Hello! In this capsule we will talk about two concepts that are used a lot like

synonyms but they are very different concepts of efficiency and effectiveness. The

efficiency and effectiveness go hand in hand but they do not mean the same thing. The

efficiency has to do with performance of resources, with making good use of

the resources. In general it has to do with using resources. Let's see an example:

let's take the field of juan that produces 15 tons per hectare.

His neighbor Pedro in the same field, with the same size, produces twelve tons

per hectare. We can say then that Juan is more efficient than Pedro in the

field management. We can say then that efficiency has to do with the

resources, in simple terms is to do more with less.

But doing more with less is without affecting the quality! Let's see an example: we have a

milk bottle that yields 10 glasses of milk

We could maximize that milk. Make it yield more?

Well ... let's see what we can do if we add water to that milk. then now

we are going to find that milk more water gives us 30 glasses of milk

Are we being efficient? DO NOT!

do more with less is without affecting the quality. Let's see now the other concept, the

efficiency concept. Efficiency tends to relate to achieving results, with

reach the goal, with achievements. Those three ideas are key! That is, we can say

that, in simple terms, the effectiveness it has to do with fulfilling the objectives.

Now that we know the concept of efficiency and the concept of effectiveness

we can say that efficiency plus the efficiency lead us to effectiveness,

And that's what matters! What should you remember then? that

Efficiency is related to resources, with its good use. Do more with less

but without affecting the quality. On the other hand, efficiency is rationed with

results and with achieving the objectives

Photoshop: Underwater Graphics! Create the Look of Graphics on the Bottom of a Swimming Pool. - Duration: 9:17.

Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

I'm going to show you how to place any graphic or text at the bottom of a crystal clear, swimming pool.

Notice how the text conforms to the contours of the water and how the water's surface reflections

remain bright and intact.

This is an update of a tutorial I did many years ago on an earlier version of Photoshop.

I provided this image of a swimming pool, so you can follow along.

Its link is in my video's description or project files.

Its size is 1920 by 1080 pixels and a resolution of 72 pixels per inch.

I also provided this water park logo for your convenience.

Feel free to replace it with different graphic, however, make sure your graphic is relatively

sharp with dimensions approximately this size, including it resolution.

Before we begin, if you're not already a subscriber to my channel, click that small Subscribe

button at the lower right, corner.

The first step is to separate the graphic from the background.

If the background is a solid color as in this example, open your Magic Wand Tool.

Make its Tolerance 10 pixels and make sure "Contiguous" is checked.

Contiguous ensures that similar colors inside the graphic won't be selected.

Click anywhere on the background to select it.

If you need to select other areas of the background, Shift-click those areas to include them, as well.

To check your selection, press "Q" on your keyboard to see it as a quick mask.

Then, revert it back to a selection by pressing "Q" again.

Click the lock icon on the right side of the layer to unlock it.

Then, press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to delete the background.

Deselect it by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + D. To place the graphic onto the swimming pool,

press "v" on your keyboard to open your Move Tool.

Drag the graphic onto the tab of the swimming pool.

Without releasing your mouse or pen, drag it down and release.

If you need to resize the graphic, open your Transform Tool by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + T.

Go to a corner and when you see a diagonal, double-arrow, press and hold Alt or Option

+ Shift, as you drag it in or out.

Then, press Enter or Return.

To center it, press Ctrl or Cmd + A to select the pool and click the "Align Horizontal Centers" icon

and the "Align Vertical Centers" icon.

Deselect it by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + D.

We'll move the graphic down by pressing and holding the Shift key and pressing the Down

arrow on our keyboard a few times.

The reason we doing this is because our graphic will appear centered once we angle our entire

image in perspective, In addition, we'll move the graphic 30 pixels to the left by pressing

and holding the Shift key as you press the left arrow three times.

We're doing this since the displacement map that we'll be using later will displace our

graphic 30 pixels the opposite way; to the right.

Next, we'll make a displacement map of the swimming pool, which we'll use to warp our

graphic to the contours of the water.

To do this, first, we'll duplicate the water layer by making it active and clicking the

icon at the upper right.

Click "Duplicate Layer".

Open the "Document" list, click "New" and name it "Displacement".

Then, click OK.

A duplicate of the swimming pool image was instantly created.

We'll use this copy for our displacement map.

Since displacement maps work best when they're slightly blurred, go to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.

Blur it 3 or 4 pixels.

Go to File and "Save As".

Choose your Desktop, so you can find it easily.

Save it as a Photoshop PSD document and click "Save".

Since it's now saved onto our Desktop, we can close the document.

