Building a Drying Rack for Vegetables - The Project List - Our Wyoming Life - Duration: 10:52.

Hi I'm Mike.

Although its haying season here on the ranch, we still are at the mercy of the weather and

a half of inch of rain that fell last night has stalled out haying for another day, the

grass is too wet to cut this morning but we can't waste anytime and we always keep projects

in our back pocket for days just like today.

Today we get to build a new drying rack for Erins vegetables and hopefully surprise her

and gain some brownie points on the project list.

On our Wyoming life.

In a perfect world, today I would be out here, working on haying.

Cutting, raking and baling.

Stockpiling the hay that will be the cows feed for the winter.

But rain overnight has created a delay in that process.

Cutting wet grass will clog our mower and will dull sickle blades so this morning we

are going to let it dry naturally for a few hours, and while we wait for that to happen

we are going to head into the shop and work on a project that I have had in my mind for

a few months, one to surprise Erin with and hopefully make her life a bit easier when

it comes time to wash vegetables for farmers market.

Erin harvests tons of vegetables each year from the gardens and high tunnels and takes

all of that to our local farmers market to sell to our local customers.

Its part of the diversification of the ranch, we cant count on cows alone to support the

operation and everything we do, from farmers market, vegetables, beef and pork to youtube

is part of that diversification.

As we grow, time becomes more and more important.

They always say land is very important because they aren't making anymore of it, we for

me the same goes for time.

There are only 24 hours in a day, you have to sleep sometime, you have to spend time

with your family and anything we can do to make work go faster is worth it.

Everything Erin harvests from the gardens needs to be washed, after it is washed it

is usually placed on a table to dry until it is refrigerated in preparation to take

to market I call anything that takes time that could

be spent better a time sucker and drying vegetables seems to fall into that category, it can slow

the process down but we have a solution.

Bassically what we are going to be building is a table.

That table will have two levels to it.

An upper level that is going to house two fans that will blow straight down, below that

will be a level with a mesh grate or screen that the vegetables can rest on while they

are drying and the water will drain through.

We will add some casters to make sure the thing is easy to move around and we will be

done.

A quick and simple build, for which I have neither the fans, lumber or casters for.

So that calls for a trip to town, and a 20 minute drive to home depot.

This whole project is just in my head, I haven't done any research online about what kind of

fans to use or how to build it.

In hindsight, that might have been a good thing to do but we are committed now so lets

just see what we come up with.

First things first we need the fans, the size and shape will dictate the rest of the rack

and luckily these 20 inch fans are on sale, along with the fans we will need a switch

to turn them off and on and a small powerstrip should work just fine for that.

When it comes to casters, I'm not quite sure how much this thing will weigh but its

only going to be rolling around on concrete in the shop, so 2 inch casters will be perfect.

Elsewhere we find our grate to use on the vegetable level, and then we just need lumber.

A majority of this framework will be built out of 2x4s, so we will grab a few of them.

Any extras will be used around the ranch eventually so I'm not afraid to grab more than I need.

With around 100$ spent and everything loaded up, we can head back home.

Where hopefully the grass is drying nicely and were able to get into the field this afternoon,

but not until we get this thing built and working.

The size of this thing is going to be based of the size of these fans, now that I look

at it, I should have gotten three and made a bit bigger table but that's ok.

We will call this a proof of concept and make sure it works.

After getting some measurements a majority of the work on this rack will be done on the

saw, cutting boards to length and then screwing them together to make the frame for the fans.

They are going to be held in place by making a shelf using 1x4 material, cut and placed

around the frame.

With the fans in place, we now build the lower shelf for the veggies to rest on, basically

the same way.

I never said this was going to be complicated but here we sometimes have to worry about

function long before we worry about form.

The metal screen, used because it can be sanitized, is going to be held in place using screws

and washers The excess is cut off.

Figuring out how tall to make the table is a bit of a trick but we are going to go for

about a 40 inch table top, making it easy to not only load but unload once the veggies

are dry.

Our legs are cut, and screwed into place.

Then we can stand it up.

