BIG CS:GO ANNOUNCEMENT: European Community League (ECL) - Duration: 3:54.

Hey guys, salut mes amis, och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

Here's the big announcement that I promised, welcome to ECL, the European Community League.

The idea behind ECL is by Jeff aka HOUNGOUNGAGNE,

a french YouTuber that most of you probably know already, together with me, Tweeday and

Trilluxe we've decided to work together to give you guys the best Matchmaking experience possible.

My issue with the current Matchmaking system is that it's crawling with just too many cheaters

and too many watermelons.

It happens way too often that you get some really toxic dude in your team, which btw

is why I prefer playing with people I know.

Even when I have a high trust factor it still happens too often, and it shouldn't have to

be that I need to play with friends to enjoy the game.

This is why I love the idea behind ECL and why I'm part of it.

ECL is for people looking for a better Matchmaking experience and is willing to support the league.

We, ECL offers prizes, tournaments, seasons and it's obviously well balanced so you get matched

with people close to your skill.

It's a very serious project and one of the biggest ones I've been involved in so far.

It's been in the works for months, and we really want to make this work.

Just to make it really clear though: Even though we all wanted ECL to be free, it just

wouldn't be possible and there's a lot of reasons behind it, Jeff has a great video explaining why.

But to join ECL is currently set at €4.99 a month, and you will get access to all features, plus

most of it will go towards supporting the league.

Now, in order to run something this big, it needs to run on a good platform.

Making one from scratch takes lots of time, energy, not to mention how expensive it would

be, so the best way to move forward was to integrate ECL with FaceIT.

Now to make this clear, we are not FaceIT, but we're working together with FaceIT.

FaceIT has all the tools needed to successfully build what we want to achieve with ECL.

This also means that you don't need FaceIT premium to play on ECL, but you will need

to use the mandatory anti-cheat which is great for us all.

I also know that many of you might be wondering if there's a possibility of getting into FPL-C

and I can say right now that we are working on it so you might see that possibility in the future.

But the more people we are in ECL, the better the experience will be for everyone and the

more things we'll be able to do.

I think the best part about ECL is that we have total control over the environment, meaning

we can moderate the league and toxic behaviors will be punished...

Now because I truly believe in ECL and it's been in the works for a very long time, I'm

going to play on it as much as possible, which means you'll get a chance to play with me

if you decide to do the same.

It's gonna be fun to meet some of you guys there, and I really felt like this was needed.

I'm also going to start streaming very soon now that my Twitch issues are gone, so let's

have some fun together and play the Matchmaking we deserve.

The Economics of Uber - Duration: 9:42.

Uber is the highest-valued private company in the world,

More than Airbnb, SpaceX, and Lyft combined.

Every day, 15 million rides are taken across 600 cities in 78 countries -

Everywhere from the Southern Tip of Africa to the tiny town of Gridley, California - home

of the Red Suspenders Festival, I'm sure you're familiar.

Uber is so successful because it's so convenient.

Open the app and choose a ride - standard, or luxury, or, in India, rickshaw.

Soon, even flying taxi.

Afterwards, you rate the driver, and they rate you.

1 through 4 stars being the worst experience of your life.

And five stars, anywhere from Mostly Tolerable to Absolutely amazing.

I'm only slightly kidding: a 4.6 average can get a driver deactivated.

Still better than Netflix's thumbs up or down, which is 80% sure I'll like The Emoji

Movie,

To which, I say:

Finally, Uber calculates the price, it's really very simple:

Start with the regular base fare, add the per minute rate multiplied by time spent in

car, plus distance times the per mile rate, all of which depend on the city.

A $40 ride in Tokyo costs $1.62 in Cairo.

Then add the booking fee, and possibly airport, toll, cancellation, cleaning, and lost item

fees.

UNLESS there are too many riders and not enough drivers, in which case multiply by a surge

price,

2, 3, or, on New Years Eve Two-Thousand-Eleven, seven times the normal price.

And as YoutUBERs have shown, algorithms can be manipulated:

If drivers log out at the same time, they create a shortage and trigger a surge.

Oh, it also uses machine learning to predict how much you're willing to pay based on

route,

so maybe don't call an Uber from the Burj Khalifa to The Bellagio, besides the fact

that you… can't.

