

great find this isn't the worst shape it could probably be in so it's probably a

good 4 at best still 1909 found in circulation

unbelievable now that we found that and only our 7th roll man I am super excited

about what this box could hold have you guys ever found in 1909 in circulation

1909 whether it's the s or not whether it's a VDB or not have you found one?

unbelievable roll number 9 guys and I'm pretty excited because it looks like

it's another possible old one here

not as old as we thought but you know what 49 D will take it that's a beauty

we're on roll 17 guys and we've got another wheat penny and another what appears to

be old yeah it's got to be old 1912 d holy cow you know what let me do a

little research on this one we've got a 1912 teens wheatie with a d mint mark

alright guys just looked it up ten point four million minted this is a seven

dollar coin in good four condition and I think it's a little bit better maybe

look how sharp the letters are at least so this might be fine twelve maybe so

maybe it's a ten dollar coin unbelievable - really oldies and a forty

nine um super excited we're only 17 rolls in this box well 24 guys we found

another wheat penny this one looks like it might be a little newer yeah but it's

still in 1950 pretty nice newest of the box but we'll take a 1950 Philadelphia

at any time roll 29 guys and we just found a pretty nice die cracked 83 again

I always check these for the double die reverse and take a look at this die

crack it's like it's a wide die crack right at the I and the T it even goes

into the building through some of the columns and on this side so judging by

what I've seen in the 83 die cracks this was a later one in other words it was

the same die crack we've been seeing

but the die got worse as it kept on

striking and I think this is a pretty significant one matter of fact if I if I

see it correctly it looks like it goes all

the way to right about here that's a pretty big crack it's almost across

really so yeah crazy be checking those 83

Philadelphia's guys this is like my fifth die cracked 83 that I have found guys

that took a closer look at this 83 die crack I want to get another look at it

again you can see the Y up there by the I and the T it comes through the columns

a little bit you've got the crack over here between

the I & C and I just spotted this other die crack right below the memorial by

the F and the G so that's a pretty major three-point die crack almost four points

if you look up there so yeah I'm sorry I just wanted to look

a little bit longer and admire it that's a really nice die cracked 83p

roll 50 final roll of the box and we're gonna find a wheat cent in here looks

fairly new 53d that does bring us to five wheat pennies for the box and it's

probably all we're gonna get we'll hunt this roll and I'll bring you back in all

right everybody finish that box of pennies and while the number of findings

might be limited the quality wasn't we only had two and a half pounds of copper

so light on that had a gold-tone penny and I really look at this this is a 2018

that's already been through the ringer's we found another 10 of the 2009 s we

got two 83 cracked dies you've seen the really good one this one has just

more like a die chip right at the I and the R in America you can see with

the naked eye but it's part of a crack line so figured we keep that aside as

well 3 59's 5 wheat pennies two 69 "s" to look at listen I'll take five wheat

pennies out of a box all day when the key finds of the box are right here a

1909 Philadelphia the 1912 D Denver unbelievable two coins over a hundred

years old two coins that definitely fetch a little bit of a premium not the

best shape of the 1909 but you know what it's a 1909

Puka is Hawaiian for hole.

The puka shells start off as cone shells in the ocean.

Tumbling in the surf and sand cracks the cone shell and

separates the tip from the bottom.

Further wave action smoothes and polishes the edges.

[OCEAN WAVES]

Today, we will be showing you how to make a bracelet out of them.

To make the bracelet, you will need puka shells, fishing line, a needle and scissors.

Start off by taking your puka shells and poking the sand out with your needle.

Lay out your puka shells before stringing.

Have the biggest ones start at the middle, the smaller ones on the ends.

Measure your wrist with a tsuji, then cut it with scissors.

You might need a friend to help you with this.

Finally, string the shells on and tie a knot to secure it.

And there you have it, your very own puka shell

bracelet.

He's a super-athlete.

We never want to challenge him, we could never compete against him.

Many people associate Daniel B. Lau as one of the founders, chairman of the board and

a director of the loan company known as Finance Factors.

What you may not know is that Daniel Lau is also a former

University of Hawai'i baseball batting champion and track medalist.

I joined the baseball team, and it's amazing that I became the best batter for the University

team in my senior year in 1937.

I was too small to do much, but I was able to do well to play baseball.

Daniel Lau's success in baseball has proved that being small in size doesn't matter.

He could drop the ball, just like in baseball, where he says he can hit the ball.

He couldn't hit the ball far, he couldn't hit it over the outfield, he couldn't

hit the homerun, but he could see where the gaps were in

the outfield, and he'd just drop the ball, hit it right into the gaps.

Incredibly, Daniel Lau played baseball until his nineties, with numerous national and world

championships under his belt.

He's played in various leagues

such as the Honolulu Financial Softball League, and is the only player

from Hawai'i recruited to join Arizona's Silver Fox Championship team.

I was about ninety-five years old -- about three years ago, ninety.

I ninety, and I was playing against seventy-eight, seventy-nine-year-old players.

So, I quit playing.

But that didn't keep him away from the game he's loved most of his life.

I've been sponsoring softball teams.

Even today, I'm paying for the players that play in Las Vegas.

Daniel Lau was part of the 1995 and 2000 Senior Softball World Champion teams.

At that time, he was eighty-one years old.

