Video like a movie - LUTS - What they are and how to use - Duration: 10:20.
and then people want to know how to make your videos more cinematic
that's what I'm talking about
Hello everyone, here's Professor Rovian and in this video we'll see how you can
leave your videos looking like a movie but before let's clear up some points
first if you do not capture the image with the least quality
the edition will be much more complicated as you have a good image
the lighting of your scene is a key point.
everything should be properly lit in the right exposure so you have a
scene that you can work on. Third, to edit your
videos you have to have a good program which does not mean that it needs
be expensive, I'm using DaVinci Resolve which is free and the link I'll leave in the
description I highly recommend you download and test to see if it works
on your computer beauty now that it has already clarified these
Let's leave your movie video points
Come on
good people I recorded and chose some scenes for us to use for example
the first thing we're going to do is put the black bars on top and
underneath your video and here we should have attention an important point
these black bars put the image in widescreen format with aspect ratio
or the so-called aspect ratio of 2.39 per 1
this video I have has screen ratio of 1.78 for 1 which is the ratio 16
by 9 and in my case I'm using 1920 resolution by 1080 ie full HD
well all this is too many numbers so let's try to simplify 1920 is the ratio
2.39 so we have to see how much is the
part 1 we do the bill and it has the result that is the height of screens is 803
pixels as it has 1,080 we decrease 803 of the
thousand and eighty and over 277 that we divide by two and reaches 138 or have to take
138 pixels from the top and 138 pixels from the bottom
Let's see how to do this in DaVinci Resolve
Good people, I've been here with DaVinci Resolve open and the first thing we're going to do is obviously to get
some images that I selected and played here within the program
these images are original then exactly how they were recorded
right there is no treatment in this image without any kind of
color change it is exactly as it left the camera recording
so now we have the image that we select it
and here on the side we have the option to transform and just below crop crop
that's where we'll be able to cut out the top and the bottom of our
image then we have top that is the part of
up and the bottom as you remember we had to
make a record of 138 pixels so here at the top we'll take 138
pixels and here on the bottom 138 then see that now this
image is already cropped with the top and bottom bar giving the appearance of 2.39: 1
the others were not done but the same thing
click on the image and make a cutout of 138 on the top and 138 on the bottom
and then we started to give a more cinematic look in our scenes
now let's talk about image processing, in DaVinci Resolve you have several
ways to change colors, saturation tones, and other aspects of your
but I want to show you a way to modify your scene well.
using the LUTS. LUTS stands for look up tables that translate would be something
as a data table and this data will be used to
modify your image we will try to understand this in a way
we can say that the result you want in your
can be achieved by using your original video plus the LUT that you
believe to be the most suitable for your video so let's see how it works in
good practice now is the time for us to apply
LUT then how are you guys going to do you got down here?
the collor option click on it and here if it does not appear
this node you will click here on nodes, it may be that it is so, you click on nodes and it
appears the node of you you right click on it and has the
LUTS option right so far does not have any applied, we need to select a LUT
here then we will have several options I recommend right in this 3d that is where
it will fiddle on the three axes rgb of luts I got some free here but it has
some that already comes with the program so let's go to one that already came with the program
for you guys to have an idea of what you can already work let's get this
here the movie looks that would be a movie aspect can choose anyone to
people will see the result that stays. so see that the scene has already changed
here we go back to the edit edit of who else gets a little bigger and let's run it
ok but how would it be without this fight here I'm going to stay here and you see how
he is always going to come back with this I do not see that it really gives a look
very different from the image if you do not like this one back in color
go in the node right click luts and you can select another one
type and so you can search and look for one that is the color of the
tonality of the aspect that pleases you and you can always compare how
was disabling or enabling this option here
this is the original and this is how we will see in our other video here
with a little more green, again select the video comes color accesses the nodes
right-click luts, we'll get one here, we'll check which one to
difference because it left the yellow a little more yellow and the green itself
also picked up this key let's select another one here that has changed
enough and let's take a look at how it is here we compare one with the
and it has a rather yellowish tone like an old movie.
this is the aspect that you want to give the video of yours then simply suffice
apply this fight to all the other scenes you are editing see that
until the sky turned yellow, let's stop here and get it for you
See the difference how to choose another one. Let's get this rec 709 from kodak.
