Hi, everyone, today we're going to talk about
the blockchain protocols we use inside Moeda's ecosystem.
So, it's important to first give a general overview
and why we are making certain choices.
Moeda's needs are based on consortiums, integrations
interdependencies between different fronts,
such as relationships with banks, cooperatives
and with cooperative members.
Moreover, the project's globalization creates the need
for dealing with different protocols.
Absolutely. We're focusing more on finding a solution
rather than having to work with a specific protocol.
We started with Ethereum;
we used it to raise the funds, our ICO.
However, we noticed that it would be expensive
to use it inside our ecosystem,
so, we went after some alternatives.
The events of the projects,
from beggining to end,
are currently recorded in Hyperledger Fabric.
So, we looked for the best-fit solution
that would address both situations.
How can we find a good but cheap combination,
that is also ultra fast,
since we'll need a lot of processing power to handle all the data?
And since we'll be handling a large mass of data,
we needed to find the best solution.
Also, since the token is basically
an internal means of payment, it's a payment transaction,
and we want to have this cost efficiency
and this high adherence to Hyperledger
in which the events are being generated,
what would be the best solution?
Our team felt that, at this present time,
we had to choose the Stellar protocol,
specially because of these interactions with banks,
which is exactly what we want:
to improve and give another meaning to the means of payment
to Moeda as whole, what it is, to all currencies, as a whole.
Absolutely. Stellar fits perfectly well
when we talk about interactions and micro payments.
We've been doing tests and we've concluded,
time after time,
that Stellar fits our ecosystem perfectly well
when working with both Hyperledger and Ethereum protocols.
For instance, Stellar's cost per transaction is nearly zero:
00001.
Its transaction time ranges from 3 to 5 seconds.
Ethereum, on the other hand, has a delay of 10 minutes.
Ethereum's cost per transaction depends on its gas price variations,
which is very high at the moment,
incurring in higher operating costs.
There's also a concern about CO2 emissions,
due to high energy consumption.
This has an impact on the transaction value
and on the computer power we're using.
It has to be eco-friendly and reduce CO2 emissions.
We believe that by having a shorter smart contract
for an operation that makes more sense for Moeda's business model,
we'll have total adherence using Stellar,
and, mainly, ensure token stability,
backed by the Brazilian currency.
So, all these benefits assured us
that we were making the right choice.
Absolutely. And the MDABRL token,
which is the motive for using Stellar,
aims to be at parity with all funds:
the Revolving Fund, that will provide the funding,
the Technical Assistance Fund,
that will offer mentoring and technical assistance,
and also a Fund to mitigate risks.
They will be monitored and they will be at parity with the MDABRL token.
In order for that to happen in a stable manner,
and pegged to the Real at parity, we opted to go for Stellar.

Powering Up the Family SUV in the 2018 Audi SQ5 | Edmunds - Duration: 8:30.