Even despite this, Uber is almost always cheaper, faster, and easier.

It took the most outdated, inefficient industry,

sprinkled in something called "Technology"

and completely reinvented the wheel.

Oh, come on, you should know by now, there's always a twist…

In the 1930's, The Great Depression… happened.

It wasn't great, but it was depressing.

Every fourth American was unemployed and desperate for work.

Especially low-skill, low barrier-to-entry jobs,

But, YouTube hadn't been invented, so, they drove taxis - lots and lots of taxis.

Meanwhile, fewer people could afford a ride.

And, as I was taught by a monopoly educating me about the danger of monopolies, When this

line goes up, and this ones goes down, prices fall and drivers get angry.

Like, violent protests in the street angry.

So New York City wrote the Haas Act.

Now, to legally operate a taxi, you'd need one of 17,000 licenses called medallions.

But 81 years later, with a million more people, it's only 13,000.

You can see the problem.

The number of medallions issued is more political than it is practical.

Before, extreme competition made prices unsustainably low.

Good for riders, bad for drivers.

And then, the pendulum reversed - too little competition made taxis expensive and inefficient

- bad for riders, good for drivers.

One medallion, the right to operate a single taxi, was once worth over a million dollars.

But advice like this hasn't aged so well.

Because: Uber happened.

Its drivers flood the market by not requiring medallions, draining their value.

High competition, low prices, and angry calls for regulation - Sound familiar?

This time, we aren't in an economic depression, but many households are, which means lots

of drivers.

For you and I, Uber is revolutionary - the low prices of last century plus the magic

of these things.

And for drivers, well, yes and no…

If you ask Uber what the average driver makes an hour, they point you to this study: $19.19.

Another says 21.

Not too bad - unless, you look under the hood.

What they don't include are the car, its depreciation, maintenance, gas, and some of

the insurance.

Adjust for these and things aren't so rosy -

This study estimates the median hourly profit is eight fifty five before taxes,

less than minimum wage for 54% of drivers.

8% actually lose money.

You might say: But Uber is supplementary - a quick way to make extra cash between jobs.

And, that's mostly true, about 60% have another primary income.

Plus, unlike taxis, who are even legally required to wear black socks in LA, with Uber, you

have some freedom.

But the reason people don't drive more might only be they can't.

Because Uber considers its drivers not employees, but independent contractors.

Employees are entitled to minimum wage, gas reimbursement, overtime, breaks, collective

bargaining, paid leave, and health insurance,

Which would cost the company about 4 billion dollars a year.

So they're extremely careful to call drivers "partners", and itself, not a transportation

company, but a "platform" -

Simply connecting riders to drivers, who decide when to work, what to wear, and so on.

But, Uber controls the prices.

And that's the catch - if drivers are just independent businesses, Uber setting their

fares could be considered price fixing.

So, which are they?

That depends on who you ask and when, and the answer will shape the future of the industry.

But something doesn't add up, The golden age for drivers came from regulating competition,

the same regulation Uber spends millions of dollars fighting.

Going back to the days of high competition and low prices.

But …why?

If Uber takes a cut from drivers, their interests should be the same.

Regulation, of course, slows its growth, but there's also another reason:

Drivers compete - but Uber makes the same commission regardless of who picks you up.

Uber makes more money with more drivers.

But drivers want the opposite - less competition.

They look like other platform-vendor relationships - Amazon and its sellers, Apple and app developers,

Both of which need their vendors - if YouTube leaves the app store, Apple can't replace

it.

But drivers are drivers - Uber needs them - but no one in particular; they're disposable.

Something like 96% stop driving for the company in their first year.

The two seem economically intertwined, but as long as Uber can find more drivers, they

can keep fares unsustainably competitive with rivals.

The real winners of the Haas Act weren't cabdrivers, who couldn't afford million

dollar medallions, but their owners.

Instead of drivers giving away their first $100 a day to rent a medallion, now it's

25% all day.

For many drivers, it's still a very welcome and useful opportunity, but it isn't quite

the groundbreaking revolution promised.

And it may not last…

On paper, Uber has the perfect business model:

Its huge network of drivers dominate the globe,

but it need not buy a single car or gallon of fuel.

All perk, and no work.