It's interesting too let's see one for here let's compare. it gets darker in the
part where it gets brighter darkens and it highlights a few more shades
Let's stop here in heaven, let's see how he modified this
white part that was in the background can do some very interesting things
Leave the video just the way you want it. Let's get our last scene click
in it again color accesses the node right button luts and we will choose one
this is the rec709 fujifilm 351 3di d55
Let's see the difference is pretty cool let's see here in the edition let's compare with the
original and that we have seen that it has a great prominence for the
colors including these little white flowers stand out a lot in the video I go
leave for you now the clip by passing some of the luts for you to see
the difference the first is original and then the luts
that I put into each of these parts of these scenes that I recorded, let's
take a look
and then I like it, I'll leave it in the video description for you to download
some extra luts if you want but the davinci solves solves already has
some that you can use quite well yourselves. I would like to highlight now
some points for you to take care when using luts, the first is
that all their original scenes ie the O must be with the same
color pattern ie if you have a scene recorded in the dark one with a light
white and one below for example yellow light and try to apply the same
all these scenes this can get strange mainly
if you put them in a sequence then from now on it's up to you and there
whether you use some adjustment in your videos already knew the luts
comment and remember if you know someone who might be interested in this content
share the video good staff hope to have helped a lot
thank you for your presence a big hug and until the next video

The Truth About YouTuber Rachel Levin - Duration: 4:06.
What started with one makeup tutorial video has became a full-fledged business for YouTube
sensation Rachel Levin.
The star first found her way to YouTube in 2010 and has not looked back.
Today, she's grown her empire and expanded her fame with over 13 million YouTube subscribers,
but there are some things about Levin and her success over the years that you probably
don't know.
Levin's YouTube career began at 15 years old.
She told Adweek that she was watching other beauty tutorials and then replicating them
in the mirror when she did her own makeup.
She added: "I decided that I should just film a video.
So I filmed a how to conceal under-eye circles video, posted it, and didn't think anything
of it."
Awkward!
As Levin's fan base grew and her success continued, she didn't realize that she was becoming famous.
In fact, her first encounter with a fan was awkward because Levin was in a bit of shock.
"I didn't know why they knew me I just saw them looking at me and I thought Oh my God
is something in my teeth, like do I have a stain on my pants?
Oh my God this is so awkward they keep staring at me."
Eventually the two spoke, and Levin was thrilled to realize that people were watching her content
and enjoying it.
For Levin, creating YouTube content is all
about finding inventive topics to share with fans, and it takes work.
Like her video on how bubblegum can be used to make lipstick.
"I bought a lot of bubblegum and I was like testing different ways of melting it and which
bubblegums melt the best and how to like associate it with lipstick."
And while she ended up with a successful video, not all outcomes were good.
"There was a lot of things that were burnt like after the fact my microwave was terrible
there was like gum splatters everywhere it was like gross."
When Levin created her first videos, she wasn't
expecting any recognition to come from it because she just wasn't thinking that far
into the future.
But she was forced to think more about it once everyone at her school found out about
her YouTube page.
It was also the only time she's ever considered shutting down her page, because her classmates
weren't exactly happy for her.
"People were very mean about it for no reason but I'm here they're there so..."
Levin's videos may look effortless, but "effortless"
is far from the word to use when it comes to Levin's dedication to her craft.
"Just in general for one video it'll take like 9 hours to film and 18 hours to edit?
Usually…"
She does recognize that some of that time is because she is a perfectionist.
"I have like slight OCD when it comes to editing I'm like I need to take out that tiny little
millisecond or the entire video is terrible everyone will just hate it."
While it's become a trend over the years for
some YouTube stars to pack up and move to Los Angeles, that's not in Levin's future.
"Are you planning to move to LA?"
"Hell to the no."
And her reasoning is all about content creation.
It turns out she visited LA for a week and had no motivation to film a video.
Not exactly ideal for a YouTuber.
With so much success, it would be easy for
Levin to have the fame go to her head, but that isn't the way this YouTube star lives
her life.
During an interview with Forbes, the topic of her subscribers and fans came up.