ELANA SCHERR: It's big on the inside
and small on the outside.
This is the Audi SQ5.
The 2018 Audi SQ5 has to meet a lot of expectations.
Because it's an Audi, it needs to be luxurious.
Because it's a Q5, people are going
to expect it to be a fun, small crossover.
Because it's an S model, you're going to want performance.
Today we're going to take it out and see if it
meets all those expectations.
The S in SQ5 means that it's the sporty version.
And rather than a four cylinder like in the Q5,
it has a six cylinder with a turbo.
And it's an excellent engine, very smooth.
It sounds good and has a ton of power on tap--
354 horsepower-- and they bumped up the torque for 2018.
It's more than 360.
The three liter turbo in the Audi
is backed by an 8 speed automatic transmission.
That's the only option that you can get,
but they work really well together.
The transmission is great about keeping the turbo engine
in its best powerband, no matter how quick you're going,
which gives you a lot of power just right off throttle,
especially if you're in some of the more dynamic driving modes.
And it is excellent power.
I mean, it's really a fast car.
This is an all wheel drive vehicle,
but it's a little bit rear weighted,
meaning that it drives a little more like a rear wheel drive
car which is nice.
It gives it that performance feel of the back end kind
of pushing the car forward.
The SQ5 has a ton of different options for the driving modes.
It has a normal driving mode, a comfort mode--
which I'm not a huge fan of.
I feel like it's a little bit like a jelly filled marshmallow
when you're in comfort.
It's definitely soft, though.
You don't feel any bumps in the road.
And then it has two off road all road
modes, which lifts the vehicle up and are
for light off-roading.
One mode that the Audi has that isn't a mode
that you see all the time is called auto.
And what that mode is supposed to do
is adjust to your driving style.
So if you're going slow or if the road's really bumpy,
theoretically it would be more in a comfort mode.
If you were on a curvy road and it
could tell you were really kind of getting on it a little bit,
it would tighten everything up.
And it's supposed to do that automatically.
I didn't notice it really responding to what I was doing,
but it might need more dramatic inputs.
I tend to be a pretty consistent driver, which is maybe always
a little too fast if you ask my husband.
There's a custom mode where you can go in and set what you
like about the different modes.
So say you like the marshmallow suspension
but you want the steering to be tight--
I don't know why you would want that combination,
but maybe you do--
you can do that.
More likely is maybe you like the comfort mode,
but you like the sound and the shifts of the dynamic mode.
So you can go in and get that louder engine
growl and a little bit tighter shifts.
To talk about handling in SUVs is something
that a few years ago probably none of us
thought we would be doing.
But now there's all these sort of compact SUVs and crossovers,
which are really more like cars.
So they're not huge.
It's not unreasonable to expect them to handle more like a car,
and some of them do.
In particular, the SQ5 is an excellent handling machine.
It really goes around the corners
exactly where you want it to.
It's very predictable.
You can get it into a setting where you really
don't feel any body roll.
You have no idea that you're sitting up high.
Every time that you choose a bigger car,
you're taking on a responsibility.
Everything about a larger car requires more distance,
more time to get up to speed, more time
to get down from speed, more time to make a turn.
And this car gives you a lot of confidence
that it is going to react exactly when you need it
to so it's not going to take a long distance to stop
if there's an emergency situation.
The brakes are excellent, and in particular on the SQ5
the brakes are larger than on the Q5.
From the inside of this car you might
think that the outside was huge and that you'd
have a lot of trouble turning it around,
but it's actually got a very small exterior and a very tight
turning radius.
Bam.
No problem.
I feel like a lot of times I'll get into a vehicle expecting
it to be huge inside, and it's small on the inside
and large on the outside.
And that's kind of a disappointment
both in usefulness and also in driveability.
This car is the opposite.
It's like Mary Poppins' purse or something.
It's really big in here, really roomy.
You can fit a lot of stuff.
I think the back seats are very comfortable.
The cargo space isn't the most that you can get in this class,
but it's certainly enough for me.
It's a pleasant surprise to be having fun driving
on a mountain road in an SUV.
Normally in a truck, I'd be like, ah.
Do I need to pull over?
Is there someone behind me?
Are they going too fast?
Am I going too slow?
After driving this, I would never
be satisfied with the regular Q5.
The SQ5 starts at about $55,000, and at that price
I think you're getting a lot for the money.
But you can add options and build it up really fast,
and this exact car is $68,000, which, in my opinion,
is a little bit more money than the car that you're getting.
One of the selling points for the Q5 is the interior,
and the SQ5 takes that to another level
by adding even more great materials and also
some sporty trim options.
A lot of these are very customizable,
so if you're not into carbon fiber there's wood options.
There's brushed metal things.
You can really make this car exactly how you want it to be.
And one of the things that I thought about when I first
got in this car was that it reminded me
of high fashion accessories.
There's a lot of different materials,
and they all work together to give
a general feeling of being much higher end and much more
built to spec.
Overall, I love the interior in this car.
My only gripe would be a couple of spots on the door panel
where I feel like it's a little inconsistent.
For example, it's got this nice brushed metal here
and the optional carbon fiber and the leather here,
but right here, the door pull where you actually
spend time touching the car is hard plastic.
Nothing on it at all, and I think
that's sort of a weird choice.
The rest of the interior, though, is glorious, especially
if you spend the extra money for the optional red pleated
leather seats, which my husband said were like a low rider.
But he meant that as a compliment.
In the front you've got a ton of room.
It's super comfortable.
You'll never feel cramped.
And the rear seats are very generous as well.
You'd have to be extremely tall to have
any complaints about them.
I feel like SUVs of this size are kind of like starter family
cars.
You could absolutely have a baby.
You could have a dog.
You could take it out for date night
when it's just the two of you.
You could drive it as a daily to work and not
feel especially wasteful, but it's not big enough
to have a huge family, or if you're doing
a whole lot of activities.
The SQ5 has an optional digital dash,
and that's something that a lot of people
are very excited about right now.
It's new technology.
It's very impressive and flashy.
It's also very expensive.
That might be something that's worth it to you
to have the map in here and to have it all be customizable.
I think it's distracting.
I'd rather be looking at the road
and know that if I need something,
it's all going to be in the center console.
The other thing that happens with having
the digital dash and all of the stuff that would normally
come in the regular Q5, there's a lot
of redundancy in the controls.
You can get to the map on the steering wheel.
You can get to the map here.
You can get to the air conditioning
from multiple places.
And once you have it figured out,
it's not the worst thing in the world.
But it's easy to get confused and not
remember how you got there in the first place.
Standard in the SQ5 is the giant sunroof,
which opens and really adds to the sense of space
that you have in the car.
It really brightens up the interior,
even if you don't get the bright red seats.
The pros of this car are the very fashionable interior
and the huge amount of space that you
have inside it compared to the exterior of the car.
I really think that that's something
where if you're going to be spending a lot of time
in a car, you want the interior to be comfortable
and you want to like the way it looks.
Overall, I had a great time in this car.
I think it stands out from the pack in terms of style,
and it has a lot of fun to drive.
It was able to do everything that I wanted,
from quick driving to carrying stuff around for the weekend.
And it was big enough to be comfortable but small enough
to park easily no matter where I was going.

