Why?

Here's a look at the truth behind Taco Bell's seasoned beef.

A horse, of course

A horse is a horse, of course, of course.

But is it also in your taco?

That's just one of several urban legends that have popped up surrounding Taco Bell's seasoned

beef.

Most of these rumors are just that, rumors, with no basis in fact.

For instance, if you've heard that Taco Bell uses incredibly cheap "Grade D" meat, don't

believe it, because there's no such thing as "Grade D" meat.

And the idea that Taco Bell's seasoned beef is filled out with mealworms because they

are cheaper than beef is bogus, considering mealworms actually range anywhere from $10

to $20 per pound.

The urban myth that Taco Bell is serving up horse meat, however, is somewhat based in

reality.

Back in 2013, it was discovered that some shipments of beef used in Europe by restaurant

chains including Taco Bell included trace amounts of horse meat.

In response, Taco Bell announced it was pulling beef off its menu entirely until the situation

was cleared up.

The tainted meat never made it to America, so there's no chance you accidentally ate

horse.

Even before the whole horsemeat thing, Taco Bell was under fire for its ingredients.

In 2011, an Alabama law firm filed a lawsuit insisting that the chain's "seasoned beef"

actual beef.

The lawsuit was withdrawn almost immediately, in part because Taco Bell responded by releasing

a full list of ingredients showing that its seasoned beef is actually 88 percent beef.

But the damage was done.

After demanding an apology, the company reportedly spent up to $4 million on ads explaining that

its beef was, in fact, beef.

So if 12 percent of Taco Bell's beef isn't actually beef, what is it?

According to the fast food giant, the other ingredients include normal stuff like onion

powder, sea salt, salt, chili pepper, tomato powder, and garlic powder, along with less

Yes, it sounds strange, but after Taco Bell revealed the composition of its meat, Slate

wrote an editorial suggesting that Taco Bell should use more filler and less meat.

Because the huge demand for beef to supply fast food chains around the world is putting

44,000 Bombs in 2017: The Result of Ignoring the Constitution on War - Duration: 3:31.

Give government an inch and they always take a

mile. Especially when it comes to war powers.

Under the Constitution, Congress has the power to

determine if the country will declare war and

against whom. Only after that decision is made by

the Congress, the President takes charge of waging

that war. James Madison put it this way,

"The constitution supposes, what the history of all

governments demonstrates, that the executive is

the branch of power most interested in war, and

most prone to it. It has accordingly with studied

care vested the question of war in the legislature."

Hammering things home, Madison pointed out that

the Constitution gave the president no authority

to decide the question of whether or not the

country would declare war.

In the 18th Century, to "declare" war was widely understood as

making a decision to enter a war. This could be

done with a printed statement. Or it

could be done in any number of other ways.

John Adams said the mere act of arresting a person

and taking them back to another country for a

trial - without the permission of the home country

should be considered an act of war.

Withdrawing from a treaty

was also seen as evidence of an intent to wage war.

For example, in 1787 the French

regarded a British withdrawal from a naval

treaty as a formal declaration of war.

One leading scholar noted that "the most forceful

and unambiguous declaration of war was the

commencement of general hostilities."

A very typical Founding-era dictionary

definition of war was, "the exercise of violence

under sovereign command against such as oppose."

As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

Faced with these facts, many people today just

twist definitions. For example, one common view is

that "limited airstrikes don't count as war."

But under the Constitution, dropping a single bomb

on another country over their opposition is an

act of war.

Twisting these definitions isn't just wrong,

it has led to some pretty terrible results too.

Under George W Bush's two terms in office, the military

dropped over 70,000 bombs. Not to be outdone,

Barack Obama raised that number to 100,000.

Donald Trump is putting those numbers to shame

so far, with more than 44,000 bombs dropped in just his

first year in office even though the country

isn't supposedly at "war" with anyone.

The lesson here should be straightforward.

When you turn a blind eye to violations of Constitutional

limits, or you change definitions in the document

to fit your own political goals, you shouldn't be

surprised when politicians act like there are

no limits at all.

The Olympic Games always features a number of sports

that attract the curiosity of the casual sports fans.