Levin shared: "I normally try not to look at how many people
it is because I don't want to get cocky.
I want to be more humbled and honored by it."
For Levin, her focus is more on not becoming a stereotypical content creator.
She added: "I actually like to be the one who pushes,
not the industry, but the YouTube game in different directions."
Levin doesn't just make videos for fun she's
also partnered with other brands, establishing a solid career strategy for herself.
But it's important for Levin to partner with companies that make sense for her own personal
brand.
"What I find most effective when I work with brands currently is that they give me the
creative freedom to know what I know best for my channel."
This means not making the typical "getting ready" video for a partnership with Birchbox
at Coachella, but instead taking a humorous spin on it, showcasing the products in a way
that fit with her unique channel.
According to Levin's manager, it worked out great.
"She was like… they loved it!
They want to work with you again!
I was like Oh My God I'm so proud!"

Why Prince Charles Didn't Marry Camilla Parker Bowles In the First Place - Duration: 3:50.
On July 29, 1981, Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in a royal wedding watched by
750 million people.
according to the BBC.
It was, the worst day of her life.
Charles and Diana would go on to have an unhappy marriage filled with scandal, including Charles's
widely reported affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.
We all know how it ended.
Charles and Diana divorced in 1996.
Diana died in that tragic car crash in 1997.
And by 2005, Charles and Camilla had made things official and married.
But this whole saga may have been avoided, if it weren't for Camilla's shady father.
Almost a decade before his wedding to Diana, Charles had already fallen for Camilla.
In the Summer of 1972, the two began spending lots of time together.
Camilla's longtime on-again-off-again boyfriend Andrew Parker Bowles was out of the country
on army service, and she struck up a romantic relationship with Charles.
According to the new biography Prince Charles by bestselling author Sally Bedell Smith,
Charles felt at ease around Camilla, and they would spend evenings dancing at London nightclubs
or have dinners together at Camilla's flat.
That Fall, Camilla would stay with Charles at his uncle's estate so they could have "privacy"
— and they became even closer.
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall recently celebrated 13 years of marriage,
but anyone who's ever followed the royals knows that their relationship dates much further
back than that.
The future king reportedly met his second wife in the summer of 1971.
They immediately took to each other and jumped at every opportunity to spend time together.
Yet despite their close connection, it took another three decades for the couple to wed.
In between came an extramarital affair, plenty of scandal, two divorces, and a whole lot
of heartbreak.
It's tempting to wonder how history would have played out if they had simply stayed
together in the beginning, but just like any break-up, it's complicated.
Multiple factors both forced the couple apart and made a potential proposal impossible at
the time.
Camilla Shand met her first husband in 1965 at her debutante party.
"He was 25 and a rather beautiful officer in the Household Cavalry; she was 17 but remarkably
self-assured," Juror says.
"Andrew went over to her and simply said, 'Let's dance.'
They danced and she fell in love."
The couple shared an on-and-off relationship for the years that followed.
Andrew was away himself with his regiment when Camilla connected with the prince.
The ups and downs of their relationship also correlated with the officer's penchant for
other women.
At one point, he was even seeing Princess Anne, Prince Charles's younger sister.
According to Juror, his status as an eligible bachelor "only made him more attractive" to
Camilla.
Despite his well-established ways, Andrew finally proposed to his long-time girlfriend
in March 1973, when Prince Charles was thousands of miles away in the West Indies.
Camilla accepted the proposal and they wed the following year.
Andrew's proposal may have stemmed from more than just romance.
His brother and Camilla's father wanted the bachelor to commit to his girlfriend of nearly
seven years, so they reportedly hatched a plan.
"They intervened by publishing an engagement notice in The Times," Sally Bedell Smith wrote
in Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life.
"His hand publicly forced, Andrew proposed."