Something thousands of startups desperately try to emulate.

Most of which belong on Flopstarter, with products like the TIMELESS watch, which…

doesn't tell the time.

So how did Uber lose four and a half billion dollars last year?

That's 12 million dollars a day!

Many startups sacrifice profit for growth, But Uber is nine years old.

Facebook made money after two.

The company's biggest problem may not be its legality, or controversy although there's

plenty of that, but basic holes in its business model.

The magic of so many companies is the network effect.

Every new customer makes it that much easier to get another.

You join Facebook because Steve is on it, Kim joins Facebook because you are, and so

on.

For Uber though, this is only regional.

More drivers in New York does nothing for Beijing.

In fact, it failed in all of China.

Every city is a new chicken-and-egg problem:

Drivers need riders before they'll drive, and riders need drivers before they'll ride,

I do not like them, Sam-I-Am.

I do not like green eggs and - oh.

This helps keep prices low, and profits, nonexistent.

It's inescapable and leaves only one path for Uber: self-driving cars.

Remove the driver, remove the money-eating machine.

But it means competing with the technology of Google and the auto-expertise of GM.

Either it'll transform into one of the biggest transportation companies in the world, or,

it'll be the end of the road.

It plans to go public next year.

which'll be fascinating to watch, doubly so if you understand the basics of the stock

market.

3 plant cocktails by Matteo Di Ienno - Locale Firenze - Duration: 8:36.

Good morning, I'm Matteo Di Ienno. We're at Firenze, cocktail bar and restaurant.

Today we're showing you some twists on classics, variants of Italian

classics. The first is a twist on Americano, called

Elisir di Caterina. We're using Italian red vermouth, red bitter,

an artichoke leaf hydrolate, obtained by distilling artichoke

leaves in water and a distilled of artichoke core in alcohol. We're serving it

with lovage, meaning Motti Cress by Koppert Cress, and artichoke leaf.

Let's start by the cutting of ice, a fundamental part of the drink as

it'll cool the drink without diluting it too much. We're using clear ice,

that doesn't contain any gas.

Let's start by adding the alcoholic parts, meaning Italian red vermouth

from Turin, the bitter, a bittering part.

The artichoke distilled, a small part. It's very intense. And the hydrolate, which will

give the dilution to the drink. Let's dilute the drink and cool it. Our

Americano is a carbonated drink, hence sparkling. Instead of adding soda,

we're making the whole drink sparkling by pouring it in a neutral plastic

bottle that will be containing carbon dioxide. Dry ice is nothing

more than solid carbon dioxide, so when it contacts

the liquid, it will melt and release the gas part. As you can see, carbon

dioxide has been released inside the liquid, so a foam creates with

bubbles inside the drink. The drink is now sparkling and ready to be served. We're adding our

lovage, Motti Cress, on an artichoke leaf.

This is our Elisir di Caterina that is usually served in a

bottle, paired with our Motti Cress. For the next drink,

we're showing you a variant on Martini cocktail,

actually on dirty martini, and we call it Not So Dirty. We're using

Italian dry vermouth from Turin, a saline solution, meaning

20% salt diluted in water, london dry gin from Tuscany, extra virgin olive oil

from Tuscany, and our Wheat Grass, wheat cress. First,

we're cutting our Wheat Grass. Let's centrifuge the cress.

Let's now make the fat wash. It's used to aromatize an alcoholic

part with a fat part that we'll later separate by cold filtering.

In this case, here's our Peter in Florence london dry gin and extra virgin

olive oil, Pruneti. We're now moving our preparation in a freezer

for three hours to separate the fat part.

After three hours, our gin was separated from oil, so we're pouring it.

We're adding vermouth, saline solution drops.

We're now adding drops of Wheat Grass that we extracted before.

We're adding ice.

We're stirring the drink to cool and dilute it, as a classic Martini.

To finish our Not So Dirty Martini, we're adding Floregano

by Koppert Cress, that is the oregano flower. Here's our Not So Dirty Martini, a twist

on the classic Martini cocktail. The next drink is Elisir De Mar.