Cutting Delrin/POM and Plywood on an 80w Chinese Lasercutter - Duration: 19:04.
So I bought some wood and some plastic material online.
To test them out on my laser cutter and first I have to figure out the right settings for them.
So let's go into the LaserCad. I'm going to make five boxes.
And each box will have different settings. So I will know what's the best for the wood material.
Now let's select draw rectangle.
And then change it to 20mm.
And then let's go to tool. Array clone, let's make 5 of them.
Offset 2.
So now we have 5 of them.
Now let's select the first one.
Let's go to layer option. Let's choose cut. Maximum power let's try 80%.
And minimum power 70%. For speed, let's start from 100%.
And click ok.
Now let's select the second box and change the color to blue.
So that I know which one is which one, so I know the setting.
Let's choose cut and also maximum power 80%, minimum power 70%.
Basically now we're just changing the speed.
From my last experience I think the speed has an effect on the end result.
So let's change it to 80.
And then the next one.
Same maximum power and minimum power. I am just changing the speed.
Susbtracted it by 20. And select the next one.
Ok, now let's double check the settings.
Looks fine. Let's download the document.

Power 40, pressure 50. Let's change the speed to 300.
And the second one is the blue one.
And also change it to engrave.
Now Let's change the power to 35% but the speed remain the same.
So that we know if this is powerful enough.
It is a bit smokey right now.
That's why I close the machine to let the fan blow it out a little bit.
So it turns out great.
The engraving looks great. It's better than the cutting work.
So I'm going to write down the settings.
And I'm going to try these settings on other material too.
So next step I'm going to try out the POM material.
I got this online. People say POM is stronger than acrylic.
So it is going to need more power I think.
But I am going to use the setting I used before first.
But this time I am going to keep the machine close.
Because more power it means more fume.
Some people might want to use PVC. You can't use PVC in the lasercutter.
Because in the process it releases a toxic fume.
It's going be dangerous. So don't do that.
Right now we are just going to try out the POM and see if it works.
My eyes.
It is not the smell, it is the fume that makes my eyes watery.
So it turns out like this. And it didn't go all the way through POM.
But the fume that it releases makes me feel kind of disgusting.
Even the fume smells bad, I got my timer here.
So I am going to set it to 5 minutes.
Before I open the lasercutter.
I think what the heck, I am going to see if it can cut through
I am going to change the speed in LaserCad.
Well, well, well. It cuts through this time.
But I didn't turn up the power. I just change the speed setting.
I lowered the setting from 20 to 4.
So this is 20, 10.
8, 6 and 4. They all went through.
And they look great, I am glad they went through this time.
But the smell I just can't stand it.
I think as long as I keep the lid closed, it will be fine.
I'll figure something to cut. I think maybe some jewelries.
With acrylic or maybe POM, that would be nice.