So you want to start a home healthcare agency and need a business plan? Watch this video for my secret sauce
on creating a winning business plan for a home healthcare agency. And for the best business advice
when starting and scaling a home healthcare agency
subscribe to my channel and hit the bell to be notified when I post a new video every Monday and
If you really want to start or scale a home healthcare agency and have no idea where to begin
Watch till the end of this video and you'll have a template that can be your go-to for starting your own agency
I've proven this formula by creating and scaling my own successful 8 figure agency and now
It's your turn. So
What is included in the business plan? I'll tell you the exact steps
Step 1 write your executive summary
Your executive summary is a high-level overview of who you are and what services you'll provide as a company
Think of this kind of much like your 30,000 foot view of the agency
It may be easier to skip this section in the beginning and write the summary last, kind of as a recap
But basically this is a summary of the problem
You're solving for your ideal customer.
Your solution, your target market, and information about you and any other members of management
your funding sources and your financial forecast
It's a brief summary to entice your reader to find out more
Section 2 is your company summary in this section
You'll want to include an in-depth description of the problem you're solving and how you plan to provide a solution
It should include a brief description of who you are and your background as well as any other founding members of the organization
But it's more a description of the company
So think of it as a similar to your resume
But the resume of the company- when it was founded where it was founded what your service area includes?
It's really like the nuts and bolts of your company
Step three is the services you provide
Your next section is going to include like who your ideal client is and how you plan to be their solution
You can include tables and graphs. Just whatever. You need to get your point across
Comment below with what type of services your agency is going to provide or what you're interested in providing
Step four is your Market Analysis summary? You have to know your competition
Think of how a team prepares for a game. I study their opponent
You have to know who you're up against to know that there's gonna be a solid need for your services
You'll also want to include who and where your clients are and where you'll find them and how you plan it - whether your services
That 5 is that your strategy and implementation
summary in this section
you're going to explain your sales in your marketing plan to obtain your
Patients as well as any other information that is involved in operating their business
Are you gonna recruit or?
Hire employees or contractors? How are you going to train them?
You're also going to include where your business will operate and any technology means or special equipment you either need or have
So think of this section kind of as your business roadmap
Step six is your management summary
this section is a summary of who you and other members of your management team are this is where you're going to include your
Background and your experiences and describe the functions and the rules that you plan on playing in the company
This kind of a resume absorbs, but your full resume is going to be added as an addendum to the back
Instead seven is your financial plan. This is where you'll put your profit and loss statements and your cash flow tables and
Also include your projections that you're going to make on how many patients are anticipating that you're gonna get per month per year
How many new hires you're gonna have?
And if you're requesting loans
You will have to detail as much as possible on how much money to need the launch and how much money
You plan to use for the first at least six months and how you plan to utilize that money
So comment below to let me know where you are in the process and where I can help you
Now, you know exactly what to do to create your business plan. Are you still a little bit confused?
Well good news
I've written a guy to help you and detail a little bit more of what we cover and the link is found below
So if you want to join a community of like-minded individuals

Cold War Nuclear Fallout Is Still Affecting the Pacific, What Does That Mean for Us? - Duration: 4:52.
These nuclear weapon explosions were part of a series of 66 tests
by the United States government during the Cold War.
The tests were conducted on the Marshall Islands, a remote area of the Pacific Ocean
earmarked for unlimited nuclear destruction.
These are the islands today, which are mostly abandoned.
Though they look like any tropical paradise, these scenic views are tainted with radioactivity.
The radioactivity left behind is so high that you can't move back there,
you can't grow crops there, eat them; you can't drink the water.
So we're talking 70 years later, we can't go back to these sites.
But Ken Buesseler and his research team went back, to measure
just how contaminated this paradise is.
When a nuclear weapon explodes, hundreds of radioactive isotopes are released,
including plutonium-239, which has a half-life of 24,000 years.
And though that rate of decay may seem slow, if you're unfortunate enough to be exposed
to a large amount of this over a lifetime, it could lead to major health problems.
- It's called global fallout.
And the idea was, where did that end up, right?
And the oceans are one place where it ended up.
Is that in the water?
Did it sink to the bottom?
Is it in the marine biota?
So one of the goals of our research trip was to find where the highest levels were
of these radioactive contaminants: plutonium, cesium.
Places we looked were the craters left behind from the hydrogen bombs––that would be
the Mike Test on Enewetak, and Bravo Test on Bikini, 1954.
So these are tests that are thousands of times greater in magnitude and strength,
producing a thousand times more fallout locally and across the globe than the smaller tests.