We were inspired by the Mediterranean flavors by re-distilling gin

with Mediterranean aromas, botanicals such as rosemary, sage, basil

and olives. Cuttlefish ink, pear jam, plum tomato, dry vermouth, fresh lime

and we'll serve it with Aria di Mare and Salicornia Cress. Our Mediterranean

gin, cuttlefish ink, pear jam that gives it the

sweet part. Dry vermouth,

fresh lime. Let's shake our Elisir De Mar.

We're serving our drink in this porcelain curl, together with sesame seeds

and our Salicornia Cress.

We're serving it with our Aria di Mare, that is nothing more than liquid salt, fresh

lemon juice and ester sugar, emulsified with an areator. On top of it, it'll give

the drink its sapid part. Here's our Elisir De Mar, that should be

tasted while chewing our Salicornia Cress. The next drink is

Gibson Locale, a variant on the classic gibson. Our ingredients

are Peter in Florence, a gin from Tuscany, Rock Chives, garlic sprouts, water and

sugar and acid. We'll need a vacuum bag

where we'll pour our water and sugar at 50%.

We're adding our garlic cress.

Tartaric and citric acid. The bag will be vacuum sealed. After 4 hours

cooking at a temperature of 52°C in the rohner, we'll obtain this cordial with strong hints

of garlic. The drink is prepared with the throwing technique. We're pouring the

ingredients in the tin. Our cordial. The throwing is a combination of

stirring and shaking. We'll obtain an oxigenation given by the throwing, as if

it was shaken, with the dilution of a stirring, as if it was stir. Balsamic

gel and purple cabbage powder.

We're finishing the drink with our garlic cresses, that we're serving on

the edge of the glass.

DANIELLE: Hi, I'm Danielle from Marketing,

and today I'll be reviewing Absorbine Santa Fe Coat

Conditioner and Sunscreen. I am absolutely obsessed with

this spray, and I love everything about it.

I have a young black horse who sun bleaches really easily

and this spray is a lifesaver. I've used a lot of other

sunscreens in the past to try and prevent Loki's coat

from getting sun bleached and this one by far works the best.

I originally started using this spray when my barn manager

bought it for the barn while we were down in Florida, and now

I love it so much that I use it every day before and after

I ride and I even mix a little bit in with his fly spray

so he can use it when he goes out in turnout, as well.

I also love how soft and shiny this makes him. I've gotten

so many compliments on his coat since I've started using this.

This makes grooming nice and easy because it also repels

dust and I also spray a little bit in his mane and tail to help

detangle and also shine it. Another great thing about

this spray is that it's no slip so I can feel safe about

spraying it on his saddle area, which is good because that's

where he's sun bleaches the most so I spray a lot of it and as an

added bonus it smells great. This spray would be perfect

for anyone looking to protect their horse's coat from the sun

and also give a non-greasy shine. It's especially perfect

for darker horses to help maintain their coat color but I

also use this on my gray horse. I'm Danielle,

This is what I'm photographing today, and

I'm focusing on loving bees, but more

importantly how to photograph them well

while you love them!

Oh that's pretty.

Ok, this light just dramatically changed.

I have to quickly change my setting!

This one's dancing! This one danced... he

like shook himself like a dog, and I'm

dropping my ISO. I want to keep my

shutter speed pretty high, because

they're really fast moving, and I'm

staying at an f/8. One of my main goals is

to get a really clear sharp macro shot.

That will be very challenging to me,

because I think these are terrifying.

Oh man that's the swarmy part.

Oh, I also want to get a shot of all of

these, as many as I can get in in one

shot. Oh this is so pretty.

Hey can you get out of the way? No not you

that guy. So we're going to go out to meet

about 70,000 bees. Bees as many people

know are facing a terrible march to

extinction. There's less and less bees

everywhere, and there are a huge pivotal

part of our entire tire ecosystem, and

how long we've been doing backyard

bee keeping? Is that what you call it

backyard beekeeping?

Okay hobbyist. Okay. This is the sixth season.

Do you think it'll be okay to get

close enough to do macro shots where

it's right on the bee.

I hope so.

I'm going to have two cameras on me.

The one is the D850, with the macro lens which

is again what I'm trying to go for. The

105mm f2.8 macro lens. The other one is the

D500, and I'm going to attach to it the

24-70mm f/28. The reason I'm going to be

shooting with the D500, is it's a crop

sensor, which combined with the 70 mm,

allows me to get even closer

than that in terms of the reach I'll have.