Next, we'll save the graphic as a Smart Object, so we can modify it non-destructively, as

well as replace it with a different graphic or text without having to redo any of the effects.

Click the icon at the upper, right of the Layers panel and click "Convert to Smart Object".

Go back to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.

Blur it 2 pixels.

Go back to Filter, Distort and "Displace".

Type in 30 in the Horizontal and Vertical Scales, since we slid our graphic 30 pixels

to the left, however, keep in mind, the higher the scale number, the more displaced our graphic will look.

Depending on the complexity of your graphic, you may want to displace it at a lower scale,

such as 10 or 20, other wise your graphic may look too distorted.

Tick "Stretch To Fit" and "Repeat Edge Pixels".

Click the "Displacement" document you saved and click "Open".

Instantly, our graphic has been warped to the contours of the water.

Next, we'll make our graphic appear to be on the bottom of the pool.

Let's close the effects to save space in the Layers panel.

Change the Blend Mode to "Lighten" and reduce the opacity to 40%.

Make a copy of the layer by pressing Ctrl or Cmd J. Change its Blend Mode to "Overlay"

and reduce its opacity to 70%.

Next, we'll angle our entire image in perspective.

To do this, place all three layers into a folder by clicking off the lock icon to unlock

the water and Shift-clicking the top layer to make all the layers active.

Then, press Ctrl or Cmd + G to place them into a folder.

To place it in perspective, we need more room around our image.

Zoom out of your document by pressing Ctrl or Cmd and the minus key on your keyboard twice.

Go to Edit, Transform and Perspective.

If you see this message, it's just letting us know that the effects we added will be

temporarily turned off while we use the Transform Tool.

Just click OK.

Go to a bottom corner and drag it out until your image is at a perspective you like.

Then, press Enter or Return.

To zoom back in, press Ctrl or Cmd and the Plus key on your keyboard.

Lastly, let's brighten our image.

Click the Adjustment Layer icon and click, "Levels".

In the Input midtone field, type in: 0.90 and the the Input Highlight field, type in: 220.

If you want to replace your graphic with text, open the folder and double-click any Smart

Object to open its source image.

Make a new layer and hide the graphic.

Open your Horizontal Type Tool and pick a font.

I find that heavier weights for this effect tend to have the best results.

I'll use a size of approximately 410 points, so it's large enough to see, however, once

it's typed out, I'll be adjusting its size to fit the document.

Choose "Center alignment" and black for its color.

Click on the center of the document and type out your text.

To adjust its size, highlight all the text and place your cursor over the Size icon.

Drag it to the right or left.

Open your Move Tool, close the text document and when you see this message, just click

"Yes" to replace the graphic with the text.

Aortic Regurgitation (Aortic Insufficiency) Explained Clearly - Remastered - Duration: 12:27.

well welcome to another MedCram lecture we could talk about a or decree Gurjit

ation we're gonna talk about the causes the pathophysiology clinical features

physical diagnosis treatment and when we should do surgery so specifically we're

talking about the aortic valve and what regurgitation simply means is that the

valve is incompetent and we get backflow and what are the causes of that and what

do we do about it and in terms of causes you can kind of

break it down into those less than 50 and those greater than 50 those less

than 50 that have a or tic insufficiency are usually due to post inflammatory

those after the age of 50 have usually to do with aortic root dilatation and so

specifically the post inflammatory the type of things that you want to think

about our rheumatic heart disease or our h d rheumatic heart disease infectious

endocarditis think about syphilis and then in terms of a otic root dilatation

think about other things think about age-related or the other one

to think about is more fans Marfan syndrome as you may know is where

they're very tall they've got long legs long legs and long arms and they can get

Eric root dilatation in terms of other things to think about is think about

lupus or SLE and this thing called ankylosing spondylitis and callosum

spinal eyes that's where they get the bamboo spine okay so the pathophysiology

of this is that this valve the aortic valve becomes leaky and blood goes back

into the left ventricle and this occurs of course during diastole

so it's diastolic that means between s2 and then at the beginning of s1 again as

a result of that it's going to cause the left ventricle to become bigger because

blood is coming back in it's going to increase the preload and as a result of

the fact that it's pumping more blood you're also they get hypertrophy so

you see it's in diastole you got to get a murmur diastolic murmur okay that

diastolic murmur because it's on the left side anything that increases the

left side is going to cause the diastolic murmur to get bigger so what

are those things that causes the left side to get bigger would be any kind of

straining okay anything that increases afterload and what's going to cause it

to get smaller the the murmur to get smaller well anything that decreases the

left side of the heart so that would be a valsalva or anything that causes

dilation of the peripheral vasculature that would be like amyl nitrate now as

you may recall this a Horta kind of works as what the german word is like a

wind Kessel basically it expands during systole and then as diastole occurs it

contracts as it contracts the kind of ends ends up like being a pump by itself

pumping the blood forward however in a or decree Gurjit ation instead of that

blood going forward the blood goes backwards and backwards here into the

left ventricle so you're gonna get left ventricular hypertrophy and you're gonna

get an increase in the left ventricular end-diastolic volume now in addition to

that because during diastole you've got all this blood coming back into the left

ventricle you're gonna see a low diastolic blood pressure and because

there's more blood in the left ventricle right before systole more blood is going