A challenge that we had to this day is knowing that, if I find plutonium in the lagoon,
in an organism, is it from a particular test?
So we do a lot of what we call fingerprinting: it's a lot like forensics,
as you'd see in a crime scene.
Ken uses radioactive tracers like radium to determine where the plutonium has settled
and if it's leaking from wells, lagoons, or any other groundwater sites.
Ken and his team found that seafloor sediments contributed the most plutonium to the ocean.
This wasn't a complete surprise.
Until atmospheric nuclear testing was banned in 1963, more than 5 tons of plutonium
were dispersed in the atmosphere.
Most of this fell into the oceans and sank,
because plutonium is not readily soluble in seawater.
Cesium was only about two times higher.
Plutonium, within those islands, is about 100 times higher than just outside,
so there has to be a source, 70 years later.
Because of these nuclear tests so long ago, former inhabitants of these islands,
and now their younger generations, may never be able to live there again.
- This is definitely one of those nations that will suffer the most from sea level rise
due to climate change, so they have this double-whammy.
They have the radioactive waste that hasn't allowed them to move home, and now,
they're experiencing the effects of sea level rise and loss of their entire island,
all their atolls, a place to live.
Ken's research here on the Marshall Islands draw parallels to what can be learned
from the Fukushima disaster in 2011.
- One's a nuclear reactor accident, one was an intentional explosion of nuclear weapons, okay.
But still, for the people who live close to these accidents, these high sources,
there's always the question of, "when can I move back?"
"What does that mean in terms of my health and safety?"
It's been frustrating that we run 400+ reactors around the world's oceans
around the edges and inland, and yet we aren't maintaining a cadre of science
to deal with the environmental consequences of doing that.
We live in a radioactive world; we can't get away from it.
So, despite us knowing about levels, what's considered okay or not, for your exposure
through food and air, there's always something that maybe is not considered.
That makes it also very hard to say, when is it okay to move back to certain areas?
And that's the same for Japan, and it will be for Japan for years to come, as it is today,
70 years later in the Marshall Islands.

Best Scalloped Red Potatoes Recipe - Duration: 3:05.
(upbeat music)
- Hey, everyone, Jerry James Stone here,
and today's recipe I'm super excited about
because it's one of my favorites.
I make the best scalloped potatoes,
and you're gonna love this scalloped potato recipe.
I swear it's not that hard,
and it's just decadent and rich and creamy,
and it's everything that you love about scalloped potatoes,
and you're gonna thank me later.
So, before I get into that, though,
be sure to check out my playlist on other potato recipes.
I have marbled mashed potatoes,
garlic mashed potatoes, lots of potato things,
so be sure to check out that playlist,
and in the meantime get over to the scalloped ones, okay?
Okay, so to begin making our scalloped potatoes
we're gonna thinly slice the potatoes.
You can use a food processor or salad shooter
or a mandolin, like I am, but just don't use a knife
You want them to be really, really thin.
Okay, so first we want to go ahead and preheat
our oven to 350 degrees.
Next, we're gonna melt some butter,
just over a medium heat.
Now we're going to add in some minced garlic.
And we're just gonna saute this for about a minute,
(warbling)
and add in our sliced potatoes.
(peppy music)
Just go ahead and add those all in there.
They don't have to be perfectly layered.
They will cook down, but you know,
try to smoosh 'em down a little bit.
Now we're gonna add in our half and half.
Add in some salt.
Add in some cracked pepper.
Okay, so you wanna bring the mixture to a boil,
and then we're just gonna reduce it down to a simmer,
and let it cook for about five minutes.
So after it's been simmering for about five minutes,
you'll notice that the potatoes have cooked down,
the sauce is thickening, so now
we're ready to move it to the oven.
And we're just gonna bake them for about an hour,
until they're nice and golden brown on top
and the sauce has thickened.
How great do those look?
Right, how delicious do those look?
I told you, it's not that hard,
and they're super, super good.
Trust me, super good.
Like this video, give me a thumbs up.
If it's your first time watching,
please subscribe, and if there's something
you wanna talk about, something you wanna see,
drop me a comment, happy to hear from you.
And I'll talk to you guys next time.