To make sure everything stays square I'm going to add supports on the bottom and then

its time for caster wheels to go in place.

Electrical is next and I don't know about you but I hate attaching power strips to wood,

they always have those few holes in the back that you have to get lined up perfect, therefore,

I am a fan of Velcro for these types of applications.

And there we go, the powerstrip is on.

Up out of the way of any moisture and easy to get to.

After a quick test, everything seems to work and we can get the surprise ready for Erin.

I have been working hard to keep her out of the shop this morning and a sheet should make

for a nice reveal.

Now get Erin over here.

With that done, we move on to our task that is really pressing on us and that is haying.

I'll hopefully be in the tractor for weeks to come to get it all done.

My Son's Subaru STI Just Got a Lot FASTER! Cobb Access Port & What's Your Driving Style? - Duration: 7:05.

I haven't driven (my son's) Subaru STI in a long time!

Since the last time I drove it we have made a bunch of improvements.

Coilovers, wheels, etc....

We've done a bunch of stuff but still got more to do to this car.

One other thing we've done is set up the Cobb Tuning Access Port.

I wonder if Cobb is popular in Japan too??

This is the first time I'm driving the car since we added this Cobb port.

The car feels faster than it was for sure!

It's more responsive and engine seems to wind up faster too!

It feels great!!

It really pulls hard now!

Wow!! This is amazing!

I never knew what kind of benefits something like this could give.

It's been on the car for 2-3 weeks now...

The Real Reasons Skyscraper Bombed At The Box Office - Duration: 4:34.

We regret to inform you that Skyscraper has collapsed.

Pitched as "Die Hard meets The Towering Inferno," the Dwayne Johnson-led action movie premiered

to a significantly lower-than-expected financial reception, coming out of its first weekend

in third place at the box office.

As a result, the would-be franchise starter will be lucky to make its money back, much

less spark a new series.

More likely than not, you can forget about a sequel already.

So why is this disaster movie proving to be such a… disastrous movie?

Could the Rock's star be fading?

Is the movie actually that bad?

Let's tally up the numbers and figure out the real reasons Skyscraper couldn't stand

tall at the box office.

What's the damage?

According to a breakdown by The Hollywood Reporter, Skyscraper only managed a domestic

total of $25.5 million in its opening weekend.

The unexpectedly small take falls below Universal's projected opening of $30 million or more.

Against a budget of more than $125 million and a marketing budget of at least half that,

those numbers are a pretty poor showing, one which Box Office Mojo predicts will translate

into a $65 to $75 million domestic total.

Since these projected earnings wouldn't even cover half of Skyscraper's total cost, that

leaves a huge deficit to bridge in the international market, just for the sake of breaking even.

But with only $40.4 million coming in from the movie's global audience on opening weekend,

the chances of even that happening are looking vanishingly small.

I think I've seen this

If Skyscraper feels too familiar to be all that interesting, that's actually partially

by design.

Prior to the movie's release, Johnson described the movie on his social media as "a film that

paid homage and respect to the classic action movies that inspired me and entire generations

- Die Hard to Towering Inferno to The Fugitive."

The thing about those classic action movies is not just that we've seen them before, but

that we've also already seen them all get ripped off.

We've seen Cliffhanger, we've seen Speed, we've seen Daylight - and they all feel a

lot like Skyscraper.

So as much as Johnson and the movie's producers would like to praise Skyscraper as a modern

classic, it's not a quality that feels all that earned.

It doesn't help that Skyscraper comes off as feeling similar to some of Dwayne Johnson's

other recent movies, from San Andreas to Rampage to even The Fate of the Furious.

But that's not this movie's problem - that speaks to issues with the movie's marquee

star.

Over-exposed

Over a 14-month span starting in April 2017, Dwayne Johnson has been a lead star in five

different movies, including Baywatch, Jumanji, and now Skyscraper.

The avalanche of content shows no signs of stopping, but it might already be bringing

in diminishing returns.

In short, Johnson has opened himself up to the possibility of serious overexposure.