That's part of the attraction, right?

But as we all enjoy the delights on offer,

it's important to remember that these events are the survivors.

They've made it through a selection process

that's been going on for more than a century.

Sports have come and gone as the Games have evolved.

So let's discover some of the more eclectic

and unexpected entrants.

To get the ball rolling,

let's go back to the opening ceremony

at Lake Placid in 1932.

The Olympic Games are on.

Now for a little novelty, my speciality -

skating on stilts.

But that was just a bit of fun.

Now on to the real Games.

Rope climbing was one of the original events

way back in 1896.

Competitors had to climb a 15-metre rope

as quickly as possible.

Only two of them managed it, so for future Games

it was reduced to a much more manageable eight metres.

It appeared intermittently

until being permanently discontinued in 1932.

But the Olympic Games haven't always reserved

solely for physical prowess.

Between 1912 and 1948,

there were medals available in architecture,

literature, music, painting, and sculpture.

The events had subcategories too.

There was a period in history

when it was possible to win an Olympic Gold for town planning.

The road to Olympic glory perhaps.

The art contest caught the eye

of some of the athletes.

Walter Winans of the USA followed up his shooting gold

at the 1908 Olympic Games with another first-place finish

in the 1912 sculpture contest.

He also wrote ten books,

including Shooting For Ladies and How to Drive A Trotter.

A regular Renaissance man.

Within the sculpture event, there was a medal competition,

so participants had the opportunity

to win a gold medal for making a medal.

And if you finished in last place,

you could literally be sent home with your loser's medal.

The art competition attracted all sorts of entrants.

The founder of the Olympic Games,

Pierre de Coubertin, won the literature gold in 1912

for his poem Ode To Sport.

The plunge for distance made its first and only appearance

it involved diving into a pool

and seeing how far you travelled underwater

it wasn't much of a spectator sport,

noting that the diver "moves at a pace

"somewhat akin to a snail."

A fresh water snail, we assume.

Well, we can't improve on that description.

But the more left-field entrants aren't the preserve

of black-and-white images.

This was going on as recently as 1992.

What do you get when you combine snow,

outrageous outfits and devastating dance moves?

The noble sport of ski ballet.

The Winter Olympic Games in Albertville

wasn't just the home of ski ballet.

Speed skiing also made an appearance

as a demonstration sport.

It was pretty simple, really.

Ski down a hill in a straight line,

and see how fast you can go.

With speeds of up to 200kmph,

these athletes weren't messing around.

But it wasn't enough to save the sport

from being relegated to the Olympic history books.

The evolution of the Olympic Games

is an ongoing process.

New events arrive, others depart.

Some even come back again,

and the show goes on.

It's a celebration of sport,

and no matter what sport,

there are people who have dedicated their lives

to perfecting it,

and that deserves a standing ovation.

Trump Voters Realize Trump Doesn't Care About Them As He Ruins Their Lives - Duration: 3:55.

A new report out recently in The Detroit News tells the story of farmers that have been

directly affected by Donald Trump's trade wars.

See, the farming industry was one of the first ones to be hit the hardest with Donald Trump's

tariffs on goods coming into the United States and the retaliatory tariffs on goods leaving

the United States destined for other countries.

The farming sector was the very first one that was hit.

They have seen the most job losses so far.

According to the people interviewed by The Detroit News, who all by the way happen to

be Donald Trump supporters, nobody seems to care that they're losing their livelihoods.

In the report, these farmers, again, who all voted for Donald Trump admit that they're

being squeezed virtually to death on their farms because of the tariffs that Donald Trump

himself put in place.

They understand that.

They recognize the connection.

Their suffering is because of Donald Trump's policies.

There's nothing that can whitewash what has happened to these people because they understand

it.

They regret their votes and so instead of trying to plead their case to Donald Trump

to end the trade wars, these farmers claim that they have been reaching out to Republican

representatives in Congress only to find out that Republicans don't care about them.

That's right.

These farmers, who voted for Donald Trump, voted for other Republican members of Congress,

probably voted Republican their whole life, they're trying to reach their representatives,

get a message across that says we are dying here, and it's your fault, please fix it,

and no one has even bothered to respond.