I did cutting before, it didn't go through. But the layer option is for cutting.
Now we are switching it to engrave and see if it can do it. I don't think it can.
But I am curious.

Step 2: Insert Your DVD Disc, or USB Flash, Or Mount it by using PowerISO.

Once you Insert Follow me What I'm doing.
You want to Open File Explorer from Here. Or Go to Computer and Find the Drive, Mine is D: Drive.
If your Running in Previous Windows, Follow Me to Find the Setup.
WARNING! DO NOT OPEN SETUP.EXE FROM HERE!
YOU WILL GET AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYS YOU MUST BOOT FROM THE INSTALLATION DISC.
This is Why we are going in the Sources Folder.
Open It.
Find Setup.exe from Sources Folder.
Open Setup.exe
Be Sure you have Administrator Permission Access.
If your Admin, Then you can Run.
If your Non Admin, Ask your Administrator Person to Give you Access. If the Administrator Person Says Yes, Then you can't Processed. If the Administrator Person Says No, Then you can't Processed.
Once you Open Setup.exe, Setup will Begin.
Step 3: Follow the Steps for the Setup.
Make sure you Backup your Files Before you continue.
If your Running the Previous Version of Windows, It will ask you for "Get Important Updates for Windows Setup."
You Would Normally Get Updates when you Upgrade Windows.
I Would Recommand "No Thanks" Because we are only going to Install Windows. and we will not being anything with us.
"Select an Operating System You want to Install" Now They are All Ultimate Editions but some have cracks.
STD Means an Standard Installation for Own License Key.
DAZ Means Windows Loader will Be Installed and Activated By Daz.
You Would use that to Activate your Copy Windows if you don't a License Key.
OEM Means It Will Automatically Detect the Manufacturer and Model and the Orginal Equipment, and Activate Windows.
This is what we are going. Select x86 32-Bit for 1GB Ram, Select x64 64-Bit for 2GB Ram.
I'm Selecting x64 64-Bit Because I have 2GB Ram.
Plus this is a Virtual Machine, and I have VMware Drivers are Installed so You will have to Reinstall Drivers.
Once you Selected, Hit Next.
Read the License Terms of the EULA and Accept. EULA Means End User License Agreement.
Select a Type of the Installation.
Don't Upgrade! You will get an Installation Error!
Plus There is no Upgrade Path Support.
Select Custom Only! But this will not Carry Over.
Select a Partition Where you want to Install. If you want to Configure, You must boot from the Installation Disc.
I'm going to Install it on Partition Number 2 which is my Main OS.
Press Next.
A Warning Message Says you are going to Lose your Old Version of Windows and all Files will be Moved to Windows.Old File, You will Access it, but you will not be able to use the old version of windows. press ok and the Installation will Start, It will Take 15 Minutes or 1 Hour or Something.
Sorry for the Blocking Screen...
Now It's going to Install Windows. Your Computer will Reboot a Few Times.
Just Sit and Relax!
Keep In Mind that Copy Windows Files will take longer when you start the Installation from Windows.
At Getting Ready for the Installation (20%) The First Reboot Happens when you start the Installation from Windows. Let's Reboot.
Do not Boot from CD or DVD... Let it boot from the Hard Drive.
If you Reach Windows Boot Manger when you Started the Installation from Windows.
Select Windows Setup to Continue Setup.
At the Bottom is Windows 7.
As you know that this ISO Installation is Windows 8 and 10 Boot Screen.
Don't Worry, It's Still Windows 7.
Second Reboot, Let's Do it.
Don't Boot from CD or DVD...
Now you will See Three Operating Systems.
The 1st is Windows 7 (New)
The 2nd is Windows Setu Rollback.
And the 3rd is Windows 7 (Old)
Select Windows 7 (New)
This Time the Boot Screen is Windows 7 Now!
The 3rd Reboot, And This will Remove Windows 7 (Old) and Replaced Windows 7 (New).
And I'm going to Say it One More Time, Do not Boot CD or DVD and That it! I am Not Saying Again!
As you can See, We have VMware as the Manufacturer and VMware Background! It Might be different then VMware.
Step 4: Configure Your Computer. Now you will not need my Help Because I Need to Configure the Computer.
Select Language County and Region, Time and Currency, and Keyboard Layout. Mine is Canada English.
And This is only Available If you started the Installation from Windows.
Press Next.
Enter Your Username and Computer Name.
Enter your Password (Not Required.)
Review Time and Date.
My Zone is Eastern Time.
Select Location: Home Network, Work Network, Public Network. If your Not Sure, Select Public Network. Mine is an Home Network.
And it will Finalize Settings, BUT... SETUP WILL CONTINUE AFTER THE RESTART.
This is the 4th Restart.
Now We are loging in-- Wait What?
Shuting Down?
That was Weird...
This is the Final 5th Reboot...
Let's Login.
There you Go!
That is the Installation of Windows 7 OEM.