to be ejected out and so therefore you're going to see an increase in

systolic blood pressure this is known as a increase in the pulse pressure which

sets up some pretty interesting physical exam findings so in other words when you

take the blood pressure and you take the systolic over the diastolic you're going

to see that the difference between those two pressures is going to go up so let's

quickly talk about some of the clinical features that you might see as we

mentioned you're going to see in you're going to see LVH left ventricular

hypertrophy or a left ventricular end-diastolic

vol which is increased the other thing that you might see is syncope just like

we saw an aortic stenosis however there's a couple of reasons why you

might see that here the first is that if the diastolic pressure is so low that

you can't maintain an adequate perfusion you're gonna see syncope but the other

thing that you're gonna see here and this is a little bit more subtle as you

might see angina now why is that you think you should know is that the

coronaries come off of this area in the aorta and what drives blood pressure or

what drives perfusion in these very important coronary arteries is actually

the diastolic blood pressure okay because flow occurs mainly through the

time period of diastole and so during diastole is when you're gonna get this

pressure here pushing blood through the arteries to the myocardium if your

diastolic blood pressure is low because it's instead of going into the

coronaries it's going back here into the left ventricle you're gonna get a

decreased coronary artery perfusion pressure and as a result you're gonna

get angina now one thing I will say is that when you look at systole through

the cardiac cycle from one period to the next period let's say we start at s1 s2

is fairly short after it and then you've got diastole so this is systole and this

is diastole okay now where is this regurgitant flow occurring it's

occurring between s2 and the next s 1 which is diastole something that you may

not know is that when you speed up the heart rate this period of time between

s1 and s2 doesn't really change much it stays the same what does change is the

time period of diastole it gets shorter and shorter to allow for a faster heart

rate the point is is that as the heart rate speeds up diastole becomes shorter

and shorter and therefore the time for regurgitation becomes less and less so

as a result of this you usually see that tachycardia is well tolerated

okay so tachycardia is well tolerated in a or t'k insufficiency okay

let's talk about physical diagnosis what you'll see is because this is getting

larger you'll see the apical impulse is going to be displaced downward and to

the left and then the actual diastolic murmur is going to be a high-pitched

murmur heard at the left sternal border and it's going to actually be heard

quite well if you have the patient lean forward so if they're sitting on a table

have them lean forward and then place the stethoscope there that'll bring that

murmur closer to the chest wall and you'll be able to hear it much better

now an interesting thing that occurs is something called the Austin Flint murmur

it's actually one guy just with two different names

Austin Flint is the murmur that occurs when blood goes back across the aortic

valve and because it's flowing in here it tends to keep this mitral valve

closed or at least almost closed now remember that blood is supposed to be

going from the left atrium into the left ventricle during diastole and if this

blood from the aorta is coming in and closing that valve or at least I try and

attempt to to close that valve you're gonna get a functional a or Dart mitral

stenosis that is the murmur of the Austin Flint and that's a rumbling okay

that's a rumbling sound so you might hear a high-pitched murmur and then a

rumbling throughout diastole that could be an Austin Flint murmur that's

associated with an aortic regurgitation murmur that's the from the vibrations

now we talked before about this increased pulse pressure so that the

systolic blood pressure is high and the diastolic is low that it causes a change

or a pulse pressure that's gonna make the pulse pressure go up from our

equation as a result of this you'll see that that people's pulses are very

bounding and they're very large and amplitude and there's a number of things

that are found on physical exam you may want to know some of the names but

they're not essential so this is known as a corridor pulse

okay if you've listened to this or if you feel this in the femoral area it's

known as a pistol shot okay that's the femoral if you hear a diastolic bruit

over the femoral area so a diastolic bruit that's known as the Rozier sign D

you are oh z IE z de rozier sign okay now if you see a bobbing head that's

known as doom you say sign de space M u SS et and interesting they used to think

that Abraham Lincoln had Marfan's disease because they felt number one he

was very tall and also that whenever they looked at pictures of him they

found that his head was kind of a blur and they needed to take long exposures

back in those days and because of this Dumas a sign that he must have had from

an aortic regurgitation that they felt that this was proof that he had Marfan's

disease I don't I think the jury was out on that they don't really know if he did