It does blur your vision a bit huh?

Yep okay, I'm going to keep my shutter speed

up, because I don't know how fast these

guys will be moving. I feel like I've got to get

very close to get a macro. So I don't

want to bring a tripod in here because

I'm afraid it's going to make me look like

a bear if I'm this close.

The one thing I'm noticing is that I

have to do a bit of pre-focusing, which

is not easy for macro shooting, but

they're just so fast-moving. I kind of

got to figure out where they're going to be

and get ready. Say wait, this one's a good

one, right on the honey, good job!

Oh they like on me particularly? Or is

that just me!

it normally does in a macro, the closer

you get to a subject, the more narrow

your aperture needs to be. Because the

closer and closer you get, the less is in

focus. You get their eyes and everything,

but this time I want to get a macro,

where there's one bee, like on top, but a

wider field of focus, so other ones are

clearly in the shot as well. Macro is a

one-to-one, which affords me the ability

to get so close, that I can fill the

entire frame with just one bee.

Oh I just got the shot. So what I'm gonna do here,

because I want to go in and really show

that nest of awesomeness.

I'm going to shoot it at f/16.

I want to keep my shutter speed over at

least 1/200ths, which is a little

low for my preferences here, but that

said, because I'm going deep in there, and

it gets really dark in there,

I really boost my ISO up, so I'm going to

boost it to like a 5,000th.

I'm going to bring

it down to one 1/60th, and then

just bring that aperture down to f/14.

That's a cool shot, so the, my thought is,

I have them all going up and I want to

shoot a little bit down at them. Oh this

is it, this is it, wait, wait, wait, don't

move anything, this is the angle! I wanted to

get that shot in there and I got it.

A couple of my most favorite shots, one

is that whole look at where the entire

frame is covered in a multitude of bees.

I thought that was a very cool shot. I

tried to get it at a mirror aperture so

to show more texture, and more of the

overall feel of looking at that many

bees together, and another one was just

a beautiful macro, with those iridescent

wings, when the lights hit perfectly. As

well as that beautiful honeycomb look,

was really striking.

Day 14: No-One Turned Up To The Gym, Fitness Motivation? - Duration: 7:41.

Hi members its day 14 of the 90-day health and well-being journey and

It was a 5:30 session. So you'd think that

people would be leaving work and they would head on over to the gym and

she pushes you and it was like that boot camp that I talked about last week and

That left me a bit high and dry with what to do. So I ended up just

We know the importance of mindset and mindset development may leaning over here because that sums quite bright

we know the importance of developing your mindset personal growth personal development and

we make it as part of our routine as part of our regime and

You know we might miss a few

Yeah

but we do schedule it and we make it as part of what we do every single day and

I was just a bit surprised that you know, there is always a shift here

Apparently once the weather turns really really good

I can sort of understand because the the winters here are very very harsh

the gyms are full in the winter here and

So when the when the good weather arrives, then people are wanting to be out and about in the hotter weather

So anyway, it was a shame

However, I'm still on track. I'm still on target

I burnt in one hour of the Machine and having an incline and I was sitting at about 3.8

I burnt about

370 calories so that's pretty amazing. So when you add that to my

1320 calories that I'm allowed every day that takes it up to what 16 90 calories

So that's quite a good amount of food to eat

I don't think I will hit that at all, and I'm usually staying well under that

That 13 20 plus the exercise that I do so the exercise makes the difference with what you can actually the calorie intake

You know what it is. You can eat through the day and just to make sure that you're feeling full

I don't like the protein powder that much there's too much that has to go into your food

It's a massive scoop and I find it very very very sweet

They've sweetened it with stevia. I can see on the label

Even though it's a natural plant product

It's still extremely sweet and I don't want to be sprinkling it on everything and just become accustomed to this sort of sweet

Develop a sweet tooth. So

I put one tablespoon

In my oatmeal in my oats my rolled oats

This afternoon before I went to the gym

And I measured it out once scoop is actually five tablespoons, and that's just way too much for me to sort of consume