Big news came out of Comic-Con this year: actress Nicole Amber Maines will be joining the cast of the CW's Supergirl as the first transgender superhero, Nia Nal.
This doesn't mark the first time Maines has spent time in the spotlight.
She also made a name for herself after winning a discrimination lawsuit against her school district after being banned from using the girl's restrooms.

She Will Be TV's First Trans Superhero.
At Saturday's Comic-Con, news surfaced that Nicole Maines will become the first trans superhero on television.
Speaking about the role with Variety shortly after the news was announced, Maines said, "I haven't really wrapped my head around it… It feels fitting to say with great power, comes great responsibility.
She went on say, "I'm nervous because I want to do it right.".
Speaking about TV in general, Maines continued, "We can be whoever we want, we can do whatever we want, we can be superheroes because in many ways we are.
We've had trans representation in television for a while but it hasn't been the right representation.".
She Was Featured in the 2016 HBO Documentary 'The Trans List'.
The Trans List, a 2016 documentary, "explores the range of experiences lived by Americans who identify as transgender.
" The HBO documentary featured interviews with many mainstream stars, including Laverne Cox and Caitlyn Jenner.
Maines also played a guest star as a transgender teen in an episode of USA's Royal Pains.
The documentary delves partially into Maines' lawsuit.
She tells Woman In the World that her parents filed a lawsuit against her school after a bodyguard was specifically hired to "ensure she used the staff bathroom.".
Speaking to the outlet, Maines said, "I would get up to go to class to just go to the bathroom and my teacher would have to stop me in front of everybody and tell me to wait for whoever was following me that day… It was really, really humiliating, so it felt really good to know that my parents recognized what was happening and knew that it was wrong.
She Will Star in the Indie Film 'Bit'.
Next, Maines will star in the Indie film Bit.
The show follows Laurel, a teenage transgender girl who "moves to LA and falls in with a gang of intersectional feminist vampires," in the words of Deadline.
The film is written and produced by Brad Michael Elmore.
It is unclear when Bit will be released.
According to Women and Hollywood, it finished filming in Spring 2018 in Los Angeles.
She Is the Subject of the New York Times Book 'Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family'.
Maines is the subject of the New York Times book Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family, written by Amy Ellis Nutt.
Nutt, who covers health and since for The Washington Post, spoke to the Bangor Daily News about the effect she hopes her book has on others.
She said, "I think what I want people to take away from the book is that these people are no different from you… No different from you, from your family, from your sons and daughters, from your mother, your father, your wife, your husband.".
Nutt continued, "And that, therefore, it's universal.
And frankly, this is about love and family coming together to overcome other people's misunderstandings.
It was not a problem in their family; it was a problem with other people.

Nicole was born Wyatt Maines.
Her identical twin brother's name is Jonas.
In a 2015 interview with ABC, Nicole explained that she knew she was trans when she was three.
"Well, I didn't know trans because I didn't know there was a word for it, but I just knew that in my head and my heart that I was supposed to be a girl.".
She continued, "Being a girl just felt right… It felt like that's what I was supposed to be, and I've never looked back.
I've never felt like I made the wrong decision.
I've never felt like I'm doing the wrong thing with my life.
I just knew this is exactly where I'm supposed to be right now.".
Nicole's father, Kelly, says she always knew Nicole was different.
"I didn't know that she was transgender at 3, I just knew she wasn't like the other twin," she explains.
Her father, Wayne, admits the idea of letting go of one of his sons was difficult.
"When the twins were born I had these dreams," he told ABC.