or not it or maybe the photographer was just a bit too shaky anyhow just a

little way to put all that together another thing is quickies pulse quickies

pulse is when you look at the nail bed of your fingers and you see that there's

a blushing and blanching so these are all signs of aortic insufficiency of

course you're going to order an echocardiogram to make the final

diagnosis on that but interesting nonetheless so again how are you going

to make the diagnosis and today's day and age it's going to be echocardiogram

they're gonna be able to look at the valve they'll be able to tell you how

much regurgitation there is and some other things that might lead you to

think is a chest x-ray what are you gonna see on a chest x-ray well if that

if it's severe you'll see this left ventricle and large you will also see

pulmonary vascular congestion possibly obviously a cardiologist before surgery

is going to do a right heart cath where they actually float in a catheter into

this area they can release contrast and they can see how much is going back and

forth and they can actually calculate the regurgitant of all

in terms of treatment you're gonna want to make sure most the blood is going out

so the way you do that is with loop diuretics to get rid of some of this

excess fluid and then you want to reduce afterload and that would be with

something like nitrates or hydralazine you don't want to use things like beta

blockers that slow the heart rate down because remember if you slow the heart

rate down it's going to increase the time in diastole this is going to

increase regurgitation and it may steal away some of your perfusion from your

coronary arteries you actually see a reversal of flow in the coronary as if

if the regurgitation is that bad then your patients will start having angina

okay so surgery when you do surgery basically when you start to see left

ventricular decompensation so when you see the ejection fraction going down

when you see more congestive heart failure it's really a cardiologist call

but that's when you get referral and of course you're going to get an aortic

valve replacement you can either get a bio prosthetic valve which does not

require anticoagulation or you'll get a mechanical valve which does require

anticoagulation thank you for joining us

hi guys, I'm sick :) and I get to say that now because I can pretend that it's an

Americanism that's rubbed off on me while I've been living here and not

something that I've actively avoided saying out loud for years. So yeah I'm

sick and you can tell by my voice but that's okay we're gonna power through it.

Welcome back! But if you're new here, hi, I'm crazy! But you know what, you clicked

on the video title, so *weird swishy noise?*. One of my favorite people on YouTube, her name is Hailey

Reese, recently did a video that was about this Ouija board demon which is like, on

the scale of Ouija board demons this one's pretty *voice breaks* bad.

*Upbeat music* As far as ouija board

demons go this is not one you want to interact with and she doesn't say the

name all the way through the video and I don't want to say the name either

because I never have and I never will, it creeps me out and I don't wanna be,

you know... I was gonna say I don't want to be like haunted and stuff but it's a

little bit late for that. So yeah one time I was pretty convinced that I had

met this demon as a human. I was out with my friends when I met this man and I'm

gonna call him Brandon I actually can't remember what he said his name was at

the time he acted very strange from the beginning and at one point he told us he

met Jesus. So I'm like, no you didn't, and so I was like messing with him pretending not

to understand what he was saying, and I was like oh my gosh you're Jesus. I don't

know it seemed funny at the time I was like 16 so he's telling us that he met

Jesus and I'm like "you're Jesus!" as if I'm stupid and he was really really

offended like he was visibly upset about being compared to Jesus I know that

maybe if you're religious that's not - not something that you might take as a joke.

He didn't seem all that religious but then he was pretty sure he met Jesus so

I don't know but he took great offense, serious offense to the

implication that he was Jesus which was strange. Granted not demon evidence but

weird, right? He did some other weird things such as change his age from 24 to

21 when he found out that I was 16 but that's like those are weird things that

men do sometimes so again not demon evidence could just be weird. Oh yeah did

I forget to mention he was a "rapper"? And I think I videoed it so um if I still

have the audio from that I'm gonna play it now.