Even though he is currently unable to play, he never outgrew the game of baseball,

and for over twenty years, had been sponsoring the Hawai'i Senior Softball Makule League,

which has been either a finalist or a champion for the

past twelve years.

I'm a teacher.

I've been here at Baldwin High School for the past fourteen years, teaching in the travel

academy for the past ten or eleven years.

And lastly, I got back into bodybuilding.

Sometimes, the most inspiring people come from unexpected places.

Being the academy teacher here at Baldwin High School, that requires a lot of time for

me outside of class, as well as planning trips, fundraisers, activities.

Being a single parent, one of the obstacles I had to

overcome was making the time commitment that you need to have in order to be successful

at bodybuilding.

In high school, I was super skinny.

I graduated in '98 at a hundred thirty-five pounds.

So, when I got to that age where I could start

lifting, and seeing the difference it could make in my life, it was

more for, I guess, my protection.

So, I just tried it, and kinda fell in love with the sport.

So, off-season is when you train and you try to do heavy, and you're trying to build more

muscles, so you're not worried about the cuts, you're

not worried about how you look in front of the mirror

necessarily.

You're just trying to put on as much muscle as you can where you need it.

And then, when you're in-season, that's when you start dieting,

you start doing more cardio, and then you can start seeing

the shape come in.

My meals consist of chicken, tuna, eggs, brown rice, vegetables, protein drinks.

For the mental aspect of bodybuilding, going in for a workout, you

know, you gotta mentally prepare what you're gonna get done.

But then, when you're on a diet, you have no energy, but yet, you're thinking to yourself,

the other guy that's gonna be standing next to you on stage

is working out right now, and he's getting better than you.

One of Toda's most recent accomplishments was at the 2016 Ka Po I Ka Po'okela competition,

where he placed first and took the title of overall

bodybuilding champion.

Balancing my time was definitely one of the harder things for me to do as a single parent.

It being one of my goals from my past, something that I really

wanted to get back into and kinda to show my kids that if

you have the goal, just do whatever you can to get to it, and it can become true.

As Travis continues his bodybuilding journey, he finds ways to inspire those around him.

So, in the future, I really look forward to helping many students or especially my children

achieve any goals that they might have.

If it comes to bodybuilding, my son will be awesome.

Cancer's been a part of our life.

It's been a part of Jessica's life since Jessica was born.

She didn't even know that she was coming into a family where

it was such an issue.

Jessica's older sister, Jenai Kaeo, was born in 1990 on O'ahu, Hawai'i.

At the age of two, she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Luckily, she wasn't alone.

Well, you know, I think I was blissfully ignorant prior to Jenai's diagnosis.

It's changed my life, and I have to say, probably for the better.

You know, although I would never want to go through it again,

would never change the people and the families that I've met along the way.

Camp Anuenue, rah-rah-rah!

The American Cancer Society started a camp in 1985

for children diagnosed with cancer called Camp Anuenue.

They deal with children ages seven to eighteen,

and lasts for one whole week during the month of June.

In 1997, Jenai was enrolled in this camp.

Well, Anuenue specifically brings children who are battling cancer, who are still on

treatment or just off treatment, brings them together for some normalcy.

And it's just a week of fun -- basically fun, dances and so forth.

Jenai's younger sister, Jessica, would go with her family to drop Jenai off at camp,

but she often felt left out of all the fun, and her family was never

quite sure how to talk to Jessica about it.

Well, it was always kind of a lot of fun dropping her off at camp.

[INDISTINCT CONVERSATION]

I'd get to see all her camp buddies, and stuff.

We would get her settled into her cabin, and we just headed

back home, and I would always ask, Why don't I get to go?

Or don't they have bring your sister to camp day?

Like, I want to go, that looks like so much fun.

In 2012, an organization known as HUGS started a camp just for siblings of an ill child.

It takes place every summer at the beginning of June.

Well, we get to go rock wall climbing, we also get to swim in the pool.

And the kids love probably the campfire the most, because they get to roast

S'mores, sing campfire songs.

We also have something called [INDISTINCT] and it's where the kids

actually get to talk about their feelings and emotions, and

how their sibling's diagnosis has affected them.

It's just a whole weekend of really hanging out with each

other, and enjoying each other's company and having a lot of fun.

Not only does Jessica get to go out and have fun,

but it benefits her in a much greater way.

Personally, it's kind of put me in a huge leadership role.

I've actually been a junior leader for three years now.

Siblings Camp is more than just exciting camp activities.

It's about youth coming together and sharing their experiences, stories and advice with

other kids they can relate to.

As for Jenai now, she has been in remission for twenty-four years.

She graduated from Otis College of Art and Design, with a bachelor's

degree in fine arts.

She's living her life in Los Angeles as a graphic designer,

and is now as healthy as could be.

Salsa is a fun and fast-paced dance.

Salsa is a mix of Latin and musical genres, a primary component of

Cuban dance music, and an easy dance that anyone can learn.

All it takes is a few basic steps.

[MUSIC]

Start with your feet together.

Step forward with your left foot, then step in place with your right.

Step together, moving your left foot back.

Then move backwards with your right foot, step in place with your

left foot, and bring your feet back together.

You can repeat these steps until the song you've chosen is done.

Now you've learned the basic steps to salsa.

You can take this with you and learn even more.

Do not worry, eventually, with enough practice,

you'll be able to salsa.