I'm going to try the chocolate one tonight. That was the vanilla protein powder

I'll try the chocolate one and just maybe make up a treat with water. So just do water and

the

Chocolate protein powder it just sort of psychologically goes against everything when you're actually adding chocolate you feel like you're adding chocolate to your diet

but I need the protein that you need to consume quite a bit of

Beans or meat to get your daily requirement of protein. So that's the important piece

So I'll try the chocolate protein powder tonight

I'm behind with optimizing I keep saying to everyone just make sure you dedicate 20 minutes when you upload your video to

So I'm a little bit behind so I'm catching up on those videos also

I created a video today which when I was with Claudia, I wanted to show Claudia what I do with video Q and

it's my way of optimizing those videos and so go and take a look at that and

It shows you what to do in those 20 minutes when you upload that video

Diana I find that chocolate protein powders taste better, but I like chocolate. So do I

So do I so it might be a better choice? So I'm going to open that up tonight and just mix it with water

I might I was even thinking I might even put some frozen strawberries with it

in the

nutribullet and

See what that does see if there and that could be a nice treat

Because I'm not treating myself to anything like desserts or anything. So I think that might be a good idea just to say to myself

Psychologically, well, you know, I'm gonna have a treat and make it the chocolate protein powder

I think I'll just put frozen strawberries in it and just

Whip that up and see what that comes out like because I'm finding the vanilla one very overpowering and very very sweet

Everything's on track day 14. So we're two weeks into the 90-day health and well-being challenge. I'm feeling good. I'm feeling healthy

I like what my diet consists of. I know that I'm focusing on protein

I'm gonna have shrimp salad tonight Oh actually no, I'm gonna have shrimp

I've got the shrimp out which is high in protein and I've got a a

Tuscan vegetable soup, so I'm actually going to heat up the Tuscan vegetable soup

And I'm going to put the grilled prawns or shrimp as it's called here in America

The grilled shrimp in with the tusks and vegetables. So I think that will be really really good and low in calories

very low

So that's my share everyone and keep on track everyone

Keep at it and we're two weeks into the journey and everyone's doing awesome

Hey are you trying to grow your business maybe even grow personally or grow in

your sales, but you're struggling to generate the results you really want? In

Alright so we're all trying to achieve goals in our life. Maybe you're trying to grow your

business, grow your sales, even grow personally. In today's video I want to

share with you guys what I've learned over years of trying to grow businesses,

years of trying to even grow personally. You know we all face in our

life where we get into ruts, maybe you're in one right now, where you're down and

out, you're depressed because you're not generating the results you want. What

I've really realized is one of the keys to success is your focus. Where you focus

is where your energy is gonna be, your passions gonna be, and that's gonna

dictate your results. And want to share with you guys three things to think

about to help guide your focus to generate the results you want.

So, first point is are you focused on your past, your present, or your future?

See so many of us focus all of our energy on our past. Maybe it's trying to

relive the glory days of high school or college, or maybe you're focused on the

regrets that you have. That you didn't choose the right school to go to, or you

didn't choose the right job. That's not going to generate the results you want.

And then also when you think about your future, it's great to focus on your

future, but the trap that you'll fall into is you'll spend all your time

dreaming of where you want to be and no time and execution. See, you want to focus

on your future to set your vision, but then focus on the present to drive

results. What can you do today to drive results to help get you to that goal

that you want to achieve. And that really leads me to the second point. The second

point is make sure you're focusing on revenue generating activities. If you're

a REALTOR®, an insurance agent, a financial advisor, make sure in your business what

you're driving towards are revenue generating activities. Do things that

only you can do and pass off everything else. The third point is don't chase

every shiny object that comes your way. The number one mistake I see in REALORS®,

insurance agents, financial advisors, when you're new to this

business what happens is every new lead platform that gets presented to you,

every new coaching opportunity, every new business model, you tend to jump on that

bandwagon. And you spend time, money, and energy. And all of a sudden your

defocused, you're not committed, and you're not getting the results you want.

Don't chase every shiny object that comes your way. Focus, commit. If you

choose a platform, commit to that lead platform for 90 days. Be committed. Put

your focus there, put your energy there, and then measure the results. So there

you have it guys one of the keys to business that I've learned in my life

over growing a multi-million dollar business is it really comes down to

where is your focus. Because your focus will drive the energy, passion, and time,