So that was all in the past, I went home my friends came home with me

we'd all interacted with the *stumbles and goes blehblehbleh lol* we'd all interacted with this guy

throughout the day and one of my friends, who by the way is the same friend that

took money from my stalker to send me things which if you have no idea what

I'm talking about there's a video on that too and if you're starting to think

what is this girl's life, yeah that's what I've been thinking for about a decade

now. So anyway my friend who took money from my stalker asked the guy I thought

was a demon for his email address. Actually she asked for any method of

communication she probably asked for a phone number or Facebook something that

people in 2013 because that's probably more like what this was use and he only

had an email address. He didn't have a phone he didn't have social media or

anything he just had an email address. So we get home and my friend looks at his

email address and she says, Katie you will not believe this. Now, just the day

before was the first day that I learned about this Ouija board demon, I didn't

know that it existed until then but the day before

I met this man I learned it's name and my friend says Katie look at this email

address, and I looked and his email address had the name of this demon in it

and I think it was like the demons name and then another word and then some

numbers or the demons name and some numbers I don't know the point is the

main focus of the email address was the name of the Ouija board demon that I had

found out about 24 hours before. So now I'm sitting there like this guy his email

address has the Ouija board demons name in it, he did a lot of weird things he

said he saw Jesus and then got extremely offended by the implication that what if

he's Jesus - this guy could be a demon, and I didn't think about it too much but for

like a week after that I kept having dreams about this guy who I'd met the

one time and never ever spoke to again although, he did email my friend

back so that is confirmed his email address. This guy who I met once I

dreamed about every night for like a week and in every single dream he would

turn from the person I met into this weird demon form and the one that sticks

with me was where I dreamed I was just talking to him and then he bit off his

own tongue and this like slimy white stuff came out of it and his eyes turned

white and it was all very gross and very creepy, but I haven't had a dream like

that in several years and I hope I never do again I hope I never have any kind of

encounter like this again I hope I never see this guy again because this whole

thing weirded me out and I know you're sitting there like Katie you didn't meet a demon but

listen I was like 16 years old. Maybe listen to the rap and let me know what

kind of vibe you guys get from it that would be interesting. So that was the

time I thought I met the Ouija board demon :)

Elderly man screams 'I'm too old' as yob throws him to floor in sickening attack - Daily News - Duration: 3:01.

 A yob was filmed attacking a terrified pensioner who begged him: "Please! Please! Please! I'm too old!"  In the distressing clip, a thug grabs the elderly man and violently throws him to the ground so he hits his head on the pavement

  At the end of the video , the old man is left moaning in pain as he lies incapacitated on the street

 The incident was filmed in a suburb of Moseley, Birmingham.  The appalling attack is believed to have taken place on Tuesday and the footage has been shared across social media

 The video - which appears to have been captured by a bystander - begins with the pensioner and the male having an inaudible exchange

 In the video, the thug suddenly grabs the old man's right arm and tries to push him to the ground

 The elderly man loses his balance and begins to stagger. He desperately begs his assailant to stop and pleads: "Please! Please! Please! I'm too old!"  But the yob ignores him and he brutally throws the old man to the ground so that his head hits the pavement with a walloping smash

 Bystanders can be heard gasping in shock as the pensioner forcefully falls to the ground

 The elderly male lies injured on the ground and winces in pain. The thug is heard cursing at the pensioner: "Don't f*** round

So you can't f*** around you d****head".  An onlooker is then heard telling the assailant "That's out of order!" and the assailant angrily replies "Eh?"

 The person reproaches him again and repeats: "That was out of order."  Then another child in the background can be heard admonishing the thug and shouts

 Shockingly, the assailant threatens the kid and intimidatingly says: "Do you want some as well?"  The camera then pans to the elderly pensioner's shoes as he lies incapacitated on the pavement

The video then cuts to an end.  West Midlands Police have been reached for comment

Stefanos Tsitsipas beats Ernests Gulbis in straight sets to win the Stockholm Open - Duration: 3:34.

While Kyle Edmund was making his breakthrough in Antwerp, Greek youngster Stefanos Tsitsipas added to his growing reputation by claiming his maiden ATP title too

The 20-year-old was outside the world's top 100 at the start of the year but has enjoyed a rapid rise which yesterday saw him beat Latvia's Ernests Gulbis 6-4, 6-4 in the final of the Stockholm Open

Tsitsipas, who was ranked 16 going into the Swedish event, has matured into one of the sport's most dangerous newcomers

In August at the Rogers Cup in Toronto he became the youngest player to beat four top-10 opponents at a single event since the ATP World Tour began in 1990, eventually losing to Rafa Nadal in the final

A few months earlier in Barcelona he became the first Greek man to reach an ATP final since 1973

He has already qualified for the ATP Next Gen Finals in Milan next month.Tsitsipas (below) made up for losing two finals this year by outplaying Gulbis in a clinical display

There were also British winners in Sweden.Luke Bambridge and Jonny O'Mara defeated third seeds Marcus Daniell of New Zealand and Dutchman Wesley Koolhof 7-5, 7-6 to take the doubles title in Stockholm

In Moscow, home favourite Karen Khachanov made sure he will break into the top 20 today after beating Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the Kremlin Cup