With no less than ten movies potentially coming down the pipeline for the actor, you'd have

to be crazy not to think that we're at risk of some serious Rock fatigue.

If it can happen to Star Wars, it can happen to the People's Champion.

Could Skyscraper's failure inspire Johnson to tone down the full-court press?

Maybe.

After all, how is the country ever going to elect him president if everyone's burned out

on his movies?

The competition

Whatever its own faults may be, Skyscraper was also outmatched at the box office by more

critically acclaimed competition.

On one side, there's Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, another entry in the Adam

Sandler-starring animated series about Dracula and friends.

That family-friendly sequel won the weekend with $45 million, easily trouncing Skyscraper's

debut showing.

In second place, there's Ant-Man and the Wasp, with nearly $29 million.

According to both Rotten Tomatoes scores and Cinemascores, people walked out of these two

movies feeling satisfied, and ready to spread some positive word of mouth.

To its detriment at the box office, Skyscraper is proving more divisive, and without good

word of mouth behind it, things are only going to get worse from here.

So does Skyscraper really deserve this belly-flop of a reception?

Well, yes and no.

Put simply, Skyscraper is not the kind of appointment viewing that makes you want to

And then I answered the phone from my ex

He ended up at my house, we started arguing,

So after I call the police, we were still arguing,

and he said something that just ticked me off

and then I just smack the (beep).

(smacks face)

Forgetting that the police was even there,

like I just went blank.

- Like in front of the cop!

Yo, she got balls!

- I mean they ran through the (beep) door

with the SWATs, the tear gas, and everything.

So I'm in the cop car and the cop is like

asking me questions like "Where are you from?"

"What do you do?"

(sighs) Asking me about my ex, and I'm like,

"Don't ask me about him. This is about me."

Like, when is it ever about me?

I'm in this car about to be locked up,

I'm in handcuffs.

So don't ask me about him.

I had no makeup on, okay?

I was literally just chilling, in my house,

so I didn't look like this.

And sure enough, the story ended up all over TMZ.

(funky music) (camera flashes)

- The first thing I thought was,

"Her mug shot looks good! She looks really cute!"

We actually broke the story that she got arrested.

It got us a lot of clicks.

- They had a lot of craziness before that.

There was a video that surfaced,

it was all over The Shade Room, TMZ,

he was actually like begging and pleading

for all the sorries in America,

y'all know how it is when like they do you so wrong

and they try to show the world they doing right.

She wasn't buying it.

- My ex bonded me out though.

It's good with that, I was in there for six hours or less.

- I mean she wasn't in like long enough

to get a tattoo teardrop or nothing, so.

- I'm thinking that he's about to pick me up,

you know, in this lavish car, with the extravagant flowers

or whatever, and it was the bill bondsman.

- (laughs) I can't.

I can't, I can't.

- You know, it was definitely a learning experience.

I don't wish Gel on anybody, you know.

Gel is not for somebody like this, you know?

All of this.

- Althea's kind of fabulous, honey.

She probably was like, "I am gonna need

my soap carved in a different shape."

- When Althea hit the block, I'm pretty sure

that she was getting peeped out.

- Althea's cellmates were probably, maybe,

a little bit surprised that she was in there

with them, but she has done reality TV,

so we know that she is about that life.

So they probably weren't that surprised.

- When she hit the compound, they were probably

very enamored and offering to do her hair and stuff.

- She need to stay out of jail also because

she might get laid low and spread out wide too

'cause she's cute.

- Actually some of the girls that I met,

they actually still write me.

I sent them a couple dollars.

You just never know when you need a friend.

It's hard out here.

There is a high potential for you to be

- My best advice to any celebrity that ends up

having a bad day and getting arrested,

I would say, you know, if you wear a wig,

a lace, and all that stuff, make sure it's detachable,

because you cannot have fake hair in jail.

When you do your mugshot you try to have a beat face,

make sure you have your shades on when you come

out of jail so TMZ doesn't get you looking crazy.

- I don't think that Althea's career was really

affected by the fact that she was arrested.