No one is going to tell them it's going to be okay or that this administration has an

exit strategy for their trade wars because they don't.

They simply don't care.

Those aren't my words.

Those are actually the words that those farmers are using to describe Republicans in Congress

and Donald Trump himself.

They don't care.

They don't care about the suffering.

They don't care about the job losses.

They don't care about the income losses that these people are suffering.

Some of them have said that their income has dropped to 60% of what it was, so it's fallen

by 40% in two months.

A 40% drop in income for these farmers in just two is very traumatic.

That is a sudden shock for any family or any individual trying to make a living in this

country or in any country 'cause you're basically, you're a few clicks away from that being half

your income is suddenly gone.

When you're able to pin that on one single person, in this case, Donald Trump, because

he has acted solely and without the consent of anyone else with regards to these trade

wars, it's his fault.

He is destroying these people's lives.

The voted for him.

They admit they got hoodwinked.

They were swindled, but now they just want somebody, anybody in Congress to listen to

them, and they can't even get that.

That is what Republicans do best though.

Republicans don't care how their policies affect the average worker out there, or the

farm owner, or the small business owner regardless of what they say.

They only care about how their policies affect their wealthy donors.

It's been that way for quite a while actually.

Decades.

So, if these farmers, unless you're making 10, 20, 30 million dollars a year and hosting

Republican fundraisers at $25,000 a plate, they don't care what happens to you, and their

actions right now, along with the actions of the President of the United States, prove

that.

Intuition often speaks.

Intuition is the ability to know and understand without the need to think and study in depth.

Intuition can also mean whisper or impulse.

Relying on intuition in making decisions is not necessarily a bad thing, even may be done

when faced with certain situations.

Decision makers tend to use intuition when faced with ambiguous or no precedent issues,

marked by complex and inadequate information.

Especially when the time available to process information is insufficient.

In terms of decisions, intuition is used to make decisions that are not routine, but are

very important to the organization of the end result can not be ascertained.

However, in business rational decisions must arise.

There are usually six steps in the rational decision-making process, disclosing the problem,

identifying criteria, weighting criteria based on importance, suggesting alternatives, ranking

each alternative on each criterion, and considering the selected decision.

The cognitive aspect in the decision-making process is judgment, which should avoid the

 CIUDAD DE MÉXICO. En el marco del Día del Perro, que se celebra este sábado, el Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (Metro) invita a la ciudadanía a conocer a los ejemplares que están en el Centro de Transferencia Canina, luego de haber sido encontrados en sus instalaciones y que pueden ser adoptados

 En ese espacio se localizan 'La Dorada', una perrita de un año, de tamaño mediano, tranquila y sociable que fue encontrada en las vías de la estación Zapotitlán; al igual que 'Acatli', también de un año de edad, sociable y juguetona, que fue localizada en las vías de la estación Peñón Viejo

 Otros ejemplares que también están en adopción son: Aca, Andrés, Oli, Pina, Santa, Taxqueño, Temo, Zapi, Viejo, Vert, Verde, Tlahua, Tica, Nezz, Manchas, Lapo y Amor, quienes son atendidos y cuidados por personal del Metro en ese Centro, que se ubica en la delegación Azcapotzalco

¿Sabes cuál es el origen del meme 'dice mi mamá que'?  Refiere que entre los requisitos están: descargar y llenar el formato para la adopción de caninos, presentarse en el Centro de Transferencia Canina, ubicado en Avenida de las Culturas s/n, colonia El Rosario, delegación Azcapotzalco (frente a la estación de Metrobús Colegio de Bachilleres 1, de la Línea 6) de 9:00 a 18:30 horas

Informes en el teléfono 56274142.  Así como presentar copia del INE u otro documento oficial, copia del comprobante de domicilio (máximo tres meses atrás de luz, agua, predial o teléfono)

Posteriormente, al interesado se te programará una visita domiciliaria.  En caso de cumplir con los requisitos se agendará fecha de entrega

La mascota se entrega bañada, con vacuna antirrábica y esterilizada, dependiendo del tiempo que lleve en el Centro de Transferencia