I feel like like it may have

made her a bit more interesting.

hey guys welcome back to the lazy tech guys it is Monday and we were releasing

a video for you guys if you guys want to see more videos than just once a week

clearing your cache in your Google ads so I was going to extend on that a

little bit further today with a review over this app cache cleaner well

farmer charmer farmer Joe he might be a charmer right on a farmer Joe already did a very

good video on this so I'm not going to go into a great detail but I will leave

the link down to that video in the description so we set this up pretty

much the same way that one tap on settings the fresh start on and a 1 hour

intervals I will mention with some of our phones we may drop this down if we

see were having issues so quick refresher of what we're doing with that

however what we are talking about today is this app called auto start

this app will allow you to start applications upon startup with a non

rooted devices so it's very easy to set up you do have to set up specifically if

you don't it will not work basically we got to turn it on you have to add your

apps so we have the app cleaner on startup so it clears our phones in a

minute it boots up and starts that we do our TeamViewer host so that this is not

always necessary because the hosts typically will reload on its own

sometimes it does not and this just kicks it in if it's re

loaded the program will just skip on over it and then we have it load our yo

beat so it runs through and does ease so now the next thing is when you by

default that is this is set to zero if you leave this as zero one or two it

will not work or it does not work on any of our phones we did have found the

magic number to be a three second delay which seems to be more like a 30 second

delay but you know so in between each app you need

a little bit of space to do this we always have it show the notifications

because you'll see when it's coming up up at the top you'll see it in opening

apps it'll message you and you want to

uncheck go home after auto start if you do not do this then it will just return

back to your home screen and nothing will be running the way you want it to

so this is how you set it up very quick and easy so

you just hit okay and boom now what we're gonna do is we're going to restart

this phone ah hold on guys let me start my camera cuz I want to put this up in

the top right for you as well so here we go we are going to do this on camera we

are going to restart the phone if it will cooperate with me

if I can hold the button down there we go so we're gonna restart the phone

so you can see it restart so you can see what happens here

go through his typical start and reboot processed I'm gonna

stop right here and I'm gonna kind of speed this up just a little bit so we

don't have to sit and wait on it but I will leave the camera rolling and just

speed that up so we'll be right back

okay guys you can see that the phone is rebooted now here's the part that I

never like it's the waiting part waited on the application to actually do

something we can see that we are trying to reconnect here now on the server

we'll see if it connects if not we'll go ahead and get that to reconnect here in

just a second but you can see the app is going in fact I don't care if it Rika

next we want to show you in the top right I am not touching the phone in any

way shape form or fashion and it does like I said it seems like it

takes forever for this thing to start but once it starts I think you guys will

be duly impressed and you will want to put this on your non-rooted apps to help

with some leniency tomorrow I plan on talking about what we've done with the

phone form of the changes that we've made thus far

we have made a few changes since our last update video so we're gonna do that

to morrow as well so make sure if you have it subscribe to us that you do

subscribe so you can get that updated video oh let's see here we're still

waiting like I said it's a it's a it's a patience game the way that I do these is

I reboot them all and I'm pretty much just walk away from them for just a

minute and see what it does and you typically they will all just take off on

their own and I show like I said it seems like it takes forever for this

thing to go but it has to load all its operations before this program will take

off and do anything so again we're going to sit here and

wait for it and once we do that we'll let you know and yeah I'm gonna kill

that that server because you're just gonna have blank Mouse I'm killing the

server because yeah I rebooted the phone and this is a non rooted phone so it

won't automatically reconnect

and watch these things gonna make a fool of me

I tested this before I did it seriously tested it right

before I put the camera on this thing so of course now that we got the camera

running up here

the camera rolling it's uh

not going to do anything

feel stupid there we go see I said see oh just seems like it takes forever it

just takes a long time but it does actually save you time in the fact that

you run through all your phones by the time you get back I go sit down do what

I'm doing and you can see its role in scrolling through

yep doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo boom there's no TV and no TV likes to take

off on its own I'm sure you guys know that

mmm looky there guys hands-free phone starting didn't do anything but

restarted the phone I thought you guys would appreciate seeing this I hope you
